Walkable to the Wharf & Ghirardelli square The staff was unpleasant and unhelpful No where to sit outside. Anytime we have stayed at Marriott they have complimentary self serve coffee. We went down to lobby at 6:25 am for coffee to go. Made us wait until exactly 6:30 am to pour us 2 cups of coffee to go for $12.00.The food was overpriced and subpar. 20.00 for 2 scrambled eggs & hash browns.Paid for a balcony room, usually has a couple chairs to sit outside. Barely big enough for 2 people and no where to sit. We did pull a small ottoman out of the room to sit. No makeup mirror. Charge 5.00 to use washer & 5.00 for dryer- clothes were completely dry at $3.00. The vending machine for soda/ water was $3.25 each, but did not give change nor would take it all in quarters. Hollywood breakfast & lunch was right around the corner. For 20.00 the plated breakfast was amazing and plenty of food. Coffee was 3.00 with refills. Maybe if the staff was not so rude and unhelpful the other petty things listed above probably would not have been a big deal.

It was a good location near Fisherman’s Wharf which is a central tourist location. They provided a restaurant which was reasonably priced and good food. I had to check out before leaving the area and the luggage lockers were outsourced and a bit pricey.

Location, in-house coin laundry, water dispenser. Front desk manager Welly, he is thoughtful and helpful. Noisy environments. The second floor is street level, window towards footpath and road. Got told lies by two front desk ladies, one old lady wears mask lied in my face and the other indian lady on the phone just kept on interrupting me till I told her I need to talk to her manager.

Taking out $800 for deposit is sickening as it was more than the actual hotel stay $97 a day to park plus $45 destination fee is outrageous . When I called to resolve the issue the hotel tells me we have other guest standing in front of them then hangs up .the gentleman’s parking the cars were amazing to my family and I but the rest of the staff is very condescending and brush u off like you don’t matter. I will never stay in a Marriott hotel ever again especially when they nonchalantly double charged my card and told me they can’t do Anything about it i just have to wait to see what happens

No complimentary coffee or water paid$20 for 2 cups of coffee… nickle and diming travlers!

The room was pretty good, and the housekeeping staff were consistently excellent and accommodating. The location is extremely good if you're visiting San Francisco regarding things to see/do and how easy it is to get transport. I had a fairly long stay, but the fire alarm went off twice in a week. That was quite annoying, there was no fire thankfully but while leaving the hotel and waiting at the muster point, there was no notable guidance from staff. If it was a real fire, that's less than ideal. The most annoying thing was that I paid for my reservation on booking.com. However, the hotel did not register my payment and charged me again for my stay. I got no help from the staff at the front desk while trying to explain my situation, and it took a long while after contacting support to get my money back. I had to send my receipt of payment multiple times. Honestly the hotel offers good value for money but the lack of help from the front desk and lack of transparency about how they're charging me makes it hard to recommend.

Food: Super expensive, two breakfast buffets will cost $60+ tip. Unfortunately there is no continental breakfast or even complimentary coffee. So if you need a cup of coffee, its $6. We had $20/day in credits which helped some. Parking: $75/day in a city where you really don't need a car at all. Wished we didn't have to park there. Valet only. Location: Pretty good, its a short walk to the bus stop, from there you can go almost anywhere.

The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff was very friendly. Its been over 2 weeks since I was there though and the coldness of the counter staff still stands out to me. I was very shocked by it as it it is clearly a destination hotel for Marriott. I have honestly met better trained hospitality at a Hampton in. The valets were also never at there stand when you needed them and came across rude as well when I had asked for a liggage cart. I dont want to be too hard on everyone there I just had much higher expectations. Im flying back this week and I will give it another shot hoping that fleet week was just an off weekend for them.

From the moment you pull up the hotel starts with overpricing. $75 a day +tax. And then check in and find out they charge you $35 a day for travelers fee. They say if you purchase something from the restaurant or bar each day they will deduct $20. Restaurant/bar closes at 9:00 and we got in late so we went to the bar for a drink. $19 for a glass of house wine and I think @$12-14 for a beer.Next morning went to breakfast and we find out the buffet is $38 per person. Asked if you wanted juice or coffee before seeing a menu and find out $9 for a glass of orange juice. I ordered the buffet but I don’t drink coffee and my wife had an omelet and coffee. Check came to $100 for 2 people and charged us $6.50 for coffee for my wife that came with my meal. At check out there was a $42 dollar charge at the restaurant from our last day and we didn’t use the restaurant or bar that day.when I asked about it they said they mistakenly charged us for someone else’s meal. There also didn’t appear to be any free coffee in the lobby which there always seems to be at every other hotel we stayed at. This hotel is just price gouging. We had meals out the rest of our trip and found the hotel prices were about 40% higher than anything in the area. Felt like we have been taking advantage of. Don’t stay here

Me and my family stayed here on vacation and I have nothing but positive things to say about it. Great location about a ten minute walk away from fisherman’s wharf, and about a 15 minute walk from little Italy. Clean room and they give you 25$ a day in food/ drink credit in their restaurant. Definitely recommend

Great location for walking and exploring along the Wharf area. The gym and bar/restaurant are clean and functional. However, the front desk does not hold luggage after checkout, although the hotel across the street will. And the service in the restaurant for breakfast was incredibly slow and the food was subpar. There are great places to eat and drink all around, so don't use the hotel for anything but sleeping. The windows do open for fresh air, which was nice. Overall, I would recommend for convenience, cleanliness, and price.

The hotel was clean and very well kept. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very quiet at night. For the most part, everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. If you are driving in and are unfamiliar with the area, pull right in on the east side of the hotel and valet park. It's costly,($75 per night), but well worth it. The only thing I can say that is negative is that they have a night time "security" guard who really needs to brush up on his people skills. If you aren't in the lobby very late, or very early, (I'm an early riser), you won't see him. Other than him, everyone is wonderful. I would definitely stay again.

There were a lot of extras in this reservation. Parking is valet only at $75/day, not included. In Expedia this place is listed as a Breakfast included hotel. But it is only AVAILABLE at $30/person, not included. It's not a bad hotel, but it would be nice if they didn't engage in these gimmicks and just told the truth upfront.

King Room was surprising large with lots of storage (drawers) to put clothes in. Had a mini fridge but no Microwave. Bathroom was nice with a large shower. Everything looked recently remodeled. Bed was comfy, pillows not so but everyone has a favorite pillow type. Lobby non-descript but most desk clerks were friendly. Restaurant open for breakfast and dinner only. Very Expensive. You can find better and cheaper options outside the hotel. I would book this hotel again.

This was the first time I’ve ever stayed at a hotel where Wi-Fi required an additional daily fee — quite surprising in this day and age. On top of that, if you need to store your luggage after checkout, the hotel offers no storage space at all; you have to pay extra to store it at a nearby hotel. Another thing to note is that the ground floor is actually considered the basement, and the second floor is the main floor. If you’re staying on the second floor, be prepared for potentially unbearable noise. Overall, not a great experience given to it’s cost.

Nice hotel but what is going on with the destination fee? Like an obscure way to rip people of on nonsensical fees. It should be put directly into the price and not doing dodgy business like this.

The buffet and parking are outrageously priced. There is no pool and no Shuttle to the airport.

Lunch and dinner options are okay, the breakfast buffet is average, but there is a la carte option. Owerall I would recommend the hotel.

Great location and great food. The parking however, lacks severely. Despite that, it’s still a great place to stay if you want to enjoy the city.

The staff at this property far exceeded our expectations. The two girls who initially greeted us at the front desk were very friendly. We absolutely adored Darlene at the bar. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and worked so incredibly hard bartending alone for a large number of patrons. I have to give MAJOR kudos to Grace B for going way above and beyond for accommodating us and allowing us a late check out. It helped tremendously and we appreciated her wonderful service so much. Lovely stay - will definitely return!!

The employee checking me in was terribly rude and tried to make me feel like I am committing a crime for booking through Expedia which is one of my most favorite sites. If I wanted to spend a few hundred dollars just to gain some extra points on my bonvoy membership, wouldn’t I? She also said she cannot accept tips? I have never heard of this as the rest of the employees were happily accepting of the tips that I gave. It seemed she was unhappy to help me from the beginning which was rarely something that happened to me and my family. Would never return to this hotel

expensive daily parking plus tax on parking. Bogus destination fees that would offset when using the restaurants, which never happened. Poor food quality.

The staff and room were superb. Be aware that the breakfast is buffet style only. This aside, the hotel was well kept, clean, and well managed.

This location is close to Bimbos and it was very easy to walk to the New Years Eve event. In the morning our group walked to Buena Vista for Irish coffee and breakfast. Amazing experience.

It's not about the money. It's the way they say, "I misunderstood." Why would someone misunderstand three times? But I like the stay.

I loved my stay! My beds were made up every day, my kids LOVED that their blankets and plushies were reset in the bed for them. Great and super friendly staff! The valet guys were awesome and very friendly! I'll definitely be back.

Overall it was a great stay. The only disadvantage was that there was no baggage storage availability on site. Major convenience was early check in and late checkout. Hotel dining was very good. Definitely would stay there again.

Proximity to a lot of places to see in San Francisco. The vallet parking attendants were very nice and friendly.

It is a nice stay. Parking fee is a bit high at $ 75/day $10ish parking tax.

The hotel location is fantastic. Fishermans wharf is just a couple of minutes walking distance. What did come to a suprise is the $30 per day which the hotel charge you per day with the information that "you use it or loose it". This kinda force you to attach yourself to the hotel restaurant. This extra charge did come to a suprise. We were not aware of tnis extra cost during the expedia reaervation. I think Expedia should inform us better.

The room was very clean and felt very comfortable. The area is very convenient, very close to the shore. The staff was very nice and welcoming. There's a nice gym with a washer and dryer too, which is unusual, but appreciated. The only minor issue is that there's no view of the beautiful surroundings, just for those wondering, but this is not a problem.
