I’m not a huge fan of the self check in. I stay at bed-and-breakfasts to be welcomed by a person. We had a bit of an issue, gaining Entry and had to call the number given. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly. We did manage to get a spot in the back of the hotel for parking. One side of that area has branches growing, which made it difficult to get in until we turned the car around. Our car was loaded since we were in route to Hilton Head and if we had had to park on the street, I would’ve been very unhappy because of worrying about all the stuff that was in our car. I think if I had known that I would not have planned to stay here. The location was convenient for walking to dinner at the old pink house. I don’t mean to sound negative, I just wanna tell it like it is.

Stayed at the Green Palm Inn this weekend and loved our stay. Homemade cookies and glasses of wine is complementary in the afternoon. The breakfast was amazing! Nicole was a delight. She took care of my dietary restrictions-no beef or pork, no carbs or sugar and was able to create 3 different delicious breakfasts on the 3 days that we stayed. Don’t let her go!!!

Nice bed and good breakfasts. However, hated the spray spigots in the shower, the BR window frame was rotting, and just did not like the Bathroom at all; the AC vents were grossly dirty/molded throughout. The downstairs lobby area was very nice but everything in it’s entirety needed a good cleaning.. I would not recommend it.

The room was beautiful and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing! It was such a pleasure to stay in a historic home. We were in a very quiet area and walking to the river district or other areas of the historic district was easy and close. Private parking was a plus and great. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly be back.

The house is lovely and seeming well maintained. There is self check in and no staff on site except for breakfast so if there are issues you have to call a phone number for assistance. The room was freezing and had no temperature control. Extreme overuse of scented laundry products made me physically ill and we almost left after one night. Only the coat of the room and a creative workaround prevented that. Breakfast the first day was acceptable but I don’t believe the pancakes were made from scratch the syrup wasn’t real. The second day’s breakfast was mostly left on the plate. For the price the breakfast should have been better. Outside noise the first night kept every guest in the Inn awake. Finally, the sheets weren’t cotton and were icky and slippery.

Breakfast by Nicole each morning was delicious! Snacks and wine were out for grabs as well. Parking was easy enough and we were close enough to all we wanted to do; many within walking distance (further but certainly doable). Room was clean and comfortable, tidied and replenished each morning. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Savannah!

Quaint B&B. Our room and bathroom were small, but sufficient for our needs. Alex the Inn manager was very responsive and accommodating by allowing us to check in early so we could get ready for a wedding. Nicole prepared a delicious breakfast in the morning! The two parking spots allotted for the Inn were full, but we were able to park on the street for free since it was after 11 pm and there was no charge on Sunday.

The breakfast daily was amazing. I loved waking up and having our breakfast ready for us downstairs. Nicole was amazing making us feel very much at home. The wine in the afternoon was wonderful as well. Loved how every day we came back from our long day of walking all over Savannah and our bed would be freshly made. We would have new towels. Beautiful place!

Homemade breakfast was great with warm peaches and pancakes. Always homemade brownies or cookies available in dining room or fresh fruit and wine. For anyone elderly or with bad hips, it would be hard to climb over the very high tub wall/shower in Sabal Palm Room. Very high colonial bed same. You climb up 2 stairs to reach mattress. Once up there, it's great! Also, being a Gardner at heart, tl have all dead plants on front porch of such a beautiful Inn, I wanted to run out and buy even artificial ones and redecorate the porch. I understand there's a draught now but there's many things you can do to remedy dead palms. The front porch is important...curb appeal! But once inside, lovely.

Historic structure. Location was a bit east of center which was exactly what I wanted. Breakfast was very good with nice, attentive staff. At a supposedly upscale facility, I don’t expect “self check in” Felt like they were trying to get the most while doing the least.

This was our first trip to Savannah, so we wanted to be in a good location for getting around. We walked almost everywhere- restaurants and fun shops. The Green Palm was perfect for our needs. The room was very nice- clean and comfortable. Nicole is the "face of the place" with a welcoming smile and is lovely to talk to. She makes amazing breakfasts that carry you through to dinner!!! We'll be visting again and will absolutely be staying at the Green Palm.

Hello. Recently stayed at property NOT as currently advertised and offered. Property description offered working fireplace in ALL bedrooms. Our bedroom had NO fireplace at all. Property host Alex was contacted and spoken with while at property during stay. Host acknowledged incorrect property advertisement and guest expectation and experience was misleading and not met. Host advised us to contact Booking to provide additional information and dissatisfaction with service so host could be engaged further thru Booking for consideration of partial refund. Please assist us at this time with this matter. Thanks and appreciated. Ron & Sheilla Kunz

It was an easy entry into the house. A parking space was available. It was a lovely house in a location for easy walking. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. There was a tea & coffee bar available and freshly made cookies in the parlor when we arrived in addition to red & white wine. Breakfast was delicious and Nicole made a frittata without meat to accommodate our vegetarian diet. There wasn’t anyone to meet us at the house which seemed unusual to us for a bed & breakfast inn. There was an envelope with our name on it sitting on a table when we entered that gave us our room name. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room which was appreciated but when I added half & half from an individual container and poured it in my coffee it curdled. There wasn’t a date on the container but it was certainly expired. Fortunately, there was half & half in a pitcher at breakfast. The house was located near a busy street and it was loud due to buses during the day. Also, at night there was traffic noise, especially from loud motorcycles. It was a Saturday night so it may be less noisy during the week.

The thing I liked the most was the Breakfast and conversations we had with the host each morning. She was very accommodating and asked if we would like what she was preparing for the next morning. She provided ideas and knowledge for things to do and what to go see along with suggestions as to where they were located and how to get to them. I would say the Green Palm Inn within its self could use some updates. We noticed that the mattress on the bed was worn and needed to be rotated in order to get a good night's sleep. The shower was fairly small compared to other areas and the parking needs to be better defined as to where it is located. How many spots are available and what other alternatives there are in front of the building as to how they work. Also, the landscaping in front of the building needs to be cleaned up and maintained better. I fault the landowner with these upgrades that wouldn't cost too much to make the upgrades.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for everything inside, from decor to comfort to delicious breakfasts prepared by Nicole, who was very friendly. We were able to get one of the free parking spaces behind the B&B, so we didn't have to pay the $12 daily rate for street parking. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for convenience and walkability. We walked to do a historic tour (highly recommend Savannah True History Tours), River Street with tons of dining options (highly recommend The Boar's Head Restaurant) and shopping, as well as City Market where all the action is. Even Forsyth Park (gorgeous and safe during the day) is within walking distance with comfortable shoes. I recommend The Green Palm Inn and would stay there again.

Your comments about parking to bad. Only 2 of 4 people get parking U need to state that. If u use street parking, tell us its pay. Suggest u get rid of the area out back with an uncovered table and make it parking. U would still have a covered outside area plus another park spot.

This is a 5 star bnb as far as the house and staff go. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is only a couple house from a major intersection and due to the age of the windows and home there is little to insulate from the loud cars and motorcycles. I would assume this is less of an issue with rooms on back of house and only a problem on Friday and Saturday nights for the most part. We’d love to come back but would skip a busy travel weekend.

Several light bulbs were burned out. The remote to the light and fan was on the floor brocken which made it almost impossible to operate. We we the only guests and should have been offered another room but that never happened. Very dissapointed and definitely not worth the price.

A gorgeous old home that felt comfortable. The furnishings were beautiful. The king size poster bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is big but no room to put your toiletries. And I was disappointed that the jetted tub was not working. Breakfast was delicious every day. When we returned to our room after going to town our room was spotless. So refreshing to see a nice clean room. I would definitely stay here again. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Savannah. A wonderful place to stay.

Despite being quite comfortable, superbly located, very clean and charming, we couldn't shake the Twilight Zone feeling of being humans in some kind of alien AI experiment that's close to real life, but not quite like real life, or like the Charles Bronson - Elizabeth Montgomery episode where they are the last two humans on earth. A little warmth and humanity from the operators of this joint could make it a cozy and desirable inn. Right now, it isn't.

This is a lovely little B&B in a quiet neighborhood just on the outskirts of the main historic district. Very convenient location for walking to the historic district yet away from the hussle and bussle. Nicole created wonderful breakfasts every morning and provided everything that we needed. Parking was limited however and we had to use street parking ($12 a day, sunday is free).

The shared common areas were lovely, the complimentary drinks and cookies a very nice touch. Nicole prepared a great breakfast but it was a little overly sweet. Our suite was very classy but some electrical maintenance needs doing - a few lamps didn't work and there were no lights bright enough for reading in the evening. We'd happily return the next time in Savannah.

The only complaint is the street noise. The Inn is located on a quiet residential street. However, that street turns into a major thoroughfare at the nearest intersection, 2 buildings over. It quickly became obvious that Savannah has an affinity for extra loud tailpipes. For the deep sleeper it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. But it’s rough for light sleepers.

Green Palm Inn was well-located, allowing us easy walks to meals, historic sites, and quirky shops. The room was well-organized and had everything we needed. The shower was small, but water pressure was wonderful and hot water plentiful. Our breakfasts were delicious, and they accommodated dietary needs (gluten-free, dairy free, no pork) with no warning our first morning. Nicole even made one of my husband's favorites for the second day. Questions regarding parking and keys were easily answered with a phone call and no waiting. We will return to this "home away from home."

A short walk through a couple of beautiful treed parks you will arrive at River Street where there are lots of shops, markets and restaurants where you won't be disappointed in the cuisine! Make sure to plan ahead as some of the most popular restaurants take reservations weeks in advance. My only not so positive note would be for those who are sound sensitive - I would suggest bringing ear plugs as the windows are not sound proof and you can really hear the traffic late into the night and early morning.

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway in Savannah and Green Palm Inn was the perfect place to stay. You feel as though you’re a part of history with the decor and feel of the Inn. The breakfast was homemade and delicious! We were minutes from everything Savannah has to offer whether we walked or drove. The temperature thankfully was very mild for May so the room wasn’t too hot, but we did have to set up an additional fan (which was in the closet) to help cool the room a little more.

House was beautifully adorned inside and out. Lady that prepared our breakfast was very nice and breakfast was very tasty. It would have been nice to meet the owner of the property - assuming it was not the same person that prepared b-fast. If it was, please scratch that comment. Only negatives: -Shower was tiny and not very user friendly. -Room was lovely, but a little on the small side. Overall, we'd recommend staying here!

This was such a cute and well kept property in Savannah's historic district. We parked when we got there and didn't have to move our car until we left. The daily breakfast was great! Lina and Nicole were excellent, very attentive. Our room was cleaned every day, it always smelled nice and clean. The only 'negative' (which was not a big deal to us) was the small shower. Also if you have a picky eater, keep in mind you don't really get a choice for breakfast, it's chefs choice, although you can let them know in advance of any dietary restrictions or allergies. We personally enjoyed being surprised with a different breakfast every morning and enjoyed it all.

It was a self check in Had to call a few times for the owner to pick up. No parking either. Had to park in the street owner was to pay for the parking and never did even after I texted them as she agreed. Over priced old house

Wonderful location and property but if you are looking for all the experiences that make a great bed and breakfast than look elsewhere. We stayed three nights. I believe guests choose a bed and breakfast so that they can get to know locals and get recommendations from the hosts, and to truly learn about the area they are visiting. When we arrived there was no one at the location. I believe the new owner does not live nearby so there is no interaction with him. But the place is nice, nice location, and the breakfast every morning was good. The chef was very friendly. If you are looking for a what makes a great B&B, this is not the place.

Property states three parking spots but there were only two. The bedrooms were freezing (other guests complained) but no one of authority was ever on the premise to let them know. It was quaint but the new owners need to give it more attention to it especially the outside both front and back is very over grown. The “chef” for breakfast was very sweet and attentive to all guests!

The Inn's decor is very dated and tired. New towels, bathroom rugs, shower curtain would help the bathroom look clean. It's a beautiful historic home in need of a few updates. The linens were great and the space in the room was excellent. The food was great and the service. The outside needs tending to. It's a shame because with some TLC this place could be amazing.

We loved our stay at the Green Palm Inn. Check in was a bit tricky as the front door isn't currently in use. We figured out the back door but it took a few minutes compounded by the afternoon downpour. Our room Was small but perfect. We stayed in the Sago Palm Suite. Bathroom and shower are nice but small. Luckily we ate small people. Nicole runs the house and has for several years t through a few owners. She's so nice and accommodating. She made our stay even more perfect. Breakfast was delicious as well. We will stay here again when visiting Savannah.

Nice place to stay in the heart of the historic district. The breakfast each morning was a pleasant start to our day. We were close to everything and never moved our car from the free parking space provided by the bed and breakfast.

With just four rooms, this is an intimate setting. And much of what you'll want to see in the historic district is within walking distance. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed talking with the other guests. I agree with the reviewers who said the self-check-in detracted from the experience, because it means no chance to interact with or ask questions of the owners. We stayed in the Sago Palm Suite. Our only complaint about the room was it had just one sitting chair. We thought the mini-fridge could have been replaced with a second chair, but other guests might think the fridge is more important to have. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Very quaint B & B .. self check in made experience less personalized & less customer service. I would of loved someone there giving me the history of the property.

It was super charming! The small details really made it great! There was parking off street and the location is perfect to everything so really we didn’t even move the car once. Breakfast was made for us each morning and the BEST cookies ever! Thanks Nicole for putting your love in every bite! Things that were troubling was the toilet never stopped running in our sweet and that the second bed was smaller than anticipated. I travelled with my friend for a road trip and one got the king bed the other a twin. I would stay here again however as checkin was super easy and the ease of it all!
