Towels very cheap and scratchy Shower pressure was good, but it sort of dripped all night AC- it does NOT cool below maybe 70 degrees, which for me, was unacceptable. I have severe hot flashes and was looking forward to a cooler room overnight. The selected temp goes down as you press the "down' arrow, but the AC does not match. Breakfast was ok... rehydrated scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle iron, instant oats, apples, orange juice. Not the best but not the worst. VERY loud people above us- all night we could hear intermittent "thud" sounds and some voices which I assume was kids jumping off the bed. Not a quiet rest at all for me. Overall, for the price, mediocre. We chose this since others were full (graduation weekend).

Very fair price quality hotel bed a little weird but overall one of the better hotels I've stayed in at San Jose California.

The closest restaurant is too far to walk to, and there's no vending machine with snacks in the hotel

Fun combination of walkable barrio vibe and eateries and verfy Silicon Valley guests. Only minor improvement:-- front desk folks while efficient, seemed a bit barricaded by the clear plexiglass "front dedk" window.

They give me the third floor but did not let me know that elevator was broken .. hard for me to go up / down the entire time I’m there

The breakfast is the bare minimum for a hot breakfast. The breakfast room is the issue as it small and cramped. Not a pleasant experience. The location is also a bit rough on the eyes. The bed and sheets and pillows are serviceable. Its a motel with lipstick. Overall do not recommend for a family with young kids.

Extremely well maintained property inside and out. Friendly helpful staff. Room we rented was clean, large. Very nice quiet stay. We will be return customers in the future. Near many stores. Good breakfast variety. Nice pool. Please be aware that you must have a valid card to pay a deposit even though you pay for your entire stay in advance. We were on a tight budget but thankfully we had the deposit that was returned once we left the room in good condition. Highly recommend.

We picked this hotel because of distance to our events but the room was dated, especially the carpet. Hot tub was closed and outdoor pool was quite cold. But the room and grounds were clean and there was ample parking during our stay as hotel was not busy. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was good, with hot and cold options.

Very clean and spacious rooms, very affordable and with amazing amenities. Check in was quick and we were pleasantly surprised with how clean and big the room was. The only thing I had an issue with was the lack of a window that could open, but I was told this is only an issue w the street facing rooms. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Be aware they charged $40 more for a double queen non-smoking room- if anything the smoking rooms which have to be cleaned more thoroughly should have the increase in charge NOT the people who are helping to maintain a clean room- so that didn’t make sense to me. Otherwise property was clean.

This Hotel Was by far the best place I stood at this year, Very Good customer service and room had everything working properly with complimentary toiletries Very clean and comfortable, hot tub and swimming pool we're clean and relaxing and Breakfast was very well prepared and fulfilling definitely will stay here again.

Breakfast was decent for the kids. Location looked like not the best area but once there it was perfect for our little stay. Parking was good. Elevator didn’t work and we had lots of sports equipment to carry up the stairs.

The pictures are not realistic, properly is run down and not maintained at all.

It was very quiet and i was sleeping well until the alarm clock went off at midnight and jolted me out of bed. I was awake for several hours after worrying about my appointment and had to get up at 6am. Perhaps housekeeping can check the clock to make sure alarms are turned off.

Housekeeping was great. Loved that they serviced the room daily. Property has so much potential but our stay was a bit inconvenient. Would try to stay again with lower expectations and hopefully a working elevator.

I liked that it was close to the location of our venue. I didn't like that I could hear the cars driving by all night and the walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbors talking in their room. The sink would clog up when I brushed my teeth and I froze my a55 off with the thin blankets.

The elevator had signs pointing to it, but the elevator didn’t work - and there were no signs saying it didn’t work. Once we finally found the room, we entered and it was ridiculously hot and the AC did not work. The toilet was clogged (unknowingly) and when my daughter went potty, it started to overflow. I called the front desk and they said they’d bring a plunger. When the receptionist came up, they handed us the plunger and stood there and then took a photo of the AC and said, “it doesn’t work”. I asked for a new room and the receptionist said that couldn’t happen without a manager and that the manager wouldn’t be in until 9am the next morning. He left and then eventually called our room phone (that was in the bathroom because the main phone in the bedroom didn’t work) and said he could switch us to a new room, but I had to go get keys. When we got to the new room, the AC worked, but half of the room had no electricity, the carpet was sticky, it smelled like someone was chain smoking for the last week, the phone didn’t work in the main bedroom, and TV remote didn’t work. I will NEVER be staying at this hotel again and it makes me regret ever staying here and honestly, was a damper on the entire trip.

The Hotel is really nice and quiet. The bed is comfortable! This is my second time staying here and will plan to comeback next time I visit!

I could smell the room as we walked in. Carpet was so gross we didn’t dare take our shoes off. The bedding grungy and dirty. There were ants in the bathroom. We left right away. Hopefully we will get a refund. The desk clerk said he would talk to his manager.

The properly was actually nice I picked this particular hotel because I was close in the area and it said it had a hot tub which I really needed and wanted it but when I got there, the heat to the hot tub was not working so that was a big disappointment. Had I known that I would never have picked this place just being honest so I was very much dissatisfied to say the lease.

I was very happy with the location of the hotel. The only thing I did not like about the hotel was that the elevator was out of order.

I didn't care for the location or the layout of the hotel. Parking was tight. It looked like more parking was available, but it was blocked off. And the fact you have to leave the building to go to another building for breakfast. Not convenient, in my opinion.

The breakfast was better than expected, the room clean & the staff (Including Mohammad from Hydrabad, India) & the fellow with the tattoos were helpful & friendly. Beyond that, everything in my room (#102) worked well. I'd certainly stay there again & would recommend the Clarion Inn to others.

I asked for a wheelchair accessible room and i was not expecting what i gotta! The shower was so roomy and they had a shower chair! The room had space for my sons chair! It was a great stay! Pillows and mattresses are very comfortable. The room is clean. The hotel is old and tired looking. The bathroom could stand to be redone. I would prefer to not have a cloth shower curtain (glass door is better) and I don't want there to be a shower mat in the shower. Gross. THe breakfast is handy though I would have preferred to see more of a variety in the hot food options. We were there for four breakfasts and the same two items were served every morning. I really enjoyed my stay here --- in fact I extended for a second night. The staff was very kind and competent. The rooms were pristine and super quiet. I felt extremely safe. The accessible room met all of my needs. Good coffee/tea service. Nice TV offerings. I will stay here again.

Actually very surprised. The area is NOT the best I expected it to be run down, but I was very impressed, room was decent, clean - the AC needs to be updated its very old but other than that the bed was comfortable, room and hotel amenities were great.

I understand there was a breakfast but I didn't make it to their in time because I was tired from traveling. But we didn't enjoy this location it was very comfortable and will come back if we stay up here again.

Very clean. Provided 2 tea bags and 4 capsules of coffee with 2 paper cups, which was great. Wifi signal was weak. Microwave, plenty of shampoo, conditioner and soap. A fridge seems quite big.

The front desk staff was very friendly. I was able to check in quickly. Even though the room wasn't quite ready but by the time we came back from dinner, it was done. The room was clean and spacious. Fridge was very cold and spacious. The only things that were not satisfactory were the charging and electrical plugs on the light fixtures did not work and the bathroom door would not close all the way. I had a different room the night before and everything was perfect so these problems would not deter me from staying there again. Highly recommend if you want a reasonably priced room with free breakfast and a goodnight rest.

I went to the front desk as we left for the day to mention it to them so they could spray. The room was not cleaned at all while we were gone. So I went to the desk again and they came to spray. It felt like I was putting them out asking them to take care of it.

The first day i had TV problems which i fixed myself before the maintenance man came but then it happened 5 more times the next day i had toilet problems i called the front desk..He brought me the plunger ..i said i have to do it ? For the price of it, I didn’t expect it to be this clean, organized, and professional staff. Plus there’s a free breakfast! The Breakfast room is so clean and the staff is very nice and tidy. Bedsheets and pillows are clean; no hassle for an overnight stay. I hope they will continue to provide this kind of service even for a cheap price.

Hotel was pleasant night. Pool was dirty with leaves. Our bathroom was missing tile on the baseboard underneath the sink.

Hotel was pleasant night. Pool was dirty with leaves. Our bathroom was missing tile on the baseboard underneath the sink.

I liked how quiet it was and the parking options.

When checked in gave room key . The room haven’t clean . So they change 2 times.

The room was adequately clean and the bed provided a comfortable night’s rest. While the bathroom was functional, it showed signs of wear and would benefit from some cosmetic updates. The staff, however, were attentive and accommodating throughout my stay.

Good price, good breakfast, some indoor hotel-style access rooms, pleasant decor. Terrible area but we were ok, good security on access doors and stairways.

Breakfast area is cramped and crowded. Had a bad experience with a rude person who was staying there.

Booked late and this was a solid hotel for the price. The location is a little further out from the Cambria area where I normally stay but, still safe and I arrived at 10:00 pm. There was no means to get water though. Even the vending machine was out. The front desk was nice and offered to give me his own from his car but, I declined.

Rooms are clean

Not a terrible stay if you need it between places or for a single night stay. Breakfast was pretty lackluster and the room was kind of damaged. Some holes in the bathroom walls and the tv was broken, had to spend about 15 min fixing it.

What I would have liked to better improve my stay is a bigger and stronger hair blow dryer; granted, the one provided by the room worked well and did the job, it just took a bit longer than usual to dry my hair as the dryer was small and lacked the adequate lower to dry my long hair…..It’s just a small detail, but would have been great. Overall, both my partner and I enjoyed our stay here. The price for it is also VERY good and reasonable. I would definitely be booking again in the near future.

The desk clerk was nice however the carpet wasn’t very clean and the toilet was for midgets. The mattress needs to be replaced.

Blood on the floor, electric wires protruding out of walls in the room. Had to leave and move to another hotel.

Overall a good stay. Had some trouble with a few things in the room but it was probably my problem. TV, AC, alarm clock going off when we did not set it

In our room the outlet between the beds did not work properly. The lamp conected to that outlet did not work and neither did the phone. The carpet looked VERY worn. Everything looked clean except for behind the sidetable and the tv remote. Also, we couldn't get the tv to work but im sure if we would have asked the staff they would have fixed it for us. We did request extra blankets and they were clean and very warm. Our stay was short and overall enjoyed our stay.

It’s ok

Toilet backed up in the first room. No one was on duty to surface. Had to change rooms. Second room had holes on the baseboard in the bathroom with ants and termites. Did not want to have to change rooms again and just put up with it. You should not have to just put up with “just anything” when you paid good money, but we did because it was an overnight stay. We charged and paid through Expedia at a higher price. The hotel then turned around and charge me a lesser price on a MasterCard that ends with four digits that I don’t even have. Have no idea where the hotel charge on that credit card went to. Terrible, terrible, terrible!

Room was affordable, clean, and had all the amenities you could expect out of a hotel. I wo uld definitely stay here again.

Had to leave the hotel due to loud people next door and management not willing to help with problem.

When I arrived 20 mins after booking the room on hotels . Com they said that they are all booked up but they have a one room left which is reserved for handicapped travelers and doesn’t have a bathtub. I agreed then went to use tv and it did work I called front desk they quickly told me to press the red reset button on cable box and hung up . I called back saying “no such red button exist” then he came to the room and was surprised that he too could not find this button . Either way no bath no tv and no manager is there on the weekends .

This place looks great online, but not in person! Rooms smell like old cheese and is the hallways smell worse!

We booked this for my mother in law. I was nervous at first because, it looked like some the guest lived there. During the check in I left the gentleman know that I booked this for my mother in law and she would be staying there alone. He said oh I understand let me move her down to the first floor next to the front desk. That made me and husband at ease. She said it was overall quiet and the room was really nice and she felt safe.

Property does not have EV chargers as advertised. Rough neighborhood. Property was clean and bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was fair--the powdered eggs, but these days, that's pretty good.

Our tiolet got clogged and they have no room service. If you need an extra towel you have to go get it from the front desk

Our check in clerk wasn’t very helpful had to scan a QR code for places to eat instead of any recommendation. Breakfast was amazing

Room was ok. Nothing special. Staff was ok.

I made reservation on 1/14/25. I arrive and there is no power to the hotel and no one in the office at 10pm. I call and there is no answer. I had to get another room at a different place. The company refuses to respond to hotels.com to give me a refund and I'm out the money for the stay that I was never checked in for.
