Combination of “night club” and hotel makes the entrance very unpleasant. Drunken people, confusing way to the the lobby was not how we wanted to start our vacation.

everything except the graduation party on the same floor as my room. Young girls (12 yo) were running up and down that hallway consistently until 1am. I flew across the country to be at the birth of my grandson, and was exhausted. Not able to sleep until 2am when they finally went to bed. see above. More careful room placement the parties are happening on the 7th floor!

Second time staying at hotel Valencia and service is still phenomenal. I reached out to ask regarding late check out and a crib for my son. The staff was very nice and understanding about the late check out and extended out to 1pm. Crib was in the room by the time we arrived. Also asked for a microwave and fridge but they were maxed out on fridges so they let me use the beverage fridge without being charged. The hotel is very clean and love the smell in the hallway. The character of the building is exquisite. Also I love love their complimentary sangria! Definitely staying here again!

Michelle was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond. My daughter was running the half marathon and she needed to pick up her credentials by 2p. We were going to miss the cutoff. Michelle graciously offered to pick up the packet/credentials so that’s we had it upon check in. 🙏

An absolute gem in the heart of Santana Row in San Jose. Great location, and surprisingly quiet. A lovely terrace adjacent to the bar and restaurant on the lobby floor as well as a roof top open bar makes for great place to hang your hat while visiting San Jose.

Room was not well cleaned and damages to decor . Pool amenities were unavailable despite advertising. We were not advised about pool being under construction upon booking / check in .

Ice machine didn't work on the 6th floor and there there was no sign. Our greatest disappointment was that the pool was under construction on Memorial day weekend and won't be completed til some time in July.

My room floor needed vacuuming, which I did report to the front desk, along with the man in my room, but nothing was resolved by them. I didn’t have internet access in the television, which I did report. They provided free breakfast, but it was never resolved. The room felt older than described in the website. Spent time at the pool, but didn’t go in since it looked dirty. I love the area for the shopping and restaurant options, but for the price of the rooms, I’m still undecided if it’s worth it for next time. I will be spending lots more time in San Jose since my niece attends Santa Clara and may have to look for another hotel.

The housekeeping staff can’t read a do not disturb sign. They came into my room three times. To fill up a minibar. And on the day of check out at 8:30am.

The location was perfect! It was so nice to walk out of the hotel and be in the middle of everything.

Always love the area and hotel when staying in San Jose.

The check-in was good, they accommodated our request for connecting rooms on the quiet side of the hotel. Given its location, the outside car noises were sometimes loud. The rooms are large, which is nice. But the hotel is older and it feels dated and some wear and tear from carpet, walls, bathroom. The housekeeping didn’t automatically make our rooms, but when we called in they came right away. Overall it’s a good hotel for a weekend getaway in the heart of Santana row with easy access to restaurants and shopping.

Food was OK, other places to eat locally are also excellent. Hotel staff were brilliant, very helpful. We will certainly stay again in the near future. Wifi service is poor. Making video calls was tricky. The paid for service kept logging us out despite trying to pay for premium, it wasn't much better. In-room costs for things like bottled water was very expensive.

I love the property. I love the convenience of being right downtown restaurants and shopping, but there was a lot of confusion over the parking situation and charges, but I think they have it all straightened out hopefully??

Which seems to be right above their lounge and right in the corner of the main strip. You can heat music andand cars constantly rubbing their engines. I wasnot able to sleep until 1:30am.

Everything was pretty good. The room was clean and the staff were very courteous. The particular room we had was next to a staff access door and it was a little loud with people going in and out late into the night and early morning, but other than that a good price for the room we had.

I think they gave me a room for guests in wheelchairs. The bathroom was a pain to use. There's no counter space, no storage space, the towel bar is like 8ft from the shower / 7ft from the sink, the shower heard is only about 5' high so you have to sit on the detachable accessibility seat to shower, and no bathroom trashcan. Even when you first get the room, all your towels are on the bed. I would stay again but I'd have to ask if all their rooms are like that or if I we unlucky. If they're all like that, I might reconsider cause it takes away from the relaxation.

The room was good, and the staff were friendly. However, when I checked in at night, the water flow in both the bathtub and the toilet was very slow, and by the next morning the toilet was completely clogged.

Instead I received an average room (imagine Hilton not fancy), extra charge for EVERY THING from internet access that works to parking to non refundable $300. Pet deposit. For $300.00 I could have rented them an upgraded room by the airport for themselves that was nicer than mine. That was almost the same price as my room. There was no food service available, even takeout in the area was limited due to the busy weekend. Who had three places to dine in a hotel and no room service? I’d honestly say pass on this property unless you’re coming for the spa or a summer weekend at the pool. The rooms and hotel ambiance are a bore. Very disappointed.

We really enjoyed our meals at the hotel. We had breakfast, Sunday brunch, lunch and dinner during our 13-night stay. The food was excellent; therefore compliment to the Chef. Our server (a young woman) was great, attentive and patient in explaining to us about the various dishes. We were disappointed with the Guest Services or Front Desk. We asked the Guest Services personnel three times to unlock the refrigerator for us, and for whatever reasons that was never done during our 13-night stay. Further, in order to avoid the morning traffic from San Jose to SFO on Highway 101 on a weekday (since we were leaving the US on an international flight at 11 a.m.), we wanted to change our 14-night stay to 13-night stay at Hotel Valencia. While Booking.com personnel was helpful, Hotel Valencia Guest Services personnel was not. I talked to the hotel personnel (this was the first time) and was told to contact Booking.com. After Booking.com informed me the changes were fine and that an email had been sent to the hotel, I talked to the hotel personnel again (this was the second time) and was told that they had received nothing. I reached out to Booking.com and was assured that the change was fine and another email was sent to the hotel. I talked to the hotel personnel again (this was the third time) and was told they had received nothing. The third and last time I reached out to Booking.com, Booking.com personnel told me the change had been and confirmed, the refund was already processed, and that I didn't have to worry about talking to the hotel personnel. The process of requesting a simple change, having to go back and forth 6 times between the hotel and Booking.com, was a very frustrating and unpleasant experience.

Booking was made through Expedia. The front desk clerk related there has been issues when booking through Expedia and Expedia was to blame for not having "pushed through" the booking. I contacted Expedia and they related the issue was not on their end and the Hotel was to blame. Unknown as to where the issue originated as both blamed each other. After about an hour of waiting in the lobby, the issue was finally “resolved”. Despite providing my reservation details, I was given a different room than what I had booked, which caused further inconvenience. I payed extra to have a balcony view and was provided a room without a balcony. I have two other reservations in the near future and having experienced this issue with Expedia, I am not confident I will have a good experience.

Great location on Santana Row. Beautiful hotel with an awesome vibe. Room was comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the city and mountains beyond. Would definitely recommend if in the area.

The stay was fine, but the hotel pricing is close to luxury and the property is not. The rooms are mediocre, bathrooms have nothing luxury whatsoever. It’s a $300 max /night property IMO.

This is a beautiful property and the location is perfect! The bell and valet staff were wonderful and kind and helpful. #1 NO hot water in the shower in the morning!!!! Inexcusable and unacceptable. #2 I had reserved two rooms and I had to wait 2 hours past check in time for my second room to be ready, but….. #3 When I finally walked down to the front desk, after the two hour wait, to demand my second room, there was a different front desk woman who overheard what was going on and was able to instantly find me a clean room right across from my first room. #4 The front desk staff at check in seemed like they had no idea what they were doing and didn’t seem to care either. I had to ask how to get to the elevators to get to my room and all I was given was a key… no map, no verbal information on the hotel layout or amenities, not even how to access the hotel Wi-Fi.

I was just passing through visiting friends and wanted a more lux experience so I booked a room here. I had a great stay overall. It was a weekday in August so it was kinda dead. I was the only one at the pool for a few hours. They don’t have actual pool service for food but you can order room service from a phone by the pool and they will deliver to the pool, but be very clear where you are because they delivered mine to my room and I waited over an hour before I realized it wasn’t coming. Because it was in my room. Also they had a “water emergency” and advised the water would be shut off at 9 am. I had planned to hang out at this pricey hotel until checkout but had to scrap that plan. Instead of just offering compensation I had to ask for it - they just comped my valet. I didn’t complain that I wanted money off the room. Mostly because my name is Karen. 😝 Also, this location is great, cute shopping and eating nearby and the mysterious Winchester House is walkable.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. On par with the quality I expected. I was greeted immediately upon pulling up to the valet. It’s a beautiful hotel and great location. I would upgrade the toilet tissue , it was kinda rough .

It’s a beautiful hotel and great location. I would upgrade the toilet tissue , it was kinda rough .

Got downstairs for breakfast at 11:08 am and they woukd not serve me any breakfast since it stopped at 11 . Not even a muffin . Lunch menu available was not something I could eat first thing of the day .

the smell when you walk into the lobby smells amazing. the valet was easy and quick. the room was spacious and clean.

This hotel was a complete gem! We had never been to San Jose before and Santana Row is lively and full of great restaurants and shops. We were in town for a concert. The hotel is right in the middle of all the activity and you feel like you are in a European village. Great service, beautiful rooftop bar and lovely comfortable rooms.

Fitness room is very weak. Staff great. Location great.

this hotel is classy. the staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The pool is on the roof top and very well appointed. We were there for two nights for a girls weekend and had two adjoining rooms. Highly recommend it.

We got a free upgrade and enjoyed a spacious king room with balcony overlooking a bit of the courtyard in this very busy and sometimes loud area. It was a Saturday night and everything got quiet by 11:30 p.m. The room was very beautiful and well designed. The beds were extremely comfortable. Valet parking at $55 - with in and out service - was the way to go in this cramped action-packed area. It's a fun, dynamic, and luxurious destination.

My stay here was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful and well decorated. The rooftop bar has a great view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a room with an attached balcony and was a beautiful view of the street. The location is great. Plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.

After spending $24 dollars per drink at the bar when once room while talking with friends around 11:30pm on a Saturday night the front desk called to say someone complained about noice even though he didn’t even have music on. My room was next to the elevator where you can hear noice through the night due to the proximity to it I called the manager today and he hung up on me because he said 10pm starts at 10pm which I’ve never heard of, I asked him to email me those rules and he said he no longer wanted to discuss it and hung up and I called back he instructed the front desk not to transfer the call. This attitude is not what I expect from a hotel that I’ve stayed at for many years. The manager is not a leader to such hotel group. If the called was recorded you should listen to it. In stead of trying to understand my concerns he got combative then told me that I was because I didn’t accept his 10pm nonsense curfew on a Saturday night when the hotel’s bar/club is open until 2am a floor below my room
