    We had a problem with our door and then we had a problem with our sink being stopped up. Breakfast was confusing and hard to find but the hotel was clean and the parking was easy.

    We were given our room key and the key didn’t work so we were assigned to a different room that was no longer what i originally booked. The new room did not have a sofa bed. There was a half drunk water bottle left behind in the fridge. The bathroom ceiling had a few gnats flying around and the lever to adjust the shower head seemed to be broken or missing a peice. We had issues with a few of the power outlets around the room not working properly. The bed was not very comfortable, it felt sunken in. The staff was very nice but we will not be returning.

    It had a lot of parking. But we had to pay daily. The staff was very nice and accommodating . It needs an up grade, No cabinets to store clothes, it had a free standing cabinet that held the iron and ironing board, not much room to hang clothes, the iron was leaking. So many extra fees. It felt old for a hotel under the Marriott logo.

    On day 2 of our 3 day stay, came back at end if day to find door left open by cleaning staff, who had arrived when we left at 10:30am. Asked for a manager to call and never received a call. Went down stairs on several occasions to speak to a manager, who was never there or available. In addition, coffee not replaced each day and towels were not replaced on final day. Would recommend customers to look at other options in the area, especially a place that focuses on customer care.

    Our first night we went to the lounge and a nice gentleman was our bartender and he was amazing. Very accommodating and he made us laugh. Also nice people staying there that we met as well. That I thought complimentary meant a free breakfast as it said on the booking app. After picking out what was available then we thought we were going to take our stuff back up to our room and the lady says that will be $57.23... Both my man and I were jaw dropped. The homeless being told about parking after i had already paid and not expecting it. the hot tub didn't work or was even filled up when we ordered dinner 2 cheeseburger with the fries and a piece of grilled chicken about $10 cheaper then our breakfast. we tried to use the heater in our room and it smelt like gasses of some sort so we turned it off real quick.

    I have stayed there several times, without issue. However, this time I booked through a 3rd party(Expedia), the room seemed inferior to previous rooms......ex: shower curtains, down graded bathroom. Access key was deactivated a day before my checkout, I had to have a new key activated to access my room. I had to ask staff to service my room twice.

    We arrived very late to our room to find dirty used towels in the bathroom and stuff left in the shower which leads me to believe it was not cleaned. Very disappointing for a Marriot! When I told the front desk the next morning they apologized but they should have done something for us. Bad customer service and makes me question, will I stay at Marriot again?

    Breakfast was delicious! The staff were very friendly but when I booked through Hotel.com I booked a king room with a sofa bed and that’s not what I got. There was no sofa bed and the hotel rep said there were none available as that was a 3rd party booking and what they advertise is not what you get. That was disappointing. Room was ok as view was awful.

    1、We booked a king room with sofa bed for three persons, but they provided us a double quees one (after checked-in, at my reques, changed to a king room, but the sofa bed was not ready and we needed to aks the house keeping for bedding), and the shower towel were only for two persons. 2、I noticed there is a paper coaster with text of bottled water price, I supposed this an advertisment, since there is no bottled water on it, but after I left, they charged me $6.47 for the bottled water.

The bar closed at 10pm sharp and was rudely kicked out of the area for cleaning. Bar staff was rude and didn't allow time for relaxation. The spa was down for repairs and was super bummed about it due to a sore back. Easy to access in and out and overall cleanliness was good.

    Great location. Good meeting facilities. Rooms were good size. I needed to contact the property several times and could never reach anyone. I tried to call and I tried to email. I had an important question before I made the reservation. Because I could not get through to the property several times, I decided to use Booking.com. With Booking.com, I was able to get my question answered and follow through with the reservation. And, it made me appreciate Booking.com. After we left, I realized I had left all my power cords, including a power cord for my Apple Watch. I tried to get through to the property directly. Not happening. We will be returning to the area in a few days and I will drive over to see if my power cords are in their Lost and Found. For now, I can hope I will be able to retrieve them. I have learned that having no direct contact with hotels is now the norm. Frustrating and disappointing. I appreciate Booking.com but I know that I don’t mean anything to Courtyard Marriott.

    The water pressure of the sink faucet and shower head is too weak. I had to keep the water on three times longer, so the hotel's effort to save on the water bill is meaningless and also causes customers inconvenience.

    The property overall was good and I really liked having breakfast and dinner along with drinks in property, very convenient! My main concern and issue with the property was the WiFi, it did not work in certain areas of the room including in bed so doing work from my laptop was almost impossible.

    I like the location the fitness center and the staff very helpful and friendly I got disappointed because some issues the a/c was horrible with very bad smell like needs maintenance and we didn’t find Ice in our floor. But the a/c was the worse thing because I had my son with breathing issues during the night.

    Well after a major labor day horrible stay and pool and jacuzzi fiasco as well as room issues. We decided to give them another chance unfortunately only rooms were clean and comfy pool was freezing and jacuzzi was Filthy again jets hardly working had to have mataniance come fix tv again like last time.I'm going to stick with Kings Inn in old town nicer larger heated pool and huge clean working Hot jacuzzi a plus as it was 80° and were going to have a warm summer this year and we make several san diego visits as sea world pass holders and Old town visitors to enjoy relaxing there. Very Disappointed overall with Courtyard but i believe everyone deserves a 2nd chance and that was it used to love it there.

    There is no complimentary breakfast. They offer their bistro and it is pricey and lacked flavor. I paid on booking.com and charged upon arrival by the hotel. I was “credited” back a week after my stay. I checked in 15 business days later because I have not received a refund and was told it’s my banks issue. A month later no refund. They will cause you a $500 inconvenience and not care. Beware

    I loved everything about my stay, and the breakfast was delicious. loved the private TVs in the booths and so much space to get work done in the lobby area. I loved that the hotel emailed me 24 hours before arrival and told me everything available to me, including restaurants and activities. I also love the proximity to so many restaurants and Target. I loved being on the top floor facing the street, but I arrived at 11 pm, and when I walked into my room, the sofa bed was halfway pulled out, the window was cracked, and the trash cans weren't in the receptacles. The room was thoroughly cleaned, but walking into it in that state, alone, at night was pretty creepy.

    There were bugs in the bathroom, so we decided not to use the shower. The room was very noisy and we could not sleep at night. The parking fee of $30 was very expensive, they did not even tell us there is a fee for parking there and I noticed the fee just on my billing statement.

    Great cleaning service and overall experience! The room actually was very pleasant with a descent view! The fees for parking, really didn’t think paying per night to have parking was necessary. If parking can be free or at least included at a reasonable price, instead of being charged per night, would’ve been a lot better on my wallet and stress free.

    We had to wait 45 minutes after checking in for a room (which was after 3pm). Then we went up and tried several times to open our room but the key didn’t work. After a few minutes someone opened the door to the room the front desk had written on our card and said they already had the room. I had to go back downstairs to the desk. They showed the room was empty and so the employee went up to the room personally to find it occupied. So needless to say it was a hectic first hour. Everything else was great.

    My first time traveling from the east coast all by myself. The staff from Rick to Oscar to JJ and Yesenia made me feel like family. Additionally,the restaurant staff is amazing at setting the tone for your morning. This Courtyard far exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend nice team..I cannot forget to mention their 5 star plus treament.. Rick pops fresh popcorn super delicious and hot cocoa with marshmallows which fit owefect for a damo raining day. Nicely done!!!

    Stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott - San Diego Mission Valley for 9 days and would highly recommend to everyone! Front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming. We were greeted every time we entered the hotel and they were such a big help with an issue we encountered (not their fault) but they did everything to make it right. The hotel has an ample amount of parking and felt very safe with a gated entry/exit. I’ve seen some negative reviews on the price of parking but being from Hawai’i, that’s nothing new and almost every hotel in SD charges for parking. To add to the safety topic — you need your room key to go up or down in the elevator. I love that security measure. The rooms are very clean and up to date. Property has laundry facilities and the front desk can provide quarters ($5.00 to wash and dry). There’s a hotel bistro and bar (limited hours) that has decent food and isn’t overpriced, also a little snack shop with drinks, salads, wraps, sandwiches, some toiletries and a Starbucks machine that makes coffee, hot water and cocoa. Conveniently located off the freeway but the noise is NOT a problem, we didn’t hear anything. 10 minutes to most San Diego attractions. Also 5 minutes away from Target, lots of dining options, Mission Valley and Fashion Valley Mall. Definitely staying here again!

    Given that there isn’t enough room to type my whole issue. Website falsely advised what the rooms had. I booked a bedroom suite and had no hot water to shower for two days and the staff only offered me and family extra points. I have very young kids and I am not sure why they thought it was okay to shower in cold water. There was no sense of urgency to get the problem resolved. Since they were sold out all weekend they put us in a smaller room since they couldn’t get hot water. When we spoke to the agents inside the hotel it seem they were very unsure on what to do and kept giving us the run around. At the end of our stay they stated they compensated us for one day and waived parking for one day. Come to find out they didn’t, since I booked through a third party app they are telling me they received none of the information that I was provided. Sad to say but this was overall the worst experience, I travel over 5 hours to be in this city and I always stay at a Courtyard by Marriott and I never have issues with my stay or the staff. I felt this issue was handled very poorly. Not having hot or warm water and being told all other rooms have it, then being told because they have had several sports teams on site is causing for our room to not have proper running water. How does that happen? All 300 plus rooms have water but our one room doesn’t.. very ghetto!

Plus they charge you a deposit. Room was big. 24 hr gym. Pool too cold to swim in. Sofa and desk chair were stiff. The lighting is not great. The bedside lights are too bright. There’s no light that lights up the whole room. Just these pools of light here and there. Ask for a room that’s not on the freeway/noisier side!

    I did enjoy my stay overall, it was very affordable and pleasant. I was very tired after traveling from so far to check in but due to it being so busy my room wasn’t ready yet. I spoke with a man named Tristan who helped my out and made my check in process very smooth so big thanks to him. My only dislike was the expensive daily car overnight car parking fee, I believe $30 a night for self park is steep personally.

    The property was clean and the front desk staff was very friendly. I like the location as it is central to everything we wanted to do on our vacation. the view from the 9th floor was good. Our room could've used a little maintenance, for example the shower door handle was falling off, and the toilet paper holder was falling off the wall. Overall, it was about what I expected for the price.

    A special mention goes to the morning food staff, who were absolutely amazing—so kind, attentive, and efficient. The breakfast was delicious, with great options, and the food is reasonably priced compared to many other hotels. Overall, this hotel is a perfect mix of cleanliness, great service, and good value. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, and I would definitely stay here again!

    Room was a little dumpy. Visible stain on couch, ac unit was very loud, no bathroom fan, and the controls for the light were cracked and broken. The shower door leaked a lot of water. And the door was really hard to close. There were a couple of times I thought it closed, but it was still cracked open. Staff were decent and said hello when you passed. Overall it was just “meh” and there isn’t anything specific that would draw me back. There is also nothing within walking distance that’s convenient. 45 min to 1 hour long walks just for fast food makes it challenging for anyone on a budget that doesn’t want to drop $30 for a round trip uber.

    Hotel was in a great central location with tons of dining options nearby and close to many popular attractions. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. Price was very reasonable and parking price was better than most other hotels.

    Was waiting in line to chevk in and someone cut in front of us and was waiting for the receptionist to say something but continued to check them in and not say anything to us. Also there was multiple hairs in the tub from the previous guest which we did bring up when we checked out and were offered an apology and pts

    We enjoyed our stay. Our cleaning service person was phenomenal. Never had to worry about clean room the whole time we were there. The staff was really accommodating and friendly. The only thing I would recommend would be some better mattresses. They were not super comfortable. Although I realize some of that is a personal preference. All in all we would stay again.

    The bed was fairly comfortable and the water was nice and hot. The sink water stream was a little too low and one of my rooms had an odor but was resolved. A little extra bathroom maintenance care should be taken care of before guests arrive. All in all, it was a great stay!

    When we checked in the front desk, clerk was a little short and when I requested another key card for the room, he hesitated to give me one. The TV in the room did not work. I called for maintenance and it took them an hour to get to the room for the TV repair.

    We checked in earlier than 3:00 which I expected to wait. We ended up waiting almost a hour and half. We were repeatedly told our room was almost done. The room we were originally suppose to get wasn’t available and we were given a completely different room. The front desk staff was some what friendly but we had to keep going up to the front desk to ask the status of our room.

    The rooms were dirty. Paint peeling off shower wall. Vent in bathroom didn’t work. No hot water. Low water pressure. Poor communication from front desk associates. I asked for some information and they said they would get back to me and never did. Poor internet. Bed was nice and comfortable.

    This was a great hotel to stay at. It was kind of weird to get to but once we arrived parking and check in was easy. We didnt quite figure out how/where to order food. There wasnt a ton of info provided on that. They have a bar but it didnt look like they had a kitchen for preparing food. The room was very clean with the exception of something weird on the bathroom wall and a hair in the shower but everything was great otherwise!

    The front staff booked us into the wrong room: they gave us keys to a different room at 12 am in the morning. I was only notified when the room key didn't work, and the person inside said, "not your room." To which we had to get new keys for. When we finally got into our room at 1am, it had a bad smell due to the AC filter being old, and the bathroom light never turned off. We requested a new room, which they were nice enough to provide. Since we Ubered and did not use their parking, they refunded $60 worth of parking rebate that I never received in Expedia nor on my credit card. Terrible experience overall, would NOT recommend again.

    Everything was really good, staff was friendly and patient with me since my native language is not English. Room was big enough for 2 people and so was the bathroom and also really clean. My only “complaint” was that the sofa in the room smelled like Cheetos and there was some dirty spots but overall was a really good experience.

    We arrived late from a long flight from Chicago only to hear that their system was down and they couldn't check us in. After about 30 minutes of so they did check us in but couldn't take our credit cards because that system was now down. Finally got to my room and wanted to take a shower and the shower curtain was hung way too high. The bottom of the shower curtain to the tub as a 1 1/2 " gap so the bathroom flooded. I used up all the towels to sup it up and was too tired to change rooms.

    I had a wonderful stay at Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Mission Valley/Hotel Circle ! I visited San Diego for the first time for a week long pre-celebration of my birthday along with two friends. The hotel was conveniently located, very clean and the staff was so friendly ! They even helped my friends with a birthday surprise for me. I felt comfortable, our room was always being refreshed. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

    Our room wasn’t ready upon arrival (way after check in time) and when given our key it led us to a room that was propped open with a utility cart being worked on with what looked like damages, nobody was present to talk to in the room so we went back down to the lobby. They ‘sincerely’ apologized but the second apology just same scripted since they said the same thing when we arrived and had to wait a bit for a room to be ready for us. We get our key to the second room and it’s so dingy.. I couldn’t wait to get out of this place. No central ac, window unit and it was a warm evening… no air circulation in the bathroom. Not clean at all… handprints all over the door that connects to the other room.. we didn’t use the door but I immediately noticed the prints. You could hear the entire conversation next door to you..For this price point we moved the Legacy which was WAY cleaner, quieter and way more accommodating and attentive to detail. Would not recommend this particular Courtyard at all.

    Booked a king bed with a sofa bed for 2 adults and 2 kids and sofa bed was normal size fit both of them. We wanted to change rooms because we only had a shower and the next day the receptionist made it so easy for us. Loved the heated pool and the hot tub only thing is that there was dirt in the pool lingering. They also had a rack of pool towels outside for us and plenty of chairs.

    The staff at front desk told me honestly that my room wasnt ready snd promise me to wait. And gave me a better room than last time I had one at the same hotel. The only issue to put out is the shower drainage is very low! And creates a flood message on the bathroom floor. I have to request extra towels for the mess. But happily not getting charge for it. This is room 1023. Hopefully it will get fixed for the near future for my next visit again.
