Got in late and found the room looking as if someone hadn’t checked out! Watermarks on the beside stand and used soap in the bathroom. McDonald’s nearby that was loud with fights breaking out overnight in the parking lot. Will never stay here again. Not sure where the “Very good” rating comes from on Expedia….staff trying to increase rating???

The price was decent. The rooms were clean. The staff was great. And the bed wasn't trash. My husband has sleep apnea. But he slept really good. Didn't hold his breath.

Checked in. Wanted to take shower but the water was off. I call front desk. Had us switch rooms but the water was off again. Then they told us they just found out about it and that it will be on in 30min. We'll 2hrs and 30min passes by and still waiting. The floor panels are coming off the floor. Won't come back here again.

Staff was efficient and attentive. Safe Property and very simple. Room had a strange smell when we were entered. Rooms were quiet and blackout curtains were much needed. The freeway is very close but at night there is not cars so very quiet. - perfect for a turnaround location.

I booked a room here based on the reviews and stars thinkin they were clean and maintained. I was ripped off. Rooms are not what they look like online. Rooms were filthy, blankets/ towels stained and the restroom seemed like it wasn’t clean. Definitely dnt recommend

Rooms need to be updated with repairs. The hardwood floors are falling apart and the beds needs to be replaced with new linen. There are constantly people checking in all night which makes it harder to have a good nights rest

It was a bed. Very worn down property. Exterior was decently maintained but the room was not. A/C was broken, bed was ok but the bedding was rough. Area was pretty decent.

Parking was easy. This was the cleanest motel I have stayed in San Diego. No cigarette smells. No bugs. Bathroom was very clean. This is one of the best hotels in San Diego.

Let me start off by saying the whiff of an old person who smokes 5 packs a day, that hits you when you open a non smoking room door was astounding. It smelled so incredibly bad inside and was extremely dirty. Floor is some sort of wood and it’s so dirty like it’s never been clean. Sheets were from the 80’s and stank. Worst thing about this place was there was ROACHES in the room, so disgusting. The door has a large gap under big enough for a mouse to get through. Do not stay here!! So nasty.

The tv worked well and the motel is in a good area No room phone. No soap in the room.. we had to request some. No wash cloths and not enough towels. No elevator on site. We had to carry our luggage upstairs. Were both older adults.

You get what you pay for I only got a room at this hotel because I was gonna be going to Tijuana and I figured it’s close. I’ll just drive and park near the border. It’ll be cheaper than taking an Uber from San Diego looking back. I wish I would’ve just got a nicer hotel in San Diego and drove.

Close to the cbx boarder crossing which is why we stayed there. Rooms were clean and spacious with a small refrigerator and microwave. Short walk to a McDonald’s!

The area was close to all freeways and a variety of restaurants and stores. The outlets were less than aile away. The freeways were super close but it was nice and quiet inside my room. Also, there were hairs all over the bath towels. The clean ones that they provided us with. Yuck.

Location is noisy. Next to 5 freeway. I knew it thoug The bed didn't smell clean. I asked the housekeeper to change the linen and she did. The clerk at the front desk scanned my credit card and I asked him why? He said "I'm sorry" i asked him to delete it but we know once they have it they can retrieve it later if they want to. I had to cancel that card and get a new one :(

It was easy to get in and out of!! Near fast food places!! Had a very nice outdoor pool area!! McDonald’s was right across the parking lot with a nice play area!! The floors in the room we were in turned our feet black! I thought they were dirty, so I bought a mop, mopped the floor and for that day they were fine, by the next morning same thing, it was something in the floors themselves, like maybe they needed to be sealed!!

The fact it was near a McDonalds and Starbucks was helpful, but that was all that I can think of that was positive. Not much to like other than the price, which was high for what we got. The room was not properly cleaned. The sheets and blankets may have been 30 years old. There were some seeds of some sort that handn't been cleaned up sitting on the ground. The bathroom and shower were outdated and difficult to tolerate. As a last resort, I'd use this place.

Bath tub remodel was useless had to call Emergency Services to help me out there was no border where tile was ( not at all up to building code) room was dirty and repairs were beyond sub standard! There were drug deals in the parking lot and we left in the middle of the night!

I checked in at around 9 pm and all the towels were slightly wet. Found cockroaches in the bathroom every night, all outside sounds can be heard thru the door, floors were dirty and I could hear every footstep from the room above.

I honestly like how it was surrounded with places to eat and it had a grocery store near. My only concern was just some of the furniture was a little wobbly and there was no vent in those rooms. But other than that, it was affordable and comfortable for me.

Decent location. Housekeeping staff was friendly, front desk staff was okay. Room had fridge and microwave, as well as decent channels on the tv. The floor of our room was VERY dirty. I walked from the bathroom to the bed barefoot and my feet were almost black (I had just showered). Also, the wifi wasn’t working for the first day and a half we were there, which is included in the price, so that was a bummer. Also, no iron or ironing board which is pretty typical for motels/hotels.

Not only was the room really grimy and dirty (grime on the walls, mold around the bottom of the tub, bad smell when walking in), but the beds were very uncomfortable and saggy in the middle.

Rooms here are very very spacious. You literally could, if you wanted to, slide the king size mattress right off the bed frame onto the floor and still have enough floor space to walk between the bed frame and now the mattress on the floor along with between the mattress and the wall that has the bathroom on the other side of it. Not to mention the good 5’ft to 6’ft between the foot of both frame and bed to the wall that divides the rooms. Besides being ridiculously spacious, all rooms have microwaves & refrigerators at no extra charge. You can’t say that if you stay at Motel “?”. But at least they’ll leave the light on for ya. That way you can see that to can’t keep your food cold or heat up whatever the heck you’d like to heat up. LoL Oh yeah there’s a McDonald’s directly across the parking lot maybe 45’ft to 50’ft from your Valli Hi room door to the front door of McDonalds.

Rouches in the bathroom, ac makes a lot of noise, it’s old or needs a tune up. Extractor fan in the bathroom was dusty/dirty. Pillows were worn out, in bad shape, so badly that couldn’t sleep at night, they all need to be replaced for new ones. A lot of noise from the highway at night, hard to sleep.

The bathroom door was broken, and the bed was designed for a single person, not two. I had booked a room for four people, but I ended up with a room for two because the bed was incredibly small. I was really disappointed.

I spend about 30 nights per year here. The proximity to both Tijuana(I visit from Puerto Vallarta), and all of San Diego county by MTS and the trolley system, and the motel is the reason. Safe, secure and clean.

The area is busy and crowded. It's an old city near Camp Pendleton. The hotel itself was nice though. I used Uber eats when I needed anything from town. Just made my stay a bit more relaxing not having to drive in that town.
