I should have taken a picture of room 21. The bed had stains on the side. The restroom tub was disgusting. The place smelled. The only food part was the nice gentlemen at the lobby who checked us in. The place looks really nice on the website. It’s not that. Would not go back.

Room was clean, staff was friendly, ac worked just fine, bed was comfy.

Location is right off the freeway and it’s easy to get to the San Diego Zoo/Balboa Park. The room itself was pretty basic but clean. Took 8 minutes for the shower to get hot and the bed was very hard. It was nice that the room had a refrigerator and microwave. The lighted mirror in the bathroom was a plus for putting on my makeup. The neighborhood was more industrial/residential so restaurants were not really within walking distance. Free parking was nice and the gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and helpful.

I never actually checked in. When I drive up into the parking lot, it wasn’t somewhere I’d stay. Vagrants hanging around in the sidewalk at the entrance. Photo in Hotel.com is VERY misleading.

Here is this small, somewhat hidden motel, that is super clean and comfortable. We were going to a concert in Gallagher Square, and we were driving. It took 10 minutes to drive to the concert. What drew us to this motel was the free parking and the great price. You won't find THAT downtown. BTW, around the corner on Market St, is a very interesting store. I wish we had had more time to truly explore.

This is a great little hole in the wall fine. I didn't want to spend as much money to stay downtown right near the convention center so I decided to take a chance on this nice hotel. The gentleman at the desk was very kind and very welcoming when I showed up to start my trip. The hotel is in a nice little back area that is close to the highway yet it can be seen but once in the room not heard. The room overall was very clean and quite spacious for the one king bed that was in it. The Aesthetics were very update, and a nice little letter of welcoming me a joined the room when I got there. The amenities are perfect not always in the room but we're available on demand. The room overall was very quiet and well lit. There is a Latino that played some music about two blocks over that could be heard in the room but stopped every night at 9:00 p.m. which was never a problem. The hotel was about 2.3 miles from the convention center which was about a 8 to 9 dollar Uber or Lyft ride. Even at one time I did walk from downtown and did just fine. Please consider and supporting this local business these guys have done a really good job of keeping everything nice and clean and safe.

Property was overall in not so good condition. My bathroom door was missing a handle. Only one towel was provided. Walls were so thin you can hear your neighbors conversations. Paint was chipped all over the room and bathroom. AC was not working.

The stat was great but the WiFi was terrible. Wanted to get work done but the connection was spotty at best and cut out frequently. If you’re on business and need internet access, hopefully your phone can do everything you need otherwise you might be in danger. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star review

Check in was smooth and good and the renovations turned out pretty good. I like the employees/owners of this establishment I have been going here for years even when they used to have rooms to rent by the hour. So I love this place

I liked the location, the size of the room , bathroom and closet. The fact that it has a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room . Check-in was easy, the staff was nice, and the water pressure was great. However, it needs major renovation and a good deep cleaning. I would not want to stay here more than one night, but the location was good for my purposes, and the price was cheap.

Just outside the downtown area, nice quiet area. It was right off the freeway making it very easy to come and go. The rooms were clean and maintained, and staff was very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.!

It is close to the zoo, seaworld and many restaurants. Manager Manny was responsive and very helpful. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here for my future visits to San Diego.

Good value. Friendly staff. Tight parking, though. Those with large (or long) cars might consider looking elsewhere. There is some street parking available in front as well, too. Wi-fi worked from our room, but was rather slow.

The bathroom door knob was broken and the top where a window was had bars of used soap so that part was not cleaned and the bathroom sink had ants crawling everywhere. The bed frame was hard and uncomfortable. We were told they were renovating but cleaningness and pest control matters to me.

I would come back and stay in this hotel again. I love it. The staff were so helpful and nice to me when I checked in. The room is clean. It's not in the nicest area in SD but again, I would love to come back and stay here again. I even extended another night and they were okay with. Parking is free and only a low deposit.

Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel isn't the most sightly but we weren't expecting it to be. Rooms were nice and very clean. We were visiting our son who was in SD for business. He lives in Europe. Would stay there again sometime if we were going for a short stay and needed to be in that part of SD. Nice place.

There is a road right next to the hotel which can be noisy at times but once I was asleep it didn’t bother me much. The staff were nice and check in was quick. The room is clean, however the restroom does need to be updated. This was a perfect place to stay for 1 night.

Stayed overnight to attend to an event on Petco park. The property it's only 2&1/2 miles away. Which worked perfectly.

I would not have normally stayed here it is really old but I have to say it was very clean and very quiet. I think the owners are trying to clean it up and make it a nice place to stay. I wish them luck and would probably stay there again. The staff couldn’t have been better.

Toilet not secured to the floor, multiple cracks in the sink, no coat hangers, street noise. On the plus side, the towels were softer than I would have expected. The man at the front desk was very friendly upon checkin.

I had two rooms booked. Upon arrival, only one was ready by check in. That room had consistent issues with the toilet. First the valve wasn't turned on and after having someone out twice to fix it it still wasn't filling with water. We just had to use the other rooms bathroom. The beds were stiff, the rooms had terrible lighting and were in bad need of repair. The area around the hotel wasn't particularly nice and someone (probably a homeless person) banged on our door in the middle of the night.

This is a motel. The bathroom was nasty and outdated, the sitting area in the room was literally a couple of lawn chairs and a wooden table, the bed sheets and pillowcases had stains on them. If that’s not enough to sway you to stay elsewhere, you can hear every movement of the other guests because the walls are paper thin.

Close to the Zoo with free parking. Staff was great and allowed us to see the room before we paid. Not a 4 star hotel but not a total dive. Worked.

There was mold, and on top of the bathroom there was mold in the main living room, and the ceiling. This place needs to be redone, painted or shut down. It’s not sanitary for people to sleep in places where there is mold, and you could smell it in the air.

The hotel was conveniently located for what we were doing. There were stains all over the bedspread and no additional blankets in the room. The base of the toilet was dirty. A bug crawled out of our sink. However the bed was comfortable. There was lots of room for our belongings. The staff was nice.

If you are looking at reviews to see if you should stay here. RUN. Absolutely disgusting room. Ants everywhere. Walls dirty and falling apart. Bathroom door handle falling off. Window lock broken off. Nothing like the pictures online. Worst place I’ve ever stayed in.

Other reviews said the rooms had recently been remodeled so I decided to try it out. Our room wasn’t the cleanest, the bathroom door was broken my girlfriend saw roaches in the bathroom. And to make things worse the tv stopped working. I went in the morning to the office to check out and no one came out so I didn’t have a chance to speak to anyone. Would definitely not come back.
