Staff Carpet was dark, un vacuumed and gross. Cockroach in bathroom, in desperate need of remodel. Smelled like marijuana as soon as we opened the door to the room.

Convenient, clean, comfortable. Drink machines were empty and there was a continuous beeping from outside smoke detector (I think) one night so couldn’t sleep much. I don’t know if that is their fault though.

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights, and every morning between 6-7am, the cleaning staff would be rolling laundry carts, walking past rooms talking loudly, banging things, so it was difficult to sleep in any with all the noise early in the morning. There was also a smoke detector or something that clearly needed batteries and was beeping all night. Isn't in the best of areas, but we didn't feel unsafe. Biggest complaint is the excessive noise.

The breakfast was out of most things. Although I don't really eat much at these free hotel breakfasts because of the low quality food. Oatmeal and occasional waffle or pancake is usually all I do, but they were out. They do have those items but there was a crowd so maybe go to breakfast early. They had coffee and milk so I was happy with that.

A highway / roadway hotel. Our criteria for a one-night stay at such a place is that it is clean, quiet, safe, has a comfortable bed, and quick breakfast. This hotel meets all of our criteria. The bed was comfortable, it was reasonably clean, there was some minor road noise because it backed to a busy road; fortunately, the air conditioner was very loud masking the road noise. The breakfast was adequate and got us on the road quickly the next morning.

I booked this month's in advance. We arrived at 6:00pm and they had canceled our reservation because they'd tried to run the card i had used to reserve the room and it had expired in the months since I'd booked. They didn't call or anything. I've used Expedia for years and I've never had a hotel so this. I had booked a room with a king bed. They rebooted me, after we arrived, with a room with 2 doubles. I think they had just wanted to give away our reserved king room. Very poor staffing.

Check person was a bit short and rude. Room had issues phone didn't work, the battery on air conditioning was out , tv wasn’t working and the had soap dispenser was empty. Finally reached the front desk the gal hung up she did not let me finish telling her all the issues we had and showed up to the room with batteries and reset the tv and said we can either go get hand soap at the front desk or wait for housekeeping in the morning. It’s a good thing we waited because a key is needed for the soap dispenser. Phone never got fixed. She gave us the impression she was very annoyed.

Have no complaints everything was fine for us. I will say the air field across the street is active. Had a plane come over about bed time the first night scared us to death lol.

The toilet got stuck after first use and when we contacted property they say that they will fix it before we arrive BUT we already were in. Beds were very small and uncomfortable. The breakfast was bed as well. For the price we paid it was terrible

We saw a small cockroach in the bathroom and reported it to the front desk, but the staff member told us that this is normal for the summer season. We do not think it is appropriate to try to convince a guest that finding a cockroach is something usual.

The hotel was good overall. The room was clean, and the staff were respectful and friendly. My only complaint is that the breakfast area is far too small to accommodate the number of guests staying at the hotel. In addition, when we came for breakfast, most of the food was already gone and they had run out of several items. Unfortunately, we ended up leaving hungry.

Having to give $150 refundable when I checked out was not expected, I have never experienced that before. It was a reflection of the people who patronize that hotel. The members of staff who checked me in needed a crash course in customer service.

Perfect for a quick one night stay. Not extremely nice but decent. Fairly clean, AC worked well, bed was clean & slept well. Staff was friendly.

The main drawback was the thermostat. We didn't have any trouble finding it or setting it, and the A/C started cooling our room immediately. But when it would reach the target temperature, the unit would turn off and not turn back on until it was about eight degrees over the target temperature. In fact, it seemed that the heat would turn on briefly to drive up the temp, although I can't say for certain that's what was happening. My husband doesn't mind fairly wide swings in temperature, but I struggle to sleep when the temperature keeps swinging. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well while I was in Savannah. Everything else about this property was lovely.

Abram was very kind and helpful. Even though the hotel was older and had the outside stairs the inside of your rooms were updated. Very clean, quiet, and mattresses we're firm but soft.The breakfast was fantastic and the room and hospitality was nice. Thank you for our stay, we will be back.

Cleanliness and location. About 10 minutes from Savannah State University. About 15 minutes from downtown Savannah. The bed was hard and hurt my back. Very uncomfortable after about 2 hours. They charge a deposit.

I didn’t like the 150.00 deposit that I had to put up.

This is a typical you get what you pay for. The room was basic but comfortable. The carpet could have used a good cleaning but wasn’t gross. Didn’t go to the breakfast because getting to the office area where it was wasn’t convenient to our room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Coming from London, we were shocked at the abundant use of disposable items, many of them plastic-wrapped, and many of them single-use plastic, both in the bedroom and the breakfast room. And the lack of anything vaguely healthy to eat for breakfast.

I would recommend this location.

My stay was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. When I first got there i was asked to change rooms 10 mins after unpacking my stuff. No big deal. The second night I had to change rooms again and was charged more for a smaller room. There was no hot water so had to take a cold shower, the hair dryer didnt work, the TV didnt work, the internet didnt work, i went to talk to the kiosk because there are no staff on-site and they fixed the internet for maybe 10 mins, so I couldn't work, the pool was down for maintenance, the room smelled like smoke even though I requested a non-smoking room. I checked out at 4:30 and was only given a half refund.

Tania was very kind, friendly and helpful and got our stay off to a great start. Savannah is expensive in general and although I thought this property was a bit overpriced we would stay there again. The midtown location was actually very convenient for our home base for Savannah adventures.

The entire experience was super smooth, refreshing and peaceful. This is definitely my choice of plcaes to stay while in savannah. The property was really kept up and clean and safe with ample parking.

The room smelled atrocious.. I'm not sure if the cleaning products were so strong to cover up a smell or what. I considered switching hotels for the night but stuck it out instead. The soda machine was either sold out or flat. Kudos to the grounds crew though

All in all a good experience, minus the lady knocking on my door before the checkout time to tell me i had to leave and the fact that they've put an authorisation on fu ds on my card that will be with me until i retire probably. I stayed at hotels before and after this and no other hotel is still holding my funds, apart from them.

The breakfast is good but very crowded. The room has some smell of molding and trigger our allergies during the stay.

Overall an ok stay. No one was there at check in but arrived after 5 minutes or so. The room was fine and the breakfast was pretty good but the location wasn’t the best and both nights people were standing outside our room talking until the early morning.

Room was fine. Older motel but updated. Breakfast was good. Cleanliness not bad. Parking was fine. Text at 7:00 am on a Sunday morning about how to check out was NOT appreciated at that time! Also cleaner’s cart was very loud and pretty early. (Wheels on the rough surface). One woman at the desk didn’t seem to know what she was doing. I had done the pre-check in and she was doing it all again—why bother taking time to do pre-check then? Also had to call because they weren’t accepting credit card security on one room but accepted for other one? Had no other difficulties using that card.

Over all this is a very average place. The room and grounds seemed clean, breakfast was simple but our stay was VERY noisy. The walls and windows are NOT sound proof. Could hear the traffic from the highway out front all night. The first night a helicopter flew over for several hours and over our 2 night stay we heard very large planes flying very low coming in for landings. Sounded like we were across the street from the airport. But the worst was the noise coming from the room next door. There was a college van out front so I’m guessing there was a field trip of some sort and the room was full of very loud boys. I spoke with front desk the morning after our first night of not sleeping and was told they would speak with the leader of their group. Second night was worst than the first. Boys were more loud and at one point a fight broke out. I was really concerned for the safety of the kids in the room. I called the front desk and she said she would handle it. She did call their room because I could hear the call through the wall but the noise did not subside until well after midnight. Screaming, yelling profanities in the room and in the parking lot, doors slamming in the room , car doors slamming outside, helicopters and airplanes flying over……worst stay ever and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU CARE ABOUT SLEEPING!!!!

The breakfast was not good as usual. Sausage was raw. The 150 dollar hold is too steep. I get why but that’s too high. I wasn’t aware until I got there. It was hard to flush our toilet. The second shift lady was rude she asked if I want bottom floor or top. I said bottom she put us at the top. My mom broke her ankle has hard time with stairs. First shift lady excellent!

The Room was very clean and updated. My biggest issue was there was an overwhelming chemical smell that didn't go away. I don't know if it was from spraying for pests or what it was but I probably won't go back here as a result. Everything else was in fact very nice there. I have respiratory issues so the smell was a hige problem for me.

Room was run down and carpet was sticky. Bed frame was dusty near the head and hairs from previous guests were in the shower.

This property is filthy dirty not only was our room filthy. The carpet smelled like sour feet. The carpet was so soiled. The bathtub was soiled. There were biological on the handles for the dresser. The light switches. The paint was peeling. The hardware on the doors was rusted at the place, not only smelled like sour feet but it smell smelled it moldy and mild Dewey. This property is pitiful. I would never stay here again and I would never stay at another best western. I deserve my money back. The only reason why we stayed is because we had such a long journey, and we were exhausted when we checked in. Even the front office area only half the lights were on the air conditioning was broken. The front desk woman had sweat running down her forehead. They were young girls in the lobby, using foul language and the following morning when we went to leave at 6:30 AM. The police shot a man in the street with a taser gun and my 12 year-old daughter witnessed all of it. She told me she will never stay in the best Western hotel ever again, but that was this sketchyspookiest hotel she’s ever stayed in.

I had never been to this hotel before and admit I was a little leery upon arrival and seeing it was a "motel" style accommodation (with all room access directly to the outdoors). However, I cannot say anything bad about the experience. The entire staff were very pleasant and courteous. It was well located for my purposes, with a great many stores, restaurants, conveniences and services all very close by (It is not near the major tourist areas, but as I was not in SAV as a tourist, that was of no consequence to me), the room was quite large, well appointed, exceptionally clean, and everything was in perfect working order. The furnishings were all still new looking, with no damage or signs of wear. There was no chipped or peeling paint, unpleasant odors, unusual noise, or virtually anything that might make one feel they were in a lower category establishment. The grounds were clean and very well kept, and the room and outside environment all felt safe and secure. Again, it was a pleasant surprise (to me) and overall a very good and comfortable experience. I would not hesitate to stay again.

I did not realize it was an exterior entrance room. It also had an adjoining room door that someone tried to open at 12:30 am, terrible feeling. I didn’t get much sleep after that. I couldn’t wait to get out. It is also at the end of the military air strip.

The cleaning staff need to be better trained. They started cleaning the adjacent room before 9 am and we had a late checkout and were woken up by a vacuum machine. We confirmed the late checkout time but we still received a knock on the door reminding us to leave 30 minutes before the established checkout time.

We didn't see or talk to them. Check-in was efficient but not friendly. Check- out was friendly but by then I just wanted to leave. Every motel during our trip a fee was set aside but erased immediately if nothing was missing usually the fee was $20.. This motel charged $150. and it was sent through my bank. I am still waiting to get my money back. I don't"tlike saying this but truth is, I would not stay here again.

The room had a very bad smell, apparently it was the carpet, the bathroom had not been cleaned properly, because the bathtub had hair, and we were 4 people and there were only 3 large towels, which were once white, and in the super early morning the workers passed through the corridors with the cleaning carts, who made tremendous noise and talked to each other extremely loudly, that you could not sleep, I am never one to criticize, but this was a very bad experience

Had a stopover at this location on a road trip from NYC to MIA, and it was great. Clean room , friendly and helpful staff , breakfast was filling for the long road ahead the next morning. Very good location - a good Vietnamese restaurant down the block that delivered with no problem. Definitely recommend this hotel in Savannah GA.

I love staying here when I come to Savannah. It’s clean. Simple with a touch of elegance. Great location and always friendly and helpful staff. The only suggestion for breakfast would be to offer real eggs and turkey sausage for non pork eaters. But that won’t keep me away.

Room and staff were acceptable. However, upon check in at 9:30, I was told the location of the thermostat in room. Upon entering room, the heat was off and the temperature was 51degrees. By 10 it had gotten up to 59. By midnight it was approaching 68. My wife slept with her clothes on, and we had to use an our own moving blanket from our car. I understand cost savings and environmental concerns. However, the room was non refundable prepaid. I was going to be there. No real reason for 51 degrees. This was a test visit as we will be visiting our daughter regularly. However, we did not experience a “warm” reception.

Staff was pleasant and check in was quick. I always wipe everything down when I go to any hotel and this one passed with flying colors. Everything was spotless. Bathroom could be updated but looks like the bedroom has already been updated offering stylish wood-like furniture. I tend to visit BW more often than other places and this one will be a repeat when I travel through here again.

It was a remodeled motel and was the nicest remodeled motel we have stayed in. The staff/owners all were absolutely wonderful, positive, polite, and smiling every second. The gal who was taking care of the breakfast area was on the go every second. Very clean. Good sausage, good coffee, good muffins. Nothing really negative (except the scrambled eggs were bland and I imagine they were made from powder). It was definitely a good value.

Disappointed with Lack of Flexibility and Support for Military Members I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. I recently booked a stay here while transitioning into new housing. Unfortunately, my move-in dates changed unexpectedly something that often happens in the military. I contacted the hotel to adjust my reservation, but they refused to make any exception to their policy, even after explaining my situation as an active-duty service member. Instead of working with me to find a fair solution, they stated that I would have to “eat” the full $700 charge for days I no longer needed. I completely understand that hotels have policies, but I expected a little more understanding and flexibility, especially given the circumstances and my military status. It’s disheartening when businesses don’t show any willingness to support those serving our country. I hope management considers being more accommodating and empathetic in the future especially toward service members and families dealing with unpredictable schedules.

To start, we couldn’t sleep due to excessive road noise in the room. Then around midnight someone started banging on the door of the room above us and shouting “Let me in!”. This was followed by 3-4 hours of screaming, banging, and a woman crying. Front desk staff called the room, but that’s all they did. It didn’t help. They said we could call the police “if we wanted”. We did so, because we worried for the woman’s safety. We left in the middle of the night and found a new hotel because we didn’t feel safe ourselves. That was our first night of what was supposed to be 3. Management could have been more sympathetic. We got a refund for the last two nights, but we still have to pay for that first night of misery in that place. Please stay somewhere else!

The room was clean but as for the atmosphere in Savahnna was not as good like last visit.

I was amazed at how clean the exterior area was maintained. Our room was immaculate and bed was wonderful. Great shower! Can't say enough about the breakfast......the best we've had on our annual trips to and from Florida. Will definitely stay again!

The room was mostly very clean, had some trouble understanding the settings on the fridge and so we had our food ruined (simple instructions would have been appreciated). What impressed me most was that it seemed like everyone was always cleaning, blowing leaves, emptying trash, etc. the staff was always friendly too. Breakfast had many options too. But! Unless you are a fan of military aircraft flying overhead, be aware that there is an army airstrip behind the hotel. Now, for me, that was a huge bonus to see and hear the rumble of cargo planes and chinook helicopters and to see them flying so close to the building (like I was worried a few times that they might hit the building). I did fear that I was disturbing the people underneath me because I would up and run every time I heard them coming. This might not be an experience that everyone wants, especially when five of them flew over around 2:30-3:00 am. So if you are a heavy sleeper, have kids who would find it exciting or would find it exciting yourself, this is a great bonus. If you can’t get back to sleep after being woken up…this is not the place for you!

We were told we were getting a quiet room. The noise from the neighbors both to our side and upstairs was very annoying and continuous. The breakfast was inedible.

This was a last minute stay. I felt very unsafe, it felt unclean, the 2nd bed looked like it had already been slept in or at the very least sat on. There was hair in the tub, and I’m so thankful that I didn’t get sick, because I was afraid of the toilet. The lady at breakfast was yelling across the room at customers instead of moving from her “spot” to help them.

This hotel was absolutely the best stay for us. It was clean, updated and quiet. Just what we needed. Plenty of spaces for parking. Felt very safe here.

It was nice to be able to do a late checkout, we were running behind and werent going to make it out by 11 so we asked if we could check out later and they let us checkout at noon instead for $20. I didnt like the fact that they seemed to hover, we put the do not disturb sign up and almost everyday that i came out of the room to see if we needed towels, we brought our own towels because hotel towels are too small so i was only using theirs for my hair. If we need towels or trash taken, we could have just called the front desk or taken our own trash out. Also they all sat in the next room waiting for us with the door open to get out of the room, which I thought was a bit excessive. Other than that the stay was good, I'd probably stay here again.

The room is spacious. However I booked a non smoking room and as soon as I walked in the room reaked of smoke. There was also long strands of hair in the sink. I know they aren’t mine (traveled by myself) because I just finished chemo and don’t have any on my head…..

This is a first. After driving all day we made it to the hotel just before we crashed for the night. We woke up early and groggy, still needing to continue the journey. My partner hopped into the shower and unknowingly grabbed a used and soiled dirty rag. Sensing something wrong, she grabbed the other rag--but it was dirty and used too! I didn't know that this had taken place because she was kind enough to walk to the front desk and get me a clean rag. Yuck! Had I learned about it sooner, someone would have gotten a mouthful.

We booked with Hotels.com because we had been given gift cards. When booking on line it would not accept the gift card as payment but said it could be used at check in. At check in they said the money had been taken from our account already so we could not use the gift card. We are Best Western members so if we had not tried to use the gift card and booked directly we would have received double points. We still have $150 in gift cards and no idea how to use them. We don’t live in USA so cannot even try again until January. Extremely disappointed.

Very nice room. It was very cool and the shower workef well. It was spacious room that wasvvery clean and the bed was comfortable. Being on the ground floor with our door facing the out, I was afraid there wouldbe alot of outside noise, but that wasn't the case at all. It was a very quiet room and we slept very well. The breakfast, though not elaborate, was hot and fresh and the area very clean. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. Daily housekeeping was provided which is truly appreciated, since most don't offer that service as much any more. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommended this motel.

It was fine for what it was. The staff was very friendly. The area around it was not the best. It’s behind a Waffle House, which on the one hand is great because you love food. On the other hand, it’s WaHo which means you might be around fights. Other than that the location itself is good. It’s right by the mall.

For the most part, the place was okay. Our room did have an ant problem but luckily as long as you cleaned up any spills immediately you didn't have a problem. But if you let it sit there for 5 minutes, you can bet there will be a swarm of ants all over it. It happened the 1st night we were there and it took me forever to go to sleep. I felt like I had OCD. I kept checking the sheets for bed bugs and the floors for ants. But thankfully there never was any to be found and that was the only incidents of ants. That we could tell. i'm still scratching all over just thinking about it.

Easy check in but they do require a $150 security deposit. Very clean, great motel parking and the area has a selection of eateries. We went to Toni's and enjoyed a selection of appetizers. Breakfast was the usual selection of scrambled eggs, sausage and cereals.

They have NO a/c on our room was 87° it took over 2 hrs. to cool down. Dead dried up frog in middle of the floor, needs new matress and pillows. Would not stay here again.

From start to finish, we had an exceptional experience at Best Western Central Inn. It was really clean especially the breakfast area. The rooms were spotless and modern. The WiFi was strong so I was able to telecommute to work and not experience any lag or dropped signals. Also, it was easy to get to downtown and SCAD. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back to stay here.

The first room that they gave me smelled really bad and they had switch me to another room. The breakfast is terrible as there aren’t many options and the food is not the best. Also it is very crowded in the morning as the room is very small. They also didn’t want to give me my receipt at checkout. This was an issue as I gave them $150 deposit and we wanted to confirm that it went back to my card to double check and they refused to give us the receipt because we reserved through Expedia but we gave them the deposit directly to the hotel not through a third party.

Manager was very rude not much of a people person. Made simple mistake of booking wrong night after driving 10 hours. He was not understanding or polite at all. Charge overdraft fee on my bank account told me it was my problem. Mother of 3 just got in remission from stage 3 breast cancer. Trying to just enjoy my time with my family with out getting robbed out of money when never stayed that night and called with in 24 to let them know. Still didnt care just worried about get more money.

Only true negative I can recall in my conversation with my friend who traveled with me is that the toilet/shower room desperately needs an exhaust fan. Room was STEAMY and made actually drying off a challenge.

This street motel was clean enough with plenty of parking spots. The room is pretty small and double beds are tiny for 2 people to sleep in. The worst part that the hotel is located next to military airbase and the helicopters fly over every 2 to 5 minutes. If you turn off the ac unit there is no way to sleep at all. The ac unit located next to bed and blows straight to the face.

The AC was off upon my arrival for energy conservation but it would’ve been nice to not have such a hot stuffy room for the first few hours after having a long hot day. I was followed by a questionable individual from the gas station across the street after I went over to grab a drink. The individual then continued to stumble around the motel parking lot for a bit. While not indicative of the motel itself, I could see having more issues like that due to the location.
