It's a decent.It's clean if you just looking for a place to sleep for the night or two nothing special, no razzlin dazzle just a bed and a TV.

Close to our event This place is falling apart. They gave us a room key and opened the door and someone was already in there making themselves at home! Gaps in the door didnt make us feel safe, ceiling tiles missing, sheets stained tv worked but was small. Bed was fairly comfy for the price but we pulled open a drawer and there was what looked like a bullet hole in the bottom of the drawer. Every door looked like it had been kicked in amd fixed.

The guy at reception was nice enough to give me a refund. The sheets had cigarette burns in them, the toilets and bathrooms were dirty looking and the rooms looked run down, and we could not stay there. It just had a creepy vibe.

It was cheap and next to food. 1 wash cloth, stained sheets, had to choose between using the tv or mini fridge and was generally not clean BUT it’s so cheap I’ll stay there again with my own linens.

Good value and an easy check-in procedure with Mr. Patel. The accommodation was as advertised and more clean than expected.

The rooms smell horrible and we’re disgusting. The sheets were dirty. The drawers were molded. The bathtub was molded toilet around it.

It was next to a cook out and across from a Publix. The toilet didn’t flush,there was no smoke alarm,the towel had bloodstains on it,the covers had cigarette burns,it was insanely uncomfortable bed.

Filthy room. Stained towels. Hairs in the sink. I had to ask for soap and shampoo. No water cups. Non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. Smoke detector knocked out of the ceiling with wires hanging out. Cigarette burns in the comforter. No table to eat food or work at, so I had to hunch over the end table.

i liked the lady down the hall absolutely everything but the staff. the staff was the absolute worst part of it all. i had a domestic dispute take place, i called the cops and told the man out front i wasn’t checking out yet as i had stuff to get, and i was kicked out and the staff stole my items. told me i damaged their room. and that i couldn’t receive my personal items without police involved again. their room was beyond damaged before i even got too it. which is why there’s so much MOLDDD in the drawers and in the bathroom. not my first time staying here either so i’ve seen other rooms and know they’re either equally as bad or worse. They don’t have deposits here also which means. the rooms get trashed and the staff doesn’t care. Don’t stay here h less you like roaches, bed bugs, mold and water damage inside drawers. showers that half work and have mold in the corners. staff that are beyond garbage. and thieves not to mention i’ve called and reported this motel as an absolute health hazard.

The place had individuals loitering outside, the room was filthy, tube was filthy no toilet paper. That wasn't the worst part. Last night the police had to come because the couple in the next room was fighting and arguing with physical injuries and no staff from the hotel was around. If you you have kids don't stay there very unprofessional establishment

There was one worker at the front desk and one person cleaning the rooms. Nearby our room were about 5 young men who were smoking and drinking beer. The were standing in the doorways of 3 or 4 nearby room. We heard loud talking well into the night and car motors revving. We imagined the the motel’s proximity to a hospital was preclude these issues.

the front desk man, had trouble processing the people who were there before me to check in, LANGUAGE BARRIER, when I finally got my room, it was quite a way from the front entrance. I was greeted by large roaches, no toilet paper and other things which would make me sick if i stayed in the room, i immediately killed a large roach with the almost empty toilet paper roll and took it up to the front desk along with the video of the roach crawling before i killed it. the second staff immediately came from behind the counter and said "follow me", he took me to a room on the upper level, that was clean and quier and very different from the original room.

One room had roaches sin the beds!!!!! Woke up to roaches on my toddlers pillow and crawling on him. Walls are staned and damaged. Sink wasn't attached to counter was just kinda free floating. Unless your desperate don't come here. We didn't even stay our second night we packed up and left once all the roaches started coming out.

My wife and I booked here in early November. When we checked in, there was a lot of extra activity in the parking lot and in front of other rooms. While I was unloading our bags, I actually got to witness a drug deal happen in front of the room next to ours. We immediately loaded our things and found a different hotel to stay at. During the week we were in Savannah, there was at least twice the police were called to this property. We found out from a local friend that it was because of an assault and a shooting. The manager/owner refused a refund and I was unable to get one through this website. I personally carry a concealed handgun and did not feel same at this hotel.

This hotel is for someone that's needs a place for a night, i would not recommend this hotel for extended stay. The chair is stained to the point that u wouldn't want to sit in it, the ceiling is falling down, the pipes in the bathroom moves..not secured, night stand has carvings in it, the place in general is not clean.the compound does not look safe..

This facility has a roach infestation. We changed rooms and still had roaches. I laid down for 20 mins and reach to my bag, on the floor, and two roaches came running out from me moving the bag. Was at the property for less then an hour. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

When I got there there was no television remote or towels which made for a rocky start to say the least. All it took was a phone call to the front desk and both were remedied immediately.

Had a smoking room. They seemed to not care about internet not working in room nor care about shower leaking from handle you turn it on with.. Did bare minimum to keep happy ignored request to change rooms.

We opted for non smoking room and when we visited the place we were provided with the smoking room. It was a disappointment for us. The room odour was not good and we didn't liked the place. The first thing we did was a early checkout by 6AM as we don't wanted to stay long there.

The bed was comfortable but the lock on the door wouldn't lock. The batteries to the remote for the tv were dead so I had to keep the tv on one channel. None of the lamps were plugged in because there weren't enough outlets in the room.

It was horrible. I have stayed at this hotel in the past with minor problems, however this was by far the worst hotel situation I have ever saw. There was bed bugs in which me and my 2 small children where biten. Upon letting the office know, i was told "ok" and i will take care of you on your next stay. No No No! Not cool! It was horrible. I have stayed at this hotel in the past with minor problems, however this was by far the worst hotel situation I have ever saw. There was bed bugs in which me and my 2 small children where biten. Upon letting the office know, i was told "ok" and i will take care of you on your next stay. No No No! Not cool! I didnt stay overnight for it was very uncomfortable area and the room was just not up to par.

Staff barely spoke any English language, the hotel room was not cleaned besides the bed & the shower and door handles broke off. I had to clean the shower myself.

Could have been alot cleaner. Sheets were clean. I wouldn't even think of taking a shower after seeing the tub! Microwave and fridge clean and working properly. If you understand that this is a $30 hotel then you should understand what you're getting. But i will say the restaurant directly beside the hotel had crime scene tape and several cop cars in the parking lot as we were leaving the morning after our stay!! Never heard what happened and didn't stay around to find out!

Stay was pretty good, found two roaches during our stay, but the room was fairly clean, place has the potential to be a really nice place, for the value I was happy overall

It was noisy outside me door - some kids playing around - bathroom was big - no place to hang towels

The Inn looked clean but it had roaches and the min refrigerator was dirty.

The worst stay ever. I was only in the room 6 hrs. I knew that it wouldn't be the best. I understand you get what you pay for. But I woke up to use the bathroom and roaches were EVERYWHERE! One was eating on a Doritos crumb left by the previous guest. I didn't go back to sleep. I just stayed up all nite with the lights on to keep the roaches at bay. Just hate that I still have to be charged for early cancellation. Just pay the extra money for a better hotel.

No microwave in the room. Mattress sliding off box spring. Saw at least 5 roaches inside the room. Cold air and no bedbugs at least. Close to everything.

Greta hotel, rooms were clean, staff helpful/friendly and facilities were great for the price! Most importantly it was also right next to a frequent and easy bus route into savannah! Not too sure why it's slated in other reviews I had a fantastic stay!

Was close to the beach other then that every thing was bad also in 5 days they only came once and cleaned our room also wanted to check out early do to emergancy at home cant get refound boiler took 5 hours to heat up bad over all .

It was horrible; there was roaches, the toilet was unlevel, the ceiling leaked above the toilet, there was water bubbles under the paint in the bathroom, there was no remote, it was dirty, no coffee pot in the room, no coffee made in the office, and nobody there was any help.

First, you need to understand this is a hotel for only 39.99$ per night. Then we can discuss this. I am a solo traveler, so my budget is limited. Gateway Inn is the cheapest hotel in Savannah I could find. However ,the service, location and room condition ain't bad. There are a few fast food dinners around, and it is only 20 mins from the central park, 25 mins from the river street. Room is clean and quite. To be honest, I don't expect any surprise. What I want just a roof I can rest under it for one night safe and sound, which Gateway Inn achieved it. So, overall, Gateway Inn is good enough for this unbeatable price. If you are expecting something more, this is probably not the one for you: )

I have stayed bere before. You get what you pay for. The rooms need to be cleaned better and a lot is broken in the rooms; however, I don't stay there for the stars. The price is rock bottom, it is at a great location, and the employees are always friendly.

This was probably the worst experience I have every had with a hotel. To start with it is a small property which in of itself is not bad, however, check out is 11:00 a.m. and check in is 1:00 p.m. I arrived about eight (8) minutes before 1 and the desk clerk stated that he would have to check to see if there were any rooms available as housekeeping was still cleaning the rooms. He did mention that I was early, which I was by only eight (8) minutes. By the time he walked out of the office to check for me it was after 1:00 p.m. Upon his return he stated that he did not have any King size beds available, but could put me in a double if that would be okay with me. I told him that would be fine. He got me all checked in and I went up to the room he had given me. The door was wide open as they were trying to dry the floor that was still soaking wet and smelled of bleach. When I went into the restroom the toilet paper was not even on the holder, it was sitting on the back of the toilet. The door knob did not work and it was loose. There was dust on half of the lamp shades throughout the room. In the end, I got my money back and canceled the reservation. I do not recommend this location.

Stay is good,this is a big guy paradise, there's no restaurant you can't find when you walk out the door.Great.

Out dated. No microwave, iron or coffee pot in room. Those items today are standard items, I believe.

My stay was nightmare. there were crushed roaches everywhere and my room only had one towel. why did a gateway inn have 1995 style Motel 6 sheets. I wanted a refund but couldn't get one.

This hotel was so nasty. I had to go buy cleaning products. I ended up leaving before checking and did not even sleep there because I was overcome with bed bugs. I itched so badly. Hair was on my pillows, blood drops on my sheets. Nasty Nasty Nasty. Very displeased. I wouldn't let my dog stay there. I'd warn my enemy to stay away.
