Room was dirty and the towels were stained red. Chairs were also stained and all the hallway A/C units were unplugged.

Carpet had questionable stains, trash can had poop all over it. Looks like they slapped paint over moldy walls and called it a day. Also no fire detectors In The rooms!

The room was clean but you can tell this is a old building the carpets were ripped and stained and the flooring in the bathroom was lifting the pool is not open we were really looking forward to that and if you vape you have to go outside no vaping in the room I thought that was different I get cigarettes other then that not bad for a last minute hotel.

I believe that you have to request housekeeping a day before. That's the only thing that would make this four versus five stars and it makes sense because I think they are kind of short staffed which is good when there is not a event but when there's an event housekeeping needs another person. The rooms are always clean initially and they clean them when you leave but you have to request housekeeping when you're staying more than one day.

Close to Fort Sam Houston, reason for booking. Had a King suite; liked the price for layout everything was out dated, remotes to both tvs didnt work, every other channel was audio only, returned to room next day, no housekeeping, room 116 located by outside door that constantly was slammed shut making walls and door shake in room. Door and lock didnt feel secure and safe. Pool was open then closed for maintenance during entire stay with nothing done to pool, small black bugs on everything and the access took me on the backside that didn't feel the safest.

The doors to the stairs kept being left open using the rug by the entrance, my first night a random man was sleeping on the stairs at 4:30am, the stairs AC was off at all times with 90 degree weather, carpet it’s not being clean in who knows how long, shower needs better cleaning. I did not feel safe and I was there in Texas for my sons Air Force graduation

Pros: The staff were nice and we didn’t see any roaches. Cons: Everything else. Our sheets had 3 inch crusty yellow smear on them when we checked in. The curtains fell off the wall when we opened them - the hotel didn’t send maintenance until 2 days later. Two of the legs on the desk were broken, so the desk lurched when used. The paint throughout the property was moldy and peeling. The hallways smelled bad. There was a random tv lying in the hall all 3 days of our stay. The telephone didn’t work. No one ever answered the front desk phone so every time something new went wrong, we had to walk to the front desk, in a separate building. The property doesn’t look at all like the photos. Highly recommend avoiding…sleeping in your car sounds like a better experience.

Showed up at 7 pm, looked like the property was closed. The office wasn’t staffed, walked around and couldn’t find anyone, there was only 1 car in the whole parking lot. I had to go to the hotel next door to inquire about another room, I told her I had a reservation next door but nobody was there, she then makes a phone call and says the office person will be back in a few minutes. I’m pretty sure she was sleeping because she was immediately there and looked disheveled. The whole thing was so bizarre, only one other person staying in the entire hotel, they’re clearly going out of business. Then there was a car circling the parking lot most likely waiting for us to leave so they could break into our car. The room smelled like smoke and had bugs on the floor. I would recommend spending a little extra money to stay someplace safer that is actually staffed.

Breakfast was appalling, the food was overcooked and there were no condiments. The room coffee maker was not usable and the packets for the coffee were opened and missing stuff. Ran out of hot water taking a shower. The drawers of the dresser were stuck closed, but if you opened them they wouldn't stay closed without jamming them. There was garbage from the last person still in the trash. The fridge smelled like rotten food and was hard to open. The place was run down and just gross. Would not recommend with so many other good hotels in the same price range

I have to admit I was disappointed this trip. I understand you get what you pay for but this was alot. I’ve been coming here for years, even through the name change and I’ve noticed it’s going downhill throughout the years but I’m loyal so stay. But I’ve come to decision that I’m not gonna stay here anymore. I went about two weeks ago and there was not a shower curtain in that room. This time the phone did not work. The smoke detector was not attached to the ceiling. It was on the shelf. The furniture in the front room was stained. The light did not work either, and there was only one remote to two TVs, which only worked on one. Not to mention the microwave. The glass in the microwave does not fit so when you try to heat things up, it’s a constant banging sound every time it turns. Its the perfect location to stay at when going to a San Antonio Spurs game but sadly its gone downhill. This app is not letting me add the pictures I took to show you otherwise you could see what I saw.

This property is extremely run down and its in need of serious updates. We did not eat the included breakfast as the dinning room/kitchen smelled of sewage.

Both rooms were filthy. There were used floss picks left in the drawers, gum stuck to the furniture, and an overwhelming foul odor that was impossible to ignore. It honestly smelled like something had gone bad in the rooms. The hallway and access doors to the rooms were being propped open with rugs, so they wouldn’t lock at all. There was no secure access, and people were constantly coming in and out. Combined with the transient activity around the property, it made us extremely uncomfortable. The rooms themselves were also poorly maintained. The water wasn’t working properly, the toilet wouldn’t stop running, and the lights were flickering. It was clear these rooms had not been properly cleaned or maintained. We brought these issues to management’s attention and attempted to resolve it, but they refused to accommodate us or offer any refund. We also contacted Hotels.com since we booked through them, but they were unable to help. We didn’t even stay our full reservation and still lost $838. That’s unacceptable! I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This was beyond disappointing, an outright waste of money, and a terrible experience!!

Spent one night. This hotel needs to be refurbished. The furniture needs to go to Goodwill. Carpet needs replacing. Not what is advertised on Expedia. The hotel is just old. For the price per day, I'd say not a great deal.

We booked here because it is close to the Frost Bank Center, and a great price! It's an older hotel, but it was perfect for what we needed. Our room had 2 king beds and was really spacious. AC worked great and the linens were clean. I'd stay again.

Eggs weren’t real and French toast was like cardboard(thing white bread) Yogurt, fruit and pasteries were available along with cereals. Not many folks at breakfast. Staff was nice.

Looks can be deceiving

We were booked in a room that was not clean. The trash been was full to the rim and beds barely made. Pillows were shuffled and didn’t look clean. The bathroom ceiling leaked and the floor was flooded with water. The next room had a cup with black beans and cinnamon sticks on the shelf in the closet. I would not recommend. Price does not match the rooms nor the service.

We didn’t spend the night we left as soon as we open the door to the room, it smelled like smoke in a non smoking room. It was dark and dirty carpet all through out the hotel room.

Nothing really. The bed was very close to the door which did not lock properly. The latch was extremely loose, my husband tried to tighten the screws, which were so loose he could use his finger and it still would not tighten. The door would not close completely. Breakfast was uncomplicated but convenient. Getting something before leaving rather than making a stop somewhere else was pleasant. All the items were readily available and well-stocked.

Since we rented a car, free parking made our stay much more convenient. We didn't have to worry about additional costs or street parking because spaces were available close to the building.

The stay was amazing but the property itself was not clean and it had roach infestation. While I was occupying the room a pest control person walked in the knock while unlocking the door. I saw 3 roachs myself. Poor taking care of its ran down its smells it’s has a roach infestation

We had a pleasant stay at Quality Inn & Suites I-35 near Frost Bank Center. The location was very convenient for exploring San Antonio, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and offered good value for money. We especially appreciated the free breakfast and easy access to local attractions. Would recommend for a relaxed and affordable stay!

Nothing False advertising was nothing like the pictures they have on web sites. The room smelled bad the tv didn’t work and the shower was discussing the pool had a tarantula in it and dirty. Canceled my stay and was still charged for 3 days. Worst hotel ever and the clerk had horrible customer service. Don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The king suite was great! Traveling with family, it was nice to have that little separation between beds. Pool and included parking were a bonus — overall, a very pleasant stay

We also requested housekeeping service, but the room was not cleaned and towels were not replaced as requested. Fresh towels were only provided the following day after another request. I hope the hotel can improve room maintenance and housekeeping consistency for future guests.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this needs to be said: the property should not be renting out rooms in this condition. Guests deserve better, and management should seriously address the state of their rooms and overall quality.

So this was the problem with my stay. I extended for a day or two because of another appointment using hotels.com and I was informed that the next time I did that I will have to check all the way out with my stuff and then wait till 3:00 to check back in. This is what the front desk told me. The other option to keep my stuff in the room and continue smoothly would be to pay a $30 fee. That seems wrong on so many levels but that's how they run their place I guess.

The gym is very equipped and parking is kind of safe except when you have some people without handicap plates or placard who Park in handicap parking and others who take up two spaces. Handicap parking is not enforced by the hotel.

We were in a handicap area as we requested. Bedroom floor dirty, broken areas in the bathroom floor, not safe. Blood stand on the bottom bed speed, never changed out when the room got supposedly cleaned, when the beds were made while we were away. Not safe for a baby that's walking. Plug outlet was not completely in the wall. Used soap in bathroom shower. The whole place had a muskie smell where we had find our room, maybe a water damage smell..The door area before we get into our room, was never locked( like you didn't need a key card to get in) we have been in and out several times through the day and still was not locked. Was definitely unsafe. Breakfast was fair, not that great. I'm our pancakes that was already made, had some green pieces made inside of them.( I'm assuming it's something they are cleaning with). They did have a sign up, about didn't take food to your room or you'll get charged $50.00! I don't know if that's an old sign, but I seen quite a bit of people taking food out of that room.. But in your room on the phone is a speed dial for pizza ...lol.. So idk.. they do have a safe in the t room that takes credit cards. Oh and be careful, keep your eyes out for wild animals. Seen some cats and a loose little dog and I was chased by a skunk early 6am . Lucky didn't get spray.

The bed was good. We had to up grade our room in order to have a working AC in July. I found that to be really un acceptable. We had stayed here about 5 years ago and it was much nicer. I will not be returning.

the rooms stink to humidity, as soon as you step outside you room on the hallway it was super hot like they turn the whole ac off

After looking at reviews, I assumed this was a decent place to stay. I was wrong. I knew this wasn’t going to be a 5 star hotel, but wow. Once I checked in, I came to realize there was no elevator. Once I got up to the floor, the hallway reeked a musty odor and was hot due to no AC. Once I entered the room, it was HOT! They had the AC off. I get they’re probably trying to save $, but when it’s 90+ degrees in Texas, you need that AC on so customers can enter a comfortable environment. It took HOURS for the AC to cool the room. Due to the AC being off, the room also had a musty smell which affected my asthma, now I am sick. As for the cleanliness, not the best. Drywall was cracking throughout entire room. One chair in living area was broken. Living room area could not be used because AC from bedroom would not cool it enough; so much for paying extra for the suite. Once room finally cooled, that musty odor remained. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided, AND IT WAS ALREADY UNROLLED/PREVIOUSLY IN USE. Couldn’t even get a brand new roll, ridiculous! Buttons for tv remote were also difficult to make work. Overall, very disappointing experience.

The service for our five days was good,the cleaning lady doesn’t speak much English but she see to it that we always have clean towels,toiletries and garbage out even though we denied service , the front desk is on top of everything, there was a little problem in my bathroom as soon as I point it out my room was change , I put a 4 for property condition because the gym really need a a/c it’s too hot or the a/c need to be fixed, my kids love the pool when we get there we realize the pool need cleaning but it did clean the next day, breakfast provided which is a plus, we were there for a graduation and it was just 9 minutes to fort Sam and 6 minutes coming back

The beds were not clean. The sheets had stains on them and there were hair in the beds, I was shown 6 rooms and they could not show me one bed that was clean. For a total of 8 beds. Now they are refusing to refund my money. I guess they do not understand it is there responsibility to provide a clean room

The check in & out process was fantastic they even give a little welcome box with a couple snacks and an arm deodorant which was neat and something no hotel has ever done. The facility and room was clean. Never made it to breakfast so can’t comment on that. The hotel is quiet, well lit and safe. The only 2 negatives is that the room had a seriously horrible musty smell and could use something to help absorb the moisture in the room to end that smell. Also, the fact that the pool was extremely cloudy & dirty which was a huge disappointment as my kiddo was looking forward to swimming. I think that if these two concerns were fixed it would be a great hotel to stay at.

My first room the TV didn’t work. The phone didn’t work. They had to change me to another room after that it was just fair.

We were supposed to have had 2 double rooms that i thought were all king size beds, when we got there we were told that they were not kings but queens, and were all regular full. The pool was filthy, not skimmed or vacuumed the hot tub was worse and hardly even warm , when we turned the jets on cooler water came out of the jets and with very little pressure. We saw the grill so went to buy hot dogs and brats to grill, the grill was nasty rusted through and the broken piece of grating from the fire pit was propoed up by some of the broken bricks from the firepit. We also had a hard time getting towels. When we asked for towels the person at the desk told us to go to the laundry room, after 4 or 5 times requesting towels he finally brought a stack. Over all I would not suggest this hotel brand especially this location.

The hotel refused our cancellation or refund. We gathered our things and left. I contacted Expedia who was great and assisted locating another hotel to stay at.

The staff were really nice. The room we got the water in the toilet was leaking so they moved us to another room. The room was ok but I did kill two small roaches. Breakfast was not so great and they ran out of spoons. Pool was dirty and hot tub was cold!!! Was definitely expecting more than what I got from the reviews I read online. Location was ok.

The floors were uneven. The bathtub had dirty stains. Housekeeping did not service our room unless we asked for it, even though we stayed multiple days.

I had three rooms and they charged one at A time which locked my card down till I call if they would charged it all at on time would have been better. Remote didn’t work again just like last year

Unfortunately, this hotel is so filthy that I shared my stay here with roaches. It was disgusting to wake up to them. I told the staff. They did say they were going to spray, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all. Please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere nicer. Also, they do not have a real breakfast here….not that I was hungry after the ROACHES.

This was aweful. the room was stale and we asked for it to be cleaned on for our second night and they didn't do it. Then we asked to talk to the manger they kept hanging up on us. Stair cases hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time. Found the bug detector from Oct that was placed in the bed with the Oct date of placement. Many safety issues. Don't stay there.

No one told us that the room would not be cleaned every day. We were told that we would have to fill out a form to ask for specific chores to be done such as making the bed, changing the linen, giving us towels, etc. A few tiles were loose in the bathroom, the shower rod was loose & the AC knobs didn't work right. Staff, however, was friendly and polite.

The place looks nothing like the pictures. Broken furniture in the room I was in. Bed was uncomfortable. Smoke detector chirping due to low battery. I changed the battery for them because nobody seemed to understand what I was telling them. The shower head is NOT adjustable as it says, and popped off multiple times during a shower, hitting me in the face. They say “bright rooms,” yet window was extremely dirty and light bulbs in room were very dim. Room smelled like very strong ammonia, which is probably what they clean with…but very overpowering. Highly disappointed. I didn’t even stay my second night, and just left because I couldn’t take it any longer.

Worse motel/convenience type of hotel I ever stayed in the United States. Property is old but that is not a real problem if facilities are well maintained. Unfortunately this is not one of them. Everywhere things are broken, not maintained well, lobby/cafe/room. Even though they offers free breakfast, it is more like a joke that they don't even care to provide real eggs, just some type of pre-prepared fake eggs that tastes like rubber. Besides that you basically have shelf sold mini cinnamon roll and cereals and that is it. Coffee is light brown water to say the best and juice machine/cereal dispenser both broken (speechless). The room is old and not clean, house keeping did not even bother to clean the bathroom, they only change up towels and make the bed, leave hairs and all others in the bath tub after the cleaning. This is below the normal standard you would expect from a quality inn or other inn chains, I am not sure if this is due to being managed by an Indian crew/franchisee. No disrespect here but they are not known for hospitality and hotel management unfortunately. You have a lot of other options around the route so I strongly advise you choose others like the days inn close by.

It was good for the quick overnight stop we needed. Tv didnt work. Toilet ran over to fill up. It was clean but luttle things would have made it better.

The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. The air conditioner kept the room cold, and I had no issues with the restroom.

I had to checkout earlier because of the condition of the room I was supposed to stay for three nights I could hardly survive one night. I must say the staff were helpful and oh the WiFi doesn’t work in the room

It’s nice, simple and comfy place to stay; like the detail of giving a small thank you gift (water ball with 3 snacks ) as you check in.
