This is a good place to stay before a cruise 🛳. I would not stay for any longer.

The room was large and comfortable. We had 2 queen beds. The bathroom was also spacious. The location was great for everything we wanted to visit, with public transport steps away. Would recommend. The walls could use a coat of paint, they were pretty scuffed.

Loved how clean and fresh the room was. Our room was at the back and inner side which would recommend if road noise will disturb your sleep. Had elevator which helped with luggage. Great location for catching muni bus and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would come back again Only thing was noise of (I think bin truck) large truck early first morning before 6 but everything else was good.

The location was great in terms of being close to the marina and chestnut street. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was close to a main road with a stop light, this made it very very loud and impossible to sleep. The bathroom had a funky smell that made the room a bit stinky. Elevator was a little scary.

Location is perfect. Public transport at door. Walk to the wharf, pier 39 area. Lots of food options. The staff were not helpful.

It was close to our Alcatraz swim meet. It was very noisy.

Nice big room with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The lady we dealt with (owner or manager) was somewhat rude, but unhelpful in the extreme - would not let us make a phone to to elsewhere in California, but the lady we bought a coffee from did. No decaf coffee available. No facilities to weigh our suitcases. The window cills in the room were very dirty. The blinds did not keep out the light. Worst of all, despite booking on a pay on check in basis, they took a payment in advance. We are also still owed a credit!

Clean, comfortable beds. Room has everything you need to be comfortable for a couple of nights sleep. Owners are kind. A lot of traffic noise from the city and parking is challenging. Very small, limited spaces.

Location is 10 to 15 mins to the Pier39. It is on Lombard Street a few minutes walk to the windy road.. the rooms were clean and it was going through a refurbish without disturbance to the guest. free parking.

Central location - near many shops, buses to go to downtown and Golden Gate Bridge. Staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in early and check out late. The room was slightly small - there were 3 of us and it was manageable. Could be more difficult if there are 4 adults. But otherwise would still stay here again!

inside of the room was clean enough outside carpets are plain dirty, the parking space is extremely narrow, and i could hardly sleep from the street noise, even though I requested one that's farther from the street

The room smelled amazing when we walked in.! It was newly refurbished, very clean & had all the things we needed during our stay. The fridge was quiet so didn't bother us at all.! We were close to what we wanted to visit and we felt safe walking around the area. Nothing

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. A bit loud between rooms, you can hear people above you stomping around.

Your manager Raj was very helpful in assisting us, with any enquiry we had. Also, when I emailed him, while still in Perth, West Australia, he responded immediately , helping me, check into my flight to SAN Francisco. He really is an asset to your hotel. In a personal issue, he went out of his way to get the required assistance to help us….. It was just the noise from the traffic and music from the cars….We had I early morning interruption by construction workers but that was all.

We arrived early off a cruise, along with around 8other couples and the manager went above and beyond to get us all in as early as he could. The big bus stop #13 was right there but we found it easier to catch a number 28 local bus down to Fisherman's Wharf to where the bus started as they weren't staggering the start Only small inconsequential things like no safe in the room and shower over the bath

I was attending a wedding nearby and found staying here was convent due to included parking and proximity to neighborhood amenities. Check-in was great and actually about one hour earlier due to asking if the room was ready before dropping by. Staff were friendly and accommodating. There is a great coffee machine in the lobby with various menu options for Starbuck’s coffee from 7-9am. I would stay here again. Cheers!

It’s a motel and under construction on the outside. The rooms are ok like you’d expect in a hotel. The staff were not helpful or very friendly, I would not stay here again.

A fab night sleep, clean room and very helpful staff. I dont understand the negative reviews for this hotel. If you want 5 star hotels, pay 5 star rates.. we thought this hotel was a very good 1 night stay on a road trip. Nothing to not like

The customer appeared to be struggling with English, and instead of offering patience or support, the employee behind the counter spoke to her in a condescending and aggressive manner. Unfortunately, our own interaction with the same staff member was just as unprofessional. The issues didn’t stop there. The room itself was excessively noisy, the bathroom exhaust fan was not functioning, and the shutters failed to block out light. The furniture also felt low-quality and cheaply made, which only added to the overall negative impression. I will not be coming back.

Nothing, it was terrible. The staff were rude and not helpful. We found mold in various places in the room, many strands of hair of different sizes and variety on all surfaces/towels/bed, unknown stains on walls/bed/pillows/towels. We had to request a refund and left to another hotel. The hotel did not issue the refund they promised and I had to follow up twice to make sure it went through.

Clean, spacious room, in a very convenient part of the city (two blocks from the winding part of Lombard street). Bus stops nearby, coffee and food options close. Noisy AC, also quite some noise from the street, but nothing you can't bear with (even for a light sleeper like me).

Large, clean room main room and bathroom, king-sized bed. We had a room in the back which made it more removed from street noise. Onsite parking. Great, fancy coffee/specialty drink machine available in the morning. Staff was available and friendly. Parking spaces are tight. Bring a small car if you can. Watch your step - rugs on stairs, top of steps was worn and ripped up in places. I was more interested in the room being clean and as quiet as possible so did not really care.

The property is on the corner of two busy streets with two stoplights in each direction, so there was a ton of road noise (engines revving, loud brakes & music, etc) that really bothered us the first night, but we sort of got used to it. All in all- clean room, good location, room had a nice mini fridge and microwave so we could heat up or store simple breakfast items, the price was price, but I'd probably look for a different property for future trips because of the road noise and parking situation.

It was in a great location, and offering parking was a huge draw. The parking situation was VERY chaotic to try to figure out late at night in the dark while it was raining. I lost probably 20 min trying to figure out where I should be. It was a bit hard to hear the gentleman at the front desk between his quieter tone & the traffic noise.

The location, parking, cleanliness, and helpfulness of the staff made this stay a very happy one! The only issue with the property is the overnight noise from the street. Bring ear plugs and/or ask for a room that doesn't face Lombard Street.

The location was perfect. It is in a great neighborhood, minutes from the Warf. The staff! The owner Henry Patel called my room. I was asleep he said my rental car was going to be towed. I ran downstairs.In a daze because I was asleep. He began to raise his voice and said "Where is your parking pass?" I said it fell off the dash. He kept yelling at me. Then he complained how I was parked. He got louder and louder. I told him this is not how your treat a paying guest!! He said " Now you are mad at me." He did this in front of people who were about to check in. I could not sleep for the next two nights. I had so much anxiety. I even forgot important stuff in the room. I told him I would never stay here again. He said, " I do not care."

We left our car and went to get breakfast after we checked out (~10AM, checkout was at 11) and got a call from the lady saying they were going to tow our car at 11:15 so we had to call a Waymo back and rush back. We thought she was pretty rude at the time, but she could’ve just not told us so there’s that. The layout of the bathroom was weird, door didn’t lock either.

It was clean and in good shape. My room weight next to the stairs and the street so it was very loud but I was able to sleep so not too bad. I’d stay again it was a good walking distance to the Warf.

We requested permission to leave our small bags in the lobby while we went out for breakfast, particularly given that we were completing an early checkout. Initially, she agreed, but moments later retracted her approval without providing a clear explanation. When we indicated that we would instead keep the bags in the room until the standard checkout time of 11 a.m., she informed us that our checkout had already been processed. This response was both unhelpful and unnecessarily abrupt. Following a brief but uncomfortable exchange, she reluctantly agreed to reopen our room until the designated checkout time. Nonetheless, the interaction left a negative impression due to the lack of courtesy displayed.

The room was clean, although a bit smaller than expected with two queen beds. The staff were nice. The location is good. The beds were comfy. Almost everything was slightly better than I expected for the price. The room was everything I needed and all around a good experience. Would recommend.

The staff is amazing. My room was by the stairs and was the closest room to Lombard Street hence it was quite noisy. I did not find the bed overly comfortable and the same for the pillows. It was an average room at a competitive price hence the average rating.

Just one night here but the front desk was able to check me in into a room very early, before the 3pm check in. Room was very clean and modern. The area is really close to restaurants, bars and attractions. Parking was simple and we had no issues.

The outside looked a little rough, but the inside was beautiful. Very clean, the same room feature of a super expensive hotel downtown, and so cozy. I will be staying again.

When I checked in the gentleman was kind and helpful because I had two other family member checking in just a bit later. He told me to take a picture of the parking rules etc... So I did. We went out for dinner came back and the woman at the desk greeted me with EXTREME attitude when I asked about the parking and I did not understand their map I took a picture of. Needless to say my husband went in and gave her a few words after watching the exchange thru the window and knowing it did not go well. Then we found out when one of the other family members had checked in, got her and she was very rude to them as well. So it was not just me. However, I will not stay here again because of her.

The Francisco hotel is perfect all around not fancy, but nice, clean , new furniture easy walk to Ghirardelli, The buena vista adjacent to the beginning of the Trolley. FREE PARKING!! Will stay here on my next trip. The good price isn't a Reflections of hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable. Road noise is loud though, so plan accordingly. I had to sleep with headphones in to drown it out. Had to knock off some stars for the service. The guy who checked us in was very rude from the get-go. After we checked in we asked if there was any way to pay to park an extra car since we had driven in from different states and were told no even though there were spots available and nothing online said it was limited when we booked it. They even have double-deep spots that can fit two cars. I should have called ahead to ask, but didn’t think about it till we got there. They would only give us another parking spot if we booked an entirely new room which would have been hundreds of more dollars than leaving it in a garage. We even asked if we could just leave it one night and move it the next day since it was already so late and the guy basically laughed and told us to get lost. So at 11pm we had to go drive around looking for a secure garage to leave our other car. Every time you drive in they will come out of the office and harass you until you show them your parking pass and also micromanage your parking job if it isn’t perfect. Very annoying!

Clean hotel and ideal for a couple of days in San Francisco

Exactly what we were looking for with an economy hotel. Located close to the wharf and on a main road with easy access to public transportation. The room looked remodeled with a modern look. Nice and clean and functional. There was also parking included on the property, which is a huge plus. The accommodation is simple, but perfect if you don't plan of spending a lot of time in your room, just need it to sleep at night. Would definitely recommend if this is what you are looking for.

The management works hard at making the hotel feel like it is brand new. They really make the effort to ensure their guests’ satisfaction.

Property is centrally located to the Presidio, marina district, Ghirardelli, Fort Mason and Pacific Heights.l (all within walking distance) Very clean, friendly staff, and easy parking. Rooms have been updated, and are comfortable. Lombard is a busy street and it does get a bit noisy, but the location is great. I will definitely stay again.

The BALL GUY in the reception room was so rude. Very disappointed Francisco Bay Inn have staff like him.

The entire property and room was well kept

This motel is very centrally located with an easy walking distance to the wharf district and North Beach, and it is right around the corner from a bus line to the mission district. My room was updated and clean, had a bathtub, which I appreciated, had a nice TV. The motel staff was exceptional, and even allowed me to park my car a few hours before check-in so that I could make this tour I had booked. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if you have friends coming into San Francisco the one an affordable option with parking.

A very clean and comfortable place to stay that is close to the fisherman’s wharf area, many stores and restaurants, and the muni bus stop if you want to explore the many other areas of SF. Loved the free parking option and the complementary coffee in the morning. Staff was very nice. Check in and check out was a breeze. Highly recommend!

We stayed over for one night.The desk clerk was very helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed the room and the beds were so comfortable!!!! We had a great nights sleep.We will definitely return to this hotel.I appreciate the desk clerks attention to detail !!!

We spent one night at Francisco Bay Inn. Reasonably affordable hotel with free parking and walkable to the wharf and pier. It’s an older building but the rooms have been updated quite nice with comfy beds. Room was clean. The walls are thin and it’s noisy but we were exhausted and crashed. The AC unit was noisy as well. I would absolutely stay here again, it worked out quite well for us. if you are a light sleeper, skip this one.

Noise level was high, particularly of guests. While parking is free, they spots are very small and fill up very fast.

Well located and within walking distance of attractions like Lombard Street and Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39. Union Square and China Town are also within walking distance, albeit a little further away. The hotel is on a very busy road, so the noise may bother some people. We were so tired from all of the walking and travelling that it didn't bother us at all. Parking is very tight, particularly as we had a RAM truck, but the receptionist came out at helped us squeeze into a space, which was much appreciated. Overall I'd definitely recommend this hotel for short stay in San Francisco, as we both felt that it was well priced (given that it was also July 4th), clean, and conveniently located.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and very nice. Room and bathroom was remodeled and clean. Windows are sound proof, no noise from the street. I really recommend San Francisco Bay Inn.

Property inside was newly renovated. Very clean modern and bed is very comfortable along with sheets and pillows clean and soft. Staff was very nice , communicated well, and very helpfull and respectful. Would definitky reccommend.

This was in the perfect part of SanFrancisco. It was close to everything. The staff was very welcoming and let us park at the property for a few hours after we checked out.

The room was clean and organized but the noise of the air conditioning was unbearable and I couldn't sleep for two nights.

While the property staff is very nice and the location was convenient. This property is very loud and the beds and pillows are hard. We heard every siren and speeding car all night. However, it is clean and a short drive to many restaurants, museums and the beach. We will most likely not be staying here again. I’d you stay maybe ask for a room in the back to help drown out the noise.

Cute little Italian style coffee shop, convenience store and fabulous pizza restaurant all just a short walk from the hotel. Several main attractions are within walking distance as well. Lombard street, Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf, all within a 20-25 minute walk away. This is so helpful since parking in these areas is challenging and at a premium price.

The property is conveniently located and close to major attractions! Staff are great and accommodating, and managed to get us a room for an early check-in. The room was nice and clean. The property is close to a busy road though so it can get noisy at times from vehicle traffic.

We stayed here before and had a better experience. However, this time we were placed in a room right along the street, so the traffic was much noisier. Plus, the neighbors this visit were loud (yelling outside during evening hours and stomping inside the room @4:30am). Despite not getting the best sleep, the staff was kind and parking was safe.

My wife and I stayed at the Francisco Bay Inn during her knee surgery, and we were very pleased with our experience. Henri, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure we were well-cared for. He made sure my was comfortable and that her post-surgery needs were not a concern. Overall the hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly.

Hotel is in a great location, very close to the bridge and with lots of public transportation nearby. Staff was very helpful and made sure there was always parking available. Room was really nice, clean, and modern.

The owner/manager was so kind & so helpful. It is basic, but super clean, spacious, parking friendly, close to good eats. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here as there were 3 of us. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had 2 queen beds. They have an elevator; ice machine and a really cool coffee machine in the lobby! Serves Pete’s and Starbucks! I really dug the guy at the front desk, very attentive and knowledgeable. Well, that’s what you can’t read. Will be returning.

Nice motel on Lombard street with easy access to San Francisco. Free parking for cars was a wonderful plus. Rooms were clean and well maintained and the motel was quiet overall with no drama or issues.

Stayed here for a night. Okay for the price. Our room had a musty smell and our bathroom fan didn’t work. Staff were pleasant and check in/out was quick and easy

However, the noise was Lombard St was too much. The rooms had poor sound proof, and the noise from the traffic, especially the motorbikes, could be disruptive to many sleepers.

The room itself was very nice and clean. The walls are very thin and we unfortunately could hear every word of people who passed by our room. The traffic noises were so loud that we did not get much sleep after 6am when the traffic started. The location is great and we had a great view of the golden gate bridge from our window. We will unfortunately not stay again due to the extremely loud noises.

The property was decent, the room was clean, and it was very affordable. The rooms are smaller than I expected and if there’s no parking you’ll have to double park. We were within driving distance of everything which was great! The gentlemen that work there were extremely kind.

We checked in so late and they were so accommodating. The beds were comfy and we walked to the MOST delicious breakfast spot ever in just 2 minutes. New spot on Polk…you won’t regret it!!!

Loved everything but the area. There's a bus right out the front which is convenient, and only like a $10 uber to fisherman's Wharf so it's not the worst. Staff were very kind, and rooms was immaculate. Very happy with our stay.

The best option in the neighborhood

Property was good .A little old and dated but did what we needed .Bath had no plug so gentleman changed us to a new room straight away so that was good .

I had no problems checking in or parking. Hotel was very basic, but super clean. Felt safe and quiet. Hot water and fridge worked. Bed was comfortable. Tons of food options within walking/driving distance. I’m usually very on edge and observant of surroundings, but I saw absolutely nothing worrisome and felt very safe.

I was really impressed by my stay there. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the room was clean and comfy. You never know what you are getting when booking on line, but this place was great. I would stay there again. Fridge and Microwave in room. Big comfy bed and big screen TV.
