Reviews
Guests generally enjoyed their stay at the hotel, praising the location, breakfast, and friendly staff. However, there were several recurring complaints about the slow or malfunctioning elevators, lack of hot water, and high valet parking fees. Some guests also reported issues with cleanliness in the rooms and bathrooms.
- Convenient location near River Walk and historic district
- Friendly and attentive staff, particularly at breakfast
- Slow or malfunctioning elevators causing long waits
- High valet parking fees ($45/night)

Had everything you could want! The original room we stayed in was next to a storage closet, so we heard slamming and banging in the wee hours of the morning from the staff, but they did relocate us next day when we asked to change rooms.
- 4/5
Overall the stay was good. The only issue I had was the air conditioning unit in the room. While I get that condensation happens, the unit created a puddle beneath it approximately 3 feet in diameter. This caused the room to be extremely humid which made the room, bed, clothes, etc feel damp. I informed the front desk when I arrived at the property, nothing was done. I advised maintenance directly, nothing was done. So I had to deal with that for the week I was there. Other than that, the property was conveniently located, the breakfast was good, and the staff was nice.
- 3/5
Staff was wonderful, breakfast was delicious, parking was easy the only problem was the cleaning could have been better. The floor definitely needed to be vacuumed as there was hair and snacks on the floor when we walked in and bathroom wasn’t very clean either. Other than that, our stay was great. Very neat hotel!

Parking was crazy price. real turn off to a wonderful holiday.

Wasn’t happy with check in receptionist tried to give me a different room but I paid for a river view also I’m a Hilton honors member wasn’t acknowledged at all didn’t receive welcome bag and also digital key wouldn’t work for us but our friends had no issue
- 4.5/5
Nice, clean and comfy room. During our stay, one of the elevators was out of order, and waiting for the next one was a waste of time, so we preferred to take the stairs; unfortunately, they were located far away at the other end of the hallway.

The location is fantastic and the lobby is beautiful. Breakfast was decent, waffles are always a hit. The elevators were both broken while we were there which wasn’t a huge problem except when we had our luggage, but we checked into our room which was great but the AC was broken and stunk really bad, so we had to be moved to another room. Unfortunately they moved us to a much smaller Pet friendly room, but we didn’t realize it until we came back from our event later in the evening and they said they didn’t have anything else and my son and I have allergies and we couldn’t breathe through our noses during the stay. It would have been nice to have been asked if a pet friendly room was ok.
- 1/5
This time we were disappointed. The room was dirty. There were lots of hair all over the floor, in the bathroom and even the bed sheets. They don’t seem to vacuum the floors. The hotel needs to spend more resources on cleaning.

Only stayed one night but excellent hotel. Good breakfast, clean comfortable room, very friendly staff. No problems. Overnight parking is expensive.
- 5/5
This is a great location, central to thr riverfront/historic area. We could easily walk to Forsyth Square (about 15-18 minutes) or River Street (3-4 minutes). The beds were comfy, the property was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed that we could bring our dog with us! Breakfast was good and there was plenty of space for everyone to eat.

Conveniently located to everything nearby. The hallways were hot and stuff and our room’s A/C seemed to cut off/on when we would come and go from our room.

- 5/5
Great service from the staff. Very happy with how helpful they were. Everything was clean, breakfast was great. Will definitely visit again.
- 3/5
First, don’t pay their overpriced valet parking for $48 ($78 if you have a larger vehicle) a day when the city garage is next door for $20 a day. Second, we had numerous issues with our room including: the smoke detector battery alarm going off several days, no body wash, no toilet paper, the local tv not working, the elevators were very hot, the shower drain being clogged, and having to request to have our room cleaned once during our 4 nights. This was my first time staying at a Hilton owned facility, and overall I was not impressed at all. The breakfast was decent and the location was great, but the service and facility needs improved.

The staff was friendly. The location is right by the river front. The shower is very nice, high pressure and hot water. The tv screen is quite large and there were live tv and streaming options. The A/C unit in the room was so loud we couldn’t sleep. It was like trying to sleep on a loud airplane. Absolutely unacceptably loud. I went out and bought earplugs to try to sleep but even with them in it was too loud to do so. I would expect that from a cheap hotel, but not one that cost over $300/night. Also ridiculous is the $48/day valet parking they try to rope you in to when there is a parking garage directly across the street that we parked at for $14 for our entire stay.

Very nice hotel - room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Usual toiletries were supplied in generous amounts. Parking is expensive - over and above what you’re already paying for the room - but fortunately, hotel is within walking distance to many sites, shops, and restaurants.

We enjoyed each days free breakfast which had a large selection of choices but the best part was that this place is located so that we could walk to most sites. I was with four other people and we all enjoyed our 3 day stay.
- 4/5
Great location, great rooftop view from pool area, helpful to buy tickets on site for bus tour, good valet service - however, likely because we did not book directly through hotel - we were placed in a room with a window mostly hidden by a large noisy air conditioner - somewhat OK as we could only view a dirty alley. At 600 am we were awoken to very loud, continuous banging of garbage pick up trucks outside our window despite being on 7th floor. Great place but make sure you ask for a room on the street side - even as busy as that may be.

Really ideal spot for visiting Savannah and so close to River Street. The room was beautiful and huge very comfortable bed. Good large breakfast for an included one and the valet was perfect too. Very friendly staff. Only comment I’d add and it’s a really insignificant one is the iron and ironing board in my room specifically were on their last legs- hot iron falling off because the board legs were so wonky. Easy fix to replace them.
- 5/5
Very nice friendly hotel. Definitely will return.

Bathtub quite slick, grab bar may be in the wrong place, but we had two rooms and we both raised that issue. I know they were renovated 2 years ago, but no anti slip precautions like strips were installed. No rubber mat in the room.

Everything was great, including the hot breakfast. Valet parking was fine but expensive. You could find cheaper parking off site, but we went for the no-hassle option and even at $48/night we thought it was worth it. Classy hotel pretty much in the middle of everything. We stayed three nights and would go back again.

- 3.5/5
It would have been a better stay if you did not stop your breakfast so early. Your breakfast is from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. usually when people are on vacation they are not waking up at 6:00 a.m. they're usually just waking up at 9:00 a.m. I think that's a little ridiculous.

I’m not happy with the condition of the bed. NOT BAD BUGS. But I did find a one live and one dead bug in the bed and the mattress car was covered with hair. I asked for a clean bedding and they were quick too . There was no conditioner in the shower. Facing E. Bay St. in Savannah on the third floor wasn’t very noisy. The breakfast was very good though.
- 3/5
Hot breakfast was good. Buffet of eggs, sausage, grits, waffles, etc..
- 3/5
Doom was clean. Valets were very friendly and helpful. Desk staff on checking in were cold and all business. Checking out they didn’t even acknowledge me. Breakfast was very subpar for a Hampton. Both in selection and quality.
- 5/5
Great location. Beautiful roof top view of the river. Most of the people at front desk are very nice and helpful. Parking is expensive. But that’s to be expected in the city. The pool is too cold it should be heated. And the breakfast wasn’t great. It’s been better in the past.

The room was okay. The hotel's policy is to service a room only every third day. Since our stay was 5 nights, that meant that the room would only be serviced once. I had to request additional servicing and additional towels. Was not told of this at check-in. Also breakfast hours had changed to 6 to 9 a.m. instead of to 10 a.m. 7 days a week. Found out when I went to breakfast at 9:10 am the day after I arrived. On the plus side, the hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and historic buildings.

We had no hot water, and although the hotel staff was courteous, I never heard a single apology, all I wanted to hear was ‘I’m sorry, we will get maintenance there as soon as possible, what can we do to make your stay more comfortable?’ And I am also polite, I do not get angry, I know the staff is not responsible for the water, but they are responsible for the guests comfort.

The valet damaged our vehicle and have refused to take responsibility for the damage. None of the valets had visible name tags due to the cold weather. They should all be required to wear it on their jackets as well since we dealt with at least 3 valets from the time we arrived at the property. When we leaving the morning of 12/23/25 and discovered the damage , it was pointed out to the valet attendant and he took multiple pictures of the damage and stated the manager would contact us in an hour which never happened. We had to call the hotel the next day and wait for a phone call back. On 12/24/25 , Darnell Thomas called us back and claimed he was unaware of the incident and needed photos of the damage and he would call us back. The morning of 12/26/25 Darnell texted my husband and asked if he could call him at 3 pm that day to discuss the incident and we responded “Sure” and we did not hear back from him until 12/28/25. They denied our claim stating there are no other claims of damage reported . The valet took the claim ticket when we were leaving so I do not have the rights and responsibility information regarding ours and theirs but I do have our ticket number. We stayed less than 24 hours and this was the result. I would not recommend using the valet. It should be stated on all sites that there is public parking across the alley way from the hotel. You’re better off taking a risk.

The check-in was hectic as the cars that were arriving was bottle necked and no space so it was very inconvenient. The registration clerk, Marie , was a bit dismissive and not friendly. Valet parking is $48/night and the staff are friendly.Around 1 am- 5 am, we kept hearing a loud thud , not knowing what it was, woke us up. The traffic noise and the slamming of the doors were jarring. That morning, I provided feedback to the front desk about the noise and she didn’t care and didn’t even acknowledge the inconvenience of being woke up. The ice machine on the 2nd floor did not work. When I reported it, I was told, “we know”… not even an apology for the inconvenience. This is a pet friendly hotel so there are a lot of dogs, some not so well behaved. Breakfast is subpar, the coffee is weak. On a positive note, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower did not have hot water, it was barely warm.I think the customer service fell short of what I’ve experienced in other Hampton Inn’s throughout my many travels.

The hotel and room were very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very nice free breakfast. I would suggest parking across the street in the garage (it's much cheaper to leave your car there for the daily rate than valet parking). This hotel is in a fabulous location. Only one block from the Lucas Theatre and Broughton Street. Highly recommended!

The Hampton Inn Historic District by the riverfront is the perfect location to enjoy Savannah. A river view room is on the upper level of the building so it’s quiet and up off the busy Bay Street. Marie at the front desk is so kind, helpful, and polite am Malachi in valet is the absolute sweetest gentleman! Thank you for helping our Christmas to be that much brighter!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Recommend a great spot to watch the christmas parade. Kids loved the waffels, i appreciated the healthier option of the egg white fritatta. Family loved the room, clean, "cool vanity mirror." Husband liked the tv size. Close to the restaurant and church we went to. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed at the hotel for over a long weekend and really liked the convenience of the location. Walkable to restaurants, shops and the riverfront. The price was decent for a weekend in December, plus it included breakfast. Although, I do think the breakfast was not very fresh and some items tasted like they were either sitting out or stale. It could have been better but again, its nice to have the option included. The hotel itself was very clean, and spacious. The lobby was decorated nicely for the holidays and the staff was very friendly. The only issue we had was that there was only 1 working elevator that weekend so just had some extra long wait times but other than that it was a pleasant stay. Valet Parking onsite is pricey, but we opted for a parking garage nearby to save and it worked out fine. I would still recommend this hotel especially for its location.

A/c was not cooling fan would not stay on informed front desk . Offered to move room . Same issues breakfast tasted as from a bag put in a microwave. Turkey sausage was awful. Dogs barking in hotel and dog crap not cleaned up outside of hotel. Smelled terrible outside.

Me and my spouse always stay at bay strret hampton inn in savannah georgia. We wanted to celebrate the hoilday and my birthday day in savannah this year. I love not only location the staff here is outstanding with customer service.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The hotel itself was amazing. Be prepared to pay $48 a night to park your vehicle though. Ouch! The staff were extremely helpful, valet parkers very sweet, and the location was perfect. The ONLY downfall was that it is located next to a soup kitchen, so the number of homeless people outside the property is very high. It felt a little unsafe walking my dog after hours. No fault of the hotels though.
- 4/5
helpful staff. Surprised that it was $48 for the valet. But everything else was just great.
- 5/5
Staff was welcoming
- 5/5
Breakfast was well stocked and lobby as well as breakfast area seating really comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was spotless upon check in. We loved that we could always get a fresh cup of coffee or tea in the lobby. The free breakfast every morning was a plus, too. The concierge in the lobby was very helpful
- 1/5
Nothing worked in the room, from power outlets to telephone. Bathroom knob was broken, and cabinet was rusty. We got no help or support from staff. Whatever I told them fell on deaf ears. On top of that, we were charged twice for parking. Terrible hotel—and hotel staff.
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
Kind & helpful staff on arrival.
- 3/5
Staff courteous, friendly and helpful. Building very noisy, doors slamming loudly late at night, you can hear the elevator in the room though it is 3 rooms away. In the bathroom, conditioner fell off the wall, bottles misplaced, no ventilation. Room too small and not well managed, way below our expectations of a Hilton establishment.
- 5/5
The staff here by is so kind and courteous. They have someone in the lobby selling trolley tickets and the stop is right outside the door. It’s across from the River street shops and a few blocks from the Market area. The location just can’t be beat. There is a parking garage just right across the street if you don’t need valet service. We have a pickup truck and there was room on the top floor for it without a problem. The beds and bedding and pillows were so very comfortable. I was extremely pleased with the location, service and comfort, especially at this price point. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. I struggled with the room’s overall condition and the lack of daily room servicing.
- 5/5
Room was good and very spacious, perfect location.
- 5/5
Great hotel, helpful staff, wonderfully convenient location.
- 5/5
Great location and beautiful hotel lobby. The rooms were clean amd the bed very comfortable. The staff were definitely helpful and professional. They recommended some restaurants, etc. The valet parking employees were also helpful and curteous.

- 5/5
Great experience
- 4/5
Started with a clean room. No service for 3 days except a knock on the door from staff that spoke very little English. Bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was terrible.
- 5/5
Always love this hotel the location is spot on. Had a wonderful time celebrating my anniversary. Would recommend this to anyone.
- 5/5
This hotel is wonderful, and in a great location. You walk across the street, down a few stairs, and you’re at the Riverfront. Walk out the hotel front door, and a few steps to the left is a Savannah Trolley stop. What could be more convenient? The room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast provided a nice selection of foods, and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. I highly recommend this property, and would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Great location and amenities!
- 5/5
We liked having the public parking garage Nextdoor so we didn’t have to valet not to mention it was MUCH less expensive. Only problem was getting a cart to unload the car. I think they shared carts with another hotel across the street.
- 5/5
Breakfast was just ok. Only ate it one day.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lobby and breakfast area were clean. The only comfortable seating was in the breakfast area. The seating in the lobby was very uncomfortable. The room had a sofa bed and it was impossible to get comfortable on it. The chair at the desk was terrible. The room was nice size, but one half of it was terribly dark. There was no lamp or light that would make things a lot much better access. The bed was very comfortable. Not the most comfortable hotel to stay at. I wouldn’t come back.
- 3/5
$48 a day for parking!!!! Outrageous. Never again.
- 4/5
Great place to stay. Trolley stop right outside the door. Close to restaurants and shopping. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Concierge was helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was great. The room was clean and the service was excellent. I just wish the pool was heated, but I understand that is costly.

- 5/5
The room was clean and a good size. The tv did not work very well however. Loved the location of the hotel. It was within walking distance to many stores and restaurants. The hotels rooftop pool was clean and had a great view. The breakfast was great.
- 5/5
Staff were welcoming, accommodating. Hotel is pet friendly, beautiful hotel, and surrounding area, in the middle of historic district. Much to do restaurants, shopping, tours.
- 4/5
Spent our honeymoon weekend here! Great value!
- 5/5
Great pet-friendly stay! Hampton Inn is a great option in the Historic District of Savannah! Downtown is so walkable so you can park once and leave it til checkout! Room was lovely with a big tv & a great shower, fitness room was well outfitted, staff was wonderful and daily breakfasts were tasty! Luxury without the high price tag! Well done Hampton!
- 4/5
Clean room. Comfortable bed. Air conditioner is too loud. Parking is expensive but there is a garage across the street that is cheaper. For the money paid, should be able to get free water in the room.
- 4/5
Great location with ease of walking to popular sites.
- 5/5
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
- 4/5
Great location and very friendly staff. Only complaint was that there weren’t any luggage carts to help with luggage. Only had one cart and was being shared with hotel across the street! When everyone was checking out it was VERY inconvenient. They should invest in more to improve customer service!
- 5/5
The location is great. The room is very nice. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff and front desk staff were all great!
- 4/5
Right in the center of historic district! Everything was within walkable distance, loved that! Staff was very accommodating! Our room, specially the shower / bathroom was not that clean even after the maid came 2 days into our stay. Breakfast was included which was a plus.
- 5/5
We arrived the staff was friendly, helpful. We had a group of five. They gave us connecting rooms. Both rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great the attendants were super friendly and helpful. The pool on the roof was nice place to cool off and perfect place to overlook the river. The hotel is conveniently located right across from River walk and shopping. Definitely will be back.
- 5/5
Staff and very clean and nice
- 5/5
Breakfast was hot and enough to find good choices. Staff was excellent. Shopped all around the city.
- 3/5
The breakfast was awful, we have stayed at many Hampton Inn over the years. This was a poor excuse for breakfast, omelette was like rubber, potatoes were dried out, waffle batter was sour, like it was old or not refrigerated. Toaster took forever to toast a slice of bread. Usually other Inns has fresh cut fruit, this one had apples and over ripe bananas. Only one elevator worked the entire visit. $48 to park the car was outrageous.
- 5/5
BREAKFAST

Location was great, walkable, trolley stop was right there.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and staff. Excellent location!
- 5/5
Nice room, comfortable hotel, good view of the river from the rooftop pool area
- 4/5
Beautiful neat hotel. It could have better breakfast. And it needs a bit better air circulation in the room. AC was fine but no fresh air could get to the room since windows could not be opened.
- 4/5
Breakfast and roof top pool.
- 4/5
Centrally located to waterfront, restaurants and shopping, Clean property with very welcoming staff
- 5/5
Valet parking is quite expensive but there is a public parking garage right across the street. Will stay here again
- 4/5
This hotel is very nice. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Only problem we had was we traveled with our grandkids and needed adjoining rooms and the connecting door was bolted shut. And also the fire alarm woke us up two nights in a row at 2:30 in the morning. Other than that it was a great hotel.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff. We did have air conditioning problems but they were very attentive and even brought as a fan until it could be replaced the next day.
- 5/5
What stands out the most was the staff and their friendliness and were helpful, hospitable, and made our stay enjoyable
- 5/5
We had the opportunity to visit the wonderful historic city of Savannah and spend one night in the cozy Hampton Inn hotel . We liked everything: polite staff, fast service, clean rooms, delicious and varied breakfast dishes. Good impressions will remain with us forever. I recommend this place ❤️
- 5/5
Need to have safes in the room. Also need have recycling!!!!!!!! Parking cost was very unreasonable but there was a public garage across the street.
- 2/5
Ie: Phone Hot water TV Inadequate response by staff I have stayed at Hampton Inns dozens of times and first poor experience
- 5/5
Great area and very hospitable hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent location one block from river. So many things to do and numerous restaurants in area. Hotel could use slight remodeling but all in all we are very pleased.
- 5/5
Central location and right next to a parking garage
- 5/5
Great location and service . Very clean and great walking distance to do many restaurants and shops
- 5/5
Would Highly recommend for your next stay. Connie in the restaurant was the BEST!
- 3/5
The hotel itself was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and polite. The valet only parking was ridiculous and would have been $78 a night for my SUV. Parking was extremely tight across street in public paid garage at $25 a night for parking.
- 5/5
It was closer to the river area, shops, tour trolleys and dining facilities. What I Didn't like was my view was obscured by trees from my window.
- 3/5
Did not like the bathroom
- 5/5
Great area, nice room, friendly staff! Only complain was an uncomfortable bed. Would stay again.
- 5/5
The kids enjoyed the pool which had a great view. Our room faced E Bay Street, so some might say it was a bit noisy on a weekend night, but this really wasn’t a major issue for us.
- 4/5
Over we did enjoy our stay while visiting Savannah. We found the staff to be very helpful, kind, and accommodating. This property was in a perfect area in downtown Savannah. My only critique would be the cleanliness of my room, it was not bad but the shower was stained and the bathroom could have used a deeper clean. Regardless it was a great visit!
- 5/5
Comfortable beds, nice staff, clean. Good breakfast.
- 5/5
Cost for valet parking was so high
- 4/5
Nice hotel. Refreshed, new paint, clean. Really nice decor. The rooms have crown molding, nice touch. Staff was great, we used the valet, they were great. Nice convenient area close to everything. Great stay.
- 5/5
Room was impeccable and the location is amazing.
- 4/5
Sad the pool wasn’t open.
- 5/5
The hotel itself had a lot of charm, blending modern comfort with touches of local character. My room was clean, quiet, and cozy—perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly and welcoming and check-in was smooth. If you’re looking for a convenient, comfortable place to stay while soaking in all that Savannah has to offer, I’d definitely recommend this spot.
- 5/5
Everything was good - clean, beds were comfortable, staff, breakfast, coffee, pool were all good, the only issue was the tub did not drain well.
- 2/5
We stayed at this location in December and truly enjoyed our stay so decided to come back in July and it was the worst experience! Our room was dirty and smelled of dog…smoke alarm went off in the early morning!!! Manager on duty was not helpful at all, came up to our room and sprayed air freshener to help with the smell! We will try a different hotel next time we come to Savannah!
- 4/5
Very clean! Breakfast variety was nice. The big wooden doors for the rooms are heavy and loud and difficult to open/close.
- 4/5
Amenities, convenient to everything, clean and great Valet staff. Minor issues such as having to ask for the room to be cleaned and having to ask multiple times for pool towels to be replenished.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and made sure everything was so good. Even went above and beyond to make sure our 90 year old uncle was taken care of and even made us drinks in the lobby without having a bartender. I def recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff at the valet parking were so helpful and outgoing and once again made sure to help us get our uncle around town bc he can’t walk to much. Def will go back!!!!
- 3/5
The property was nice, No self parking only Valet parking prices were to high. The Fire alarm went off twice at 2:35 am and had to wait for them to let us back around 3.30 .
- 2/5
Every night we were there the fire alarm went off at 2:30 in the morning. Seems to be a recurring problem and nothing is being done about it. The location is great, breakfast is good, but if you can’t sleep at a hotel that’s a fundamental problem.
- 2/5
It was extremely disappointing. We tried to check in at 3:05 PM when check in is clearly at 3:00 PM. I did not receive a call until 3:41 that my room was available. Secondly, the fire alarm went off at 2:45 AM for about 5 minutes. Obviously, not the fault of the hotel, but checking in late was a bit ridiculous when I am paying full price, but not getting my room for the full time promised.
- 5/5
We were in Savannah for two days as part of our family vacation. The hotel is very convenient to walking to River Street and the surrounding historical grounds. We did the Ghost Tour Pub Crawl by Cobblestone and would NOT do that again! The breakfast at the hotel is amazing and plenty of room to sit and enjoy.
- 5/5
Liked this property was on Bay Street and one street away from Rivers Street where most food places were.
- 2/5
Door lock didn’t work which kept us in the hall while maintenance worked on the lock then when we got in we couldn’t get out until it was fixed. Tub wouldn’t drain and black stuff around the tub drain caused some dirty looking residue to come off. The maintenance crew then came to clear the drain. A woman who was with the maintenance crew advised us she would adjust our bill and then the manager refused after we checked out. There were bugs all over the coffee machines in the lobby when we went down for breakfast.
- 4/5
Let me start off by saying the staff was absolutely wonderful! They were polite, friendly and professional. The location was excellent! We parked and didn’t need to move our car again until it was time to head home because everything we wanted to do was walkable. My biggest complaint was the condition of the room. There were no towels when we got there (I stopped a member of housekeeping who was able to give me some). There was also hair in the sink and shower - yuck! The room was pretty clean but the age of the hotel definitely showed in the room: paint was chipping and the door in the bathroom was rusted and didn’t close all the way without forcing it. I wouldn’t mind staying here again if in Savannah but I hope I get a better room.
- 5/5
Valet parking only, but they do tell you about the ramp across the street. Pool was cool and quiet. Bernard was amazing.
- 4/5
Very nice property.
- 5/5
Staff super friendly, Stephan at the bar was awesome!
- 5/5
Excellent property!
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
Right across the street from River street, hotel has a pool and a bar which was lovely. Staff was very friendly and the room had plenty of space for my husband, daughter, and my service animal.
- 5/5
We had a fantastic stay at the Hampton Inn. It’s in a great location, the staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations, the beds (and pillows) were super comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had! I would recommend this hotel without reservation.
- 3/5
We had an incident that the elevators went out, so be prepared just in case. The pool was closed for maintenance one day so we had to use the Holiday Inn pool, which is very inconvenient. there was no pool towels at the pool when it was open so you had to ask once again.. A breakfast was OK might need more waffle makers there was always a big line. Matthew was air conditioner units and construction STEFAN bartender was one of the best
- 5/5
It started with a very friendly Maria at the front desk
- 1/5
Our stay was terrible. In our first room, AC didn’t work, light in bathroom didn’t work, USB ports and outlet by the bed didn’t work. Manager finally moved us to another room. In the second room, we found a blood spot on the sheet right before bed. Manager came up and had the bedding changed. The next morning, we woke up to the AC unit leaking all night and a third of the floor in our room wet. Notified management and they said they would fix the issue. We arrive back at the room that afternoon with industrial fans in our room (no offer from management to move us to another room). Fans stayed until we called management to have them removed so we could sleep. We were told the issue with the leak was fixed. We woke up the next morning to another wet floor from the same leaking AC unit. Management said the would comp us one night for a future stay at a Hilton property. With all the problems we encountered, I would have expected both nights to be comped, but manager said she could only do one. As of now, I have yet to receive even the 1 night comp. This was by far and away the worst hotel experience my family has ever had. I would NOT ever recommend staying at this property.
- 5/5
Great location where you can walk to River Street to other popular sites.
- 1/5
The room was very dirty. The floor had crumbs and dirt everywhere. The shower floor needed to be scrubbed and the pull out sofa had tons of dirt, dust, food wrappers, phone charger and mattress was covered in mold. We took pictures and spoke to front desk who agreed with us and apologized sincerely and we were able to leave and will receive a full refund.
- 5/5
Staff at free morning breakfast were very friendly and accommodating. They cleaned continuously. Beds were super comfortable.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious rooms with easy walking and parking
- 4/5
Shower is very narrow.
- 5/5
Great pet friendly hotel
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 4/5
PROS: Quiet, in a decent location and very friendly staff. Room was pretty clean but starting to show a little wear and tear. CONS: Breakfast is very average and they only had light roast coffee. I like dark roast to get me going in the morning. Parking is expensive if you valet. Do yourself a favor and self park at the garage right across the street.
- 5/5
Perfect location and great room

Nice and friendly staff. Didn’t know we had to pay for parking but it was valet so it wasn’t bad.

Hampton Inn was in a great walkable location convenient to many local attractions. Surrounding area is busy with many tourists. Plenty of dining options but it was nice to have breakfast available on site. They also had a rooftop pool. Our bath was spacious but shower curtain didn’t do much to prevent water from escaping to toilet area, Beds could have been more supportive, Pillows too flat. Rooms did have a microwave and refrigerator which was useful. Front desk was helpful and concierge helped us book activities during our stay.

This was our first trip to Savannah - great hotel- conveniently located. Great front desk service and very helpful and knowledgeable concierge. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff was lovely. The air conditioning was a problem. Due to the sensor that cut the air back when no one was in the room the room was very warm when we came back for the afternoon/evening.

We had significant water around our air conditioner and the woman at the desk was so helpful in changing our room. The wet carpet would never dry out during our 4 day stay!

Great location. Friendly staff. Property in pretty good shape. I was happy I stayed here.

The staff members were incredible and the rooms clean and beds comfy. It was also convenient to both River Street and the historic district.

Very nasty odor!

Close to everything. We only hadaay and the get on and off bus

Great place to stay. Valet parking only at the hotel. It was over $40 per night, so we parked in a public garage across the street for $16 (no in/out there, though). The hotel is in a great location for walking through the historic district.

The following evening when we returned from being out all day, I called the front dest to say that our room was never cleaned. The response I got this time was,"If you read the sign on the bathroom mirror we clean every other day, You can come and get clean towels." There were many incidents, from talking to other guests they were not pleased either with the staff. I should have written the names down of the staff but didn't. One that I do remember was Beverly. These women clearly do not like their job and should definitely be in another industry. Having said that, I don't believe Hampton Inn will be a choice for us in the future

everything was great

Great location, all of the employees were pleasant. Breakfast was what I expected the typical continental breakfast. We chose to park in the public garage across the street from the hotel and saved a lot of money and didn't have any problems. Pool area didn't have enough seating but was a nice feature. Would recommend.

Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly!! You do have to pay to valet, but that’s with most hotels in Savannah due to no parking! Breakfast was good and lady at concierge was helpful! Great location and within walking distance to a lot of the restaurants and shops!
