Great hotel! Well-priced, well located for my needs, quiet street, and more. I consider it a real find!

The hotel was very quiet, I slept well. I think they should put more towels in the room

Staff were very nice, room was clean, and located conveniently close to lots of dining opportunities.
- 5/5
Centrally located, great staff, spacious rooms.

The staff was amazing - remembered my name! Everything went well. Would definitely stay again. A few more snacks would be great. Maybe a small freezer with ice cream and crustables sandwiches for those who come in from a long flight.

i explained that my ride partner lost the key to the car and i was goning to be late checking out past 3pm. i was told that i would be charged for an additional day. If the room was not needed i should have been granted the additional time to get back and check out . In my opinion

I am not sure how this hotel has good reviews. First of all, valet is 42 dollars. The ceiling looks like its about to fall, the rooms are small and smell. There were mosquitoes in the restroom, only 1 towel for 3 people. There were black long hairs on the bed. I will never go back.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The lobby is being remodeled but didn't interfere with anything. Great staff. We would definitely stay at Bristol Hotel again.

When we checked in and bought the valet service the front desk person did not inform us that we needed to make contact with the valet and we proceeded to go out for dinner. Upon arriving back the parking lot was full. I was confused as I had signed up for it. Shouldn't there be a system down to be better about this? Oh and the bath towels are on yhe small thin side.

Overall it was very nice, however a bit disappointing with the parking situation. The valet had no room, and the alternate parking self-serve parking garage had the first 4 or 5 levels all with reserved spots, so once you found a spot on the 5 or 6 level you had to walk down and up the stairs as their elevator was not working.
- 4/5
The hotel was very nice! Clean room, very friendly and helpful staff. Amenities included a mini fridge and coffee maker. AC was great and no problems with hot running water in the shower. Only thing was that we had to pay parking 42$ overnight.

This was my third time staying at the Bristol hotel. We overall often enjoy our stays. We had paid extra for early check-in at noon. We got there a little early at about 1045 and asked if there was by any chance a room available. The woman at the front desk immediately told us no that there was nothing available until 3 PM. I was a little shocked that the prior night was totally booked, so I made sure to say that to her. The manager, Chris must’ve heard that and then magically two minutes later. Chris was able to find clean rooms. It was very clear that the gal checking me in just didn’t even look and didn’t care to put the time in. I did appreciate Chris rectifying that matter. Other than that our stay was good and the rooms are comfortable and we had a great time. When we left, the elevators were not working so the man at valet came up and helped us with our bags. The front desk did comp our valet to make up for the elevator is not working, which we really did appreciate. I love the small hometown feel of this hotel in a big city. I would absolutely stay again!

Check-in: I was interrupted when politely spelling my last name on arriving. Also, I don't mind a personal touch at the front desk, but don't want to hear complaints about phone company issues the hotel was having over a rough weekend. Lobby: In the past, there was a comfortable bar and a very nice baby grand piano in the lobby area. Now, the bar has been closed, and the piano has been put in moth balls. Amenities: No water; walk to the local market. At check-in, I was informed the hotel gym had a filtered water dispenser and the front desk clerk could probably get me in there if we could find a bottle to fill. There are no convenience/snack areas in the entire hotel. The room offered a generic coffee pot, but again no drinking water for making coffee. Check-out: Two front desk clerks sitting and chatting. One of them made eye-contact with me as I approached but then turned back to the other clerk to keep talking, letting me know that I was not her priority. When I asked for the ATM, they said, "we don't have one" and directed me to the local bank. So, unfortunately, I left without tipping housekeeping.

They don’t refresh the rooms unless you stay there for more than 3 days . Shower pressure sucked. Have to hope you can get valet before they sell out and you gotta find parking elsewhere. Pretty pricey for that level of service

Cant thanks the staff enough, they made our ten year anniversary feel spectacular!

The location was good, but thats it. The pictures online do not represent anywhere close to the current condition of the property. Right on entrance lot of cracked ceiling repair work, all covered up and dusty. Rooms were dated, bathrooms were moldy..staff did not clean the room even after requesting a day ahead and had to follow up many times. Overall would never consider again.

Traveled with 2 kids, the rooms are a little small otherwise, it was ok. Location was awesome, everything is walking distance. Valet staff was great, they were very helpful.

My first time staying at the Bristol. I booked a standard room, which was comfortable. The front desk attendant, Jesus, was not friendly or provided any details about the property at check-in, but it was quick and efficient and I decided to just read about the property instead of expecting him to do a better job. The valet team was very nice and professional. I’d consider staying again, if I can get a better rate than other properties I like staying at, but this may be a one and done for me.
- 5/5
My room, decorated in a fresh "California" theme, was bright and comfortable with all of the standard (and appreciated) amenities. Jonathan was polite and helpful, coming up with a complimentary comb when I realized I had forgotten my brush. The morning clerk politely and promptly ordered me a taxi. I felt comfortable as a single female traveler and would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Clean room, staff was very helpful. Didnt park here but looked like it was very easy to maneuver. Very central area to amenities, train depot, trolley serv8ce to all over San Diego, and close to Gaslamp. I like to try new places, and this one, for me, is a keeper..

The only nice thing about this hotel is the room. There is no bar, bottled water, cleaning of room until departure, uninformed front desk attendees, absolutely zero amenities. Expedia’s current 8.6 ranking of this hotel is beyond super generous. Never again.

The best hotel I've ever stayed! I got a good deal for this hotel and I was a bit suspicious in the beginning but it turned out to be the best staying in San Diego! Great location just a short walk to the train station (10min) and water front park, short walk to Little Italy (16min) and all bares, clubs and restaurants in Gaslamp Quarter (12min)! The most friendly staff! Super clean, cute and comfortable room, great Bathroom. The cutest decor in the room and bathroom!
- 4/5
This is a perfectly fine option if you need to be near downtown. Nothing fancy, but the beds are comfy and the rooms are clean. I did need a white noise app on my iPad to drown out street noise but it did the trick. The gym is actually one of the better hotel gyms I’ve encountered!
- 3/5
The room needed a thorough cleaning. there was dust and hair under the beds as well as a hair scrunchy and article of clothing that did not belong to us.
- 1/5
There was a dead cockroach in the room and staff didn’t really do anything about it.

The cleanliness of the hotel/rooms was in general very mid. There is that weird smell you’ll come across in the elevator & in the hallways. Housekeeping UPON request. But you have to constantly remind them, or they WILL forget. Overall, the location is perfectly placed at walking distance of Downtown & Little Italy.

The hotel was great. Wish they offered breakfast, but they do have a nice “make your own” specialty coffee machine in the lobby. The room was very clean and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect too, near enough to the Gaslamp quarter without the noise :)

Definitely a sub-par experience. The lobby was under construction, the amenities were bare bones, the shower was terrible, the sink water didn't get hot, and the wifi wouldn't work. Staff was friendly but limited.

The Bristol fit my needs as a work traveler and use of city's convention center. It was a healthy walk to convention halls but weather was beautiful for it. I used city bus from airport and easy with stop close to hotel. Light rails also close by. Hotel a few blocks off main Gaslamp hustle bustle. Property was unique and not like corporate cookie cutter. It had a boutique hotel feel. Hotel was undergoing some renovations in lobby area but it did not affect my rest in my room. Would recommend

Good service and staff. The only reason I give 4 stars is to get to the parking garage you have to go around the corner. When you get to the garage and walk outside to get to the actual hotel you go through a door which outside of it and around is full of pee there is some nightlife around which may be the reason for so much pee. Would be nice if we can access the hotel from another spot

Very friendly and courteous staff. Only complaint is it wasn’t advertised as going through a remodeling so at times it was quite loud with combination of regular street noise, next door rooms, plus the construction going on (during daytime). Location however is excellent for quickly walking or catching a train across the city.

If I had to be picky about anything, it would be the valet parking. When I arrived it was available, by the time I checked in it was somehow sold out when no one else came in after me. I second I found parking elsewhere it was available again. And multiple spots at that. It really made no sense.

The worst experience at a hotel I have ever had! The thermostats are a joke! Had to move rooms since our first room the thermostat wasn’t even working, then the new room, our first night the thermostat was stuck on 60 and we froze all night! Our last morning there we woke up to water pouring out of the toilet and coming up from the shower drain and it flooded our room! items of ours wet and my husband stepped in the gross water. The front desk guy Axel, did the best he could as well as the maintenance guy, who tried sucking up the water and apologized over and over . After an hour we were finally told they would move us to the room next door for the bathroom since we had no access to a restroom. After 30 more minutes we finally were able to use the restroom next door and at this time the toilet and shower drain began flooding the room again now going out to the hall and almost to the room next door. The manager, Robert, said we would be given a full refund and it’s been 2 days and after multiple emails from myself and hotels.com trying to reach out multiple times, no one has responded. Robert’s response was thermostats get stuck and things happen. Empathy for the entire situation and a response from this crappy hotel would be nice! Never again will we return here or recommend this place to anyone!

Staff was very helpful and nice.
- 4.5/5
The front desk person was awesome and so kind. I appreciated his kindness after the long day we had had. That they didn't offer a continental breakfast.
- 4/5
The sink was not draining well but since we were barely there it didn't cause a problem. Also, it would have been great to either have self-parking onsite or better info about the lot next door.
- 4.5/5
I only stayed one night so I didn’t get to see a lot of the property. But you had a good gym. The beds were so comfy.
- 5/5
Cute decor. Clean rooms. Walking distance from downtown. Friendly staff
- 1/5
No water in room. No microwave in room.
- 5/5
Newly remodeled rooms, clean and wonderful staff.
- 3/5
At this point its just a fancier Motel rather than a hotel.
- 5/5
The front desk person was the nicest staff member I’ve ever encountered at a Hotel. Rooms are clean and very well kept.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was pleasant
- 5/5
Very accommodating. Customer service was so nice and approachable. For sure we will go back again
- 5/5
Clean room, staff are nice.
- 2/5
The Bristol is centrally located in the downtown area and easy access to the convention center and pier. The lobby has a nice presentation. The staff were helpful and efficient for check-in. However, there were some glitches I could not overlook. First, there were a number of long hairs (not mine) on a decorative pilllow on the bed. I asked for the pillow to be taken out of the room and the pillow cases for the bed to be replaced since they were all "touching". I was told housekeeping would be arriving shortly. They didn't come.I slept without the pillows as I wasn't sure of their cleanliness. Secondly, the door to the bathroom was a pocket door, and I could not get it to close. Luckily, I was traveling by myself, so closing the door was not needed. But, for the next set of guests, it may be! I was also very surprised that there was no security to get to the guest floors. Anyone could easily have walked in the hotel at night, walked straight to an elevator, and traversed any of the floors, as key cards were not needed to access the floors. Therefore, I sadly cannot recommend the Bristol based on the cleanliness and security factors. I wish I could because the rooms were nicely appointed and very cute motif. And the location, as I mentioned, was excellent.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and the staff is amazing. Thank you Sandra for making our stay so comfortable.
- 5/5
Room was very spacious with a nice large tv and window. DAYtime valet crew was the best!! A small microwave in the room or common area would be nice but I still loved my stay at The Bristol ❤️❤️
- 4/5
My stay was for two nights prior to getting on a cruise ship. The hotel was clean. The room was clean & spacious. It is strictly for sleeping as there is no restaurant or bar in the hotel.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff was engaging, polite and helpful.
- 4/5
Location is great! The facility is slightly disappointing -- the water takes a really long time to be warm enough to shower. The mattress and pillow are slightly on the softer end. I also don't like how they do "guest of the day" -- I think they hype up my expectation too much. Without the "guest of the day" thing, I probably have a normal expectation and will be happier.
- 5/5
Clean room awesome staff and valet is super fast
- 4/5
The location is prime. You are within 15-20 minutes walking distance from Gaslamp District and Little Italy. It's around the corner from a bus stop and great coffee shops like Blue Bottle (for mainstream coffee lovers) or Golden Child (if you love local coffee shops). The rooms are big and clean. The bed and pillows are firm, which made it a good sleeping experience. The people working there are super nice and helpful. They were always attentive and very willing to give advice on anything or help with bags. Also, note: if you do get a room with a view of the wall, those rooms have a record player so bring records to play for ambiance. They have some there but I would recommend bringing some of your own music finds in the area to your room and listen there. AND they do have a registration process before you get there which is super convenient and cuts down the check in process time. The convenience stores and Ralph's were like 15 minutes walking distance so if you didn't want to leave the premises to get items you might've missed during packing or get drinks/snacks, the hotel didn't have a store or vending machines onsite. The walls are paper thin in the hotel room where we could hear everyone talking or their TVs in the hotel rooms, when they walked through the hallways and when the elevator was going up and down. I wish our room had a microwave because we had leftovers we wanted to eat and stored them in the mini fridge. I also would've liked if there was an ATM onsite if they had valet so you could tip. It's an expectation that you will need to use valet so I got what was in the description for the stay but it would be nice to have had an alternative so you aren't paying $42 a day for valet.
- 3/5
Room was clean and generally comfortable, however the bathroom was tiny and the sliding door to the bathroom made a lot of noise opening and closing. Also when you turned on the bathroom light, the bright lights over the mirror in the main room also turned on, which disturbed other people who were still sleeping. What we didn't care for is up front we were told there would be no daily housekeeping for "eco" reasons, which is just an excuse to not service rooms while keeping the same prices. There was also no housekeeping at all on December 31 or January 1. I have traveled to different states and countries over the holidays and have never heard of such a policy. As such, during our 5-night stay we only had housekeeping twice, the second of which was purely by luck once I heard there would be no services for 2 days. I am tired of hotels maintaining the COVID policy of no or little housekeeping several years after the pandemic. The hotel is also very short staffed and sometimes when we were in the lobby we never saw anyone at the front desk. Staff that were there were always very accommodating and helpful, so it must be the management or ownership that is cutting corners.
- 5/5
Very nice staff and clean rooms
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel that I have ever been too and it was the worst experience I have ever hard at a hotel in my life. The customer service was horrible, it was dirty, and I will never visit ever again. I reccomend taking this hotel off the website, as I would not stay there even if someone paid me too!!!!!!
- 5/5
Gracious staff, good locztion
- 4/5
Buena zona, muy cerca de estaciones de bus y trolley. Falta limpieza adecuada
- 4/5
Hotel was under a bit of construction while we were there
- 5/5
Very clean and good location
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Great stay! Everything was very clean and the staff were very courteous. Will definitely be staying here again!
- 5/5
We stayed here for Christmas and the staff was amazing, especially Robert and all the valets. Our room was quiet, clean, and the hotel was in a great location.
- 5/5
Parking was safe! The front desk staff, John was amazing, serviceable, so helpful and accommodating. Thank you!!
- 5/5
Everything is perfect! Great check in experience. Friendly, personable staff. Front desk clerk was a gem.
- 4/5
The staff is the best! Very thoughtful. Felt safe. Clean room and bathroom. Convenient location. Again, the staff is the best!
- 5/5
Clean room / attentive staff — considering it was Holiday stay ~
- 4/5
Perfect but I pay for parking
- 1/5
No housekeepingt
- 5/5
Great place to stay. I like the location & the easy commute and access to the gaslamp quarter. Room was super clean & spacious and comfortable. Staff was super nice & helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
Pictures made it seem nicer than what was actually on the property
- 5/5
Steve is great at getting you rejected quickly. They’re very committing with making sure that I had all the amenities or access to the ones that weren’t hard in the room. Just a really great group of ladies in general working there. My only and only little tiny complete is the Internet is a bit slow, but it was great.
- 2/5
No parking lot for hotel, the parking lot they provide charges me $52 dollars overnight (10 hours).
- 4/5
It’s nice, I only wish there was a microwave in the room
- 5/5
I loved my stay here
- 5/5
All of the staff were friendly and accommodating during my stay. They placed me in a room away from the elevator and since the cleaning people don’t come every morning unless you request service, it was quiet and I didn’t have any issues with noise.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 4/5
The room was very large and clean. Very nicely decorated. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The only issue was the parking.
- 5/5
Great time!
- 2/5
The staff was horrible.
- 1/5
Stains on sheet. No parking on site. Valet said it was not available then let cars park in not designated parking spots. Made me part down the block at a run down parking structure that didn’t let me get back to my car for two hours until someone else came by and opened the gate to let me to my car. Sheets were stained with what appeared to be human fluid. Tv remote didn’t work. Bathroom was rundown and decrepit. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Would ask for a refund if possible.
- 5/5
To the trolley outside our window. Would Prefer the fitness room to Be own 24/7 with key card. Appreciate the coffee/ tea etc in the lobby.
- 3/5
Amenities, room
- 1/5
wasn’t worth $500 a night
- 5/5
-
- 1/5
Bad service
- 5/5
Clean rooms friendly staff. Prompt responses when needed.
- 4/5
It was good, no complaints, just one issue, which was no strong water pressure to the shower
- 5/5
The room is good and big
- 3/5
pricey parking for customers
- 3/5
overall was a nicer motel 6 experience. paper thin walls. dirty carpets in the elevators for more than 2 days. only able to change bath towels for room cleaning services. coffee cup lids didn’t fit even with managements own acknowledgement of the issue. valet was $42 a night but the valet guys were quick and polite. oh yeah, and the water was turned off multiple times through the stay.
- 5/5
THANK YOU JONATHAN
- 1/5
Had to pay extra for parking and they didn’t tell us that ahead of time or make it clear
- 4/5
So clean, Very Nice staff, convenient location !
- 1/5
I Didn’t stay here , my reservation was adjusted with wrong date and I’m still pending a refund.
- 4/5
It was fine
- 5/5
The room was clean and nice. We love it.
- 3/5
The front desk and valet staff were very helpful! Especially the valet staff. It was very unfortunate that the front desk was under construction. What's unfortunate is the price. The price in comparison to the room quality and decor is not justifiable. Look somewhere else if you want something worthwhile for what you pay for.
- 4/5
Clean, friendly staff
- 4/5
Great stay, clean room. Staff was very friendly as well. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Bed so comfy and staff very friendly room very nice
- 2/5
Odd stench in hallways. Water draining noise in bathroom that wouldn’t stop. Then the place flooded and we got soaked in an elevator and had to rush back up nine flights of stairs to retrieve our luggage before the building was shut down.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and great seevice by the front desk.
- 5/5
Great location; right in the middle of everything. Lots of restaurants nearby, as well as the bay. All the staff were very nice and quite pleasant.
- 5/5
Nice upgrade from the staff, without even asking for one.
- 5/5
It was Greta. People were lovely. Hotel was very clean.
- 5/5
Room was clean, quiet. The mattress was actually very very comfortable, I slept like a baby in that bed haha. Great price, great friendly staff 👍 recommended!
- 5/5
Amazing from start to finish!
- 2/5
Room not clean and smelled
- 5/5
Check-in was a breeze location is outstanding lots of restaurants bars, and attractions close by
- 1/5
Very misleading picture on the website. Room was small and outdated. I would never stay here again for the price I paid
- 5/5
Clean room
- 1/5
The stay was okay, staff was good, the bed and pillows were comfy, but their parking was “sold out” so had to pay an extra $94 for parking across the street for a one night stay. Would have gone AirB&B if I had that info beforehand.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Nice staff, comfortable beds
- 5/5
Also the valet attendant was very kind as well.
- 5/5
the beds were very comfortable & Robert was very sweet.
- 4/5
nice place , did not see much. Staff was great
- 4/5
Everything was great for a fair price.
- 5/5
Robert at the front desk was extremely helpful and witty. Very good location for night before our cruise. Would definitely stay at Rhe Bristol Hotel again.
- 5/5
Clean room | Shops nearby
- 4/5
Nice and quiet
- 4/5
I will definitely stay again in this hotel if I need to be at the city center of San Diego.
- 4/5
Great downtown location. Very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Was clean and friendly
- 5/5
We arrived early and was pleasantly surprised that the front desk allowed us to check in early. Rooms had great AC as well.
- 5/5
The room was nice, clean and soft bed. Great location, very close to Gaslamp Quarter. I will definitely stay there again! Highly recommended!!!
- 5/5
The room is generally quite nice. The shower did not work as well with low water pressure and not great control of temperature in my unit.
- 3/5
We lived for 4 days at this hotel and room service was not provided although we also didn’t ask. There was no lock in the restroom.
- 4/5
Parking sucks. It’s $42 dollars to valet parking and they don’t have free self parking. You have to park in a lot around the corner which charges $30 for 24 hour parking . Other than that the hotel is decent . It’s an older hotel and it shows but the staff was friendly and service was good.
- 4/5
The valet fills up fast and the nearest garage is a extremely tight fit for anything larger than a midsized car. My park fees for a one night stay exceeded 100 dollars. It will definitely impact my choice to stay there again
- 3/5
Rooms should have proper glasses and cups for coffee and not paper
- 3/5
No pool The place doesn’t offer much
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room. The staff was great.
- 3/5
Bathroom drainage clogged.
- 3/5
Bed was comfy shower and sink need upgrades
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. I got treated like royalty when coming into the property. Shout out to valet!
- 5/5
Very nice staff from check in, clean rooms, quiet and comfortable.
- 5/5
got checked in earlier which was great 👍
- 4/5
One bathroom floor wasn’t very clean and all vending machines are broken
- 5/5
Robert and his staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. My partner is disabled, and Robert made sure he was completely comfortable throughout our stay. Any time we needed something, the staff was warm, attentive, and happy to help. We are so grateful for the kindness and thoughtfulness we experienced here.”
- 5/5
The design of the room does make sense.
- 5/5
Pleasant stay
- 3/5
no dressers in the room, water pressure in shower was weak, no bar or dining area only snacks in lobby. kinda had the old hotel smell muskey not a fresh smell
- 5/5
Overall great always my go to place staff is amazing and prices are great.
- 5/5
Was a short stay but very close and convenient to everything.
- 3/5
The hotel may look nice, but service was terrible. Towels and blankets took forever, the room phone didn’t work so we had to use our own phones, and nothing about the experience felt premier or worth the price.
- 5/5
Thank you
- 5/5
I had a quick solo weekend trip in San Diego & this hotel was a great choice. I had no issues & the staff was very welcoming.
- 1/5
Horrible, the staff doesn't get back to you at all.
- 5/5
Jose, Robert, and Axel were completely Amazing I had booked a room elsewhere and when I got there found out the condition of the hotel was nothing close to how it was described and the pictures were outdated from when it was renovated a long time ago. So needless to say I was experiencing, some some heavy anxiety. They truly brought me back down to earth. I couldn’t be more grateful to how they calmed me While making the next couple days I stayed enjoyable. Thank you, Donnie Kostecki
- 5/5
The staff was top-notch!.. friendly, helpful excellent customer service!... the valet Russell was wonderful!... I felt like a real VIP the entire time I stayed. The rooms are updated super comfortable. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Close to everything. I highly recommend this hotel.
- 2/5
AC didn’t work. Rooms were warm AND humid. WiFi didn’t work. I was dripping sweat after my shower it was so hot in the room
- 1/5
Dirty. Loud. Cheap with towels. Flooded toilet so cheap on maintenance. Cheap with hand soap. Smell attempted to be covered up by room freshener. Never will return. Avoid at all cost.
- 5/5
Very clean room! Staff is super friendly and helpful
- 4/5
I liked the hotel and the location but one thing that was a huge turn - off was that i found a pubic hair in the sink after we checked in and it definitely was not mine. It's gross when you have to clean out a pubic hair from the last guest and it makes you wonder what else hasn't been cleaned well.
- 2/5
I was very disappointed, the bathroom was NASTY!! The receptionist was very professional, this was the only experience.. The location is NOT family friendly for walking..
- 4/5
The hotel room was moden and clean, just the shower was totally outdated and needs renovation. The gym was very good and hotel staff is very friendly.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and friendly
- 5/5
Perfect
- 5/5
Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and attentive. Valet workers were kind and speedy!
- 1/5
No parking. And the parking lot that they suggested around the corner no attendant! Had to wait outside for someone to unlock the door to get into the parking structure to get my car out and the elevators don’t work!
- 5/5
Great location in downtown San Diego, close to restaurants, walkable area. Also close to the stadium. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was modern and very clean. We would definitely recommend staying here and we would stay here again
- 5/5
Perfect San Diego get away
- 3/5
Would've been nice to have a microwave
- 2/5
There valet is 42 dollars and the parking on the side is 30 dollars
- 3/5
Not very clean staff not attentive and not friendly will never stay here again
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
NOT SOUNDPROOF. THE CLEANERS WERE ALWAYS LOUD, banging on their equipment doors that affect their guests early in the morning. The street noise wasn'tthat bad but because if the. At nightI was there waiting for my passport to fly out. I could have rebooked while waiting, but I had to check out for my sanity.
- 4/5
Our room was comfortable. We only stayed one night. But the hotel was the perfect location for what we needed. We got there too late for the vallet parking, but there was a parking garage that was secure around the corner, which worked out perfect.
- 5/5
it was short lived but greato
- 4/5
Very helpful staff, but an older property that has not been fully renovated. Did not have hot water for one shower, that was resolved same day. Good value for the price in the area.
- 4/5
Stay was great
- 5/5
Very good, great location, helpful & pleasant staff ….
- 4/5
A couple of things to note: The lobby area is very sparsely decorated and over lit with bright white LEDs. There's little to no seating that's inviting or attractive; you want to spend as littler amount of time there as possible. The morning coffee "service" is a "push to select" machine; something you'd find at a truck stop or gas station. When checking in, make sure you do not get a room next to or near the elevators - we had room 600, next to the elevators and we could hear the cables "moaning" every time the lift was used. Kudos to the staff, they were very helpful and always welcoming with a smile and kind words..
- 5/5
Overall, it was a nice experience. The staff were friendly and professional.
- 5/5
No breakfast or pool, but there is a gym and a first floor sitting area. Area around has some spots to eat for breakfast as well as a nearby MTS station which was very convenient, but a lot of homeless and can get sketchy at night. For the price, this hotel is worth staying at for a few days.
- 4/5
Nice, clean place to stay
- 5/5
Didn’t like the noisy neighbors can hear them stomp, move furniture around, can hear them coughing, I never received my free perk for my VIP access… but everything else was great and amazing
- 5/5
The room was nice and roomy and the staff were incredibly nice!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms and convenient location!
- 4/5
The room was fine just showing some signs of wear. Paint repair needed inside bathroom door, curtains had holes. Not enough to complain to management or ruin the stay but shows very little attention to details. The person who checked us in stated they ran out of wine for our “VIP perk” so she “upgraded” our room which was just changing us to a room that included a sleeper sofa. There were only the two of us so it really wasn’t a perk for us compared to a free bottle of wine. I asked the later shift desk clerk about the wine again and he was able to produce a bottle for us so I don’t know why the first employee didn’t want to give us one. Very poor customer service in my opinion but the next employee made up for it. Overall for the price, I am fine and would stay again in a pinch. I don’t think I would purposely choose it but it wasn’t enough to make me say “under no circumstances…..”. The property was clean and in a good spot geographically.
- 4/5
I liked the location.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and great staff. Very easy walk to the convention center. Public transportation was also right there also.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Bed was comfortable. No food options just a quick snack area.
- 3/5
There was no microwave in the room, and the valet was pricey.
- 1/5
The front desk staff was rude (Jose). Didn’t have a first aid kit, and nobody was available to talk to when needed. We asked the front for sheets and never received anything. Phone was never picked up, hotel was never busy to not answer
- 2/5
Booked a room with a sofa bed but didn’t receive that room upon arrival
- 3/5
We stayed 5 days and housekeeping never came to our room once.
- 5/5
- 5/5
I drove a large truck, unfortunately it would not fit in thw parking garage.. my bad ,staff gave me great information about local parking.. hats off all
- 5/5
Good experiences
- 5/5
Very friendly staff all around.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Nothing special
- 4/5
The rooms are definitely not sound proof and the floors are oddly lacking in area rugs (I am a little confused as to why there was a long area rug under the chair and table of the room i stayed in instead of the beds, which personally i think would make the rooms feel more inviting and the interior design choices more intentional), but the gym is excellent and all the staff were absolutely lovely! So thank you very much for that!
- 4/5
Love the Bristol. This is my second time staying here while coming to San Diego. I love the location, it’s close to Petco but also it’s quiet.
- 5/5
Staff was really friendly and helpful
- 4/5
Conveniently located.
- 5/5
Quick easy check in. Nice room
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel were exceptional. From the front desk to the housekeeping, everyone was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to our friends!
- 5/5
All good but wifi to slow and fail they need a stronger signal please
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay, very comfortable beds close to restaurants and Starbucks! The only thing the parking is over priced $42 a nite otherwise they have self parking for $30 which even that is overpriced
- 5/5
Valets were excellent. Front desk was helpful but needed more information on night time activities around the hotel. Overall stay was excellent.
- 1/5
Parking is very inconvenient for in & out. In addition, they charged 52 dollars per a night. Nobody explained about this unexpected fee. I was not able to see any parking policy explained in details. My overall score is 2 out of 5. Never come back again. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!
- 2/5
The room was too hot to sleep. No parking nearby.
- 1/5
When I arrived the key to our rooms didn’t work so they had to let guest back into their rooms all day. I requested a roll in shower when I booked the lady at front desk confirmed it had a roll in shower ADA accessible restroom which it wasn’t. When we asked why they blamed Expedia & told me they didn’t have any other rooms so I couldn’t shower the next day. Also no parking we had to pay for parking down the street. So all in all terrible experience
- 3/5
Staff was excellent. Parking structure & noise to adjoining rooms & outside was A lot more than expected
- 4/5
If you want park at the hotel get there early valet parking fills up quickly, but there is parking garage around the corner that is safe and cheaper the valet parking make sure to take receipt with you. Room was hot and had to call for maintenance and they showed up very quickly and responded and staff was very friendly a nice and handled everything quite quickly.
- 4/5
Good service
- 5/5
last minute booking found a great gem for a good price
- 5/5
It was equally amazing parking was slim but the staff and hotel overall was amazing
- 5/5
Great location. Staff very attentive and friendly.
- 3/5
Limited facilities, wifi is terrible. Hot water takes 10+ minutes for shower
- 3/5
The only critique I have is cleanliness, and obviously the rude girl. The bathroom had black mold. The rest of the employees were courteous and very respectful; especially Erick, the gentleman working valet. The hotel sits very close to the light rail which was a plus and about a 15 minute walk to the Gaslamp District. I probably would never stay there again.
- 4/5
Got upgraded to a bigger room, service was fantastic. The hotel itself was super clean and location was very good and close to the beach highly recommend.
- 5/5
- 4/5
Location is great for sightseeing and rooms were clean. No fans in the bathrooms though...weird.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel
- 3/5
Front desk attendant was unwelcoming. No water or drinks to buy in their sparse assortment of items to purchase. Heard car alarms throughout the night. Would not stay again.
- 4/5
It was okay
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Hotel wasnt so clean. Bad parking. Shower was a disaster
- 5/5
Parking is kind of a pain, especially if you dont drive a small to medium size car. You actuality have to park in a garage adjacent to the hotel. Other than they, nice little hotel in a pretty good spot, being downtown.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed that they had a coffee machine downstairs, shuttle service, and the trolley station right next door made it so easy to get around. However, the hotel does not have a bar or room service early in the morning due to being short staffed. Overall a very nice and clean hotel.
- 5/5
I like it
- 5/5
Nice room, excellent staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- 4/5
Close to many attractions
- 3/5
The room was nice when we arrived, it would have been nice if we would’ve known the room as not going to be clean unless it was requested. Great location! Thank you Axel!
