The area immediately around it is not the best, but everything else about the actual hotel itself is great. No pool/gym/breakfast services but I would expect that given the price/location/etc.

This is obviously a no frills hotel, but it has everything you need! A clean safe room, microwave & mini fridge, free parking, etc. The manager was exceptionally kind and accommodating as well.

This was a clean, affordable, and pleasant option within easy walking distance to the convention center, notable cultural experiences like Japantown, and lots of restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I'd 100% stay again!

Very respectful and nice staff. Checkin and check out process was smooth. The room was clean, bed was firm and in good shape. Restroom and vanity was clean and new. The room was spacious with needed amenities. In walking dustance to the convention center.

I have stayed here two years in a row for my daughter’s volleyball tournament. It’s close proximity to the convention center, excellent coffee shop next door and restaurants nearby make it a great simple choice for us. The staff is always so friendly and helpful when we stay.

This was a little hidden GEM in San Jose; very clean and comfortable rooms, short 5 minute walk to the convention center. Parking was easy and safe. Milo the "guard dog" was on duty. Will stay there again.

I highly recommend this place to stay. It was about half the price of most other hotels in the area, yet the rooms were twice as large. Most importantly, they were very clean, comfortable, and welcoming.

Very clean place, rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The manger is extremely nice and very easy to talk with. Parking is a bit tight for bigger vehicles but not terrible. Overall a great place to stay.

Nick continues to deliver in terms of service, guest experience and overall hospitality. As a return guest, the Convention Center Inn & Suites is our go to when staying in San Jose. The business is very well run and maintained making any stay a pleasant one. Nick is authentically personable and genuinely interested in ensuring his guests’ stay, at the very least, meets their expectations.

Great Parking, Great Staff, (Shoutout to Milo) and walking distance from most things youll want to see. Vending machines were a hit. Both gentlemen that assisted me did wonderful. Stayed in 317 and the room was great. Some minor blemishes in the room but nothing too serious. Didn't take away from the stay. Had to share a room with a Mr.Kruger but bro was cool lol 9/10 would recommend for sure!

Parking is easy and feels safe and secure. Property is very well maintained and comfortable. Will return to visit relatives ever year.

Wonderful staff, room had a microwave, and fridge. Was able to borrow an electric kettle for hot water. I've got no complaints, will recommend this place to friends and family. I'll be back next time I have an event to attend in the area.

Stayed here 1 night for Super Bowl 60 (Go Hawks!). Clean, comfortable, and got the job done. This hotel is a small family business, the owner is super friendly.

I had a pleasant stay at the Convention Center Inn & Suites while in town for a San Jose Sharks vs Montreal Canadiens game! The location is unbeatable for hockey fans, as it’s a quick and easy trip over to the SAP Center. (<30 min walk). The room was exceptionally clean and spacious providing a quiet and comfortable retreat after the excitement of the arena. The on-site parking was free, which felt safe and took all the stress out of navigating downtown traffic.

This place is wonderful! Friendly, comfortable and a convenient location. I would never stay anywhere else when in San Jose!

I was pleasantly surprised at how perfectly clean the room was kept. Cleanliness is the number one factor for my enjoyment of a hotel room. The man who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful (South Asian with a British accent). He saw me coming out of my room on the day I checked out and ran up to carry my bag down the stairs. It would be nice to have some breakfast snacks in the mornings but overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The staff and room were great. Lots to do near this location and walkable streets was good. Just don't book via Expedia, call over the phone if you can. Expedia booked using the wrong info but thankfully the staff was able to fix the issues on the spot, and with great humour as well.

The street looks sketchy but don't let that mislead you, the rooms are clean, the staff are super nice, and I will stay again!

The staff was great - very friendly. The hotel (more like a motel) is very basic, but it had free parking ( a big plus in the downtown area) and was located only a little over a 5 minute walk to all the hopping nightlife of downtown San Jose - which was all I needed. And there is a coffee shop just a couple of doors down from the inn for morning coffee and a croissant or morning bun.

Room was really nice, clean and spacious. Loved the sitting area with desk and plantain shutters on all the windows instead of drapes. Front desk customer service was also fantastic. Will stay there again!

The hotel is located near the city centre, very clean and overall well kept considering it is a 2-star category. The manager in the lobby was very skilled and also funny, and had no trouble checking me in despite showing up more than an hour before check-in time. I will be back.

Yes, everything was great! The property manager was so helpful with everything. The room was clean and spacious with everything we needed. We didn’t have a car, but the parking lot on site was very nice and half of the spots were covered. We would definitely stay there again.

Bed a bit hard for me, plus I did get a bedbug bite overnight. Lots of parking as it used to be a motel. Area around is getting rather dodgy. Next door is another motel being used for homeless/half-way housing. Generally, this part of San Jose has become rather empty since covid, except when the Convention Center has an event.

As always it was an excellent stay. It is the only place I will stay when we visit San Jose. The only downside is the parking lot and stalls are a bit small.

We had business at the convention center, it was very close by and easy to walk to, if a little bit questionable. The staff or I believe the manger/owner? Was amazing, very friendly, always happy to ask us how we were doing if we needed anything. Fantastic. It was an amazing stay and if we are ever in area again this is definitely the place we'd stay.

I booked this hotel for a solo getaway to attend the GalaxyCon convention happening nearby. I am always nervous about staying at a hotel by myself, but as soon as I walked into the lobby, I felt relieved. I unfortunately forgot to ask for his name, but I was greeted by a lovely man who had all the best jokes and puns! He made me feel very safe and even wished me an early happy birthday. Aside from the very easy and quick check in, my room was amazing. For it being the standard room, it was much bigger than anticipated. It was very clean and had great amenities. It was also a breeze to walk to the convention center with it only being about a 10 minute walk. There’s even a great coffee shop right next to the hotel. I absolutely recommend this place. I will definitely be booking again should I need a place to stay in San Jose.

Great place to stay for the night or extended stay. There are places nearby for shopping, dining, etc. The host Nick was welcoming, funny, kind, and charming. The bed was nice and comfortable and the space was clean and quiet. I definitely recommend this place. Whenever I come back to town to visit or for an event, this will be my first choice!

It had a homey vibe, and the owner was very kind and attentive. The area is a little run down, but I never felt unsafe.

I ride a bike to the train and stay in San Jose for work periodically and as soon as I got into the lobby he immediately offered to keep my bike inside the locked lobby. Apparently this isn't an odd request for them and they are happy to do this. That is huge for anybody who travels by bike, keeping your bike safe is always a huge concern but not here. I will definitely be coming back here regularly when I need to work in San Jose for multiple days.

Had a fantastic stay. They were more than welcoming and anytime they saw me they asked how i was and how my stay was. Even thouvh the airport is close by, there was absolutely no airplane noise to be heard. Loved it here and will be staying here again.

I just love this place and stay here every time I am in San Jose. The owner is a true gem and is extremely kind. The room is perfect and the bathroom is top notch.

This is an absolute hidden gem that is well taken care of with a staff that goes above and beyond. I spent an entire week here for a convention and would happily return. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Clean, newly-furnished rooms. Bathroom amenities work perfectly. Staff was very polite and helpful, especially with services like holding luggage. Great location from Convention Center and downtown SJ (walkable in 5-10 mins and right by coffeeshop). Perfect stay for convention goers.

Loved the cleanliness of the room, nearness to the convention center and price. Also really good service, and i appreciated the vending machines and closeness to coffee

Everything was fine except the parking. A limited number of narrow spaces made the 7 drivers who took up 2 spaces that much worse. Management did not seem to care.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that a microwave and fridge were provided, too! Combo bath-shower with a curtain, very clean with good water pressure, easy-to-use knobs. This is a steal at the given price point. And the proximity to Academic Coffee is *chef's kiss*

The manager was friendly and humorous. Stayed here for Fanime Convention, which was only 2 blocks away from the convention center. The manager was very generous enough to let me leave my car in the parking lot after the check-out, so I was able to finish attending Fanime. I would recommend this place to those who would like to attend Fanime via driving, since nearby hotel will likely to be a hassle to go in and out.

The proximity to the SJCC, night life, and restaurants makes it an ideal place with a decent price tag. I wholey recommend staying here if tou are here for a long weekened.

This was a great value for downtown San Jose, with parking included. It’s next door to a great coffee place, an easy walk to good restaurants, a block away from nightlife and easy access to the freeway and airport. I would definitely stay here again.

We were there for a convention. Close enough to walk but just on the edge of where I would want to stay. Customer service was great. The room was brand new and extremely clean and comfortable. It looks like they aren't quite complete with the remodel, but the rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was superb. No frills, but a clean and tidy room.

This is the best of the motor inn type of lodging. Great coffee 2 doors away (none in room). Easy to walk to restaurants and Convention Center. Excellent value.

Concierge was helpful and made me giggle. Rooms were bigger than I thought they were, which was nice. Everything in the room was tidy. The bathroom's plumbing felt a bit too powerful but it wasn't unusable. Overall, a nice stay. Would go again for future events in SJ if I had to room solo.

It's a great place to stay. Price is good, the guy who runs the place is very very nice and makes sure to ask how everything is the room. Parking is a bit tight but other than that I stay here every time I'm in San Jose

The man at the front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was large, modern, clean, and lovely. It feels very safe on site, but the neighborhood is questionable like downtown San Jose is in general. The free parking was great since it's located in a prime area for walking to food, shops, and venues. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Clean room

I was attending Nvidia GTC for a week. It was a perfect place to stay. I would stay here again next year. Very clean, very well managed, bed was excellent, water was hot, microwave helped tremendously, and the outside was filled with fragrance from flowers. What a lovely place! Also the parking. Couldn’t have asked for more. Spacious, extended parking on my last day, and safe. Perfect place to stay at GTC!

Hotel room was nice and clean. Front desk agent was friendly and offered humor during check-in. Bed was extremely comfortable with memory foam mattress. Definitely recommend.

Staff was very friendly, check in was smooth and took less than 10 minutes. Room was very clean. Came to go to the Sharks game and definitely will stay again next time we come back.

For a "motel" this was wonderful. The hotels I usually stay in were exceedingly expensive and so I chose this cheaper option. The room was very nice, recently remodeled and the bed was great. I wouldn't hesitate to say there again. The rooms opened up to an interior courtyard of other rooms. It didn't open up to a parking lot like traditional motels. This was greatly preferred for noise and aesthetic reasons.

We explored downtown and came back to the room to rest and left the next morning. I left a small purse there and they called me within the hour to inform and I was back to pick it up no issues! Really recommend, the courtyard is beautiful and it's quiet and spacious!

Hotel management is very kind and very nice because he is the owner of the hotel. Very close to Convention and also to the pub area in addition to free parking. I will be back next year again !!!!

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the manager/front desk is very nice and helpful. The only thing is that the area/streets are not very nice.

Outward appearences are decieving. From the street, it looks like an average motor inn. There is a peaceful garden area in the quad. Bed was very good, room spacious. Owner/operator very friendly and efficient.Would have liked to have coffee and tea in the room
