Parking $68.00 per day. At the restaurant Soleil downstairs I paid 12 dollars for a 1.5 sodas and my wife was charged $6.00 2 times for a cup of coffee, but it was free for hotel guests on a to-go basis. Wi-Fi was 12.95 a day. Other than the nickel and diming the place was very nice. Just some of the standard items at other hotels you are charged for. The beds were very comfortable and the Altitude was a nice place to unwind after a long day. The view was very nice from the Altitude

Saturday Ishtar at 3am I opened my door to 1 guys and 1 girl in the hall yelling at eachother! I told them it’s 3am turn it down or I’m calling the desk.

Our room did not have a refrigerator the window did not have a screen so upon opening it at night guess what about 20 mosquitos were roaming around the room and all of my three kids woke up with bug bites , not great ! And to top it off I had to pay for $68 for valet each night … what they don’t tell you is you can park at any Ace Parking structure for way less than this ridiculousness. Will definitely not stay here again , & will take my chances at a different hotel

Check in was a breeze. Room was nice and clean for us when we arrived. There was a bit of construction down the hall from us which was annoying but wasn’t the worst. Very convenient location if you are going to a Padres game.

The staff was incredible, and when I mentioned it was my birthday, they set us up in a fantastic room, set up a banner and balloons and sent up cheesecake and champagne. The hotel was clean and a perfect location for Petco Park. Valet parking is outrageous, but on par with all the other locations nearby. No refrigerator or microwave in the room, but I wouldn't trade the view for it!

Loved the location, cleanliness and staff. We had 2 issues, first, the restroom had a sliding door and wouldn’t stay shut, we went do lobby and they sent maintenance, he fixed it, no problem. Later at night my husband got in the shower and the tub was clogged, went again to the lobby and were accommodated to a new room, problem was, that shower had the same problem, tub was clogged. I had to wake up early as I was attending a special event, it was just inconvenient to be switching rooms at 10:00pm. I am happy how staff handled the situation, they were accommodating and attentive, it’s just inconvenient. Hopefully they fix their issues with drainage.

Our whole floor smelt like cigarettes. Our room did too. They did ask if we wanted to be relocated to another room. Location was great.

Besides a problem with our bathroom sink having a really bad smell, we were able to remedy the situation on our end since it was late at night and enjoyed the rest of our stay. Staff was amazing, beds super comfortable and love the water pressure in the shower.

One of the best properties we've stayed in. Check in and check out was a breeze. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was courteous and helpful. This hotel in this particular location has a lot to offer, and it is literally across the street from Petco Park.

The hotel was super nice. The valet was easy to use even during a game going on. Close to everything. The bar on the 22nd floor is amazing. All the staff was super helpful and nice.

Great location walkable to restaurants, shops and attractions. We came for a concert at The Brady Shell and it was also within walking distance so this was the perfect place to stay.

The shower and/or toilet in our room kept making loud noises like the water was running or someone taking a shower. Very loud and annoying! It made sleeping very, very difficult.

Everything was wonderful from check in to check out! The room was very clean and they serviced it every day. Breakfast was really good. We tried another place for breakfast one day but stuck with the hotel breakfast the rest of the time because it was better,

The staff were great, especially the Valet staff, they were amazing. The only thing we didn’t like was that our room was not ready for check in. But they did take our luggage in, since we were there to catch a Padres game!

This property has an amazing bar at the roof top and is very modernized. Near the convention center and lots of choices for food.

This Marriott is in a great location! The gaslight district has lots of dining and drinking opportunities. The hotel in general is OK. However, the rooms are a bit dated.

The property was in a very busy and convenient location. But, the elevator wait to go up and down was more like a Vegas resort. Long lines and multiple stops could hold a traveler up and cause stress.

Room wasn’t the cleanest and it reeked of cigarette smoke and we wanted to enjoy our anniversary and didn’t truly enjoy ourselves here

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The shower water from the room next door's drain was coming into the shower drain in our room. And then our drain was draining very slowly as well.

Excellent location in downtown, we go by walking everywhere. The parking is so expensive, but In front of the hotel there’s a public parking that cost 20 dlls per day , instead of 70 dlls in the hotel

The room was very out dated and had an odd smell. We had noises coming from the sink 24/7 that staff said was not fixable during our stay. The shower didn’t drain well. Staff was very friendly and professional. I’ve stayed her before years ago, and the property was much nicer then. Seems as though they’re not interested in bringing the rooms up to date. Was a disappointment for the money.

The food was great! The service at breakfast was not stellar at all. Didn’t bring all our drinks. When the drinks came the water was water down apple juice. It was crazy.

The rooms are very old in need of significant upgrades and the king suite isn't worth staying in. The jr king suite is much better.

Perfect location in Gaslamp. Less than 10 minute walk to the convention center and literally next door to Petco Park. I visited for a conference at the convention center and it was a great walk with a Starbucks on the way. Rooms are a bit dated but they’re clean and spacious. I wish the cleaning staff would’ve replenished the bottled water when cleaning, but otherwise great. Room service was very fast - food was middle of the road. Overall a great stay!

It's all over Expedia and the Marriott website that they do. There is only one breakfast restaurant in the hotel itself and it had an extremely small and limited selection.

The property was undergoing renovations for which there was a letter of apology for in the room, but outside of the letter there was no attempt by the hotel to offer any gesture of good faith for the inconvenience, I’m not sayin anything major just like “here’s a free drink voucher for the lounge”, nothing big but something that acknowledges the reality. The rooms are dated and the water pressure in the shower can best be described as a trickle. The TV’s are small, old and ill placed, they are at about knee level built into the cabinet so if your laying down in bed you can only see about half the screen. When we were checking out I texted the number on my valet ticket to have the car brought down, my family and I came down and stood around the front entrance not saying anything until a valet asked if we had already been helped, I replied that I had already texted for the car about 15 minutes ago, he told me their system wasn’t working and he’ll send for the car now…. $70 for that service? With as many options as there are in the immediate Convention center/Petco Park downtown area I would do some thorough research before choosing this property.

Love staying here! Check in and check out was so easy. Walkable distance to pretty much everything. Highly recommend staying here!

The property is good, the room I had was not my favorite, far from it. First the tv is below eye line on a shelf, on a rainy day it's not easy to watch. There is no refrigerator, you have to request one, then they bring you one and leave it on your floor. The bedding and pillows are very comfortable. The blackout curtains are priceless. Now the shower is usually easy to figure out, not here. The water temps shift from scalding hot to cool regularly. The rooftop bar is cool, when I was there over Christmas it was not very busy, which was fine by me. Internet is not free, even if you are staying there, they charge you by the day, this is rediculous. Never have I stayed at a hotel that made a client pay for internet unless you are not a Bonvoy member. There is no swimming pool, hot tub, or fitness center nor is there a privlage with near by Marriott hotels. Seems silly. Honestly 2.5 would be my rating.

I stayed here many times and this was my first that it was not good …. My room was clean but the bathroom door is broken and won’t shut , also there was loud noise at 8am , like someone was doing construction the floor above us … also the tv was on the ground, it definitely should be higher up , like on the wall or on the dresser …..

I ordered 2 breakfast burritos no tomatoes with bacon. After waiting an hour we were only brought 1 burrito with tomatoes and no bacon. Absolutely disappointed!

Terrible sound of water coming from the drain pipes of the tub early in the morning. Water filled in tub almost immediately as drain was clogged. I was barely there for 16hours and it was a very uncomfortable stay because I was woken up by the tub sound and had no desire to shower. Did not expect this at a Marriott property.

1. Thermostat broken- ccould not adjust- tried to change up and down but it always went back to 71 degrees. 2. Bathroom sink gurgled every time you ran water for about 5 minutes, then it started doing it in the middle of the night. 3. TV was too small. It was 36 inches? Even Motel 6 and Super 8 hotels have 50 or 60 inch TV. You caouldn't read the guide words. 4. NO Minifridge? 5 No microwave? Not for heating up food but us old folks have heating pads that are microwaveable. 6. Room service you have to go down to the restaurant to pick it up?? Thats crazy! 7. Bathroom on the lobby level stunk TERRIBLE on Saturday night. Not what I expected for the price we paid.

From the valet staff to the front desk team, everyone was very informative and helpful, making my stay a great experience

Also shower head small and low pressure. $65.00 per night parking was very bad too.

Over priced WiFi Refrigerator didn’t work . No microwave . Out dated tv Elevator issues Door lock issues , couldn’t get in room.

Walls are paper thin. Sink was clogged and make loud bubble noises that echoed in the room every time the room next door would flush. Which was a lot since they were throwing up all night after yelling and slamming their door til 3am

Loved they were able to check us in early, clean, friendly. The parking was an issue for our truck and we had to find parking elsewhere. One elevaowas broke and the other didn’t work at times. The room was clean and we had a great view. The location was perfect.

From the time we valet our vehicle to the front desk manager to the room service and housekeeping all staff was wonderful, courteous professional friendly and all of the above. Our rooms were very clean and decorated, spacious. Our guest totally was please satisfied with every aspect of the hotel also going up to the lounge. The views were just totally extra extraordinary. The front desk manager told us that there was anything that we needed to be sure to contact her or anyone on her staff. I celebrated my 75th birthday at the hotel. And was sent a bottle of champagne and chocolate drip strawberries and I’d like to just say thank you for a wonderful Night at the hotel Marriott

However….. the room was dated. An old TV with no streaming options, no robes, no safe, no refrigerator, no wine glasses, 3 creamers for four cups worth of coffee and worst of all a terrible old shower head that barely gets you wet in a bathtub with a shower curtain. $350 a night and $65 a day for parking. You can do better.

Jesse helped us in the evening and Christian was knocking it out of the park in the day. Needless to say the both made me not want to leave lol, very great individuals and professionals.

Disappointed… not my expectation of a Marriott hotel. Staff are ok. But the hotel is just not what I expect of a Marriott.

Staff was friendly and attentive.Hotel is clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location, just feet from restaurants and the stadium. My only complaint was 2things. The sink in the restroom would make loud sounds like if it was clogged, second was the loud music from was probably the roof top lounge. They put us on the 21 floor. The lounge was on the 22. We did not know. We didn’t get any sleep till after 2.

The people were VERY nice, accommodating, and helpful. They were quick to help solve any concerns. All-in-all, it wasn't awful- just a bit pricey for what it was.

The property plumbing has issues. All night we heard "bom, bom, bom" sound and wasn't able to sleep the first night. The engineer came and said this is normal for this building. They changed our room and the new room had old thermostat, either cold or heat. We had to turn it off all the time. It was a disastrous trip. I'm requesting credit at least for the 1st night.

The property is outdated. Upon checking in the front desk clerk confirmed the room that I booked which was two queen double beds. She later asked if it’s okay to change my room to a king size bed which will cost more but will give me the same rate. Now that was the first lie. King size beds are much cheaper than two queen size beds. Upon checking into the so called upgrade I notice the air conditioning system struggling to work. The temperature was set at 66 but the temperature of the room kept going up. I called the front desk and explained the situation. The front desk agent stated that the maintenance team already left for today and will be back in the morning. I politely told the young lady that I cannot sleep in a hot hotel room. I was quickly upgraded to a junior suite and met by two employees that kindly assisted me to my new hotel room. The junior suite smelled like pets were using the floor as a bathroom. I had to spray so much Lysol it was ridiculous. You can even see the stains in the carpet which was gross. I didn’t feel like calling down again so I kept the room. I made it my business to leave everyday far away from the hotel and area. The hotel rooms are outdated. But I would give a kudos to valet Jacob. He was very helpful and willing to help with any questions you may have.

The facilities were clean, and conveniently located to plenty of restaurants. However, the parking at the hotel is way too expensive.

The staff was friendly, the location obviously amazing. However our room was extremely disappointing. I don’t know if it only our room (910) or the 9th floor or the hotel in general. The floor was slanted, and not subtly. We had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed, it was that slanted. The sliding door to the bathroom did not latch closed, it would slide open because of the slope of the room. The room also had a strong smell of mildew/mold. Because of the experience of the room, we will not be staying at this particular hotel again.

Great location for a Padres ballgame. Do not miss the rooftop bar. Fantastic views. Great drinks. Lovely atmosphere. Staff very helpful. Would definitely choose again.

The rooms need to be updated. The TV in the room was too small. There is no option to self park, the only option is to valet park and the cost for that is 65 dollars a night. Other than that this hotel is in the perfect spot. It is located in downtown so you are able to walk everywhere no need to drive.

Our room felt a little dated and had a faint smoke odor, but overall the stay was great. The service was excellent, the location couldn’t be better - right across from the baseball stadium and the hotel rooftop was also absolutely amazing. Bonus: Prince Street Pizza delivers late in the area.

However, it's important to note that the room lacked a safe and a refrigerator, which may be a drawback for some guests. Overall, while the stay was practical, it didn't offer any standout features.

The conceirge room on 21st floor was a pleasant surprise.. I was a little disappointed the propery did not have a hot tub.

I stayed at this facility a year ago and complain to Expedia. And also Marriott about the horrible conditions of the sewer, the problem till this day has not been fixed. Expedia promised some type of refund for the trouble but I never got it, I have been always a Expedia customer and never complain but I think your company failed on breaking promises

Great customer service during check in, only draw back to the whole stay was the ability to pay at the door when room service was ordered. Waited 30mins for team member to come back to the room with payment card. Mobile P.O.S units should be with team members delivering food to rooms

The Hotel is walking distance to Petco Stadium, the convention center, restaurants, and nightclubs. Good for nightlife activities plus a short drive to Little Italy and the marina. SeaWorld is a 20 min drive. Only downside is no pool. Overall, would stay again.

The mattress was a little old and could be replaced. It's also odd that the hotel room didn't come with a mini fridge, safe, or USB charging ports. Ensure you have a sufficient number of charging adapters for all your devices.

This was a great hotel in a great location. The staff was very friendly. The view from the rooftop lounge was amazing. Next trip to San Diego I will definitely stay here again. The only negative side for me was the parking and no free WiFi.

Our stay was convenient and service was quick and friendly. Elevators were slow but was acknowledged through posted signs. My biggest concern was that someone opened our door at 9 am. Thankfully we had the security lock in place but is still concerning. We did not have the privacy sign on the door but even if it was house keeping, they should have knocked prior to opening the door.

Bathroom sink made a weird noise at any time any of the rooms around us flush their toilet also it smelled like mildew inside and we were locked out of our room for an hour and a half because the electronic key wouldn't work

- no free Internet - outrageous valet parking costs (plus daily tips of $20+/- - electric outlet plugs in desk were extremely loose: device chargers and connectors had to be taped in place - no refrigerator - no extra towels or kleenex when I got into the room

Also, someone knocked at my door around 6am twice. that person came back around 7am, knocked again and finally passed out in the hallway. I hope that person is ok.

I’ve stayed here multiple times mainly for the location, walking distance to Petco Park and downtown. The staff, valet and rooftop bar staff are always friendly and professional. I enjoy the rooftop bar as it’s a great spot to relax with a view. That said, the hotel itself is outdated and starting to smell old. It’s definitely in need of a full renovation and parking is pricey.

My stay would have been better had they told us upfront that they have over committed for the room we were booked for, and asked if they could downgrade our room but make up for it. Instead they waited till we were already in our room to tell us they have no other rooms for us to be. I still was upset because we never wanted the breakfast. They gave a 60$ discount to the weekend but the view was the entire reason we picked this hotel and with us getting the view of their air conditioning system with loud noise and smelled like dirty water, just felt even more of a disappointment. We picked a view of the water because we knew we would be arriving within an hour of the fireworks and if the room was a good enough we’d be able to stay in. Also had to go back to the hotel because they never actually gave back the 60$ we had to tell them. My stay would have been much better if they had informed us upfront that they had overbooked the room we had reserved. They could have offered to downgrade our room and compensate us for the inconvenience. Instead, they waited until we were already in our room to inform us that they had no other available rooms. I was still upset because we had never intended to have breakfast. They did offer a 60-dollar discount for the weekend, but the view was the primary reason we chose this hotel. With the view of their air conditioning system, which was noisy and smelled like dirty water, it felt even more of a slap in the face.

Room smelled horrible and upon check in when we asked for what time of rooms were available they said oh this is the only one we have for you didn’t give us any options and not helpful at all room smelled musty and carpets were stained and smelly our clothes started reeking of the smell of the room

If you are going to a Padres game this is the ideal location. Your room can look out towards Petco Park and you can see the Coronado bridge . Walking the downtown area is very easy from this location and public transportation is easily reachable in a couple of minutes

Incredibly soft bed, quiet, good location…the only surprise was the $65 valet parking, with no self park alternative..

Our room included a view of Petco Statium which we loved. Spent 2 night at this wonderful location and found that the gaslamp district has plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Parking was $65 a night but I guess nothing is inexpensive anymore.
