It’s a little dated but it’s near everything! I will definitely stay there again!

Hotel has limitations about the shuttle to and from the airport. There is a need for people to know the time limitations before they book a room. I was expecting a shuttle to pick me up only to find out that after a certain time... there is no shuttle service. Disappointed.

The location is wonderful, with amazing views of the bay. The shuttle service to the airport worked perfectly and the driver was kind, helpful, organized, and efficient.

The hotel layout is odd, making the pathway to find the room a bit creepy. Many functions are not working - the pool is closed, the fitness room is not working, and the AC in my room is also not working. But the staff is friendly. The breakfast is also very basic.

Staff was AMAZING! Jennifer in particular was really helpful and polite. Shuttle service was much appreciated. Bicycles were a great idea!

Parking is expensive, they've charged me for parking then i realized that i can park for free outside the hotel but they refused to refund my payment for parking fees although it was after 10 minutes from my check in!!!

There was no healthy options for breakfast very limited variety, mostly pastries, and sweet drinks. No plain yogurt. The other thing is the shuttle doesn’t start until 0600 AM

Nice, quiet hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was ok. I'm only deducting a point because the hot tub was not working and that was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. It needs some maintenance. The carpet on the stairs going up had gray tape to avoid seeing it was torn up. This hotel is on a marina that has definitely seen better days. I don't think is a working marina because we didn't see any boats but me and my son enjoyed the walk around the hotel. I honestly think they shouldn't be charging for parking lot since the place is just not gated. Overall, it was ok to stay here.

Well the rugs in our room turned our feet black, the clientele were smoking, others had the cops called on them; elevators were super creaky, parking is $18/day for an uncovered space in a lot shared with a restaurant, and the boats in the pictures have abandoned the pier. Pool area unkept and hot tub has apparently been out of service for months.

The hotel felt quite outdated overall. There was a strong smell of marijuana throughout the first floor and common areas, which made the environment unpleasant. The furniture inside the room looked old and worn, and there was also a noticeable amount of dust. Unfortunately, cleanliness and maintenance did not meet expectations, and the overall experience was disappointing.

I had a great room overlooking the San Francisco harbor. The breakfast options provided by the hotel were great. The free shuttle within 3 miles and to the Oakland Airport were a nice addition. The bus stop is close by and the BART station is a free shuttle away.

My room had a strong smoke smell I asked the front desk if it was a nonsmoking room they said yes it was and if they could give us other room i was willing to pay the difference in price for a upgrade they said they couldn’t move us to other room because they were booked. We went to buy all kind of stuff to make it smell better and we air the room all the time it wasn’t pleasant. Also the jacuzzi it wasn’t working and the pool was no well maintained there were ducks swimming in it and duck poop at the bottom.

Room was nice and clean. Continental breakfast was very good.. Included boiled eggs, waffles, danish, oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, breads. Better than most continental breakfasts. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go to the pool. The place is a bit dated, BUT, that is not a bad thing. It gives this place some charm and identity, nut like most of the new hotels which are large boxes.

Everything went smoothly from having the Airport shuttle pick us up to check-in.

This hotel was dated, yet clean, friendly, and functional. My son and I needed somewhere to stay before our early flight out of Oakland and this place was perfect. We liked the quiet location by the marina and the fact that we could walk next door for dinner. We slept well and being close to the airport made our travel day far less stressful with a 6am departure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

This is a solid hotel in a lovely area with lots of parks and walking along the marina. The breakfast, room, staff, amenities definitely meet expectations. This was not an overly expensive hotel, so what was provided for the price was super.

Lots of great family food spots in the area. Near a park and golf course. I enjoyed every second of my stay.

Stayed 4 days. The place was clean. Breakfast was okay. The area is very accessible to the bart station. Tha staff are nice. Free shuttle from and to the airport.

One drain was slow in the sink, the hot tub was out of order, and that is partly why I booked there! I have stayed there many times, this is the first time I had to call the desk about other visitors that were loud all night long! And the first time the hot tub was out of order! I never saw the security that is suppose to patrol the parking lot, that is why they charge for parking, so I was told! The power went out due to the storm, it would have been nice to have a flash light in the room, luckily I had one in my purse! Not my most fun stay, at the Marina Inn, however the occasions that brought me back to San Leandro I did enjoy! Serve yourself continental breakfast was fine. Staff was helpful! Next time I will be sure to inquire whether the hot tub is iut and running.

I liked that the room was clean and pleasant. Towels were not the highest quality, but there were plenty of them. The room was spacious, and the TV worked. The cookies (available after 5pm) were delicious. I wished the breakfast had more protein options like eggs, bacon, sausage. I also wished the parking fee was not so high. On a per-day basis that costs adds up, especially if you are travelling for leisure.

Room is clean being down stairs was horrible with people on top where so loud and stomping all night with loud music. It was my second time being there the 1st time was great. And the parking was expensive $18 a night I never had to pay for parking at a hotel. Staff was awesome like always.

The front desk staff was amazing I believe the gentleman's name was Hector who checked us in.. so kind so generous with his words, and even gave us free appetizers to the restaurant next door. It was an incredible find and it was an accidental find. Our room was right on the water absolutely beautiful. Quick Uber ride to the San Francisco Airport I highly recommend this place I Left My heart in San Francisco

We stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. The location is excellent—right by the bay and conveniently close to major freeways and San Francisco. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed both the room and the breakfast. Overall, it offers great value for the price!

Well I was really disappointed to find out after getting there despite my pictures online showing I would get a balcony to find out it’s a $50 upgrade. The hot tub is currently broken and the pool wasn’t properly cleaned when we got there it was a bit dirty

They had make your own waffles (2 machines), bagels, breakfast pastries, yogurt, oj, cranberry juice, milk, chocolate milk, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, fruit cups, Toast, butter, jam, hard boiled eggs.

The best part of the stay was the friendly staff. The breakfast is standard for a motel. The rooms are dirty and the pillows are incredibly lumpy and firm. Bring your own pillow if you plan on staying here.

The hot tub was not working during our stay. There was a sign on th door that looks like it’s been there a while saying that the hot tub was out of service. But they do have a heated pool and we went swimming at night and the pool was nice. The rooms were clean and a great size and the air conditioning worked excellent. The place was nice and quiet at all hours of the day. The staff was all extremely nice and helpful and made sure that we had the accommodations we needed for wheelchair access. The outside property is a bit dated and could use some work but that is the only thing I saw wrong with the place. I would definitely stay there again

The room is very outdated and walls are paper thin but the hotel staff were helpful and kind. The first room I was assigned had extremely loud neighbors and they were able to move me to another room. Waking up to the Marina views was very beautiful but being right in flight path made sleeping very hard since the room and windows rattled every hour or so.

No it wasn’t very much choices and everyone was rude, my son dropped a syrup it was closed up but was unable to grab it right away his hands was full I just about to set down my coffee and pick it up when the staff worker picked it up and said something foul in Spanish I understood what she said I speak Spanish.

Room was very fitting for me and my family with a nice view of the marina and the continental breakfast was actually pretty decent. The staff was very helpful and my only reason for not giving this place 5 stars was due to the lack of WiFi/phone reception on the premises and the hot tub being down. We specifically booked this place with hopes of relaxing in the hot tub so that was quite disappointing to find out it was down after check in.

The location was great, room was very clean There were not many outlets that were available, there was one extention cord outlet attached to the desk which was across from the bed.

This hotel was comfortable, clean, offered a beautiful view of the marina, free “bike” usage, a typical continental breakfast (although a longer breakfast time than most hotels we have stayed at, and kind, polite staff. The only “downside” was the hot tub was not in service and the weight room had no weights (we were told they had been stolen). The hot tub was a regrettable experience however, everything else was enjoyable. We would return again should we decide to visit the area and stay overnight.

The room itself had a musty smell, and the water never got properly hot during our stay, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the room was cleaned, and the breakfast was okay. Overall, there were some basic comfort and service issues that made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

I had a great stay at the Marina Inn. It was a quick 4 min. walk to the bus stop, and I was able to make it to San Francisco daily. My room was clean, and the staff members were friendly. They come through and replaced towels and wash cloths daily. A member of the cleaning crew recommended Horatio’s, a restaurant that is about a 3 minute walk away. The food was great and I like how nearby it was.

Stayed here before an early flight out of OAK. The staff here were really professional and hospitable. Kudos to whomever is training & managing them. Loved the relaxing waterfront location - plenty of walking trails nearby. The building itself was a little dated, but still cute and comfortable. Im afraid the pillows were horrid: really hard and uncomfortable. Heat/air conditioning worked well. Free airport shuttle is nice (but it doesn't start until 6 am and we had to be at the airport at 5 am). I’d stay here again (and bring my own pillow).

Make sure you catch the $18 parking fee on their website but not listed on the Orbitz website. Also keep in mind airport shuttle does not start until 9 AM on the weekends 6 AM during the weekdays so please plan your day accordingly.

Marina has always been a favorite spot to stay when visiting Oakland area. Last several times the pool and hot tub have been closed for repair and no longer serve warm cookies in the evening.

Staff was excellent. Very friendly. Room was very clean, but also very wore out. Needs painted and updated for sure. Elevator made terrifying, mechanical sounds. Not happy i called the day before we arrived to make sure all amenties were open and useable, upon check in was told the hot tub had been down for days. Not happy as that was one of the draws for oir short stay. Breakfast was a total joke. Old bagels (no cream cheese). One waffle maker for 30 people. No other hot foods. Banana only fruit choice. No yogurt. Again, this was one of the reasons we choose the Inn.

We enjoyed our stay at the Marina Inn. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and excellent location if you’re looking to be just far enough away from the hustle & bustle. Love that they provide a complimentary shuttle to the Oakland Airport. We look forward to staying here again soon!

Everything was good. The beds were comfortable which is the most important thing for me. Convenient location with a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Simple continental breakfast and free coffee in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again.

There was power outage one night while I was there. Not their fault. No elevator working and going down 3 flights of stairs with luggage is not fun for 81 year old people. The $18 dollar parking fee at this motel is only place I have stayed that charges for parking. I had an issue that I wanted to speak to the manager about. Left one voice mail and waited on phone second call much too long so hung up.Hershall(management) is not responsive. Not a good sign.

It's supposed to be the Marina Inn, but the marina is empty/closed and the road to the ocean was also closed (though you can walk there). We thought it'd be a beautiful environment but it was disappointing. The hotel itself is great.

Location Paying for parking now. Me and husband drive in. So we have two cars normally I been going there for years no parking. Everything is sweet now. No more waffles or eggs.

I booked the rooms because Expedia said there was free shuttle from SFO. When I called the hotel to schedule the shuttle, they said only shuttle service from Oakland and they wouldn't cancel the reservation. This cost me $260 in Uber rides. The hotel rooms were below average (worn out) and inexpensive.

Nice place to stay. The staff are very helpful. They were willing to open the pool for us even on a rainy December evening. The nearby restaurant, Horatio's, is an excellent dining experience - everything cooked to perfection.

Such a warm and welcoming hotel! Last minute find, so we worried but as soon as we walked in mu husband and i were greeted by friendly staff and a beautiful holiday display! The hotel was super clean and quiet too! We will definitely be back with the kids next time since the park and water are so close by!

Hot tob was not working, which makes the difference between nice stay and just staying at a hotel. Breakfast is pretty sad. Everything else was as expected for the price, nice views, $18 for parking is a little steep for the area. Staff was very friendly.

We were here for a golf tournament at Monarch Bay, and it is so close! The front seat is so friendly and knowledgeable. We had dinner at Horatio’s and it was five stars! Would stay here again!

Honestly for the price and proximity to San Francisco, this was great. I rented a car so for me the extra travel to the city wasn't a big deal. You do need to get up early to go into the city on the weekdays- but weekends the drive is only about 25 minutes. Very comfy and clean space.

I was already disappointed when I found out that there was a bit of false advertising with the hotel: my search preference was for a hotel close to SFO and with an airport shuttle. The Marina Inn is NOT does nosearch hotel in close proximity to SFO

I did'nt stay in the hotel . It was filthy very neglected. The lobby furniture was filthy , the lobby smelled like dirty carpet just old musty . I went up to the room and smelled like a gym , smelled like feet ! I turned my keys in and stayed in a holiday inn . Im in the process of trying to get a refund . I really think the reviews are fake . The room and place look nothing like the pictures.

I stayed in a deluxe king room but it looked neglected, carpeting could be replaced and the room smelled as if it had been smoked in - even though it was advertised as a non-smoking hotel/room. Disappointed. Secondly, due to my flight getting rebooked to 5:00 pm, the hotel front desk refused a later then 12:00 noon check-out unless I agreed to pay extra. The so called breakfast could use massive improvement.

The Marina location was perfect and I felt so comfortable in the spacious room. There were restaurants close by along with a park, great walking paths, a wetland, and golfing. Superb experience.

No complaints didn’t need a airport shuttle.

If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, hotel stay by the water this is a great choice. When choosing to stay here, there are two things to keep in mind: Breakfast is free and there is a seating area... But it leans towards simple grab and go style. They do not serve eggs or potatoes. (They had bagels, but no cream cheese which was confusing!). The decor has an old-school 80s vibe. If you are looking for a hotel that's more modern in look and feel, skip this one. Despite these two things, the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

We had a delightful view of the marina and bay. The room/bed was great. Wi-fi horrible. There are some signs this property is not being kept up in a quality way. TV monitor has horrible color quality. It should be replaced. On the 3rd floor there is black tape over the carpet seams in several places. And come on… you can only spring for a “continental” breakfast?

The Marina Inn was amazing to stay at. I went with my sister and brother to watch the Mexico vs Japan game. We didn’t have any ideas of what else to do but thankfully there was a park right next to this hotel and it was awesome. They also let you borrow the bikes which is really nice. The staff was helpful and kind. If you are taking the shuttle just let them know in advance when you need it and they’ll be happy to help. I would definitely stay here again!

When we entered our non-smoking room we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke. We asked for a different room and we got it without question. Breakfast was basically coffee, raw fruit, packaged cereal, and pre-packaged store-bought pastries; none of which seemed terribly appealing.

I always listing at the marina Inn when I’m in the Bay Area. It’s very convenient to Uber or Bart to any other city that I need to go to and not have to worry about driving around. The marina Inn has amazing breakfast and overall it’s a place. I will stay as long as it’s available whenever I’m in the bay.

This was one of those times when the marketing didn’t quite match the reality. Conceptually, it should have been a really good stay. The best part was definitely the bed — it was very comfortable. While the property was well kept, it really needs a remodel or makeover; it felt more outdated than rustic. The freshly baked cookies were a nice touch, though. Unfortunately, the continental breakfast was another disappointment — everything was heavy and very gluten-filled. On the bright side, the staff was kind and accommodating. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible stay, but considering the shortcomings, it didn’t feel like the best value.

Beautiful area, clean room, wonderful staff, and the restaurant El Torito had the best food! We had a wonderful time. I just wish the hot tub worked, but that did not take away from the great experience.

1) Paying $18.00 per day for parking. This is not readily mentioned on the website and took me by surprise. 2) This hotel is badly in need of an upgrade. 70's and 80's style fixtures, very small bathtub-shower combo, no usb plugs and limited outlets. 3) The wi-fi was from the early days, very slow and always getting kicked out. The hotel is in a beautiful place but those issues need to be addressed.

The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are clean but very run down. The cabinetry is all scratched and worn. Doors hang off from broken hinges. But otherwise, they're not bad. The property itself is well maintained. The elevators sound like they're in need of servicing. Forcing their customers to pay $18 a day for parking, in an open parking lot with no security is just ridiculous. I've stayed a much better hotels in New Orleans that don't charge for parking. Plus its a shared parking lot with the restaurant next door so can probably just park over there and walk the extra ten yards. Reducing the breakfast down to all packaged garbage you can get at Walmart is just a blatant sign of a cheap owner. Next time I come to town I'll look at the hotels in Hayward instead.

Nice clean place. Felt safe compared to other areas of Oakland we’ve stayed. Staff was kind. Loved overlooking the old harbor and seeing and hearing the planes take off and land. Walls are paper thin, bring earplugs.

1. Upon arrival, not knowing beforehand, i was required to pay an $18 per night parking fee. 2. A guest brought their adult pitt bull and wallked it through the hallways. I had most of my children with me. I complained and they said they only allow service dogs and they were unaware of this. Other than that the hotel was fine

I’m a travel nurse and needed a place to stay. I work Nocturnal shift so it was difficult to check in. It’s was ok the bedding was thin but comfortable.

It felt weird being there

Shuttle to the BART transit was incredible, able to very easily go to the heart of San Fransico without the hassle of parking. Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff was wonderful, helpful and welcoming. Nice area to take an evening walk. Stayed 4 nights and it was a great start to our vacation. Shuttle from airport came very quickly too, at their hotel within 30 minutes of landing. Cannot speak high enough of this hotel.

The hallway smelled like pee and was dark. The breakfast provided was disgusting. Outside people partying all night. Guest in room loud and partying. Front desk was no help. Very disappointing. Don’t believe the photos or other reviews.

What a great little gem for the Bay!

The marina itself has seen better days - it, and the pathway to the nearby El Torito restaurant were either under construction or in disrepair or a little of both. I braved them for beautiful photos of the bay and delicious Mexican food respectively. i didn’t try Horatio’s, but the lady gave me a coupon for a free appetiser at hotel check-in. This might sound mostly negative but it’s not - The Marina Inn is incredibly convenient for early flights out of Oakland, and I cannot emphasise how lovely their staff were, as warm as the California sun. For the price I paid, I am very happy!

I usually have a pleasant stay. I chose a balcony room. Excited for sunsets for September. Shower was not hot for my stay. No fresh waffles. I use to enjoy the fresh breakfast and cookies . I didnt even have boiled eggs or proper fruit and yogurt..I had nothing that appetized me.hoping for a comped night. Improvements should be made to the breakfast options and shower accomodations

The room was clean but needed modernization. I had trouble with the TV and it 2 vists to the room to fix. The breakfast needed more then presented. The closet or wardrobe and suitcase rack was in the bathroom. But the the elevator going up and down all night kept me up all night.

There's. not much out there but it's quiet and I had nice run along the water and there's two nice resturants you can walk to. It's a short uber to both the BART and airport. Hotel right on San Francisco Bay. You need a car. They will shuttle you to nearby Oakland airport. BART is a 10 minute Lyft ride away.

Parking is 18 bucks per night. That's very expensive. In downtown, another hotels charged 5 bucks. I could hear what my upstairs neighbor was doing the entire time I was in the room.

This property needs major renovations. It still looks like it's in the 70's. Hallways were dark and seemed musty. Breakfast was terrible, all carbs and nothing fresh except fruit. Charged for parking when there was absolutely no reason for the charges other than "The owner decided to charge for parking", according to the front desk. Don't waste your money by staying here.

The over all cleanliness of the property was okay. There were areas of the property that needed proper cleaning. The pool was okay given there are spider webs, weeds and dead plants around and the hedges block the view of the marina which is the reason I booked. I didn't plan to stay the entire night just went to enjoy the pool and views on a hot day in the bay.

We had a water front room with balcony. The room was clean and had additional outlets to charge phone and laptop. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple, bagels, fruit and cereals. We loved the 5pm cookies secured fir us by front desk.

The hotel was nice and clean. Very good location to walk around the park by the water. There are two restaurants walking distance as well. They have a free shuttle to take you places close by especially convenient to the airport. It took like 10 to 15 minutes. Would definitely stay there again.

Smooth check in, great location with parkings available, relatively clean. What surprise me is how sturdy the bed is. Bathroom is tucked away from bed and desk area so you won’t feel uncomfortable if somebody can hear your private time, you know what I mean. This place gives me the value I look for in a hotel stay.

This property sits nearly on San Francisco Bay near beautiful Marina Park. The park has a walking loop right on the bay. Its very nice. I had a room on the back of the facility on the second floor. The view was great. The Marina is no longer functional but the wildlife is wonderful. The facility is very clean and staff very nice. I appreciated the reasonable price.

Breakfast should be eliminated for a cheaper stay, 18$ to park is slightly excessive. Breakfast had what was listed online but not worth anything extra. Pool is nice area seems like it use to be a nice area now a fishing hotel.

My wife and I stayed at this property a few years ago. We loved it then, and I loved it now. Staff was outstanding, friendly, professional, and welcoming. I look forward to staying here again.

This place is great and the owners are fantastic worth every penny and it was not expensive they take good care of the property. It’s very pretty. There’s nowhere, where you can’t look that you can’t see something nice! This place is so close to the bay. You don’t need your car, but do you remember the hill is steep as you walk down it to get to the bay!

Everything is clean and they take pride in their services. Just no breakfast and $18 a day for parking when there is so much parking. I don't think they should be charging guests for this. Also there is a restaurant next door and no one pays for parking there but still part of hotel.

Great stay, only complaint is the floors in between rooms needed better insulation. We could hear the people upstairs walking around all night and morning.

Breakfast options were terrible…waffles with no syrup, nothing that was remotely appealing or healthy except fruit and yogurt. NO INTERNET access that is usable. Couldn’t check in or order an Uber.

Rooms are a good size, but dark. Decently maintained, but could use update to the carpet and furnishings to brighten up the room. Acrylic shower floor was patched in many places. Did not like the feel of the sheets. Cotton would feel better.
