    Front desk staff was very nice. Location was convenient. Room was clean. AC worked but was very loud. Concerns about safety as there were sketchy characters in the dog area in the back of the building. Also, in the middle of the night, a man ran down the hall screaming something about a woman taking his money. Also the parking garage at night did not feel very safe.

    Nice hotel, bedding could have been better. Didn’t like that we had to pay just about $20 per vehicle to park. A/c was cold but was loud. Overall good for the price.

    So the price was decent. Staff was kind for sure. What I am disappointed in is how unclean our room was upon arrival. We entered into our room with hair on the floor, not like random, but lots long hair through out. Then we pulled the sheet back to find hair in the bedding. There were spider webs, dead bugs on the floor and the restroom and bedroom floors had not been clean because we bought cleaner and our rags we bought came out black after cleaning. As far as location, easy spot for highway or downtown. Didn't know they had coffee until the last day when another guest was asking. The pool was cloudy and was not inviting at all. Please note, you pay for what you get. After we clean I can say, the a/c worked well and the bed was comfortable to sleep in, I would just recommend that the management look into room inspections and clean with an expectation.

    The front desk guy. "Jesus" Even though he was the only one serving guests on a holiday weekend, answering the phone and attending to the guests, he was an excellent employee.     The room itself wasn't too bad. However, the hallway was extremely hot, like the AC wasn't working. The employee at the reception desk even commented that the AC "sucked". The pictures on the site must be pretty old because you can see that the property needs some TLC.

    The property definitely needs some tlc. Our room had lots of signs of wear and tear, from the hairdryer not working, one of the dresser drawers was broken and wouldn’t open, a broken power strip in the night table with wires exposed. We paid less to stay as close to the riverwalk as we could and it’s easy to see why it’s priced like it is.

    It’s a pretty simple old school hotel. Clean for its age and you can’t beat the price. You got the Skybar across the street and extremely close to the city’s popular places. The staff are nice and if you get a chance to meet Jesus he’s a solid guy.

    If you plan on staying here make sure your room is NOT on the second floor near the exit towards the parking garage DOOR. My room was 4 door down and all I kept hearing was the door SLAMMING opening and closing all day & night. I couldn’t sleep the whole weekend . They need to fix that door. Where it does not slam. Bad stop to rent a room where the incoming traffic is coming in and out. Another thing if you want your room to be clean you have to request it even though your staying the whole weekend you would think they would have the courtesy of cleaning your room instead of requesting who would not want fresh towels and a clean bed for the next day. Other than that the front desk guy was the only nice helpful person there.

    We did not have the breakfast, but the location was great. The lid to the ice bucket had dirt around the edge, which did not matter because the ice machine was broken. There was also black stains on the top of the bathroom door and ceiling, but other than that the rest of the room was very clean

    When checking in, I was unaware of a parking fee. I believe that should have been in the description or detail section when booking. There was no mini fridge or microwave in the rooms. If you charge for parking, there should be enough funds for at least a mini fridge. Walking into our room, there was hair on the floor under the deck and in the bathroom. Mold is growing in the corner of the bathroom and above the light switch. There was pee on the side of the toilet. The swimming pool was dirty; I understand nature; however, someone should have been out there every day cleaning. I watched as the hotel's guests cleaned the pool for the staff. Dust was on the ceiling. I asked multiple times for service for my room, and no one came. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed. TV went in and out. The guide to the TV didn't work.

    If you want a cheap hotel within walking distance to the river walk this one is a good choice. It’s not the most new or clean by any means and the photos are a little misleading (definitely doesn’t look as nice and new) but it did what we needed it to do. Also close distance to Alamodome for the concert we went to. Easy on and off for uber drivers. No breakfast, pool was okay (a little dirty and not as new as the pictures portray), staff was truly great, they assisted when someone’s pet was being loud, helped give extra towels and toilet paper when needed.

    furniture/lamps/pillows/amenities/housekeeping/customer service, there are a couple notes to go over and pictures I uploaded im google review. Given the fact that I paid about $625 for a 2 night stay (not including the $30-$35 parking fee that was not listed when booking the hotel stay), the hotel room furnishings like the pillows/fabric chairs/lamp covers all had unsanitary brown stains from not being upkept. The ice bucket had brown substance dried on the bucket, the chair with fabric had a brown stain from lord knows what. Housekeeping intruding and invading privacy with the visible "do not disturn" sign hanging, and not veing check out time nor requesting housekeeping.

    I dont really recommend this hotel because it looks good from the outside but once you step in its terrible. The staff can be rude to some people and they dont restock the cups of coffee and clean the coffee machine. And in the room the beds are decent sizes but the BEDS ARE VERY DIRTY i found stains on them and it wasn't just my room. Because my friend told me about it as well. The room is terrible because it doesn't even have a microwave nor a fridge bro. The bathroom is decent but other than that its OK. The good thing is that you can go walking to nearby places like El Alamo and Riverwalk. And there is a bridge next to the hotel and it looks pretty at night because it has color changing lights. Other than that its not a good hotel if youre not gonna go out yk.

    Overall the stay was pretty great for price. My granddaughter wanted to swim but the pool was dirty. Now like I told my granddaughter I’m not sure if they run the pool like our community pool and only open it during summer or just had not cleaned it yet to be opened but we were able to get in pool area so that was confusing and a huge disappointment to her as she is a swimmer and wanted to use it. It was a great stay and friendly staff. I would stay again for certain.

    I was a bit nervous in staying at this hotel because of the reviews I saw, but thankfully our experience was a good one! The staff was super friendly, and our room was organized and clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the soda vending machine in the first floor ate our money so we had to go to the fourth floor to get drinks. Our sink also clogged when we used it. Other than that we will be coming back, and recommend it to others! (:

    Property was pet friendly, but I was disappointed, no mini frig, or microwave it was in the lobby. They ran out of towels. No vents in the restroom. Our toilet backed up. Only coffee in morning but ran out of creamer. Vending machines, but soda came out hot. And the parking lot is not big enough for the place. Cars were parked on the side were you climb to the next floor of parking garage. Making very hard to drive out. Heaven forbid a vechical coming up while you trying to go down. Thin walls you can hear your neighbor's conversation. But if your just staying the night it is fine. We also had a lamp that was about to fall off the wall. I personally won't again.

    From getting charged for parking and then getting towed and crying so much I got shocked in the room before entering restroom I had been crying my tears where on floor I touched the sink area an I was barefoot I was shocked I told the pregnant lady in desk downstairs if there was anything electric in sink area an she gave me a funny look as if I was lying this place is terrible an it's not the house keeping they did there jobs it's the careless of how they handle situations as a joke a just ask me my room number to send maintenance more like I had been crying all night to have this happen scares me an glad it did not happen to my kids or anyone this is unbelievable what I experienced there from beginning to end was not right I will never stay at a red roof plus and I will be contacting appropriate people who may think this is important

    The room, however, was not! There was NO HOT WATER to shower in. The tub had all the porcelain flaking off and didnt drain either. There was some weird blood stain on the bathroom wall. It was gross. The floor of the room was covered in hairs. Definitely had not been swept or vacuumed in a good long while. Dust was covering the lampshades. Furniture was old and quite beat up. The sheets were clean.

    Stayed here for 2 nights and we heard loud fighting yelling down the hallway very clearly, police showed up and kicked them out but it took them all night.     The room was spotless and cleaned, and the help our staff was very helpful with us and very friendly. The only problem we had was the first morning we got up. There is no hot water initially and we were called downstairs and asked what’s what’s with the water problem, they told us because we were on an upper floor. He was gonna take longer for the hot water. We waited over 45 minutes before the water finally got hot and that was with the water running the entire time. It almost made us let both late for the meetings that we had that morning. That was our only real problem we had. The rest of the hotel was very nice.

    I arrived and got my room, then when I went to use the shower, it didn’t have hot water. I called front desk and a staff member came to check it and confirmed no hot water. Heat and Air worked fine. The girl at the front desk at check in was not the least bit friendly. Couldn't pull in because cars are stacked up outside waiting for 4 o'clock to roll around so tgey could check in to avoid a $25 early check in fee. Sadly I do not recommend.

    The Red Roof Inn Plus was an excellent choice for me. My room was spacious with air conditioning, a comfortable bed, a desk, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing board, blow dryer and great lighting. There is also a pool. There were plenty of outlets for electronics. Great area, very walkable, close to the Alamodome, the Riverwalk, resturants, shopping. This hotel is centrally located, and pet friendly!! Its right on a bus line also.No hotel resturant, but they do have plenty of vending machines with microwavable food, drinks, snacks etc. They offer food service delivery though limited. They do have self service coffee station in the lobby that is available 24 hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As a solo woman traveler, I felt safe in the area, and would definitely stay there again.

Raised this to corporate and since “our stories didn’t match I was trespassed from staying there again” (as if I’d ever stay in that dump ever again).     I also heard someone YELLING over and over during the night that the front doors weren’t opening. I thought it was a drunk guest but it was the front desk overnight employee. She was nice but I thought it was odd she was in pajama pants (unprofessional) and yelling instead of walking to the door to show a sign that the entry door was broken or at least mouth it. Just gave cheap motel vibes with that. There is no breakfast but coffee is available. There is an overpass right next to the hotel where you can park for $3-5 but it’s shady once it gets dark. I paid the $15 plus tax to park in the hotel garage. Walking distance to Alamodome, Alamo and Riverwalk.

    Homeless everywhere. Charge for parking everything's dirty . Questionable stains on the furniture. Cockroaches. Musty smell in the hallway . Wouldnt give me a refund had to stay . No breakfast .     Unfortunately we will not be staying here again. The room smelled of dog/urine and the furniture was old and falling apart. This is in a sketchy area, and I am pretty sure there is prostitution that goes on in this hotel. Spend a little more and stay somewhere closer to the Riverwalk.

    The beds were super hard, water pressure was minimal, the room seemed a little dirty and definitely could be remodeled, the hallway on the 2nd floor smelled of an awful chemical smell, staff was good that we made contact with, the surrounding area did not feel safe, quite a bit of homeless people around. Overall I wouldn’t stay here with kids.

    The room was impeccably clean, and I was particularly impressed by the absence of any pests. I would recommend this establishment, though a more thorough inspection under the beds is advised, as I discovered a discarded item. Given my observations on Friday and Saturday evenings, the surrounding area was lively due to the nearby clubs. Overall, I would rate my experience a 4.9.

    I was on my way to SA when I realized that my concert was rescheduled so I tried calling and calling the hotel to cancel my room. And, no one ever answered. I sent an email that same day since no one was picking up the phone! We'll I finally got a hold of someone and they said I was still charged the no show fee. Mean while the concert venue gave me a full refund. I just think they could have handled it differently. Or given me a chance to stay at a later date. The girl said, cuz it was prepaid in not entitled to a refund.

    The overall quality of the room was subpar to the lowest of standards for a typical motel of this caliber. The room had odors, there were items that belonged to previous customers left behind in the drawer and under the bed, and floors were dirty. The saving grace was the location, staff service was great, and there is a garage parking.

    We have stayed here several times. Appreciate that they have onsite parking and their parking rates are cheaper than most. Don't like that you have to upgrade to get a fridge and microwave in your room. First morning there was no coffee and our toilet was clogged but overall not bad, we would stay again. Not a bad walk to the convention center.

    Love the location, love that my dog was able to stay, he's a pit mix. However, the ice machine, the soda machine in my floor 3rd. was not working, the AC was not cold enough. I'm just happy that we were out most of the time. And the pool NEEDS a privacy cover or fence.

    What I DIDN'T like was the last time I stayed at this hotel. Was I booked a Premium room. And guess what the Air Conditioning didn't work. I go to the desk they tell Sorry no more Premium rooms so I have to take a Downgrade, BUT no refund that I'm aware of. But you can take the mystery box. How's that for customer service??!!....

    It was old building. Dirty carpets. They need to remodel this building. The air conditioning only cools off a small portion of the hotel. It served its purpose and price. I would only recommend for a quick overnight or 2 day stay.

    We paid extra for an “Upgraded King Suite” with “Upgraded bedding and a snack”. From prior experience, the bedding was the same thats in all the rooms. Also the special snack was literally expired vending machine products in a bakery box with a seal. And I didn’t even think to take pictures just because it was so laughable, embarrassing, and unbelievable. We just accepted the fact that they got one over on us. Thankfully downtown has a lot to offer because, the Redroofplus+ was definitely a double minus, as if that could actually explain the disappointment. There are no words. All we heard all night was the banging of the hallway entrance that would not lock and people, and children screaming. We basically paid to stay in the projects, smell of drugs being smoked included. And not just weed. Unless you are looking for a homeless shelter. Do not stay here.

    It's had some wear and tear, and our room/bathroom was basic, but the location is great and the value for where it is was wonderful! Our family of four and dog walked to the Alamo in about 10 minutes and the riverwalk from there. It was a great experience!

    Rooms have no microwaves or mini fridge, unless you upgrade and pay more money. You have to pay 15 dollars a day to park on site. Everything is an upcharge. Tvs are small. Only thing decent was the bed...i slept well. But damg for a working man with 4 kids. It doesn't help your pocketbook.

    We have stayed there twice, the first time cleanliness was an issue, the towels stunk, and one could tell the room had not been used in quite some time. However, the second time we stayed, it was very different, the room was clean, so were the towels, the only issue I see is the staff is not very friendly. There were not rude or anything, they just showed no interest in guests. Location couldn’t be better if you are staying there for a concert or to tourist around downtown.

People fighting outside in the hallway and went front desk was informed they just laughed and said somone will check it out but no one did.     Rented for pool and has a sign that said “Pool closed today.” The pool water was green and was the same way when we left the next day. Sign might have been up for days and didn’t look like they were fixing anytime soon. Pool was one of the main reasons got that hotel. Also got charged for parking, even though we didn’t park there. Disappointing.

    I was assigned a room on the 5th floor which was extremely dirty. The staff was great on changing me rooms.
