    Great location, easy access, great room size, great view. The air conditioning did not work, it only dispensed very hot air, no cool air. It was a very hot, uncomfortable night. Also, very expensive parking fee.

    Our waiter this morning was amazing, Location was across the street from where we needed to be. Those are my positives. Lost power early this am which caused this crazy beeping sound waking us up. Front desk didn’t seem to care one bit. And now what I will always mark a hotel down on NO Freaking HOT water in shower. After a freezing concert outside all I wanted was to take a hot bath(I know I’m strange I use bathtubs in hotels) no hot water like barely luke warm. Tried again this am to shower and same thing. So took a cold shower. No one else in our room shower before our long drive home. Very disappointed for 300 dollars a night you would think you would get Hot water

    Unfortunately a very bad experience. The shower wasn't cleaned, there was a super dirty shirt stuffed between the bed and side table, the power went out for several hours, and the thermostat didn't work. At check out I tried explaining this to the employee but was mostly brushed off. I've been going to San Jose for years but will likely be using a competitor going forward.

    The only one that was helpful was the bell man. No one would text us when our room was ready, the bar didn’t open until 3pm and it closed at 10pm. We were there for the game. You guys lost out on revenue. The food did come out quickly so great job to the Chief and team in th kitchen

    When checking in the person needs to tell guests to bring luggage through front door.. have carts in site and available. My daughter and 2 grandkids had to make 3 trips from parking garage to room… very far distance carrying everything.. without carts. Not a fun way to start your stay.

    Unfortunately the two rooms they put us in this time both had smells. One had a horrible smoke smell and then the second smelled musty and gross. Definitely not the same experience as the first time I stayed on my own and was on the 15th floor. We arrived so late that I didn’t want to move a third time.

    The bed was comfortable I am handicapped & have trouble walking. There is a valet stand outside, but no valet in sight. We registered & self parked. The elevator took us up (the only button we could choose)& opened up into convention center space. To the right, and out of sight, is the front desk & another bank of elevators. The property told us they had no luggage carts to move our things to our room. We ran into the head of housekeeping and she apologized for just leaving our room. She said she only had 3 housekeepers to take care of the whole hotel & they were running behind. We checked out and went to the garage to get the car. We discovered we needed the room key card to open the parking gate. After 5 minutes of having no success trying to call the parking attendant from the gate, we re-parked the car, went up to the front desk. They called the attendant and we finally escaped

    Our check in/out was pretty smooth, parking is self parking and has in and out privileges. A little disappointed in the room considering the room price even though i reserved it ahead of time, bathroom wasn’t super clean. We only needed a room to sleep after the event but the beds weren’t the BEST. Room only has a mini fridge but microwave & ice machines are located on other floors. I’d probably only stay here again if I came to another event at the convention center

    However, I did run into several issues that made for a difficult night. In the evening, my hot water stopped working. The hotel quickly sent a mechanic who was very kind, but unfortunately couldn’t fix the issue, so I was moved to a different room. In that room, the refrigerator was making an extremely loud noise that made it hard to relax. I called the front desk, and they advised me to unplug it—which I did, since I didn’t want to move rooms again. Unfortunately, around midnight I woke up to the sound of water leaking from the fridge. A puddle had formed near the extension cord for the TV, which was a bit alarming. I called again, and staff instructed me to leave it alone and place towels down. Between that and the loud airplane noise from a nearby airport, I didn’t get a restful night’s sleep. I want to emphasize again that the staff was lovely and did their best to help, but I was disappointed that no compensation or gesture was offered for the trouble I experienced. I hope this feedback helps improve future guest experiences.

    I am EXTREMELY frustrated with this property. I attempted to check in through the Hilton app but was told I needed to stop by the front desk upon arrival (I had already chosen my room and entered my card information for parking purposes). I arrived soon after check in time at 4pm and tried to explain to the staff member that I had misplaced my ID during my travel day earlier that morning but I had a photo. I was told a photo was not appropriate with no further empathy or compassion. Another woman overheard and came up to the desk to explain that since it was booked and paid for through Expedia I would have to contact them to change the name under the reservation to my partner. Okay, great - I get that name change done and we go back in to check in. Well no, I was then told my payment wasn’t cleared by Expedia (refer back to me mentioning the fact that the staff member explicitly told me since the booking was PAID FOR I couldn’t make any alterations to it). I tell her that’s weird bc I can see it on my authorized transactions through my bank. Again, they stare at me like I’M the problem here so I contact Expedia AGAIN. The Expedia staff have to call the hotel manager and low and behold they find out the payment WAS processed and they were just confused because the hotel was booked same day. So because they failed to look into when the booking was created or actually any details of my booking, I did not get into my room until almost 6. No apology, nothing. Do better Hilton SJ.

    Improvements I would suggest: 1) Updtate Google Maps pin as it lead us to the south end of the hotel and not the front. 2) Set elevator doors to delay closing, and close slower as the doors closed too fast when the elevator was already on the floor and it looked like it would ping my hands if I tried to jump in while the doors were closing. This is too fast for a senior and the tablet system does not give enough delay to know which elevator to walk over to. 3) Have signs out for quiet hours. We had guests being noisy throughout the night on our floor that I did not get any sleep. It was likely they were going to the pool, since we were on the same floor and close to the door leading to the gym and pool area, but then there should be enforcement to ensure other guests are not being disturbed. The doors are not thick enough to keep sound out. 4) Provide hairbrushes and other commonly forgotten bath items in the convenience store. I forgot a hairbrush and did not have time to ask the front desk if they had any. It would be easier if they were in the convenience store or provided in the room bathrooms.

    Stayed unexpectedly because my daughter’s volleyball tournament took a lot longer than we thought. parking garage was not big enough for my truck but it was cheaper to park across the street anyway. Booking a room was only available online which is super inconvenient. Would’ve been a lot easier. Just walk up to the front desk and book a room. Bartender definitely needs help on tournament days and drinks at the bar are super expensive $33 for a vodka and cranberry is ridiculous.

    Everything was good, except, what sucked was we couldn’t mirror our devices on the tv unless we had HDMI cables or just wanted to watch tv on satellite. There was a weird greenish stain on the carpet which made me think about a past stay at a different place which had a lot of pet hair on the floor, in turn made me think about everything that can be on the floor. Getting bathrobes and towels had taken a minute, we only got to enjoy the hot tube for about 15-20 minutes but I don’t blame them because the lady hired for it seemed genuine. The workers were all very kind and honest about everything, there’s nicer places to stay at but this is the most I felt like the workers weren’t just professional but also felt welcoming. My overall through was the place was nice the workers make it more worthwhile, they were not rude or to professional they felt genuine from the low interactions we had with them.

    Enjoyed our stay and staff was very helpful. While it was a convenient location for the events we were attending while there, there was not a lot to do or great restaurants (Joe's being an exception) within easy walking distance of the property. That is the only minor quibble.

    1) We had a few broken items in our room. 2) The restaurant service was poor, with our waiter forgetting to bring us everything from menus, to taking our small plates when we were served our drinks, forks, ect. They also vastly undercooked our meats to where they were practically raw. 3) The hotel is also understaffed so there is really no one to help us disabled patrons. The location is nice, so they have that going for them. I might choose to stay here again, but before then I hope they can tighten up their service to prevent other huests from having an irritation filled stay.

    Without question the worst experience I've ever had at a Hilton let alone any other hotel. The garage was filthy w/ food, stains and an awful smell. When we left after our car was only there for about I found out what the smell was. It was a huge pile of wet cardboard on the level where the garbage is and open to the parking structure. The car still smells of the odor and I'm not sure how long it will take to get rid of it. We'll try Pooph. Before the cardboard was wet it was probably a fire hazard below the building. The area is open to homeless visitors. In addition to the the Hotel had NO restaurants, no Continental breakfast until Monday. The room heater kept going off and did not keep up with the auto setting. The in room coffee pot worked for a few minutes and then stopped. The toilet was like the one in my wife's old kindergarten room It was too low to the floor for me to use sitting and so far down standing was a urination challenge to hit the small bowl. The bed was so broken down that it felt like I was sleeping in a fixed feet higher than my head position. It was not comfortable. The room was only slightly batter than what I imagine a motel 6 would be. Your Facilities and/or Operations Execs should be fired for someone who has your customer service needs as their priority.

    The room wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be and it wasn’t kept up either for a Hilton room. It had a lot of repair work that needed done to it. Shower head had low pressure and had a lot of build up. The toilet paper roll holder wouldn’t hold up the toilet paper. There were lots of scuffs and build up dirt in the room. I was very sad about the room.

    The front desk was very nice upon check in and offered me an upgrade, almost insistent to the point where I thought they may have given up my previous room, but I take accountability for accepting a room that went from a king to two queens and an AC that didn’t work. The bar and bar staff were fantastic. The market was nice for access but well overpriced. Great location for the rock n roll race that we came to San Jose for.

    Great place to stay if you’re seeing a show at the center for performing arts. Secco restaurant was good and had nice outdoor seating. Beds were very comfortable. Bathtub was a little run down and old because the finish on the interior sides of was peeling. Also the nightstand lamp was unplugged but it took us a while to figure that out. Overall, it was a nice comfortable stay for one night.
