I've stayed here for 10 days and I've enjoyed the location and pricing. My room had a fridge, microwave, TV and a sink which was convenient. The shared bathrooms and showers were fine, although one of the showers was just a bathtub and the other got closed near the end of my stay due to sanitary reasons, so I had to go to another floor. Bed was nice and comfy, check-in took a bit of time but was smooth overall, for the price this stay was great. Street noise was loud even for someone like me who can sleep through a lot, mostly due to vehicles in the morning, but this was easy to solve with earplugs. Room was mostly clean, but the closet hanger line was damaged, and there was an extension cord for the TV that was just hanging mid-air which didn't instill confidence. No elevator, had to carry my luggage up two flights of stairs, but it's an old building so not unexpected.

Good location near restaurants and public transport. A couple of blocks from Fisherman's Wharf The place is just right. The room was clean. Aesthetically, it doesn’t look very nice at first sight, but it serves its purpose as a safe place just to sleep. The bathrooms needed some maintenance, but they were clean. I stayed on the second floor, with around 20 rooms; there were two showers and three toilets (something to keep in mind regarding the shared bathroom). As an observation, from one of the rooms there were some small cockroaches coming out, and it was noticeable that they were trying to get rid of them without much success. (In my room I didn’t have any pest problems.)

Nice stuff and location. WiFi worked only on the 1th floor and I stayed on the second. Also there was no shower in the bath and I had to take a shower in the other side of the floor.

I liked the price the most. The thin blanket was the worst part

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and the location was excellent. The facilities are a little rough around the edges but at this price at this location, it's well worth it.

Great location for our needs. I liked that there was a sink in the room, along with a mini fridge and microwave. The bed has 0 support, very cheap. No fan or ac. No screen on windows. Because the bathrooms are shared, they get dirty fast. Urine in and around the toilet. Dirt, snot, and more on the shower floor.

Loved the location, and the room was spacious with good views. I could see Chinatown and the Coit Tower, and the bed was comfy. The hall toilets didn't flush, and were very dirty by the end of the day.

Great location, fair price, very nice staff. Rooms and (shared) bathrooms were clean musty smell of cigarettes/weed

Bed was ok, but nothing was bad considering the price

It was a good price and a very nice location. Hygiene was very bad. I'm used to cheap hotels and my hygienic standards really aren't that high, but the bathrooms were very dirty: dirty and/or sticky floors, urine on the floors and toilet seats and unflushed toilets made it very unpleasant to go to the bathroom.

Can't beat it for location and price! Staff are super nice too and do a great job

Given the location and price fair value for money Shared bathrooms are a bit rough, and not many for the number of rooms that share these, beds are a bit low quality.

The staffs were very nice and professional My room was on the 2nd floor and at the far left corner of the property. The room was leaning on one side and felt very unsafe. The whole time I felt like the building was going to collapse. Lastly, 3 out 5 windows inside my room was not able to close all the way and it’s San Francisco weather :(

Room was small but clean and quiet. Very nice location. Fine for 2 nights and price. Bathroom and shower in hallway need more attention from staff.

It's all about location. It's close to Fisherman's Wharf. It's right on Columbus and Lombard (the famous crooked street in SF), so it's easy to get to ALL the tourist areas . The people were pretty nice, always smiling. Te room has a flatscreen, a fridge, a microwave oven and a sink. It's right next to/in Little Italy, so lots of great neighborhood restaurants. It's a below average stay. Although the sheets were clean, the pillow cases could have used a bit of bleach. But you get what you pay for. The windows dont really close, so if you happen to be there over the weekend, there's a comedy club and the line to get in is right under your window. It's good to book if you only need a place to sleep for a few hours and explore the city the rest of the time.
