    Rude staff and not helpful at all. The bar staff kept staring at my party in a weird way so we left feeling uncomfortable. They kept talking about us pointing fingers. I wish they would have told us what the issue was.

    Not worth the money. Mouse problem in the lobby. Downstairs restaurant is not open. Was told the coffee shop was going to open at 7am 7:20am still not open then the front desk said sorry it’s closed for the day because someone didn’t come to work. Valet was unorganized, front desk staff had zero desire to help. I called the front desk to get our car out of valet 20 min in advance and it seemed to be a huge inconvenience that I was calling. Apparently valet was supposed to give us a QR code which we never got. Took forever to drop our car and get it out of valet. At one point valet couldn’t find our keys.The system went down for key cards. No hospitality from the staff they are all there just for the paycheck. Shower floor in the room was gross. So disappointing especially because we just stayed at the Wilbur Litiz in Pennsylvania and loved it.

    We have stayed at canopy several times throughout the years and it’s always been good. However, this time the room AC was turned off in the middle of the night and it was extremely hot. We couldn’t get it turned back on. Additionally, we stayed for one night, but we’re charged three nights of valet parking. When I called the lady that I spoke with argued with me for 20 minutes before finally reversing the two nights valet parking that I did not use. It didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth afterwards and probably won’t be staying here in the future. Too bad.

    Several lights in the room were not working, so it was very hard to see during night time. We still made it through the night as we were super tired, HOWEVER! We were woken up by the room cleaning staffs attempting to open our door at 9:18 AM!!! Luckily we put on the safety lock, or they could've just walked in while we weren't even properly dressed. Tbh, very disappointed, no idea why would any staff try to enter a room that hasn't checkout at 9:18 AM!?! Did not receive any further response after we notified the front desk either.

    Check in was nice and helpful. Held out bags before checking in. Trying to use the rooftop bar was a horrible experience. They were extremely rude and didn’t offer us a better solution to getting service. They just sent us away. Then we had no remote in the room to watch tv since we couldn’t get in. It took a very long time to get the remote to our room. Hotel had a great view and was a beautiful place, staff needs work.

    Great Location right next to the Moscone convention centre where my event was! Hotel is well maintained, clean, pleasant staff, room was small and quirky, had everything you needed, bedsheets are excellent quality, had great sleep. House keeping is excellent. The lobby set up but by the second day, I got over the shock!

    Excellent location for SF Giants game. It’s about a 15-20min walk to the Oracle Park. Room could have been cleaner upon arrival - there was debris on the floor, incomplete towel sets, and the shower connection was loose so water got everywhere.

    This property shows well online; however, I found the actual experience to be somewhat disappointing. Rooms are highly value engineered and very cramped. I booked a single king-sized bedroom with a city view for two adults. The configuration of the floorplan is such that the bathroom amenities are in the room's entryway. There are so many features crammed into the entry way it's impossible for two people to get ready at the same time. hangar space is limited by your suitcase, and your shower will humidify and heat up the entire room. Mind you, I live in a 650 sq ft apartment, so I'm fine with a smaller space, but this was verging on stifling. The rooftop restaurant was booked up and the host wasn't proactive about finding seating for hotel guests - so don't bank on enjoying that amenity if you book on impulse. The lobby bar was also closed on a Saturday night - luckily there are plenty of options in the neighborhood. The location is probably the best thing going for this location.

The facility does not offer self parking so you have no choice to valet park. And the you g lady in the coffee shop was extremely rude. Not kind. And handed out hot coffees with out a sleeve burning our hands. Lastly when we asked for a napkin she rolled her eyes and handed us 4. When we asked how much coffee was she pointed to the wall and said the menu is there. Her service was awful.

    Very small rooms with very little space for clothes. If you are staying for more than a few days, you will not have enough space to put clothes in a dresser since none exist. The restaurant was mediocre. The location next to the conference center was the biggest plus. The staff was friendly, I must mention that.

    Good location and friendly staff Unfortunately someone allowed construction work to start at 7:45 am on a Sunday morning in both rooms on either side of the room we stayed in. We had asked for a later checkout (noon, which the hotel accommodated graciously) because we had a long day and thought the extra time was necessary, only to be woken up before 8am on a non weekday, to the sound of someone literally hammering on the wall of our bed. I completely understand when necessary maintenance needs to be done, but I felt that this was not a pressing issue and affected us in a very poor way. A small amount of diligence could have prevented this situation, and I think that’s what bothers me the most.

    The location was good. The roll in shower was nice and had a hand held shower head option. The black light switches were very hard to read making it difficult find which switches to use. Valet parking is really the only option because the closet public garage is far and away and street parking is not easy to find, Valet was very efficient and timely. The room had dirty sliding doors on the water closet and shower, the floor was sticky and the wall under the tv had several dirty markings across it. When O brought it to the attention of the staff it was taken care of promptly.

    I enjoyed this place a lot. The retro look is fun, wooden card keys are neat, great staff and good views from the room. Mixed opinions on the room. It’s great by most standards I suppose but small, with a narrow hallway for hangers on one side and the sink the other etc… cool lighting… the sleeping area is quite small, bed takes up most of it. The lighting is eccentric and the switches tough to figure out / hit or miss. Looks cool though. The room was quiet mostly. There was a couple next door being frisky, but only for 30 mins or so. There was a party overhead. A text to hotel clerk quieted that right down, as they promptly sent security in response. Perhaps my biggest draw when booking was the rooftop bar and restaurant… you need reservations for that and we didn’t make them. We had dinner on the inside instead, the food was tasty but the menu small and the prices HIGH. Service was poor and difficult to engage. The atmosphere was pretentious. No bread to start the table off? Really? No bread, period, that’s just odd. As I said, food was good, quality good, but expect more for the price. Parking is a nightmare, obviously and quite visibly, but we Ubered in. It’s a fun, quirky, mostly friendly place with a retro vibe and a touch of luxury. Overall, I recommend it, I’d just go out for dinner. There is a lot in the neighborhood.

    When I first got there the valet was kinda rude and said he didn’t have space for my car and told me to find parking somewhere else, I had to park 3 blocks away and walk with all my luggage under the rain. When I was checking in the lady checking in said to wait and started talking to the valet guy and went outside, and the other lady said I can take care of you, when she checked me in she just took my deposit and gave me the key and didn’t really explain more or even sounded happy and I felt like I was a bother, when I got to my room I was very disappointed I paid for a city view and it wasn’t, it was a view to a parking lot. They offered to move me way later but by that time it was just more work to pack everything up and I didn’t want to sound bothered to my partner. I just don’t know why they didn’t just assigned me to the room I booked from the beginning, I flew in, and I paid a lot of money to get this room and I was disappointed the whole time, I stayed somewhere else the next day for $114 dollars and I had a way better experience. Service was bad and I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying there, not worth your money.

I booked a room with a view and my view was literally just a view of the back of the buildings. Next, to the cleanliness. The showers were super dirty and the tables as well, I had to ask the front desk person to change my room because I felt so disgusted that I didn’t want to sleep on the bed. Especially for a Hilton hotel, the quality was very low. I suggest not staying here and to heavily reconsider paying a little extra to stay at other high rated hotels not in SOMA. The only thing convenient was the transportation and that’s because the muni train station is right down the street, but overall I am very disappointed with HILTON and don’t want to stay with Hilton anymore at least in the sf area.

    There is a staff member at the reception desk named Vahid who is rude and unhelpful toward guests from the same nationality as him (for God knows what reason). Also, I wouldn’t call this hotel soundproof; you’ll hear a lot of noise from both inside and outside. Food cannot be served in your room either. Other than these issues, it was an okay experience for me.

    Location Didn’t like how you have to pay an additional $75.00 just to park your car there. This is not disclosed at time of booking the room and that is bad business practice. I have never paid an additional charge just to park your personal vehicle at the hotel I have stayed at. I think that is unfair and a ripoff.

    We stayed in the king room with the city view. I liked the decor of our room. It had a lot of character! The bed was super comfortable, the shower was one of the best hotel showers I’ve been in. Not only was it huge, but it had a lot of water pressure and there were two showerheads, plus the shower door completely closed you in so you got a steam effect! The hotel bar downstairs was huge and glamorous, just as shown in the pictures and the city view from the rooftop restaurant was also impressive!

    It was conveniently located near convention center and near Whole Foods for healthy food options for a business traveller. I also used Yerba Bueno gardens as a nice safe running loop in the middle of the city. Some staff were very friendly and helpful, but not the door man.

    This is a great hotel whether you're on a business or personal trip. There is a nice coffee shop attached to the hotel which serves breakfast. There is a beautiful hotel bar on the first floor. And even more amaxing rooftop restaurant on the 12th. I will recommend this place to anyone traveling to SF, especially for anyone wanting to stay in SOMA.

    We got early to the hotel since we had an early flight and Vahid helped us and let us check in early. Room was beautiful, clean, big, we got the towels changed every day without having to ask, the roof top restaurant was really nice too. Close to SFMOMA and other places at walking distance.     I do not recommend staying here. The rooms are tiny tiny. The restaurant service was terrible. They mixed up my reservation and canceled my room cards. Parking with them is $75 usd a night. I’m fine paying high rates for luxury but this place isn’t it. Oh. Not to mention to can’t even call down o the front desk from your room. The shower was going from hot to cold. Like burning hot. The room toilet has no privacy from the rest of the room. I could go on. But I’m sure you get the picture.

    The valet you would think was run by professionals. I did not have a problem with the 70 dollar rate even tho it was pricey. I am not from the area . So I used them and uber myself around . When I got home I got a noticed on the mail for a warning ticket. While the valet person had my car they were speeding the speed limit was 35 and the person got got doing 55 mph . I called to speak to a manager regarding the matter . The operator took my report said a manager would Call me the next day it’s been weeks . It’s unfortunate that they do not care . When the valet is park of their property. Loved the hotel and our room but unfortunately it’s not a place I can come back after this .

    Got double charged for the room so I had to get a refund of $458. Went downstairs to get receipt for proof of refund and realize the system had me in room 705 instead of 305. Charges for room 705 were on my receipt to the amount of $200. I had booked the Landmark View studio suite and believe I was supposed to be in room 705, but was moved in order to appease another guests request. Also, the tv is incompatible with streaming devices. Will not be going here again. Parc 55 is better.

    Beautiful property, nicely renovated. Very practical bedroom, separate toilet and shower areas, huge for SF standards. Great restaurant on the top, charming lounge and breakfast area at the bottom. 2 minutes from SFMOMA and close to everything in the downtown.

    Paid for a city view and had a view of a parking lot. I called to see if I could be moved to a city view and the operator said that technically, we are in the city so my room has a city view. The rooms are very small and the beds are almost like fold out mattresses. The lady at the front desk was a little out of it, you could tell she was under the influence as she later was recruiting young men to "work" for her right outside the hotel door. Will never stay here again. Location is not that great either unless you are in town for a SF Giants game.

    Located in close proximity to SFMOMA, the main reason for my stay. Short Lyft rides to Chinatown, Lower Haight, Fisherman’s Wharf. Staff and service were good; however; I probably will not return to this hotel in the future. The condition of the property and facilities was not up to snuff due to exceedingly creaky doors, lights that did not function properly, broken window slats, and inconsistent shower temperatures.

    Positive: Walking distance to Oracle Park for a concert. Negatives: We arrived at 2:45 and they made us wait 15 mins to check in at 3. That has never happened. I asked to have valet retrieve glasses and charger I had left in my car. Almost an hour later they produced glasses with no charger. Desk attendant said they'll bring the charger in just another 5 mins. It took another 20 mins for them to bring the charger. There was dust on lower rim on the nightstand and crumbs behind door when we arrived. The light on the smart mirror kept turning itself on and would make an irritating noise. (Room 201) At check out, I texted as instructed to get car and checked out. My car was there but no key and no valet. We waited 5-10 mins and then checked inside, there was no one at desk. When she finally came back to the desk I asked if she had my key, she did. We've stayed in a dozen hotels in SF over the years. This one was not worth the price paid. Next time we'll go to the Hyatt or Clancy or literally anywhere else.

    The room was nice. Parking was horrible. The valet told us they were full and made us park in a public lot a few blocks away. It took forever to get to the garage because of traffic. We had to carry our luggage all the way from the garage and when we finally got back to the hotel, the valet was accepting new people for parking. The check in line went out the door and many guest rooms weren’t available for check in (even though the check in time was hours prior to then). Room was small, but nice and acceptable for our 1-night stay.

    The hotel layout is modern, clean, and easy to navigate — you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The rooftop restaurant was definitely a highlight with its great views and atmosphere. On top of that, there are plenty of convenient stores and restaurants nearby, which made grabbing anything I needed super easy. The valet parking at $75 is a bit on the pricey side… but hey, that’s just San Francisco for you, right? All you need to know: overall, this is a great spot, and I’d definitely come back.

    I specifically chose this hotel for the valet parking but when we arrived they had no available spaces so we were forced to park in a parking garage two blocks over. I had checked in online prior to arriving and received a digital key, I did this because I knew we were going to be in a hurry for our dinner reservations. When we got to our room we embarrassingly walked in on a woman undressed which led to a very uncomfortable situation. We were only there for 1 night but it was a very hectic night for us. Staff tried their best but were overwhelmed with the amount of check-ins

    Just overall the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, had my reservation for 8 months get there 2 hours past check in (5pm) no room available no parking available. I’m sorry, what did I prepay for?? All I got comped was 3 free drink tickets, and I don’t even drink.

    The check in process was absolutely terrible. I checked in around 5 and there were no rooms available, was told to come back in 15 minutes. Had to go find parking a couple blocks away. Came back after about 30 minutes and the check in line was incredibly long, found someone to talk to and they still had no rooms available. They finally found one after another 15 minutes. I understand it was busy, but I prepaid for this room months ago and to show up and not have a room ready was inconvenient. Other than that the stay was nice. The room was comfortable.

    The staff was amazing and helpful, the room was clean, bed was comfy, but the overall experience was…meh. We came for a concert at Oracle, as did many others who were checking in. Because of the larger amount of people checking in, there wasn’t really anywhere to stand to wait for check in other than outside on the city sidewalk. The staff did their best to move through the line quickly, and we didn’t have to wait too long. Figuring out parking was a little rough, we ended up parking a couple blocks down in a garage for $44 overnight, which was less expensive than the $75 valet the hotel offered (and could provide to all guests due to limited space). Also, the room was smaller than expected, but I guess that didn’t matter too much since all we did was shower and sleep there. Like I said, the experience was “meh,” nothing extraordinary, nothing terrible. I might stay again, but I might try somewhere else.

    The valet is an absolute joke. $80 a day, the guys drive your car like they stole it. Squealing tires, slamming it in to reverse before it’s stopped moving forward. We also lost power due to construction, that was planned, we didn’t know anything about it but couldn’t get a discount or anything. Hotel was clean, bed was meh, shower was nice. The valet is what made this stay not worth coming back.

    Modern and clean hotel. Check-in was swift. The king bedroom set-up was a little different with the toilet and shower in separate spaces with the sink between them in the entry hallway, but this appears to be an older building that the hotel remodeled, so they undoubtedly made the best use of space they could with existing plumbing easements. Shout-out to Marc, the bartender at the rooftop bar, super-nice guy shaking-up great drinks like a mezcal Negroni and the deviled eggs were a good bar-bite. Overall, a great hotel for the price in SF. Would stay here again, especially with that killer rooftop bar view.

    Room got very hot at night as the AC seemed to not work in the middle of the night. There was only 1 valet guy working who seemed to be running super far for every car.They also as leave you car in a parking lot down the road. Overall it was okay but would try somewhere else next time for the price

    We stayed at this hotel for a Giants game. It was a bit too far to walk, particularly given poor weather conditions and traffic in an uber was terrible and it took nearly half an hour to get to the park. In addition, we wanted to watch the warriors playoff game ahead of time and the hotel had no working TVs in either the rooftop or ground floor bars, so we had to watch in our room. Small inconvenience, but no reason to have that be the case other than poor property management.

    The Canopy by Hilton has great staff and is clean. Shelby's was great for breakfast and the coffee shop downstairs had a solid americano. The rooms were clean and the shower was great. We did not enjoy the bed, especially the pillows. Additionally, the area is very noisy. While we wouldn't choose this hotel again, heavier sleepers may have no issues with the property.
