The valet drivers were great in handling our car and gave great direction and recommendations on where to go. The front desk was great at getting us checked in and made the process so quick. The restaurant and bar staff went above and beyond and the food and cocktails were very very good. The housekeeping was very detailed and everything was perfect when we checked in and when we returned to our rooms later that day, they had made up the room to perfection! Whenever I’m back in San Francisco i will 100% be staying at the Ritz!

Ryan at the front desk did everything to make our stay absolutely incredible. The beds were super comfy, everyone working there was very nice and accommodating!

The parking if you have a car is more than 100$ US per night, this is a shame and really bad

Great hotel. Great location. Make sure you ask for a room that does NOT overlook the courtyard. The industrial HvAC units are beyond loud unless you keep windows closed. If you want to open windows for fresh air you will pay the price

The staff were so helpful and friendly. Shout out the back room staff who helped us avoid climbing the California St. hill! You were above and beyond! Thank you for making our stay very memorable!

Hotel and staff were excellent. My first only complaint is about the shower. It’s an over the tub version with a shower curtain. A hotel of this caliber should have walk-in showers. The shower head was fixed and not adjustable, which made it impossible to stay out of the way when it turned on…and sprayed everywhere.

Overall I had an excellent experience overall. Clean room with good quality and amenities overall. Excellent service throughout my stay, even when things went awry (I had an issue with a malfunctioning door lock, which was promptly and quickly addressed in a very professional manner). The Lounge had great drinks/appetizers.

Wonderful customer service. Everyone was professional, welcoming and friendly. Without asking, they made my anniversary extra special by upgrading our room, sending prosecco and chocolates to us and 1PM late check out. I will absolutely stay here again. They live up to The Ritz name once again

The team allowed us to check in a little bit early, since we were attending a wedding at the hotel, which started at check-in time. This allowed us to get ready. Enjoyed our stay and the service staff was excellent. Our bell man, the team that helped support the wedding and directed us in the right direction and the front desk that put our friends next door to us.

The room that I selected (Corner room with city view) was given to someone else and they stuck me in a room without a view and didn't care one bit about my experience. The restaurant was terrible as well.

The room was spotless. The staff was amazing! This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The two complementary cable car tickets were an added bonus, and we also went in the steam room to relax. 100/10

In particular, I absolutely loved the Bellmen!! They were most helpful and just lovely!! This morning, especially, they saved us from getting into the wrong Uber!!The Uber driver was inattentive, so much so, that we would have ended up in Las Vegas, instead of the SanFran airport!! Thank you so!!

The property is pretty outdated. Has no real amenities. Stayed in a suite to ensure that we had room for four people and the sofa bed squeaked and was very uncomfortable ended up having to throw the mattress on the floor. For it being at red, it definitely did not carry the brand cachet.

One notable stand out is how amazingly spacious the rooms with two queen beds are, which provide the perfect backdrop for a girl's or family getaway. The giant tub in the beautifully appointed bathroom did not disappoint either. Also, it's refreshing to have an abundantly stocked fluffy fresh towel collection, along with tea and coffee maker, so it really felt like home.

We really enjoyed our stay. This hotel property is still in good shape. But I missed the old Ritz Carlton fragranced soaps that once were common in the restroom and locker room areas. The gift shop is still great. A true luxury hotel in the big city. And valet was quick and easy. Thank you.

Very nice hotel - friendly service, especially from the parking attendants, clean, nicely appointed rooms. Expensive, though - as you would expect from the Ritz, but I really think they over-do it...I mean, $70 for an omlet with a side of bacon through room service? $90 per day for parking? That's a little much, even for the Ritz. But for a special occasion, it's still nice to splurge sometimes and they do out on the show.

Ritz Carlton took the initiative to make our special trip amazing! The staff were friendly and beyond courteous. Our room was so comfortable, we slept like babies. An extra thanks to Hernando for bringing us non-alcoholic beverage after finding out we don't drink :)

Enjoyed my stay overall but service was spotty in a couple of areas. There was one door/valet man who was great, the other in the evening acted like we were an imposition on his time. One person on the concierge gave us very ordinary recommendations for dinner even though I asked for something interesting - was sent to an ordinary steak house that had no vibe. Other than that, the hotel itself was pleasant enough, nice people on the front desk.

Do not stay here if you are traveling with someone with special needs and require an accessible room (barrier free shower)with two double beds. There is only one such room in the entire property! Joann, the Room Controller is an absolute nightmare - rude, condescending and not customer service oriented at all. Called me on Christmas Eve at 9pm my time) a mere 6 hours before departing for my flight on Christmas Day and told me to find another place to stay. Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen, I don’t think so. So disappointing. The bright spot was the Guest Relations team.

Hospitality was impeccable

The hotel staff was superb, the rooms incredibly comfortable. We stayed at club level. We have been on club level before and this time the beverages served were not as good as in past times, and the food served was not to the same quality as in prior times. I don’t know if there has been a change in management, but for the price there should have been better drinks and food. The people who worked at club level are incredible. They welcomed us warmly, and were incredibly attentive.

Overall excellent service. One thing I’ll mention is that I was on the lounge level and everything was excellent aside from the olives in a jar which were full of mold. This was highly off putting.

The property looks great, the room looks great, the staff was friendly and professional but that is expected at 5 Star hotel. The chocolates on the room was a nice touch, I wasn't expecting that. However there were 2 issues that I expect at a 5 star hotel. 1) The front desk doesn't have credit card tapb technology, many people don't carry physical card anymore, they are loaded on their phones to be used with tap. 2) They need to work on the response time on messaging in the app and texting. I waited 10 minutes for a response and then had to use the in room phone. Messaging and text should be as fast as a phone call. Automated generic messages like we're looking into it, doesn't cut it. I'm 54 years old just mentioning so you know this isn't some young person and wanting technology to work, this is your average modern customer.

This property was excellent! From the advance call to upgrade our room to a suite, to the most excellent customer service, this property exceeded every expectation. San Francisco in December is magical and the Ritz-Carlton delivered a wonderful weekend full of memories with my family I will cherish forever. Thank you!

Nice place to stay. The best one in San Francisco downtown. Worth it.

The restaurants have great food, great drinks, the location is ideal for exploring the union square and chinatown areas but is also walkable to areas like Russian Hill, Embarcadero etc making it a perfect spot for travelers. But if I have to pick one reason I keep coming back to this hotel, it has to be their incredible service

Staffs were so nice and helpful. Food was good including room service. Front desk manager Jason gave us nice room and dining credit. So we enjoyed the room service food before we left. So appriciate to him and Ritz Carlton team.

Our stay was very unpleasant due to the unprofessional and undertrained staff. After staying at more than 22 Ritz-Carlton properties this is by far the worst one I've stayed at. The staff judged our appearance and criticize the rental vehicle we were driving. They did not offer us services offered to other patrons

This was the perfect romantic getaway. We loved the service, food and bar. The location is terrific. Our room was beautiful and the view was exceptional. It was 5 star in every way.

Our stay was wonderful. Staff at this property went above and beyond to make my family and I feel seen and cared for. They were so kind to my daughter and as a mom traveling during the recent Microsoft crash and dealing with hours of delay it really touched my heart how helpful they were to her.

The staff made this stay perfect, from the doorman to housekeeping, nothing was to much trouble.
