Beautiful hotel, everything we wanted in Savannah! Bar attached, and they gave us free drink tickets! Free water and coffee, not to mention the popcorn! Would absolutely stay again. Rooms were beautiful and the bed was so comfortable! Thank you!

Aside from the owner, who we never met, the front desk staff was fine. The "coffee shop" in description is only a K-cup coffee maker. I would recommend other travelers look elsewhere if you are not a pet owner.

The inn is a historic building from the 1850’s that has been lovingly restored. The rooms are large and pleasantly decorated. The staff is helpful and friendly.

The hotel was STUNNING! All of the amenities were too notch. Best of all was the staff. They were so kind and prepared and helpful.

We found the parking very accessible. Loved the charm of the hotel. Very accommodating staff.

Excellent drinks at tandem bar. Easy parking. It is near a busy part of downtown so due to outside noises it can get noisy with traffic but nothing crazy. We really enjoyed the coffee/tea bar in the lobby and the complementary waters in the Savannah heat.

East Bay Inn is a lovely historic hotel steps from the river and attractions. We were able to walk out each day to browse shops and sample many different restaurants, without needing a car. The hotel bar was a fun place for an after-dinner drink or a midday coffee. Ghost tours frequently stopped in the bar, which added to the charm. The restaurant in the lower level, Debi's, was lovely and delicious; we ate there every morning. The staff in all of these places were gracious and attentive. Nothing, everything was as expected or better. The parking lot is small, but the use of another lot down the street was included and not an issue at all. The building is old, but beautiful and well cared for. If we wanted new, there are other places to go.

Our room was fine except for the extreme road noise on Bay Street-- it is an historic building, so I'm not sure how they could insulate those huge windows. I should have asked for a quieter room but had not seen the issue mentioned in other reviews. Also, the bathroom wasn't as clean as I expected- the sink, shower and floor needed to be scrubbed.

We had a very good stay at East Bay Inn. Location is great - walking distance to all historic sites and waterfront; the decor just brings you back to the golden age era; stuff is super friendly; room was clean and the bed comfortable; free drinks at the next-door bar were a pleasant surprise. Highly recommended place to stay.

The original wood floors that smelled like antique and creamed when you walk were enchanting. The room was spacious and opulent. The front desk was friendly. I loved getting the free drink tickets to go along with my stay. The selection of library books in the lobby was nice for leisure time. It was close to everything and a perfect hub for walking around. It's one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in! It didn't bother me too much because it's pretty understandable for an old building, but I could hear lots of footsteps from the people above me. No big deal.

I liked the free beverage bar and the complimentary wine vouchers for each day of our stay. The down side of an old historical building is the noisy floors and lack of adequate storage. The courtyard attached to our room was basically unusable due to falling tree debris and loud traffic noise,

We just came home from a 4 day trip to Savannah and stayed at East Bay Inn. We found the property to be exactly what we needed. The location was perfect for everything we did. It is close to the river, downtown, and the historic district. It was clean, the beds were so comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The beverage station was a great perk and having drink tickets was an added bonus. We will definitely stay there again!!

The room was comfortable and I appreciated the robe provided. Another nice touch was that we had the "do not disturb sign on our room" all day and the housekeeping staff left us a fresh set of towels and a roll of toilet paper in a plastic bag outside our door. Loved the free beverage dispenser in the lobby too--those waters came in handy on the hot days we were there! Finally, free parking!! Very rare in city properties and much appreciated. Spaces were limited and tight--we left our car in its space for the duration of our visit because Savannah is so walkable.

Beautiful old building. Loved the drink vouchers for the bar and the complimentary water bottles and soda. Loved the charm of the brick walls and the decor. Very comfortable hotel room. Floors were pretty creaky but it's an old building so I'm not faulting anyone for that. Bar and restaurant on site were convenient and nice.

Beautiful historic property. The room felt like being home with its comfy furniture and antique pieces. So nice to return to after a busy day. There was construction right behind our first floor room.

Great experience! Very nice and helpful staff, hotel is located within walking distance from the main park (about 15-20 minutes) and right by the river. Rooms are cozy, have a fridge, and Keurig coffee machine (there are unlimited coffee pods and cream at the reception as well as unlimited water bottles and sodas). On top of that you get complimentary popcorn and a voucher for a drink at the bar downstairs. Rooms are stylish, cozy and I did not find them noisy (stayed on second floor).

The inn was directly across the street from the river walk and in a good location. The inn is nicely decorated and has the historic feel. Parking is included in a garage down the block.

Absolutely a great place to stay..staff very nice. Highly recommended eating at debbis under hotel for breakfast the food is amazing an staff is great..bar off side of hotel also another great place with amazing bartenders ..i rate this place a 5 out of 5 an will stay here again!!

We were apprehensive about booking here because of the price. Do NOT hesitate!! With the coverage of parking alone, you will save the difference. The location is great (especially if you're a walker, even though they are fully accessible). We walked everywhere with the exception of the tours we took. The hydration bar was a big hit for us. We missed a small breakfast option, and the "free" beverage cards for the adjoining bar was nice, but for non drinkers, we wish there had been an alternate option. Very nice building, and staff!

Great location. The hotel perfectly blended modern comfort with old-world charm. Loved the exposed brick walls. The hotel offered many amenities. A restaurant for breakfast/lunch was located directly downstairs and offered a discount for hotel guest. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Slow bathroom drains were my only issue. Hotel staff said they would look into it immediately.

The Inn was in a fantastic location and we were able to walk all over the historic section of the city very easily. Also, got to watch the St.Patty's day parade from the lobby window which was terrific since it was so cold that day! Staff was great on all shifts! Also, the room had character with the decor and the linens, bed, and pillow were terrific. I was nervous about noise when I saw the sound machine and earplugs on the nightstand, but it was very quiet - even with the St. Patty's day crouds around. Loved the convenience of the restaurant next door/downstairs for breakfast. The room was very musty smelling and we both had to take allergy pills. There was a room air purifyer in the room and we had to run it on high at all times. Also, there was a lot of dust on the picture frames which then made us question the cleanliness of the whole room although we did not have any other issues.

Great location and wonderful staff. My flight was delayed multiple times so I didn’t arrive at the hotel until after midnight. Staff was very accommodating and hospitable. Enjoyed the complimentary hydration station and the complimentary popcorn at check in.

Amazing location in a historic building. It was a comfortable stay and I would highly recommend. I do think I heard the ghost the first night. ;)

Everything was extremely clean. The staff was kind and the proximity to restaurants, parks, etc. was convenient. The free coffee in the morning was also delicious and out for early risers like myself. We were able to park in their lot on our second day but had to use the public garage across the street on the first day ($32 for 24 hours which isn't terrible!). The mattress in our room had a bit of a droop in the middle which resulted in us rolling into each other so we had to use a pillow to prevent that. Overall a wonderful and quiet stay.

Our corner King room was beautiful, spacious and spotless. Amenities were great. Location to River restaurants and shops was very convenient. Debi’s Restaurant in the Inn was great for breakfast. If we visit Savannah again we would definitely stay here again!

The restaurant below the Inn was great for breakfast. It is not associated with the hotel but you are given a discount on the food if you let the waitress know you are staying there.

Beautiful corner room with large windows and antique furniture. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom large and clean. Property was conveniently located to River Street’s shops and Restaurants.

The mattress was way too soft, my husband would roll towards me and I would lean and sink sideways. They need to DUST!! The room was clean but you could tell they never dusted anything. Even the restaurant was dusty

I am giving our stay 5 stars. The check in & out was fast and staff are great. I do have 1 thing that did make stay less comfortable and that is the bed. The mattress in room 210 was not very comfortable and as and old lady it bothered my back. The bathroom does not latch closed & lock on it was useless. It did not matter to us as a couple. The room itself is so lovely. Sofa & chairs very comfortable. The area around the hotel perfect for walking & shopping. There is a restaurant in basement Debis and the staff were so kind. We are a light lunch & a breakfast it was good food & easy to get to just take elevator to basement. The food is not included in stay but you do get a discount. Parking is tight. Very few spaces but if you can get one then you don’t want to move that car! They do validate for parking in parking garage with a bar code you can go in & our. The garage we chose very small and elevator was not working so we had to climb stairs & go down with luggage. I think Savannah historic buildings are so beautiful and some inconveniences are just expected.

The hotel is an old historic building (1852) that emanates a rustic charm with modern in amenities. The front desk folks are helpful and friendly. They keep water and sodas available for guest convenience. The bar and restaurant are both great. We did experience service challenges. The first morning, realized we didn't have shampoo/soap for the shower. The front desk corrected that when i checked with them. The day's room service was a complete failure. Someone came and removed our towels--but didn't return. Consequently, we did not have coffee, snacks, waters but especially no towels. Thankfully, the front desk provided us a bag with all of these items in there. So not sure if our experience with service was consistent across all of the rooms or we were just unlucky. The last area i might suggest is there was a significant amount of dust/dirt in the corners and around furniture. I get the time it takes but maybe regular (but perhaps not daily) cleaning might reduce that unsightly appearance. In saying all of that, we did like our overall stay. But unfortunately, given the degraded service, we're not likely to stay there again.

For myself, my husband, and my two boys (13 and 9), the location of the hotel was perfect for what we needed. It was only a one-night stay, so we were honestly just looking for a nice place to rest our heads, that was also in a good location. We were within a short walking distance to many food options, and the location seemed to be nice and safe. It was the perfect place to stroll the streets, and take in the sights. Our room was beautiful, with plenty of space for all 4 of us. It had extra chairs, a bench and a little table, which I loved. Everything was clean and the room details were very thoughtful. My ONLY complaint, which I should have expected with an older, remodeled hotel, was the noise level at night. Unfortunately, I could hear everything outside and inside the hotel, which was surprising, as I am usually a great sleeper. They did have earplugs on the nightstand, which ended up helping. Something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful building, the old wooden floors are creaky and the TV is very small for a room this size. Overall a great place to stay that is close to all the historic parts of Savannah.

They could have just explained it was not possible versus saying they never allow them. I do not follow why you would have a policy to never alllow. I do follow that sometimes it is not possible. The staff here is fantastic — everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating. There’s also a bar connected to the Inn that opens at 11, and the bartenders kept things fun while making some really great cocktails, from classic drinks to craftier options. Location-wise, you really can’t beat it. You’re smack-dab in the historic district, basically at the halfway point, so everything you’d want to see or do in historic Savannah is an easy walk. Our entire group raved about their rooms and the overall experience. We’d definitely stay here again.

Staff was very friendly, the location can’t be beat! We were able to walk to plant Riverside, Leopold, ice cream, the trolley stop. There was free water and pop all day long, parking right at the hotel in the lot, wine and beer and then discounts at a few restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. No ghost sightings either!

East Bay was an awesome “home away from home.” The room was beautiful and clean and the staff was lovely. They do everything they can to make you comfortable.

Parking at the hotel itself is very limited but the hotel takes care of their guests with a parking pass to a parking garage that is a 2 min. walk from the hotel. The staff is great, room very clean, free drinks at the bar each night of your stay and water, sodas and coffee as well. Location is perfect we walked everywhere, never had to move the car!

This inn is in a great location. You can walk to a lot of fun places. You also get a discount at the restaurant below which serves breakfast and lunch. And you get a free beer or glass of wine at the adjoining bar. The room was clean and pretty.

The Room was large and bright with cool old feel vibe. However, the room, and the facility in general, was musty and did not have a pleasant smell. The location is also on a very busy street with a lot of traffic and truck noise, which I wasn't expecting. The front desk staff was disengaged and didn't offer much, although the cleaning staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff and the attached bar and Debi's restaurant downstairs just topped it off. We'll be back!

We wanted an historic hotel and this was a good choice. The staff were helpful - Steve gave us good idea, Jennifer provided extra towels, and Mallory was a gem!

The property had old time charm while being very well maintained. It was clean inside and out. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every situation (coffee supply, restaurant suggestions, booking transportation, etc.)

What an excellent place to stay. Historic building from 1852. So very convenient to restaurants, shopping, tour pick up sights. The restaurant, Debi's, has excellent food in a great cellar-like atmosphere. Beer/wine provided nightly. We booked the king patio room. It had the perfect private outdoor space. Room space and decor were charming. Very romantic space. Other than construction happening adjacent to the inn(totally out of the inn's control), it was perfect in every way. Room has mini fridge.

Everything was wonderful - location and room and check in and comfort. My only complaint was the noise level as we were on the first floor and you could hear traffic going by.

We stayed here 3 nights on our first girls trip. Loved the service and all the staff at this hotel. They were very helpful with where to eat and what tours were the best since we were here for a short period. Rooms were beautiful and beds were comfortable. Highly recommend and if I return to Savanna I would definitely stay here again.

What a great overnight stay for my wife’s birthday. From the moment we checked in the atmosphere was warm and very friendly. After going to our room we were stopped as we were going out the door and asked if our room was good for us. Great follow up. Very nice “perks” with no surprise costs. Amazingly Beautiful historic building that they have turned onto an Inn. Super location 1 street over from River St. Several parking options - at hotel (limited), Lincoln St garage, and there's another parking harage off of Bryan St. The rooms have so much character and the bathrooms have been updated. The tall ceilings are on the 2nd & 3rd floors. The sitting area was plush and we even had a great view of Bay St. Super comfortable beds and nice robes

Very nice rehabed hotel, we appreciated the high ceilings and original wood floor in the room. Only dislike was how loud the wood floors were on the floor above us, seemed like the guests above us were practicing jazzercise half the night! Ask for top floor...

The hotel is so convenient to everything downtown Savannah has to offer. Parking is hard to find but they validate for the parking garage which is amazing. When we checked in, Steven was at the desk. He was so friendly and offered us something to drink. Our room was spacious with two comfortable queen beds. We will definitely stay here again!

East Bay Inn has great proximity to the Riverwalk. The front desk crew was very friendly and helpful and getting us settled in. Our room was magnificent with 15 foot ceilings, original brick walls, and original wooden floors. The room amenities – – linens and towels – - for top notch. This was a very nice change of pace stay.

Wow! My husband and I stayed overnight en route to Florida. Jennifer at the front desk couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating from check in to check out. Other staff were also kind and friendly. If we find ourselves again in need of overnight accommodations in Savannah, East Bay Inn is our go-to.
