Ideal for overnight layovers. I arrived at SFO at 9pm and had a 13 hour international layover. The Grand Hyatt was ideal for me because it’s attached to the airport I avoided hotel shuttles or other ground transportation. My preference when traveling in unfamiliar areas, particularly at night and solo. The room was a bit pricey but the ease of access was a balanced trade off. I didn’t have to leave the airport.

I don’t like how you come in and have to take the elevator to the 4th floor to check in, and when you get off the elevator there’s no indication of where it is. My wait person at the restaurant seemed extremely rushed. She wore a mask and had a strong accent and spoke so fast and was gone before you could ask any thoughtful questions. She was all business and no play. Absolutely love how easy it is to get to your early flight. I will do this anytime I come to sf.

I am not taking off from the 5 stars because the room was great, but people, either have room service - real room service - or admit you’re not a high end hotel. A bag of flavorless, lukewarm, frankly gross, um, stuff, in a paper bag is not room service, it’s not even DoorDash. We threw it out and left early for the airport.

The best part of this hotel is that the air train is directly connected to it. It makes catching an early flight easy

The Grand Hyatt at SFO is a beautiful hotel which makes getting to an early flight so very easy. The air train stops directly above the lobby and takes you to your terminal in minutes. If you have a room with a view of the airport, it is really fun to watch the planes taxi into their gates, get serviced and then leave again. Wonderful entertainment if you like airports. The restaurant was good with very attentive and friendly staff. Bathroom and shower are luxurious.

The best & most comfortable airport hotel we have stayed in. Good size room for an airport hotel. Bed is very comfortable. Sensor lights under the bed & in the bathroom are a great touch so lights in the room don’t have to be turned on. The food from the Market store is very nice. Staff are friendly & helpful.

So convenient and takes the stress out of early morning flights to spend the night before at the Grand Hyatt or after getting off a long haul flight late at night to go right over to the hotel and not face a long drive home when you’re already wiped out. Staying at the Grand Hyatt SFO has now just become routine for our big trips. Love it. The staff are great too.

Breakfast was amazing!! I had the chicken and waffles and was in heaven!! Hubby had the crab cake Benedict and it was delicious!! Loved the big big containers of hot tea and coffee they left on the table!! Staff was So Pleasant and Friendly!!!

I had an overall pleasant stay at the Grand Hyatt. I really loved the room decor and the extremely comfortable beds. However, the air conditioner was quite noisy. We checked in rather late, and the front desk staff didn’t seem very welcoming. Compared with other Hyatt properties I’ve stayed at, the service here was just average. Still, the facilities and interior are fantastic.

I visit Bay area regularly, first time in this hotel because generally I hate airport hotels. But this was much better than expected. Logistically I saved at least an hour in 2 days plus the stress of evening and morning traffic jams to and from the airport. Please install a proper crunch bench in the fitness room. Probably the cheapest update possible, but important.

The coffee service inside my junior suite was laughable. That’s not a cup of coffee. The espresso machine is fine as a 2nd option, but having a large mug of coffee is what most travelers want. I had to call for multiple refill pods, and even then they brought me the decaf pods.

Convenient to the airport The staff are very rude asked for extra blankets for my children at 10 o’clock at night. Had to catch a flight at 3:30 AM. They didn’t bring the blankets up till midnight. Called three times. The phone in the room did not work for room service. Valet was horrible. I pulled up to take my luggage out of my rental car. Explain that I was mad valet. They told me I was not allowed to do that that pulling up in front of the hotel is for valet only.

When you order room service, you expect to get what you order. Such as when you order a pizza with pepperoni, you want to find pepperoni on the pizza. I ordered a small pizza and never found the pepperoni. Also, when I was trying to order a half bottle of wine, they seemed to be out of everything? How does a catering manager let that happen? At least he gave me a full bottle at half price. Sadly, I had one glass and left the rest. It was disgusting wine! Not to my standards that a Hyatt Hotel, especially charging what this one does, should have.

Did not eat breakfast! Better lighting in the room. Very moody and dark. Really hard to see, I was trying doing makeup in room while my husband shaved. You need to add a mirror and better lighting to enable people to see better, maybe handle some paperwork, etc. The rooms need choices of lighting for work or getting ready.

Great place to stay for an early flight from SFO. There is even a dedicated stop on the AirTrain line for the hotel so you don’t even have to go outside. The room and the public areas are well appointed and maintained. I will definitely do this again next time I’m flying early.

We travelled all day and ordered room service for dinner, it was awful: food came to the room in plastic take out containers with plastic cutlery, there were limited options for food and what came was far below what I would expect from a newer Hyatt staying in a suite. This time I finally went to the Quail + Crane for lunch and it was fabulous! Normally I just eat at the wonderful bar near the lobby which is also great. I saw a few reviews talking negatively about the night lights in the room and wanted to note that here. I personally love the fact that if I need to get up in the middle of the night, soft lights that are under the bed light up as soon as I swing my feet onto the floor. I can see my way to the bathroom without turning on lights that could further wake me up. Same thing with the floor lights in the bathroom. Once back in bed, just a minute or two and the lights turn out. Finally, yes, this hotel is not cheap. For me, it is totally worth it to reduce my stress and get a good night's sleep.

I love this hotel! It is a lifesaver if you have a super early flight. Great team all around, quiet, comfy rooms for a good night’s sleep and a 1 minute inside walk to the SFO AirTrain. I feel myself decompressing as soon as I walk in the door!

Easy check-in and check-out. Held my bags for 12 hours post check-out, as I worked in the city prior to my scheduled flight. Breakfast was good with good service

Nice respite after a long international trip. My connection was bad, so I opted to stay overnight and relax. I stayed on the 4th floor in a back corner room, so quiet and relaxing. The bar on the same floor had really good tacos and margaritas. So convenient with the Air Train. Highly recommend this hotel when in a travel quandry.

The staff was over the top helpful. Quite used to dealing with people coming in sleep deprived. Beds and pillows were wonderfully sleepable . I loved that they had accent lighting that came on if I got up in the middle of the night without having to turn on the light. Their crab and crème brûlée from the bar bites was delicious. Very convenient to the airport

By far the best place to stay when flying out of San Francisco.

Access to SFO via Airtrain was convenient. Much more than calling an Uber at 430am from a more budget off airport hotel. First time here, now we will stay here as part of our normal travel routine.

The hotel and the property were great. Disappointing that the restaurant closes by 10 PM and there is no room service. The most disappointing part was getting incorrect information from the staff.

Excellent property at SFO. Spent the night after returning rental car afternoon before mid-morning flight to decrease stress. Well worth it.

This is a wonderful hotel at SFO. If you have a layover or just in town for a couple of nights with an early departure back east this is a great place to stay. Staff is super! Hotel is clean and the restaurant is very good. I've stayed here several times and it does not disappoint.

The hotel had excellent sound-proofing. Even though the hotel is adjacent to the San Francisco airport, we did not hear planes taking off or landing, or traffic noise, or noise from adjacent rooms. The hotel is easy to get to as it is one of the stops on the airport's AirTrain system. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming.

We stay at the Grand Hyatt every time we travel internationally. We love the convenience of having the train so close. The staff are very helpful. The room is clean and has nice amenities. We usually dine at Quail+ Crane.

Our original room had a shared door with the families room next door. This made sound easier to travel. When bookings families, I would think it would be best practice to avoid shared door rooms to help provide a better noise buffer.

Easy stop in Air Train to SF Grand Hyatt. Love this. Place. Very beautiful rooms and great bedding. Dining in the hotel and a 24/7 market available. It’s my new SFO stopover.

I have stayed at the SFO Grand Hyatt a few times. Very good hotel, modern and well maintained. Obviously super convenient for SFO but also easy to get to downtown SF on the BART. A little limited to one restaurant and a bar (which closes a little early at 11pm even on a weekday), but the food is vex, especially the Sushi. Room service is pretty expensive but that is to be expected but may push some folks to Uber Eats etc. i would recommend this hotel.

The menu at the restaurant was very culturally specific. It was good but not exactly what I was looking for.

All amazing, except the sheet/comforter on the bed was a combo and attached. I prefer a separate sheet, but that’s my only gripe. Everything else was clean, comfortable, visually appealing, and the staff was professional.

Everything was perfect. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent.

Aurora at the front desk was wonderful

Grand Hyatt SFO is a great hotel. I was surprised that the TV choices did NOT include Fox Business Channel or CNBC. Only Bloomberg was offered, a poor third choice. There is really no excuse for not including the two premier business channels.

The valet parking guys got all of our luggage to our room no problem after i parked like an idiot.

Great hotel. Super convenient to the airport. They have a shuttle that takes you right to the hotel. Hotel is super nice and clean. Rooms are big and bathroom is updated with amenities.

If you have an early or late flight make your life easy and park yourself at this hotel. The staff work together. The rooms are clean and rolling out of bed had jumping on the air train to get to you terminate can't be easier.

Tip; Get 10th floor or higher, even numbered room if into watching runway operations and bring your own binoculars as theirs are not the best. Can ride tram to airport gate locations. Airport has a small museum so it was a quick fun little excursion to explore the airport and ride the tram. Hotel Cafe had good Mac & Cheese for son w/seating at tables by the bar to eat and get a signature adult cocktail. $$$ but it is Marriott so expected and worth it for the convenience. Had extra sheet and pillows brought to room two separate times, each time promptly. Room was clean. Since it was a staycation we appreciated feeling safe and 24/7 valet parking w/friendly staff. Will stay again.

We stay here regularly when flying out of the international terminal. We find it most convenient to fly into SFO from San Luis Obispo the day before an international flight; it is so easy to get on the AirTrain and whizz over to the terminal. And the experience interacting with staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the convenience of the hotel food offerings makes us feel like royals.

Staff makes for the best stay and the Grand Hyatt staff, from the receptionist (in and out) and wait staff were superlative. Excellent facilities (my wife's comment "understated elegance" is right on). Beautifully-equipped bathroom.

Super convenient! Came in from a late flight and decided last minute to give this place a try as I didn’t feel like waiting for the shuttle bus for other hotels. Just jump on the red Air train and literally arrives you at the steps of the hotel. Yes it’s pricier, I could have saved half the amount another Hyatt brand hotel or Hilton Or Marriott, but I was paying for the convenience of just knowing I was at the airport,not waiting forever for a shuttle bus, and the hotel still felt amazingly new with the most comfortable bed and luxurious feeling is hard to find in an airport hotel.

I booked this hotel for its convenience to the airport because I had about 12 hours to catch my next flight. The room was spacious, clean, and probably the most quiet hotel I’ve ever stayed in, even with the airport right next door. The staff was friendly and the valet guys were fun to talk to while waiting for my rides.
