Stayed there for two nights and heard twice the clamor of one clearly unhappy hotel staff Indian lady. The first night she was loudly and unceremoniously arguing a while with someone just before midnight, second time I've heard her around 6 am the day of checking out. Unacceptable. People don't stay there to hear about your marital problems, ma'am, but for a good sleep and rest.

To top it off if you are in a suite, the AC blasts directly at the level of your head in the bed, so it's either sweltering or you have wind tunnel aimed directly at your head. It was so bad I had to place a pillow over the ac vent to block a portion of the blast!

Ample parking. Helpful staff. Building is old and lots of paint inside doesn't make it new. Bed was comfortable.

We had never had an experience like we had at this hotel. From The moment we checked in, the front desk attendant told us he did not have a room for 4 people (as we booked). They only had a room with a queen bed. And he could bring an extra twin bed to the room. He was very rude when we tried to complain, didnt listen and said we could get a refund and leave. We had to accept it because we were late for all the activities of my sons soccer tournament. We wouldnt have time to go look for another hotel since we were staying one night only. In the room as my daughter was taking a shower, a towel full of hair, was what they gave us. So nasty that I brought it to reception. The attendant took a picture and said he would send it to owner. We never heard from him/them. No apologies, nothing. We were so disgusted we barely ate anything there. We will never stay at a comfort inn again. Stay away. Only one staff member to deal with everything the whole time. Disgusting hotel!

Exterior looked like an average cost friendly Hotel. Entering the space was okay. Upon checking in the man at the counter stated hot breakfast and talked it up. However, the breakfast was not that great, all the muffins were blueberry and the very small minis, plain mini donuts, dry cereal, no milk, coffee was all decaf, waffle maker burnt the waffles and yet the interior of the waffles was raw, the eggs was watered down, and sausages looks like pork and not appealing. The room was spacious however had your landlord special painted outlets, extension cords plugged into each other, toilet set was loose, tub drain questionable, shower head looked rusty or crystalized from hard water, the carpet felt disgusting like its been there from 1960s and undergone a lot. The seating in the room was smelly!!!! Overall the bed seemed to be the cleanest thing from the whole building. I did check for bed bugs, none was observed at least where i looked. i was exhausted but i didnt wake up with any bites so think they are good on that. As a breastfeeding mom, they had a mini fridge but it had no freezer. overall fridge was NOT cold enough. Ended up getting a bucket of ice to store my milk in to make it REALLY cold. I didnt even touch the microwave. The TV was fuzzy, though flat screen and good size it was like watching TV on a box TV with a bad antenna. haha. Worked for being close to my job site and meeting the client budget but i wouldnt recommend nor stay here.

Mr. Jenkins is the jewel of the property! He is helpful, understanding and kind. He absolutely made the trip! The property is a shell of a hotel - dinghy, grimy and severely dated. The elevator was out, the walls, floors, and furniture were worn out and dirty. The pool was empty and the owners seemed to do the barest minimum to maintain the place. For the price, it was a scam.

Book my room on booking.com pay at property and when I got to the property my room was already canceled and they had no rooms they were full and booked I asked why I wasn't canceled and the guy at the desk told me because they took it off my card then it was declined this was my first time as much as I book on booking.com that my room got canceled because of my card I always paid at the hotel because that's what it says on the website. Good thing I had other family members in Savannah that I could stay at their room until we finally found a hotel

Price. Breakfast food was ok but staff failed in hand hygiene when handling food, Elevator was broken and no explanation of when it was being fixed, Pool was empty of water and no signs up telling this information and staff was not forth coming when questioned of what was wrong or when it was emptied. No person cleaned or picked up rooms and when towels were asked for the answer was "this is not a full service hotel, come get it if you want one" and I was challenged when I asked for 2 towels because "4 in my room should be enough" and when I took pictures of room and showed no towels I was given 2 and received no "sorry" or "here you go, thanks for letting us know". The staff was poor in communication and friendliness. It was an atmosphere of almost disgruntled employees who were upset they had to work!

The gentleman that checked me in was nice and friendly Alot, the whole place was dirty, smelled, looks like the owners have put zero money into maintaining a clean, safe environment. I paid too much for what I got. I would never recommend this particular hotel to anyone. Please do better

it smelled amazing, it was super quiet and it was very conveniently located to everywhere we wanted to go on our stay! it was also super pretty and the staff was all so nice and helpful! the elevator don’t work, we were on the third floor. first day having to carry everything up? yeah no, should definitely be warned ahead of time if anything like that is happening. going up and down the stairs after walking around all day downtown or doing the stairs on river street was insanely taxing on my body as a chronically ill person.
- 2.5/5
The elevator was out of order. I had stayed at this hotel before and it seemed to be in better shape in 2019 than now.

Breakfast was very limited. Cereal, eggs, and make your own waffles. Just wasn´t anything good to choose from. The room was okay, but there was a lot of mildew in the bathroom from there not being a fan to get the moisture out. When I came to check-in, it was after the check-in time and when I walked in the guy at the desk didn't ask my name or anything he just said can you just give me like 15 minutes. I honestly thought that he was joking. So l went and sat in my car and waited. When I came back in, a different guy asked my name and I told him. He said, are you sure you´re at the right place. I said yes! He said well you ´ re not going to be happy. He couldn't find my reservation so I showed it to him on my phone. Also, half of the payment had already been taken out of my account. He finally found it, but it took a while. The elevator was also broken so we had to carry all of our luggage up to the 2nd floor and from my understanding, it had been broken for a while. Also, the pool was drained almost completely and was green with a chair just sitting in the middle of the pool.
- 0.5/5
The location was close to everything and convenient I was traveling with my elderly father who is currently in home hospice and when we got there they had no accessible room available and the elevator was broken so we had to carry him up 14 stairs. The night clerk suggested we only charge one night of the two we reserved so we could see if a new room was available in the morning. They did switch us and we moved downstairs to a suitable room, however the clerk did not enter the change in correctly and at 5:00 pm we were literally kicked out of the room and the hotel and told we were in the wrong and because it was Saint Patrick’s day we had no choice but to drive back home that evening which was a 6 hour drive.
- 4/5
Staff was courteous.
- 2/5
The gentleman at the front was super nice. But the room was dirty. The tv was old and the beds were hard
- 3/5
The breakfast bar was very minimal. Room was noisy bc it was across from an ice maker machine and the A/C would rattle when the fan kicked in. Room was also outdated and poorly repaired around the bad tub and around the little built-in pantry between the bathroom door and the window. The chair in the room was a bathing chair instead of a regular chair. Outside looked maintained except the pool area.
- 2/5
It was dirty. Our room wasnt ready when we got there and then the room we were given was still be cleaned. The room we ended up with was filthy.
- 2/5
When we reached the hotel, we were told the elevator is out of service. We had to carry our luggage through emergency exit stairs. The room had a musty odor as we entered. Carpet was old and wrinkled and missing in some places. Furniture was poor quality. One of the drawers was broken. Bathroom was cramped. I had to step inside the tub to close the door. Bathroom door had been patched in a different color. Tiles around bathtub were cracked. The breakfast was limited and didn't taste good. Scrambled eggs tasted bad. Forks and spoons were the cheap plastic kind. Only food item we liked was yogurt cups. The pool had been drained and had trash in it. Laundry machine was broken so we couldn't use it. Overall it has a poor experience. This hotel is in a serious need of renovation.

The elevators were not working, and the front desk receptionist repeatedly stated, “I don’t normally work this shift,”but she did her best. I was forced to use the back of house stairwell, where the baseboard vinyl strip was laying loose on the floor. The corridor carpet was badly damaged and bubbled throughout the hallway. This was all observed just from check in to walking to my unit. I only stayed because all other hotels were fully booked, the reviews misleadingly showed an 8.2 rating, and due to exhaustion and lack of available options, I was unable to pursue canceling at the time.

Semi clean rooms. The elevater was broke. Only one set of stairs in the corner. any metal fixed to walls was extremely corroded and rusted. (sprinklers, door locks, lights by bed) Asked for extra towels and the guy at the front said I had to bring the old ones, wouldnt give me any extra than then what we had. Asked at check in about restaurants and he said nothing around here, need to go to the city......... there were multiple choices within walking distance. Breakfast was very limited. I wouldn't stay here again. Do not recomend.

Room was clean (other than a few rust spots in the bathroom). Water pressure in the shower was PERFECT. Overnight staff (cannot remember the gentelmans name) was kind, generous, and talkative. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the elevator was out of order and I was on the 3rd floor. Hotel could also use some slight upgrades, fresh paint, and maybe some more carpet as it is rolling up and in desperate need of replacement. Other then that, the next time I stay in Savannah I will definitely be booking this hotel again!

When we arrived we were informed that there was no elevator. Our room being on the 3rd floor, my wife and I are getting on in years, I have a knee issue and the suitcase was heavy. What was most disturbing was not that the elevator was broken but there was no contingency plan to aid guests coming in that would need help. I gave 3 stars because the owner got us a 1st floor room the next day. Otherwise it would have been 1 star.

The breakfast was so poor that I overheard a fellow guest refer to it as disgusting. The one hot dish was mere scraps at 7:45 am and was never refilled again. You were limited to basically just waffles.

The hotel is very cute with the indoor lobby a courtyard with lush greenery and surrounded by wrought iron balconies on upper floors. The tree-lined drive to old Savannah is nearby. Everything was great- except the elevator was broken. I definitely would recommmend it and stay here again.

The hotel has black mold! It was in the wall, under the AC units, on the bathroom blow dryer. They don’t treat it they clorox it and paint over it. They wouldn’t refund my money but they put me in a “cleaner” room where mold was on the curtains. The best thing about the hotel was the young man working trying his best to make me happy although the owner wouldn’t refund my money!

Waited a long time at check-in and no-one showed up, so we went to the function we were attending and then returned. We are elderly and the elevator was not working, and they put us on the third floor. The desk clerk said it had failed inspection and had been out "for awhile." They had no one to help us with our luggage. The room itself was clean and comfortable.

The carpet and furniture in the rooms could definitely be updated, as there is an old, stagnant odor that hits you and lingers as soon as you walk in the room. The facility is kept clean and is very quiet and comfortable, otherwise.

Overall the stay is good. The staff however is a bit off. One morning all I wanted was towels to be changed out so I handed the cleaning man, which is the cook and receptionist as well, my towels said he would drop off the towels later. Weird...why would he come to my room to clean without any towels? When we returned no towels. I went down to the receptionist he shows up and stated he left the towels. Started arguing with me stating he left them...I think cause his accent was really heavy. After about 3 minutes he finally gave me the towels. Just odd that he would come to my room in morning without any towels...

I found a bed bug in my bed. They moved me to another room but tried to downplay how bad it is to find a bed bug and I couldn't sleep well that night, worried about it happening again. I was busy with a work event the next morning and was unable to request a transfer of hotels until the afternoon. I was told that they could not refund me the upcoming night because I hadn't checked out that morning but I was unable to check out that morning due to my work conflicts and the work necessary to cancel, check out, and find another hotel. Breakfast was fine, common areas and room furniture were grungy, i didn't want to use them.

Close to everything I needed

Was there for my mother who was at Hospice Savannah. Front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate. I do wish I remembered their names. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great 1 night stay! No issues, the only thing I would have liked is wifi. But it wasn't needed. Thanks for everything

Safe ,quite and family friendly place.

Hotel was old and the smell when you walk into the hotel is overwhelming. The hotel floors were dirty. Bathroom was not clean and rusty. I did not expected comfort in like this. I never has experience before. We will not be staying here again. The front desk is not nice !
- 3/5
The desk staff upon check in was very rude and threatening.
- 4/5
I stay here every time I visit Savannah. It's always nice and comfortable. The building and the rooms, however! Needs a renovation. They also need new sheets, pillows, and bedspreads, but overall it's a nice stay.
- 3/5
An older property that needs some updating. Staff is friendly, breakfast is average at best. Parking lot was well lit and seamed secure. Rooms smelled musty but humidity was super high when we stayed. I rate the hotel 6/10.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay! The room was very clean and smelled clean! The bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was clean! We stayed in a suit and it was very spacious! They do need some upgraded furniture as one of the chairs had a broken leg and couldn't be sat in but as far as everything else it was great!!! The location is very nice and quiet as well!
- 5/5
Bed were great. Staff were as described in reviews. Beds were really comfortable. Pool was amazing and clean. Place was overall very nice and clean. Very pleased with the way our stay went. Not one problem. Breakfast was as any breakfast at a hotel. Was good and normal. Coffee was superb.

It had a very musty smell!! Bed was comfortable. On washcloth had a terrible large black spot on it and should be thrown away.
- 5/5
The staff was super friendly!! The motel was clean service was great. Definitely will return and have already recommended to a few people.
- 2/5
Everything went smooth until check out time. The cleaning lady was in the lobby when I went to get the luggage cart. She stared me down with a look as if she wanted me dead as I pulled the luggage cart to my room to load for checkout. My suggestion is don't have the cleaning crew working the lobby at check out time.It was very scarey to me and I felt afraid of her.
- 5/5
Very unique hotel with touches of the French Quarter in the main great room. The hotel is located 5 miles from the downtown riverfront. The drive from the hotel was beautiful, with many oak and moss lined streets.
- 3/5
Beds were hard but staff was friendly breakfast decen rooms aliittle dated but overall average
- 5/5
The property was well kept and in an area that was convenient to where I was going.

Cleaning staff were very sweet and friendly. Large moving trucks or contractor trucks were blocking lots of facility parking all 3 nights we were there.

Nice and quiet and comfy rooms
- 4/5
It is an old facility and was as clean as it could be. The carpet felt damp though so I kept my shoes on. The staff was polite. My husband enjoyed the breakfast! It is located in a convenient location close to the hospital and doctors offices. It’s also close to shopping areas and downtown Savannah.

Can’t recommend!!!!

Cons: Owner called early the morning of our booking to charge our card and threatened to cancel our room if we didn’t, even though the website says that we pay on property upon arrival. Learned that some people traveled only to find their rooms given away. Also was berated by staff member for two drops of waffle batter falling on the counter at the breakfast bar, but their machine slowly filled the cup then a huge blob came out, overfilling my cup. So it was actually their fault. All in all was a decent stay for a quick getaway with my kids. Andrew at the front desk was great.
- 4/5
The guy that checked us in was great! He was fast and efficient. He was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the extra space in our suite. It was great for my daughter to get ready for her competition. The breakfast was great to grab and go bc we had to leave so early each morning. However, we had 4 guests and that's what my booking said. However, we only had 3 towels and wash clothes and went to get extra. He seemed to not want to give us what we needed. Otherwise, they could use some updates as far as the carpet and bathroom but it was clean and had everything we needed.
- 3/5
Needs updated rooms. Breakfast was okay. Staff nice
- 5/5
For an overnight stay, the room is very comfortable, cleanandnspacious. The hotel,is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Savannah and it is easy to find parking. For an overnight stay,, we would recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
It was good but old the room was very old.
- 4/5
I was surprised at how large the rooms were. The extra chair and sofa were nice to have but in run down condition. The constant smell of marijuana in the elevator and shared spaces was disappointing.
- 4/5
The breakfast was mediocre at best, but the rooms were nice.
- 4/5
A bit run down feeling
- 5/5
Great hotel. Free breakfast. Close to Historic Savannah. Lots of restaurants nearby. Defintiely needs some updating but nice place to stay while visiting Savannah. Pool was closed and pretty much emptied out when we visited. Not sure when they are going to fix it and refill for use. Overall, great stay as always!
- 2/5
The elevator certificate was expired. I tried to go down the stairs and the stair door was locked. The breakfast was not well stocked, at times they were out of eggs and whatever meat they had that day. They were extra serious about the times for the breakfast, if you are down there 30 seconds late, you cannot have water. The rooms were old, old, old. The bathroom door had a notch cut out on the bottom half below the latch. We were on the 3rd floor and the only ice machine in the place was on the first floor. The people who worked there for the most part were not friendly, aside from one gentleman who was there on Thursday evening. I think one night when we came in a little late, the girl was outside smoking pot until she saw that I was waiting at the desk. Lots of times, the elevator reeked of skunks pot smell. I did not enjoy my stay and I did not think that the poor conditions were relative to the pricing.
- 5/5
Breakfast options are bad, juice machine needs cleaning and need to be honest on site about swimming pool
- 5/5
Facility is clean but outdated and could use some renovations but it's CLEAN and I've stayed here frequently when I visit familiy
- 2/5
This property is very very old. The bed and toilet were clean, thank goodness, but the sink, sofa and chair, carpet not so much. The lady at the front desk was very kind. She was 5 star!! Due to property condition and area I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
When we first got there the person at front desk was asleep and was not very pleasant. The beds were like sleeping on boards and one of the beds wasn’t even level. There was also blood smeared on the back of the bathroom door. We will not be back.
- 5/5
We had a great visit. Everything was clean and check in was easy.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was amazing! gave us lots of tips for finding fun stuff to do.
- 5/5
Absolutely charming, never been to a hotel where the design was so charming, breakfast could be better but the overall decor was stunning. On our next visit list
- 2/5
We asked for a different room to which all smelled like dogs had stayed there and dirty in different ways. The last one we sat in anunclean chair & couch so my daughter to complete school task. We did not use the room beyond that they refuse refund.
- 1/5
2) Carpet is worn, dated, and bunched up in several places. 3) Front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. Our room did not have a hair dryer and when my daughter asked for one the lady at the desk gave her an iron. 4) Musty and moldy smell. 5) Breakfast was minimal at best. 6) Paint job was slovenly done and needs to be an updated color.
- 5/5
I liked the cleanness of the property.
- 4/5
Great quality for a reasonable price
- 2/5
The black guy that checked us in was very nice and kind; after driving 4 hours, and friendly smile, warm greeting helps a lot. The room was spacious, but the tub and towels were not clean at all; and the breakfast was just awful.
- 5/5
Great value
- 5/5
Breakfast included is definitely a bonus but it's clean, staff is friendly and always have a good experience
- 4/5
Breakfast was better then expected, easy checking in, rooms were average conditions, layout of hotel made it very easy to find things. Wish more hotels were like this!
- 4/5
we needed a room to stay at so that we could help our daughter move in to SCAD. This one seemed like a fair price. Nothing bad and nothing special.
- 1/5
The room was pure nasty. Smell like human waste, the walls and bedroom curtain had brown stains. Carpet was horrible. My bed sheets had stains and burned marks. I brought my own sheets, bleach wipes and Lysol doing my stay. God knows what I would have picked up sleeping on their sheet and smelling human waste during my stay. The front desk clerk was rude as well.
- 5/5
Good

This would be our third time at this hotel. The first time was on a whim and it was the original hotel, they had a fountain and old fixtures it was really unique. The second time was really good they remodeled a little which was fine and the breakfast was amazing, they even had biscuits and gravy! This will be our last time ever coming again, the staff (owner I believe) was nice but looked miserable, the room was huge and comfortable but still very dated, the AC wouldn’t kick in so the fan was on which made it warm in the room. And last but not least the breakfast was not expected. Scrambled eggs, sausage links, cereal, bread, yogurt, only apples and you had waffles too. Pretty basic. The breakfast was what kept us coming back all those times, it’s unfortunate.

Roomy suite with couch and quiet desk area. It had a comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was adequate, but not great.
- 2/5
Dated facility, but staff and beds were nice.

When arriving to check in we were told they overbooked and they didn’t have a room for us. Someone “forgot” to call us ahead of time so with no help from the manager at 8pm with a sleepy child in tow had to find another hotel with vacancy’s. I have never had this happen before and still frustrated by the event and Managers attitude and rudeness.
