Reviews
The hotel has a beautiful property with nice pools and friendly staff. However, there are issues with room cleaning services and some guests have experienced problems with the air conditioning and shower. Additionally, some guests have reported that the hotel is showing its age and could use an update.

Great place to stay central located to most places. Some construction updating property but it didn't effect us manager was great. Only complaint some rooms are very far away, only 2 stories, elevators are only at one end. You still need to walk a ways to restaurant etc. Very nice staff. Some resort fees wecwere not aware of because we booked on 3rd party website Expedia and they were not mentioned. So ask!
- 5/5
This is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms and grounds are beautiful and the pools are magnificent.
- 3/5
The pool was nice and the lounge area near coffee shop. Other than that, the property needs renovation. The grounds, the elevators and the rooms were not worth the price I paid for 2 nights. The food was mediocre at best and rooms were dirty and smelled of old. The beds were not comfortable. Will not go there again.

Nice but could’ve been better
- 5/5
Traveled solo and I felt safe and really enjoyed my stay. Everything was clean and the staff were nice and welcoming.I will say I didn’t realize how big the property was so be prepared to get your steps in. Overall nice visit.

We have stayed here a couple of times. We don’t live far. It’s a nice staycation when we need a night of relaxation away from home! I do have to say, this time there was a bit of a mosquito problem inside our room. We killed a few, but my son was bit a few times throughout. And, our tv kept freezing up in the middle of shows and we had to turn it on and off several times throughout the night. That was frustrating! Maybe they need a better internet service for the hotel. I have never stayed at a hotel where that has happened before. That was a little disappointing!
- 5/5
Pool was clean, plenty of room. Breakfast buffet very good
- 2/5
Hotel is in a great location and they will even provide transportation for you if you’re going to dinner nearby. We’ve stayed in the past and it was great, however, this time I felt like the rooms were really dirty. The first room had bugs in the bathroom and the second room had hair on the bed. The staff was helpful in fixing it but still felt like a very different experience than our previous stay.

First impression, the american lady in thefront desk is amazing, i will come back bcoz of her amazing customer service , smile at me and assisted me make me feel very welcome I dont like the carpet, the area has alot of grass and have access going to the room frim the parking and as oc i have an anxiety thinking about it, carpet is not clean, i checked in around 6pm,the bed looks ok but i see the floor is dirty, they didnt vacuum it, and from that moment i dont even want to step my feet on the floor and carpet, im traveling with my baby and he walks around, his feet is so dirty,.

I love this hotel!!
- 5/5
Had a very pleasant time.
- 3/5
Overall the stay was ok. Staff was great but the property itself was very much dated and not as clean as I expected. The pools were underwhelming. I was looking for a resort experience, but for the price I would, in the future, just invest in a higher-tier room at a cuter, boutique-style hotel.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel and great stay as always. I just wish the bathrooms got a bit more of a redecoration when the rooms got done but nothing to prevent me from coming here every time!
- 5/5
Very nice resort for a leisure weekend with a nice pool and good food!
- 4/5
We had no body lotion or Kleenex. We had to call several times to get our room cleaned and for extra towels.
- 4/5
the difference. The landscaping and the grounds around the property were not all that tidy. The stairs and the walkway to our room was unkept. The ice machine near our room was unavailable meaning a sign was present but there was no machine present with ice. Housekeeping could be better, they never mopped our floors. I found hair in our bathroom which was not ours. The bed was comfortable but the linen should be replaced and they should add a top sheet instead of using a covered previously used unwashed duvet. That was most bothersome. Hilton and their affiliates should all be held to the same level of excellence and that's not being done. However, the staff was most accommodating. I will probably not repeat this property for the third time in Arizona. I'm looking for better accommodations. Best regards, LaTonya Ingram

Swimming pool and breakfast. The design of the resort and rooms are old and many walls everywhere. swimming pools had few beds only not enough for people staying there not many activities.
- 3/5
Great location, a bit dated, the staff were very helpful in terms of free water and cookies! Overall a good resort and looks like they are upgrading parts of it so that should improve it.
- 2/5
The location of the hotel was good, close to old town Scottsdale. The staff placed us in a roof a half a mile from the restaurant? First they placed us in a room with a balcony and the screen door was off its guide. Then they placed us in another room which they say was an upgrade? There was no Microwave? We purchased the additional breakfast and found the choices to be good. The staff in the restaurant were very nice. We used the shuttle bus to get around and the drivers were very informative and helpful.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Pool was well kept and lots of chairs.

Our stay at the double tree resort in Scottsdale was great! The staff and amenities were on point made our stay exceptional. Definitely would recommend for a budget resort
- 5/5
Great location we loved the resort ..Front desk staff are super friendly and helpful 2 thumbs up.
- 4/5
Great property would advise staying here
- 3/5
Really friendly staff. Everything was smooth, requests were met. The place is a lite worn. Room towards pool was not a good idea since loud music (10-song play list on repeat) was blasting all day from 9 am to late afternoon. Forget about taking a nap, even with doors closed.
- 5/5
Bonus points for allowing us an early check in and for super friendly staff.

Great stay

Stay for my anniversary trip with 2 other couples! I have no complaints! Reasonable pricing! Great location! Friendly staff! Loved the resort campus! And the food was good!

Beautiful property with very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay as it was our second time here. Some things have chairs in breakfast is no longer included and you have to ask to have your room done instead of it being automatic. Overall it was a nice stay and property is very nice.
- 5/5
It was a very nice property would visit again.
- 5/5
Room was super clean- comfy bed and great size tv Pool was literally the best part of the hotel. Not super busy and super clean, great temperature and the hot tub was great! The sports area in the back was also really cool and a nice place to hang out.

I didn't like that our toilet wouldn't flush or barely then got stopped up. I didn't like that the rooms were dated. I didn't like that the elevator was not working.

Beautiful outdoor landscape
- 4/5
The property is beautiful. Housekeeping comes daily to clean and give you clean towels. They do have a restaurant and bar on the property, There’s a bar by the pool as well. The staff are nice and helpful. There is a shuttle that takes you anywhere in a 2 mile radius. Shockingly there are a lot of places in that 2 mile radius. I seen small bugs on the counter in the bathroom. That was my only concern. Everything else was great. I took my son for his 15th birthday, next time i go it will be with my S.O. It’s a beautiful hotel, it looks just like the photos.
- 4/5
We have been at this property many times but not since Covid so there were obvious differences in overall maintenance, ability to access amenities, etc
- 5/5
the bar area and the pools

The check in was fast and welcoming. I was greeted with a bottle of water and a cookie. Our stay was great. The pools were nice and the restaurant was good. They have a Starbucks my wife loved every morning.

Stayed there for a 2-night weekend during the month of May. Rooms are clean, the staff is exceptionally nice and the restaurant food was pretty good.
- 1/5
We stayed one night out of exhaustion and left immediately the next morning. The room was updated but done poorly and was filthy!
- 5/5
They had a complimentary shuttle bus that was great!! Warm cookies made!
- 3/5
Staff were nice enough. Restaurant inside had mid food. Tex Mex was bad enough. Pools were clean and plenty of chairs but they ran out of towels like all weekend. Pool bar closed early. Like 6 pm. Lame. Need more options. Gave us a decent room away from the lobby but very far distance from pool bar or alcohol or restaurants. Would not return.
- 5/5
No airport shuttle
- 5/5
Customer service was awesome. The resort was very nice and welcoming. No airport shuttle
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 4/5
The service is excellent, food was great, we appreciated the shuttle. The resort was clean and safe. The resort is older. The bath rooms need to be updated. The rooms are large. We enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
Grounds and pools well taken care of. Room could definitely have been cleaned better. Large dust clusters above the bathroom mirror. A previous spill on bed table not cleaned.Broken tile from wall layed on the floor. Not enough towels for a family of 4 Had to get our own from front desk. Had to call for more toilet paper. Other than that- the pool bartender made our stay more enjoyable.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed the game/hangout area that had the volleyball net and unique chairs. The pool was clean. The rooms were clean and plenty of space for everyone. The shower did fill up with water when showering. However, I am sure if reached out to the Hilton team they would have came by and fixed it. The other thing I would have liked to see in the room is a microwave.

The room was a nice size and I enjoyed having a patio where I could sit out back. But there were some shortcomings. First, there was a persistent smell in the room. The staff came and sprayed and made it better, but there was a large brown spot on the floor (and I think it had something to do with it). The property could also stand to be updated. But it seems they are working on it, as there was some construction taking place. The location was great and very convenient. So you can’t go wrong there.
- 5/5

We stayed in a suite that was straight from the 1980’s, plenty of room, nice location buy an odd interior layout. Staff was nice and breakfast a good choice. The Scottsdale Fashion Center was nearby and we made us of the hotel shuttle service.
- 4/5
Nothing
- 3/5
I’d rather keep it surface level and not say anything negative. Ok experience, but definitely could’ve been better.
- 5/5
Location. And service
- 1/5
Room carpets were dirty. For this price point, the room amenities and vibe was poor. I was expecting more for the price. I would say, overpriced for what you received. I also noticed that the out door dining and sitting areas had empty glasses and was not cleared away promptly.
- 4/5
The pool and the grounds were gorgeous! Loved the lay out of hotel and that it was only two floors. We stayed on the ground floor and had a tree shaded patio. This was one of our favorite parts. It was very quiet and we couldn't hear other quests. The only down side was our room had an odd smell that never really went away and the carpet and couch had stains. While the toilet, shower and counter/sink were clean the door had black smears on it and there were cobwebs or dust clumps where the wall meet the ceiling that appeared to have been collecting for a long time. It looked like no one had cleaned about waist counter level. The Starbucks was great and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was great really enjoyed it.
- 4/5
The pools are awesome, the grounds are beautiful. We had a rough start by being double booked in a room, which was taken care of by helpful staff. I had requested a balcony room overlooking the courtyard, which I did not get, but it turned out ok. There was a musty smell when entering the room but by that time, we just wanted to get settled. The staff was attentive to any concerns we had, and Matt checked in periodically to make sure we were ok. Missed having a spa onsite but otherwise enjoyed. I would rate it a 4. Location was good and the cleaning by staff was excellent.
- 5/5
The layout N/A
- 5/5
Great experience! Carmelo was always super attentive and friendly when we had breakfast in the property. I would definitely be back! This was everything that we needed and more!
- 5/5
For the most part everything was good, but there wasn’t any body wash inside the shower. We stayed here twice too. Different rooms. No body wash. Overall, not bad.
- 5/5
Excellent property.

Everything about our experience was wonderful. We loved the pool and lounge chairs nearby during the day. The atmosphere of a late dinner and drinks on the patio in the evening was sublime as well. I would highly recommend!
- 5/5
Unique architecture, large rooms with beamed ceilings, beautiful pools. Clean rooms and attentive staff
- 5/5
Beautiful place
- 5/5
We were really impressed with the services offered at the price that we paid. Even the kids in the pool were well behaved and not jumping around and yelling like maniacs.! the only thing was that the health and fitness room was under construction, so it was kind of modified into a previous souvenir shop, but I could see that was a temporary adjustment until they finished the new renovation. Everyone it was extremely accommodating, and the texting service was extremely responsive. When the microwave didn’t work. I texted and within a few minutes. A new one showed up at the door.
- 4/5
Resort was lovely but just got charged more than quoted for the room
- 5/5
Beautiful grounds
- 5/5
Food and accommodations were great!!! Staff was AWESOME!!
- 5/5
The grounds were beautiful, and lying around the pool in the warm weather was wonderful. The pool had great seating, fresh towels, and ice water available. The pool could have been cleaned better, but it was a wonderful way to spend time in Scottsdale. The room was wonderful. The bathroom was small, but the room was very clean and comfortable. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
- 5/5
Very nice pools , just not enough seating/chairs
- 5/5
This is our second stay here and it was just as nice. The property is in great condition and having our teenagers here allowed them to play on the ping pong tables along with the pools. We just find this place relaxing and fun, while also being beautiful allowing us to spend time outside comfortably (fire pits, outdoor games).
- 4.5/5
Pool areas and grounds are gorgeous. View from the room was beautiful. Staff were phenomenal. Location is fantastic! So close to everything you could want to do in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Breakfast was excellent - a wide variety of fresh and delicious choices.
- 5/5
I could not reccomend a resort more! I was a solo traveler and felt so safe and comfortable. The property was clean, well kept, and had so much to offer!
- 4/5
Need more lounge chairs, a small bar at the second pool, bathroom showers need an upgrade. Breakfast was a bit expensive
- 3/5
The bathroom was dirty especially the shower. You can tell it has been renovated, however, it has not been up kept. The cleaning ladies never cleaned my room or provided turn down service. They only knocked on my door to give clean towels. I really didn’t utilize the pool.

- 5/5
The restaurant was fantastic! Hospitality A+ Seriously more pool chairs! People were turning into scavengers.
- 1/5
Very outdated rooms and pictures are misleading. The lobby area is nice but nothing else. Stay somewhere else
- 5/5
Rooms were nice, grounds were well kept. Loved the size of the property..short walks to pool, office, restaurant/bar.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
This is a nice hotel with friendly staff, good amenities and nice pool views. It’s conveniently located near shops and restaurants.
- 1/5
There was a very large dead tree outside of our room door it should be cut down as it was extremely depressing. Horrible as it was hacked in half. There were cob webs in the upper corner of the bathroom and in the desert that is no joke. Big spiders and bugs! Probably coming from the tree.. The outdoor pools were without nice landscaping and had a look and sound of a community public pool. The adjacent bar at the pool was small and ticky tacky. Room was large and beds were comfortable and quiet. The patio also had a tree that looked pretty unhealthy in the heat. The restaurant was barren, without beer on tap and waited 20 minutes just to get someone’s attention. The location is too far from Old Town to walk. Not the ideal $300 a night hotel:/ very sad about this.
- 5/5
Our family has been staying here for over 10 years. It’s even better with the new renovations. The kids (14 years and 7 years) absolutely LOVE the pools! Very family friendly. We hate leaving this place. It’s our home away from home.
- 5/5
Nice, clean room, very modern. No pool towels at the end of the day.
- 5/5
The pool was very nice with mutiple seating options including cabanas and chairs. The pool bar was a plus. The breakfast was a buffet with lots of options and their mexican restaurant was good as well. The patio was spacious and was a nice addition.
- 5/5
Just so quiet and quant like a beautiful oasis tucked away somewhere Some things were a little dated but honestly made no impact on the experience
- 5/5
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location to old town. The only negative is the pool seating. You have to wake up early to claim a chair. They are all Gone by 9am.
- 3/5
Room not clean in fact i dont know what happened but I woke up with a cut on my arm..didnt think anything of it..went to the office. Came back to said room and saw blood near pillow on right side where arm was. I thought I was crazy but I swar it was a shard or piece of glass. Like somehow it ended up in the wash
- 5/5
Amazing resort! Will be back!
- 5/5
Awesome stay, everything 5 stars!
- 3/5
Our room looked like it needed a good carpet and furniture cleaning. The door looked like someone had broken in and some of the wood was missing. They may be renovating the property and just hadn't gotten to the area we were in. The gym was also in the middle of either being relocated or remodeled. Basics were there but would have expected a nicer fitness center for the property. The staff was wonderfully helpful and when we mentioned our room hadn't been cleaned, they offered free breakfast to us as a kind gesture. Great location, safe and lots of amenities.
- 2/5
Extremely slow!
- 5/5
What a beautiful place for our needed RNR (rest and relaxation). With the beautiful decor, calming effect of the scenery, the friendly and helpful staff our objectives were met. It was relaxing having our delicious breakfast on their patio where we could people watch and listen to the birds . We are looking forward to returning to our newly found get away, hopefully when we can stay longer.
- 2.5/5
Did not like the creatures crawling around the room.
- 5/5
Love the place surprised by a $30 a day fee
- 5/5
Very pretty and well maintained NA
- 5/5
We loved walking the path through the property each morning to get our coffee. Front desk staff were great!
- 3/5
Pool area was really only cleaned up once a day. Old towles piled up and any beverages that were deliverd/ left, sat around all day. The towles were not replaced during the day.
- 4/5
Good location and quiet Long walk to lobby
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
I loved this hotel! The staff was wonderful, the room was very spacious, grounds were beautiful and it was only a mile from old town with sidewalks all the way so easily walkable to early morning coffee or breakfast before the complimentary shuttle began its daily service.
- 4/5
Great location close to Old Town and fashion square, this isn’t a luxury property but it is a great family resort. Spacious rooms and good layout with the bathroom around a corner rather than opening right into the room. The housekeeping did a great job but seemed understaffed, several times they didn’t get to the room to clean until after 5:30 pm. The 2 pools were nice and great to have the pool bar available for food and drinks. We would stay again.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful during our stay and we were close to everything
- 5/5
Resort was beautiful but the room was a bit underwhelming.
- 5/5
The pool was amazing - used it every day. Great location - enjoyed staying on the property and venturing downtown to restaurants and shops. The staff was excellent - very friendly and helpful. nothing - we loved it.
- 4.5/5
Nice pool area and decent amenities. Room was comfortable including beds. Bathroom was kept clean and orderly by staff. Resort is conveniently located within the Scottsdale area. Nothing negative to comment on regarding this topic. Facility met expectations for short term stay in Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
- 1/5
This was ridiculous, the hotel had major construction the driveway was not accessible the stairway to the rooms was littered with debris there was no stairwell security lighting. Construction that started at 6 am with no notice. Horrible experience
- 4/5
Nice amenities. The pool area gets super crowded with people, placing towels on chairs in the early morning hours, so it’s almost impossible to get a lounge. But, it is a nice resort feel on the property. Rooms are spacious. Restaurant and Starbucks on site are convenient. There is also a shuttle that will take you to the main Old Town area of upscale shops, dining, etc.
- 5/5
Great location, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and very nice amenities. The restaurant offers very good choices of foid snd drinks.
- 5/5
The room is clean, the staff is polite, and there is a convenient shuttle service. Delicious cookies and water bottles are provided daily, and the location is very convenient.
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Parking is done won’t
- 5/5
We only stayed one night and therefore can’t review all the amenities.
- 5/5
We really enjoyed this property. It was beautiful, the 2 pools were used often, it was well taken care of and the food was good! It is a resort property where we enjoyed the comfy chairs by the fire tables and a drink from the bar. The only thing we were disappointed with was that the wi-fi was slow! We ended up using our data the whole time!
- 4/5
Pool was okay not too clean. Never had towels available, kept running out.
- 5/5
Staff was helpful, nice and attentive. Amenities were perfect for a relaxing fun weekend trip! Room was clean, quiet and perfect for our needs. We will be back!
- 2.5/5
The grounds were very pretty It was very run down. The bench on the second floor near the elevator needs to be replaced. The door to our room looked like it had been broken into. Wood was splintered. Our balcony had broken tortilla chips all over and water bottle caps. Wasn’t swept.
- 4/5
Amazing pool!
- 5/5
Pool was great. More lounge chairs are needed by pool. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was somewhat dated. Staff was very friendly and hospitable. It was nice to have a free shuttle available for up two miles. Really no complaints.
- 5/5
What a great hotel. Two good sized pools. Our room was huge. Good breakfast. Great location. Our patio door faced the parking lot.
- 3/5
Comfortable bed & good AC but overall room looks old & dated with some stains on chair.
- 4/5
Pool area and bar were great during a couple of hot days in March. Beds comfortable, room fairly clean, and patio off the first floor. Close to dining and night life in Scottsdale. Shuttle was convenient as well when you didn't want to drive.
- 2/5
filthy. Always stood up while waiting for an uber. Our bed sheets had makeup on the pillow case . Good luck getting them to answer the phone. This resort for the money was just okay if that.
- 3/5
The grounds and pools were amazing. They could use more help at the pool bar to take orders for food and drinks at the pool rather than having to go up there to order. The biggest complaint was housekeeping. Not enough help there either. It would take the housekeeper until very late afternoon to get too our room...after we already needed towels, etc.
- 2/5
When I arrived, my room had trash in the fridge, which smelled badly. There were a lot of gnats and bugs inside. You have zero control over the air conditioning - it’s a freezer box even when you turn the air off or to 80 degrees. It’s constantly blowing on high. There was a water issue while I was there in which we didn’t have running water for about 8 hours- they did get this fixed but it was definitely a nuisance. Housekeeping only came one time- I was there for 5 days. The pools are much smaller than advertised and offer minimal shade
- 5/5
Super nice
- 2/5
The room they assigned to us was in a courtyard under total construction. After arriving at 1:00 AM, we woke up construction equipment right outside our deck. There were dump trucks, backhoes, etc. and it sounded like a war zone. How can ANY hotel think it's ok to put guest in an area like this? We were appreciated that they moved our room the next night but we were only there for 2 nights. Not a quality hotel
- 4/5
Great property, very beautiful plants, water features and pools. We stayed in a court yard view room which was quiet.
- 4/5
Clean. Staff were a bit disorganized and the price was quite high. Lovely pool area. The bartending staff was fantastic.
- 3/5
Room was just ok. Property is beautiful even while going through renovations. Staff at the bar (Mia and David) are amazing humans.
- 3/5
Room was Clean but dated, terrace was crumbling away
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Beautiful property!
- 3.5/5
Spacious room, great staff, free parking Room was very noisy from I think the AC. There was a intermittent loud knocking noise. Sounded like shoes in the dryer. We think it was from the AC.

The hotel was great. The third party app never actually made the reservation, but luckily the hotel staff were able find us a room when we got there.
- 5/5
The resort is beautiful, well kept grounds. The pool areas are nice. It seems like you need to get to the pool early! Towels are out on chairs by 8:00 am and we could never get a chair at the main pool. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Would stay here again.
- 4.5/5
The property was beautiful and well maintained. The pool was nice. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed. Location was great! Hotel was convenient to everything. Staff was friendly and gave good recommendations when asked about restaurants. We were "guaranteed check-in by 4pm" but didn't get our room till after 4:30pm which was very frustrating! The couch in the room was horribly uncomfortable!! The "courtyard view" from our balcony was blocked by a huge tree with a lot of dead leaves and branches which was very disappointing. Although the pool was nice, there were not enough chairs for the guests which left us to sit poolside on the cement.
- 1/5
Room was clean but air conditioner was ineffective. Room was really old with some tiles coming out. Overall it was extremely disappointing.
- 4.5/5
rooms are dated
- 4/5
Staff was fantastic! Pools could have been warmer.
- 5/5
Fitness area was under construction so they had a temp room … told us they’d be done with the upgrade April/May 2026
- 4/5
The pools were nice but not as clean as I would have hoped. Maintenance maintained shrubs and trees around the pools and then blew the cut ups with a high-powered air blower, some of which ended up on and in the water but that was never cleaned within the 5 days we spent. We still enjoyed the sun and the water, but management should consider making some changes here.
- 5/5
The pool was a great place to hang out in and by. The food we ordered by the pool was a little spendy, but tasty.
- 3/5
Broken ice machines. Broken AC. No Tennis Channel.
- 5/5
Such a beautiful resort!!! Everything from the room that we had to the beautiful pools and the bar outside to the restaurant and bar that the resort has on site not forgetting the convince of Starbucks is just amazing! The beautiful landscape just made everything seem like you’re at a tropical oasis. The staff and management is on point and available to you for anything needed. The resort is also walking distance to downtown Scottsdale and all the shopping which is ideal! Will definitely be coming back again!!!

- Room size of dbl Queen - plenty of space - Location - very short trip to hike camelback and easy to get to other areas we wanted to visit while there - Pool - looked really nice and there was 2 of them - Restaurant - food was good - Water pressure in shower - Front desk staff was nice Cons: - Check-in line was very, very long - Room a/c did not work until maintenance switched something. so the first night was miserably hot in the room. - the bathroom was not great: toilet sounded like it was dying when you flushed it (very loud noises to refill the tank), toilet seat was very old looking, shower head was not high enough (i'm only 6ft tall), shelving in shower was rusted. - Housekeeping entered our room without our knowledge to make beds. then took all the towels and left us zero new towels. - That great picture of the gym is not what you get when are there. it was moved (?) to an old retail location with old carpet and glass shelving on the perimeter. odd. nothing to clean the equipment after use either. - There was one way to exit the property - Starbucks was understaffed. Barista was very friendly and doing all she could though. So for $300/night, I will find something else in the area when we return.

The room is quite lovely with pickled wood exposed beams and wonderful low pile carpeting. However, nearly everything needs minor attention. In bath and doors there are raggedy bits. They aspire to be a ‘high’ end resort. They are fairly middle of the road. The resort fee is the tip off. Completely uncalled for. Good points: room was quiet in the back of the property - first floor. Some of the decor is quite lovely. Lawns are nice. Airy spaces. Bad points: this resort is not much more than you would find in a hotel anywhere else. Cost is above what it should be. Beware of the doors that connect rooms—- this could be a noise problem. ( we were lucky- no neighbors could be heard)

Beautiful property with pools and gardens and friendly, welcoming staff
- 4/5
They waived the $30 resort fee for me due to speaking up about these. Thought they should tell folks of the renovations up front. Bumpy check in but another recovery with a couple of breakfast vouchers. Sounds like I am a complainer but not usually. They made good on their shortcomings, so that is appreciated. Housekeeping was good, good location. Most staff very friendly. I would stay again
- 4/5
The noise of the construction was unfortunately distracting down by the pool. The staff was very friendly at the desk, around the grounds, housekeeping.
- 5/5
Overall great hotel. Very nice staff, great hotel grounds, good restaurant/food and the 55” TV having the steaming services (Netflix, Apple TV, YouTube) setup was a great surprise! The room was nice but was dusty in many spots, which was really the only downside to the hotel. Overall we had a great time & definitely will stay again!
- 3/5
We had to ask each day for our room to get cleaned, and it never got cleaned our last day.
- 5/5
The room was nice and clean next time I would ask for a pool view room that would be nice.
- 4/5
Super nice staff, large room, pretty outdoor spaces.
- 3/5
Carpet too- Had to ask to change rooms due to that. 2nd room somewhat better. Room prices were elevated due to a golf tournament and not worth price we paid. This hotel was rated a four star but would only give it maybe a three. They are remodeling hotel at entrance which looked nice as you come in. Bathroom was clean except for floor grout.
- 2/5
Property is tired Some repairs is underway and noisy Rate was high for busy season but no correlation to service received
- 5/5
The front desk staff was excellent. I really liked the rooms, the patio, pools. A very nice resort at a reasonable price.
- 2/5
Service was terrible, i called and asked for more coffee packets, they never came.. definitely a waste of money, oh and pur air conditioner wouldnt turn on so we were uncomfortable all night
- 4/5
Loved this hotel, staff, and accommodations - only downside is there was construction that started very early and was extremely hard to ignore. I was there for work so my rest was important. Obviously they cannot help that construction needs to happen, but just felt like it was a bit early to start drilling next to sleeping guests.
- 5/5
Could have gotten more housekeeping services, we had to ask for towels and TP!
- 5/5
Inside of rooms were clean and nice with exposed wood beams and nice new floor. Staff did a great job. Dined at restaurant once for breakfast and twice for dinner and food was very good. Front staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
The staff was courteous and the cookies were awesome!
- 3/5
The room was clean also. The staff was fabulous. Very helpful. My complaints are these, just for others traveling: the pictures on hotels.com are misleading; the hotel is under construction. The pool bars/restaurants were also closed the whole time. The giant outdoor fireplace featured in the pictures is not there, and there is just one bar area/restaurant on property, no outdoor service. The only other thing (and I don’t want to complain because I know they are remodeling, and because it was clean) is that the room bathroom was wildly outdated— small, poor shower, peeling paint. But I know they are trying and I hope after the remodel it will be a beautiful place.
- 3/5
Poor housekeeping.
- 3/5
Property is nice but needs updating. No extra blanket or toilet paper. Toilet needed repair.
- 1/5
The bad. First room smelled like smoke and mildew. Oh well, it happens. We asked for a new room. New room was ok. Turns out half of the property is under renovation. This means that the main pool is closed, half of the rooms are having the bathrooms renovated and we were warned the smell would be strong depending on what side of the property we were on. We could smell it even tho we werent near it. The basketball/tennis courts no longer exist. The gym was under construction. They had a temp gym in two of the rooms lol. None of this is advertised at time of booking. I also checked on hiltons site directly and there is no mention there either. This is where it gets esp. bad. I finally got a chance to go work out after the first 2 days of our trip. I heard running water in the bathroom in the temp gym. I thought maybe another patron was in there using it? then i smell a strong chemical. Few minutes later a contractor pops out and empties something into kitchen sink in the room. its now clear that they are renovating the temp gym bathrooms ... why?! why would you set up a temp gym only to start to renno the restroom and close the gym? We ended up getting a refund and moving hotels.
- 5/5
Resort is very nice outside and inside. Check in was a little long but we loved the cookies!
- 5/5
Nice room, very spacious & pretty. Don’t forget to ask for cookies & water at check in!
- 5/5
The room was very spacious and it was nice to have a kitchenette. The pool and hot tub were great. Amazing restaurant onsite. Excellent option for a hotel near the airport.
- 3/5
The resort was under construction/renovation so many amenities were not available. We also had to move rooms due to no AC/heat and bad chemical smells from working on other rooms.
- 3/5
Room was not very well stocked - TP low and coffee - The shower was really not clean and around the shower there was black scum - No microwave in the room? and the microwave in the market was worse than gross. Front desk and, service at the bar and shuttle driver were great!!!
- 5/5
and Conner. They were so helpful and gave great recommendations. Room was large and very nice. We like the property and location. When construction is complete the resort will be great but right now they have some issues. I understand this is the time they need to complete it but realize this is going on at this time. Breakfast is wonderful and staff very good as well. We did not use pool as weather was cool. Free shuttle is a nice perk. I enjoyed my stay and would return when all is complete. Again, kudos to front desk staff ❤️
- 3/5
Property is in desperate need of room upgrades. Feels dirty and walls and doors are filthy. Major construction all around hotel and was unaware before we booked.
- 4/5
The beds are smaller than normal queen size beds. There is only one chair inside the room, while we had to use the chairs outside (dirty).
- 3/5
Also one day they forgot to clean the room. They should advise if the hotel is doing renovations. That is why I picked this hotel because the hotel we usually booked was under renovation.

- 5/5
Staff, and amenities I used were great.
- 1/5
Terrible experience. Pool was under construction, restaurants were closed not worth staying here
- 1/5
The biggest issue is safety. The staff drive these small black golf carts way too fast through the parking lot. It is hard to see them, especially since they do not stop at the intersections where the parking lanes meet the hotel entrance. They just blow right through without looking. One staff member zoomed past my car while I was backing out and he was moving so fast I did not see him in my mirrors until he flew past me. I was almost hit twice in five days. The service coordination is also broken. We requested early housekeeping on multiple days so the room would be ready for us to rest in the afternoon. The front desk said they would do it, but housekeeping continued to arrive at 3pm every single day right when we got back to nap. It felt like our requests were ignored. I booked this place specifically to avoid another hotel under construction, so it felt really deceptive to arrive and find this place is also a mess. They did not tell us before booking that the main pool is closed, the sports courts are torn down, and half the property is a construction zone. It is loud and the dust was bad enough to give me allergies. After I complained and asked for it, they did give us free breakfast for the last few days. I appreciate that, but I noticed they usually charge $26 a person for what is just a stand
- 4/5
Shower might need some renovations and the drain water was running slow. The breakfast and restaurant had limited choices. The hotel may need a new dining area. Overall the stay was good and I recommend staying at the hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Clean room, great breakfast, friendly staff.
- 2/5
The walk from the room to the lobby is very long. At night due to the long walk it’s so scary because there is not much outdoor lighting
- 5/5
We were very pleased with the hotel and especially its staff. The room was quiet, spacious and clean. The wait staff in the restaurant was amazing as well. Even though the main pool was under construction, the smaller pool was just as nice. Loved the grounds and found them easy to navigate.
- 3/5
The housekeepers put the same sheets on the bed after I asked for new ones service is very slow as well
- 5/5
Great location! Nice, clean, quiet room. Wonderful food. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Everything about our stay was fantastic. The staff were all awesome, the property was clean, and the amenities were wonderful.
- 4/5
The downside were the renovations which made it more difficult to navigate through the hotel (had to go around and follow signs). They did offer free drinks for the disturbance. The rooms were ok, beds comfortable but the rooms are a bit dated. The buffet breakfast was priced high for what it offered- typical buffet breakfast with eggs bacon and waffles $26 USD. All in all we would go back and would love to see the full look and amenities of this resort. It promises to be amazing.
- 5/5
No work out facilities
- 5/5
Room was great, staff was excellent!
- 3/5
Rooms were large and clean but very dated. Bed was crazy uncomfortable. Worst bed I have ever had in a US hotel. TV is positioned oddly for viewing from bed. Staff were good, competent. Facilities are in poor condition. Property is under heavy construction, with some areas off limits and making movement cumbersome around property. No ice machine by our room where it was supposed to be. Overall, I would never stay there again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and well kept during my stay ! I enjoyed the customer service provided by the staff.
- 1/5
This is the worst Double Tree we have ever stayed in! It is being redone and it NEEDS it. We had to move 3 times! The rooms were dirty. Another smelled like a sewer and the 3rd one the water wouldn’t drain in the shower! The hotel is a mess! The furniture is falling apart! The sheets were dirty. We are writing the president of the company. It’s going to take 2 years to fix up and Expedia and Double Tree do NOT tell the customers that it’s under construction. Everyone was upset! I paid for 4 rooms for two nights and almost left! It was gross! I want a refund. You should not use it.
- 3/5
Carpet was really dirty

Things were broken in the room. Bathroom was constantly flooding and toilet didn’t flush
- 3/5
Good hotel and service. The room I stayed in had great views but I wasn't too impressed with the bed. Mattress is old and falling apart, and the sheets didn't feel fresh.
- 5/5
We loved this hotel! It was clean, nice big towels and comfortable beds. We had a beautiful view of the pool and it was quiet. The staff was friendly with a beautifully decorated lobby for the holidays. We were given cookies and bottles of water at check-in.
- 3/5
The room was BIG. I paid extra for a courtyard view but we were tucked in a corner so it was a partial view. The front desk staff and the bar staff were lovely. Much of the hotel is closed for construction. I never would have booked there if I knew. We wanted to spend some time at the pool which we never got to see. There is a smaller pool, but its just disappointing when you plan to enjoy the view in the pictures and instead get construction fences all over the property. We would stay again but would check before we book. Tennis courts were also under construction. The property overall is beautiful, I just wish we were able to enjoy it as shown in the pictures. The gave us a specific drink voucher for the "pardon our dust" Not great for someone who doesn't drink fruity cocktails. LOL
- 5/5
The receptionist that checked us in was wonderful. The room was very spacious and the pool area was nice.
- 2/5
Under construction! No pool, no nothing. Lobby and facility shrouded in darkness. Charged a resort fee for nothing.
- 5/5
Clean room quiet and convenient
- 5/5
The buildings and grounds are very nice too. The buildings are made a cement block which, to some degree, mimic the more famous Arizona Biltmore Hotel, which is not far away and was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. (However, the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Paradise Valley is far less expensive than the Biltmore.) Getting around the hotel could be a bit of a challenge as it's somewhat of a maze, but signs are posted throughout, so if you follow those your set. We also found all of the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. They were quite attentive to our needs (which were minor). For me, the only drawback is the general location. The hotel is not within walking distance of much of interest, but I get the since the Scottsdale/Phoenix are not really walking cities, certainly not like my hometown (New York City), but getting around by car is pretty easy. In short, I had a very good experience at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Paradise Valley and I would highly recommend staying here.
- 5/5
The staff are wonderful. The property itself is so lovely and tidy. The breakfast buffet is a fab way to start the day. Then a cold beer in the bar (thanks David and Maegan!).
- 3/5
The grounds to the hotel are nice and well kept. The room has potential with the wooden beams and color scheme. However, the bathroom was awful. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights so we didn’t have to shower in it. There was mold on the grout in the shower, water damage across the baseboards and the bottom of the door was completely rotted. The bathroom itself was very small too. We were excited for a nice relaxing stay to celebrate our babymoon but were disappointed in the room for sure.
- 5/5
Great location clean and everything was perfect! 5 stars
- 4/5
Rooms were fairly large, patio furniture could use some updates but enjoyed the balcony.
- 3/5
“I reserved 2 rooms and the property charged me over $130 in resort fees, but it doesn’t quite offer the typical resort feel or activities. Also there is definetly some upgrades needed. There were some things that definetly need to be fixed. For future reference It would be helpful if The property construction was communicated more transparently so people can choose a resort accordingly.
- 3/5
We were initially excited to stay at the property. Unfortunately, we found that the half of the resort was under construction. The hotel mentioned "reception/lobby renovation", but failed to note that one of the two pools was closed and major sections of the resort were fenced off. The resort felt like a ghost town with minimal services, the main fountain was out of order, no bar service at the pool, broken poolside games, and gathering areas in need of attention. We found the patio furniture for our room torn and the tub wouldn't drain upon arrival. The room's phone was out of order as well. What initially seemed like a deal turned out to be a desperate attempt to fill vacancies. We chalked this one up to an unfortunate travel experience that will make us more cautious in the future.
- 5/5
We had a great time at this resort. We were able to enjoy the pool although the one for adults only was closed for renovations. Despite that, we enjoyed the other one. We will come back soon

Room was very clean and comfortable. Only downside was that one lamp didn't seem to work and the TV basically has a very limited selection.
- 4/5
The stay was good and the staff was wonderful. My room was nice but had stale smell, not sure how to explain it. I would say the only other thing which is silly is the picture should be center of the bed! It drove my brain nuts! Otherwise would stay again thanks!
- 3/5
No stains and smells
- 5/5
Rooms were nice, staff was very polite and courteous.
- 4/5
The hotel is under construction . Getting to restaurant and bar area you walk through construction. Otherwise was a good place to stay and good location
- 5/5
It was a great location and the pool was a bonus!!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great staff
- 5/5
The stay was perfect, beautiful room, beautiful venue and great service by the front desk and staff. I really loved the option of when the staff from the front desk was able to text me and I was able to text back and do reservations through the text. That was a great feature.
- 5/5
Staff was Outstanding and went out of the way to look out for us. Great location and the pool is fun and heated too for the colder nights.
- 5/5
I had a great day. It was a little dated, but still not too bad. Worth the price that I paid.
- 5/5
Loved it
- 2/5
It was shocking that there was not one mention of the complex being under construction/remodel when my reservation was made. I would have been fine with it had the powers that be just be honest. The staff is fabulous regardless.
- 3/5
We did not know the hotel was under major reconstruction at the time of booking. Would have been nice to know. The bar areas and the main pool area including the fitness center were all closed or wonky!
- 5/5
Staff was amazing
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
The service and the food were great !
- 5/5

- 3/5
Staff was courteous but we had a leak in the wet car in our room during our entire stay. We called to have them fix but just a band aid was put on slowing it to continue leaking and the carpet was constantly wet.
- 3/5
Lots of construction had lobby, pool and pool bar closed which changed the experience quite a bit.
- 5/5
The room and resort was very nice. Quiet and easy to get around. The hot tub and pool are very nice.
- 5/5
Very spacious, clean room. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, no complimentary fresh brewed coffee only overpriced Starbucks and the keurig in the room. Also, front desk didn’t tell housekeeping about our late checkout. Checkout is normally 11am and housekeeping actually woke us up at 830am the first time, then came by again at 1125 and 1230 because they didn't know we had late check-out.
- 5/5
👍
- 2/5
How this place can charge a resort fee is diabolical. The hotel is being renovated, and it basically only offers a pool and small hot tub. Fitness room, tennis courts, etc were non existent. Detours all over the place to get to the restaurant. Breakfast buffet was typical Hilton….unappealing. Outside the rooms is a concrete jungle with awful prison type bricks. My room was clean and bed was OK. Outside in the patio areas were overgrown with weeds.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, desk staff was excellent. Especially Meghan at the bar, she was fabulous. The grounds were well groomed and beautiful. A delightful place to stay. Amenities on cite were great. Shopping and restaurants close by.
- 2/5
This hotel seems to always be under construction, though the pictures don’t show it. The hot tub was off at 7p, many of the plants are dead, the hotel gym has been moved into a hotel room, and the room was freezing with a faulty thermostat. Hopefully the construction brings this place back to the form in the pictures.
- 5/5
Love the room and the beautiful property s well.

- 5/5
The room was spotless. Beds are great too! Remodeling of lobby was in progress but no problems with check in or check out. PLUS Jeff at check out treated us with a driverless car to the airport! What an experience!!!
- 1/5
Renovations going on, so a lot of redirecting all over the resort, (nothing you can do about that) they not have room available when we got there, were sold out for the night.. Finally got to into our room, they hastily made up a dirty one and you could tell they just threw it together. Shower was dirty..was not what it used to be. Wont be coming back.
- 5/5
Staff was very considerate, parked right outside my room. Shower easy, comfortable bed& cookies -delicious!

Clean room. Comfortable beds and pillows. Responsive and courteous staff.
- 2/5
Room was literally falling apart. We had a piece of wood fall off the vanity right after we got in the room. There was no hand soap either. I thought I was in the Soviet Union based on the shoddy building quality of the room. Staff very friendly.
- 5/5
Gracious/welcoming staff…spacious, clean , comfortable, quiet accommodation, lovely restaurant, grounds and public areas well maintained!

Hotel under construction- horrible!
- 3/5
A ton of the hotel is under renovation and the hotel/pools need a remodel. Not the typical double tree standard
- 3/5
Friendly staff ! Quiet.. & very accommodating. Long walks because of renovations.
- 3/5
Due to construction property and amenities seemed low, restaurant service was very slow even with very few diners.
- 4/5
It was under renovations so the gym was a tiny room and the room needed a refresh but overall the staff was far above and beyond accommodating
- 2/5
The whole stay was a total disappointment. I think it is almost criminal not to inform the public that the whole site is under construction renovation and be prepared for a lot of inconveniences. I also resented the lecture from the maintenance man on how I didn’t understand how the tiny refrigerator works, which in this case DIDN’T. This is a sample of the issues I have with my stay but I am most likely wasting my time.
- 3/5
Property undergoing renovations & was not made aware until check in. Staff is lovely; pools nice; restaurant very good. Rooms spacious but showing some signs of age.
- 4/5
This is an older resort that is in the middle of renovations. It’s a great location. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. One manager even called an Uber for me when their shuttle wasn’t available. The grounds are lovely and it was very quiet. I appreciated having a small balcony where I could sit and drink coffee in the morning. The rooms are a bit dated and had a slight musty smell, but were clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
Property old and unkept
- 2/5
This property is under construction and will not be done for months. The property exterior is vintage and the rooms are adequate. Pools and grounds are nice. The restaurant serves promptly with average fair. For the price its fine considering the prices of the other better hotels nearby. The "gym" was absurd. It was a regular room with weights and a couple workout mats. With the price at $250 per night it was reasonable considering the location and average cost in Scottsdale. Staff was nice enough to offer an extra Saturday night at the weekday rate.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
The property was under “lobby” construction but the jack hammering sounds in the morning and at the pool was less than desirable. Would have been nice to know that the construction although the lobby it does affect a lot of other areas
- 1/5
The staff at the front desk was very nice but the amenities were awful. Room was dusty and old. Nothing through the booking said the resort was under construction. So the tennis courts were torn out and workout room was in a very dingy smelling hotel room with such limited equipment. These things were reasons why this place was picked. The room key also only worked occasionally to get into the pool areas. House keeping didn’t come until I asked, then didn’t stock coffee or towels. Also they didn’t clean anything just made the beds and took dirty towels. But one day they only made one bed and left the other one as is.
- 1/5
Staff is great, but owners are deceptive in hiding the fact this is a major renovation. All over there are signs that say, "Pardon our Dust." Anyone with respiratory challenges should be warned that they will feel sick at this place. Profits are more important than people for these greedy SOB's. They are disgrace to the name, "Hilton"!
- 3/5
The staff and service were amazing. The rooms are spacious but the bathrooms need some upgrades
- 5/5
We stayed 10/22-10/25 for girls trip. Our stay was absolute perfection! They did have some construction going on near the lobby but it didn’t bother us. They gave all guests complimentary drink vouchers for the “trouble”, which was nice. Those sunrise drinks were so delicious!! We ate at the restaurant once for breakfast (we opted for the buffet; the fingerling potatoes were soooo good!), and once for lunch poolside. The fish tacos were freakin yummy!!! And the cucumber spritzer was so refreshing! 10/10 stay. Can’t wait to go back.
- 3/5
The courtyard was nice but the rooms are outdated and need renovation
- 2/5
This resort was under complete renovation. We should have been informed about this before selecting this particular resort. We chose this resort since we love and tend to frequent the fabulous gym and spa when staying. It was closed and the entire spacious beautiful lobby was closed off and revamped by heavy machinery. The rooms are run down and the walls between guests paper thin. We will miss the gorgeous grounds and pools as we shall pick another resort next time in Scottsdale. The price we still had to pay for our stay - in the middle of this renovation chaos- was far too high. A room discount should have been applied.
- 2/5
Nice staff and services but the hotel was under renovation so walking in the property was like walking through a maze as many portion of the property was closed off. The construction noise and dirt wasnt helpful either. Entering from a side entrance as the main lobby is under renovation is like paying full price for half the experience. We should have been notified of the renovation construction before booking our room we most likely would've chosen another hotel.
- 3/5
The check in desk and workers around very friendly and helpful but the shuttle drive was very rude and never came back to pick us up. Also it is very difficult to get around maybe need better signage’s and better system of walking around trying to find things
- 3/5
The room was clean, but bathrooms outdated. We had a few maintenance issues. The pools were nice, but bar for one was closed and there is major renovation going on in the lobby.
- 1/5
The shower ran pretty much all night. You couldn’t turn off the AC. He froze for two nights and sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain at all so it had water in it after the first use. It was pretty bad condition.
- 5/5
We thought the resort was amazing! Even though there was some construction going on, we didn't feel the impact hardly at all. We were there mostly on a weekend when there was no construction, and there was a little noise on Monday. However, the staff were all so kind and helpful. My daughter and I loved the pool - the warm one! It was so pretty and fun. The view from our room overlooking the pool was lovely. My one recommendation is better music played around the resort, Top 40s is a great station for all! Overall, we had an amazing stay and hope to return soon for another fun time!!! (They gave us cookies too!)
- 1/5
First and foremost; they are under construction since Oct 1. There was no access to an elevator when steps were closed to be painted. The tub was so dirty and black. The water was not running at all on the 4th day . The hot tub was not in great condition. The only redeemable part was the staff doing transport and assisting my ambulatory disabled mother.
- 4/5
Nice patio, room was large, bathroom needs updating. Beware of resort fee! Jeff told me he’d credit my CC, no refund yet.
- 4/5
I. understand they are in the middle of remodeling & upgrading
- 4/5
Every thing was good except the construction
- 4/5
The construction was annoying
- 4/5
High marks for staff especially restaurant. Believe there should be some compensation for the inconvenience. Made everything hard to find. Lots of people were wandering around lost.
- 4/5
Great location. Under construction so a little difficult to get to the lobby and the pool.
- 4/5
The closed off areas. It was super loud. It’s really hard to find your way around at night. It’s not very lit up or bright. Beautiful place just not what was expected
- 4/5
I have stayed at this hotel couple of times. Hotel rooms are big and comfy but seems like some rooms bathrooms are renovated and some are not. Last time I stayed my room had a bigger bathroom with a nice walking shower and bigger vanity. This time I had an old bath tub and smaller bathroom. Hotel has nice grounds with two big beautiful pools and nice outdoor amenities to hang out and relax outside. The staffs are very friendly, courteous and great service. Hotel location is conveniente neat downtown Scottsdale. Overall I enjoyed my stay and definitely consider staying in future. Please remodel the bathrooms.
- 4/5
All staff was friendly and approachable. Only downside was the bathroom shower, it could’ve use some updates or maintenance. But everything else on the resort was clean and nice.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Love the balcony views. L
- 4/5
Upon arriving there was an odor in the room, the ice makers didn't work, but the office did bring me up some ice. No elevators you had to walk the steps and I have back issues so that was kind of hard on me
- 3/5
I was there for 2 nights. The hotel is outdoors and it was raining I had to walk in the rain to my room with my suitcases. when got to the door I found out the key isnt working, waited for 20 min in the rain for someone to come and open. T.V had a problem too- this was fixed later. When I wanted to take a shower found out there was NO HOT WATER.
- 1/5
The lobby is not functioning And the entire hotel is under construction and they didn’t notify us. They have a huge mess going on, I saw minimum 10 others guests complained to the management. This is by far my worst experience ever in a hotel. This hotel was a nightmare for us.
- 2/5
Lost a watch that had a lot of meaning to me in the seating area between the bar and a table tennis area. I accidentally left it on the the table and were the last ones there last night. When I asked the front desk early this morning if the cleaning team or anyone had turned in the watch the clerk was not interested in helping and didn’t check with anyone about it. Unfortunately I had to leave this morning and Ive tried calling today to follow up on this and all ive gotten is the answering machine in a loop, no one picks up. I really did expect better service from this place
- 5/5
Amazing
- 3/5
The pools were dirty. There was construction and property did not notify guests; I wouldn't have stayed here if Hilton was transparent. The breakfast "buffet" was limited, carb heavy and mostly bland. We were very disappointed. Don't get me started on very old rooms, dirty carpets, mold in shower, balcony/patio screen door broken, and many more negatives. I should be angry; not impressed Scottsdale.
- 4/5
The resort was beautiful, service was amazing, room was comfortable. It’s just an old building that needed som tlc. The room we were in was definitely moldy. You could smell it. Other than that, the stay was amazing!
- 3/5
Water leak in the room, lack of maintenance. They cleaned the room once.
- 5/5
Greta service
- 5/5
Stay was excellent just wish it wasn’t no construction going on
- 5/5
Wonderful stay!!
- 5/5
My stay was amazing babe staff were friendly, attentive, and kind. The room was so clean.
- 3/5
How can house keepers not even notice there is no toilet paper in the room, i had to go ask for it. Three hispanic ladies did a great job on cleaning our room, but the black young lady was awful. She didn’t clean or provide us with anything that was needed in the room. I had to go find her to ask her for toilet paper.
- 4/5
Property is clean. Rooms were clean. Walkable distance to old town or they have a shuttle service.
- 5/5
Excellent check-in
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful stay. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with each point of contact. Check in/out, dining, house keeping, maintenance. All were professional and helpful with everything. Our family stayed 4 days and the amnesties were great for all ages. Location was perfect. Only bummer was we had a garden view room and it appeared as if at one time a sprinkler had broke and sprayed the sliding glass door. It was so dirty we could not enjoy the beautiful view which was remedied by opening the door so not a huge loss. Let house keeping and front desk know.
- 5/5
Great staff and food
- 3/5
Our first room had a terrible odor of urine from the carpet. The staff was very helpful and responded quickly to move us rooms. The property was a bit run down and definitely needs updating. The pools weren’t clean and the sheets had stains on them. The staff, including the shuttle service drivers were very nice and helpful but the hotel itself is not good.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. Very clean hotel with friendly staff.
- 4/5
IDK
- 1/5
The property was under major construction and when we put on the airconditioner it smelled like heavy smoking.
- 5/5
The property is currently undergoing some upgrades. That being said, the pools were great and I loved that there were two of them. I was able to park close to the room which was convenient. I loved how the room had a screen door that we could easily open to the outdoors. The property had a lot of green space and plants which was nice. I was really pleased with the resort and amenities offered.
- 3/5
I did not like the fact that all the rooms were outside and none in the building with the lobby or activities. I am handicapped and I couldn’t get around the hotel. I had to call for room service and that wasn’t cheap at all. $43 for French toast was a bit over priced.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing! The staff was so friendly, easy to get around, food was good, loved the pools.
- 5/5
Loved it! Clean. Pool was nice. Location was great and free shuttle was a great perk of staying here.
- 2/5
hotel was under construction, signs were misplaced, difficult to find your room at night, poor lighting. Breakfast did not open until 7 AM
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
There was construction happening
- 4/5
Ready to be remodeled
- 5/5
The walk way to our room was under construction so there were some noises from that as well as a big detour to our room because of it otherwise the staff was friendly and the resort was really nice.
- 5/5
Overall 10/10
- 4/5
Family friendly hotel. Not far from shopping center and restaurants. Currently under construction but overall nice.
- 4/5
The room itself was spacious and cozy, and the hotel offers two pools, each with different perks—one with restrooms and the other with a bar. Overall, my stay was great. The rooms were comfortable, the bar food was solid, and the atmosphere was relaxing. My only (minor) complaints: there was no true cold water, which was tough on 100+ degree days when I wanted a cold shower—the pipes only seemed to put out warm or hot water. Also, the pool near the lobby doesn’t have restrooms, so you need to walk to the second pool to use them. Still, those were small inconveniences. Overall, a really enjoyable stay.
- 4/5
Very nice, quiet resort. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The pools were nice however there was major construction going on near lobby and the larger pool (with the bar) so we could not spend time there (too loud). The other pool was nice though and the pathways & gardens were very pretty.
- 4/5
Staff was great!
- 5/5
I loved the free shuttle that drove me to near by shops and restaurants. Loved the layout of the room and the size of the room. Beds super comfortable. Also loved the AC and blackout curtains. Had the best sleep.
- 2/5
Checked in to our suite. Major rainfall and the room has several leaks and the fireplace didn't work. They upgraded us to another suite but it also has several leaks in the roof. The rear patio door wouldn't secure. The shower handle to turn on the water was broken. For these to be suites they definitely could use some TLC. The staff was awesome and very friendly.
- 5/5
It was convenient that the property had transportation for 2 mile radius. Pick up and drop off
- 5/5
Perfect location to many restaurants. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff! Loved the resort feeling without the resort price tag. Pools were perfect.
- 4/5
Property under some extension renovation. Very complicated to get around within the resort. Bring your own beverages, none is convenient to most room locations (no Coke machines). The staff is friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room helpful staff, check in was a breeze
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
Staff is nice. The hotel seems dated and the fees are out there!
- 4/5
Place is beautiful however. The bathrooms in your room will be old and are in need of a desperate update. On checkout day housekeeping tries to come into your early in the morning before checkout
- 5/5
Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Wonderful setting.
- 5/5
Everything was nice
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Staff super nice and accommodating. Room and grounds were well kept. Also in the perfect location to downtown Scottsdale! Would 100% return.
- 3/5
Location was great and close to everything. The pools needing cleaning they seemed a bit dirty.
- 4/5
Bar/ pool area was nice
- 2/5
There was a damp smell in all of the suites. The tub looked dirty.
- 4/5
My room was good (had to change rooms cause the first one smelled of mould and mildew) but again, needs to be renovated/updated. Overall, my stay was good but as a Hilton Gold Member, I expected more from this property and will most likely be looking into other options for my next trip.
- 2/5
This was my second time staying at this resort and it was an entirely different experience compared to the first time. This time there was ongoing construction with jackhammers going all day long we weren’t able to even be near the one pool and had to go to the second pool in which it was overrun by people because no one could be at the first pool. There was an infestation of ants in the bathroom. The third I found ants I came in and it was in all of my makeup bags and all of my things I had to shake out everything. At one point during our stay both pools were closed off because of tree work near one and the construction. there also was a constant smell of weed through the Friday to Sunday our entire room reeked of it. through all of this, there was one woman at the front desk, who was extraordinarily helpful and tried to do everything she could to accommodate our stay.
- 5/5
It felt like an amazing spaces the pool area was great!
- 2/5
Old
- 5/5
Love the vibe
- 3/5
There was major construction and jack hammering at the main building could not even use the pool. Had to use the other pool which was not clean. Water had lot of debris. Lots of towels left over and overflowing and people left their food and drinks and nobody cleaned up. Over an hour to get our luggage to the room and ended up going to just go get them. They cut a huge palm tree down which was a lot of noise and closing down area. They charge for a resort fee daily and could not use a lot of the property. Got bites from ant at pool.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel. There was a ton of construction during our stay to no fault of the staff. It definitely would have been helpful to have a cart take you to your room since there was so much construction. The staff was lovely ESPECIALLY everyone at the front desk. Michael the shuttle driver was great as well. I would stay here again for sure.
- 3/5
👍
- 5/5
It was in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go.
- 1/5
The 1 bed suite was very spacious but unfortunately smelled of weed every night and I had to check out earlier than my reservation as I could not tolerate the smell.
- 5/5
Great pools and grounds, thoughtfully laid out rooms (which are large), and great parking. Super convenient location. Nicely renovated rooms, especially the bathrooms.
- 2/5
Won't stay there again.
- 5/5
Beautiful, quiet
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Nice property, definitely no more than 4*
- 5/5
Very Clean Rooms Beautiful Grounds Restaurant Food and Menu was basic and overpriced. Bar atmosphere and music was disappointing
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Otherwise, the hotel is very nice! Service and cleanliness on the entire first floor (check-in, restaurant, bar) has been excellent.
- 5/5
This resort is well located, great staff with everything you need. Two amazing swimming pools, good fitness center and the rooms had everything we need. I would recommend anyone to stay here and maybe next time we'll try the restaurant. The self-serve market was definitely a great touch
- 5/5
Everyone makes me feel welcome
- 2/5
No maid service, broken ice machines, light bulbs burned out in room. The front desk was pleasant and apologetic. Property looks a little tired. Needs landscaping and improvement/cleaning of grounds area.
- 2/5
Dirty rooms , pools and common areas
- 5/5
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. The resort itself is stunning — beautifully maintained grounds, relaxing atmosphere, and breathtaking views everywhere you look. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and designed with comfort in mind. I especially loved the little touches that made the stay feel luxurious and personal. The dining options were incredible, offering a wide variety of delicious meals that truly exceeded my expectations.
- 5/5
Everything was great from checking in to the amenities on the resort. Bigger than I expected so definitely a plus. Very calm and peaceful place for a weekend getaway, we celebrated our anniversary with a 3 day stay and my wife loved every bit of it.
- 5/5
Parking was a bit tight, we returned to our room after a concert, and had to park fairly far away from our room. Could def use more parking. Otherwise, phenomenal stay, room was great, quiet, property was very nice. Will def be back.
- 5/5
It was beautiful. The staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Great staff and great pools!
- 5/5
Everyone here was so nice a polite. The place was gorgeous. Will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The hotel staff was great to help with my accommodation. The pools are wonderful!
- 4/5
It is very classic property and spacious room
- 4/5
Fitness rooms are a joke, barely large enough for 2 people at a time. Pool areas were very nice, plenty of space with lots of chairs and the pools were large to accommodate lots of people. Staff was very nice. Overall cleanliness was really good. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
The staff here were absolutely AMAZING!
- 4/5
A problem we encountered once while here - we told the maid to come in and just make the bed. We told her several times and welcomed her into the room. She closed the door (we thought to get supplies) but she left!! She did not understand English, we believe.
- 3/5
First time to Scottsdale had a good time overall stayed 7 days .. BUT the pool side bar was closed the whole time also the shuttle was down for a day in a half and the power went out in my room thank god that happened my last day smh .. also all the housekeepers don’t speak English and all the pos systems are always down so they always say they have to charge the room.. the place is nice and quiet and I did enjoy myself but the constant hiccups was really annoying also it’s really not fair to pay the resort fees for a lot of the amenities I didn’t get but whatever. Only two employees from the whole resort was happy to be there a lot of other employees were clearly irritated to be at work.
- 5/5
We liked the spaciousness of the rooms and it was also very quiet. Staff was friendly as well.
- 4/5
Great property in the Scottsdale area. Exactly what we were looking for; a quiet get away and everyone was very nice. Only issue I had was the cleanliness of our room. There were crumbs on the floor from a cookie and melted chocolate on the chair, also a giant toe nail on one side of the bed. The comforters had brown stains on them, and there was a pubic hair on the toilet seat. Lastly the tub didn't drain well at all and there was zero conditioner left in the container.

- 2/5
The AC in my room never worked the entire duration of my stay. The room was warm and the bathroom has no AC vent so it felt like outside you had to take cool showers.
- 5/5
Highly recommend for weekend stay. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 4/5
The room was a good size. The bed and couch seemed a little worn out and could be replaced. The garbage cans provided were pretty much useless! The pool was amazing.
- 5/5
Fantastic place to stay! Such great hospitality and an extremely clean room!
- 5/5
However DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA. They claim to include all taxes and fees in their price but they do not include the $30 resort fee or taxes. They are very intentionally misleading with the way they give you your receipt and make you think you paid for it, but the hotel will charge you upon checkout.
- 5/5
Great staycation and friendly staff
- 4/5
Stayed a week. Front desk and check in were fabulous! Breakfast was excellent! Yesenia at breakfast was superb! She was friendly, welcoming, and with great attention to the buffet food quality and also to our table. Buffet food selection changed daily, with great variety. The maid service was inconsistent and never knew when they would clean the room (had to call once, another time a no show). They never vacuumed the room while we were there. In the lobby, the floor, tables and chairs were clean, the bar was clean. The outside seating area and sidewalks/halls could have been swept/cleaned. The fitness center is being remodeled so fitness was in a temporary location, somewhat remote off the main floor. The access hall was dirty and smelled bad. But overall, very happy staying here. We extended our stay another week and would come back.
- 3/5
Thank you to Kaylyn for moving us out to the 1st room that we had its smells that is why. But she was able to give a clean room. The staffs were nice & accomodating. Double Tree needs to give them a raise!. The hotel needs to be renovated especially the rooms.
- 5/5
Our room was beautiful, clean, and it felt so homey! The shuttle was amazing, the drivers were super nice and made us feel comfortable. Would definitely stay here again :)
- 4/5
Communication, they had to disconnect the water for a few hours and did not inform the guest.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful hotel. The pool was excellent, as was the room. The service was great. It was very quiet and I thoroughly enjoyed staying.
- 5/5
Beautiful property clean friendly stuff
- 5/5
Great place. The swimming pool is fantastic. The staff is great.
- 4/5
Breakfast is good and there is enough variety of the food. Parking is available, although you may not always be able to park next to your section, especially if you return late. Pools are fine, but the space around them is very limited. Much appreciated the ice-cold drinking water available at the pools.
- 5/5
Very beautiful garden and swimming pool !
- 3/5
Grounds are well kept, pics were much nicer than room actually was. Beautiful pool areas, room was eh, no microwave & still would have given a decent review except we paid cash for dining, pool & bar area only to have my card charged for it as well. They kept the entire “holding fee” for amenities they say will be refunded upon checking out. I have been fighting for them to refund my $216, even have receipts for everything. They will not even provide a list of charges or explanation for charges incurred … so be cautious when it comes to the deposits, etc. Borderline scam at this point!
- 5/5
It’s an absolutely beautiful resort in the heart of Scottsdale! Close to everything we could want!
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
This hotel is a classic and pools are beautiful.
