Very convenient to the Savannah College of Art and Design. We were there for a tour. Also easy walking distance to the waterfront if you don't mind a healthy walk-about. Just 3K from the Savannah Bananas Baseball Complex and surrounding running track (I was training for a 10K so that was perfect!) I wish we could have been upstairs rather than in the lower rooms. If you have a choice, ask for a room upstairs.

Our room was clean and comfortable.Everyone was friendly and the location was convenient and safe. The breakfast was delicious, however, it was served at 9, late for starting our day. A continental breakfast available at 7 with quality coffee would have been preferred. Perking up the front entrance deck (paint/mold) and adding high quality bath mats witl impress and make it a five star Inn!

This was our first stay at McMillan Inn. It was somewhat of an unplanned trip and just by chance we booked one night here. Jackpot!! We booked the Montgomery Room and it was like a storybook dream. The clawfoot tub, the king bed with fireplace, huge windows, and on and on. The property is magical. Sitting on the front porch swing at night with a glass of wine is worth the stay. Chelsea greeted us when we arrived and helped us find parking and then gave us a tour. Of course there were fresh baked cookies as well. The breakfast the following morning capped off a perfect stay. Thanks to everyone at the Inn for a wonderful stay. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the McMillan Inn immensely! We felt right at home. Our room was beautifully appointed and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and breakfast each morning was delicious! The location was terrific and we walked all over the historic downtown area and used the free Downtowner for a ride home one night. Staying here made our time in Savannah extra special!

On first impression this accommodation offers a host of style furnished in the era of its originality and ideally located to explore the heart of Savannah. Situated in the Historic District everything is within walking distance. The accommodation was clean with plenty of towels and lovely linen. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Dietary requirements could be catered for if requested before arrival. For us the lack of comfort combined with the amount of antiquities in our room made it difficult to relax for a 3 night stay. Perhaps more adequate for a one night stay. Our bedroom, although large was not comfortable and felt cluttered. The bed was soft and lumpy, antique sofa, which was the only seating in the room and fit with the decor was again lumpy with springs popping up and large dips where the age showed. The wardrobe did not have coat hangers nor a rail to hang clothes although there was adequate drawer space. The bathroom although designed and furnished in the era of the house was not functional. On stepping out of the shower one had no room to dry oneself. There was nowhere to put one's toiletries and the mirrors were not adequate for personal usage, more for decorative purposes. We were unable to make use of the outside space and amenities as the weather did not allow for this. Breakfast although probably traditional, biscuits and gravy may be typical, is not perhaps suitable for international guests. The granola and yoghurt were not enough of a selection and perhaps a larger buffet alternative, hot and cold, would be more beneficial for guests.

The property was just lovely! We only stayed for one night as we were traveling home. When we arrived they had just baked fresh cookies in the parlor. The rooms were exquisite. I was so sad that we only spent 1 night. The location was right in the heart of the beautiful historic area and close to the riverfront where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely be back for a longer, proper stay at the McMillan Inn.

My wife and I love to visit Savannah and this was the first time staying at McMillan Inn. The location is GREAT! It is a couple of blocks away from Forsyth Park and is in walking distance from all the shopping and sights that Historic Savannah has to offer. The staff was friendly and engaging. They serve a delicious breakfast each morning. We stayed in the Whitaker Room and it was lovely. The only knock would be the smaller-sized bathroom that didn't have much, if any space to place cosmetics, hair-dryer, etc. Overall, we were very pleased and look forward to staying at McMillan on our next trip to Savannah.

The only knock would be the smaller-sized bathroom that didn't have much, if any space to place cosmetics, hair-dryer, etc. Overall, we were very pleased and look forward to staying at McMillan on our next trip to Savannah.

Everything was amazing. We stayed in the Pulaski room which was gorgeous. The breakfast was possibly the best I’ve had in a long time, and was served by the owner. If I go back to Savannah I will stay here again.

Booked 2 nights here for our Honeymoon visit to Savannah, with many options in the historic district, picked McMillan on a whim and am SO GLAD we did!! Beautiful Inn, gorgeous rooms, delicious treats and breakfasts… staff and owners went above and beyond, friendly, helpful, even helped us find places to check out in the city based on our interests. Liked it here so much we came back for an additional night before leaving town! 10/10 what a gem, would happily stay here again!! If you consider McMillan…JUST BOOK IT!! :-D

When booking I wanted a true Savannah feel and this is exactly what I was hoping for! Two houses combined together and the room we had was grand, clean, well decorated. Felt like a piece of history. Check in and out were easy. The neighborhood is so cute and we walked to the river while enjoying the streets of Savannah. Highly recommend!

Overall, disappointed. We have stayed at similar category B&B's in Savannah over the years. Check in was smooth and the house manager professional. Our room was oddly and awkwardly furnished, and not very comfortable. Breakfast, only served at one 9:15 am seating (a bit late for those with activities or travel planned) with no food variation, and frankly was not very good - over spiced scrambled eggs, unappetizing thick pork gravy over biscuit as the "meat dish". There are better choices to stay in Savannah at similar price points.

From the moment I was greeted by Anna, I knew my stay at the McMillan Inn would be something special — and it truly was. The care I received from the entire staff — Emmie (who made the best poached eggs), Irma, Kathy, Ashley, and the owners — was above and beyond. As someone with a few dietary restrictions, I was especially grateful for the thoughtful effort the staff put into my breakfast each morning. They didn’t just accommodate me — they went out of their way to make sure I felt cared for. The inn itself is a gem — a stunning 18th-century home with decor that’s both historically rich and warmly inviting. My room was kept clean and comfortable every single day, and every corner of the house made me feel like I’d stepped back in time in the best way. The location was ideal: just a few minutes’ walk to Forsyth Park, amazing restaurants, and the riverfront. I only needed Uber twice — the airport and for Tybee Island (about 20 minutes away). Otherwise, I walked everywhere —even in kitty heels! Every historic square, landmark, and dinner on my list was just a few minutes away. I have nothing but great things to say about the McMillan Inn — the beautiful home, the outstanding service, the thoughtful staff, and the perfect walkable location. I can’t wait to return.

Wonderful place to stay for a long weekend, the McMillan Inn is situated in a charming residential neighborhood, and we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. There are stairs to climb to get to the lobby and to some rooms. The Inn is beautiful, loved the antiques, very charming. Breakfast was delicious and there were fresh cookies and tea available. We used the pool, it's small, but there is a lovely patio and plenty of space to hang out and enjoy some quiet outside time. I highly recommend, and hope to go back sometime soon.

Nice location, friendly staff. Our room was very clean and decorated to the period of the home. Breakfast was good, a savory and sweet dish with each meal, kind of heavy but they did offer a fruit bowl and yogurt with granola. We loved that coffee and baked treats were available all day. Biggest complaint was the bed, old and saggy and the bedding was just as bad. I prefer a duvet where they change the cover, this had a thick decorative comforter that we turned way down and then an old patchwork quilt. Sheets were fine, pillows were horrible. Definitely did not feel luxurious in any way, which was not fitting for the reputation the inn.

Breakfast was served too late as it ruins the day. The heat and humidity have already started. There was supposed to be some kind of welcome envelope at the door if it was locked. If it wasn’t for a vender delivering something and was able to let us in to leave our luggage we would still be standing there. As for the breakfast it got old after a few days. Would never recommend this place to anyone!

This is a beautiful B&B in a lovely victorian section of Savannah. I felt like I was staying in a museum with all of the beautiful antiques! I stayed in the Drayton suite which is on the 1st floor of the inn. This has a king bed and is a nice room however the window and outside door were blocked so we did not have any natural light. I think if I stay here again I would choose another room. The hosts were pleasant and breakfast was good. It is a mile from the river but if you have no problem walking it is a nice walk for sightseeing.

The house is very pretty and the decor helps to enhance the feel of just how old the house is. However, our room was on the third floor which would have been no problem except my mom had hurt her hip just before our trip and the stairs were difficult for her to get up and down- this house does not have an elevator. The location near Forsyth park is excellent- the parking was not very great as it is street parking and you have to contend with street sweeper days if you are there on Monday night or Wednesday night- another difficult situation when you are with someone who is not very mobile. The breakfast was fantastic each morning and overall it is a very nice bed and breakfast.

Our stay at the McMillan Inn was wonderful. We were celebrating my husband's retirement. Melissa and the rest of the staff were so lovely and informative. Breakfast and snacks available all day were delicious and it really felt like home. We could walk to almost everything we wanted to see.

Beautiful place to stay!! The people are amazing and were able to provide a gluten free breakfast (order in advance) for us. The only complaint I have is that the fireplace was out of order during our stay which was the main reason I booked it. Otherwise, this is a stunning location and is beyond comfortable, classy, and well worth the money. I most definitely will stay here again.

The McMillan Inn provides the best of a hotel experience (clean, luxurious, private rooms) combined with a homecooked breakfast and the friendliness of a neighborhood community. We had several thoughtful conversations with staff who were always willing to provide great tips on local sites or just checkin with us and see how our day was going. A great experience all around. For reference, we stayed in the Telfair Room and having our own private entrance was an additional detail we liked though this is not necessary as there is a code to access the main doors after hours.

We had a nice stay at McMillan Inn. We stayed in the Oglethorpe Room and it was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We had never stayed in a B&B before and were not sure about dining with strangers but we met some interesting people and the food and service (served by the owners) WA’s delicious and different every day. The house is charming and in good proximity to many interesting landmarks and historic areas to explore. Thank you for the hospitality!

The staff at the Mcmillan House is amazing! An example of how amazing is: A member of the staff saw my husband and I loading our luggage to head to the airport. He asked if we'd eaten before we left and we didn't have time. He asked us to wait, while he boxed two meals for us to go. I'm so glad he caught us! The absolute most delicious fried chicken and grits we've EVER had! This same thoughtfulness is a constant theme in this house. This was our first time in Savannah and it won't be the last. The McMillan house is a MUST while visiting Savannah. Two blocks away from the dot (free bus line), Forsyth Park, and a multitude of other historical sites.

Beautiful! We stopped here during our vacation for my husbands 50th birthday and we are glad we found the McMillan Inn. Great place to relax and explore Savanah from. The bed was very comfortable and we find most are not, but this was. Of course breakfast was amazing and there are always treats available in the parlor. Located on quiet streets. The owners can even help setup tours right from the inn!

the hotel was lovely and clean. Our room, Whitaker, was a bit cramped though. I thought that if some of the smaller decorative (non-essential) items were removed there would be more room for our bags and belongings. An extra hook or two would be great! No place to hang a wet towel or bathing suit. We enjoyed the common areas, especially the front porch.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. Location is great and we walked almost everywhere. Eric and Melissa were caring and attentive, friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed. A wonderful tasty breakfast is included and home made baked delicacies are available all day. Each room is private and one feels as if stepping back in history. Lovely front porch and outdoors areas for sitting. I also enjoyed the small but comfortable back yard garden pool. We will be back! I cannot emphasize enough the significance of staying in a space like this in this charming historical city - rather than a chain hotel. Thank you Eric and Melissa!

Courteous and helpful staff. Property located near Forsyth Park. Our room was adequate but needed some repairs/renovation. Shower had a rainfall head which did not work and the handheld spray could not be secured for use without hands. Mirror over sink was very small. Lighting in room and bathroom was very dim. Cable TV and internet was not available on the last morning of our stay. Attempted to contact staff via phone but no one answered.

We had an amazing anniversary vacation at the McMillan Inn in Savannah! The area in town was beautiful and felt very safe, even at night. We were more than comfortable walking around and everything was very close. The room we stayed in, the Drayton room, was gorgeous. The rest of the Inn was beautiful and the breakfasts were wonderful. The McMillan Inn was a perfect place for us to stay. Our room, the Telfair room, was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We loved that it was accessible without having to carry our luggage up and down the stairs. Our stay was quiet. The breakfasts were wonderful, and they even catered to my choice to limit gluten in my diet. We ate with the other guests which allowed us to exchange our Savannah sight-seeing experiences. Our host, Eric was friendly and happily took care of all of our wants & needs. For those guests coming in from late-night excursions, the Inn had cold drinks and fresh-baked goodies for a snack. I could not appropriately express how great our stay was!

The McMillian Inn was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. My teenage daughter and I traveled together and felt it was safe to wander around by foot to shopping and the DOT bus stop was super close. The owners were helpful, polite, and present. We highly recommend this famiky owned B&B and will definitely be back. My only word of warning is that the upper level rooms are up a tight, long staircase & that along with the clawfoot tub is not for the elderly.
