Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, several guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the high parking fees and some have reported issues with noise and maintenance in their rooms.
- Great location

Friendly staff, willing to help immediately and clean hotel.
- 3/5
I called the front desk at 12.20 AM to complain of the noise and informing them that i couldn't sleep because of it. The party disbanded about ten to fifteen minutes after my phone call. I shouldn't have to have made this call if management were monitoring this load lobby activity so late at night.
- 3/5
It is a great location! The hotel is another Marriott in Savannah, Ga., overpriced, all the hidden fees, they charger the guest (Me) $45.00 a day to park in the hotel parking garage at the hotel you are already paying for a room at almost $400.00 a night., just to be on the Savannah River in Savannah, Georgia on River Street. The restaurant menu did not have prices listed, very expensive. No worth spending the money for the hotel, for what you get. The showers need a deep cleaning; I put shower shoes on just to be safe.
- 3/5
Only exception to a nice stay was the internet bs and not providing that as part of the room. Parking was also questionable at $45 per day.
- 3/5
Over all the property is deserving of a rating of maybe 4/5. The room and bathroom were clean, staff was very helpful and the room service ordered meals were promptly delivered in take out plastic bags however the expectation of the hotel was somewhat disappointing. The pool was disgusting!
- 3/5
Not terrible but for the price i expected better. First night i got there they didn’t have a balcony room like we booked, but the next day they did move me. Very busy place but it was nice the hotel itself!
- 5/5
The location was wonderful and we loved the scenery ❤️ 😍
- 3/5
Hotel didnt suited for the price
- 1.5/5
To expensive 80 dollars for pancakes and eggs no no . Prices for food and parking is ridiculous high. Pillows suck to lumpy and soft .
- 5/5
We had access to a water taxi free and not far to walk for the historic downtown. The hotel staff was very helpful even got our tickets for things to do in the hotel.
- 4/5
The hotel itself and the rooms were very nice and clean. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly! The pool and its location left a lot to be desired.

The view of the river from the room was amazing. There were dirty dishes outside our room, next to our door, from the time we checked in until the time we left. They were not ours. Cell reception is horrible inside which gives you little to no option other than to pay for WiFi. Yes you can walk down to a public area for the free WiFi or in my case I walked out on the balcony to use my phone. $12.00 to use WiFi for less than 24 hours? No. The TV kept turning off by itself. Food selection had zero variety. The body wash provided smelled like something out of a nursing home, thankfully my husband brought his so I was able to use that. The towels were horribly scratchy. Honestly you’ll get more for your money, better location, and more comfort in a hotel further up River Street or even the Westin across the river.

View of the river was great. Easily walkable to the riverfront. The reason I gave it four stars was that the price of a glass of wine and a mixed drink was almost $50. I thought I was being robbed.
- 5/5
Great location, Awesome view on the river. The Front Desk staff we exceptional.
- 4/5
Convenient location to be able to walk the river front. In-room dining as well as restaurants was helpful and also convenient. It was a spacious hotel with spacious rooms.

The restaurant staff and food were very good. The parking in a surface lot was outrageous, on top of the already very high room rate, parking was another $45 per night. No one helped with our luggage, no one was around. The rooms and the common areas are in need of a refresh. The common halls and carpets were dirty and threadbare in spots. The elevator was dirty. The rooms were outdated. THis hotel looks as though it has been refreshed since the early 90s.

Loved the room service option after a long day. The location is at the east end of the historic district. Still walkable, but a further walk. I highly recommend this hotel. We will be back!
- 5/5
The parking situation is not the best and it’s a little further
- 4/5
Pricing in the bar and breakfast area were above expectations. We ate down the street

I will go back, excellent service!! I really enjoy everything and view

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel! Very convenient. The room was spacious and very clean! Soft king size bed and a beautiful view of the river! Definitely will be back!

Beautiful common areas, great location, nice rooms, very friendly staff Ridiculous upcharges from both Booking and Marriott … $13 / day for basic WiFi? $45 / day for parking in a spacious onsite lot when it was quoted at an already stupid $30? When did Ticketmaster buy Marriott?
- 5/5

This was quite possibly the nicest stay of my life (and I'm a senior citizen). I received a free upgrade to an executive suite. The room had everything I needed and more, including a spectacular view of the riverfront, and of the hotel's own atrium. The staff were plentiful and always cheery. From covered parking to the patio by the river, this facility has a lot to offer. I hope to make it back someday.
- 5/5
For starters, this hotel smelled AMAZING! It was the first thing I noticed. The staff were so friendly, the bed was very comfortable and the location was perfect! You walk out and the river is right there. It was my first solo trip to Savannah so being able to just park my car and walk to the shops was ideal. I would absolutely recommend.

Location is good, IF you want to be on the River primarily, but is on the end, so be prepared to walk alot. Is convenient to Pirates house. Ha. Did not like 45$ a day parking. Insane. Will never go back, just for that really. Didn't like the bed either and they didn't do a good job on the remodeling cleanup.
- 4/5
Location, friendly staff. Room was not clean when we got there. There was still coffee in the machine from the quest before and the door would not latch all the way and we felt like someone had been in our room.

The location was great and right by the riverfront.
- 5/5
The location was perfect. The concierge helped us find the perfect spot for dinner with amazing food and a great kids menu in walking distance. Honestly there are no critiques. I would stay there again.
- 4/5
I’d stay here again. Check-in was easy, and the staff was awesome. My only concern is that the “service animal” policy may need to be enforced more consistently. For a property that is not pet-friendly, there seemed to be quite a few animals on-site that did not appear to meet true service animal standards (fakes)! Also the pool needed a good cleaning.
- 2/5
Stayed on the 5th floor the mattress was not comfortable leaned more on one side then the other. The room was warm the whole time even though it was on the lowest temperature. Not worth the money they charge.
- 5/5

- 4/5
The location was exactly what I thought everything was in walking distance the river view was beautiful The accommodations I asked for was not available ( a King bed) when we arrived, the front desk did offer a king bed for two nights but it wasn’t available for the third night so we just excepted the two queen beds

The location is great! The lobby area is beautiful. For the price charged for a one-night stay, we expected more value and a higher level of cleanliness and service. We were disappointed that neither breakfast nor parking were included. The refrigerator in the room barely cooled, and there was trash left in the wastebasket upon arrival. The shower grout appeared to have black discoloration that may have been mold, and the room had a damp odor when we entered. Additionally, the pool was dirty and filled with leaves, making it unappealing to use.

Location and view The water was off in the morning. Never experienced that a hotel before. When water was back on it was dirty. Staff wasn't willing to compensate for inconvenience.

I loved our room. We had a balcony with Riverfront View! I loved seeing the ships coming into the port, looking at the people walking by and most of all just looking out at the Savannah River. It was very peaceful! There was nothing that we did not like. Well, maybe the breakfast at the hotel could be a little better.

Staff was great. I left an item in the room when we checked out. Made a call and they found it and held on to it until I could get back to pick up. It was very much appreciated.

Everything was amazing for check in to departure. Mei at the front desk was just phenomenal and started our Anniversary weekend of with a complimentary upgrade to a King with a Riverview. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Chris the concierge wears beyond helpful during our stay. Thanks for making our getaway in Savannah even more memorable!

It was our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff were wonderful to us. Our first night we ate dinner at the Hotel, I had shrimp and grits, my favorite. The chef, sorry I forgot his name, it was a Bible name though, made the best shrimp and grits I ever had. The room was clean, plenty of towels. The river view from the balcony was superb. The concierge was very helpful. Everything was perfect. The coffee was good too. Being in our 80's not able to do all that was available to us.

Location was fine but really not too much to see around save for the river walk which is OK. Limited number of restaurants within walking distance, which meant most were totally booked for diner (on a Saturday evening). Outrageous parking fee of $45 per day. You have to be kidding.

Good location and clean Blue restaurant. We sat down at a table and we told the person seating us that it was still dirty so she grabs a wet rag and wipes the crumbs to the floor as the waiter comes to our table. We then tell him the table is dirty and sticky so he uses the tag to wipe the table and the mats our silverware was on and then places the mats back sown along with the coffee cups which were dirty on the bottom. We then took clean cups and place mats from the table next to us which we couldn’t sit at. Not very Marriott style

The carpets are getting old. We didn’t get a room cleaning on day 3 which was disappointing after a day of adventure.

Close to shopping, restaurants, river front views The pool entrance was either outside of the hotel or walking across the bar area. The pool felt too small for the size of the hotel.
- 5/5
I will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Overall a good visit. Only complaint was no bottled water in room.
- 3/5
I requested a balcony room - and I got it. 2nd floor INSIDE the lobby, right above the bar and coffee shop of the hotel. And there was a convention being held in the lobby. People were yelling at each other from across the room at 5:30am on Saturday morning. The hotel did nothing. They have a “quiet period” from 10pm to 8am posted but obviously it’s not enforced. I was really looking forward to this stay in Savannah. The city did not disappoint but the hotel sure did.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The room we had was with a king bed, which was very comfortable and the softness of the pillows were exceptional. The staff were very friendly. There was a loud noise during the night that disturbed my sleep. It was some type of banging that happen about every 20 minutes or so. I could not figure what it was, but it made sleeping through the night impossible.
- 3.5/5
Location Parking fee was ridiculous with what we paid per night that parking should of been included And also our room ceiling was peeling and piece would fall off on our beds
- 4.5/5
Location, cleanliness, housekeeping staff for Room 622. She was very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Disliked the $45 parking fees ($135.00 for our stay was excessive). Charge more for the room and eliminate this fee.
- 5/5
This was a wonderful hotel. Very nice and clean and the staff were excellent! I will be staying here again.
- 3/5
The check-in staff was great. The room was clean. Some notes - there was no microwave nor bathroom vent. There was a conference and a "ball"/dance during our stay in the center of the lobby, so awkward leaving and returning. Guest should be warned of high traffic like this. All the doors in the room had issues - main was crooked and no seal, and much noise came through. Bathroom shower glass had crack. Sliding door to balcony old and difficult to slide and open/lock. Door to gain access to minifridge rubbed/stuck. Our first night had neighbors with children who bounced off bed - causing our wall/headboard to shake (thin walls). Luckily, we spent little time in room - too busy taking tours, sightseeing, shopping. On our final day, received notice that a contractor would need access to our room sometime that date - we left early to avoid. All in all, room appears nice, but attention to details not given.

- 1/5
The location was great After we checked in and got to our room I disinfected the room. As I was wiping down the bathroom there was blood on the sink handle and on my wipe. I called and got the room switched and they said they upgraded us and if anything it was downgraded. We lost our balcony and it was just not a great room We got. Very disappointed
- 4/5
Instead of leaving waters in room or giving at check in, when I went to purchase water downstairs first learned of them being free, and was handed 2 warm bottles by front desk
- 4/5
Clean room and prime location. Staff was very friendly.
- 1.5/5
We were in room 601. We had to hear the elevator go up and down all night. The bed closet to the door has one side that is significantly lower than the other so you sleep in a dip. We did not have a river view - we had a view of the AC units.
- 5/5
The room was was great the balcony was beautiful
- 4/5
Parking information was difficult to attain. We needed to request soap and towels. We also had to wait to get checked in and out of the hotel-not enough staff.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the river view. The hotel was nice and we liked the location. The hotel was a short walk away from the excitement of river street which was good since it was quiet. Parking seemed overpriced.
- 1.5/5
Beautiful location right by the riverwalk! The view alone makes it worth coming here—such a refreshing and enjoyable environment. Housekeeping was excellent, and I truly appreciated how clean and well-maintained my room was. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the front desk customer service. My stay was extremely inconvenient, as I had to change rooms three times. On the first night in Room 735, the bed had a large hole on one side, causing me to roll into it throughout the night and wake up with back pain. The next morning, I reported the issue to the front desk while I was on a tight schedule to attend a family tour. The manager confirmed the issue but then rushed me, giving me only five minutes to move to another room. I was reassigned to Room 635, but upon arrival, the room was extremely hot and the air conditioning was not working. An engineer was called, but the issue was not resolved in time, and I ended up missing my scheduled family tour. This was very frustrating. I requested another room and was finally moved to Room 320. While I was offered four breakfast vouchers and one day of free parking, I declined the parking since I did not have a vehicle. At checkout, I spoke with the manager, Mr. Lauro Montoya, but unfortunately, he appeared dismissive and uninterested in addressing my concerns. Overall, while housekeeping did a great job, the repeated room issues and lack of responsive customer service significantly impacted my stay.

First noticed when we parked in the garage and the outside trash was overflowing with trash on the ground. Our room was never serviced, we had to call to get fresh towels and coffee refills. Also, nobody ever took our trash (I have pictures of it all under the desk). Even the trash WE finally took to the vending room stayed there our whole stay.

We were driving down to Florida but realized we would arrive way too early since our Airbnb check in wasn’t until 3 PM the next day. Instead of driving through the night and getting there at 3 or 5 in the morning with nowhere to go, we decided to stop and make our first overnight stop in Savannah. We are so glad we did. Savannah is a beautiful city and the area around the hotel was great. The hotel itself was also beautiful and very well maintained. Everyone we encountered was kind, welcoming, and polite which made the stay even better. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable, which we definitely appreciated after a long drive. One thing we really liked was the parking. Having covered parking made us feel a lot more secure leaving our car there overnight. Overall it was a great stay and we would absolutely stay here again if we’re in the Savannah area. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival, the escalator was broken, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the lobby. We were greeted, signing in was a breeze, and then the room. I don't really understand why there are so many good reviews, unless some people just accept anything or any kind of living arrangements. My wife said the room had a musty smell. In the bathroom, there was a vent to take the moisture out, but it didn't work, no safe for your personals, underneath the work station, a board was falling down, we insisted on being put in another room, which smelled a little better. The bed was not comfortable at all; the sheets felt like rawhide. We ended up leaving early, it was our anniversary. Beware.

Beware.

The room needs to be renovated. Paint was peeling. Carpet needs to be replaced. The vents were extremely dusty and the air conditioning didn’t work properly. It was extremely warm in the room. Also $45.00 a day for self parking was a little OD.

They did not offer any complementary breakfast, and parking was expensive for the cost of a one night stay. Pillows were not good, and walls super thin, the guests next door were screaming and partying all night and it felt like they were in the room with us when were trying to sleep at 3 in the morning. Room was clean, only real plus.

The room was adequate and was way overpriced for what it should have been. There was a $45.00 per day parking fee which was assessed to "park on their property". There were also signs posted which suggested that they were not responsible for any theft to vehicles or damage, although they still charged $45.00 per day. Pretty rediculous as far as I was concerned. Why then was there a $45.00 fee. I had three charges on my credit card for $8.88 which did not show on their bill upon checkout, but appeared on my credit card. When I asked what they were for, I was told they would fall off in three to four days. Two have, there is still one remaining. They could not explain what the charges were for when asked. We stayed for three days and the stay was all right, but I would not consider it any different than any other hotel other than it was on the riverwalk, but all the way at the end and some distance to walk rather than being immediately accessible. Would I stay there again, probably not. I expected more for the money than what was provided.

Love this hotel. Have stayed there many times. However, this time the room we were given really needed some TLC. Bathroom needed several items repaired. Baseboards, towel racks, tile floor…we will definitely stay here again just hope the room next time will be the standard we have been used to.

Room was average, behind soap bottles was very nasty you could tell had not been removed and cleaned, toilet lid was not cleaned well, trim on wall corner of the bathroom was rusting. Hotel looks well kept from the outside and lobby but the room disappointed our expectations. Also we booked a river front room and was given a room over looking the parking lot. No big deal there but not what we was expecting.

Broken AC unit. when they fixed it, it still made a loud noise all night. There were roaches in our bathroom. No one cleaned our room for the entire stay….My wife left her wallet on the bed and when we drove back to get it everything was soaked. Worst stay at a Marriott ever.

- 5/5
The room was clean and very nice. We had a river view which was exciting to see all the huge boats coming through.
- 5/5
Excellent all over.
- 2/5
Room and staff were good. But 5:30-6am noise with a leaf blower and a garbage truck beeper going off is not a great way to wake up while on vacation.
- 1/5
Bathroom sink was stopped up. Had to pay $140.00 to stay at a place I already payed for. This was a rip off and I will never go back. who pays to park at a place where you just payed $850.00, never go back again.
- 4/5

- 3/5
We did not get the room we signed up for, no balcony on the river! We spoke with the manager and we only got the view of the river from a window on our 32 anniversary!

I wish I had better things to say, hotel looks nothing like advertised— please stay at the hyatt instead! We had mold in our bathroom and it was pretty gross when we arrived. The staff in the front desk was underwhelming. Disappointed with this stay.
- 5/5

My only complaint is about the $40 overnight parking fee that is practically unavoidable. Otherwise, everything was fine. We didn't have time for breakfast due to work schedule. Location is excellent.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful!
- 5/5
Perfect location and great food options and
- 5/5
Great staff the minute you walk in everybody’s ready to help you
- 3/5
The property was fine—essentially a standard hotel. However, the parking felt overpriced at $40 per night, Wi-Fi cost $20 per day even though it’s free at most hotels, and breakfast was not included. The bed was also not very comfortable considering the price of the room. Other than these issues, the stay was okay.
- 5/5
Great Location
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 2/5
TV stopped working…reported to front desk. Didn’t start working until it was time to check out.
- 3/5
The staff was fine, but the room had a bright light behind some kind of decortive wall behind the tv that you couldn't turn off. Very hard to sleep while a light is shining in your eyes. Also it was VERY noisy outside my room.
- 5/5
Great customer service.
- 3/5
Facility showed signs of wear & tear. Biggest issue was we reserved this trip through Expedia and then had to add an additional night. I did this through the hotel front desk over the phone but upon checking out found that the extra night was charged to my Expedia Reservation and the hotel charged me separately for the extra night. The Marriott has not returned our calls concerning the billing issue, I will be contacting Expedia and will also try again to talk with the Marriott. Great location and within walking distance to most attractions along the river walk.
- 5/5
Super nice
- 2/5
The concierge was great otherwise their attitude wasn’t great, no coffee or breakfast barely any tv and the window shade was broken so the light from the tacky lobby was seen all night. $40 for parking, really? It’s not NY!
- 4/5
Everything to do with the hotel was great. My problem is that Hotels.com misrepresented the room I booked. My wife and I wanted a room with a king bed and a balcony…. and that is what I booked on Hotels.com. When we checked in, there was NO BALCONY! The front desk pulled up the confirmation that was sent to them from Hotels.com and it only showed a booking for a room with a king bed. Even though I had screenshots to prove what I booked, it didn’t matter because that was not what Hotels.com sent. We were told that we are not the first people that this has happened too and was told not to use third party booking sites because they lie and misrepresent the room listings.

At the Marriott Savannah Riverfront the breakfast was not free but it was delicious and good options. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly. We did not go to the bar. But did do the coffee bar in the morning. It was great. The hotel was beautiful.
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly place to stay
- 3/5
Fun hotel and kid friendly. Rooms are a little outdated, but fairly clean. TV's are in need of updating. Male that checked us in was not very friendly and probably should not have been the first person you meet at the hotel.
- 5/5
Standard room. Right on the water so great location.
- 1/5
The door was so thin i could hear every single thing that happened in the hallway. Got woken up every time someone walked past my room from the noise. When the front desk clerk askes how my stay was and I said not good, they acted like they didnt even care. The food was oberpriced foe thw quality too.
- 5/5
Room was clean and check in was easy. The only staff we saw after checking in was the next morning at the coffee cafe and she was delightful.

Lovely hotel with a great riverfront location. Our room was large , had a sofa and a balcony that sat two people that overlooked the bar/restaurant. We really enjoyed the coffee bar and the breakfast buffet. Hotel was close enough to walk to The Pirate’s House, where we had dinner reservations.

We went for our honeymoon to Savannah, our room was very stuffy causing us to be quite congested the whole trip. Hot water in the room didn’t work, the walls were so thin we could hear one both neighbors escapades all hours. Very frustrating paying this kind of price to end up with such a disappointing room.
- 3/5
No me dieron el cuarto que me mostraron cuando hice la reserva. Era mucho más chico

Basic reliable Marriott!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay! Everything was perfect!! The view, the location, walking distance to attractions. We went for our anniversary and it was perfect time to relax and recharge.
- 3/5
It did the job for what we needed. Close to the river area and old Savannah which made it close to walk to most areas.
- 3/5
The room was subpar for what I'm used to at a Marriott. The staff however, was extremely courteous and accommodating.
- 3/5
Took a short trip to Savannah to celebrate our anniversary. Stayed at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront. I think $40 a night for self service parking is a bit much. Also, no microwave in room and only 3 small drawers for storage. The bed was comfortable. All in all, it was okay.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Clean facilities, great staff! Great location!
- 4/5

- 4/5
Great time
- 5/5
Everything was perfect but $40 a day to park for guests that are staying there ?
- 5/5
Great location and wonderful staff
- 3/5
They always up charge this weekend. The front staff even agreed with me because the weekend before we stayed it was $120 on a Friday night. The weekend i stayed was $380. They also don’t tell you that parking isn’t included in that price. It’s $40 a night. So keep that in mind when booking. The rooms are nice, but not worth the price by any means. The entire walkway outside the hotel is under construction so you can’t even really go outside and enjoy the riverwalk. At least not this year, end 2025. Just keep in mind if you’re booking remainder of the year. Oh, and breakfast has never been included. But this year we decided to try it. It’s $27 for a buffet of bare minimum. It was okay, but also not earth shattering for the price. Go out. Overall, this year I’m just disappointed to see all the upcharging happening. An almost $500 stay and it is not worth that in the least bit.

Room was clean loved the balcony view. Parking on site was a plus.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Great spot in the heart of Savannah.
- 3/5
Average room. Shower water temperature consistency was an issue. Huge air gap around the room door made security questionable. No vending machines on room floors was not convenient.
- 5/5
The room was very spacious. The environment was quiet enough. The staff were most helpful and informative especially the Concierge Chris, (I think that was his name.)
- 4/5
Great hotel right on the river. Staff was very friendly. Didnt have my exact room I booked so they gave me free parking to make up for it. I would stay here again.
- 2/5
For as much money we paid, we could have gone somewhere else.
- 2/5
Had to pay to park, pay for all meals, even a charge for morning cup of coffee if anyone waited on you, got tired of waiting and checked out. Misery at a price!
- 4/5
Loved the location though.
- 3/5

Magnolia Spa - massage therapist Johnnie is excellent!
- 4/5
Great stay. Front desk staff was great. Restaurant staff was great. Room lacked some amenities like lotion and shower cap.
- 2/5
Specific reasons I was disappointed was very poor soundproofing (we could hear people from adjacent rooms, the lobby, and outside as though the walls were paper thin. The wall would crash everytime a door opened or closed along our hallway, and the outlet in the bathroom had exposed wiring and was not secured correctly to the wall. There was an irritating high pitched buzzing sound whenever the bathroom light was on suggesting further electrical problems. They failed to fill the shower gel (soap) and we were out for the entirety
- 5/5
We had an amazing stay!
- 5/5
Nice hotel location. The Bellman supervisor was a huge wealth of local knowledge and we had a blast.
- 4/5
It was awesome - friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, fantastic continental breakfast. The only thing was we could hear the people in the room next to us. Fortunately hearing them and their tv didn't keep me awake. We had a very nice stay.

Staff was helpful and welcoming. Beds were soft and spotless
- 3/5
Very expensive, honestly, for the weekend we were there. Even though it was supposed to be discounted for the USMC Birthday Ball. Food and service were good, but very overpriced. Room was comfortable but needs better lighting. It was very dark and almost dull. Also, some of the furniture was in need of repair
- 3/5
We didn't have breakfast we left too early they checked in after driving 13 hours which I told the girl at the check-in she put us in a room on the second floor that was Extremely Loud. And we told them we were a Marriott Bonvoy
- 5/5
The property was really nice and clean and the staff was excellent. Great parking and great walk to festivities. The water view was beautiful
- 4/5

- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff.
- 1/5
I booked my trip through Expedia and when I got there the desk clerk charged 2full days of my room to my debit card holding the funds and I was then left short . They still have not resolved the issue but what upsets me is the clerk said she was only holding &50 for damage fee and with out my permission she held 618 of funds
- 3/5
Staff was good, hotel and specifically the room was very dated. Dirty appearance carpets, dirty grout on bathroom floor, shower had mildew, just didn’t feel clean.
- 4/5
Nice hotel; clean and convenient to all of the attractions
- 5/5
The property was clean and the staff were professional and friendly.
- 4/5
Nice room, nice staff
- 5/5
Excellent overall
- 3/5
Just wasn’t a good fit
- 4/5
My eggs benedict was over cooked. We had trouble with the lock on the door. The mechanisms didn’t work. I reported it the night we got there but it was not fixed before we left. The housekeepers were in our room while we were at breakfast before we checked out. They took my property and were arguing with me about getting it back. That pretty much ruined my stay.
- 5/5
Staff was great! Room and location perfect!
- 4/5
It was a good stay, thanks.
- 5/5
I did not check the Bar. The Breakfast Bar was excellent with a variety of food options. Our Waitress was very nice and friendly. We had a great experience staying at Marriot Savanna Riverfront. Beautiful Riverfront walkway.
- 3/5
I booked thru Expedia where the room i selected stated that I would have a balcony. When i arrived at the location the hotel wanted to put me in a regular room on the bottom floor, no balcony and no river view. The hotel stated that they didn't get the balcony information and didn't have a river view available. The hotel also advised me that going through a third party site, like Expedia, will give you misleading information. I was very frustrated about the situation.
- 5/5
nice hotel! loved the balcony
- 2/5
The WiFi was awful, could not get decent service. The pool leaves much to be desired from such an expensive hotel.
- 4/5

- 5/5
The hotel was very nice and the restaurant and service was great
- 5/5
The building is beautiful as well as our view. The parking was strange and way over priced.

- 4/5
Excellent staff. Pizza was overcook and hard. Would like to experience more next time
- 5/5
Loved the food and drinks served by an excellant staff. We evidently missed out on the free breakfast.
- 5/5
Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Walkable to River Street and historic district. East on-site parking. Good restaurant options on site, though rather pricey.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, staff was nice, bar was great but spent over $300.00 per night and additional $40.00 a day to park and wasn’t offered a free breakfast with our stay?????
- 5/5
Met up with old high school sweetheart.
- 5/5
Everyone was very professional and friendly!
- 2/5
I was given a handicap room which I did not request, the room was hot, the sink water was cold, and I woke up to bugs crawling all over the counter under the tv.
- 4/5
Beautiful property. Very accommodating staff.
- 5/5
The service was excellent, especially from the bartenders.
- 2/5
Paying over $1,000 for two nights for 2 rooms, I expected to have coffee in the lobby available, or lemon, cucumber water in lobby, a microwave in the rooms. It was way too expensive for us to eat there. I usually stay at the Embassy Suites and will continue to do so for other trips. $40 a night to park a car and we had two!!!
- 5/5
Great service. Great people!
- 1/5
We cancelled our reservation and packed up and moved elsewhere. Suite with a kitchen, free coffee and breakfast and laundry. All of this for far less than half the cost of the Marriott
- 4/5
Excellent staff. Bellman, Nick, was extraordinary from the moment we arrived to check in. My husband is disabled and he went the extra mile to ensure that we were accommodated. My reservation request was for a handicap accessible room with a walk-in shower. I asked for confirmation three times during check in. When we got to the room, it was a bathtub, so we had to be reassigned to a different room. Nick stayed with us during the entire ordeal to make sure we got the appropriate room as requested. Once we got that situated, the rest of the service was good.
- 5/5
awesome view
- 4/5
Rooms were clean & well kept. The a/c didn't seem to work well at all - thermostat went down to 60 but the room felt hot & stale. The beds are very soft & not very supportive. As someone with a bad back, this didn't work for me but my kids loved it. The shower cycled through lukewarm & mildly hot water at the hottest setting. Other than that, the front desk people were wonderful & the lounge was nice to have.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and staff was very friendly and helpful with questions
- 5/5
Great large room very clean and the staff were wonderful!
- 5/5
The manager Tony made us feel very special on our anniversary and made sure we got a special treat in our room. Talked to us regarding the best places to eat and visit! The hotel was very clean and staff very nice!! We will be back!
- 5/5
It is better to get 2 single drinks than 1 double you will get 1 oz more liquor
- 5/5
Right on the river.
- 5/5
One night. Well maintained
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
It was great but unfortunately there was a roach we found on the last night of our stay I emptied my suitcase so fast and shook everything out but overall it was a beautiful stay
- 5/5
Anytime I have stayed at this Marriott, parking and check-in was very easy. Staff is very welcoming and room is clean and comfortable. It is also a great view of the river and easy walking to River Street but far enough to be quiet right around hotel.
- 4/5
This was a decent property, and in a wonderful location. The $40/night parking was not worth it, especially since you can just get a ticket and drive out because the bar was never down.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff
- 5/5

We had a locking adjoining door . We could hear every conversation going on .
- 5/5
Clean smell good
- 2/5
We got the king room. It smells musty and bad. Carpets need to be changed. The hotel does not have its known standard any longer.
- 5/5
Johnnie, the spa manager was absolutely delightful and made sure I was comfortable and satisfied with my experience. Tanner was my masseuse, wonderful and understanding of pressure preference. The bar staff was friendly, I had a wonderful lunch and dinner. Front of desk staff ensured that I was accommodated appropriately for what I purchased through Expedia when it did not match what was booked. Friendly when the discrepancy was brought up and handled it immediately. Every member of staff that I encountered was friendly, welcoming and warm. I will be returning again! Beautiful views and wonderful southern hospitality!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay and the area!

Loud people in the hallway, slamming doors. Construction right next door. Not worth the cost.

During our first night, a hotel employee knocked on the door at 1:00 am for like 5 minutes, just to ask if we ordered extra trash bags. Both these situations made it difficult to sleep. However the hotel itself and facilities were very nice and clean.
- 4/5
Cost for parking was ridiculous. The noise and detours from nearby construction adversely impacted my time spent in my room and on the hotel patios.
- 5/5
Good environment, clean, and quiet.
- 3/5
Housekeeping, room service, bartender, valet and barista were very friendly and professional. Other staff walking around very helpful and friendly. The female registrar in the AM was very unpleasant. The room bathrooms were gross, rusty doorframes, sink water took 10 min to heat up, broken floor tile that rocked, made noise and I cut my foot on. Commons area very clean and inviting.
- 3/5
Great area for getting around and parking ramp is great for getting in and out.
- 3/5
I got a room with a balcony, no ware did is say indoor balcony and not a river view balcony that was the only reason I wanted to stay there for a river view balcony. Also parking was 40 dollars a day. As much as the room cost parking should have been free.

Foof was included in my booking and it turn out to be not
- 4/5
Would definitely stay again!

Unfairness as another guest grabbed water and not bill yet knowingly she charged us also not even one bottle of water in the room other location provide at least one bottle of water for free

The hotel was terrible. It was cold each of the three ddys. There was no hot water or heat. It was expensive for nothing
- 5/5
Staff outstanding, especially Nick, lobby staff who went out of his way to help.

Beautiful property very close to the historic district

Nickel and dime on their charges. Could not use our balcony due to A/C vent outside blowing cold air on us the whole time.
- 4/5
Didn’t like my view of air vents and hotel rooftop
- 5/5
Everyone was wonderful here! The staff was top tier especially Jane! She went out of her way to make our anniversary trip one to remember. Highly recommend Marriot.

Beautiful, clean, rooms. Terri, who checked us in was wonderful. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice stay
- 5/5
Everything was outstanding my only problem is that I had to pay to park on the property in which I was staying.
- 5/5
Great location and clean, comfortable rooms

Atrium is an excellent restaurant.

Parking is $40/day. This hotel also does not include complimentary breakfast — but they “offer” it (go anywhere else). Internet is also $13/day. So on top of the $300+ bill you need to budget for $60+ a day for your vehicle and Internet. We went to the rooftop bar next door at Homewood Suites. For that area alone and the complimentary breakfast, we will stay there next time.

We had a great stay

The beautiful riverfront sunrises and the calming waters were nothing short of fabulous!

Close to river front so we were able to walk easily to everything.

Room was extremely clean and the hotel was accessible to restaurants and historical sites.
- 5/5
I liked everything, except for the construction at the river walk entrance
- 4/5
Time to do some renovations in the room. Update paint, new carpet, new shower pan.
- 5/5
Everything was great!!
- 4/5
Wish it had indoor pool/hot tub. Only outdoor which I never figured out how to even access. No free water dispensers in lobby for guests.
- 4/5
Property does charge you $40 a day for parking which I think is very expensive since you are already paying to be a guest there. That only negative thing I can say
- 5/5
Convenient location and easy parking made our one night stay a pleasant experience. We

$40 per night for parking. ☝️ However, very quiet. Direct view of the river. Convenient seating for the view. Outstanding crab cakes and broccolini. Beautiful rainfall shower. Standard, superior Marriott bed linens. Spa on site. Quiet hours after 10 pm. The perfect place to get away and just breathe.
- 5/5
The facility was fantastic the staff was remarkable i really loved the amenities location was close to everything of interest i well be staying there in my return visit to Savannah

Having to pay for parking at a hotel you paid to stay at is not ideal. The hotel was beautiful. Our room didnt get dark enough. Too much light coming in windows from courtyard. Staff was very friendly. Construction outside hotel.

The staff were not friendly

The staff are all excellent. Very professional and friendly. The concierge was wonderful!

The $40 parking charge was a surprise.
- 5/5
The location and the cleanliness of the hotel.
- 3/5
Rooms need microwave instead of having to leave and use the sole one in lobby
- 4/5
It is a beautiful hotel but beginning to show some age. The location is perfect on the river front. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
- 4/5
A free coffee station in the lobby would’ve been a nice touch. The parking at $40 a day was a bit excessive, overall I would recommend, and I would return for another stay.
- 4/5
Clean sharp interior.
- 3/5
Our room had a strange smell
- 5/5
Liked the atmosphere. Hated the high cost of parking.
- 2/5
We stay in a lot of hotels and by far. This was one of the worst stays we’ve had in a while. The room had a very bad order that we believe came from the Carpet. When we told the front desk, they never got back with us to even ask if we wanted to change rooms. Will not be staying with them again.
- 5/5
Very nice amenities.
- 5/5
Vinci took great care of us in the dining room.
