Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its convenient location, clean rooms, and friendly staff. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the quality of breakfast, thin walls, and mold in the bathrooms.
- Convenient location
- Clean rooms
- Poor quality breakfast
- Thin walls

Parking sucks, some of my towels were stained and/or still dirty, the beds were hard, but the pillows and bed covers were comfortable. I checked in late at night and the lady at the counter super nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Overall was a good day I would go back there again
- 5/5
Clean room. Fast check in.
- 5/5
Beds were very uncomfortable. Bad towels we actually went and bought our own and checked out early.
- 3/5
The room was okay clean, bed was comfy but the whole place had a smell of mildew which I couldn't get rid of because the windows don't open properly. The pool was not cleaned. The breakfast was so bad my stomach hurt the whole day, do not recommend eating there. The whole stay was just okay, not great but not terrible.
- 2/5
Bathroom door didn’t close Room was loud
- 1/5
It was very dirty , not a accurate description of pictures, the hotel didn’t look anything like the pictures online
- 1/5
Very bad smelling as soon as we entered the room. Extremely old building and unit. Very bad experience.
- 5/5
Super helpful and friendly front desk staff. So refreshing these days! Room was clean and simple.
- 3/5
Convenient Location. It's close to many restaurants and coffee shops. Close distance from airport. The rooms do need some maintenance/upgrades. Our bathroom window was broken and the screen in onother window was broken as well so we could not leave windows open due to this.
- 4/5
harbor view n breakfast were good n friendly staff
- 4/5
Only issues i had was the lack of budgeting of noise (but there was a card about the noise and a pair of war plugs), and the hot water in the shower took a while to heat up, then it started scalding and was hard to adjust. Otherwise very nice older hotel/motel. Centralized for doing the tourist things. Good food choices everywhere.
- 3/5
Hotel worked for a one night stay for our family of four. Room with the bunk beds was not a room, more of a closet with two beds squeezed inside. The room with the king bed was tight as well. Hotel is definitely older. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the bare minimum but worked for what we needed that morning. Check in staff was very friendly. Hotel is on side of busy road but inside our room was quiet
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff were helpful. There isn’t much insulation from outside noise and the place is definitely showing its age.
- 5/5
A+
- 4/5
Pay to park.
- 3/5
I did not try the free breakfast. The room was relatively clean.
- 4/5
Noisy room not good
- 5/5
Coffee was good

Unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted our stay. When we arrived, there was a pool of water leaking from the refrigerator. We reported it the first night, again the following morning, and a third time that afternoon after returning to find it still unresolved. We stayed two nights total, and the refrigerator was never repaired or replaced. The bathroom window also would not stay open on its own, requiring us to prop it open when we wanted fresh air. The biggest issue was that housekeeping threw away our paper grocery bag containing snacks, souvenirs, and saved plastic bags, totaling about $50-$60 in personal items. We reported it immediately and followed up multiple times. We were repeatedly told housekeeping or management would look into it and contact us. No one ever did. On checkout morning, housekeeping stated they only removed trash. When I asked how our grocery bag disappeared, the conversation shifted to questioning why we had left the window open, despite there being no signs or instructions stating we could not. While the room layout and check-in experience were positives, the lack of accountability, communication, integrity, and customer resolution overshadowed our stay. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

- 3/5
Other than that, the housekeepers were wonderful! Parking was crammed. Bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Everyone was nice and very helpful. It was walking distance to restaurants and bars, the pool was clean and the breakfast was decent. We'd stay again.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
This should be called a motel not hotel. Had to pay $10 for parking and the lot is small and tight. A/C unit was leaking water. Mosquitos in our room.
- 1/5
They checked me in at 3:21 and only after she checked me in she lets me know that the room wasn’t going to be ready for another 45-60 minutes. The room I had only had two working outlets, one by the AC and the other in the bathroom. They had continental breakfast but they were letting random homeless people in and out of there. They don’t give you fresh towels every day. They don’t do house keeping every day. These rooms are very outdated. It felt like a nasty cheap motel. Never even got to see the pool, it looked nothing like the advertised hotel.
- 5/5
Location is perfectly situated right across the street from Fisherman's Landing.
- 3/5
2nd. The Motel charges $25 dollars plus Tax per day per Dog, which is ridiculous, also they have to provide Bowl for dogs, unfortunately they never give anything. 3rd. $10 dollars per day per Car, also unexeptable
- 1/5
Parking is terrible at this location. Our room was facing the street and you can hear the cars zooming by all night. We did not get a full night rest with the constant noise. Also the outside of the hotel lacked cleanliness.
- 4/5
Very limited breakfast; run out of options ealy
- 4/5
I would stay there again
- 5/5
Great staff! Close to airport.
- 4/5
Roms . The Location
- 4/5
It was a nice stay 😌
- 2/5
The hotel is very run down and in dire need of repairs. Our room was musty and smelled like wet dog - no ventilation at all! The girl at the front desk was nice enough but clueless… didn’t know the area and wasn’t able to answer questions. Breakfast room is so tiny with basic food options. We only ate there the first morning and went in search of a better breakfast the second morning. The alarm in our room was set for 1:30am and we couldn’t figure out how to turn it off and couldn’t unplug it because the plug was behind the bed. So our sleep was interrupted both nights. I would not recommend.
- 4/5
The staff was great. The breakfast was excellent and well stocked that lady really made a difference in keeping it that way.
- 3/5
Pet Friendly. Nice staff. Potty area for dogs. Clean room.
- 1/5
Do not stay at this hotel. My adult son stayed at this hotel and his car was damaged by workers during his stay at the hotel. They ruined his paint job. We took the car to a professional who said it could not be repaired without a new paint job. We took it to another professional who said he could fix it at some expense. We sent the estimate to the manager. He refused to fix it. He offered a hand wash only, and told us to submit a claim to our insurance after already acknowledging his workers did the damage. No integrity. Be warned.
- 4/5
Very clean, nice facility.
- 4/5
Overall everything was fine, however, in the morning the staff was a bit loud. I was on the first floor right next to the dining room. Recommend that they be mindful of the level of their voices
- 1/5
O hotel é horrível, parece um motel, as instalações são precárias, os funcionários são super mal educados e debochados, e o café da manhã é péssimo, sem opções, área super apertada e com pouquíssimos assentos
- 5/5
I was happy and will come back again in the near future.
- 5/5
Great room! Clean! Great price for the Harbor area and Fisherman's Warf is across thr street.
- 5/5
It was very clean and nice
- 5/5
The room was remodeled with comfort and taste.
- 3/5
Excellent location on the harbor. Just down the road from sites to see like the USS Midway, Star of India museums, and beaches. Pretty clean rooms and nice easy access parking lots on site next to your room. However, the property needs a little bit of updating. The over head patio on the second floor needs to be cleaned out because the tar on it is becoming sticky, every door into every room kind of sticks so every time your neighbors go in or out of their room, it makes a loud squeaking noise that kinda keeps you up at night. The breakfast area is very small only has a few seats, and you kinda have to look for the room. The breakfast options are very basic but they do have eggs and sausage and you could make waffles so it’s not just continental breakfast. Overall, I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Room was very clean , breakfast was a 6 outta 10.
- 1/5
The door of my room which was to the outside (motel style) didn’t lock. Room faced the street with noisy cars all night. It is not a great neighborhood. Feel very unsafe. Spent just one night and then found another hotel.
- 4/5
It was clean and comfortable. Family member is in the Navy and his base was in walking distance The location of our room was down a small alleyway
- 4/5
Rooms could use updating, but overall stay was decent. Soft beds.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Hotel was close to the airport. Also restaurants in walking distance.
- 3/5
- 2/5
The location is on a busy corner. The room was tiny, renovated but still old feeling, and had a terrible, sweet smell of disinfectant. The windows are stationary, except for the bathroom window, which screen needed cleaning. The complimentary breakfast is a plus, but the breakfast room is quite small, not adequate to the crowd on a Sunday. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were fine.
- 1/5
My daughter and I ended up shortening our stay because it just did not feel good, safe and the staff at the front desk did not seem to care about how our experience was. I am SHOCKED that EXPEDIA would recommend this "motel" hotel on their site., they should be ashamed of themselves! We will be back to San Diego, but will DEFINATELY not stay at Comfort Inn San Diego at the Harbor. There are so many other options that exceed what is offered than what we had.
- 4/5
Ac not working
- 3/5
The staff behind the counter were good. Worst breakfast setup I've seen. I tried it...not good. I watched people come in and take a look and exit. The shower drain was blocked.
- 4/5
Yes
- 3/5
Hotel and room were clean and maintained, air conditioner worked well. Disappointed that there was no hot tub. Breakfast was pretty good. Get your coffee across the street from “Better Buzz Coffee” though. Bathroom is extremely tight, almost impossible to fit 2 people in there at the same time. Do not use Rooms 112 & 114 as they are between the laundry room and the breakfast prep room and the breakfast room. You will be awoken early to loud noises, including staff talking loudly over the machines.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff are friendly. Parking spaces are little tight.
- 2/5
Our room was not ready until 4:00. Pictures do not match what the property looks like.
- 4/5
The breakfast menu was fine, just wish there were more hot menu items, but that's me being picky. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the only 1 issue was that I could hear them from my room, as we shared a wall. The air conditioning in my room was great, and the room overall was well-maintained. Good experience!
- 3/5
Staff was incredibly welcoming, location was perfect for what we needed and we loved the convenience of the included breakfast However, the property was very outdated and not the cleanest. We had a cockroach in our room we had to kill and when my husband asked for more towels and a blanket no blankets were available. I also thought $10 for parking per night should have just been included in the price instead of an additional charge. We would most likely not stay here again.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful. The BEST bed ever! It was soft and comfortable. The room was very spacious. Location is great. Not too far from airport and cruise port.
- 5/5
In a convenient area to see my son at Point Loma Naval Base.It was easy to get-to several locations in the area from the location. The free breakfast was tasty and the pool area was nice too.
- 4/5
I like the location
- 3/5
The breakfast was ok even better than other comparable properties. BUT BEWARE!!! Although the room & bed were clean & comfortable the motel is in a very noisy area and the picture advertised is definitely not what you would be led to believe OR sadly expect. There is only a street view, period…
- 5/5
Everything was awesome!
- 3/5
Our room smelled like chlorine and it was hard to fall asleep. The front door also didn't all the way. Thankfully there was a bolt.
- 5/5
- 3/5
Everything was good and a lot of eating options in the area and convenient stores , room was spacious and clean , great location to the harbor.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Great spot to rest
- 3/5
The room smelled funky but was clean and comfortable. We were only there one night. It was on a corner of some busy streets and we heard several sirens at night. The parking was small. For the price, I didn't expect anything better.
- 5/5
Great location and perfect for a
- 4/5
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. Its not that far off from locations we wanted to visit. Would come back for another stay.
- 5/5
My son and I stayed here for spring break fun and to quote my 13 year old they are the g.o.a.t hahaha .. room was clean pool was clean great staff amazing help when we needed it. Great location Would recommend again mmaayyybbe the one gripe I had is we didn’t get much info about where stuff was located and how to get stuff if you needed but that’s a slight gripe. Would definitely come back and guarantee it to friends
- 3/5
Staff were nice and the room was clean, but the bleach smell was overwhelming. The noise from outside was constant, and I couldn’t sleep all night.
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. Good location.
- 5/5
It was less than 5 mins away from the airport
- 3/5
It’s a motel in what felt like a safe area. The included breakfast is nothing to write home about. Staff was helpful and prompt. There are some decent restaurants and a coffee shop close by in walking distance. Parking is pretty limited so if they’re sold out then I don’t know what they would do, wasn’t a problem
- 5/5
I stay here often. I will be back.
- 3/5
Close to airport. On the last night, the bed sheets on both beds had some stains that looked like blood stains. The walls are also very thing as we could hear people talking in the room above ours. Overall, staff were kind and helpful.
- 2/5
Paper thin walls
- 2/5
The hair dryer doesn't work, my wife try to use the phone to call the front desk, the phone doesn't work, I walk to the front desk and ask for another hair dryer, the lady told me, will be send to my room, never happen.
- 5/5
The staff is amazing, very kind and helpful. They made our stay remarkably pleasant. Give those hard working women raises
- 4/5
Room was clean, location was convenient for walking to harbor and restaurants and easy driving access around the city. It was quite loud from street noise. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast and they ask that you not take food from the tiny dining area.
- 2/5
Breakfast was the exact same every day, nothing fresh, the A/C unit in the room was loud and hardly kept the room cool. Screens on the windows were shredded, definitely needs updating. One front office staff was beyond rude every time we dealt with her over the 5 day stay. Housekeeping did a good job keeping the room clean. Would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Our room was clean except for the previous occupant's food that was left in the refrigerator that we threw out. Staff were so friendly and very accomodating.
- 1/5
Bad area. I didn't feel safe at all. The room next to me was constant pounding on the Door. My Room smelled like mildew.
- 5/5
Property is outdated however for the price and location, you can't beat it. Parking lot is small and breakfast is minimal items like cereal, waffles, and yogurt. I would stay again!
- 3/5
The door to the room would not completely close, gap all aroundd the door. The A/C & Heater didn’t work properly. The pool needed cleaning. They had a pretty good select for Breakfast, except the eating area was cramped. Not sure if we would stay again.
- 4/5
A great stay for me and my kids over their spring break. It’s not as expensive of a hotel as I typically book, so it was pretty much as I expected with regard to amenities and such, but I will compliment the staff for all being friendly and attentive. I will also say, I travel a lot, for business and pleasure, and the double bed in our family room was unbelievably comfortable! Definitely in my top three beds of any and all hotels! I slept like I do in my own bed at home, straight through the night, instead of waking up several times like I typically will in a hotel room.
- 5/5
A very clean and quaint hotel. Very accommodating.
- 4/5
Clean room but the shower would flood the whole bathroom.
- 4/5
Good place for the price.
- 3/5
I was thinking about saying something while I was there but honestly. The stay was quick so I was just happy to be out .
- 5/5
Staff was incredibly friendly, location was clean, felt very safe.

- 5/5
Free breakfast!
- 4/5
Room was clean. A little outdated, but overall good. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Poolside seating was good, the room was clean, easy distance from the airport, walking distance from the harbor, easy access to rooms from outside
- 5/5
Breakfast was good, clean room, and family friendly kids had a blast at the pool.
- 5/5
My go to spot for festivals, never an issue and always comfy for sleep
- 5/5
It was very clean and comfortable and safe. The location was accessible to everything I needed. The staff was so sweet. They really were. The one issue I had was with my tv connection and when someone came up to fix it they brought me a basket of treats including warm cookies. I would stay here again without a second thought.
- 5/5
- 3/5
Clean room and nice cleaning staff. The only problem is the front desk doesn’t give information upon arrival you have to figure everything out. Charges $10 per day for the finest parking lot ever.
- 5/5
Great location and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Plenty of available parking. Nice, comfortable, and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Great place with bunk beds for grand kids! They loved it! THANK YOU
- 5/5
I had a chance to visit the pool. There was a “canine rest area” with clean astroturf for pets to use. Also, a seagull drinking from the pool. Seemed nice enough. The hotel is a block from the yacht harbor and across the street from a donut shop, so a walk and munch is in order.
- 1/5
This is probably the worst package bait and switch I've ever got from Expedia and I will never again trust an airfare + hotel bundle from them again. First off, my room was gross, floor was uneven, the door wouldn't close (you could push it open so the security latch is the only thing keeping it from opening), and the area of town was sketchy. This is a 1 star motel at best. The breakfast area is a weird closet that was unacessable by some random fat dude who couldn't sit anywhere else but block the doorway so I couldn't get in beyond the 5 people stuck in the room. Expedia should drop this location from their bundles because it's truly awful. The AC smelled moldy and is as loud as a jet engine. The shower was actually nice and clean but hot water took about 5 mins to finally kick in. I didn't have a chance to even see if there was a pool because I didn't want anyone to break into my room. Overall this is like something you would find along a highway in Memphis.
- 5/5
Excellent location! Can’t beat the price! Pool was a little chilly but was clean! Parking was a little tight but only $10 a night. Awesome value hotel!
- 5/5
It was a great stay!
- 4/5
The staff was absolutely amazing! The cleaning staff cleaned my room amazingly everyday. Front desk gave great recommendations and breakfast was available everyday. The rooms had a horrible odor and dampness. Definitely needs some upgrades
- 5/5
Room was so nice and clean and very safe part of town, felt really nice staying here. And I was a girl alone so I really liked how safe I felt.
- 5/5
Best location for our trip to San Diego, right next to bus stops, good stores nearby, and a comfy room. Breakfast was awesome, and the staff was always kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Great accommodations!
- 5/5
No shuttle, but great service at the front desk
- 3/5
Rooms are dated as is the property in general..
- 3.5/5
Bathroom sink backed up.
- 3/5
Staff are very nice
- 1/5
Room didn't feel safe. Door was unstable. Ceiling was cracked in several areas and bulging out, due to water damage. Had a weird smell in the room. Shower was recently renivated but when taking a shower. Water was slowly plugging up. Plus it was expensive considering what we paid and the prices around the area varied. It wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. So I figured it should of been decent. Will never go there again. Lesson learned.
- 4/5
Hote is next to busy road, and your room might be noisily during night (at least my room was)
- 2/5
No lobby or breakfast like stated in the summary
- 3/5
They need to improve their bathroom. Whenever you take a shower, water will be all over the floor. They request us to reuse towels but it's impossible. You end up to use all towels to clean the floor. I don't know who designed the bathroom.
- 4/5
No hot water the frist night but were quick to fix it the next day. Nice and close to everything.
- 4/5
Was okay.
- 3/5
Staff was great. Room were clean. The ceiling of the room needed work done.
- 3/5
The stay was decent. Our room was clean, and although the mattresses were springy, they were comfortable enough. However, the amenities felt outdated—the washer and dryer needed cleaning, the laundry room had a musty smell, and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan. Staff was friendly, and check-in was easy.
- 4/5
Very old. Very clean. Good breakfast.
- 5/5
Bette than I thought.
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
Spotless! Very kind and attentive staff at checkin! Very impressed and will be back!
- 5/5
Very friendly, room was clean
- 4/5
Covered all the basics. Room was and smelled freshly cleaned upon check in. All staff were very friendly and attentive. Great selection at breakfast however the room where you eat is small and hot. The bathroom was small with no fan but propping the window open did the job. Centrally located within walking distance of all kinds of amenities. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 1/5
Not a good stay. Toilet. Roken and items fallung of the wall. Got bit of some sort of Bugs and lous noises all nifht. Realy old building.
- 2/5
The complimentary breakfast was bad. The hot food was gone within a half hour of it opening. The staff was not welcoming at all. The only nice people on property were the housekeepers.
- 0.5/5
Maybe the rooftop terrace It was the smell the paint in the bathroom our bathroom was facing an alley where people can walk by and see-through lack of parking the complementary breakfast room was tiny to handle all them people photos on Booking.com were deceiving towels were hard and dirty toilet seat was off center water was coming out of the shower onto the floor and a lot of noise from the maintenance room because we stayed in the room next to it.
- 1/5
The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I immediately switched to another hotel.
- 2/5
Room was not well kept. When we arrived, there were obvious signs that it hadn’t been cleaned or tended properly: water on the counter, water stains on the sink faucet, smeared mirror and missing any tissues from the tissue dispenser. The bathroom has no fan, so it would constantly be damp from the humidity. Toilet handle was loose and the tank was constantly running.
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
Not enough parking. The breakfast are was extremely crowded and warm. When I tried to take my breakfast to my room, one of your employees gave me a hard time. If we’re not allowed to bring breakfast to enjoy in our room then you should provide a more comfortable area.
- 3/5
It’s perfect for being the Comfodt

Room had a bad smell to it. We were booked for two nights but left after the first night.
- 5/5
How friendly all the staff was.
- 4.5/5
The heat was a bit spotty in the room.
- 4/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff
- 1/5
Nasty odor inside their rooms
- 4/5
Everything was fine. Clean room but there was an odor I did not like. Breakfast was good too.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly
- 5/5
todo muy bien!
- 5/5
The room was very clean, staff friendly and close to Marine Corp.
- 4/5
Room was clean, no issues. Upstairs neighbor stomped around all night but other than that it was a nice stay
- 2/5
The parking lot is a joke and to pay $10 a day is ridiculous.
- 3/5
Room, amenities, location
- 3/5
Good staff; facilities needs to be updated
- 2/5
The ice machine was broken, but we were not informed when checking in. Had to walk back to office with ice bucket after finding this out. They could have had ice available at front desk and asked if we needed any. The room was not up to the standards I have come to expect in my previous stays at a Comfort Inn. This was more a Motel 6 facility and we were very disappointed in the whole expereince
- 5/5
everything was fine
- 5/5
Good Breakfast, and the hot shower with excellent pressure great after a long day of travel. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. thank you for my hospitable stay. *****
- 4/5
Free buffet breakfast included eggs, sausage, waffles, and other grab-and-go foods. The pool was cold, so we didn't get to use it, but it was January.
- 5/5
Clean room, great accommodating staff. Great location, across the street from boardwalk with fish market and restaurants. Room was nice, quiet and comfortable.
- 4/5
Yes. Clean room. Love the staff. Very friendly.
- 2/5
Didn’t feel comfortable
- 1/5
Would never stay here again.
- 4/5
Great location close to Shelter Island, Point Loma, Airport, not far to downtown & Old Town. Good value for budget hotel, decent breakfast. Pool looks nice but not heated so not very usable in the offseason.
- 5/5
Clean room, the staff was very understanding and comunicated well. Breakfast was very delicious
- 5/5
Great room, clean property and courteous staff
- 4/5
The breakfast menu is limited.
- 4/5
I like the place and location
- 3/5
The room was fine and the check in clerk was very polite and courteous. The hitel was in a great location, close to the airport as well as the places in needed to be. The only downsode I'd say was howbthin thr walls were. You could literally hear the person in the next room coughing.
- 1/5
I would never ever stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. However the room was a nightmare! It is falling apart at every corner. The first thing that hits you when you enter the room is the smell. My daughter-in-law has allergies and immediately started having trouble. The room was filthy and the neighborhood was sketchy at best. They advised on the harbor, false advertisement! My family turned around and walked straight out and they refused to refund our money. So to anyone thinking of staying here…book somewhere else as you have no idea what you might bring home from this place.
- 5/5
Quiet clean room
- 3/5
Good place.
- 5/5
Nice clean room
- 4/5
Clean room, kind staff, great shower with hot water!
- 5/5
Cute place... prime location... very clean and updated rooms... comfortable beds.
- 3/5
Staff was super nice. But the room had mold in the bathroom. And the breakfast was not umm the eggs swam in water and the sausages were grey green in color. So waffles and coffee.
- 5/5
The staff is very courteous. The amenities are great. Onsite washer and dryer (extra large drum) is only $5.50 for a load. In the lobby they always have an urn filled with water, ice and lemons. The rooftop lounge area is spacious, a nice relaxing place to have a drink and look at the harbor. You are facing southeast so you will not see the actual sunset. Across the street you have Better Buzz Coffee, two different liquor stores, and a Winchell's open 24 hours, the baker is legit. I recommend this place for an inexpensive fun stay at the harbor. Americas Cup Harbor is across the street.
- 3/5
Need less bleach or disinfectant in room. Came late to just sleep before flight and had to air out room for over an hour to get disinfectant spray out of air.
- 2/5
Room smelled and police were at the hotel and used tear gas. Unsafe area.
- 1/5
Dirty, inaccurate pictures, smell was not good.
- 5/5
Room service was offered every day.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and clean, breakfast was good, no complaints!
- 5/5
good place to stay at! comfortable and the workers are very nice.
- 2/5
Very noisy location, between paper thin walls the sirens, and the homeless people yelling outside. cleanliness was lacking. Lots of hair in the bathroom and the bed, additionally what appeared to be blood on the duvet. Wouldn’t recommend.
- 5/5
Clean room, very friendly staff :)
- 5/5
Easy check in

Clean, breakfast
- 2/5
The rooms were dirty and no proper housekeeping service. Rooms are very small for comfort inn standard. It's actually a motel not really a hotel. No much options in breakfast. Location is ok
- 3/5
Didn’t see breakfast offered. Older property. Very noisy location.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful
- 4/5
Convenient location and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Was ok. Was not happy i had to pay for parking.
- 4/5
The staff was great. The air conditioning was a little loud. Not a large variety for breakfast but the coffee was good.
- 5/5
good facilities, reasonable price and good service
- 4/5
Full breakfast was nice, staff was friendly, the walls are a bit thin, and the bed was too soft for me. Overall, it was a pretty good value.
- 4/5
Great location, room size and price. All the staff with the exception of the front desk receptionist was excellent.
- 3/5
Everything

- 1/5
The air in my room didnt work the toliet was clogged the bed took most of the space in my room manager never on site no parking even after paying for a spot.
- 5/5
Spotless, staff everything was great. One thing is we had to pay for hotel parking which we weren’t anticipating.
- 4/5
Clean room, nice amenities, good full breakfast, great location - close proximity to the pier and and the harbor along a few seafood restaurant.
- 1/5
awful
- 5/5
Great location on the bay and close to the airport
- 1/5
This place was sketchy, the front desk attendant tried to enter our room while we were in it at 8 pm? Didn't knock or anything. Said they were just "checking" our room.....
- 1/5
The room smelled really bad gave me a headache
- 4/5
The room was in good shape, the only ossue was noise, you can hear the traffic inside the room, and the next door neighbor. He was watching a game, I heard the tv and him kinda of loud
- 5/5
Great location for early departure from San Diego. Nice staff, clean room, undated bathroom, comfortable room.
- 1/5
When I went to check in, I waited for sometime to come to the front desk. No one showed until I had to get someone's attention through the window as they watched TV.
- 5/5
The location was very accessible.
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
We had several issues with getting our key card to work, and when I returned after being gone all day, the maid service had not closed our door all the way which made me feel unsafe going into my room with the door open.Rm 208 There was a strange man sitting on the balcony right in front of my window, and overall the people in the area were interesting. unfortunately i would not stay there again also experienced bugs in my room. I made the most of it having the harbor nearby was beautiful and a good coffee store across the street. (Better Buzz)
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. Room setup is great. The maid service does not come early in the morning (which I love), but when you come back from your day the room is made up just as it was on check-in. Very satisfied. Note, rooms don't have a view of the harbor (my room has no view); however, their rooftop terrace is spacious with lots of seating so you can view the harbor and watch the sunset. It is lovely. The pool area is very clean and spacious, with a bar/grill setup. You can somewhat view the harbor from the pool area too. The neighborhood has ALL you need. And it is safe. The Harbor Police do their patrols. They don't tolerate the riff-raff. Lol. Wonderful experience.
- 1/5
Stay was horrible and night stay lot of disturbing sounds and hotel was not clean and no safty
- 4/5
convenient location, clean room, good breakfast.
- 4/5
Clean room and good breakfast
- 4/5
Good for less than 100$ per night
- 3/5
We were in a room with a view from the backside of the building. From there, we could see a very unkempt, jury-rigged drainage and laundry. The breakfast was good, with cold cereal, juicy, decent coffee, mini muffins, English muffins, waffles, yogurt, oranges and apples, scrambled eggs, and sausage. However, the breakfast room was tiny and stuffy with the sun shining in brightly on everyone, including the eyes of half the people. The small room meant most people shared tables with strangers, and people constantly milled past them in very close proximity, sometimes standing over them. Another issue was that we did not find out they charge $10 for parking until after making the non-renewable reservation. Their competitor next door (Ramada) does NOT charge for parking, so in the end, it is cheaper to stay there.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
We ate breakfast the 1st morning we stayed and it was delicious. The stay was fun thank you
- 4/5
the room was clean not as bigbas it looked on the pics. But it is a cute little motel style drive up to your door kind of place. Breakfast was nice. Waffles, muffins bagels cold cereal ot oatmeal, eggs and sausage. Coffee, juices, and milk.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful. My issue was the bed. It was a king size and very uncomfortable
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning that we stayed there. The bed was very comfortable and had a great shower. Would definitely stay there again.
- 2/5
check in was fine. the lady who checked us in was nice. the room smelled heavily of bleach n so my husband and i had to air it out for a bit. when i called down to the front desk and asked what time check out was, the lady who answered was very rude to me and said it was at 11 and as i was gonna ask another question she said bye and hung up on me mid sentence. i myself work in the hospitality industry n have for years now so i understand it might have been busy at the desk but its never okay to be rude like that. someone also tried to force their way in our room at 8am as we were getting ready to leave which is crazy bc it wasn’t even close to check out time yet. i wouldn’t recommend staying here, you can find a better property for a better price and amenities.
- 1/5
The staff are kinda difficult and don’t explain good and never told us there was a fee they charge twice 120.00 for a deposit
- 2/5
Hard as rock beds, sketchy place, pay for parking on top of it all. Would not recommend!
- 4/5
Front desk service was excellent both days
- 5/5
The staff was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable
- 3/5
Staff was great. Room could be improved. No fan in bathroom made it all humid and shower didn’t have a door and water was everywhere. Floors were a little dirty. Other than that stay was great. Staff didn’t bother us and was very helpful when needed. Breakfast was good! Thanks for having us.
- 1/5
Staff were lovely. The room...ehhhh. blood on the sheets and black hair
- 3/5
This location is good but nothing to write home about. The facility needs some modernization.
- 4/5
It was a great experience especially for the price! Front desk Thalia was very kind and The location was okay. I enjoyed my room! Thank you :)
- 5/5
Breakfast was spectacular, central to many things I wanted to see in San Diego, super friendly staff, clean rooms and cozy bed. My one and only complaint was that the A/C/ fan didn't work in my room. It was a bargain finding this hotel.
- 5/5
Very good value and location.
- 5/5
The staff is GREAT
- 4/5
Older hotel, but very clean and good area.
- 5/5
Yes it was clean and tidy everything was great breakfast was good and has some variety of options pretty good for the price..
- 3/5
Walking distance to very good restaurants and a donut shop and liquor store!
- 2/5
Breakfast area was way too small. Staff struggled to keep food stocked. Room wasn't as nice as photos. Parking was an extra charge. Thought is was included. Absolutely no view from room. Ice machine wasn't working.
- 5/5
I love how the beds were so comfortable and the layout. n/a
- 5/5
clean comfy bed easy check in/out
- 5/5
All the above, excellent hotel, will definitely be back
- 4/5
Room was clean. Beds were comfy. Bathroom door didn’t close all the way. Pretty quiet. About 10 minutes away from lots of popular places. Staff were excellent, very nice. Price was great for the room but location made it worth it.
- 4/5
Clean, friendly staff would recommend
- 3/5
Needs to be renovated. Hotel/motel is run down. Bunk beds need new blankets & deft new pillows.
- 4/5
Good locale and price.
- 3/5
room kind of shabby. no ice
- 5/5
All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Thalia checked me in, and accommodated my request for a second floor room. She was very warm yet professional. The room was very nice, very clean.
- 5/5
Yes spotless
- 5/5
Pleasant staff. Wonderful breakfast, clean rooms. Fairly price!
- 4/5
It was all right in general, just some items to improve, breakfast and restroom area it's too small
- 5/5
I arrived several hours early and the staff was kind enough to allow me to check in early which I really appreciated because I was exhausted from a long range fishing trip. As usual the room was exceptionally clean. No issues. A big plus for me is that there is always good coffee in the lobby. They use an insulated dispenser so the coffee always tastes great. They also offer a very nice breakfast with a wide variety of items. The Comfort Inn is my new go to hotel whenever I am in Point Loma, which is several times per year.
- 5/5
It is okay in general.
- 2/5
The room smelled of heavy chemicals to hide odors. Not good for people that had COVID in the past. The room was really small, the TV wouldn't turn on, and the hotel is on a really busy and noisy street.
- 1/5
Run down getto motel. Room had a strong disinfectant smell. I was trying a get some quick sleep but the housekeeping staffs shouting outside made it impossible. Ledt the place more tired than came in. Stayaway!
- 5/5
The pool deck and pool were clean and inviting. Busy street, there will be noise.
- 2/5
Front office staff are great. Cleaning staff don't get people pay to get sleep. Shouldn't be banging and trying to into rooms at 8am. Room was clean. Pool no one cleaned.
- 5/5
Very convenient area for San Diego activities. Chose this property because it is dog friendly. Thank you.
- 1/5
I reserved and paid for a room with a king and queen bed and only got a single king.
- 3/5
Parking lot was full and extremely tight. Rooms are small. No real ventilation; other than propping the bathroom window open. There was an AC. But no actual circulation so it made the room stuffy. Definitely on the older side. It was clean otherwise. King matttess felt like a sofa bed mattress (thin) with a mattress pad on top. I would definitely check other options next time.
- 2/5
Do not stay in room 112. It is next to the kitchen. I was worken up at 5:30 am by so much noice from staff working in the kitchen. Didn’t get to sleep much.
- 4/5
unfortunately I had to wait until 3:00 p.m. to check in. I had my brunch in near by Danny's restaurant until 4:00 p.m. to check in hotel. It’s a long waiting time.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful! We also were impressed that when our ac quit working they responded immediately and helped us change rooms within minutes. The friendly service was above and beyond our expectations.

- 3/5
Good variety
- 2/5
The property is old, the breakfast was horrible, we didn’t have maid service had to go and get our own towels. The front desk clerks were ok.
- 5/5
Nice clean room. Everything was great.
- 1/5
Desperate need of paint. Mattress was lumpy and so soft that you sank into it. No support. Bed frame is on wheels with no locks! My husband backed up against and it rolled so hard into me that it knocked me down! Waited 30 mins in AM for more coffee. Finally took OJ back to the room, dropped it and when I cleaned it up with a towel, the floor was filthy! Then I looked at the bottom of my socks and they were almost black. Seriously the worst Comfort Inn I have ever stayed at!
- 5/5
I’ve not had breakfast yet,, checked in at 2, it’s now 8:55 pm
- 3/5
The photos look better than it is. There were hairs in the towels and the floors were uneven in the room and shower. The street is pretty noisy and this is a motel with rooms facing out to the street.
- 5/5
Neeeds bettter breakfast
- 3/5
Friendly staff. Loud air conditioning Broken outlets. Bad smell. Uncomfortable bed
- 4/5
Had an early flight could not get breakfast and did notifier a to go breakfast.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, polite. Will stay there again!
- 3/5
Clean but somewhat noisy. Some mechanical clicking on and off all night
- 4/5
Everything was fine. Check-in was easy. Our room was very hot and smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals when we got there but it cleared out fairly quickly.
- 4/5
It's great affordable option to stay. Everything was functional in the unit and everything was very clean. I stayed in the first floor and it was quit even during the night. VERY FRIENDLY FRONT DESK STAFF AND CUSTODIANS.
- 5/5
Staff is friendly and helpful. Helped us with the bus routes and costs. Allowed us to store our luggage when we got in super early and worked quickly to get our rooms ready. Breakfast was normal hotel fare but it was adequate and kept well stocked. The hotel itself is older, but our room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was clean with lots of hot water.
- 5/5
Yes good breakfast
- 2/5
Didn't get our room cleaned the first night we stayed, had issues with the key card such as it not working, didn't know about $100 deposit after paying $300 total, also includes $20 for parking which it didn't state on website. The shower was amazing and the water pressure was insane, but the service I was not impressed with.
- 5/5
Great value for the price
- 1/5
We checked in to the property and went to our room. The window screen appeared that someone had tried to jimmi it open. The safe was in full view sitting in the open on top of a block and did not work. We left the property to get some dinner. Upon our return we felt unsafe - single mother and 3 youths. We removed our belongings and checked out. We were told we’d get our deposit and parking fee returned. We received the deposit but not the parking. Very scary and disappointing, not to mention waste of money.
- 5/5
Room and bathroom very small, bur nicely renovated and very clean , we had to take turns to use the bathroom. Breakfast was good, waffles, cereals, eggs and sausages, yogurt, bread, English muffins, apples and bananas. AC worked good but was quite noisy. Patio and pool could use some more chairs or decoration but was OK. Staff was very nice. The best part was you cross the street and can walk fro miles around the docks on nice board walk with shops and restaurants and it was nice and without the homeless people. We loved the area.
- 3/5
However, there were some strands of hair on the bed when we checked in which was off putting. Also, there was a huge spider in the bathroom that disappeared before I could try and let it out the window or even kill it so for all I know, it could probably still be somewhere in that room. Anyway, the older gentlemen who checked me in when I finally arrived after midnight was so kind for giving us cookies & thanking us for staying with them, and the area was not that bad. I love how close it was to everything I needed, and there was even a 24-hour deli right next door. Although, I will say the parking lots are a bit too small for my liking. I rented a Ford Bronco and we could barely fit through the lots. Unfortunately, I didn’t try any of the complimentary breakfast since I never woke up on time so I can’t comment on that. Overall, I’ll give everything a 3.5/4
- 5/5
Across the street from Fisherman’s Landing San Diego.
- 3/5
All was good except that parking does cost...
- 3/5
Room was also between the food prep room and the laundry room so it was loud in the morning.
- 3/5
Friendly staff. The toilet barely works and the shower takes about 5 minutes to reach hot water and the pressure is not consistent. Room 224 should be removed from use until the plumbing is corrected.
- 3/5
Parking was a bit tight. Room was okay, and room was quieter compared to those facing the street. Very convenient.
- 5/5
The lady that checked us in was super nice and gave us cookies! Breakfast sounds like it will be nice!
- 5/5
The only minus: no fitness center. But the pool well compensated for that.
- 5/5
The the linens were so soft, very high quality. And welcoming to this very, very exhausted body. Breakfast was adequate and restocked continuously. As I am a yogurt and cranberry juice for breakfast person. So not a good judge on breakfast. High quality yogurt and not watered down juice i was happy. Plenty of parking and close to the room. The bathing products were of good quality as were the hair products. I would stay again as it was close to everywhere.I was trying to go. I actually left two items.I called late in the afternoon, and they were there.I swung by before going to the airport and they were handed to me by the manager on duty. And I was on my way to the airport. Definitely I would stay again.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Check in was easy and quick. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, but the staff were very attentive to keeping things replaced and clean. There are other restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. We stayed here the night before our cruise ship left. It is an older hotel, but we had no complaints.
- 4/5
Comfortable stay in a nice room.
- 5/5
Convenient location for our business trip. Bed was comfy, quiet at night, and the hot breakfast was a nice bonus. Only downside was the bathroom—no exhaust fan and water leaks from the shower causing the door to warp.
- 5/5
Assistance provided by the entire staff!! Everyone working at the hotel did an excellent job whenever I needed assistance even when I did not request it.
- 5/5
Good customer service from evening Front Desk staff.
- 5/5
2nd time staying here always close and convenient for me to go places on a getaway weekend
- 2/5
the breakfast was ok minimal. The rooms are small, there is no view in any room, and it needs updating, the restrooms are super small and hardly any storage
- 5/5
Good location
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable, decent size of the room. I'll recommend 👌
- 2.5/5
Room keys don't work good. Small shower
- 4/5
Close to the airport
- 4/5
dont have a pet..didnt use pool...
- 3/5
The room had a pungent smell
- 3/5
The room was generally clean, the bed and floor, but the whole thing smelled of mildew. Luckily we had some Lysol available to help cover that up. The bathroom however, was not very clean at all. There were cobwebs in the corners and a layer of shower scum that looks to have been there for a bit. The floor was clean, but that is only because this was an ADA room with a roll in shower that would flood the entire bathroom. The sloped tiles that they use to be ADA compliant did not at all keep the water in. The water was hot but the shower head did not adjust but for 1 other setting, and both felt like some sort medieval torture for death by shower needles. The bed was decently comfortable. I hope the red finger prints on the door were from makeup and not someone's blood. The breakfast room was tiny and didn't fit many people, but as that was free with the room, we weren't too concerned. Mostly we just popped in for coffee, as the in room coffee pot didn't work, but is normal. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head, that is generally close and within walking distance to the beach, this will suffice. But just don't expect too much.
- 4/5
Breakfast was a little skimpy
- 2/5
Location is nice. Rooms are dated and poorly kept. Shotty

I remember reading a review about this place being remodeled. My room needed a serious updating. The street with traffic was very loud outside from my room, lots of banging in the halls…not a very quiet place by any stretch. It was right by the harbor, which was nice, but at the same time there were vagrants going through the trash right outside my door. I felt this place left a lot to be desired. Parking was horribly tight, and they even charged for parking each night. Front Desk staff was nice and helpful though.
- 4/5
Good breakfast Room very clean Bathroom very clean, but too small Being on the second floor is quieter from outside noises than on the first floor.
- 5/5
The mere fact I came back tells you about how good this motel.
- 5/5
Excellent. Will stay again next year. Shawna at the front desk was very helpful.
- 4/5
Clean comfortable bed. Awesome dining options! Staff was great!
- 3/5
Make sure they clean your bathroom door plus handles and everything that you may touch in your room, my bathroom door had a little bit of blood on it when I checked in.This room also gives motel vibes in my opinion it should’ve been cheaper but I’m glad I only booked it for 1 night. The staff are friendly and breakfast was ok oh yeah and the parking lot is very tight so make sure you arrive early
- 5/5
We love this hotel....its close to the airport, very centralized, close to restaurants and shopping. It was very clean and staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Its conveniently located with restaurant, fast food, grocery store ar walking distance.
- 5/5
Great staff, all that you need, a bit noisy but for the price you pay, you can ignore
- 2/5
Property has some moldy areas. They dont mention a $10 parking fee is required if parking there.
- 4/5
There was confusion about the length of my stay and the parking. The shower did not drain. The AC did not work very well. It was a very noisy hotel room. It was, however, very convenient for my purpose in San Diego and filled the bill.
- 5/5
Great value hotel with hot breakfast and nice, clean rooms. Parking is free and super easy, rarity for San Diego!
- 1/5
The property and room were very old and in bad condition. the bathroom had crusty faucets, badly repaired and cracked tile. The doors and and windows were ancient and in bad condition. The wall air conditioner spewed out musty air. Overall a bad experience.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The front desk staff was very friendly. The day after checking in I placed the ‘do not disturb’ sign on my door when leaving for the day; however, when I returned to my room the sign was on the lock on the inside of the door, & the room had been cleaned. There is also a sign in the bathroom about leaving towels hung to conserve water if using again; all that I’d used was hung & they still replaced these. My room keys also failed twice and had to be reswiped at the front desk. Other than that, the location & price was adequate for my needs. They did allow me to keep my car parked after check out so that I could do what I needed in town during the day before heading home.
- 3/5
My family and I stayed her for our trip to SeaWorld. Location was close, we were roughly 5 miles away from the park. The views of the marina were nice. The breakfast was decent- waffle pouring station, yogurts, cereals, coffee/juice. The rooms are not very clean hair on the counters, debris on the floor and some unknown substance in the bunk bed. I spent a great deal of time cleaning and sanitizing. We will not stay at this property again.
- 4/5
The breakfast was surprisingly good for a small hotel. The parking lot is dead small and hard to move around in and it was a bit noisy at night, but otherwise I was happy! People yelling outside, bathroom door is small and shower is small not meant for fat people like me.
- 4/5
- 4/5
Nice and roomy.
- 3/5
Pics are misleading, building is old but clean. Few bugs in the room but did not smell
- 1/5
I couldn't make the trip do to a vehicle accident and the Comfort Inn did not refund any of the room cost. Not sure if this lands on Comfort Inn or Expedia. I even bought Expedia's insurance and they told me it was for bodily harm only. So, I guess they wanted me to be in the hospital in order to refund my money.
- 2/5
The place doesn't look like the pictures but the area is nice
- 5/5
Front counter was super nice and accommodating. Very helpful and kind
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay, great location and wonderful customer service. Corina helped me change my room type and was so kind about it. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
- 1/5
The room was too small for us especially the bathroom. You have to close the door in order to seat in the toilet. The location was noisy as it is too close to the road.
- 4/5
Great location to everything we were there for. Nice people working there. Older hotel but had been remodeled not too long ago. It room was comfortable just a really small bathroom though a tiny bonus bedroom with a full size bed. Great patio but furniture needs to be updated and the patio itself needs to be power washed. Great restaurants just across the road.
- 5/5
Perfect location for a conference I was attending without breaking my bank. Room was clean and quiet. Front desk was super friendly!
- 5/5
Great service and amazing location. Clean newly renovated room. We loved our stay!
- 4/5
Small but clean hotel.
- 3/5
Pictures look a lot better than actual place. Easy access to marinas and free parking with stay. AC is very loud.
- 1/5
The place it tore up. Falling apart. Ants in the bathroom. AC broken molding falling off. Can’t open bathroom door without hitting shower door. Breakfast was nasty at best. Can’t take food back to room to eat. The place was a dump. It really sad because the pictures online made it look so nice.
- 2/5
I will never go back to Comfort Inn. This facility was old, moldy, dingy, and unclean. The only positive thing I have to say is the rooftop terrace has a good view.
- 5/5
Property is dated
- 5/5
It is great
- 3/5
No breakfast available and the road noise is very loud. This should be noted before booking the room.
- 1/5
The room smelled of old disinfectant. The mattresses had to be 19 or more years old. Crappy neighborhood. Not ready at check in had to wait across the dtree
- 4/5
I like the room service everyday. But the room was small and tv was not working
- 4/5
Great location! Hotel is a bit dated but location is great! Several walkable eateries and coffee options close by. Good pool and onsite small pet area!
- 4/5
Love the Pt. Loma area!! Close to everything. Property has easy access. Room was decent & had everything that I required. Bathroom was a bit small, but shower was excellent. Regarding hot portion of breakfast. I've stayed here a few times before & they never change it up!! Thank you...
- 5/5
Bed could have been firmer otherwise great experience and location
- 5/5
It’s good for a nite but if you want to spend time by the pool nope I don’t recommend it! Pool was dirty, pool furniture looked like it was in its last leg and it was dirty. By the pool area was dirty and bird poop. The chill area on the top floor well was dirty they really need to upgrade. Breakfast very basic coffee was not good. The price was ok for what you get!
- 3/5
I was unhappy that the beds were in different rooms, and the rooms were tiny for the price
- 5/5
Very convinient!
- 0.5/5
Bedsheets/comforter was ripped. Very small room, very old and outdated.
- 1/5
Terrible experience at Comfort Inn San Diego Airport. Room 212 had a serious cockroach problem, with about ten roaches running around overnight. Staff's response was unhelpful, offering spraying without much concern. Had to cut my stay short for safety reasons. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
- 3/5
Dated hotel. Room was in a corner alcove next to janitorial closet. Can’t look out windows. Barely turn around in bathroom.
- 2/5
Everything was good nice and clean until this morning at 5:30 am we tried getting coffee and a girl was trying to get water and had a mess she did. It seemed all there and she looked at me and said I am sorry I am a resident. I don’t know what she mentioned but she was doing weird things and lobby guy was there and did not say anything to her. She finally got water and left towards the elevator.
- 5/5
Good spot and service
- 4/5
All in all, we had a pleasant stay here. my only small issue would be no exhaust fan in the restroom. otherwise it was a very pleasant stay. loved the pastry shop across the street!!!
- 3/5
I didn't like the homeless guy squatting at continental breakfast.
- 5/5
Loved it , thank again
- 4/5
This was a great location within walking distance of many restaurants and Shelter island. It is pretty busy on the road next to the property so the cars were pretty noisy until late. It is a dated building and pretty humble but had clean rooms and the staff was very friendly.
- 1/5
I checked in at late at night and the desk person was unprofessional. Place looks nothing like the photos.
- 1/5
Made error in booking could get a hold of anyone. Never answered the phone.
- 3/5
The staff was extremely friendly. The facilities were just average.
- 2/5
Room was unkept. Socks turned completely black when walking on the floor. Shower was uncleaned, pee stains on floor of bathroom.
- 4/5
Good location for food
- 3/5
Had to step out the room a few times to catch my breathe
- 3/5
rough paint job on walls, the bathroom door didnt close unless you pushed it real hard. It got stuck and had to pull real hard to open it It worked for us, but not sure we will be back
- 5/5
Need a quiet and comfortable place to stay. This hotel met all my family’s needs
- 1/5
Close to the harbor was the only upside. I arrived around 8 and no one was around to check me in. I had to physically call the hotel and let the phone ring (for some time) before anyone showed up to check me in. I was then given a horribly smelly room with an awful bed and a broken air conditioner. It was July. I’ll never stay here again.
- 2.5/5
Location Outdated lack of maintenance
- 3/5
Beds were way to firm and beds kinda smelled but other than that it was good.
- 4/5
Room was great, clean, amenities good, breakfast great. Main bed mattress extremely uncomfortable and linens did not smell/fresh clean. Pool had pigeons hanging out so poop/feathers all over so it was a nogo.
- 2/5
Bare

Housekeeping cleaned room but did not leave any towels so had to request them. Front desk was friendly and on the 3rd day gave us a snack box to take to the pool (girl working thurs/friday did not offer and acted like we were bothering her for pool towels). Also pool could be kept a little cleaner. Breakfast was underwhelming. Just a couple selections with no refilling so one out at 730am there was nothing more. Room was nice and clean, but small. Had the room with a king bed as well as a full bed with separate room bathroom was tiny.

I have regularly stayed with Comfort Inn and Choice family hotels. This property DOES NOT measure up to a Choice Family facility. Old outdated building, unkept, transients on parking lot. We did not check in. We opted for another hotel nearby. Extremely disappointed that Choice would engage with this lower tier, old, local hotel. Not in their normal inventory.

She was extra helpful and always so pleasant. all the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Cons: I was charged a difference in rate from what I booked, which I did think was unacceptable since the rate I paid on Expedia is what it was at my time of booking and I don't think I should have been charged any additional if the rate changed during my stay. A change in breakfast options would have been nice.

Exceptional value considering the location, with a pretty darn good breakfast buffet. I'd been staying in this area of San Diego for 3 years for an annual tuna fishing trip and it took me so long to try this hotel.

The most recent example of a new approach to a system that is more efficient I’m just saying I think it’s the way that I want it to go because it’s so easy to get it
