Embassy Suites by Hilton Scottsdale Resort

Breakfast great, very clean rooms and everything expected of an Embassy suite was there for us. Only thing bothersome was the noise of the air conditioning while we were sleeping, but room was cool even in 100 degree temperatures!

Been coming here for about 20 years. We love this place it’s gotten back to the old Chapperal Days! almost!

Will forever be a fan of Embassy suites - the value for the stay always exceeds expectations. From the cocktail reception to the cook to order breakfast, it is always more than just the room. We are busy professionals with demanding day jobs as well as our own business so the suites meet our needs perfectly with the living room/bedroom spaces offering separation for each of us to do what needs to be done to keep business running and yet still enjoy vacation time. Beds are wonderfully comfortable both in terms of mattresses and linens/pillows. The Scottsdale property specifically could use some work around the property with what is only to be expected maintenance however, as a whole the property is very clean and well-maintained. Staff is attentive and friendly - will definitely never hesitate to stay again or recommend to others.

Tired property. Clearly they run massive groups and conventions through. There are smaller, more upkept properties in Scottsdale for similar prices.

The product provided was first class. The rooms, workout facilities, easy parking breakfast and happy hour are far and above everywhere else. I have had multiple stays here and will stay here again. Embassy suites never disappoints.

Wow! What a lovely resort. Breakfast was amazing, our room was very clean. Our check in was wonderful. Our check out could use some work. He sat on his butt and didn't ask us how our stay was. Wasn't friendly at all. Maybe reassign him to cleaning the pool area. We had a great time, we weren't in the room as much but everyday the room was getting hotter. It got up to 75 and the air wasn't circulating. We didn't mention it to the staff because while we were comfortable, we didn't feel like moving rooms as we didn't pack lightly. This will be our family spot from now on! Despite the a/c not working, we loved our stay!

All of them The pull out bed was not useable. I was not able to have my nephew over as planned because the bed was all springs and painful it was the entire purpose of the trip

Everyone from the workers to the people that stayed there where very friendly, the breakfast buffet was really good and food doesn’t run out to fast, their fast with filling the entrées when needed, the alcoholic slushie outside at the bar where very tasty, the best! definitely 5 stars all around.

What we found here, at the price, could not be found anywhere else. Simply wonderful on all points and will stay again. Highly recommended.

Location is excellent. I have stayed here many times and will definitely stay again. All of the rooms are Much larger than average rooms with a separate living room.

We had a wonderful time! The staff was excellent, breakfast was delicious, pool was warm and kept clean, room was meticulous! This is our second time staying here and we will definitely be back!

The pool area was clean, relaxing, and fun. Let's not forget Happy Hour! Great ambiance and there was also a cheese and salad bar to go along with our drinks. We will definitely stay here again!!

This is my third time staying at this property and we love it. The free breakfast is great. The evening reception a nice added bonus with free snacks and cocktails. Margaritas at the cabana bar by the pool were 10/10. We ordered burgers/fries and hummus plate, poolside. Both pools are wonderful. The staff is amazing and rooms are clean and comfortable. Traveled with my kids (4&7) and they had a blast.

We only stayed for 1 night. When we arrived we were greeted and given 2 goodie bags with our room keys. The room was clean and spacious. The only negative would be the water pressure was weak. The breakfast was very good and once again we were met with a friendly employee as we checked out. The location is excellent for town square and camelback mountain.

Our room was honestly never cleaned the entire time we were there and we were never brought towels or toilet paper or anything else. The bar staff seemed very overworked and it was often hard to get a drink. The breakfast was good, and the fitness center was great, and even though they said the pool was heated, it clearly did not have a heater.

This is an older property and if you look closely, you can see small signs of age. However, they have done a great job in every way to make guests feel welcome, comfortable and cared for. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful and friendly. Our room was cleaned and re-set every day of our stay. Breakfast was hot and there were plenty of choices. The pool area was beautiful. My daughter and I both loved it and we would absolutely choose it again next time.

Overall good stay. Clean. Refrigerator didn’t work and the toilet needed to be mounted properly.

The rooms were dark and musty smelling. When asked the front staff about the smell they said they would come change an air filter. The safe was broken, asked again about it and if we could change room. They insisted new batteries would fix this and it did not. The room was moderately clean but dirt in corners and hair next to couch. The pools were both cold. Missing tiles and chunks of concrete missing around the one with the hot tub. Never enough towels. Not enough lounge chairs around for the pool for the amount of people. The breakfast was great but again the space is too small for the size of the hotel. Very crowded and not enough tables to sit. Lacking general upkeep and tidying during the day. Plates outside doors all day and next to ice makers. Location was great but will not be staying here again.

Fantastic location and the complementary breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. The room was super clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Housekeeping was horrible. When an article of clothing went missing I tracked down the head of housekeeping. The cleaning person acknowledged putting my child’s red bathing suit into the commercial laundry machine amongst white towels…. Soiled pool towels were regularly seen on the floor of walkways and outside of the pool area. When more towels were needed at the pool, it took two trips to the front desk and a mention from a wandering staff member to finally get pool towels. The fruit enhanced water dispenser in the lobby was a nice touch. If only a staff member could bother putting more water in it when it had run out. Property could greatly benefit from someone fixing minor things like doors, lights out on the buttons in the elevator, minor paint issues…. Overall, no one seems to take pride in the property. Maintenance and cleaning staff need additional training and a little tlc here would go a long way. When posted rates exceed $300/night, this property feels more like a sub $200/night, hotel.

Hotel was old, tired and needs a good pressure washing. Pictures of the hotel must be old.

The room was clean but could use updating. Our bathroom door didn’t open and close properly. The a/c vent by the bathroom dripped water and made the floor wet and it smelled pretty musty. The refrigerator also didn’t work well at all and barely kept our water cold. Wish the room was a little over for the price paid.

We went to to enjoy Scottsdale for a week. When we arrived we found the hotel and our room to be very clean, in good condition and nicely updated for the price. The pools and exercise facilities were great to use and enjoy. The choices and quality of breakfast included was good. The service and help we received from all of the staff was excellent. The people behind the front desk, the bar tenders, maintenance and housekeeping personnel, were all very helpful and courteous.

Our room was very outdated with lots of mold in the bathroom. I love the Embassy but I will not be returning to this location

the bed frame in the presidential unit was broken! we had to sleep slanted all night. a very poor mattress that needs to be changed to a new mattress. I would never want to stay there agin.

Overall had an Ok stay however the room smelled like smoke and they were full so unable to change rooms, they sent someone to spray something but didn’t make a difference. They provided a discount of about 10 percent that I has to ask for multiple times until they provided it. Ac unit is very loud. Other than those 2 things, the rest was good, friendly staff

Let me tell you about the complimentary breakfast! It was a beautiful spread with all the normal breakfast choices and then some. I had dinner in the same place and it was delicious. I’ll be returning again for another event and will look forward to it.

I love the to-order omelette station, and the variety of breakfast items available. We've stayed twice in the last month and the dinner menu is nice as well. Staff are friendly and helpful, we were able to get adjoining rooms for our party, and the rooms were clean and nicely appointed.

But hotel needs major improvements. Starting with the pull-out couch mattress. It was just a box of springs kept together by fabric. No foam or cushion of any kind. Unusable. And there was an awful moldy/old/dank smell in the room. And be ware, the double beds is ok for 2 kids or very small adults but not 2 regula size adults.

It was a perfect stay to ending our girls trip. The breakfast was beyond amazing! We all said too bad we couldn't have stayed 2 nights to enjoy more of the pools etc. If ever in the area again we would easily say yes to staying here again. The only thing we found "odd" was the bathroom door. For a bit more privacy an actual door instead of farm door style would be better.

While Embassy Suites Scottsdale offers reasonable rates for families with children, our recent stay was marred by a dangerous electrical issue and shockingly poor service response. The day before checkout, we noticed a buzzing sound coming from a light switch. After calling the front desk, it took over an hour for maintenance to arrive. The technician worked on the issue, and we assumed it was resolved. That evening, the buzzing returned - this time accompanied by smoke coming from the light switch. This was clearly a serious fire hazard. When we contacted reception again, they promised to send someone immediately. A maintenance person did arrive, but incredibly, told us they had "something else to do" and left without addressing the problem. No one ever returned. We didn't escalate further only because we found a workaround and were checking out the following morning, but this experience was deeply concerning. A smoking electrical light switch is a legitimate emergency that could endanger guests, yet the hotel's response was dismissive and negligent. **Positives:** Reasonably priced for families, suitable for kids **Negatives:** Visible wear and tear in amenities, rude and indifferent service when issues arise I cannot recommend this hotel when guest safety is clearly not a priority.

Amazing breakfast. Staff was very nice, however I would like to improve the charges it appears on clients’ statement. I was charged $4 in the middle of the night for example. Otherwise, perfect place ! They have delicious afternoon snacks and drinks included in the price

We had a lot of issues with this place. But on the positive the Rooms were nice, staff was friendly and accommodating especially bar staff. I was disappointed that they did nothing for the Christmas holiday besides music and some flowers.

My room was not cleaned one of on Monday. I had to fine clean towels and I took out the trash in our room. The chair in the bedroom was soiled. I felt uncomfortable using it.

The location is one of the best in Scottsdale. The staff is friendly and genuinely offers service with a smile- Marcella at the Front Desk, Cornelius in Azul Clubhouse, Brenda Lopez in housekeeping are an asset to the property. The breakfast has ample choices and the evening reception is an excellent place to have a few drinks which are on the house and interact with other guests. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Fashion Square and the eateries/shopping around old Scottsdale. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious although bedrooms and bathrooms are dated to the point they could be a deal breaker for some.

The food at the restaurant was fabulous. The bartender was so personable! The folks at the front desk were accommodating and friendly. The property is huge.. all outdoor access. Heated pools, decent fitness center. The rooms were laid out nice and suitable... Not the best rooms but adequate. Worth the rate we paid!

I was on the 4th floors on the East quad. Different elevators took turns being under maintenance in my area. So I would have to walk between areas to see what was working. They were marked as under maintenance. Broadly, it is a good place w good food and service.

The shower had great water pressure and nice hot water, so I appreciate that. Every staff member I encountered was polite - not necessarily warm and friendly - but polite. My favorite part of staying here was having a bike available to use. I was delighted that the seat height was adjustable! CONS: This was a super noisy resort - music blasting around both pools nonstop. I was hoping to relax by the pool and ended up having to wear earplugs just to find some peace and quiet. The room was also in need of a refresh. The carpet was frayed, the coffee maker didn't work and I had to call twice to request a replacement. The room was in need of a good cleaning. The floors around the bed had been vacuumed with a floor vacuum but the corners and behind the nighstands and beds were gross.

Staff were great, though not a lot of recommendations though, of things to do etc at front desk. Only used shuttle once, the driver was having a very bad day and was pretty vocal about it, a bit uncomfortable. The pull out couch was 1000% metal springs, the entire thing, I think it was maybe original to the hotel, definitely needs to be replaced. Breakfast was AMAZING, happy hour was great too, restaurant food was also excellent! Pool was super clean, not too busy and great music! I would come back, if I could be guaranteed the mattress on the pullout couch was new!

The whole staff from check in to check out were very nice and helpful cleaning staff was very good,bartenders,wait staff. I would have to say our girls trip was superb

The room we were given was VERY dank and dirty, missing the phone, and the stopper in the bathtub. My kids had black feet from walking around. We would still return but would make sure our room was clean before settling in.

Great location just north of Old Town Scottsdale. We were able to walk to dinner a few times. The pools were nice, though one had a strange smell. Plenty of loungers available at any time. Breakfast and evening social were nice. We used the tennis court, but it's in pretty bad shape. Rooms were nice and spacious and the bed was comfy. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Cons: The room had dated furniture, some of which was falling apart when I inadvertently looked underneath a chair to get something I dropped. The rooms could have been cleaned better. Breakfast had barely any vegan options other than potatoes. Some of the fresh fruit was a bit frozen. The Happy hour snacks were chex mix and goldfishes which seemed very low budget.

We did have some issues during our stay but, the management was very apologetic and took care of us so that was appreciated. The rooms here are ok, maybe a bit tired, needing a makeover but, they are spacious. The included daily breakfast was top notch and the staff were great. Pool area is nice. It can be noisy as the property is located on a very busy street. It is very close to shopping and restaurants.

The only downgrade I have to say is that the water pressure on Monday was non existent. It was literally a trickle from all faucets. I had to give myself a wh*re bath. The other days, there was water pressure, but super weak. Other than that, I would definitely return.

Room smelled musty. Low battery in the smoke alarm triggered it to go off at 1:00am. At check-out, despite the room already having been paid for, front desk charged me a second time. Unfortunately the front desk staff doesn't have the ability to problem solve issues the hotel creates. Had to work thru Expedia to correct the the problem they created. Purchased a soda at the gift shop and at check out, the hotel charged me a $25 resort fee.

Loved the room with suite arrangement. Mini kitchen was awesome. Separate bedroom makes it nice. Front desk people were exceptional.

Quiet and clean

Bath tub didn’t drain. Ice machine on our floor didn’t work. The keys to room suddenly stopped working, so had to have them rekeyed. The washing machine and dryers wouldn’t connect to credit card so it looked like it took payment but machines wouldn’t start. On the positive side, the rooms are a good size.

Room was clean but showed age, we were in the main complex. Pools good, breakfast iswas as expected. No issues. Couldnt use the living room tv for fire stick, only worked in bedroom. Technology could use updating.

Room was nice and clean upon arrival. The front room AC would not turn on but maintenance came up and got it to work. Convenient location.

Overall im usually always happy with embassy suites. I always call ahead of time to also ask some specific questions. Some important things for me is knowing if the pool is open or down for any reason, if there is any construction in or around the facility, if everything is working, and some other financial questions. With that, i called ahead to ask these questions and was told everything was working, open and no construction. When i arrived the elevator closest to my room was not working, and we had a bunch of luggage with us from traveling. Thankfully it was only one level up. Other than this issue everything else was good. The included breakfast is always nice.

BUT the bed was comfortable, the property was clean, the breakfast was delicious and always hot and fresh, and the staff was really nice, ESPECIALLY the shuttle driver Mr. Kevin! We would definitely stay again.

Everything was good

If you aren’t renting a car or wanting to uber, you’ll definitely need to be okay with lots of walking. Overall, I’d say this resort was worth the price and we would come stay here again if we come back!

The suite we stayed in was lovely. But the maid had pointed the shower nozzle so that when my girlfriend took her shower, water ran onto the floor. The bed and pillows were AMAZING! Breakfast was great. But dinner was substandard, and the waiter's communication skills were substandard.

Breakfast is delicious, but skip the salads at the Azul restaurant. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel did not appear to be well maintained. My room had broken lamps, tvs, phone would not connect to the restaurant or room service. No one answered the phone and the front desk and the staff were not very apologetic. Poor maintenance.

Maybe more updates change carpets in rooms dresh paint.

The hotel was nice and the location was perfect, close to shops and dining. The area was really safe.

First room had a terrible smell, they quickly changed is rooms 2nd room was a bit better. But in need of renovation.

I love how there was a living area,dining table, nice,spacious buffet place. But i hope they can improve the refrigerator in hotel room as it doesn’t get that cold and keep beverages that chilled.

Loved the property, the hotel is very cute. The happy hour and breakfast were great. Unfortunately the room had a terrible mold smell and the carpet was quite dirty. Staff said those were issues due to being close to the pool, I would return but ask for a room not near the pool entrance.

The bed mattresses are to soft

breakfast buffet did not look very appetizing. we opted for the a la carte instead. My wife ordered 2 eggs with bacon and hash browns, she requested the hash browns well done with onions, what she received was the hashbrowns from the buffet that were not well done no onions and with green peppers, Very disappointing, she sent the whole meal back. We never ate there again.

Breakfast was good, room was clean but smelled musty. Water pressure in shower was weak and outside elevator was extremely hot and slow. There were not enough stair locations to get to the additional floors and for emergency evecuation.

Great stay great a/c pool was amazing beds were a little to small will have to stay in one with bigger but other than that it was nice!

The evening reception treat was above and beyond. The bath tub was clogged during shower, the housekeeping should have done the washing of the tub and notice the drainage issue and reported before next customer comes in!

The hotel was advertised as having an EV charger but it didn’t and the front staff had this comment multiple times. I choose this hotel for the charger that didn’t exist. Very disappointed.

Our hotel room did not have working AC the first night! Literally, hot room in ARIZONA! And their solution was just a comp us the resort fee… a total joke!

Very old property and needs a ton of upgrades. Our room wreaked of smoke and the air conditioning unit leaked all over the floor, continually dripping from the ceiling. We had to use bath towels all over the floor to soak up the water leaking. It was a mess. With all of the hotel options in Scottsdale, we’d never stay here again.

Staff are wonderful, clean comfortable. The only thing is one pool could use a little tlc.

I don't like that the engineering team doesnt come in until 6am. I needed them when my kids locked me out the room and i couldnt get in because they were dead asleep. The spa in the pool stopped working as well and no one looked at it, even though i was told that security will give it a look to see if they could fix it.

Rooms are a little bit outdated , but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the fact that they have two pools one of them being 24 hours was cherry on top. We also use their fitness room and it’s great.

I have been to this property before, they did some upgrades to the pool area. They could probably upgrade the rooms and the elevators and the pool in the back of the property and could open the pool bars! Other than that, we had a great time!

Very nice but what Embassy Suites isn’t? Property is older so the parking is horrible but other than that this place is nice and a great value.

Our stay was amazing! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delish! I would recommend staying here!

and deep cleaning. The facility is over ran with pigeons and pigeon excrement. The elevators are old and rickety. The doors on the rooms have a large gap at the botton. We had to stuff towels underneath to prevent unwanted visitors. Based on what we saw in the rooms, we did not feel comfortable eating at the facility so, we did not take advantage of the breakfast or reception. Also had plumbing issues. This was simply not up to the Hilton and Embassy Suites standards I have come to expect. OAN , the staff was friendly and responsive.

The property is dated and can use some maintenance and renovation. The evening reception was terrible. Not much to munch on and the drinks were sub par. The hot tub lacked proper maintenance. Tiles were missing and not fixed. Elevators wer not working. Not much of a restaurant to speak of. You would need to go off property to eat a decent meal.

I had an itching spell, only at night, in the bed. The cleaning staff did change my sheet, but the itching continued. The shuttle was nice enough to take me to the pharmacy for cream. Kudos to Mr. Kevin!!!! The toilet was not clean with urine stains on the toilet bowl and after asking for it to be cleaned it finally was well into our 4th day. I was then charged for the room twice, but was quickly rectified by the manger Mr. Tyrell. Not a good experience, but made the most of it!! Now I have to call to get my 200 dollar fee back. :).

The room was hot, I had several mesquite bites although I was not out at night .

We paid for the king suite premium which is SUPPOSED to have snacks replenished daily and when we arrived there was nothing so we asked the front desk, they did bring it that day, but that was the ONLY day it was brought and we paid extra for that.

Great place to stay

My only dings on this hotel were not all the elevators were working (possible maintenance was happening) and due to the 115-120 degree heat the air conditioning didn’t cool adequately. Other than those, the hotel was great. Beautiful layout and rooms.

It was a quiet getaway while the grandparents watched the kids

The service was great, no complaints at all. The place is dated but the price is excellent, however the elevator wasn't working near my room so it was the stairs the first day but it was fixed eventually. The room was tidy but underneath the bathroom sink there was used toothpicks and hair in the tub. The AC was awful and made the room stuffy but again the house keeping was prompt and the front desk were professional.

Smells bad ( mold ) no A/C, and towels are smelling like bleach

I have neurophy on my feet. I don't wear socks and shoes much. on the 2nd. mid-day my wife noted my feet were blackened on the bottom's. the 3rd. day I wore socks. the next day my socks were pure black. then I realized the carpeting was very, very dirty. from then on I wore my shoes. when checking out, I showed the manager them. he was very sorry and knocked off the resort fee. we have stayed there dozen's of times over the last 15 years. well go again but request a clean floor.

staff kept walking into our rooms while we were sleeping, also loud speakers making repetitive bird sounds by the pool all day/night. LOVED the dining options and complementary happy hour, rooms were also amazing.

Toilet is leaking

The AC was out and the temp was over 100 those days, the bathroom door was broken and we had to move rooms at 2am because our room had roaches. The restaurant food in the club was very nasty and it made me sick. The hospitality was great and the pools were cleaner than the rooms.

Great staff and room, pools were nice as well but the A/C didn’t go below 78 and it was 100 Degrees outside.

A/C didn’t work properly the entire stay but actually went out the day of 6/13-6/14. Only offered reimbursement of resort fee. Which wasn’t sufficient.

The suite was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The carpet was a bit dirty and our feet were blackened after a few minutes of walking on it, so we would appreciate if the carpets were cleaned or shampooed more regularly, especially for families like ours travelling with younger children who like to play on the carpet

The pool was amazing! My kids loved this place! Breakfast was awesome! I loved housekeeping.

I loved how fast and efficient they were. This location is very close to many of the other cities in the area- definitely worth checking in to this hotel!

Easy access to site seeing area

We were so happy to see the maid service back in operation on a daily basis. They did a great job.

The good things about the hotel is that the beds were very comfortable, the swimming pool, reception hour, and the breakfast buffet were what made us forget about the problems and continue to stay at the location. But seriously, the hotel needs to be renovated to make it more comfortable.

Property had two pools which were open late. After a long day it’s nice to know that they have options to relax and unwind.

The resort fee was the most expensive I’ve ever paid. They say they have a free breakfast and a happy hour with wine and beer and snacks for free, but obviously that’s what you’re paying for in the resort fee. The resort itself was definitely not worth the amount of the resort fee. Nothing special at all. Definitely won’t be back.

I breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices. Room was clean and quiet. We stayed on a Saturday night with lots of activities going on. You wouldn’t know it once in the room.
