Helpful with shuttle to Airport

We only stayed one night but the staff was super helpful, curtious and accommodating. One issue, they never responded to my text message asking about the airport shuttle. I sent the inquiry weeks before our visit and even sent a follow up a day or so before our visit - no response. Other than that we had zero issues with the hotel and its staff. We'd certainly stay there again.

Location was convenient. Room 109! This is a ground floor room near an exit door, food prep area, etc. Room 107, next door, is the closest to the front desk, and I'm fairly certain it had overnight hotel staff hanging out in the room. They were talking loudly, and we could hear them very easily.. We finally called at 3 am because we could not sleep due to the noise. This should be a room of last resort. Not sure what I did to piss off the front desk staff to get assigned that crappy room.

The breakfast buffet had a variety of options but not high quality. Pretty much grab and go. It was .. okay. Room was a room. Decent space. The wall unit does not turn the AC on, you need to use the window unit to turn it on. Staff was polite, friendly and responsive. The bar was not open while I was there though. Something about not currently having a bar tender on staff. But the sister property next door had a slightly bigger bar. Also, again, nothing special but you can certainly grab a glass or 4.

Breakfast was fantastic!!! waffles, eggs, little spinach, quiches, bagels, muffins, oatmeal with all the fixings. And the coffee was actually delicious.

Amenities advertised included an airport shuttle. This was the major reason for my stay. Once I got there, I was told I could not leave my car. An airport shuttle is useless if you cannot leave your car.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was perfect with easy access to the airport, which made travelling stress-free. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a convenient and enjoyable place to stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious, and the nice lady who tended to the breaking area was an absolute delight. She showed care and attention for every single person who came for breakfast.

Parking was easy though the lot was pretty full and shared with another hotel. Staff was helpful, especially the lady in charge of the breakfast area. She was constantly cleaning and restocking and also helping customers with quick tips to make things go more smoothly. The room was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet as we were next to the elevator and never heard it at all. Impressive.

Clean room. I wish housekeeping would have made up the bed but they didn’t. Maybe that’s not part of their process anymore but it would have been nice to come back to a clean and made up room. Other than that it was a very nice stay.

I always choose this hotel when flying out of Richmond. The front desk clerk was very friendly, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, I sleep like a baby. The breakfast was ok, sausage need to be cooked more and food was cold. Our driver to airport was very nice , thanks Karen.

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We were there on Mother's Day and the breakfast buffet staff wished us Happy Mother's Day. We also got great advice on local areas from the front desk staff. Thank you!

The hotel was exceptional in many ways. The room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very nice with plenty of towels. The workout room has great treadmills and a wide assortment of dumbbells. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel. Typical waffle machine. Cereal with Silk Oat milk. Toppings available with granola. Flax seeds. Pumpkin seeds, walnut halves. Coconut flakes. Craisins, and more. Cage free scrambled eggs fresh cooked. Spinach kiesch. Turkey sausage, and bacon. A variety bagel bar. Fruit. Juice. It was nice. The area was very clean. Cleaning lady was very nice. The indoor pool. Which I had planned on relaxing in for several hours was closed. Pool was the only issue. It was closed due to maintenance. I should get at least $50 refund since it was advertised on the website that there’s a n indoor pool with a picture that looks like working. It’s a false advertisement.

Just the USB outlets in our room did not work.

The facility is new, clean, and close to the airport. The buffet is satisfying and the weekend lady attendant at the buffet is very sweet and helpful and cheerful. Parking is plentiful and there are restaurants, stores and fast food nearby. Cons- the walls are paper-thin. We heard everyone and everything. We could hear one neighbor on a zoom call and literally understood everything he said. We could hear housekeeping in the hallway and another neighbor’s tv show and we could even tell what show they were watching. Some of the staff was great and some were definitely needing more training. The lobby concessions were very overpriced. The rooms heat and air conditioning fan was very noisy and I was told that they were all that way. We stayed 4 nights and one of those days asked for housekeeping to freshen the room. Housekeeping entered and emptied the trash, gave us fresh towels and made ONE bed but left the other unmade and didn’t vacuum or clean the bathroom. Overall this was a disappointing stay and we will not stay at another Fairfield inn.

The quality of the hotel met my expectations. Professional staff and no negative surprises. The lady at the cafeteria was very nice and helpful.

The staff was very accommodating and pleasant at all times Miss Kerri was our favorite. She helped us with breakfast every morning and also drove us to the airport. During all of our interactions, she always had a smile on her face and a kind word for every person in the vicinity. I would come back to the hotel just because of her.

During our stay, the indoor pool was unavailable. I was traveling with 2 kids that was looking forward to that the most. However the staff was amazing from beginning to end and the facilities were clean!

The location was great for my business trip.

The hotel is nice and clean the staff is great. They provide many restaurant recommendations and distance from hotel. The bathrooms on each stay they missed a few areas. Nothing major, but visible they do a close once over before they leave would clear up that problem. Otherwise, great stay for a business trip.

In general, the property was decent. Our room was nothing out of the ordinary (it could have used another chair besides the desk chair). And we had a bad experience with housekeeping. The breakfasts were good.

Also Expedia let us book a double queen room and when we got there we were informed there were only King rooms with a sofa bed. Had a very uncomfortable night.

The hotel isn’t bad. I was placed at the end of the exit door and then the people above me child was jumping up and down and making a lot of noise. So I didn’t enjoy my stay. Hotel is nice and well kept. Room is average nothing special. Not worth the price $162 price but i know location matters. Plenty parking and you will get a parking perrmit

I liked the queen suite rooms being nice and open and the bedside book reading light Good breakfast as well The pool had a cloudy film on top of the water, everyone in my party swam and our skin was itchy and had sand-like grit on our skin from excess chlorine… the pool was not cleaned well The rooms shower wouldn’t drain.. I was standing in a few inches of water with other people’s hair clogging the drain. There was pubic hair in the corner of the bathtub that I noticed after I began my shower.. just gross

Staff was amazing! Upon check-in our room was upgraded which was so nice. It always nice to have a hot breakfast available during the week with plenty of options.

The lady who manages the breakfast is also the shuttle driver. She is very pleasant and takes good care of people at breakfast.

we had an unexpected stay at this hotel due to the blizzard that hit Rhode Island… The staff at the Fairfield Marriott was wonderful… They were so very accommodating… And worked with us on extending our stay… I would highly recommend this hotel.... They helped us make lemonade out of lemons.

It was wonderful, welcoming, and very appreciated. The staff was very nice and gave us a ride to the airport the next day do we could pick up our rental, which we also missed due to the delayed flight. The hotel was comfortable and very conveniently close to the airport. Highly recommend.

The temperature in the room stayed between 66 - 69. To turn on the heat, I had to constantly turn the wall thermostat off and on for the heat to cut on and it only worked for a few minutes.

The hotel and staff is great. However better maintenance might need to be addressed. The first night the heater did not respond to the wall thermostat so the room was about 65 my entire stay. A few days later, I needed a room because of weather delay of my flight so I reserved a second time. This time the TV did not function. But all in all, this is a beautiful hotel and I would stay there again.

The staff was wonderful but the rooms cleanliness wasn’t ideal. There was hair on the bed, in the sink and on the shower wall. The floors in the bathroom were dirty. But the staff was pleasant and we had a quick stay.

Convenient location to Mankin Mansion, where we attended a wedding. Hotel staff were friendly and the Front Desk person kindly accommodated our request for an early check-in. Marriott properties have consistently provided great customer service.

The staff were super helpful and friendly; especially Jerome Forehand. He made a great suggestion regarding returning our rental car. he said to return the rental car the night before our flight(6:00 AM). he said that they would pick us up at the airport and take us to the airport which was 4:00 AM. his suggestion saves us the hassle of returning the car in the morning. Just an overall great experience; the room and the breakfast. Keep up your good work.

The property was in the perfect location for an early morning flight out of Richmond. The shuttle runs to accommodate most flights, and the shuttle drivers at night (Todd?) and in the early morning (woman who organizes breakfasts) were super friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and well designed, and it was quiet.

Hotel parking under construction, hotel entrance smells like cigarette, same for elevators, hotel room AC smells musty, microwave smells like it was never cleaned. Requested expedia for refund and hotel declined. Manager is rude and not accommodating after we asked her to smell the room and microwave. Not sure how this hotel receive a 9star rating, which is the only reason why we booked it.

The bathroom wallpaper was bubbling and looked like an incomplete rush job. The room overall was nice

The suite was the best one we've had in a long time! Room was very clean and comfortable. Pool was also great. Breakfast was pretty standard. What made this stay excellent was the customer service. Everyone from the front desk to the cleaners and breakfast staff were so pleasant, engaging, and helpful. Definitely will stay again when we are in the area!

The surrounding area of this property had a lot of construction going on which made the parking lot look sketchy getting into. The overall stay and property was decent. The rooms are nice, but the doors shut VERY loudly. Shuttle service was okay but we made a reservation for 4am and there was no room for us at that time which delayed us to getting to the airport. The front desk was also having a hard time seeing the 3rd party bookings so check in wasn’t smooth. Would stay again if we needed to be by the airport though.

Hotel and breakfast was great. Safe, clean, good service. convenient to airport, good price. I guess it can't be helped, but all the construction outside made it a little inconvenient to get into the parking area, but, again, the price of improvements I guess.

Hotel staff was exceptional. Very friendly, very helpful. The parking lot is in disarray due to the hotel going up next door, so the entrance was a little confusing. We rate all of the following with 5 stars, chec-n process, staff, room, cleanliness, shuttle to/from airport, breakfast buffet, checkout.

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate unexpected travel changes. Gym was pretty well equipped and pool was clean.

The room was good. Bit disappointed to see hair on the floor from the previous users of the room. Looked like it could have been cleaned a bit more. Perhaps vacuum when given the chance.

Wet dirty towel in bathtub. Comforter smelled like body odor.

Only downside to this location at the time was the construction going on next door. The staff was wonderful and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Close to airport

We ended up staying in Richmond an extra night because of flight delays. We really appreciated how quickly the shuttle came for us and was able to get us back to the airport the next morning. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. A great place to stay for a last-minute schedule change.

The two women who helped me check in were so kind and helpful and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was amazing. The shower had plenty of water pressure. It was a really good day.

New facility. Everything is so nice. Good access to interstate and airport. Other construction nearby didn’t affect our stay.

Staff was super nice and the airport shuttle was very convenient. The hotel is newer or has been upgraded so the room was great. But the surrounding area was not very safe feeling for a female.

For the cost of the room, I expected a little more of an upscaled experience. The lobby/dining area was very hot, almost as if the AC was not working properly. The indoor pool was advertised as heated, and it was not, and was pretty dirty. There was parking in the back of the property, as there were limited spots in front due to nearby hotel construction, but none of the side doors worked with a key card as they should. It made unloading our bags from our car pretty inconvenient. Our room was nice and spacious, but I just expected more.

I read reviews before I booked at this hotel even though it was a last minute booking due to an airport delay. The reviews mentioned that the staff was so great and I agree. From my first phone call inquiring about their airport shuttle, to the shuttle pickup, drop off the next morning and the folks at the front desk --everybody was so great! I only got one name, Michelle, but I wanted to make sure she was recognized. They were so caring and even asked about our well-being after we got caught in the rain! Bonus: It's a great location next to walkable restaurants.

We enjoyed staying here. We had a room with two queens and a sofa bed. The room was spacious and very clean. The only downside was the construction outside that just impacted the access in slightly, but there was no noise.

The people was nice but the room was dirty and i called down to the front desk to have someone come and vacuum they never came so i found housekeeping and they came to clean up. The free breakfast wasn't that great. They could have benefitted from a extra waffle machine the wait time was very long because they only had one machine.

It has been horrible. A couple next to my room was arguing for almost two hours and the hotel staff would do nothing but “ask them to be quiet”. Now it is 1am and I am stressed and exhausted. Horrible service and environment and the parking lot doesn’t have enough spaces so I had to walk through a pothole ridden area from a construction zone. A refund would be nice but it wouldn’t give me back my peace and sleep I am losing. Will literally NEVER come here again and will tell everyone I know to stay clear.

I loved this hotel! It is my new go to when I stay to fly out of Richmond. The 3 star was only because of construction of a new hotel beside it. Staff was friendly the facility and new and squeaky clean. The complimentary breakfast was elevated food options and had plenty of seating.

I will not stay at this property again. So much construction outside the hotel & no or very little parking available. The room was clean but very hot when I arrived and the AC was broken and so loud with all the constant clanging that I left the hotel at 5 am (and I arrived at 1am due to a delayed flight) this place needs a lot of maintenance.

I didn't have any issues outside of the rude front desk staff. The morning I left there were different staff in front and they were great. All in all I would stay here again, for sure.

Parking lot construction. Breakfast was not close to Fairfield standards. Oatmeal bar had all the fruits and nuts, but no oatmeal except Quaker instant oats which are already over sweetened and NOT oats. Coffee was out the entire time I was trying to enjoy breakfast.

This hotel is affordable,,very clean , nice bed,close to the airport,shuttle to and from airport,breakfast a plus . 30 minutes from Richmond university.

There's construction going on in front of the hotel so it's hard to see, it seems to look like it's been closed. There was no hand soap or hand lotion or anything around the sink. I took pictures. There was giant mosquitoes in the windows. I noticing until the morning I woke up full of bites all night people were loud coming in and out. It went on until around two in the morning.
