For a property in the middle of the city in an older part of the city and right in the heart of Chinatown, this property is awesome. But it’s missing a lot of the amenities that Hilton’s are known for. The finishes are not as high end, the ac is not updated (found out they are just window boxes like found in cheap hotels that leak air), no room service, and smaller bathrooms. Being in the heart of a busy city and having the open air conditioner means you can hear the cars and people and planes flying by. It’s a very noisy hotel. It’s not all bad, it’s safe and secure and the staff are very friendly. The parking is safe and secure but $74 per night. Will I stay there again, probably not if I’m looking for a quite high end experience, but for quick access to city sure!

The Wifi access only granted if I revealed my phone # & email address by joining Hilton’s membership of some kind. The room’s atmosphere, at best grimey, with it’s old ugly furniture all painted black to disguise the age & cleanliness. Parking inside the hotel was very expensive & judging by the warn signs: also unsafe.

We booked the bay view room and it was beautiful!! The location is beautiful! Parking was easy. You can walk to various locations here. If you check out you can still leave your car parked there until 3pm. Will come back!

Over priced parking, the refrigerator is not working right, the tub does not look like Hilton level. There were diets under the table that looks like they didn’t vacuum well. We stayed there 4 years ago and were happy but disappointed this time. Our expectations were not met. Wil look for another hotel on our next visit to SF.

We took the trip to San Francisco for my birthday weekend. The room was clean but smelled musty. The bathroom definitely needs to be cleaned around the flooring. We had a mishap (very unfortunate) almost as soon as we arrived. A person was in the lobby committing Lewd and lascivious behavior. Security on site would be nice. We asked for a water at the front desk and we were told, as a one time courtesy, we could have a bottle of water. Thanks!! This hotel does not care if it is a special occasion or if you are traumatized on their property, you're just another number. We will not be staying at this property next time.

Great room and view of Alcatraz and Coit Tower. Very clean and comfortable. We had a great time, and did it all. E-bikes, E-scooters, Waymo, walking, Pier 39, Lands End, Golden Gate Park, North Beach and everything in between. That was just Saturday! Location makes it easy to get around to all the attractions. Great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at your lovely hotel. It was in celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary, and the receptionist did all he could to get us a great room overlooking Coit Tower. This is where I proposed, so it holds a special place in our hearts. That set the stage for the rest of the stay, and it, too, was wonderful. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our special day even more special!

The room had incredible city views, was quiet at night, and the bed was extremely comfortable after long days exploring San Francisco. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the overall atmosphere felt upscale without being pretentious. You can tell this hotel is run properly. Between the service, cleanliness, location, and overall experience, I’d absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco.

However, I was quite surprised and disappointed to learn that our booking (made through Expedia) did not guarantee rooms on the same floor. As we were traveling with children, this was an important consideration for us. At check-in, we were informed that if we wanted rooms on the same floor, we would need to pay an additional fee. This put us in a difficult position, and we felt compelled to pay extra to ensure our family could stay close together. It was frustrating, as this was not clearly communicated during the booking process, and it reduced the value of booking through Expedia. Overall, while the staff were courteous, I would strongly recommend that families confirm room arrangements in advance and that the hotel (or booking platforms) be more transparent about such policies.

We got a room on a lower floor overlooking rooftops. It was not great or worth the money we paid. I think the hotel is outdated. The air wasn’t working. The sheets were very scratchy. There are better properties in the City at a better value.

FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY SPENT HERE IM APPALLED THE WAY WE WERE TREATED. SECURITY AT OUR DOOR 5 TIMES BEFORE 10:45PM. MY FINACE AND I WERE VISITING SF FOR A PRE WEDDING GETAWAY WITH NO KIDS. HIM AND I ALONE. ASIDE FROM THE FACT I HAVE A VERY ASSERTIVE VOICE THERE IS ABSOLUTLEY NO REASON SECURITY AND FRONT OFFICE STAFF SHOULD BE AT MY ROOM FOR NOISE COMPLAINTS. WE HAD A BALCONY AND WERE UTILING IT AND THE NEIGHBOR TOOK PICS OF US AND BASICALLY INTAGONIZED US FOR "NOISE DISTURBANCE" ABSOLUTE NONSENSE FOR A HORRIBLE ROOM WITH THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE BED EVER. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS RUDE AND VERY INTRUSIVE WHEN COMING TO OUR DOOR. Customer service was great. The staff was helpful and very welcoming. The hotel is right by Chinatown and close to many restaurants and walkable to the cable car station. Many bus stops close by. Cons: The parking garage prices ($65+ tax per night) is ridiculous and no complimentary breakfast. The room walls are also super thin, you can hear your upstairs and next door neighbors. Unfortunately during my stay I had neighbors that loved to party after midnight and smoke weed. So my hallway smelled like weed during my stay (but that’s not the hotel’s fault). Overall, it’s a nice hotel but I personally wouldn’t go back again mainly due to parking prices and no complimentary breakfast.

Inhospitable female front desk name shaniii assigned a room for me this particular room is designed for a disabled person,next to ice machine maker and old elevator we’re making so much noises,I went to lobby and brought to her attention, she was rolling her eyes and loudly told me we are sold out , we don’t have rooms available to offer a quiet room. I did not sleep at all and this Hilton location staffs are not professional , room was dark , not enough light inside room and toilet,,I couldn’t use shower because deign for a disabled person with wheelchair. Very small room, no chair to sit down, iron was not working, looked like they have not used this room, no soap, very old towel, I have used Hilton world wide in Canada , Europe, USA , a motel 6 has better room . Staff and amitinties than this particular Hilton location, I noticed that they were not treating politely other guests who were traveling from different part of world.

location is good but that is about it The hotel was not up to standard for it being newly renovated. Upon entering the room, we noticed the bath tub was extremely dirty. We called the room service and turns out that is how the tub is. The 'dirt' was patched on grout. What was even more gross was that previous guests hair was stuck under that grout....desperate for a shower after long day of travel, we wore our slippers to shower and stand in the bath rub because of how uncomfortable and unhygienic the bathtub was. We were not given the option to more rooms or anything. We will definitely not be returning.

the website said there was a shuttle at the airport, called to find out they hadn't had one in years. Also the door to the bathroom goes off the track and gets stuck and is very heavy to move. Scary if you cant open the door and get stuck.

Right in Chinatown. The front desk, customer support, and security were all very professional and courteous. The view from our room was also very pretty. The housekeeping had to be called 3 times before actually coming our room to assist with a cleanliness issue. When the guy finally arrived, he was irritated so I just asked for the cleaning chemicals to do it myself. He just shrugged, put them down, and walked away. We also had the misfortune of having an extremely noisy neighbor who continued to party until 3:30am. I had to report the noise as a disturbance twice. Security did handle it swiftly both times, and the second time the people finally were quiet enough to tolerate. So thank you to security for handling that quickly. .

I have paid more than expected. I thought the total fee was $420 when I paid online, however they charged me more than $500. The parking is horrible; it costs $73, which is unreasonable. I will not book this hotel in the future. I know it is downtown, but unreasonable.

This is our second time staying at this hotel and we loved it. We stayed on the top floor, this time with a city view, and it was lovely. This hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Chinatown. We would definitely stay here again.

Great views!!! Comfy bed. Staff great. Only glitch was poor soundproofing from suite next door with very loud pair of young kids. Turns out the front desk team would have moved us after the first night if we had let them know earlier about the noise next door. Good info. Fantastic location with tons of restaurants, wine bars, cafes, parking garages (across Kearney from hotel had ok rate, easiest access). Quick walk few blocks to major bus, cable cars, few more to BART. Awesome home base.

This was not hotels fault but our stay unfortunately got impacted with the neighbors having an intense domestic dispute. I liked everything. The staff is always amazing. I can't say enough about them. The gentleman at the bar let me leave a few things down there while I took my breakfast back up to our room Even the other guests are very helpful. I had two cups of coffee in my hands and was taking them back to our room. Another guest was in the elevator with me and he was kind enough to push my floor for me. The noise level. Children were talking way too loudly. It's okay to be excited, but children should realize there are other guests in the building. There should be signs posted to be quiet after certain hours when going through the halls.

Many of the base rate room are on the same wall as the elevators and you can hear everytime the elevator goes by as if it is a subway going directly through your room. Walls are extrememly thin so even if you are not next to the elevator, hope you bring headphones and can sleep through a lot.

One negative is that they are optimized for business travelers. For example, there is no bell hop service - if you arrive with heavy bags you have to wheel them up a winding ramp exposed to the rain from where your vehicle arrives to the front desk by yourself. Also, there is a charge for WiFi service unless you belong to the Hilton Honors program. A charge for wifi? In this day and age, that's a silly as a charge for electricity!

Family of 7 with little ones here. We enjoyed our stay. It was nice and clean and the service was good. I didn't like that we had to pay for parking, $75/night. No breakfast and no microwave in our room. That was inconvenient. Besides that we had great time. The room had comfy beds and the bathroom was stocked.

When we arrived at the hotel, we checked in and got our room assigned. Once we opened our room door, there was someone else staying at our room. We went back to the front and explained the situation. The lady didn’t apologize for our experience or for there error. She was very rude with the situation. Although, she did assign us to a different room but I still felt unsafe that it can occur to me.

The condition of the property was also unacceptable. Cigarette waste was scattered all over the front entrance after the ash disposal container had overflowed. Instead of properly cleaning it, staff appeared to just pour water over the tile, leaving behind a dirty yellow-brown mess that looked unsanitary and created a slipping hazard. There were fireworks going off throughout the night that sounded like gunshots. As a military member who suffers from PTSD, this was extremely distressing. When I informed staff, they acted as if I was making it up or overreacting rather than showing any concern. I also contacted the general manager and never received a response. The room itself was poorly arranged. To use the coffee maker in the morning, I had to unplug the TV because there were no open outlets. I was also placed in an accessible room without any explanation, and the shower head was set unusually low, which made using the shower uncomfortable. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. Between the lack of professionalism, poor property conditions, surprise charges, and dismissive staff response, I would not recommend this hotel

The page for this hotel said there was an airport shuttle. That is false! And it was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. We ended up with a $65 cab ride plus tip to get there. They do have a car/driver to take you to the cruise port, but a cab is less expensive. Gotta fix that airport shuttle thing on the hotels.com site.

Disappointed, when I checked in, I was informed my room was next to the elevators. Sounded like airplanes flying over heaf all night long. I had know idea when I booked the room and would have gone elsewhere if I had know. I have been moved or upgraded for less distracting reasons at other hotels in the city. I will never stay at a Hilton again.

The bed was fairly uncomfortable, and the pillows were not the best. The shower needs a major upgrade as it had mold growing in between the tiles and around the tub. There is a fee to park your vehicle at the hotel, and the elevators are extremely busy. The air conditioner seemed like it didn’t run very well as it was set at 64, but it was still fairly warm. Calling the property was also very awkward because you get transferred through two automated systems and then a live person who then has to connect you to the hotel. The staff were not very friendly. Overall, it’s an extremely average hotel with average rooms. There is nothing amazing about it.

Felt safe staying here with my family. Parking is expensive but our car was safe and we had peace of mind. There are cheaper parking garages nearby which we were originally going to use, but while there we weren’t convinced they seemed safe. Entire property is clean and comfortable. Beds were also comfortable. I also used the gym which was on the smaller size but the equipment was nice and smooth. They sell to go breakfast for reasonable prices and there is a cute coffee shop down the street! I would stay here again

Both mornings of my stay a housekeeper violently banged on the door and entered the room despite me saying I was in the room. Today at 9am. I called to speak to someone at front desk and they told me ‘this isn’t out department’ then proceeded to tell me I’d be charged $25 per hour if I checked out late and that I owed $8 got a bottle of water. The room yesterday was not made up properly. I barely slept because of the fear of someone unknown employee entering my room. The linens were also stained. Gross. 0/5 stars.

The front desk staff—specifically Diane and a bearded gentleman—were arrogant and discriminatory; their tone and attitude were absolutely atrocious. They were unhelpful and provided terrible service; if you asked even a single extra question, they acted as if they couldn't be bothered to answer. Jon our bellman as we arrived was very accomodating, friendly and resourceful. He wouldnt let us help him with our staff. The other guys as we checked out - we waited for him to say something. He expected us to bring him or pass him our luggage. Wow. He wouldnt even come inside and bring out stuff. I had to ask my kids to help me and my husband. smh. Jon was better what a Belldesk staff should do. And yet that young man expected a tip after making us do his job. I swear he looked lazy and felt like making us rush. When my man’s birthday came in at midnight we were forced to change rooms because the toilet overflowed and was all over our floors then we were placed in a double bed and then we were placed in a room on the 18th floor and we had paid for high rise originally on the 24th floor . Yes, as we were getting back from a long day out, we got into bed and the sheets smelled of women’s perfume. We were so exhausted from all the walking all day and didn’t have the energetic to go to the lobby and get new sheets or change rooms but it was really off putting. We had to sleep above the covers. Really disgusting and infuriating that we can’t depend on clean sheets when paying for a hotel room

We got a great price on this place and the hotel was top notch. We had a petite king room which was plenty big enough for two of us for a two night layover. We didn’t have a car so didn’t pay the high parking surcharge. But we didn’t need one because you can walk to ferry and fisherman’s wharf and Lyft/uber is available. Sat at the bar one night and had appetizers. All great! Would definitely stay again.

Great location, very comfortable room with enough space and a great view of the city looking toward Coit tower and a small bit of the bay. Shower pressure was amazing and we loved having a bath. Also loved the Cloud room to watch the sports and the kids loved the gaming comouter. Would definitely stay here again.

We called the hotel in advance of our stay to request the room with a balcony and we were told it was noted and was guaranteed -when we arrived there weren’t any and we were told that the noted with there but the clerk didn’t finish the booking process 😭 We didn’t bother with the bar or breakfast after the disappointing welcome and sad state of the room itself. Elevators were extremely slow we gave up after waiting 15 minutes for one and ended up taking the stairs with all of our luggage. They have parking in sight but charged us $75 per night even though when we left their meter wasn’t working so said free of charge so we ended up paying for no reason. The stay was horrible actually. I reserved a room for two people, gave my partner my reservation number and went to my event. He was not allowed in and had to wait for me. When we finally got there together, we went up into our room and our neighbors were blaring music, talking and laughing loudly well after 10pm. ZERO noice insulation. They might as well as have been inside our room.We decided it would be best to drive two hours back home in the middle of the night and get a good night's sleep. When I checked out, no one asked why we were leaving after checking in less than 2 hours ago. VERY disappointed.

The receptacles in the bathroom didn’t work. The receptacle beneath the full body mirror was blanked off. And one of the face/hand towel in the bathroom has two hairs on it (I had just checked in so it wasn’t me).

I came in for early check explained I wanted a bay view patio room the lady at the front desk explained they didn’t have any of these rooms available at the time but it would be worth the wait tell one was ready we waited for nothing they didn’t give us a bay view instead stuck us in the back alley the room had a fridge it smelled of onions couldn’t even use it front desk was very rude!

The room was quiet for a few hours and this happened once again at 11pm. Barking/crying from the dog next door. Woke me and my family up. I contacted the front desk to see what they are doing about it and they said they have to call security to check on the incident. The barking continues. I called back and asked if they can move me to another room. They said they were completely full and all the available room they had was one double bed room which will not fit my family. We were in a 2 double room. The staff said that she was sorry and that they would offer compensation (which she didn't state what that was I go to check out this morning and they knew nothing of the incident. l asked about what the compensation would be and the staff said that they can only comp breakfast or parking. Both which again did not apply to us. l asked if they can comp our stay and they said usually nothing we can do if reservations are booked through third party sites' and that they can't do anything until a manager comes in at 3pm. This is really disappointing that Hilton is unwilling to do anything about this terrible stay. We were not able to sleep well due to all the noise disturbance

The room was great very clean a comfy bed and amazing views. Our only complaint was elevator wait times it took a while to get down to the lobby and back up to the room on a few occasions.

We did not like that we were charged $65 to park our car overnight. And we had to actually park it ourselves!! The room was $300 and if I had know about the extra for parking our car, I would have never picked the Hilton.

There was hair in the sink and tub and a used bar of soap in our shower. I called the manager and he said he would give us free parking. His name started with a J... He NEVER followed through with that promise.

Hotel was nice. The room was clean unfortunately I had the room right next to the elevator which I would highly recommend not getting. It’s so incredibly loud every time it goes up and down why they would’ve made this a guest room instead of a maintenance room is beyond me.

We chose the Hilton in the Financial District because of its proximity to the theatre we were going to. We were in for a pleasant surprise as we explored the China Town. Nice area to walk around and experience San Francisco’s Chinatown culture. Walking distance to some great food options and bars.

The room was a five star, no complaint there. Using the elevators was horrible! They had 4 elevators and they took about 5 to 10 minutes just to get into one. Very slow process and worst i had . Mind you it was Halloween weekend so i get why it was busy. Overall check-in was pretty fast.
