Perfect location! We parked and walked from the hotel. Very small parking lot. The floors in the room felt dirty. The room could use an update.

I will say it was a fantastic area to stay in and I'd definitely try to stay nearby again someday.

I would give this place ZERO stars. The motel was informed we would do a late check in as well as late check out. (When we booked it) We arrived around 3:45am/4amz Check in took 20 minutes; requested late check out again at the desk & followed that up with an online message just to reassure no one disturbed us in the AM. There was no parking in the lot & the street parking had street sweeping from 6am-8am. The employee told me where to park the car and I parked it exactly as I was instructed beside the front desk. cars were parked in non parking places so l assumed it's just what they did with their lot. The room is NOT like the reviews say...so I'm assuming most of them are fake & paid for. It's a run down motel! ROOM -Floor boards have water damage with broken off pieces -bedding not as advertised. cheap sheets that don't fit w/ stains/holes. -side bed lamp doesn’t work. -walls are paper thin. BATHROOM -mold on walls, looks filthy, floor is torn -BUGS flying around in the bathroom. (Almost left the second we saw the bugs)- -hair on the floor (vacuums or brooms can easily fix this issue) -toilet paper roll left on the thing empty. At 9:50am we are awoken by pounding on our door. Assumed it was a mistake and tried to sleep more...and again 9:55am more pounding. I opened the door they need the car moved. (It wasn't blocking anyone in...and it was parked exactly where I was instructed to park it by the employee. Too much to fit in 1500 words characters

What a gem of a place. Parking. Updated rooms, the rooftop seating area. Any restaurant you could ask for within a 1 block radius. The staff was nice. Everything was clean. I will definitely stay there again.

My bathroom ceiling had a leak in it, and it was actively dripping during my visit.

I was having difficulty to use the shower, and TV will turn it on and off itself three times.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. I also liked the free parking. I enjoyed my stay.

There was some damage visible from previous "guests", not attractive. The price was high given some of that damage. Also if you select 2 beds you must walk up 2 flights of stairs, Good to know ahead of time. We didn't. Fortunately, we are capable. The staff were pleasant. The facility was clean.

The room and bed were very clean. I appreciate that they use a white duvet instead of the normal brown hotel ones. It made me feel good about the cleanliness of the bed. The shower itself was a bit old so it “looked” dirty but worked fine. We couldn’t get the tv to turn on but it wasn’t a big deal since we didn’t spend much time in the room. Overall, happy with the stay and would book again.

The office staff were so rude. Him and his wife. I wouldn’t recommend staying there you can find a better place somewhere else.

Didn’t expect this to just be a shabby motel for the price. It was fine for a night but wouldn’t want to stay there longer.

Also every conversation in the court yard could be heard in our room.

The room was comfortable but a little small. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They made a huge difference. There was a lot of eating options nearby and a very useful market. The bathroom was a little small and carrying our baggage upstairs was a little difficult. However, I was prewarned of this.

El lugar estaba muy limpio, tenía todo lo necesario para estar tranquilos y cómodos. Lo único limitado era el parking, porque aunque pagamos, no teníamos un espacio seguro. Sin embargo, pagamos por un parking privado dos cuadras más abajo. Yo considero que este hotel fue una gran elección, lo recomiendo mucho.

Stayed here on my recent trip to SF. The location in the Marina district is great. Very close to public transit and they also have parking (which is rare in SF). The rooms were clean and well kept and updated. Only downside is they only have stairs and we were on the third floor, but for the price and the location and the parking it was a great stay. Would absolutely stay again.

I specifically chose this place to park the car, but there are so many cars that sometimes there is no space for parking. The only thing I liked there was the upper deck where we sat and ate. The numbers in the pictures look better, but in reality, not in the branches, in my case, the things inside were whiter, broken, and not well maintained.

Room - the bathroom door was jammed. We wanted to bath but there was no plug and no offer of another. The worst was there was a very bright spotlight outside our room so was impossible to sleep as so bright as light came through the shutters. Again no offer to remedy Not a great experience

Good location, comfortable (King size) bed. Room was available at just after 1 pm, but staff wanted to charge an extra $25 to check in then. Whilst I’d understand that charge if I’d asked for an early check-in and special effort had been made to get the room ready for a particular time, it felt cheeky to request more money for a room that was ready.

They are all older, most decades older, btu this one is well maintained, and a cut above the others that have a similar off-peak price of about $100/night, with free WiFi and Parking! Services was good, room amenities were standard, it was clean an organized, and the Free WiFi and adequate parking included, makes it a great value in SF, where most downtown hotels will cost you $300+/night and $40+ dollars overnight parking. This location is right on Lombard, a busy street, but most rooms are removed away from the street toward the back of the lot, so quieter. In room amenities are good and what you expect, but this isn't a high class DTSF Hotel Chain, it is an independently owned Motel. I got a king single room and free WiFi and Parking for $108 in April (Off Peak) with my $16 Hotels.com accumulated rewards. Good night sleep, convenient location to restaurants and bars and happy price in expensive San Francisco!

Parking space is very crammed and if you have a large car you will have a hard time parking. I had a medium size SUV and did not feel comfortable parking. So unfortunately I had to park outside. Parking lot is one way only, so you will have to reverse into a busy street to get out.

Bathroom door was treacherous for pinching fingers. Blanket on bed not adequate. No parking available. Only place to plug in coffee maker was right next to bed, with short cord in the way of exiting the bed.

Only stayed 2 nights at the end of my trip , no complaints from me especially at the price point, place was clean and tidy and bed was very comfortable. Location was ideal , I wish I stayed here for my entire trip. Would have loved a safe to store valuables

Very friendly management! If you're looking for a motel at a reasonable price in that location don't look any furtjer. Just be aware that there is no elevator.

Parking was available and a plus. The room was clean but very basic. Nothing to write home about. We stayed on the 1st floor ground level. The hot water for the shower did not seem to work. For a quick overnight is was ok. I would definitely try a different place next time.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful so kudos to them. Rooms nice enough, tidy and clean. Location excellent, supermarket one block away, plenty of places to eat near or far - cafes, restaurants, one-stop shops. Everything you need within walking distance. No elevator for 2nd and 3rd floor rooms. Does mention on the website, however there are many rooms on those levels and is difficult lugging multiple bags up the stairs.

There is no elevator and I was on the third floor, alone, with a heavy bag. The rooms are updated. The outside is rather rough, but that's to be expected. The parking garage is under the building and very small and run down, maybe 14 spaces! I got the last space, inching my car up against a pile of what looked to be drywall. Wouldn't return.

The room had a laminate hardwood floor that gave the impression that it was clean and as a result I found nothing objectionable. The ice machine outside was broken and it looked like it was broken for a considerable period of time. The lobby had a tiny ice machine which filled only one cup of ice. If you have a car you better check in early as parking is extremely limited. The location of the hotel offers great shopping and restaurant selection as it is on the north side of Lombard Street just one block from Chestnut which is a happening street in the Marina. I was traveling for business hence my needs are minimal which is a quiet room and a comfortable bed and although I was in the “basement” or 1st floor facing the parking lot it was surprisingly quiet. If you are looking for a budget hotel for a night or maybe two I think you would not be unhappy with this no frills establishment.

Well, you misrepresent the fact that you have an airport shuttle, which was a main reason for me booking this hotel. The parking lot was scary. There were cars that were blocked in by other cars. And the room was filthy. I left and didn’t actually even stay there, even though you charged me for two nights.

Location is good The owner is a scammer that charges a cancellation fee after you’ve already stayed at the property so WATCH OUT.

The plumbing in the bathroom is weird. Our bathtub filled up with other people’s water as they showered or drained their bath tubs.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a family trip. The location is great- lots of dining options, public transportation, and a cute walkable neighborhood. The hotel itself is pretty basic but had parking available for our car. The only real thing we had to complain about was the time it takes for the water to heat up for a shower. Would stay here again for short trips.

The motel was located on Lombard St. and was within walking distance to the Palace of Fine Arts, restaurants, cafes and shopping. The proprietor was very friendly and gave us the quietest room in the back of the motel, away from the busy street. Our parking space was conveniently located right inside the courtyard of the motel. The king-size bed was extremely comfortable. We liked everything! No complaints!

The room wasn't clean in general. The bathroom had a lot of mold on the walls. But the worst part was the very strong musty smell. I had to go out and buy bleach and disinfectant to clean the room and bathroom. I also bought an odor eliminator, and the towels were stained. One positive thing was the location. Close to the most iconic places!

Actually, the whole place was terrible. I wasn’t able to come because I had a gallbladder attack and ended up in the hospital the night before and I was flying across the country and they were unwilling to give me a credit for another day or do anything I will never come there. I will never stay there, and I will never recommend it to a single soul. Your selfish jerks

I have booked and stayed here twice in the past year. Neighborhood has great restaurants and specialty markets within walking distance. We enjoyed the rooftop patio area with the night lights after a day of exploring the city. Simple, clean and the right price range. Will be staying here again.

Several things that were wrong began piling up during our stay. Bedside light fickered constantly so for lighting it was the main lighting or the closet light. Phone didnt work to call for help. Door to the bathroom didn't lock. The hook came right out if the wall. There may have been water damage at one point because the wood floor was uneven. Our keys stopped working the day before checkout and the day i was released from the hospital. I had to stand outside and wait until they fixed the key cards. Room was small but had what we needed. Very little parking maybe 15 spots but at least its free if you get one. Nice neighborhood. 10 minute walk to see the bay/bridge or palace of fine arts. 10 minute bus to the bridge. 15-20 minute bus to wharf. Would stay here again.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfy. It is within walking distance to so many restaurants, bars, patisseries, and entertainment options. Our first night we walked to a place that was right by the corner of the hotel for dinner and it was delicious! Happy with our stay here !

The rooms were clean. The location was great. We had many great options to walk to and explore. The two issues I had the sun is very bright in the mornings and the blinds hardly block the sun. The second issue is I forgot my conditioner and the room only had shampoo.

The hotel was quite lovely. All the hotels on Lombard are older, smaller properties, and though it does show some wear, the Signature Inn is well kept, the room was clean and comfortable and the place was charming.

Easy to get to public transportation. Very affordable!

The hotel was surprisingly quiet and peaceful given its location in a busy area. The outdoor patio was very enjoyable on a sunny day. The staff were very accommodating and friendly!

Friendly, efficient early check in by wonderful manager Om. Room exceeded our expectations, newly renovated, contemporary, hip, very clean, comfortable beds, fresh linens and towels. Quiet room with limited off street parking. (*Plenty of parking after 11am when other guests have checked out) . The outdoor patio w/ comfy lawn furniture was great for cocktail hours, morning coffee or reading. In a great safe neighborhood, for single women, families or couples. Great restaurants near by. Insulated from Lombard Street traffic. Impressed w/ the low price- great value and comfort.

Great property and very centrally located. Clean rooms and nice space. Great for price point. A few notes- 1. if you are street facing, it’s loud at night and early in the morning. 2. the bathroom door is a sliding door and there is a few inch gap between the wall and door, meaning you can hear everything. 3. parking is very limited and spaces looked small- if you’re just going to SF i would bus (stops within a block of inn) and walk.

I left this hotel because it was so unappealing. Felt like I was sleeping on the sidewalk. Could hear every car go by and every noise or footstep from outside. Bed was hard as a rock. I know they've tried to spruce up a dumpy old school motel but for an additional $20 I was able to get a proper hotel with a restaurant and lobby in Fisherman's Wharf. This hotel should be half the price they're charging.

Enjoyed the room here and comfortable bed. He upgraded us for free to a king bed as well

Our room was comfortable and quiet. The air/heat was quiet. The room well insulated. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was fantastic, lots of places to eat and shop.

Very nice stay. As others have said, fewer parking spaces than rooms (and i missed it in the fine print I’m told!). Great area.

Terrible front desk. Insanely rude and disrespectful. Cancelled my reservation for 3 nights without notice. Still charged me! Absolute trash. Go anywhere else.

We only stayed one night. The room was clean. I only saw electric sockets on one side of the bed and on other walls, which wasn't great because i couldn't charge my phone near me. But not a big deal.

Cheap and free parking were the draw, we weren’t in our room much and beds were decent, pillows too hard. Fairly clean but not spotless. No public bathrooms which was annoying. Very bright rooms so being your eye mask. Was quiet but we were in the back of hotel. Bedside light didn’t work nor did one of our outlets. Great location in the Marina district,

Had a very pleasant stay at this property. We were able to get an early check in. The location couldn’t have been more perfect. We were very close to the bus stop which made it super easy to get around without having to spend a ton on Ubers. Would stay here again!

Grossest motel ever stayed at there was hair inside my clean towel and on shower walls. Lights flicker did not stay constant. Strange color stains on wall. Fridge was too cold ruined my leftovers. Trash was littered on staircase had to walk over it. I’ve stayed at multiple motels in the City and this was awful never again. Water pressure the worst shower had a weird way to start. Staff didn’t seem to care at all about my experience. Only star for location. Run for the hills!

Great stay in a good spot. Parking spots are very tight but we got it done.

This is a good place to stay to just sleep in. The shower we had was dirty and cracked. The bed was very firm so if that’s not your go then you’re sleeping uncomfortable. The location is perfect and free parking in the city is a a huge plus. But it just wasn’t what we how’d for. Would only stay again to sleep. But not more than a night

This property is a charming, no-frills gem that’s perfect for our one-night stay! It’s ideally located near shopping, dining, and the Palace of Fine Arts. While parking is limited, I found a spot easily and used Uber to explore the city, which turned out to be a convenient option given San Francisco's parking challenges.

The property was clean and simple. Very good value for the rate.

Grear one night stay. Rooms appear to be recentlt upgraded and was very clean and fresh. Plenty of hot water when showering and bed was super comfy and massive. Special thanks to Ash, the receptionist who went above and beyond his normal duties to assist us.

Location was great to walk to restaurants and bars. Room was very clean. Noise can be heard through the walls. The flooring was uneven due to vinyl floor boards not being installed on even subfloor. The bathroom rolling door would not stay closed as it is missing the hook. Good stay for a night or 2.

The property was nice and clean for what was in our budget. While it’s not a five star hotel it’s a nice hotel that was clean and pretty modern. Liked the rooftop to chill before going to bed. Bed was pretty comfortable as well. Appreciate how close it was to utilize public transportation

Check in was fast and easy. Housekeeping came daily to change our towels and wash cloths. The person who checked us in gave us some great information for places to see in the area as well. The hotel is in a perfect location for public transportation and we were able to get everywhere we wanted using our clipper card. I would recommend this hotel for anyone coming to the SF area and will book again when I’m back in the area!

You get what you pay for... good deal but the room was noisy. Youcould hear everything nearby... fellow guests, road traffic, weather, etc. We had a loudly leaking pipe we could hear in the ceiling, too. The tub was old and looked dirty but I think iy was stained. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and helpful.

The property was clean, secure, and staff met my needs and expectations. The bathroom tub had some issues though. Water pressure was low and it took awhile to get hot water. We had a room for two persons and only had one wash cloth. Although with the minor issues we would stay again since the good outweighed the issues.

A nice place to stay

A surprisingly lovely place to stay near a really cool part of town. There are some awesome restaurants / cafes one street over and it's super convenient to some awesome tourist spots. Nice, modern room amenities.

Liked the location. The lover on the bed was dirty, the sheets and towels were stained. There were broken tiles in the bathroom, sloppy chauking and the tub was chipped and needed to be replaced. The reception took copies of my drivers license and credit card, which no one has ever done.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfy and a great price. I appreciate the free onsite parking and A/C. And the little rooftop balcony was cool.

It was fine for the price and location

Good things about the Signature Inn: staff was friendly and efficient. Fixtures in the room were relatively new and worked well--TV, shower, etc. were very good. It was generally clean. Mattress was excellent. Other things: the room was not carpeted, but had vinyl plank flooring. Small holes in the wall had been spackled but not touched up. The bathroom had a loose "barn door" that didn't provide much privacy. The hotel advertises free parking, but the internal lot is too small to accommodate all guests, and from the time we checked in to the next morning, there were no available spaces, so be sure to scout the neighborhood for street parking. The ice machine was out of order; a sign said "Sorry for the inconvenience." We had room 101, which was on the ground floor facing the parking; because there were no blackout curtains, only a set of shutters, it was impossible to make the room truly dark. Towels were clean but a little scratchy--which I don't mind--but mine had a hole in it, which was a step too far toward shabbiness. Given the many similar choices in the neighborhood, I balance the small problems against price. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay.

There was no shower. Water was not connected to shower head was not connected. The owners or managers were not friendly. Advertised that parking was available not enough for number of rooms.

The building is painted nicely, so it looks good in the picture. And it is in a great location. But the hotel needed work. Most of the electrical outlets did not work. The lights in the room were super bright with no dimming or adjusting possible. The bedding was minimal--the thinnest possible "comforter." I asked for a blanket and they said they didn't have blankets. They also didn't have a water bottle fill station. They charge for "amenities" but there are no amenities. The office is creepy. There is so much they could improve! This was very, very basic.

Great location. Unfortunately the room smelled strongly of mildew. Barn style bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed. Check-in was curt and borderline unfriendly. Roof top deck was nice.
