There were no body towels. I spilled water and used a hand towel to wipe it, the towel turned blak from the dirty floor. I arrived in the daylight (6 pm) and the door was blocked. I had to get my key through the night window. The room was disgusting!

Room was very unclean, smelled like smoke to the point it stuck to your clothes. Bath and toilet were stained and smelled. Lights flickered when they turned on. Dirt still on the carpet and the beds were rumpled like they hadn’t been washed. I didn’t even stay the night, left due to the smoke smell and filth.

I like this place because it is quiet and close to the friend I was visiting. It was clean. I could park right outside my window so I could look out and see my car. The air conditioning was very good and the unit ran the fan all the time: no disturbing starting and stopping. Hot water came in about 10 seconds. The window was very clean. The manager came as soon as I tapped on the window when I arrived and when I checked out. There is plenty of light outside but the drapes fitted nicely into the window recess at night to make the room dark. The ice machine worked well. Target was a walk away. The shower produced adequate water, but at the same time lots of water kept coming out of the faucet and into the tub. Not a problem for me - - just wasteful. No water came into the toilet bowl while the commode was refilling, so each time I would fill the bowl by gently pressing on the handle. No one came to freshen the room but I could have put the "maid" sign out if I had wanted service. I brought my own soap so the little bar of soap was not a problem. The bed was rather firm. There was plenty of drawers and a table and two chairs. It wasn't until I was leaving that I discovered the thermostat for the refrigerator -- it was at the back of the refrigerator at the top. (The fridge was freezing water in the bottom.)

There was no Lobby - we had to talk to the person through the security window. That's disrespectful. The lighting fixture wasn't working and the room was not well cleaned.

This place was exactly what we needed. We were staying 1 night before the eclipse and just needed a place to crash. The beds were clean, the room was clean and we had no complaints except for thin comforters but we just pulled the 2nd one from the other bed. They also had a mini fridge, coffee pot and microwave which is becoming an uncommon thing. Would stay here again. Be ware of their intense speed bump in the parking lot. Even going less than 1mph my poor car's frame got a jolt.

Location is nice. Not too far from Downtown or Fiesta Texas. We stayed on second floor and it creaked with every step. The bed had a spring that had sprung loose and tore through the mattress cover that poked you if you got out of bed wrong. There were cigarette burns in the mattress sheets. The toilet didn’t flush very well. Thought it was going to overflow several times. Not many free outlets to plug into. Had to unplug the lamp and clock to charge my phone and computer. The “front desk” is a foggy “night window” that is hard to see and hear through. All that aside, it served its purpose of being somewhere cheap that we could stay for the nights while we were out and about during the days. Lots of food nearby and places to drink if that’s your thing.

Good location on main road. Nearby food and drink, stores, gas. Curtains closed good had room darken shade curtain. AC worked well. I already had a semi low expectations with the hotel to begin with. Room is large but minimum furniture. Hotel is older and the rooms looked and felt older. But this is a place just to sleep. Not the most comfortable bed.

Hard working people maintaining the property during the day ???, absolutely ideal location if you’re someone who has good self control right next to wonderful shopping choices ?????, room was very clean and well stocked with necessities for the stay ??? Drug dealers everywhere ????‍??, but friendly people though for sure! Nothing or no one unsafe or caused anything ??? in my case or anything, but just be aware if that’s something that would shock or bother you or if you’re in recovery and need to avoid that situation or anything. In the rooms and around the property at night, BAM! There they are! ???? and my refrigerator kept freezing my food and I never figured out how to turn the temperature down… but eh, what are ya gonna do sometimes, ammirite? ?

Upon arriving to hotel, there were several transients in the parking lot smoking, what I do not know. Don't know when they left nor if they were told to leave. For the price paid, I expected better accommodations.

This place is horrible located in a bad area lots of people hanging out all night selling stuff to each other. The door didn’t close all the way . The lights did not work -The queen bed was a full - you will not feel safe at all - not kid friendly - will not ever stay here - I have stayed in lesser value but this place is horrible the worst yet- no Stars given

The parking lot was full of people smoking weed and drinking alcohol and being loud, not very family friendly, left without even requesting a refund because the location was just that bad, didn’t want to deal with it and booked at another hotel.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. It's an older establishment so there wasn't any extras. It was a great price compared to other options I could have stayed.

This was the absolute worse hotel ever. It should be removed as an option. It is a drug infested motel not a place one should pay to stay. Drugs were actively being sold and some when I arrived with my family, mattresses and people were outside at 2AM. The beds are like crib mattresses. People called my room at 2Am. We ended up having to pack kids back into vehicles and find another spot as this place was unsafe. The hotel manger is aware of drugs being done as sje called one of the rooms and said I've told you about this before, why is your door open...Mamager didn't know I was at the window still listening.

No blow dryer. No alarm clock. Furniture was mismatched and chair had a large stain on it. Registration was thru a bullet proof glass on a week day afternoon.

Simple affordable clean place to stay in a decent area. These motels all have the AC unit that runs all night, but other than that, it was great. Wifi worked great.

Our stay was short, a quick weekend. It was musty when we first got there but clean. We turned on the AC and used some air freshners and it helped. We had no problems with the items there and room cleaned daily-no problems there.

Like most of the reviews you get what you pay for. The Roadway is in a very good location. Staff very helpful and room was clean when i had a problem staff was there to fix it in less then 5min. Parking was a bit small but nothing happen to my car. Area very quite at night and there is always something open nearby to eat

We'd booked a single, non-smoking room. I entered a smoking, smoky room with a dirty ashtray. I closed the door and returned to the front desk to request a non-smoking room. The manager actually yelled and screamed at me to, call the man (my boss) that booked my room and tell him that he made a mistake. Call him now. Do you hear me? Call him now. I had women with children knock on my door trying to sell me mardi-gras beads. These unwanted knocks came at all hours. I was going for a conference and was not going to be in the room at all...just needed a place to sleep. The bed had to be at least 20 years old and the sheets had cigarette burns all over. The room was as clean as it could be however it was just in need of a makeover. The owners were very kind however they need to invest in their property a little bit and not be so cheap. This place had what seemed to be permanent residents...not really the place I felt safe staying in.

This is the first time I have been really disappointed by any booking through hotels.com. I usually feel like hotels.com points us toward great hotels with great prices. NOT this time. The hotel staff was not very friendly (it was really late at night, but still...), the room was not very clean and there was literally rodent droppings on the floor in the room. It was bad enough to necessitate sleeping on top of the sheets/blankets. Staff did not offer any apologies. Will not stay here again.

It was bad enough to necessitate sleeping on top of the sheets/blankets. Staff did not offer any apologies. Will not stay here again.

The hotel is not as nice as some reviews say. The hotel clerk was very nice but our rooms smells like humidity and mildew. The "welcome" mats in front the door was a torn piece of carpet and the hotel is very run down. The first room I was given, the door wouldn't fully close and the second had weird stains in the bathroom. The free continental breakfast , was just some honey buns and coffee. I would recommend this hotel if your looking for any kind of comfort.

Great value. Close to airport and everything you need is within one mile. Across the street is a fantastic barbecue-Bun and Barrel, that Guy from the Food Network liked. Cameron was a hot waiter!

This was a trip where I had short time to see places and needed somewhere cheap and good. The hotel was located near all type of restaurants. The staff was very helpful and the hotel was clean and well kept.

This hotel was a mistake. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The carpet had huge stains, the linens were off colored, and the room stunk something awful. I was told there would be no problem parking a bus in the parking lot, however, a portion of the bus was taken off when the bus was getting parked because of the concrete wall was sticking out. DON'T stay here!!!!!

The bathrooms were not very nice but plenty of towels and it was clean, The beds were not real comfortable .The rates were great. The location was close to town and the Alamo and Riverwalk, Lots of places to eat close by and shopping. Good for the low budget traveler. Bad if you want luxury.

What do you expect? It's a cheap hotel! I was there for 4 days. I expected a less than glamorous room. The old TV had poor reception, there were no plugs available to plug in phone chargers, the chain and other "extra" security locks were broken. The bathroom vanity looked like I built it in my back yard, and the refrigerator froze my beer. The bathroom wall had some suspect brown smears near the toilet. Hmmm, (they looked old too.) The bathroom door had been nailed back together from having been smashed down. The carpet was nasty looking and even had a nice burnt spot in the shape of an iron. The tub didn't have too many hairs from the previous guest but the water was hot and I didn't have to fiddle with the drain too much to get it to close. The AC unit worked pretty darn good. No elevator to second floor which is actually about 3 stories up from the ground. I woke up feeling bruised all over, but the sheets "looked" clean enough. You need to pay twice as much to get a decent place, or you can stay here for half the price and put up with ugly. I have stayed in a LOT of hotels. Most of them classy and expensive. I'm pretty sure I have stayed in an uglier room, I don't remember though. All this said, I'd stay there again if I needed a cheap hotel.

Overall cleanliness of the room was quite good, although the building itself was rather run down. It was a coin toss as to getting polite service at the front desk, it depended on who was there. The free breakfast they offered was, well, let's say it was worth exactly what we paid for it.

This was THE WORST hotel I have ever stayed at in my life (and I have stayed in a lot of hotels due to work). The room smelled awful, and the bed consisted of a two inch mat on top of a box spring. The shower had some sort of substance underneath the flooring, causing it to bubble up whist showering. There were also bullet holes unsuccessfully covered up by some drywall. There is a speed bump in the front of the parking lot that was so high my car bottomed out in three different spots going over it at a speed of maybe 3 mph. We felt so unsafe in this hotel, we left a day earlier than planned and forfeited our money spent on this dump hole.
