Everything was good

We had one of the rooms with view to the freeway, but it was not only the view you can literally feel the craziness of the trafic since the room doesn't have sounds block at all, it was impossible to sleep...the AC was turned off around 12 am and it was hot. The balance between price and comfort isn’t great

There wad a huge team staying at the hotel snd occupied all of the pool snd fame room. No room fir others outside if the group. They also were Very loud and left a mess.

Breakfast was great! Location was very central and easy to get to and from the airport. The AC unit was an older model and we were hot both nights. We asked the maintenance staff to take a look but they told us it is what is is.

We were only there for one night and planned to use the hot tub. We were disappointed when it was out of service but the lady at the front desk was very helpful and guided us to their sister property behind the hotel where we were able to use their hot tub. The hotel is within very close walking distance of Chilis restaurant, Wendy’s, another bar and grill and a gas station which was very convenient. Hotel was clean and safe.

My father is 70 years old and planned to sleep on the sofa bed. Throughout the first night he kept waking up saying he felt itchy and uncomfortable. At first I thought he was simply having trouble sleeping, but the next morning we actually saw a spider come out of the sofa bed area. Because of that, he refused to sleep there the second night. I checked the sofa myself to make sure it wasn’t just a one-time issue, and the following night I decided to sleep there instead. After only about an hour and a half of sleep, I also woke up feeling itchy and uncomfortable. I can’t say exactly whether it was the sofa or the sheets, but something definitely did not feel right for both of us to experience the same issue. The only positive thing about this hotel was the location, there were good restaurants nearby and a convenient gas station close by. However, the condition and cleanliness of the room completely ruined the stay. I definitely will not be staying here again.

I enjoyed our time in this hotel, breakfast is good, clean room and nice staff. The only negative comment I had was the pillows were flat you need at least three pillows for comfort. But the bed was good and loved our room.

Room was what we expected 😍it was me ,husband, son and daughter. Breakfast was great just that some people dont have common sense or respect others and take syrup bottles like they are home.Something the hotel has no control of. Parking was great but not included its 15$ a night. Washer and Dryer was great amenitie.

Another highlight was the price—it was very affordable and truly worth every penny. It’s not always easy to find a place that balances quality and cost so well, but this stay definitely delivered. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home throughout our visit. Overall, we had a great experience, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely be coming back again.

I like this car hotel the team is so friendly and helpful. I have a trouble for the first night because I request for that accessible room for disability, but they don’t have any after one day they move us for the accessible room and it was very good I’m really hirecommended.

I arrived to the hotel payed for parking and it took me 15 minutes going around in circles around the hotel till I found a parking. I got my room key entered my room just to find out that the carpet was soaking wet. It was wet by the A/C unit and by the entrance where they have the small fridge. I went downstairs to the reception and told staff the problem I had with the carpet being wet and all they said was that they couldn’t do anything about it but send someone to out towels all over the floor. They didn’t offer to change my room… Won’t ever be staying here again!

A/C and Heater did not work well. There were a ton of high school kids staying there. They were loud and obnoxious. Loud until 1:00 am. Breakfast area was a zoo. I love Marriott hotels, however I don’t think I’d stay again.

The room was clean. However we always had to go down to the front desk for towels and toilet paper. When we asked housekeeping in the hall they said they were out and the person who had their cart the day before didn’t stock anything. This hotel is directly off the highway so you hear all the traffic all night and thug garbage truck picking up the trash at 6:30 in the morning. The hotel can definitely use some updating as a lot of the carpets are stained. The hot tub water was green and in need of cleaning. We were told we could go use the hotel next-door’s hot tub. We stayed four nights and for three mornings the breakfast was exactly the same. Waterlogged turkey sausage and scrambled eggs. It worked for our stay but I wouldn’t stay again. I had extra holds on my credit card so when I asked for a print out at checkout, they weren’t able to explain to me the hold of showing them on my credit card app. They were just saying I guess they’ll fall off. So I guess we will see.

The main issue during my stay was cleanliness. When I went to take a shower on the first night, there was hair left in the bathtub. It was very late, so I cleaned it myself rather than calling staff. We also opened the sofa bed and found used tissues and chocolate wrappers inside, which was disappointing. There were also visible stains on the couch. In addition, the toilet was barely flushing and eventually clogged during the stay, which required staff to come and fix it. Overall, the staff were kind and helpful, but the room did not feel properly cleaned or maintained. With better attention to housekeeping and room preparation, this could be a much better experience.

Poolside was great. They have new chairs and loung chairs making it enougj for many families to come out relax and have a place to sit and place belongings.

My only complaint was that the bathroom sink drained very slowly. Continental breakfast was included and it was good. They had cereal, oatmeal, muffins, yogurt, bagels, English muffins, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties. I especially loved the green chile salsa! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was conveniently located about 20 minutes from both the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park, which made it easy for us to visit each park on different days.

The B'fast menu was fine. There were fresh fruits on one day but not the other day. There are not many vegetarian options for warm food. Also, the coffee was not all that warm or great/bold. The hot water (I wanted to use for making hot tea) from the pot had a coffee smell as well.

We thought it was resolved but on our last night they had to call maintenance and break open the dead bolt. This took over an hour and we had to move to another room. The room they moved us to wasn’t even fixed and we had to request for bed sheets, toilet paper and other necessary items. Here’s a photo of the bathroom in the room they moved to. It looked used and not cleaned up for the new guests.

We did have to switch rooms during our stay due to a leak in the roof during unseasonably heavy rains. As others have mentioned facilities are getting a little older. The breakfast was crowded but manageable and staff kept food coming. ample parking. Did not get to use their small gym room and outdoor pool/hot tub facilities.

The staff was nice. We had to be at the park at 7am for check in so I was a bit disappointed that breakfast was from 7 to 9am on weekends. We missed the most important meal of the day. Its 6:30am on week days. Anyhow, we missed a breakfast. The next morning the food was perfect for the situation. The pool was small and in the shade but okay for the team. The Jacuzzis was good. They provided towels for the kids. They have restaurants walking distance next to property so that was convenient. I wanted two queen beds but they were sold out. The couch bed seemed okay for the kids. We would stay there again.

The staff were all very friendly, helpful and addressed all our concerns quickly. The room had a lot of plumbing issues, clogged kitchen sink, clogged toilet, running toilet. When we woke the first day we had ants in the kitchen.

This was our first time staying here while visiting Legoland and Seaworld! We had a quick and easy check in process as well as the checkout. The rooms were clean and specious! They have many breakfast options as well. My kids enjoyed the pool! I will be returning for future stays!

We felt very safe & the staff were very nice. We found a bit of trash and small toy from previous guests but not enough to make us say anything. The room was fine. I would bring my own TP next time as the kind in the rooms was thin & rough. Breakfast was fine too. Nothing special

I booked two rooms. One room's door's handle did not close. From the outside or inside all someone had to do was pull on the handle and the door opened. The other room had ants in the bathroom. We didnt realize any of this until it was time to check out. We notified the front desk as we were checking out.

Best motel breakfast by far. So many options! Clean and super navigatible for us. Wish pool was heated since it's on opposite side of early sun. Would choose to stay again.

Elevators were not running smoothly, musty smell in the room possibly due to carpet

The next morning our bathroom overflowed and flooded the floor. The front desk showed no concern, offered no apology, and suggested we use the lobby bathroom. A staff member came with a plunger but no housekeeping followed for over 30 minutes, which caused us to leave over an hour late for our plans. When we returned, we discovered that housekeeping had not serviced the room at all. Other issues included a leaking iron, my husband having to go again to request blankets, and teens running through the halls late at night yelling about the police. Overall, the service and attitude from staff were unacceptable. This was one of the most unusual and frustrating hotel stays we’ve experienced.

Spacious, comfortable room. Decent breakfast. Quiet area with lots of convenient food options. Close to the freeway for easy driving. Would definitely stay again

Great hotel! Love the restaurants and gas station at a walking distance.

I was very upset with this property, had to ask for 2 days for soap. Then they would clean the room and leave no towels had to go get them myself. Everytime you ask for something they tried to put it back on the guest and not just me, they did the same thing to another guest in front of me. The hallways were always dirty looking. Food was great for breakfast. They need better customer service. The manager was supposed to call that did not happen either.

The only thing that was slightly off was the rugs in hallways seemed to carry smells of people's perfume, or whatever - like maybe the hallways just need better ventilation. But overall very good place, wonderful breakfast, and great staff.

I didn't like that the handicapped rooms were at the end of the third floor. Not convenient to a person with walking disabilities

Had trouble with door lock, didn’t open with card pass.

The staff were amazing, but too many issues in the room itself. The sink was clogged and the water was coming out black. The pull out bed under the couch was ripped and had several stains everywhere. The bed frame stuck out very far and my grandson ran into it leaving a huge bruise. Bedding appeared clean but underneath bedding was dirty. The staff was trying to find us a different room but there wasn’t anywhere they could move us to. The front desk was exceptional but her hands were tied since management wasn’t available that late.

staff was great, but for me, the property didn’t align with the service. The lobby had a modern look, so I automatically assumed it would be similar to all other Springhill Suites i’ve stayed at. 1 of the 2 elevators service had expired, they were both sketchy on the ride up and as soon as we stepped out of the elevator going up to our room, the appearance alone was outdated, more so when we got in to our room. the room was crowded, curtain and windows were dirty, toilet was very similar to a public restroom, water temperature in the shower was too hot, even at the coldest setting which was almost shutting it off and worst part was the AC unit did not cool the room to our liking, regardless of setting it to the lowest temperature (temp was in the 90s during the day and we were on the top floor). We didn’t feel the need to alert staff because we were only in our room to sleep, gone for most of the day. Needless to say, unfortunately we will not be staying at this location again, although this will not stop us from staying at Marriott hotels.

Parking was easy with a nice view If you have kids this is the spot for you! My kids loved that Wendy’s was in the same parking lot, the gas station and chilies made is so easy! We had no troubles and it was a great time I would stay here again!

Everything perfect

My experiance was not so great staying at the Spring Hill Suites. First off, we checked in late on a Friday night for our weekend stay. Almost 10pm to be exact, since we drove from out of state. We paid for parking since your forced to because the other lots, that belong to the other businesses, are tow away zones. We had to circle the parking lot 3 times until a parking spot became available. Meanwhile there was a group of people, in the back parking lot, hanging out, drinking and listening to loud music. Something you find at a typic Motel. The room was just ok. Nothing special that would reflect the cost, and the pillows are paper thin. I had to shove bath towels underneath and fold the pillow in half just get neck support. The next morning we headed out. We came back at 2pm so our kids could go swimming. They were in the middle of shocking the pool water so it was closed. So we headed back out. Came back at 8pm. Still the pool was closed, the maintenance team was working on it. We headed to a family members house who has a pool and enjoyed the evening. We came back at 2am. The parking lot completely full, the same group of people hanging out, drinking and playing loud music in the back. We parked at the check in and had to ask where to park since our kids were asleep in the car. We were told to park in the Chilli's restaurant parking. Not ideal. Then we couldn't sleep, the parking lot party was so loud we could hear it on the 4th floor and called the front desk at 3am.

So many restaurants and stores near by great location would stay there again

This hotel is nestled into the hills really nice super nice staff. The breakfast was really good too. I was actually quite surprised of the selection for breakfast usually it’s just cereals, fruits, juice, and coffee but here you can definitely get a good breakfast to start your day. The rooms are really clean and super tidy super quiet will definitely book here again.

Itinerary of all attractions and took advantage of them all . I love San Diego and will stay at this hotel again. Housekeeping just need to clean every day.

Problems with bathroom

This was an reasonably priced hotel inland from the coast that my fiancé and I were excited to stay at for our week in San Diego. The carpet down the hallway to our room was gross. Our room smelled like feet. I later determined it was the air conditioning unit that was pumping a weird smell in the room. We found that our shower drain was clogged, but the hotel did send someone to quickly fix it. Our bed comforter had blood on it. It's also annoying that the hotel charges for parking when they don't have to. My biggest compliment is that the breakfast was good. I try to be reasonable with my reviews, but this hotel was a complete letdown for a sexy trip to San Diego and we wish now that we had stayed somewhere else. :(

Everything was easy and nice during check in the receptionist was super nice day 1.However the night guy was super unhelpful and rude. asked for more pillows and towels and i got oh its gonna be over an hr for that mind you it was like 930pm. I never got my pillows or towels and i just didnt bother we were only there 2 days but was very dissapointed

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I loved the closeness to a few restaurants and stores and the room was clean and spacious for the family. Free breakfast was a plus. Only downside was paying the nightly parking fee but it was fine because everything else was great.

This is a great easy access property in Poway. I’ve been here multiple times and I like staying here. Room is always clean and spacious. The only thing that happened this time was the check process took long because I arrived later at check-in and there was no one at the desk, I waited about 30 minutes for someone to show up. I assume he was busy with something. But he was nice and courteous when he checked me in. Otherwise, everything was good

I liked and didmt like the fact that the hotel doesn't have faily housekeeping. Understandable for eco-friendliness, but sometimes the daily housekeeping is necessary, especially if you're traveling with kids.

We checked out as soon as we saw the room! Stains on the mattress and floor, hair in the bathroom. This hotel needs an update ASAP! The staff were friendly! If you’re a “hotel snob” like I tend to be and are expecting a typical Springhill Suites experience this is not it!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but plenty. They had spinach apart from the usual breads, eggs, bacon, fruit, cheese, salsa which was nice so you can get your veggies while being on the road. All day coffee, water and fruits in the lobby were nice. Rooms were clean but there were coffee or other stains on the carpet and furniture in the room. May be more of an issue of the previous guests than the hotel. Convenient location next to the freeway and there were several restaurants nearby.

Staff very accommodating

Property is old on kept, housekeeping did not clean my room. I know this because I accidentally spilled a little coffee on my sheets they didn't change the sheets they just made my bed. No clean towels they didn't vacuum the floor nothing. Always old carpeting very dirty if you walk Barefoot your feet will be black overcrowded and loud. People above me had kids that would run for hours and jump and wake up at one or two in the morning and run across the floor. I was there on a business trip and just made it very hard to sleep. Definitely would never go back there again put that on my do not ever return list
