Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Airport

The main issue is the lack of clarity on how to use the shuttle. The hotel did not make it clear that the shuttle does not make regular trips to the airport unless requested by phone from an airport kiosk. We ended up waiting at the airport after a long flight, with no shuttle to the Courtyard in San Bruno ever showing up. We ended up taking another Courtyard shuttle to the wrong Courtyard (one of three in the area) and then having to take an Uber to the right one. This was made clear to us verbally once at the hotel. Upon our return in a state of tiredness we made the request for the shuttle by calling from the help desk at the terminal, about a two minute walk away from the actual pickup area where the phone to call the hotel for the shuttle is located. Apparently this is not good enough, and we are required to walk the 2 min to the location and call from there. When after an 8 hr overnight flight I mentioned that this is unnecessary and inconvenient I was put on hold, to think about my lack of cooperation, until we relented and called from the required location and phone. So to summarize: The shuttle will not pick you up unless and until you call from the exact location specified. If you approach this in any other way, you will be put on hold indefinitely until you smarten up and do as you are told. The management of this hotel should post this statement prominently when you make your reservation.

Everything was great. I highly recommend the staff be more informed about the breakfast they offer. It was difficult to understand what you get in the food with your purchase. Also, the ice machine is on the bottom floor and was broken so had to get ice at the coffee bar.

Staff need to be trained in how to deal with difficult situations, I was able to express my concerns with management and they act very kind and accepted my suggestions, as an apology we received a complementary breakfast and parking.

Expedia said 150 dollars taxes etc included, when I went for the shuttle bus it never came after an hour I took an uber. When I called they said it will be later as they needed gas , that’s when I called Uber

The room was clean but the bed was old and sagged in the middle. Also, not for light sleepers. You are right in the take-off path from SFO!

I thought the property was very clean! And quiet. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant is not very good but they do serve late. THE IS NO POOL. The pool and jacuzzi were turned into a meeting room. I booked the property after seeing images of the pool and was disappointed. Very close to the airport with a free shuttle. Walking distance to the small downtown area with some shops and restaurants. NO POOL!!

Yes, the room was spotless. There is a problem with the drain in the shower. It backs up. You may need to put a snake down there to clear it out. Otherwise I had a very good stay.

The airport shuttle didn’t run until 5 pm and I arrived at 345. It was very inconvenient sitting outside in the cold. On the other hand, I missed the shuttle that was going TO the airport and a staff member took me in their other van. I appreciated that!

Room was clean. Bed was fine. Heater/air-conditioner worked fine. Shower fine, but no tub. Charging ports on both sides of the bed. Nightstand ok. Quiet, despite being next to parking lot.

I have stayed here before. It has a small cafe/bistro area to get food so that if you do not wish to go out to restaurant, it makes it convenient! They also have a shuttle for airport service. It’s a clean and quiet place!

The hotel reply to my enquiring about shuttle. They did not notify me until I was in transit. Luckily I had a phone that worked in the U.S., otherwise a taxi.

No problems with wi-fi, comfortable room. Entry on booking.com didn't mention the $20 fee for parking in the motel's lot. I expected to pay a rather high price for accommodations near San Francisco and SFO; but I wanted to know about the charges up front, and not be hit with unexpected fees after I'd committed to the place. I won't stay here again—what if it's fifty bucks next time?

I have stayed at Embassy Suites all over the US and I have never stayed at anything that old! I realize it’s a historical building but maybe make it more apparent that you’re going to be staying in an old building. I had no hot water for my shower even!!

Probably it wouldn’t affect others from more urban areas as much. Water was hot, room temperature comfortable, bed and sheets súper and I didn’t feel cramped in the room. One of the few hotels that have a scheduled free shuttle at 2:30 am with about 10 min to arrive at SFO so I am happy. Overall excellent experience.

Lobby sells frozen dinners and snacks. Rooms have microwaves and fridges. There is a restaurant nearby for fresh meals.

I have known this place for years and I’m shock how great a the facility they have, it’s quite, once inside the facilities. Staff ver pleasant and the rooms are average to greatness, amenities in the room very adequate upon your needs and request such disposal utensil if needed. Great lobby to hang out or in their courtyard right in the center of the facility.

The hotel itself is nice. The room was clean. Yes, you can hear airplanes due to location but it wasn't too loud. My only complaint about the room is that the beds are extremely uncomfortable. They are very bouncy so you can feel every movement. Also I could feel the bed springs through the mattress.

The hotel property is conveniently located near SFO and has 24 hr shuttle service making it ideal for stopover travel. The hotel has a chiq little bistro and nice courtyard. I downgraded the rating however based on the location of the hotel in the flight path of noisy planes and the insulation isn't that great between walls making it noisy.

Very nice and confortable. Very clean. I really enjoyed my stay. And just to put it out there there is no swimming pool. I say this because in the amenities it says there is a pool. I think you should update the amenities.

Check in was easy, room was clean and comfortable. Service for breakfast was less than optimal. I was the only person at the counter, yet, the staff person helping me was barking about what I could and could not order as part of the pre-paid plan. Unnecessarily rushing the process along. At checkout, the front desk was unattended.

It was okay other than finding a used band-aid in the bed I slept in. Tells me that maybe the sheets were not changed before my stay. Also found a piece of molding on floor when we walked in.

The parking lot was pretty full and it cost $15 a night to park. The room was clean and well stocked. The bed was super comfortable. There’s also a love seat. The balcony is small but it was a nice feature. The airport is close by so we did hear some airplanes overhead but not any noise from the freeway. Overall, it was a nice stay and the staff members we encountered were polite and helpful.

It is near SFO airport so you can hear the airplanes going by. They knew that when they built this hotel so they should have provided better sound insulation.

When I finally made it there, starting at 5am I had a chance to carefully study the flight schedules at SFO. There is no insulation whatsoever. Planes were landing in my bed. Do NOT go there!

We did not find out until we arrived that there was no restaurant or bar open at the facility which is one of the reasons we booked here. Also there is no microwave in the room.

It was a very nice hotel. My flight got in at midnight and the car rental agency didn’t open until the next morning. Courtyard has a 24 hour shuttle which picked me right up and took me to the hotel quickly. The rooms were spacious and the employees welcoming. I would recommend staying here to my friends and family.

Great stay before and after a trip north of San Francisco. Friendly shuttle service even at 3:30am on our departure day. Beds and rooms were clean and comfy. Plane noises but didn’t keep us from sleeping. Would definitely stay here again for early departures and late arrivals from SFO.

I booked a room with a king size bed. Instead I got a room with 2 queen beds. I checked in pretty late so I didn't bother to go back and change.

However, we arrived on a Saturday at 6:00 PM after travelling for most of the day, and the restaurant was not open on Saturdays. I did not see that information on the website. Only 1 other restaurant close to hotel. It was extremely busy and dirty looking. As well, hostess was very unfriendly and not too interested in getting us a table.

The area was clean and not crowded. The staff were great. Food quality could be improved vs other International airports.
