Breakfast was good. The only issue I had was I could hear people talking at night either from the shuttle pick up area or the swimming pool so if you need an early night ask for a room the other side of the property. Room and bathroom nice and clean. I would have liked a fridge with a freezer compartment but that’s not a big issue.

The carpet in the room is actually sticky, and frankly, disgusting. Whomever owns the facility lacks the understanding of the word CLEAN!

The breakfast was decent. I’m grateful that there was breakfast included in the cost. The pictures online are equivalent to catfishing. It looked way nicer than it was in person. This hotel is old, rundown, and needs to be renovated. It should be way nicer than what it is based on what is being charged. Also, it is far from quiet. I could hear everything in my neighbors room.

- [ ] I booked through Expedia because I had rewards to use and a one night stay was cheaper on Expedia than through a competitor - [ ] The room was ok, the bed was a little worn and squeaky but had clean sheets, the shower was slow to drain, and the toilet smelled bad and needed sanitizing - [ ] You eat the free breakfast on paper plates and use plastic utensils. In the past they had used real plates and silverware. It is slim pickings for gluten free diets. No gf cereal. No gf bread or pastries. They serve eggs formed like patties, thin sausage patties, and (breakfast potatoes-Unk if gf). The only fresh fruit was apples. Coffee was ok. - [ ] The employees are nice and the hotel is sorta ok, but if you want to stay some place better, you need to pay more.

However, the carpet was very dirty, which was disappointing. Because of this, I cannot give the hotel a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the carpet significantly affected my overall impression of the stay.

The room had everything you needed, it was clean, the complimentary breakfast was good, there are lots place to eat in walking distance, rooms have a fridge and microwave. They charged me a $100 deposit at check in, even though I prepaid, and this wasn't disclosed when I booked.

The staff we saw always smiled and asked if we needed help. For as busy as it was there was very little noise in hallways and common areas.

Overall everything was good — clean room, good location, and friendly staff. The only issue was the AC. I’m not someone who usually gets cold easily, but the air conditioning wasn’t working properly. They kindly changed my room, which I appreciated, but in the second room the AC only worked well for one day. Other than that, the stay was fine.

The last two stays were in room 210 and 213. I will make sure to request that I not get put in either of those rooms again as they are fairly drab and outdated...they need a facelift. The last room I was in had an ant problem...rogue ants (not a line of ants, just like random scouts. Tiny lone ants were scattered around the bathroom, I stopped counting after ten. Then I noticed two more on the desk. Thankfully they weren't in the bed. I kept my overnight bag and suitcase closed as I didn't want to take any hitchhikers home with me (I did let the front desk know in the morning). And lastly, in that same room... early in the morning, construction or repair was being done on the third floor above the bathroom ceiling...it was around 8AM...which some might not think was early, but I had checked in at 1AM, so that was WAY TOO early to hear constant pounding above your head. I couldn't believe they were actually allowed to start working that early. So, due to the ants and the early morning racket, this is one stay I'm not real happy about. But in general, I like this hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful and it's fairly clean and the rooms are clean and comfortable, also the lobby decaf is great! Breakfast is usually decent with a good variety of items to choose from. I will continue to stay here when I fly out of SJ.

I didn’t spend much time during the days at the hotel but I can report that the bed was very compfy. The shower and amenities were solid. It was a fairly reasonable place pricewise and very well located for the airport.

I like how close it is to my job. When I have really late shifts I like to stay here since it's close and I get to sleep in. The rooms are really nice ans big they are pretty clean too.

Our room...peeling wallpaper, loud ac unit, over all, the room felt cramped. There was only one night stand and the kids g size bed was a foot, 12 inches away from the window and ac unit. If yoy intend to use the just sleep then 4 out of 5 stars.

Great one night stay prior to flying out next day. Only grumble is that at the continental breakfast, all the coffee creamers were those coffeemate flavored creamers. No half and half! They could have simply had a bowl of those little half and half pods.

Overall facility is a little old, but renewed adequately and kept clean. The hotel is located on the east side of the San Jose Airport, but is inconvenient for me as I need to go to Sunnyvale daily. I always had to get through the highways, which were congested during mornning and evening hours.

We had to extgend our stay by one day after staying there for 5 days. When rebooking, we found they were out of the same room type, so we booked a different one. The manager were nice enough that he suggested us to check back on the day we need to switch over, and arranged so that we can stay at the same room, and with no additional charge! We are definitely appreciative of all that he did for us.

Room great. Facility great. Free breakfast great. Price excellent. My only issue was lack of an EV charger. I called beforehand and they said they had a charging area, but found it was only a standard 110v wall outlet. Would take three days to charge on that. But the hotel was a great value other than that. Charged at a hotel down the street.

The hotel was being re renovated and on our foor many of the room were closed with yellow tape. The ac in our room didn't work properly. Other than that, it was just okay.

I left my wallet in the room and had to come back for it they had saved it for me at the front desk. Great staff.

At check in, we advised the front desk associate that we needed to be on the 7:30am shuttle to the airport. Unfortunately, the shuttle driver did not show up. The front desk associate tried to call the shuttle driver multiple times but could not reach him. At 7:40am, we were informed by the front desk associate that the shuttle driver was "working on an issue in the kitchen," and it would be a few more minutes. Apparently an issue in the kitchen is more important than their guests. We had a flight to catch so we could not wait any longer - we were forced to call for an Uber. As the Uber driver pulled up, the front desk associate advised that the shuttle driver was finally ready, but at that point I could not cancel the Uber. I requested reimbursement for the cost of the Uber (about $15) on the same day. Four days later, I received a poorly-written response that did not address my request for reimbursement. It is a shame because the hotel was otherwise good.

The hotel is under mayor renovation !!!! You can hear every noise outside the hall and on top specially if you are on bottom floor. We had a really bad night!!!

Rash from bed for starters. Noisy. Heater and AC did not stay for more than 2 minutes. Outside 1 bedroom unit with a door that had a major draft under doorway which was cold night. No Wifi access signal would not reach room, Zero access and many attempts. Rash on my hamstrings both legs from bed I presume. Requested wake up call, no wake up call. I could hear the neighbors. Your maintenance crew working on site started their angle grinder tool at 7 a.m. I was up before that, but still that is a jarring tool noise for 7 am to hear. Not much help from front desk. Gate did not lock and was never completely closed or latched. Very confusing layout.

The common areas were well kept, it seemed like there may have been only 1 elevator in the building. The breakfast was amazing. I was a little thrown by the weekend hours which started later than the weekday hours. Considering the hotels proximity to the airport, I would assume that they would have earlier hours on the weekends. The orange juice was the freshest that I have ever tasted at any hotel. The food was seasoned and plenty of seating. They had coffee available at all times in the lobby. But on our last day, we went down to the lobby for coffee on Monday morning, it had not been brewed. When I asked the front desk clerk, she said she didn't know how to use the new coffee makers. I was a bit frustrated by that. I feel that she could have tried to at least get instructions. Everyone was checking out that morning, and she was waiting until the breakfast staff came at 6 am to have them start brewing the coffee. Hence the 4 stars. I feel that hindered my experience a little bit.

The sink did not drain, the shower head was plugged up, not adequate water flow. The carpets need wash, the conditioner was noisy.

Room w/kitchen had no plates cup silverware or paper towels. a gap between the tub drain and the actual tub. Gap was full of black mold fan in the bathroom didn’t work so it took 45 minutes to clear. Ants in the room.

The check-in process was a breeze! The staff were super friendly and really went above and beyond to help us out during our stay. They were so accommodating when an unexpected situation arose with our room. It was a relief to know they were there to sort things out quickly and efficiently. I don’t understand why someone would come to work sick and work the front desk, where her coughing all night was loud enough to hear in my room. Obvious the walls are so thin you can hear everything. Also, the heater made a loud ratting sound so I couldn’t use it.

I used their shuttle service to the airport and the driver was friendly and didn't drive like he was on the racetrack. This was the third hotel I have stayed at in this area, and will never stay at the Holiday inn or the Oasis (I think that's the name), nearby, both a thumbs down. But I will continue to stay here whenever I come to San Jose :).

The only negative things I can say is that the bed and pillows couldve been a bit more comfortable and we were right next to the elevator so it was a bit noisy when it was used but that’s about it. Would definitely recommend!

Most of the hotels in the area are very expensive, so I selected this one. It was by far the least expensive option in the area, but still pricier than expected. It was in dire need of an upgrade.

The advertised hot tub was not hot, when I talked to front desk, they didn’t know how to fix it. They suggested to come back in the morning and talk to the manager about partial refund. They have an incredible free breakfast every morning! Full of variety, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy! Yogurt with granola, fruit, whip cream. As well as a variety of bread, mini muffins, bagels and English muffins. The location is fantastic! Very central while feeling extremely secure and safe! Very helpful staff! This will be our go to place whenever we travel to San Jose!

We had a great stay here. This place is like a little hidden gem! The rooms are very nice and very clean. The only problem we had was our plane was late getting in and we got to the hotel well after 4:00 and we were assigned a room. When we got to our room it had not been cleaned yet. The beds were torn apart but the gal was cleaning the room next door. We called down to the front desk and explained we were in a hurry to drop our things off and get to an event that was starting soon and they did get us a different room that was ready to go right away. Overall the experience was great and we will stay here again.

It was very clean. Things in good repair. The room was comfortable. Staff was courteous kind and helpful.

1 week later & I’m still waiting for my deposit to be returned!! Friday night & they close the pool/ jacuzzi at 9:30 pm! We booked this room because of pool jacuzzi but because of traffic we arrived late and after dinner it was too late to even use the facilities for half an hour!!😕 many other options available in area that are comparable and with better property policies like bring permitted to use the pool!😞

The property itself is great. Staff were so kind and respectful. One dining area staff - She never smiled, never made eye contact. I thanked her. But she just kept walking. On the morning of our check-out day, after i had already turned in our key cards, i saw her in the laundry room. I wanted to say "thank you" but I no longer have access. She just looked at me. So I moved away and we proceeded to leave. She definitely saw me standing by the door. Anyway, I wish you have lotion in pumps in the rooms. I only have the big tube and i didn't want TSA to confiscate that so I left it at home. Thank you Country Inn!

Well maintain property. Very clean room with micro and mini fridge. Excellent tv programming.

We appreciated the ample continental breakfast and the convenient location near the airport and not far from restaurants. It was a great place to end our vacation.

There was no coffee available at breakfast, which is inexcusable for a major hotel chain. One of our 2 rooms smelled bad, like a past guest smoked weed. The room that didn’t smell bad had a faulty air conditioner unit that was so noisy we had to turn it off to sleep.

We had a one night stay at Country Inn & Suites in San Jose, CA. We have stayed here on three prior occasions. Our room was clean and upstairs, which we like. Checking in went well. Staff was helpful. Parking is free and gate is closed at night. We like staying at Country Inn because it is very close to SJ Mineta airport and there is a gas station about two blocks away where we fill up our rental car. The gas price is the lowest in all of SJ. We had a very early flight, so we did not eat breakfast. We have eaten breakfast in the past and the variety of foods that was offered was nice. We would stay at Country Inn again.

Hotel is centrally located near major local attractions and businesses. Hotel is clean. Rooms are clean; linens are clean and spotless. Bed, mattress and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is served hot, fresh and is delicious.!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Great hot breakfast with lots of variety. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Not queen size, definitely full size but comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Airport shuttle. A great place to stay!

Nice quiet neighborhood, good location, great for travel out of San Jose Airport, great security at Hotel are the highlights of this hotel.

Screaming people late at night screaming for a long time. Then 3:30 am people are knocking on my door and many doors around me it sounded like knowing for 15 minutes or so.

First room had no working A/C but it was quickly fixed. First continental breakfast was a great plus. The pool and hot tub were clean and quiet.

The biggest issue is their lack of hotel shuttle. Was able to get shuttle from the airport but in the early morning when I was ready to go back to airport there wasn’t a shuttle available and I was informed at that point that I needed to make a reservation 24 hours in advance. I wasn’t even at the hotel 24hours. At checkin this wasn’t mentioned however they do have it brochure which I suppose I was expected to read at midnight when I arrived. Very poor and will keep me from ever staying with this establishment again

There was a stale cigarette order in the building and a spray endeavoring to mask the smell. The set-up of the room was odd. The walls in the hallway could use a good cleaning, and the carpet needs to be replaced, but the room was clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast room was exceptionally clean. With a little work and a few more upgrades, this property could easily go into a higher category.

The amenities were surprisingly wonderful. Coffee in the lobby, breakfast, and water dispenser. Although I didn’t use it, I was impressed with the microwave and fridge I. The room. The best was the free shuttle from the airport. The driver was so kind and courteous.

This was a relaxing stay and I like that there is an airport shuttle. The pool and hot tub were selling features for me… tho the area is pretty bare and the property is rather dated. It was squeaky clean. Gave it 4 stars bc when I turned on the heater (it was chilly at night) it smelled like burned hair dryer and it set off the smoke alarm…. I turned off the heater and fanned the smoke alarm but it was jarring in the middle of the night :-/

Hello! I was grateful that you were as close as you are tot the airport. Breakfast everyday was nice. Too much water in the oatmeal make it really 'runny', but everything else as nice. The toilet in room 240 has a rust or 'dirt' ring around it which made it 'gross'. Please put or have available via request...blankets. It was really cold in the room with just sheets on the bed. It was easy to make my reservation and the price was reasonable. I will book here again when I come in March to get my taxes done.

I checked in late (8:45) and staff was readily available. The only downside is that it's a gated property and the small gate that allows people inside does not close so anyone could access the vehicle parking lot. The gate to drive thru did require a room key but the small gate should be fixed. Other than that, it's convenient, clean and the staff is friendly and I'd stay again.

I requested airport shuttle at 4:30am. When I came downstairs the front lady clerk stated there were none requested. I explained I requested it. She began quizzing me who I spoke to and what he looked like. I felt that she did not believe me. She kept asking me what his nationality was.

Overall the stay was good. The rooms are a bit outdated. The tub was old and not very well cleaned. The property over all would need a new upgrade.

Nice hotel, with very friendly staff. I was able to check in early with no problem. It was an 8 minute drive to downtown San Jose.

The room we got look exactly how the photo is in their website. Friendly staff, cleanroom. But, there is no door lock for the restroom. 2 Elevator has issues, lucky the Elevator closes to the room we stay at still work. Gated parking which like. But the parking space are really compact difficult to get in and out of vehicles.

We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great. Shuttle service to airport.

Under staffed at times. Mostly quiet. Ok and close to airport. The diner/bowling alley and la Victoria a block up made this stay really fun

If you like a softer bed, then the bed is too hard, and the walls must be thin as I could hear my neighbors talking, tv, and stomping feet. If you stay here go to the top floor and it will be quieter so you may get some sleep. The staff is truly wonderful! The desk staff kindly assisted me to change rooms. The breakfast is ok, and handy, but I've had better elsewhere.

Love the laundry room with ample space for sorting, folding. Even a sink for pre-wash! A nice table and chair so you can work nearby and keep an eye on the machines. I would stay here for the laundry room alone. Also convenient to airport and downtown, and public transportation in area is very good.

Property was a bit rundown and our shower wouldn’t drain properly. Not as clean as I would like. Breakfast and free parking were nice pluses. Staff were very nice.

Highly recommend this hotel. Staff was wonderful. It was clean . Kept fresh towels and bedding in daily rotation without me having to ask! Very convenient and breakfast was great too! I'll be back again for my 4th time next year !

It was terrible, and the hotel charged me twice for the hotel payment. I called the hotel about it, and the manager said let the bank deal with it, not us. I'm really upset, and I will never stay there again.

Clean and staff are great

When I arrived at 10 pm, the gates to the parking lot and the lobby were locked. I got out of my car in front of the gate to access the situation. Soon a staff member came and VERY rudely told me that I had to move and was parked illegally. When I explained that I was a guest, he gruffly said I had to park, offering no explanation of where or how. I've stayed traveled a lot and have never been treated so poorly. Everything else about the hotel was fine.

We always stay here. Clean rooms and excellent hot breakfast. Staffs are very professional and friendly.

Hotel stay was good. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Location of the hotel was close to the airport which made it convenient when returning the rental car and catching my flight. Breakfast offered a nice variety of food and beverages. Staff was nice and helpful

Worst planning . One window and complete blank wall in front of window . Window glass broken and room was dusty like nobody has used since long . Bed sheet was stained . We had to request to clean room and change sheets and covers. I stayed four nights no much change in breakfast . Overall very poor house keeping.

This Country Inn & Suites was very clean and nice and very convenient to the aifrport.

Body wash in the shower did not function. No shuttle after 10pm! I note there were 4 flight arrivals showing arrival that would have potential guests needing transportation and possible late check in. Taxi was $15 flag drop and over $22 total. As future travel to San Jose would also be late I will not stay there again ! Will not recommend to others.

This was our second time staying at this property and it’s a solid choice for a no frills but affordable property with a decent free breakfast. We had two prominent issues this visit: when we checked in and went to our room it was already occupied and had someone else’s bags laid out inside.d they took care of us and provided us an upgraded suite since other two bed rooms were sold out. The other issue is that we wish we’d known ahead of time that the hot tub was not working because that was an amenity we were looking forward to. The staff is great and kind and the room was clean and comfortable.

Rooms are average. Beds were not comfortable, and we had popcorn and cheese puffs on the floors. Toilets kept running :(

Bright, airy hotel with nice rooms and good amenities. Very close to airport. Had a nice dinner at the casino nearby. Liked the restricted access even to parking lot at night. Would stay there again.

Our stay at Country inn San Jose Airport was good. The room and property was clean and well kept, the staff was friendly and helpful and the bed was great. The airport shuttle was wonderful. We had to get up at 4AM for our flight so we tried to go to bed early but children were screaming in the pool until 10 pm so we could not sleep until that had stopped. It finally did.

Shuttle service to and from the airport is excellent, breakfast is good with a nice variety selection. Staff members are friendly too. The hotel room lighting is a bit too dark that can be improved.

Dirty and run down

Area was really run down around the property (over grown weeds, trash, etc.) - public transporation was only a few blocks away but didn't feel safe walking in the neighborhood. Not much nearby (walking distance) - ended up getting a rental car halfway through.
