Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel & Marina

The room did not have coffee machine, and the bathroom door would not lock. The coffee machine near reception dispensed what I believe was just hot brown liquid, not coffee. I don't intend to stay at this place in the future.

Great location across from bay. Bed was very comfortable. No coffeemaker in the room; only a coffee machine in the lobby that didn’t work well. Overall the property in the older area is not aging well.

The staff was wonderful and the location relaxing. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace for a relaxing evening and were able to walk to the waterfront and dinner. We were given the option to upgrade when we checked in and we happy we did. Our room #164 had outdoor chairs and a little table that looked out onto the marina. We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the pool every day and one dinner at the hotel. We will be staying here the next time we come to San Diego.

The outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The dresser drawers were really in need of some work. We had a full kitchen, but very limited supplies (no stem knifes only butter knifes) Its a nice enough place to stay, just bring kitchen utensils for cooking. You have to pay a fee for parking every day. Also they charge you to use there Hotspot for TV. Ice machine did not work either.

Horrible hotel, I asked for clean towels at the pool and they never brought any down. The ac in the room dis not work. The elevator was broken. Trash hotel for an expensive price.

I’ve been coming to this hotel since I was a kid with my parents. I now have taken my own children a few times and it’s our favorite hotel in San Diego. It’s a beautiful property and in a great location.

The property is amazing, in a beautiful area. We used the fitness room, ate dessert in the restaurant which was delicious. I didn’t like the mattress or the $25 parking fee although these days I think is pretty standard. Also the glass door to enter into the rooms would not completely shut to lock. You had to pull it shut which most people didn’t do. For safety sake that needs to be repaired. I would still definitely stay again.

This hotelf has a friendly, helpful staff. It's a great location with nice amenities. Overall, it is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately our room had a shower/bathtub combination. The bathtub stopper was stuck and the tub filled with water when you showered.

Room smelled musty. We think it was the carpet due to ocean moisture. Coffee machine kept breaking down in the lobby.

Only complaint is the toilets are a little low to the ground and low to its own water. Grown Men you know what i mean. The AC unit is a little loud but not horrible. And lastly the fancy coffee machine they offer in the morning at the front desk had issues every morning. Sometimes a basic coffee setup works just fine. Overall we loved our stay, will stay again.

Best travel experience ever! The food and drinks were AMAZING. Views were absolutely beautiful. The room was my favorite part!!! And all the staff, including the brother who drove the golf cart around, were fantastic and very kind. I wanna go back!!!

It’s an excellent location within walking distance to lots of restaurants. The staff were super friendly and helpful and there is a fair quality restaurant on the property. The pools were lovely although the smaller pool definitely needs to be resurfaced and there’s issues with the doors getting into the pool and the fire pit was not operational so we couldn’t enjoy it in the evening other than that we had an excellent visit here and we look forward to coming back again!

We really loved this hotel, it felt like a resort and was in such an amazing location. Our only complaints were how dated the room was and the flicking switch in the bedroom at night. Our kids loved the pool, sitting outside smelling the beautiful floral was amazing and being so close to the water was really nice. Laundry is coin operated and they didn’t have any change available so be prepared if you’re going to do laundry, otherwise it was great. We stayed with kids varying in age and it was great for all. Close to the airport and cruise terminal!

Upon arriving we were delighted by the little fountain in the foyer. The staff at the desk was incredibly kind, I should have gotten the young man's name. He upgraded our room to a Marina View to give us a rare treat of enjoying the water. We spent a lot of time on that patio - we saw various birds and even a stingray when the tide was low. The shutters blocked out the light better than any hotel we've ever been to. It was incredibly quiet there. The beds were soft but admittedly a little hot underneath us. We still slept very well, though! As a short gal I can confirm the water pressure in the shower was actually good. I rarely get to say this so that was a great as well. We purchased drinks from the bar one evening and took them back to our room - they were well made. We walked the property and it was clean and felt safe. We were grateful for such a nice stay and would recommend them for a very quiet getaway, especially if you enjoy boating.

First time staying at a hotel in Shelter Island and I loved the place. Beautiful view of the bay and marina especially at sunset. Very peaceful and relaxing surroundings, perfect place for vacationing.

This was our second time staying in the one bedroom and we were not disappointed. It was a birthday celebration with dinner in the restaurant which was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel which is wonderfully located and responsive to guests.

Everything! We had a marina view room with a huge super king size bed. We got vouchers given to us for 15% off in the restaurant, which had beautiful views and the food was exceptional as was the service, nothing was too much trouble. Nothing at all we didn't like.

The Marina was 15 feet from our doorstep. Stay here. You won’t believe how cool this place is to stay and relax. Secluded, yet everything is still easily accessible. I can’t wait to return.

On the good side, all of the staff were super friendly. They do have an on-site bar and restaurant which is pretty good if you’re too lazy to go to town. The sort of tropical landscape environment is well-maintained.

Went fishing in San Diego. This place is perfect if you own a boat and trailer. It’s right in front of shelters island boat ramp. Made this Gager’s convenient for me.

This hotel is on Shelter Island, a perfect place near the airport and downtown, but away from the busy streets and noise of the city. A lovely park alongside the bay is across the street, with a small playground for small children. One side of the hotel faces the marina, while the other side faces San Diego bay. Second floor rooms have the best views!

We were upgraded to a suite and it was very comfortable. The pools are lovely.

I liked that it was so close to the water... You can see the view of downtown and partial Coronado bridge... Whether you are by the pool, eating at Blue wave bar and grill, or using their free bike rental to scope out the area, you can rest assured THIS property feels very comfortable and inviting... I've been coming here for 18 years and it never disappoints...

Housekeeping staff is always friendly and accommodating. My favorites are the front desk staff, Clinton and Alex. I have stayed her dozens of times over the past seven years and these two both stand out. Exceptional service, always recognize, greet and welcome me. It makes all the difference to me and my family.

This was a great stay for 2 nights, we had an amazing view across the bay.

The location was the only thing that was nice. We had a room with the kitchen and the separate room with a pull out sofa. The sofa was in bad shape and needed to be replaced. The refrigerator and stove top were in bad shape and need to be replaced. The toilet seat was very loose and couldn't be tightened. The toilet it self was very low and private parts were touching the water. The toilet paper was so thin and cheap it was ridiculous. The last thing. The housekeeping was horrendous. First day of housekeeping the person took one of the comforters off of one of the Queen beds and didn't replace it for our entire stay. I had to ask to replace the conditioner one day and the lady just lifted it on the counter and didn't replace it in the shower. That same night the body soap ran out and I just used my wife's soap. Third day they didn't give us any toilet paper, so I had to ask for some and go get it. When I checked out the guy at the counter asked me how was it. I said the it was ok but the housekeeping was horrendous and he had no reply. This is after spending $1100 for 4 days and 3 nights. My wife and I were there for our 22nd anniversary. This wad the second time we stayed there for our anniversary. The first time was so much better and that's why we came back. Totally different this time. Very disappointing.

Room was clean, check-in was seamless. Personnel are friendly, courteous and helpfull. Dinner was good, for both in the dinner party. Lunch was a little bit of a dissapointment. The paradise burger was a total bad expereience, the beef patty was scorged and bitter, the pineapple was burnt and bitter. The beef patty was replaced with another patty, less scorged, but still had the bitter scorged meat taste. Blackend does not meet scorged to a crisp with a bitter burnt meat taste, blackend creates a dark, flavorful, and smoky crust. The Thai chicken dish was delicious and flavorful.

training was from 1130 at night to 2:30 in the morning not a pleasant we were supposed to stay two nights we canceled the second night stay which the staff understood and were pleasant about it we stayed at the town suites in liberty Station, which is 1 million times better.

One of the highlights is the nightly view—watching the boats by the shore from your room is genuinely special and adds to the whole experience. The rooms themselves are modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. This is truly another San Diego treasure.

The location on San Diego by was exceptional. Watching the ships come in and out of port was fun. It was quiet at night and we felt very safe. $25 daily parking fee. We saw that there was free parking across the street and regret not knowing ahead of time we could have parked for free.

Property is huge. Just enough parking. Location is really nice. Room was clean but the shutters were a little dusty. Very quiet got a good nights rest. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Everything was to standard, room was nice just wish there was an actual coffee machine in room instead have having to go out to front lobby of my building to get coffee. But other than that everything was great. No coffee machine in room. Everything else was good.

There is not enough parking spaces for the guests. Even if you pay for the $25 a night parking fee to park your vehicle, there might not be enough parking spaces. Extremely frustrating. The parking garage is very limited. Looks like residents also park in the area and never move their vehicles from all the dust collected on them from never moving. Also, the night we stayed, police were patrolling the area and announcing on the loud speaker that they were looking for 3 robbery suspects from a robbery that just occurred.

So happy we found this place, everything about this place was wonderful! Rooms, pools and the restaurant was amazing. We stayed on the Marina side and the view was just beautiful. Walked along the bay every morning and night. Beach across the street had fire pits, the kids loved watching all the cargo ships. We will definitely be back

You just cannot beat the location of this hotel! Right across the street from the harbor, this provided a nightly getaway for a stroll along the beach. The location was also convenient to all of the areas in SD we wanted to check out. The facilities were clean, we didn't check out the restaurant or the pool, but everything looked great.

The staff was so very friendly and accommodating as we were traveling to San Diego for a wedding and had my 88 year old mother with so they booked our room close to the lobby with the wonderful restaurant all close by for her to walk. Very scenic with the marina on one side and the bay on the other with great walking paths all around!

Location & views are fantastic! Rooms are located in many different buildings. Had an injured leg so walking to the last building from the lobby was challenging. Saw golf carts being used (when checking out) BUT never offered or suggested by staff when I mentioned how far away our bldg was. Would stay here again……..

The property was great, our room was clean and the bathroom was very good. The only issue is the room smelled of cleaning or something. It was not overpowering but noticeable.

Really cute place! It’s older but seems well taken care of. We were pleasantly surprised with the size or our marina-view suite. We were looking for a place with a true separate bedroom, plus a fold-out for our 13-year old, and this fit the bill perfectly. We even had two bathrooms, plus an additiiinal sink in the bedroom. Three people easily all getting ready at the same time!

The property was great other than having to pay $25 a night to park our car in the parking lot.

Something was wrong with their phone system and the room phone rang repeatedly throughout night- they said others had same issue. Horrible night sleep. Management was too busy meeting to talk with me and no one really seemed to care. I would have given 5 stars if they hadn’t happened or at least someone cared more than just saying they’d send maintenance (who never came).

Wonderful place to stay for a visit to San Diego. Nice rooms, scenic views of the marina, on site restaurant and bar, large heated pool and hot tub. Within 15-20 minutes’ drive of downtown and the airport. Playground, beach, and walking path across the street.

Very easy and quick check in, our room was nice size and clean. We wasn’t told about anything that goes on on the property as far as food and entertainment, even though it seemed to be a lot going on. We loved the atmosphere, The view will definitely stay again. There wasn’t any parking on the parking lot. We parked across the street every night, which was convenient for us because our room faced the water.

I love the property, the area, the care, the general amenities. Coffee service appears to be a bit problematic. I did ask for a coffee maker in the room, and was accommodated. The main coffee machine in the lobby does not begin service until 7:00, although many are up by 6:00. Another machine, in another building was out of service. People waited and waited. More coffee, please.

The Hotel looked nice from the outside. The room at first glance was ok until we found popped balloons on the tv cabinet and Cheetos near the bed. We received a phone wake up call at 12 midnight and 5 am. I called the desk and they said there was an ongoing computer problem regarding the calls. They should have warned me so I could disconnect the phones. Also the hot tub is 10 ft from the room, which is very noisy while trying to sleep. The landscaping crew came at 6:45 am and used blowers and rakes outside my door.(another unplanned wake up call).The staff seemed friendly.

Very friendly staff, a lot of extra charges, surprisingly for parking on their lot - not open about free parking across the street, plumbing in the room was leaking. The coffee machine was only accessible for a couple of hours a day.

The rooms are very clean and the property is very well kept. It is in a good location with a great park/pier area right across the street.

It was a really nice hotel! The pool was well kept along with the room and the areas around it. It was very nice being tucked back by the marina to go to and from the pool and room. The restaurant attached was also wonderful, and added to the great experience.

Basically all was well as the location was excellent however it would have been nice to have The Golf Channel as a television option. Seems like a negative at most Best Westerns.

Everything was fantastic, we’ve already recommended this place to friends and family and definitely plan to be back! I would say our only minor complaint would be that the heater in our room didn’t work so great that first night, but other than that we loved it.

This was my fourth stay at my favorite hotel. I did however have a horrible first night with the people above me, dragging their chairs across a wooden floor and thankfully they left the following day and no more episodes. I would recommend doing away with the room to room calling available everyone, I had to unplug my phone. That first night someone called my room 5 times.

I got charged for the parking fee $25/day even though we didn't even have a car, so i requested a refund.

I inform a staff that customer should be informed about parking. So they will have a chance to plan ahead. Especially if they call 1 hour before to ensure everything is in order. She informed me that it was on the website. I asked her if it's on the website, then staff should be fully knowledgeable. And should inform their guest especially when inquiring about parking again, the attitude and horrible customer service. I would not recommend my co-workers friends, our family. They have too many options in this area to settle For unhappy employees. to deal with ignorance? horrible customer service

The room was extremely clean and the stay responded quickly to our need for more towels and to fix the microwave

This is one of my favorite hotels to stay at. It’s very family oriented and very quiet. I love the area and the prices are affordable

The best thing about this hotel is the location. There was a horrible smell radiating from the bathroom sink. When we first walked into the room, the smell hit us hard. Thank goodness there was a window in the bedroom that opened up to air it out. But we had to make sure that we kept the bathroom door closed throughout our trip so that it wouldn’t smell up the room. Another unfortunate thing is that there’s no coffee inside the room. They have coffee in the lobby that doesn’t become available until 7 AM. That was extremely inconvenient for us. We are early risers. We wake up around five or six. Also where we live we’re an hour ahead of California. So our natural alarm clock was waking us up very early. And having to wait until 7 o’clock to go get coffee just didn’t make any sense. It’s not like there wasn’t somebody in the lobby working. So I don’t understand why they couldn’t just turn it on. There’s another hotel down the road called Humphries. We ate dinner there one night and that is where we’ll be staying the next time we plan a trip to San Diego.

I stayed one night the room was clean everything worked I had no complaints at all and a beautiful view of the harbor. I did not pay extra for the beautiful view but it appears most all rooms have a nice view of either the harbor or the boats that are moored depending on which direction you're facing

I was lied to several times about a charge and when i reached out to ask about it I was treated rudely and the person didn't give a damn about me.I will never stay there again!

Room very clean. Great location. Front desk was out of pool towels frequently. We had a small leak in our ceiling the one night it rained. Informed the front desk.

Room was great staff was very nice

The room was not up to date, the bed was tough, the buildings are far spread. The doors are heavy and you can hear every door slam. The property was not as nice as I had hoped for. The restaurant had tvs for football games but as we walked in the tvs were not working and it said to pay your bill please contact us. Football playoff weekend and no tv?

Rooms were ok. Bed no comfortable, asked questions on booking didnt listen to what I had to say expect for you booked 3rd party so we cant help you. The doors in the hotel are heavy and slam every few minutes. It was the luxury or niceness I thought I was going to have per the reviews on website. Late check out because my husband was sick walked into our room at least 3 times before 12.

Both sinks in bathroom wouldn’t drain, the toilet sounded like a vacuum when you flushed it. The phone kept ringing non stop everyday and when you answered it, no one was there. They stopped their coffee machine at 10am in the lobby. The worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, will NEVER stay there again and will not recommend that hotel to anyone.

We have been staying in your resort for the last 8 years! We always have a great time! I love that you upgraded your tv to a smart tv! Thank you! Now I wish your beds would be upgrade along with pillows and comforters! Other than that! It’s always nice to be back and staff are always very helpful and friendly! Thank you!

Loved how big these rooms were! Little kitchenette. The bathrooms had beautiful tiles. Lots of counter space. Beds were very comfortable, and loved the height on them. Each room had theor own balcony with great views!

Room was in good condition but the shutters on the windows while they look nice, let in a lot of light at night, so it was hard for me to sleep. Also it was loud when people came in/out of the building when the door was closing.

Clean room, good staff

Our first room was in a hidey whole, small window, frig didn’t work, NO COFFEE TEA MAKER, too small for 2 queen beds. They were great about getting us another room but it was even more crowded with the door hitting the bed. We had to try to move it to open door. The bathroom was huge but no where to hang anything. We rolled the office chair into the bathroom to hang our towels on, plus clothes. We used to love this place but it really was disappointing.

Amazing place to reset. The restaurant there is absolutely amazingly. We stay here just to go. And we live here in San Diego.

We have stayed at this property several times as it is conenient distance to all of the things we like to do: San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Little Italy, Seaport Village, USS Midway, Liberty Station, Balboa Park and easy access to the freeway for Coronado. We have two tweens and they loved the pool/ hot tub. The food at the Blue Wave Grill was really good! We had dinner there. We went elsewhere for breakfast just because of our plans for the day. Our room was clean and was perfect for us.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Island Palms. The staff checked us in within minutes and were quite pleasant. We loved the room and enjoyed looking out over the marina. The bed was cozy and pillows were great. The room was clean and nicely appointed. Thank you!

We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to our room. That was wonderful. We enjoyed the view the restaurant in the hot tub. I hope to make another stay at Island Palms best Western.

We love this property and while it could use a refresh it fits our family in terms of space and is quiet and peaceful.

Check in was a little rocky-we showed up about an hour early, so we understood when told our room wasn't ready. Desk clerk took our phone number and said they would call when room was ready. We never got a call, so we called. Whoever answered said that was weird and they didn't take a number like that to contact. I went back to front desk, waited in line, finally got room keys. Then directions and map to get to room/building were not very clear. Letters on buildings hard to find, map and marking desk clerk made to get to room made it look like we drove to very end. We did and that was way too far. Then asked passing worker in golf cart and she directed us to wrong building. So it seemed unnecessarily challenging to just check in and find room. After that all staff and facilities were really great. Walls are thin, so you can easily hear occupants in adjacent rooms.

We had a great stay here! Quiet and nice to have a morning walk by the marina. We told them we were celebrating our engagement and they left us a sweet surprise in our room. The staff was exceptional and happily helped with anything you needed. Gym is small with minimal equipment. Both pools are in great condition with comfortable chairs which was an added bonus. Rooms and bathroom were very clean and comfortable!

Great place to go fishing and hang out by the pool and paddle board in the bay. We go here every year.

Room was better last time, but we enjoy this spot for location and convenience. This is a fabulous location for dining and marina vibes.

The pool is a nice size and clean. The bathrooms need to be updated, especially the toilets, which are very low

Upon entering the room there was a very strong musty smell. The A/C was on and i believe the mustyness was a dirty filter or A/C was too old and should be replaced. The refrigerator had ice build up on the door shelf and bottom shelf. The refrigerator was behind a cabinet door which was broken. The carpet was dirty and damp. Will not stay here again. Blue Wave and Grill food was very good and reasonable prices.

The pool was great and the staff was extremely nice and accommodating.

We love staying here. This last time I was a little disappointed that our room had no coffee maker. There were also no chairs on our patio. We’ll be back though. Everyone has an off day so we’ll chalk it up to that!

Restaurant is amazing!

This filthy mattress was in my room when I checked in. It smelt like mildew and mold. They moved me to a new room, but this place is old. It use to be a gem. They need to renovate. I’m done with Best Western Plus.

This hotel is so well-reviewed, and with very good reason! It provides the resort feel of other properties nearby, right on the marina, at a significantly lower cost! I absolutely loved it and will make a point to stay there again!

Clean and very friendly

My room was right next to an exterior door. That door did not shut. It wouldn’t latch. Anyone could enter without a key card.

Only issues was the coffee machine in common area wasn’t set up til 7am! There was no coffee maker in the room. However they offered to put one in our room since we like coffee when we wake up early. The other is the toilet kept running. The handle had to be shakes for a while after using it.

2nd time staying here, love everything absolutely worth the stay. Kids enjoyed the island.

Room was nice had our own patio, everything was clean. Property all together was nice they had a coffee machine near our room which was nice. Only little complaint was our room was next to the exit so we can hear the door and other doors slam once people where leaving. We did hear the neighbors above walking around but not enough for to switch rooms. Besides that I would definitely go back and stay on property again

Alexander at the front desk offers the highest level of customer service, not just this visit but every visit. We stay here at least 3 days, 3 times a year. It’s our happy place. Great pools for kids, restaurant ease of ordering by the pool. It’s our fave spot in SD. Alexander greets me every time with a smile & welcome back. Makes me feel at home, our home away from home,

Nice location with a good restaurant for easy dining options

My family and I usually stay here when we come down to San Diego for our vacations. We love the fact that you can walk to the local coffee, shops and dying at some of the nearby restaurants. Service is always great and our room is most of the time up to par. It was just a few little things that were missing and needed during this day like extra towels for our guests and the air conditioning units were really loud. But other than that, it was a great day and we had a great time and we enjoyed our visit. We loved that the beach is right across the street. Well, I should say the water And the view is spectacular.

Negatives: No coffee machine or mini fridge in room.

I paid for a view room and I had a view of a hot tub.

Lovely marina view with garden setting and chairs to relax in. Good food and food choices and preportions on breakfast menu. Great marina views in bar and restaurant area. The air conditioner worked well but the noise was too loud for sleeping, however, mostly the weather is such that you dont need it.

The staff was great-our TV in our room continually had issues working and when called, maintenance arrived within minutes and fixed it quickly. The pool and hot tub area was clean, had plenty of seating and was larger than expected. Right across the street there was a small beach you could go to along with plenty of walking paths. I was very impressed with the quality of my stay given that it wasn’t the most expensive property out there.

I was back and forth about staying at this property, but very glad we did. The location is perfect, our room was large, kids loved the pools, staff was friendly, room was in decent condition, restaurant served good food. The facility could use some updating and furniture in the room could use a deep cleaning, but nothing so bad I got an ick or wouldn't return.

The place was very unsanitary. It is in a quiet convenient place depending on where you are visiting. The carpet in the room was tirning our feet black just walking from the bathroom to the bed right after showering which was disgusting. It is very expensive to not have top tier cleanliness. The staff are not very helpful or kind. The pool *salt-water) and hot tub were nice. I would give it a 4 out of 10. Not the best experience for sure.

liked the close walk to Silver Gate Yacht Club where my so has his boat docked. And loved the view of the marina. and close walk to the beach/bay side. We had a nice quiet room. Especially liked that we couldn't hear other neighbors . Blue Wave grill had delicious food.

The island is a breath of fresh beautiful air, away from hustle and bustle. Wonderful old school hotel feel. The way things use to be with all the extra beauty. When I say extra I mean it. It has all the little things. From the lobby to the marina and the architecture is great!!! Polynesian theme. coffee in the morning. Great pools! It feels so safe there. Best kept secret! I suggest the marina side. Life is too short to look at the parking lot even though a beautiful ocean is there on the other side.

Property is beautiful, love all the plants around it. Spa is a wonderful place to relax at the end of a busy day exploring San Diego.

Fairly nice location close to airport and downtown. Room was fairly clean and comfortable. Drain was slow in shower and maybe thin walls as we had to call hotel staff twice to get it quite in the room next to us.

We’ve stayed at the BW Island Palms on Shelter Island many times before while visiting San Diego. We choose this hotel for its unique marina view, ease of getting to different areas of SD, coastal island charm, beautiful grounds (pool is great!) and friendliness of hotel staff. This time, I didn’t find our visit as easy going as past visits. We booked a suite for 3 days, which lacked basic amenities, extra bedding for the pull out bed, almost all decaf coffees, no towels to dry dishes, no dish soap (we had to get our own). When we asked guest services, it took multiple calls and an extended period of time to fill some requests (ie, getting the bedding). Also our room had some issues upon check in… broken balcony chairs, plugged bathroom sink and a safe that didn’t work. All of the items listed were fixed when brought up to guest services. But it would have been nice to just enjoy the facilities and our vacation without having to get our room to a standard where it should have already been upon arrival. I would stay here again and hope this was only a one off occurrence, as we do really like it here.

I love this hotel! The manager and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful! The room was amazing and the beds were so comfortable - I highly recommend this hotel and we will be coming back! Thanks to the manager for helping us adjust our bike seats and making our stay truly wonderful!

Think we overpaid by booking a long way in advance, rooms were much cheaper nearer the time but unfortunately our booking was non-refundable.

The acoustics were terrible. The noise from the unit above went on all night until 5:30 am. Hotel management did nothing about it.

Lovely week spent at this property! Daily housekeeping was a rare treat these days. The suite was spacious and well equipped. We used the resort’s pool and tennis court as well as the restaurant and everything was great. Great place for quiet walks along the water away from the bustle of beach areas.

Afordable with great amenities. Liked the hot tub/pool. There is free coffee near reception. Easy parking. Maybe could use some updating with the carpet. But we enjoyed our stay!

I traveled with two teens and an 8-year old. We were very comfortable, felt safe, and had a great time. The hotel was clean and all staff were friendly and kind. The two pools were well maintained and great for our stay. I also enjoyed this area of San Diego as it is close to the airport, beaches, restaurants, and the zoo. It has nice boardwalk across the street and it was fun to see many boats.

The location, marina view was great. The room was very clean and the water was hot. We had very good service and hospitable staff. We would have preferred that parking and breakfast were included for no charge.

Overall it was a great experience as always. However, I will point out that the shower was out of body wash the entire time my partner and I were there. We forgot to bring it up to the cleaning people, but I believe they should check regardless.

My only complaint is the bed was WAY to firm for me

As soon as I approached the front desk when I arrived I received a warm greeting from “Clinton” at the front desk. He instantly made me feel welcomed and check in was a breeze. We had a handicapped accessible room and it was conveniently located by the business area where there was an area to go to where you could sit and relax or get some work done on a computer. The fitness room was right there also. Our room overlooked the marina and the smaller pool and jacuzzi (there is a larger main pool closer to the lobby) but all we had to do was exit the back door and the entrance to the glass enclosed pool and jacuzzi were a few steps from our back door. It was very convenient and relaxing as there was patio furniture set up like an outdoor living room at each end with a couch and chairs. There was even a fire place for a cozy evening out by the pool if it got chilly. I was pleasantly surprised that they even provided towels for your use (just drop them in the dirty towel bin before you leave). I walked over to the main pool and saw that they had a grassy backyard looking area where you could play corn hole! The main pool area was beautiful. They have complimentary bikes, tennis and pickle ball courts too! I was pleasantly surprised by ALL of the amenities that were available! I live and work in Las Vegas so I’m a little spoiled but my stay here was top notch! This property is CLEAN and well maintained…on a scale of 1-10, I rate this property a 10. I’ll be back!!

They had the housekeeping department spray something, and we left the window and door open as much as possible. It was OK for our second night. Since they have two pools, it would be really nice if one of them was adult only. The room air conditioner was ridiculously loud. Better bring earplugs. Still if the price is right I would go back due to the location.

22nd anniversary trip did not disappoint. Wonderful room, quiet water view hotel restaurant barn was very nice good food and live entertainment.

The corridors, elevators and room all had a bad odor. Dingy, cigarette smell in our “non-smoking” room
