Staff were great. Rooms are super clean

We stayed 7 years ago with no kids and came back with our 1 year old baby and still had a great time. Staff was most accommodating and all of the amenities are fantastic.

Staff was really nice and the food and drinks there were great! The zuzu restaurant has good food too. The counter staff at check out weren’t extremely helpful! I mentioned the ant problem and they didn’t do much of anything to accommodate or compensate me for that which would have been excellent customer service. I was a little disappointed!

Room well-appointed and clean. Linens very good quality. Grounds are well designed landscaping providing a relaxing environment.

Everything was great. The food was also great. Only problem was ants in the room.

The valet staff were excellent and friendly. The Zuzu not so much. And the happy hour drink offerings were sparse. The room was large, clean and well appointed. Housekeeping was also very attentive and friendly. Really appreciated the complimentary bottled water. We weren't sure.if the snacks were also complimentary because there was no info on that. Good value for a very elegant, quiet and modernized resort. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

The mid century modern vibe is so awesome. The rooms were clean and hip with great toiletries. The pool vibe was fun and refreshing. We loved the Valley Ho!

My first room smell like fish, they transferred me to another room which had no air conditioning. The guy at the lobby told me he could get me a fan. Imagine 105 degrees in Arizona with a fan. Was moved to a 3rd room. Had great air conditioning. The last two days no housekeeping. Didn’t do the rooms. I was just so annoyed at this point, that I just asked for towels. Waited two days for towels. Finally my husband had to go searching for a cart to get towels. The manager Kyle and Assistant Manager Karl tried their best to make things better. But, at this moment I was just done.

We loved everything about our stay! We stayed in a suite. We had a beautiful mountain view, sunrise and sunset view. We enjoyed ourselves at the swimming pools. The “drinks” were nice. They did not hold back on those drinks if you know what I mean lol We didn’t get to eat at there restaurants because we had an itinerary of where to go eat at. But we definitely can’t wait to come back ☺️

All team members were helpful and kind. Clean rooms and well manicured grounds. Great location walkable to Old Scottsdale. Most importantly---the pool was the perfect temperature! Vallet members were very informative and helpful. We definitely stay here again!

Our annual trip to the Ho was spectacular..relaxing. Love sitting by the and people watching. Would say that pool is not as sparkling clean like it normally has been the next morning.

The folks were very nice, spacious, and smelled very pleasantly! The lobby is beautiful and easy to follow. The restaurant was very nice, I saw many pictures on social media and seeing it in person was crazy cool! The pools tho I wish were bigger, kinda small for a biggggg hotel! This is an amazing property. The staff are so friendly and helpful, very clean and spacious rooms and nice pool area. Walking distance to old town and if it’s not too hot it could be walking distance to Fashion Mall! We will definitely be returning the next time we are in PHX.

Loved that it has two pools, one that is quiet and perfect for reading a book and the other has live dj's on the weekends, a bar and food. Close to everything in Old Town. We would definately stay here again.

The entire hotel team was friendly, welcoming, and always approachable. The room was cleaned daily and was consistently well maintained. The restaurant offered great food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

Huge room, I booked the one with the tub and it was great! Pools were clean and well maintained, restaurant food was kinda meh.

The valet crew was remarkable. I kept odd hours on this trip and every single valet was fast, helpful, offered a bottled water to go, scanned for left-behinds, and had smiles and positive attitudes. Every one of them! It set the tone for the quality of the hotel stay. The rest of the hotel and staff were great, but the valets made it top notch. Thanks guys!

As for price, I booked through Expedia (Hotels.com) but the nightly price was increased from my selection after I confirmed the booking. Booking via hotels.com, I regret because I ended up paying over $200 for premium Daybed poolside for 4 adults through resortpass while it was obvious, overnight guests don’t have to pay for entrance to the pool. You think as a guest, they would offer a better rate. Be careful booking ahead as you most likely can get a better deal when you arrive if available. Everything was a 20% automatic gratuity regardless of the service. I love the location and the theme, but I need to have better deals to return.

Staff was incredibly accommodating for me and setting up my proposal weekend there. Everything was top notch, amazing weekend.

My wife and I spent 3 days there last weekend for our babymoon. We loved the property. The staff were helpful and courteous. The food and drinks at the pool were amazing. We did a couples massage at the spa that was great. We also loved the walkability of the area. We wandered around and visited nearby shops, food, and a farmers market. All in all would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future!

From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, the entire experience was exceptional. As a special surprise for our anniversary, the staff graciously upgraded us to one of their beautiful suites in Building 6. The room was stunning; spacious, comfortable and complete with an amazing patio that provided plenty of outdoor living space. We were so grateful for the thoughtful upgrade and the warm hospitality. The location was perfect, with restaurants, shopping and entertainment all within easy walking distance. Everything we wanted to explore was conveniently nearby, making our stay even more enjoyable. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Thank you for making our anniversary trip so memorable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at with all of the flowers and palm trees! Finding my room was a bit confusing at first but once I found it, it was well worth it. Great view of the pool and the patio was such a nice bonus and perfect for morning coffee and sunbathing. Staff was extremely friendly and, Scout, even shared the best place to thrift! Super walkable and convenient. I’ll definitely be back

Loved the property . Friendly staff . Clean room and property. This is my go-to-place when I am in Scottsdale. But this time it was different: I tolerated marijuana smoke all day including at 2 am . I didn’t like staying in the room . If you enjoy smoking the devil’s lettuce then this is stoner paradise. However, I find the smoke very irritating. I didn’t enjoy my stay for that reason .

This is a beautiful hotel to stay in. Very conveniently situated for Old Town Scotsdale and all the restaurants. The service at the hotel was really good, we couldn't fault anything. We'll definitely stay again.

I stayed at the Valley Ho twice this year. I have to say that I probably won't stay anywhere else in Scottsdale when I return. I feel the price whether high (like this Memorial Day weekend) or low (off season) is worth it. The valet and the front desk (Kyle) are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant had savory food, the pool is well kept and for social people, they have a DJ and a bar, but keep the party hours at a reasonable time to avoid noise and overdrinking. The lobby and rooms all smell good. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The location is near Old Town so you can walk and enjoy some good places to eat or just wander. I can't say enough about the great hotel experiences I've had there.

Pristine property!

The things I liked about the hotel: clean and spacious room, cabana king room so it had a patio with lounge chairs and table. Great location. Thing that I didn’t like about the hotel: after hours of the dj at the pool with really loud music, which normally I love, there was nowhere to escape the music because our room was next to the pool so it was just as loud in our room. After a long day gone hiking and things just wanted to go to bed, yes it was 9ish, but was exhausted. Music playing in the restaurant but speakers outside for patio people. Which I could hear in my room. I don’t know if this stuff goes on every weekend or because it was a holiday??

We always love our stays at HVH. The property is beautiful, the staff is incredible and the rooms are clean, modern and perfect. I've stayed here 5 times and every time I know just how sad I will be when I leave.

We loved our stay from the moment we checked in. Our room was immaculate and spacious with a great view of the main pool. Hidden away is another pool that was quiet and relaxing. Food at Zuzu was fantastic and service was great! Hotel was in walking distance to restaurants, shopping and art galleries. Lovely upscale experience and cant wait to stay again.

The hotel is solid but didn’t meet our expectations. Upon trying to check in past 4pm the room wasn’t ready for one of our travelling parties (check out is 10am), the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly (for any of our travelling parties) and the rooms have no fridge to keep things cold (this is Scottsdale, it’s hot). The pool area is very nice and the room decor is well done.

The location in Scottsdale. Walk to cafes and restaurants. Large comfortable bed, lots of hot water. Good sized room. There are two pools - one with music and bar service and one quiet pool. It’s a party place for celebrations and you have to pay for the cabanas and comfy loungers by the pool. Even to sit in the Adirondack chairs!

Grounds and room were perfect for relaxing, we loved the outdoor patio space. Gym was clean and well maintained. Staff was cheerful and always helpful. Love that the bar also had lattes etc (for purchase) on property.

It is a very unique hotel. Fun place. Having a fridge that's actually cold and a microwave would be great for all these overpriced food we had leftover. The double beds were horrible to share... I did not get the room I signed up for. We were over the kitchen and it smelled like food and te view was ugly. The pool was great until Saturday when they treated us like criminals after we had been there and stayed after checkout to enjoy it... a ritzy hotel like valley ho should never subject their paying guests to being paper braceleted to enter the pool they paid for...and the drink situation... no, staff was great...I recommend it Monday thru Friday but not on Saturday with the pool fiasco.

Hot tub wasn't as hot as I would have liked everything else was fantastic.

This is the place to stay when you’re in Scottsdale. Beautifully restored mid-century Hotel… You’ll feel like Don Draper when you walk in here. Everything is top-notch rooms are well appointed and newly remodeled. The staff is welcoming and genuinely friendly. The restaurant is amazing… Great breakfasts, great dinners. Wonderful pools. What’s not to like?

The onsite Zuzu bar and restaurant was perfect. Excellent food and a excelent bar.

I also enjoyed the pool and the onsite restaurant, ZuZu. Even though the pool was crowded on Saturday, there were plenty of towels, available chairs, and attentive servers. I ate at ZuZu several times during my stay and consistently had great service and good food. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to walk or take a quick ride to Old Town Scottsdale, Scottsdale Fashion Square, the Waterfront, and other nearby attractions. Highly recommend.

1st time staying at the Valley Ho and we plan to return for a girls trip in the summer. The area is nice, clean and has great amenities. Open, large balcony, two pools, and walking distance to shopping. Breakfast was flavorful with wonderful outdoor choice seating. Only concern was the room had a "plug-in" air freshener that was extremely over powering.

Returned to this hotel after 14 years, and it has only gotten better. Stopped on our way from Coachella with our daughter. Celebrated at ZuZu for dinner and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean and they have updated them since our last stay. Pool is still so much fun! It's such a great stay in Scottsdale!

The rooms are spotless, and the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. The food and drinks at the bar were excellent, and a big thank you to Verg, Andy 1, Andy 2, and Sam for the outstanding service. The team here truly makes the experience—we’ll definitely be back next year.

I’ve been staying regularly at this hotel for 20 years, which makes me feel pretty old, but the hotel manages to always feel fresh and new. I love it so much. Rooms are gorgeous, always clean, and designed for actual humans with luggage to comfortably exist for several nights. This is my go to hotel for the cooler months in the Phoenix area!

This is our go to spot. We don’t go anywhere else. What’s to like? Everything! And the location is perfect.

Would definitely recommend and consider staying here again. Only issue was we can’t find a hiking knife we left in the jeep when we valeted car. We knew exactly where we put it. And the next day it was gone from the console. Disappointing end to the trip, it was a gift.

This was a central location and reminded me of mid-century design. Very quiet and the resturant was good except for the slight delays in getting your meal. We had a room by the pool and it was great.

Always a lovely time at the valley ho! our second stay in a tower room and was beautiful, clean and peaceful. The jumbo tub is a nice bonus.

This hotel is top notch, a hidden gem. The property is one of the best maintained that I've stayed at. And Alex at the pool, is outstanding. He is kind, funny and his energy is hard to match. There is so much to do within one mile - shopping, food, drinks! Can't wait to visit again!

Staff was fantastic in all areas; desk, restaurant, bar, pool. All very friendly and helpful. Room was great. We were upgraded to a suite and it was huge. Very clean and comfortable. The entire hotel and grounds were very clean and very well maintained. Pool and poolside area was spotless and well staffed. Only suggestion would be for a spot to grab a quick coffee rather than just a sit down restaurant (but the restaurant is fantastic!). Overall a great stay that we would go back to!

Weird hotel. Hard to explain but wouldn't stay again. Nice patios but if you have loud neighbors, not good. And everytime someone opens or closes the smaller pool gates, which is constant, also noisy. The inside felt like a cruiseship casino. Dark and obnoxious decorating. Many better options. Also about a 12-15 minute walk from anything in Old Town.

The zuzu menu was immaculate.10/10 on every dish.The drinks at both the pool and zuzu also were great. They offered me suggestions and were spit on each time.The cleaning staff came in daily and turned the bed and gave fresh towels I was appreciative.Thanks for such an amazing experience.

we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed walking around. 10 minute walk to shops and 20 minute walk to the fashion mall. Our daughter, 12 enjoyed staying by the pool and listening to music. Pool staff were attentive.

Very impressed with our stay. 2 adults on a warm getaway and this hotel had everything we needed. Fully stocked mini fridge, great bar service at the pool and very clean everywhere we went. The staff were fantastic all across the property. Great location as well, very quiet at night.

Beautiful, spacious room and a large, killer balcony with comfortable lounge chairs. Loved the old Hollywood, retro vibe of the building and grounds. I only wish we could have stayed longer to have enjoyed all of the amenities. If I ever come back to Scottsdale I will definitely stay here again!

Amazing bar and kitchen. The food was absolutely incredible and we had great service. Great valet and overall service. Nice pool area. Didn’t love the small queen beds, bathroom lights that woke you up if someone had to use the restroom in the middle of the night, or the amount of sound you could hear from our room (would recommend not staying right next to the pool). Overall, really nice stay. Will visit again!

This is by far the best hotel in Scottsdale. So much character, kidney shaped pool, bath tubs in the middle of the room, abundance of chairs, solid restaurant, and an overall hetty vibe. Lucas at the front desk is The Man.

A/C was extremely underwhelming for a 90 degree day in AZ. Turned it all the way to 62 at night and it didn’t seem to cool anywhere near that temp. Drain in shower is very slow. Hot tub was closed.

Overall, the staff was amazing. However there was an incident regarding the pool Gabanna I was quoted $100 and when I received my bill, it was 199. They proceeded to bring over security guard and humiliate me. I agreed to pay for everything I ordered, which is reasonable, but there is no way I was going to pay for a cabana that they doubled the charge after that they asked me to leave the hotel so I did not even get to finish my cabana which I paid for. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be blasting this on every trip advisory and social media.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! The staff, especially RJ at the front desk, was so welcoming and accommodating, the room was spacious and well appointed, and the amenities were great. I’d definitely stay here again!

I was floored by just how cool the hotel was, the delightful customer service (welcome drink coupon), and how easy they made every step of the way - from the valet to carrying bags up stairs for us.

Property was clean, staff was helpful, but i was shocked this hotel had a 9+ star rating. It's a funky, boutique vibe but I wouldn't say its a 9 rating as there was nothing special or premium about it, in my opinion. Felt like an Ikea showroom.

Kyle and the staff are amazing and they always go above and beyond to make their hotel guests feel extra special! My room was fantastic and it overlooked the pool. Being able to use the pool, fitness room and spa services is an added bonus! The restaurant is also a blast and I’d highly recommend sitting outdoors and the fun bar. I do feel the Valley Ho had a unique property and I hope I can return for a stay there again next winter. Everything is super walkable and Old Town is a hop-skip-jump away!

This property is amazing. The rooms are spacious —our room was a king in building four on the ground, the patio was large, two cushioned loungers, two patio chairs with built in side table for drinks and a cafe table for two. House keeping does a phenomenal job the rooms are spotless on arrival and daily care shoes pride in work and attention to detail. Our restaurant experience was okay—there are so many great places to eat in Scottsdale and many within a short walk of the Valley Ho it is hard to justify the prices for a “convenient restaurant” —($23 burger) when a short stroll gives you a plethora of competitively priced (or better) options. The grounds are meticulously maintained. Highly recommend this property for location and exceptional overall experience! I see why people return regularly!!

I’ve stayed at your property before. Zuzu is still fab and location is great. I was disappointed that I never got the $20 food credit I was told at checkin I would receive if I used the restaurant. I’ve emailed twice about this and no one responded. Aside from that the room was good. The A/C is not working properly as it would come on for 50-60 seconds, turn off for 30 secs and repeat cycle. Made it hard to sleep with the constant noise but we managed.

The staff was great!! The ZUZU burger was a shining star also. We enjoyed the room decorations but if your short the tub will absolutely swallow you 😜! My only complaint would be the silverware my wife and I try to be conscious of what we put in our mouths and the dak color on the silverware makes them looks well used and we didn't like using them otherwise we enjoyed the hotel enough to make it an official staykay destination ✌

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that the toaster and the waffle machine are very old and extremely slow. It takes too long to prepare the food and it’s quite inconvenient. I kindly ask if they can be repaired or replaced. Thank you.

Iconic Scottsdale hotel doesn’t disappoint. Nicely decorated for the holidays, with an outdoor roller rink with a fun North Pole theme. Spacious, updated, well-appointed rooms with nice amenities and a sunny balcony overlooking the front lawn. The onsite dining facilities were appreciated on Christmas Day when many restaurants were closed or fully booked. Staff was friendly and readily available. Big perk was no resort fee, decent fitness room and complimentary bottled water whenever we requested it.

The rooms are lovely. The landscaping beautiful. Restaurant Zuzu is great. Hot tub not hot and not appealing. Lap pool wasn’t heated enough. But the Smart TV/streaming situation was TERRIBLE! Only very basic cable. Google connecter to apps never worked (two techs came out to try and fix and couldn’t). We bought a Firestick and that didn’t work well because the internet was so weak. Do not think you’ll see your sports or your favorite series.

We enjoyed a drink at the bar on check in. Only complaint was there was a wedding going on so all the guests were at the bar getting drinks. They seemed to take priority as we waited about 15 min. Just some good honest feedback. Would ABSOLUTELY stay again and planning on it. Loved it!

It would have been excellent if they hadn't allowed pets. A dog in the room next door whined for 3 hours while I was trying to rest. The hotel finally was able to find the dog owners and stop the noise, but what about just not allowing dogs. I'm a dog owner, but I don't want to sleep in a hotel room where other people's dogs have stayed.

We loved our stay! We wish we would have gotten the suite we thought we booked, also we were unaware of one of the pools being shut down for the holiday - but overall we had an amazing time! The staff is so friendly and all smiles.

I love this place. Such a great 1950's Palm Desert vibe with spotless upgrades. This was my second stay at the Ho, and the holiday spirit was beautiful. Very bustling lobby and bar with a nice roaring fire. One little nit is the service at the bar. Noticed this during both stays. It seems to take the bartenders 5+ minutes to even say hello. They seem busy so perhaps the restaurant floor is flooding the bar with orders, but I think a key hospitality point is being missed.

Overall good place to stay but rooms are dated compared to others in a similar price range.

The Valley Ho staff is very friendly and the place is relaxed an festive... and the hotel is centrally located to all of Old Town Scottsdale. Zuzu Restarant in the hotel is a great hangout. One area that is not an option is the outdoor pool in not heated - so during the winter the pool is sometimes closed or you'll have to swim in cold water. The good news is the jacuzzis are heated. Great all round place...

The hotel staff was superb. I interacted with many of these folks, and every single staff member went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Even if I had criticisms of the hotel (I don’t), I would return due to the staff.

Easy to navigate, super quick check in, great staff. Ran into a little snafu at the restaurant when we placed an order after a large table and ran into a delay so that was frustrating because nothing was communicated until we asked. Aside from that great rooms and a perfect stop between Mexico and LA.

The architecture of the hotel is great, mid-century modern, with an old Scottsdale feel. The main pool and hot tub were easily accessible and opened until 10 pm. Our room was upgraded to the tower and we had a phenomenal view of the pool and city. Also, the location was fabulous, on the edge of old town and the art district and canal, and we could walk everywhere. Nothing.

We were traveling with a 4 month old so the use of the bathtub was important to us. On a daily basis it would back up with someone else’s dirty water. We made mention of it every day yet it was never fixed

Good overall stay. Cleaning staff didn’t show up one day. Water was turned off for a couple hours without notice

Staff was excellent and the pool atmosphere was fabulous!

We had a clean room on the first floor with easy access to the pool and restaurant area.The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable.

The property and restaurant were amazing! They completely catered to our bridal dinner and festivities. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Good and music were wonderful.

This place was really wonderful! We stayed in the Tower Suite... it was extraordinary! The staff were fun, friendly, & helpful. The bar area is vibin', the pool is cool, & all within walking distance from 5th Street, more food & great shopping in Scottsdale. Highly Recommend!

Great hotel! In the heart of old town Scottsdale. Friendly staff, hotel and rooms are kept clean.

Overall, I love this place! I didn't realize there would be a DJ at the pool all afternoon (on a Saturday) when I wanted to just relax - so that to me was frustrating because I couldn't lounge & read; but everyone (younger crowd) was enjoying it. Night-time definitely need more path lighting & directional signs to the outdoor units. I got completely lost getting back to my room after dark; thankfully its not overly huge, but just really dark!! Also, maybe post small signs on exterior doors reminding other guests about quiet hours after a certain time. I was woken up several times by boisterous hallway noise from late night guests coming & going. I sound like an old f*rt, but just hoping these suggestions will help future guests. I would 100% stay here again. The spa is amazing!

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were all professional and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the live music in the dining area in the evening.

I put average for the condition just because it is older and you can tell that with some of the things. It was a fabulous stay! The spa is amazing! The staff was amazing ( besides the last guy getting our car who couldn’t find it)! I stayed in the tower right outside the pool and it was great cause I could sit on my patio and listen to the music and relax which was exactly what I needed!!! Thank you Valley Ho for having I will be back for sure if for nothing else at least to see Kristen for another facial!!!💜

Great room size & fun pool!

The staff here is so friendly and helpful. We loved the large swimming pool and the DJ was excellent. Everyone at the oool seemed to be having a great time. The restaurant, “Zulu” is so good, we ate dinner there twice and had a delicious breakfast. We took advantage of the complimentary drinks and $20 credit from Expedia VIP. We brought our kitty too for no extra charge. Kitty relaxed too.

Staff is all caring & helpful. The location of our room was very quiet. Room was newly remodeled.

Unfortunately pool area played loud club music, we would of loved to have hung out there and purchase drinks but the music drove us to the lap pool area

You can stay at a place that is like every other hotel chain around the country or you can stay at the Valley Ho. It is different in a good and fun way.

The ambience in the room is always so inviting and fresh.

It would have been nice to have other room option that would have provided a more relaxing experience We were not even notified about this Also the bath tub curtains were not installed and so the tub was in the middle of the room with no privacy We were expecting a more overall classy experience

They were renovating our building during our stay, putting in baseboards, fresh carpet had been recently laid - staff who were working were respectful and kind. They never made excessive noise.

Everything about our stay was top-notch. From the valets to the pool attendant, from the front desk to the bartenders, the service was all you can ask for and helped make our stay a memorable one. We're looking forward to our next visit! Many thanks

This property is incredible at the very least. From the valets who are there for your comfort, to the countless amenities availability at this hotel. I would recommend this property to anyone, and would definitely stay here again.

Nothing VIP about this hotel. Upgraded to a higher floor but only had 2 floors. Pretty disappointing. Would not stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Valley Ho for a quick three night getaway and had a fantastic experience. We paid a little extra for a bigger room with a view and it was worth it. The pool was perfect, the food and drinks were delicious, and the hotel staff were attentive, friendly, and polite. We also walked several times to Old Town Scottsdale, which took only about 5 minutes, for food and shopping. Would definitely come back to this property!

Loved the location, close to downtown Scottsdale, property was beautiful and room was wonderful as well. The staffing was great and the valet parking staff were awesome!!! Always helping with luggage and shutting our car doors. I will definitely be staying here again when I return.

Beautiful Frank Loyd Wright style design around the property. We were upgraded to a suite since the hotel is not busy this weekend. Beautiful room. Clean, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Pool is a fun vibe. Close to everything in Scottsdale.
