Travelodge by Wyndham San Antonio Downtown Northeast

We have been booking this hotel for the past 4 years. It serves its purpose for stay a few days. Needs to be updated but still is ok to stay at. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Convenient to alot of facilities.

Very helpful staff, but site advertises airport shuttle and this location does not have a shuttle. Plenty of onsite parking, room smelled like cigs, if you are on a VERY tight budget like I was this day then go for it. It’s 11 min from the airport

Editing to add that theres soft spots in the floors and that the cops had to be called by another guest because someone down the hall was screaming for hours like she was being killed. (Not sure what actually happened but I think she was fine) The Wi-Fi didnt work, the air conditioner was on its last leg and horribly loud, we had no coffee pot in our room specifically, the ice machine was broken, the floor was sticky, the breakfast was pitiful, etc. Basically, just dont book here. The pictures i added just dont even begin to show how bad it really was

We stayed here with family and had a pleasant experience. There was a minor delay with the air conditioning, but it was resolved shortly. The outside pool area was pleasant to relax in. The rooms were sufficient in size and appeared to be clean throughout our stay.

Hot, stinky, rude staff, over-priced, and ghetto. Super loud as well. Only good thing I can say is that the bed was comfy and it was relatively close to where I needed to go. Oh and the road and parking lot flood when it rains and get closed off. I was charged before we arrived even though I picked the pay at hotel option. I was also charged a $100 deposit which wasn’t disclosed to us beforehand. The room was supposed to be a suite with a sofa bed but was not. The first room they had us in reeked of cigarette smoke but the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. We were moved to another room. This room smelled better but was in terrible shape. The entire hotel was run down and needed a deep clean. The ice machine was broken. The only breakfast available was juice. There was what appeared to be black mold on the walls. The bathroom door didnt close properly. Water pressure was very low. We asked for towels and they weren’t brought until we left. The mattress had cigarette burns. We were very disappointed in our stay and for the price we just expected better. There were stray cats everywhere and near the pool. The side door was broken to enter the hotel as well.

The stay was ok. Would not stay there again. Property was not in the best conditions. Pictures showing in expedia shows a nicer hotel. Rooms were clean overall.

The hotel had a smell and was warm. The AC never really cooled down the room. Poor job with cleaning the fridge had a box of fries chicken left over so that wasn’t taken care of. WiFi wouldn’t connect. Just would not choose this hotel again.

I was informed that I needed to pay 100 dollars more as a deposit and that I will get it back. As of right now I haven't received that money back.

We switched 3 rooms in the beginning of our stay, the first 216 smelled like marijuana definitely didn’t want to sleep smelling it all night long, 208 the bed was nasty and traces of bed bugs, 206 last room the dresser was broken and hole in closet from the safe being ripped off at one point, the only good about this place was staff being nice especially the housekeeper, owners/management should make sure beds aren’t nasty encase them if they don’t want bed bugs and stains, carpet clean the room every so often would help with those who smoke pot & break the rules for a non smoking hotel because the smell lingers in on everything, had I been able to get my refund and book elsewhere I would have

Parking lot is small (had for two cars to drive at once) and was hard to find the entrance. The room when I got in was very hot and the door was ver hard to close.

There was no breakfast.It advertised on their screen at the front desk that there was a grab and go breakfast there was nothing.It was 8:30am and they were out of coffee and had no plans of making more.The beds were soo uncomfortable.The staff was friendly and the room was clean.

Nothing The room was fair the a/c was leaking water on the carpet one tv had a black line as if it were broken the door was hard to close the door its self was broken holes everywhere and patched up wrongly those whole time we stayed with smelled like weed day and night the say no pets yet people had pets

We booked two rooms. There was hair in both bathrooms, fingernail clippings in one room, hair on the blankets, food on the stairs for all 3 days, the hotel and rooms smelled like urine and mold, the towels were dirty, there were bugs. We were advised there would be breakfast and there was not either morning

When the room was booked the details said slept six (family of five) but got there and only two beds. No roll away, no couch. Asked front desk if had roll away or cot and was told “no”. Bed linens and towels had yellow and rust (blood) colored stains. The roller chair in the room had white powdery substance on the seat. The smoke detector had a paper towel wrapped around it with duct tape. The entery overhead light was burned out. Additional lamps were missing light bulbs. The remote to the TV was missing batteries. Had to make a Walmart run to purchase a blowup bed, towels/washclothes, batteries for the remote, pillow cases, extra linens for the extra bed. The pictures of the property looked fine but please don’t be fooled by them. This place is not family friendly and was just nasty. We were scheduled to stay three nights but checked out after the first night and now I have to see why I was charged an extra $100 for the deposit.

In all of my traveling this is one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we got in the room, we spent over an hour cleaning the AC, bathroom, and the room. It was absolutely filthy. We were suppose to have 1 young person stay with us but unable to because there was no bedding available for the pull out couch. The only reason we even stayed one night because we were down for a competition. Breakfast was a complete joke. A bag was given with a bar in it. The next day, there were 4 or 5 families that left the hotel and forfeit an evening. We all drove home over 4 hours and arrived home around 2;00am because we refused to spend another night there. Also in my room our room the dead bolt would not lock. The staff literally did not seem concerned, The pictures that are being posted from this hotel are not what represented any of the rooms that the 5 families received.

Slow internet, pool was closed, Ice machine broke, dryer was broke, only one Tv worked didn’t have a remote, bed was uncomfortable, bath tube was dirty had to shower in slides, bath tube stopper didn’t work, lady at the front desk told me I couldn’t cook with my electric pan because it was a none smoking hotel, house keeping never check to see if we needed anything the four days we where there didn’t offer to clean the room or take the trash.

The room was cold when we walked in. The pool was green and out of service. There was no breakfast although the ad said there was. The beds were really uncomfortable. I had reserved 2 queen sized beds and we got full sized. They were too small. There was a strong foul odor and there was a cup taped to the smoke sensor on the ceiling.

The hotel was beyond dirty, sticky carpet, remotes werent even for the right tvs, duct taped smoke detectors. We ended up checking out and driving home early because it was so bad. 10 for 10 do not recommend.

DO NOT BOOK HERE if you are traveling with your family to San Antonio!!!! I had the worst experience here this place is a complete SCAM!!! Refused to give me a refund after telling staff that me and my family could not stay here due to feeling unsafe and the rooms were absolutely disgusting they’re were feces in the bathrooms stains on the bedding and food on the floor! After showing me two more rooms they all were in the same condition! If you want to catch something book this hotel pictures are deceiving looks nothing like the pictures! If I could give negative stars I would!!! I will be contacting BBB and corporate this place needs to be investigated would not do the right thing and refund me after refusing to stay there had to book another hotel

Noise pass through all the rooms, no coffe any time, or breakfast, no ice, doors were not sealed and during my stay I just hope nothing happened to my truck. I didn’t feels safe at all.

Air conditioner was louder than a train, rug was stained everywhere , mirrors dirty, refrigerator was old and not adjustable the nob was broken off had to change rooms at check in . The odor of marijuana was everywhere, coffe machine only let out slightly brown water that didn’t taste like coffee.

The beds were comfortable, that is about the extent of what we liked about the room. The cleanliness, there was food on the wall from previous renters. From my understanding there were only 2 ladies who clean all the rooms on a daily and the owner will not hire anymore help. I know they had 120 rooms to do before 3pm on the day we checked out. The bathtubs had mold around the edges, the water was not hot, maybe luke warm but not hot at all. The breakfast was a joke. Had some granola type bars and some of the ones we were given were expired, and then there was some go-gerts, not a breakfast at all in my opinion. The pool was out of order, which was fine cause we didn't plan on swimming anyways, but it had a green tent to it. Was nasty to even look at. When we went to check out, they had to do a room check for our deposit back. The owner got on the walkie talkie 3 times yelling at the cleaning ladies who were upstairs to hurry and do a room check on bottom floor, when he could have easily walked down to the room himself. just very rude and unprofessional to his employees.

Since we were driving around the area, free parking made things simple for us. We never had to worry about additional fees and were always able to find a spot near our room.

Also would be nice if they had vending machines I came with supplies to save money but when running out their were no soda machines or chips snacks and amenities are really far away if you don't have a car even if your buss bound. Location was a bit of a walk from bus stop. I did not like the fact that there were no convenience store nearby.

The only downside is that the hotel could use more maintenance, especially with things like paint and doors. With some updates, this place would be even better. Overall, for the price, it was a good experience.

A pleasant surprise was the outdoor pool! It was refreshing after a long day of exploring, but I wasn't prepared for it. There were lots of chairs to unwind in, and the pool area was spotless.

I stayed here for a brief business trip, and the airport shuttle service was very helpful. My flight was very easy to get to and from, and the front desk staff was very helpful when I needed directions around the city.

I was expecting delays or problems because I checked in fairly late at night, but everything went without any issues. The room I was given was quiet and serene because it was on the upper floor and away from the road. That was greatly appreciated after a lengthy drive.

The ease with which it was possible to enter and exit the freeway from this hotel was noteworthy. It made traveling around San Antonio easy. I truly appreciated the staff's friendliness and speedy check-in after a lengthy drive.

This property was one of the worst experiences I've had with hotels. It was dirty the bed covers were stained. Our room had a sofa bed, the mattress was so old and uncomfortable. I had to go get the sheets and pillows for it. Oh and she made me got with her all the way back to the laundy room so i could get what i needed. Also no sheets for the bed just some floral thin cover. This was a horrible stay. I am glad we were only staying 1 night.

Cons: No waffle breakfast as seen in pictures. Just get a brown paper bag. Like the ones they used to give out at school. And you have to ask for it. Cleanliness pretty nasty. When walking with croc sandles I could feel the carpet stick and peel from the sole of them. No a/c in the hallways. The pool was dirty and not clean.

She gave me a room that had blood or something on the mattress so I asked for a refund it she said she could only change my room so I looked at several seems no one else stays there. The toilet seats on a couple of them were wobbly and the beds were in bad worn out condition. I found on what was decent but I will NEVER stay there again. There was no breakfast as was in the listing. No one to even see to ask for assistance. Seemed desolate. If my son wasn't with me it would be quite frightening. The staff was nice when I did see them they gave me new towels and asked if I needed anything else. But the condition of this hotel is horrible.

I’ve stayed in some seedy places but this was up there. Shady things going on all night long. Check in behind a screen with telephone numbers for “good times”. Holes in walls throughout. Mold everywhere. Not a vacuumed carpet. Lumpiest of beds. Hot water for tea? Forget about it. Total tear down

It was obvious the carpet had not been vacuumed as there was food on the floor in several areas of the room. Also we were very disappointed when we walked in and saw there were only 3 tiny HALF size pillows on the bed. When we asked for more, they said they didn’t have any more. It was obvious the carpet had not been vacuumed as there was food on the floor in several areas of the room. Also we were very disappointed when we walked in and saw there were only 3 tiny HALF size pillows on the bed. When we asked for more, they said they didn’t have any more. I think the only people in that hotel that were kind were the 2 cleaning ladies I would see in the morning. Cheap price so you will get what you pay for. I do have videos of roaches and the way the place was it’s not meant for a family with children.

The beds felt like we were laying ok springs not a matress. The room waa stuffy and hot. The description of the room states breakfast. Yeah not eve. Cereal and milk was out. Sheets looked like they had not been waahed, we had towels for 1 day they were not replaced the next day. Most definitely would not stay at this hotel again!!!!

They would not concede to a refund so I had to shower at my relatives. The final night they had zero towels for my husband to shower. The hotel is in a remote area and not very safe. I felt like like I was in the movie the Hills Have Eyes. Don’t do it!

I always use this motel it’s always great service but yesterday they lady hardly was at the front I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come up check me in then another 10 when I went back to get some sheets

Do NOT recommend. This was the filthiest motel I’ve ever stayed at and that’s no exaggeration. The room was smelly, there were stains on the sheets and mattress's. There’s no telling when the last time the room was vacuumed as there was wads of hair on the floor debris and I think a hearing aid. The second bed had pieces of metal sticking out from the side, very unsafe. The phone was busted up and the outlets didn’t work on the table and there was dirt inside of them and the stench was so strong that I couldn’t fall asleep. I had driven 11 hours and initially I was too tired to even bother saying anything. A few hours passed without sleep so I asked to change rooms. The staff reluctantly switched my room, but only after I proved to them what the issues were, which I had to explain that multiple times. The second room was just clean enough for me to sleep and not smell any super foul odors as I did from the other room. I also had to make a $100 refundable deposit! Ridiculous! I took videos of both rooms just in case anyone tried to charge me for the conditions of the rooms. I was told that I would be refunded based on my bank. The morning staff was very short with me and did not have any manners. The photos of this place are deceiving, and I truly believe that any positive reviews were done to save face because this place is not “excellent” by any definition. I will not be back.

This property was wild unclean and run down. I didn’t expect it to be the ritz, but there were holes in the floor that we had to avoid tripping into. Roaches in the bathroom. Rude front desk staff. And I had to BEG housekeeping more than once for more toilet paper. They never took out our trash or brought us replacement towels either. Overall, very poor experience.

The pictures on previews reviews are deceiving. Place is old and doesn’t look as portrayed. Smells bad. We were only staying for a night so it was good enough. Would not recommend for more than that.

The pictures must be very old. The front desk is boxed in behind glass (not in a nice way). The room is dirty. Smells like smoke. Mold in the bathroom. Trash on the floor. Stained and uneven floors. There’s supposed to be grab and go breakfast and there is nothing. Extremely unsatisfied.

The property is in a dim lit area. The room in which I stayed was caked with dust build up behind all the nightstands and Tv's. The bathtub drain was missing the drain stopper, there was a big hole making it uncomfortable for my mother to take a shower. We booked for 2 nights and only stayed one. I've stayed at different Travelodge properties before and this is the worst by far. Made a booking at the Hyatt Place Riverwalk.

Throughout the last 4 years, I have stayed in several economical and high-priced hotels. I have to admit that Travelodge by Wyndham has been the best hotel that I have stayed at for the price. I selected a suite for low price of $75 which included taxes. The walls were sound proof and it felt as if we were the only ones in the hotel that night. We had a view of downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone for the price. I have paid $75 for a regular room at a lower end hotel. I felt secure and with rooms inside the hotel corridors.

It was below average, there was mold in the restroom above the shower, the door to the restroom would wedge against the floor, dirty ironing board, a broken dresser drawer upon arrival just to name a few things

The room was an unsafe disaster for my family and I had to put up with it because it was all could afford but that doesn’t disregard the safety conditions that were obvious. Missing smoke detectors, mold I the restroom, broken drawer. Not functioning lamps. The room has gotten to be the worst I’ve seen.

The size of the room was amazing, i did not like that they were trying to charge me the day before my reservation and then at the time of check in. When we got in there was a dead spider on the bed and apple seeds on the couch. The room smelt really musty. There is only 1 ice machine and it did not work. Overall I probably would not stay there again.

There site says Continental breakfast but is nothing more than a brown paper sack with an apple and a Gogurt. Room very dirty!!! Shower did not drain. Towels in bathroom dirty went to ask for more and was told have to wait till morning can't get any tonight. Beds was like sleeping on springs old and worn out. It's was 115 degrees outside came in to buy some water or any drinks and every shelf empty. Pics on there site must have been took when it just opened because it's not that way now. Trying to upload pictures I took but won't allow me to do so. Sleep in your car you will get more rest. I had a 3 night stay and left after the first night. They will not refund my money for the other 2 nights. Very poor customer service.

They threw our trash which had a ring in it but supposedly had no record of servicing the room. Then, for the free breakfast, they had juice. That was it.

The pictures online are not accurate. The room was disgusting could not walk on the carpet it was so dirty. The lobby looks completely different from the pictures. There was homeless people all around the area.

We liked the pool and friendly environment. The only two ‘issues’ that were noticeable to us were cleanliness and some outlets not working. The AC was VERY dirty and looked like it was never wiped down. There was also light mold on the bathroom ceiling. There is no breakfast but considering the price, you get what you paid for.

I did not had any room service and I wasn’t given any extra towels and I ask for them plus trash can was really small I thought room was being clean as I was out but no.

They cancelled my reservation and didnt give notice. Reservation was promised to pay upon arrival but when I arrived, it was cancelled. They had two rooms, more expensive, room wasnt cleaned, carpet was full of dirt and broken things. Nothing on vending machines and the receptionist gave us wrong information, confusing us about where our rooms were.

We had a really good stay. The rooms are falling apart but it is a pretty old hotel. There was a hole in the wall by the ac and screws everywhere but for a really old hotel i dont have any complaints. Pool was nice for my kiddos too. The office staff was very nice and attenative. You do need 100 deposit once you arrive but if you read everything online before you book it does say you will need a deposit. If you want it back faster bring cash for your deposit. We will be back here again for a quick trip :-)

I had a seamless check-in experience at the 24-hour reception of this hotel. After exploring San Antonio, they were the ideal place to unwind because they were cozy and spotless.

I had a great surprise when I stayed at this hotel for a quick weekend trip! A microwave was provided in the room, which was useful for warming up snacks. I enjoyed the soundproof rooms, which allowed me a restful night's sleep.

Sparkling clean room, friendly staff, and free parking. What more could you ask for?

The refrigerator and microwave didn’t work even after we told staff who supposedly said the refrigerator was “off”. They turned it back on and it still didn’t work. They didn’t seem to worry about the microwave but my kids did because they wanted popcorn. The A/C wasn’t working properly either. You could hear water leaking and the noise was really ridiculously loud. The bathroom and entrance to the “suite” smelled like vomit, the sofa bed was the worst! I would not recommend staying here nor would I stay again.

Needed help late at night, and the 24/7 front desk staff was fantastic! Resolved my issue quickly with a smile.

When I first got to my room I noticed that my door frame was ripping off like someone had previously tried to break into the hotel room I was staying in before me. I asked for a room change and the doorframe did not line up with the door in the second room that they offered me. It wouldn't even lock. I had to settle with the room with the broken door frame & felt the need to barricade myself in using the coffee table to feel a bit more secure. The windows are very thin, and I had trouble sleeping because I could hear every single car that passed by. Also, the first day that I was there, I had to request new pillowcases because there was crumbs on them, strands of hair, & stains which is really disgusting and made me question if they even wash their sheets. I would rate my overall stay maybe 1.5 stars just based off of those factors. The only really helpful thing that they did was making the bed in the morning and taking the used towels. Would not reccommend going here.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of fantastic. The outdoor pool provided hours of fun and relaxation for the whole family, while the spacious family room offered plenty of space to unwind. Having our own bathroom was a convenient feature, and the included WiFi made it easy to stay connected.

Property is next a noisy freeway, the owners were not very friendly, the bathroom door in our room was so warped that it wouldn’t close, the floor felt wet and sticky all over the carpet to where I wouldn’t walk without shoes on, the bed sheets had debris on them that made me not want to sleep in them, and I ordered a room through Expedia that had 2 queens and a pull out couch bed only to find out that they don’t even offer those types of rooms at the property. The owners said that the two king beds were big enough to sleep 3 and so it shouldn’t make any difference. Not pleased and definitely wouldn’t return.

This Travelodge engages in bait-and-switch. It sold me a two bed room to sleep 6 people. They said just have 3 adults in each bed. Thank goodness that Expedia reversed the charges. Don't bother, find a reputable place to stay. It doesn't even have an elevator.

This was HORRIBLE! Roaches, dirty rooms and the young girl at the desk was rude. Full disclosure THERE IS A $100 security deposit that they don't tell you about until you arrive, you will have to fight to get that back. The girl refued to give us her name. I was also charged $98 for i dont know what i could not get anyone to answer me! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

We have stayed at this hotel before and absolutely loved it. This time around it wasn't so pleasant. There wasn't enough staff to help with the rooms. So they had to call staff from the other hotel across from ours. When we asked for something such as additional towels etc., we were told to wait on someone else. The staff or lack there of was ok. When we stayed before there was complimentary breakfast and now there's nothing. You can clearly see that the staff uses the fridge in the front for their lunch and there was no vending machines. The room was decent but if we really needed anything we would have to wait. It seems this hotel took a dip. It wasn't overly bad it just wasn't a 4 star hotel. But to want to say the staff were professional and very nice...just slow at responding.
