Good place to stay and very close to the airport.

Excellent stay, our go to motel whenever we are in San Antonio.

Close to the airport. Plenty of parking. A bit dark at night.

I like the guy at the desk around 11-9. Outside it looked bad. Inside was better than outside. No amenities other than free wifi. No microwave no fridge no coffee maker in room. Elevator went out. Hallway has no ac. U have to ask for extra towels every night. It served it purpose somewhere to sleep.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was very comfortable.

Room 104 stunk like smoke, the door had been kicked in or was not very secure. I gave feedback to the company and an employee contacted me right away to switch rooms. The room they gave us on the top floor was much better and cleaner. The property overall could be updated.

The hotel smells wonderful soon as u enter the building. The ladies were very nice . I got great service. I will return next time I'm in Texas. THANK YOU FOR A RELAXING STAY!

The place smell a dirty like cigar, and the carpet of the hall to the rooms are very very dirty . The pictures of the website looks totally different. I never will be use this hotel. Sorry. About the staff I Don have any bad experience

The only real amenities that they had was a 24 seven coffee bar. The room that I did not have a fridge or a microwave in it you have to upgrade in order to get those amenities. My room just had a TV and some of the stations did not work at all, so it was kind of touchy and picky on what you could and couldn’t watch. That was a little disappointing because there were maybe three channels that my kids could watch and then one turn to adult stuff so those are the options. The staff was excellent, super helpful. The maids went the extra mile and actually laid out my kids blanket and their stuffy’s on the bed, which I thought was really sweet. I would stay again, but I will definitely be looking for a pool, continental breakfast and a room with a microwave and fridge, especially since we stayed five days that was a bit rough.

Absolutely terrible, while the property itself is not the worst ive seen. They "policies" are quite frankly THEFT!!! I booked a 3 day stay and needed to change the dates, NO REFUND whatsoever on the booked room, so i still got charged for a room that i never used. Even though i STILL stayed at their property on the new dates. Completly unreasonable and i have made a complaint to the BBB. I will NEVER stay at another Red Roof Inn anywhere.

The room needed the air conditioner better. It barely had it cooking on high. The bathroom shower was dirty and needs cleaning. Stains were disgusting.

Staff was great. Good place for emergency or quick stay. I’m a clean freak but understand the hotel biz, worked in some many years, but these floors had all kinds of stuff stuck to it and clearly visible in the bathroom and main room areas. Should have been taken care of. Washer and dryers were out of order the entire 4 night stay and that was very inconvenient for my family. NO pool, no breakfast. Just bare bones stay. The AC in the room also did not work properly. It wasn’t hot per se but as soon as the unit would shut off it would start getting hot. The first night we all woke up in the middle of the night sweating and I was right next to the unit. All in all not terrible but could have been better. In an emergency I would stay again

I liked that the room was spacious and Room Service came every day to redo our bed and take out trash. It could have been cleaner, old ketchup stains or salsa stains on parts of furniture. Hair in the shower, and the toilet would make a ringing noise for about 30 minutes after flushing it.

The experience in my room was clean but I noticed it had musty smell. The two queen room deluxe had microwave and refrigerator and TV. Also got fresh new towels when ask for new ones. Disappointed wasn’t any breakfast. But overall experience was clean I didn’t notice any bugs or roaches reading some reviews. Some air fresheners would be needed in the rooms

The parking was for patrons only, lots of people smoking around the entrance, cleanliness was not the best and towels were not as clean as I would hvae liked them to be. Room was mopped but dirty shoe prints were on the floor and it was still very wet. Bathroom tub was dirty and had hair.

This place smelled and human urine walking to my room and the a/c was so loud I could not sleep. The area was sketchy area of town. I will never go back to any Red Roof Inn again in my life!

Plenty of parking. No unnecessary noise from the other patrons. Overall it was good. No breakfast on premises but there’s plenty of nearby restaurants.

Large room. Staff was friendly & helpful. Was able to park close to my room. A little beat up here & there, nicks in the bath tub, dresser hardware rusted. Washer was out of order. Vending machines did not work. WiFi was intermittent. Bed was too soft for me.

Conveniently located next to airport which was exactly what i was looking for. Allowed me to book same day at reasonable rate.

Got to the room, smoke detector was low battery chirping. Went to dinner after bringing it up to the staff. Got back, chirping was gone. It then decided to start chirping again at 3:30am. Impossible to sleep and wasn’t able to get it fixed so I checked out. Place needs to pay attention to the batteries. Staff was friendly.

It was a decent stay staff is very friendly and helpful whatever you need just ask room was clean has wifi access the elevator broke down on my second day, but it was no big deal overall I’d recommend if your looking for somewhere close to the airport and mall.

There was small roaches in the room. Ice machine didn't make enough ice. Elevator was not working. Fitted sheets did not fit properly and kept coming undone.

Made reservation for a room with double beds and once arriving was told that room that I reserved is unavailable and to accommodate me and my family they put us in a room with a king size bed which wasn’t enough room for a family, but the room was clean

This hotel let me make reservations, then when I arrived told me I wasn’t allowed to rent from them because I had smoked in the room on a previous stay. I don’t smoke. Then they didn’t want to refund my money, and called the police and had me trespassed from the property. It took 3 weeks to finally get a refund. Night staff were rude, couldn’t explain why they took the reservation, and what had been. Damaged supposedly on a previous stay. Trash, is the best thing to say about night staff.

No real workspace. The place is bare bones. A bed, bathroom and TV is all you get. Looks like a lot of drug activity was going on. Lookouts in the parking lot. I even saw somebody throwing a small drug package from upstairs onto the ground outside. Place didn't feel especially safe at night. Would be nice to have a security person in the area.

It's a very convenient location. The rooms and interiors have been updated. Some of the structure show some age, i.e., run on the door frame in the bathroom, settlement cracks between ceiling and walls. But the staff was so super professional and helpful--especially the guy who checked me in! He was great with security for a single woman.

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. I moved from La Quinta inn in San Marcos which was horrible and Red Roof made me feel right at home. Room was clean and comfortable as well!

Don’t know if we got the renovated room by booking a “deluxe” room but I’ll definitely do it again. We had no issues with noise or shady neighbors and the pet fee of only $15 for two pets was awesome. The only negative is the lack of pet owners picking up after their dogs. Piles everywhere! We’d definitely stay again though!

The room had a horrible smell. The floors was nasty. The tub had mold and the toilet was nasty.

I paid in advance and my check in was smoothly. The room was cleaned and the hallway was cleaned as well. Just needed an update on Cable TV

First off, the hotel is very clean! I really liked that the room were carpet-free. Beds were comfy and clean. The AC worked perfectly. The only negative comment was that the elevator was not working properly the first night, but was fixed by the next day

Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. In one of the rooms, my 3-year-old found a cigarette butt on the floor. Thankfully, we caught it before she started playing with it. Both rooms had mildew in the toilets, and in the room I stayed in, about three roaches crawled onto the bed while I was laying down (as shown in the pictures). These may not be “huge” problems to some, but cleanliness is extremely important to me, and this stay did not meet expectations. I honestly should’ve gone with the cheaper hotel.

Very misleading, had to cancel my stay. No microwave, no refrigerator, the pictures shown were nothing like the hotel. Bed sheets had stains.

My room was a "Standard Room" No frills, no refrigerator, no microwave, no work desk. Just a bed, bathroom and some beat up furniture. My bathroom had a heavy urine smell. I changed rooms, but got the same exact room, but on a different floor. This hotel is close to the airport, but a car is needed if you want to go to resturants or shop. As a single woman traveling alone, this hotel did not make me feel safe. I checked out immediately. The staff though was very nice.

We were told we could not stay there. They said we stole all the linens and when I asked th for proof they could not show us any. Asked to see camera and they claim they did not have any and we saw them. We stay there a lot and they said we know. Told her we have no reason to take it and they said we could at any other red roof. Think they were upset that I said it he lobby reeked of pot and my 5 year old was with me. I never stole a darn thing. But it’s ok they lost our business.

The room was dirty and smell was horrible. The bath room is not big enough for a 10 year old not to mention it was dirty complete with beer cans. The refrigerator smelled bad. The picture and ratings on expedia are missleading.

Truthfully, I did not feel safe when I checked in. It felt like a seedy hotel. I wound up not staying and driving home to Austin after the concert I was attending in San Antonio.

The facility was old. The water leaked in shower and semi-molded in shower, towel had long hair laying across it, room dusty, no microwave or fridge, wall in restroom was eroded. I appreciated the cold air conditioning, comfy bed, no carpeted floors. Took a minute, but figured out we were put in a handicap room, not request. I was glad it was only for one night.

Before I left on my trip, I specifically got on the horn with Expedia, and a representative from Expedia called the hotel to make sure that I could check in at 9:00 a.m.. When I got to the hotel, the lady at the desk was very cold and distant, saw the note and completely ignored it. My room was not ready when I got off the plane. It's very unprofessional in customer service to promise a customer something and then not deliver. Everything else about my stay there was wonderful but that really sourd my experience.

I've complained a lot about his behavior but whenever we go he/she is still there with his attitude. He also takes his kid to work and he's in the lobby and I think that's wrong

I truly loved my time here, and especially with all the comforts of home for me to snuggle up with right at my fingertips, or at my simple request! Even the level of clean, up close and thoroughly clean was way above Par in my Book, most definitely!!! The Staff were the most attentive and dependable, and can handle special things in case the plans take unexpected turns on you! I'm already planning a trip to a Family Reunion, and I will be seeing this Beautiful Hotel, and it's Beautiful Staff again!!!

The hotel itself is very old. They havent renovated the entire building. If carpets, rooms, building is renovated, this could be one of the best hotels. As of now it was okay. There was a stink maybe due to flood or water or rain accumulated within the carpets which was dried and it stank. For the price, it could have been a bit better. Great customer service though by all the receptionist. Hotel team helped me to get my full refund for the 2 unused nights so that was awssome.

I was just spending one night in San Antonio, and I wanted something clean, safe, affordable, and close to the airport. What exceeded my expectations was the friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the bed, the air condition, and the convenience and safety of the parking lot. The rooms were a lot quieter than I expected with little hallway noise. The air conditioner looked new and was so quiet, I wasn’t sure it was on. Yes, the exterior, hallway, and rooms look well-worn, and at first I worried I’d made a mistake, but I slept better and more comfortably in this room than in many places that “look” great.

Had 2 rooms with 2 dogs each. Plenty of room for for them to walk around and cool off on the flooring. We didn't feel cramped at all, even with dog crates and toys. Room was clean and ac, fridge, and microwave worked great. It was 102 degrees and the room felt cool. Just what we needed, nothing super fancy, just a nice clean place to relax for a few days.

This experience sucked if your using this app becarful cause they let the hotels keep 100% of your money if anything goes wrong this hotel wouldnt let me check in when i payed for two weeks stay and the hotel was able to keep $397 and i was sol out of my money.

Mattress to soft difficult to body rotation in sleep. Worst issue historically toilet seats typically unsecured from lack of maintenance and frequently occurs over my history at this property making use uncomfortable and potentially injurious to guest. Thanks for using this comment, otherwise will continue using properly.

Great basic facilities for near the airport

It smells horrible in there, and there are rooms with a door entrance to another room. If checking in at night, there's a chance that the system may be a hit or miss with running smoothly to check you in. The property will not refund money for any purpose, so read their policy. I wouldn't suggest this location to anyone.

It’s a good place for an overnight stay. It’s an older building and needs some updates but our stay was comfortable. Only thing I can gripe about is that the “master” light switch has to be on in order for all other lighting in the room to work. Would be better if you can control each individual lighting fixture on its own.

Staff was great, however rooms smell like cigarette and are not properly cleaned such as toilet.

My room smelled like cigarettes

Roaches (very tiny ones) I saw crawling in the restroom at night when I went (2) and the little one on the desk I saw at 5am when I started getting ready. Room A/C worked great. Shower head was not so great. May have just been our room but the shower head had very little pressure and was a very wide spray as the water came out. So one night I can deal with and the staff was great-price was really low so in some ways to be expected. Again could have just been our room but didn’t have time to ask to switch either.

Hotel staff was not personable / professional. Saw a couple roaches in room. Room smelled horrible, Was concerned my vehicle could be broken into. will never ever book this hotel again!!!

It was very convenient to the Airport

There was a lot of mold in our room and no matter what you did you could not get rid of the humidity. The bathroom drain was Rusty and looked dirty the bed sheets did not fit the bed was not extremely comfortable. There's no pool and no breakfast and no vending machines

The stay was basic, last minute and you get what you pay for; however the cleanliness was questionable. I found a pair of dirty underwear in the shower wich means it was obviously not cleaned properly

Location was right for our trip

While the hotel is pet-friendly they have a policy that you cannot leave your dog unattended in the room. We were taking our daughter to SeaWorld so it wasn’t going to work for us. Aldo was kind and understanding and approved a refund. Dan was also really nice and helpful as well.

I love the location, quite, safe, clean, very comfortable beds, but the front desk people are always rude as can be. I always stay here cuz the prices are amazing and like I said earlier it's convenient but the front desk trans last night was very rude and talking to me as if I was a child. After having an amazing day, after I checked in, it just ruined everything!

Overall clean place, however the tub in the bathroom had rust…. The fridge was not functioning properly and the chairs were old and worn

The property needed updating, area was questionable looking, not the most inviting. They did not have any bottled water when we stayed, they were out. Staff was nice but not the property it was OK at best.

This place had roaches and dirty bed sheets! They will not give you a refund even if it's 48 hours in advance! Disgusting place would never recommend. I had to sleep in my car it was so bad never going to this place again.

Se me derramo una ensalada por accidente. La persona en el front desk dijo que si no limpiaba : " you have to leave the premises" Si lo tiraste, lo limpias, si no lo haces te vas" Tuve que hacerlo porque era tarde y no queria a esa hora tener que buscar un hotel. Esa persona me dio una toalla y me toco arrodillarme ahi en la mitad del lobby a recoger los restos de la ensalada. Fue muy hummillante pero ademas me senti amenazada e intimidada por esta persona.

It seems all hotels have "someone" trying to open the door of your room, which happened several times. I saw no one suspicious but I've learned a long time ago to always lock behind you, even while being in an enclose hallway. Other than that and not having bottled water available in the vending machines, and the bathroom outlet with the blow dryer not working, it was perfect!!
