    Loved that it was walking distance to many places and accessible to all public transport (bus, cable car, etc). But the one thing my husband and I enjoyed the most and we laughed that this was something we loved was the shower! We have stayed in many hotels and for some reason this was the best shower we have ever taken! Whatever filter or type of water they use it just seemed to be great and relaxing.

    They were renovating all of the rooms. Rooms are dated probably to the 80s or 90s. Great location, but rooms really need to be completely renovated. When we were there, they were in the process of replacing carpeting, beds, and furniture. But the bathrooms need a complete overhaul. The lighting in the rooms is awful. Best part is the location, and the restaurant food is incredible. The breakfasts are amazing.

    Good location, staff was friendly. I wouldn’t say that the hotel was the most accessible option during our stay. Elevator on check in level was inoperable during our stay so we had to use stairs or an escalator that changed direction multiple times a day. Normally this would not be an issue for us but we were traveling with a one year old so navigating stairs with bags, a stroller and a child was definitely inconvenient. The room was decent, cleanliness could be improved but nothing that would stop me from going back.

During check-in, hotel receptionist djd not provide the room that we booked and blamed booking.com for advertising using wrong room pictures. They had to upgrade to another room with extra cost but did not agree on cost-free. After escalating to Booking.com, the cost was partially compensated.

    I liked the overall location & proximity of the hotel to the main Fisherman's Wharf area along with a gorgeous restaurant serving 3 meals along with happy hours items was an added bonus. There was no option of self-parking facilities, so I had to rely on the Valet parking which could be very expensive for the overall stay at the property.

    Amazing property, clean, our room wasn’t ready and we got upgraded to the new renovated part. Everything seemed perfect in brand spanking new from the carpet to the floor to the bathroom tile spectacular and they gave us a bottle of wine and we love the restaurant attached to it called the Brick and Beam.

    Good location,friendly staff,clean room,bed good,plus food in the restaurant was good. The lights under the bed,going off on every movement, plus one side kept going on and off constantly (had to put pillow over it to stop the light going constantly),then finding out that they had taken out of my bank account a further £513.84 which is $700.57 which is pending at the moment but l can not now pay my bills on Monday,which means l will be in trouble. I was told that it has been a mistake and will be paid back. But not happy that it was done in the first place.

    Burger & other food left in the refrigerator from previous guest. Had to replace a lightbulb right when we arrived. Shower never got above lukewarm. Refrigerator wouldn’t stay cold. Half of the TV stations didn’t receive a signal. (One good note: They did send a kind engineer who offered to replace the refrigerator and attempt to work on the shower water temp, but it was already 9pm at night and we were leaving the next day.)

    Good location. Parking was full so we had to park off site. Very inconvenient for unloading with children. One adult had to park the car down the street while the other adult had to carry all the children and the luggage up to the room. The staff did not offer any assistance with luggage. Not even the use of a luggage cart. The door to our room did not latch, which we discovered when we were trying to leave to get dinner at 7:30 at night. They sent maintenance up to try to fix it. They couldn’t fix it. Since the door could not be secured, we had to wait inside the room and couldn’t leave until the whole matter was resolved. It delayed our dinner significantly with hungry children. It was around 8:30pm by the time it was resolved. They ended up putting us in a new room. So we had the inconvenience of packing up our stuff and moving, which they only offered to do because the maintenance staff member insisted to the office staff that he couldn’t fix the door easily (the maintenance man was very nice). There was no offer of a discount/food voucher/or upgrade of any kind, not even an apology, which was frustrating because it was a major inconvenience to entertain tired and hungry children at 8:30 at night. We specifically paid for breakfast to be included. When we went down to breakfast the next day. There was a long line of people waiting to be seated. They only had three people serving tables. The restaurant did not have all available tables being utilized despite the long line. We ended up leaving after waiting for 15 minutes without moving in the line. So we did not get to use the breakfast voucher that we paid for. They should have staffed it appropriately and opened up more tables. Overall, it was a decent location but the service was not great. I would not stay there again.

    Our room was lovely and recently renovated on the 5th floor. The staff and manager were so welcoming and we enjoyed the hot tub many times. Security and valet were also great. The room we were in was definitely not sound proof and we could hear guest in the room next to us and in the hall. Everything smelled very new and there was construction going on in other parts of the hotel but we were mostly unbothered. Would definitely stay here again.

    There’s no notice of ongoing renovations in the hotel on booking.com or the hotel website. There was drilling and hammering from 9 am to 5 pm everyday. We would go with another hotel if we knew there was construction going on here. The water machine was not available due to construction in that room. Resort felt like extra because wifi wasn’t working and water wasn’t replaced in the room - which is explicitly mentioned why resort fee is charged. Some staff was very unpleasant and rude when we mentioned some of these things

    When we arrived at the hotel, I was told that they had overbooked, gave me a letter promising me that the Holiday Inn across the street would give me the same wonderful experience. Not. I understand that hotels want to fill their rooms, but I do feel that we should have been given a call or an email as a heads up. IF I wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn, I would have reserved room. The front desk clerk acted like he really didn't give a damn and that is not acceptable. Before I sound like a Karen, I booked this room as a little pick me up from our regular life. We were in San Francisco on some business and our business has been very tough lately. Normally I'd book a less expensive place, but I wanted this to be just a little special.

    We paid almost $300 per night for a supposed four-star hotel, but the experience felt closer to a motel. The hotel is under renovation, yet this was not clearly disclosed. The property is dusty, noisy, and filled with a strong chemical smell. Our “renovated” room was dark, the bathroom outdated, and the windows and carpets dirty. The restaurant also felt unclean. Another issue was the misleading “breakfast included” option during booking — in reality, breakfast was extra. Because the reservation was final sale, we were stuck. Otherwise we would have left immediately. The two stars are only for the hardworking cleaning lady and the helpful bellboy who assisted us with renting bikes. There are much better options in the area. I would not recommend this hotel.

    The experience would have been good overall but due to a clinical error, other people were given our hotel key and walked in as my husband was in the shower and I was getting ready.     When I booked it mentioned a free bottle of wine. We never received it. Breakfast is soooo expensive. The food wasn’t bad but you can walk to a much cheaper place to eat. We also were out of towners so we had to pay $50 a day to park. You can find that much cheaper a block away. We did love the location but this was not worth the cost. There was much cheaper in that same area. I gave it a 4 because the rooms were clean and comfortable but nothing spectacular. The location was amazing. We walked everywhere. Which is how we figured out there were much cheaper places near by.

    The staff is amazing!! Very helpful and kind. The Hotel needs updated. The interior is so outdated and not very welcoming. No microwave in the rooms or anywhere to set your suitcase. You have to pay 55.00 each night to park in their garage. Be prepared with cash to tip the nice valet guys. The pool is clean. You have to pay extra to eat breakfast Buffett. I guess for a Hyatt, I thought it would be more modern. It was a nice stay overall. Enjoy.

    The Hotel is in a great location and we had courtyard views which were quiet. Everything is walkable from there and clean. My room was fine, nothing special but in my moms room first the toilet didn't work, and i then it was dripping and kept her awake, despite asking for it to be fixed three times it wasn't. They did not give the option of changing rooms, and the staff were friendly but did not fix the problem. Very dissapointing for the price point.

    This hotel had a good location and the room had most amenities you would expect. The shower, however, was pretty grimy, with lots of black mould and the pressure was pretty bad too. Our room was on the same level as the pool, which meant we had to keep our cutains closed at all times, as anyone at the pool would've had a full view inside our room. The pool didnt look particilatly inviting, not at all like the official pictures, so we didn't use it. Overall this hotel served its purpose, but I feel it was overpriced for the quality and wouldn't choose it again.

    A short walk from Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and the waterfront. Close to the action but down a nice quiet street. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The hotel offers a delicious breakfast both buffet and menu and the lounge also offers a good variety menu.

    Outside of the hotel looks dirty & run down. The lobby looks nice. The rooms are just average. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. I think the rooms are over priced at $271 a night. Also, I didn’t realize until our last night that there was no flat sheet on the bed. That grossed me out. Will not stay here again.

    Staff at the front counter are rude, unwelcoming and not friendly at all. When we checked in they were not happy or welcoming of paying guests. They never explained the hotels amenities or services or where we could go for breaks/dinner. There is no room service and I even had to go and get my own breakfast bowl and spoon in the morning as no one would bring it to my room. Poor service for such an expensive room per night.

    Overall I felt that hotel was average due to the cleanliness of the property. Immediately walking into my room an odor reminiscent of cat urine hit me in the face which instantly downgraded my entire experience. I will say that the staff were very friendly and the "Marketplace" where you could buy food/drinks was adequate however there were not many food options beyond candy and chips.

    Some of the hotel is starting to show its age, and our room had a bit of a musty smell although appeared to be well cleaned. The pool wasn’t heated nearly enough to combat the windy days we were there, which was a shame. Given it’s billed as a family friendly place, it would’ve been nice to be provided with access to pool toys etc. I was disappointed by their use of disposable cups and water bottles instead of providing glassware and refillable bottles.

    When checking out, I asked for a valet receipt and saw a $255 charge—far too high for two days of parking. The staff said they “assumed” I had two cars. No apology was offered, though they did credit my card. Between the lack of communication, delayed check-in, and billing error, I would not trust staying here again.

    The location of this hotel is walkable to fisherman’s wharf. The staff was nice and attentive. We stayed here for one night before heading to Napa. We were given a queen bed but had reserved a king. We wanted to check in at 2pm instead of their regular check in time so we agreed. The room was an ADA room and had a pool view from the window. The shower was very difficult to figure out how to work the faucet, seems like an installation issue. The room had a lot of visible signs of wear and tear. For the price of the room we paid I expected a better maintained room.

    Didn’t have a great experience our room was dirty and had I don’t even know what was on the bed. We got checked into another room and it was fine but the toilet ran all night and a maintenance man took an hour and a half to fix it. Makes me think the cleanness of the hotel wasn’t ideal.

    The woman who helped us check in early was extremely kind and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Good and convenient Internet with Chromecast availability on the TV. The kids enjoyed the pool, which was 3 feet throughout. Fitness room was fine, though missing towels and the garbage was filled up with wipes (I presume we caught them between service). We didn't eat at the restaurant because of prices, but for breakfast, a Starbucks around the corner made for convenient early morning option. Nearby Trader Joe's was also helpful. Great location near Fisherman's Wharf with easy access to various public transportation options. Would definitely stay again!

    This hotel was a disappointment when it came to amenities and parking. Very stingy with in room amenities. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency on the cost of overnight parking in the garage connected to the hotel. First, the hotel should offer free parking for guests, with an option to pay for valet parking. They only offer valet which was inconvenient because the nearby pay pots did not offer overnight parking. The sign for valet shows $75.00 + tax per night. What the sign didn't show, and nor did the staff advise, there is a $35.00 destination fee added along with other taxes. One night of parking was $126.00 which is outrageous. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco.

    The required valet is so lame. $75 plus tax! They know they can corner us and they do. At checkout, I was told I had privilege to use the lot until 2 PM but then another employee stepped in and said I did not, that I had to leave immediately. When I picked up my car, the attendant told the customer in front of me that HE had access until 2 PM. I questioned this, saying that I was told I did not have access until 2 PM, and he shrugged and said “it must be something about the Fourth of July“ OK. What!? this doesn’t make sense, I had paid for 24 hour valet starting from 4 PM the day prior - that Math don’t Math! Rip off!

    No microwave, and the fridge is so small you can barely fit anything in it. I also did not like how they only provided 3 towels for my family of 4, but when I called and asked for a fourth towel they sent it up immediately. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean. They charge way too much for parking though. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay again.

    This was in a great walkable location to most places. Felt very safe there. Pool was great although it was a big wind tunnel in the pool area and the hot tub could be much bigger. Rooms were spacious and beds were super comfortable.

    The host was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. He told us what was close by how to get on the trains. It was lovely. The lobby was wonderful clean.     Overall, my stay at the Hyatt Centric was wonderful. Check-in was smooth, the staff was welcoming, the food was amazing—especially the dry rub wings—and the room was clean and refreshing. Unfortunately, check-out was a letdown. I was ignored for several minutes, and when I was finally assisted, the service felt rushed and dismissive. It was disappointing to end an otherwise great stay on that note, but aside from that one experience, everything else was excellent.
