I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with my stay here. I stayed at property for one night, just before my birthday, while I was in town for the Hospitality Creator Summit. I admit that I arrived before the check-in time time, but I figured that as a Gold Elite member, they'd be able to accommodate an early check-in. I was told by the staff that they would charge me $100 to check me in early, which I denied. It wasn't worth the expense to me. They stored my bag while I went about my early afternoon in San Antonio. Upon returning to the property, my room still wasn't ready, which was frustrating to say the least. I was given a room on a lower floor, which again, was ultimately fine though not preferred. I did really enjoy the Corinne; the staff were very attentive and I loved everything I had to eat/drink. I was cautious because of some of the reviews online, but ultimately was glad I had dinner onsite. The following morning, I guess the hotel checked me out prematurely, because the hotel staff came knowing at my door 4X, even after I had said to come back later. I had to yell through the door multiple times to come back later, as I was getting ready. And that was my stay. So overall, I left disappointed. I had intentionally opted for a nicer hotel to kick off my birthday, and it was very underwhelming for the guest service I received (outside of the Corinne staff of course), particularly as a Gold Elite Marriott Bonvoy member!

Nothing reallly Oh idk, they gave me a key to an already occupied room and I walked into it thinking it was empty luckily we spotted their items and left quickly but that could’ve ended badly for Somone, we went down to the lobby got a new room after 30 minutes of waiting only to be situated in the second floor which looks like it’s going through major repairs and humidity was everywhere, the room smelled funny, the bedsheets where moist and smelly and the ac thermostat kept clicking every 10 to 30 seconds all night making it hard to sleep, the only decent quality was the balcony which we used for 5 minutes

This place is hip and very fun! The Corinne restaurant has great food, but the service is very slow! I took my 4 month old malti-poo and he was welcomed so lovingly! They need a pet relief area that is not across the street. The hotel is walking distance to the riverwalk and everything! The staff is so helpful! I lived the stay!

The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. The rooms were comfortable, well-designed, and very well maintained. I also loved the overall vibe of the property and how conveniently located it is to enjoy San Antonio. If you’re planning a trip and want a hotel that feels both luxurious and peaceful, I would definitely recommend Plaza San Antonio. I’d gladly stay there again.

Beautiful property close to all the action. Our room was incredibly loud the first night, but the staff quickly found us a quieter room for our toddler the rest of the stay. We did encounter some small issues (tv remote missing, wardrobe light wouldn’t turn off). Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would be back. The staff is stellar.

DO NOT BOOK IF YOU WANT A BALCONY OR PATIO. All pages on hotels.com says includes balcony/patio, and when we arrived , hotel told us its been a “marketing mistake” on the website

The reason for this low rating is the valet service. They parked the car under a tree which left tons of sticky residues on it. When I asked the valet staff, they were very rude and responded that’s how it is and they’re not responsible. Not even an apology, or trying to make it up. Their manager reimbursed one night of valet and I thought that should cover the cost of car wash. I took the car to a premium car wash and the stains didn’t go away. I need to hire professional cleaning to take the stains off and pay double the cost, just because a valet staff didn’t care to look around before parking my car. It’s ridiculous. I have before and after carwash photos and plan to file a complaint with hotel manager next. I’ll update this post after I hear back.

It makes the room much larger yet if you want privacy, you can also close the sliding door but normally you leave it open so the room becomes much larger. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in San Antonio. The location is great also. Close to the River Walk but not filled with tourists walking by your hotel every day like those on the River Walk. We have stayed on the River Walk several times in the past. I much prefer the location of this hotel as it was very private and the outside garden area gave you a feeling of being in a tropical oasis.

I loved how everyone made sure our stay was amazing the front staff was very sweet and helpful each time we needed anything. All the staff here in general were great! Made our stay even better.

Beautiful property! You feel like you are in an oasis. Great bar area outside and the room with balcony was beautiful and welcoming.

The hotel it’s self is amazing but we stayed 2 night and had to pay over 100 in parking soooo keep that in mind 🙃and if we did valet we would have had to pay 60$ per day so probably should have just done valet we just didn’t think the self parking would cost so much lol

Shower head was nasty and crusty

The restaurant food was also surprisingly delicious — everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Dinner was amazing. One of my favorite parts was definitely the pool area. It had such a romantic atmosphere, especially at night, and the water was perfectly warm. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day. The staff truly made the experience even better. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful from check-in to check-out. They were always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations and I would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, clean, and romantic getaway!

Beautiful hotel, valet is pricey around $70.00 per night, but other than that we had a great stay. Lots to do in the area and staff was very friendly.

Hands down a great luxury hotel. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Everyone that you talk to is determined to make your stay as perfect as possible. The room was in perfect condition. Comfortable enough to let our 1 year old walk around. We will definitely be returning.

This was our first visit to San Antonio, and we had a terrific time exploring the city and the extended river walk. Would have been great to have had one additional day there as our weather one day was a bit cooler and rainy.

The location is great - walking distance to convention center, a park next door, and restaurants; very clean The rooms are weird - you walk into a large open bathroom right at the sink, shower & toilet have opaque glass doors & a sliding door into bedroom. OK for couples but not a lot of privacy when others are with you.

We've been waiting for the re-opening of this beautiful property. My favorite place to stay in San Antonio. I had the good luck of having to drive through SA on my way to visit a customer, and booked a room. First time since the re-do, so excited to see what they had done, as we absolutley loved the old property. They kept the overall feel of it, kept most of the landscaping and upgraded restaurant, bars and pool. Located in a part of the La Villita area near the Hemisfair grounds, it's a sweet oasis in the middle of SA. Breakfast was FAB. Service was outstanding. LOVE IT. We were sad the peacocks were gone, but were told they went to a sanctuary and were happy. Valet parking is VERY expensive. There is a public lot very near, so a good option.

I think this hotel and the Kimpton next door are really amazing places, theyre built on top of some old properties so they have both new and old feel. Amenities and restaurants are fantastic. Staff was great. my only real. complain was parking; to valet is excessive at $70 a night, and the public parking is not always available for overnight- in fact i had to move my car to a farther lot for overnight and the lot attendant was a real jerk.

Secluded in the downtown San Antonio. walkable distance to main attractions and convention center but at the same time in a quiet area. Staff was wonderful, details were impeccable. I will definitely return!

Lovely stay! I would highly recommend. The restaurant, pool, and spacious outdoor gardens were so beautiful. Our room had a small sitting deck. Next time I want try the spa amenities. Definitely will stay again.

Terrace was never cleaned within 5 days. We received the terrace dirty and it got worse. The asignated golf cart had used cans, bottles and general waste. The airconditioning in the villa is extremely loud. The sofa bed eas not prepared at our arrival. We had to do it by ourselves

My go to property in San Antonio. I love the design and location. The outdoor bar and restaurant area is great for evenings! The rooms are modern and fresh. Valet parking prices are a bit outrageous.

MINUS A BILLING ISSUE I HAD TO DISCUSS WITH MANAGEMENT; my wife and I enjoyed absolutely everything during our stay here. Highly will consider returning next time we’re in town.

We were very impressed with the staff in welcoming us from the valet to the front desk. Once we toured the property my wife and I were amazed at what a great vibe the hotel had. The bars were well stocked and the bartender Justin was very attentive to what we asked for. We also ate dinner at the bar and the chef brought our steak to us personally. We will definitely be back!

The hotel ended up charging me 50 dollars more during check in. They sent me a note that they will accommodate me for early check in. I was 4 hrs early and the front desk lady was adamant to charge additional money, even when I told her that I was notified there won't be any additional cost.

However, parking was a downside. The cost is $70 per day, which I found quite expensive. Additionally, on weekends, nearby parking lots are often reserved, making parking even more inconvenient.

Bar and amenities were nice. What you need to know about this hotel is the PARKING. The hotel offers $70 valet, which seems like a lot….. but BEWARE that your other offers will have you (anxiety riddled and watching your parking timer on your phone) paying $30 every 4-hour period totaling over $100 to stay the night there. So factor that in when paying for the room on top of that. Also, their terrible iron and ironing board which kept collapsing while using it, stained and ruined my anniversary night dress. Fun times. Other than these annoyances, the hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were all nice. I will say the check in process time per guest could be *greatly* reduced- there was no line and to check us in had us standing there at least ten minutes if not more.

Trying to get valet to bring the vehicle up was a 30-1hr wait . The valet parking is $71 plus tax a night not no free parking what so ever . Mind you we are supposed to trust valet with our vehicle/keys they lost 3 guest keys alone and wrecked one’s vehicle. First & last time staying here the property is beautiful but not worth the extra stress.

When arriving check in was smooth and easy. The staff is so enjoyable, everyone was so kind and helpful. Secondly the room was clean, and the bathroom as well! Which is something I am constantly worried about, so it was a relief to be able to relax knowing our environment was clean. Thirdly I'm not sure what scents the hotel uses throughout, but everywhere we went smelt so lovely. We will definitely be returning! Thank you all.

The room was clean and spacious. I had a great view of downtown and The Tower of Americas. Every room has a balcony to relax on. It was in a great walking location to most areas with plenty of nice restaurants around. The pool was heaven and the food and drinks at Anaqua bar were so good! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel.

The bathroom was leaking water out of the shower door when showering. Dusty and tile needs detailed cleaning. The staff was excellent. Did not use the spa. La Villita nearby and plenty of restaurants nearby.

I booked a room with a bathtub on Expedia, but upon arrival, I was told that only suites had bathtubs. They gave me a discount, but I had to pay an extra $300 per night for an upgrade. When providing service on a real estate portal, I believe the hotel, not the customer, should be the one providing the information accurately. However, the tub had a broken drain, and since I couldn't call someone every time I needed to use it, I had to buy a screwdriver, manually open the drain, and drain the water. Since the part wasn't available, they had to call the front desk every time I needed to drain the water. The lack of parking was a real shame for this hotel, and I would have preferred a hotel with parking further away from the Riverwalk. The service was worse than the Holiday Inn. For the price, they lacked basic amenities (parking, broken bathtub, etc.), and even though it was a suite, they didn't offer coffee service. Since I was there for business and leisure, I didn't complain, but I don't think I'd go back.

Loved this hotel. Front desk staff was friendly upon checkin and explained everything we needed to know. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with a direct view of the hemisfair for the new years fireworks and it was wonderful. The bar and outdoor are was great. We loved the gardens. Definitely would stay here again!

Bacon on bacon, egg and English Muffin sandwich wasn’t bacon. It was pork belly. In other words, mostly fat and one piece was over 1 inch thick making it impossible to bite into. Also, it came on a bagel, not a muffin.

The valet and self-parking situation is not merely inconvenient—it is demonstrably unsafe. Our vehicle was left in the valet's custody overnight , and during that time, it was vandalized and an attempt was made to drive it off the premises. The attempt was unsuccessful, but our vehicle is now inoperable, leaving us stranded. Facing this profoundly disruptive situation, the valet's best offer has been to offset their overpriced parking fee—a gesture that is both insulting and entirely inadequate to the gravity of the damage and distress caused. While we now navigate the complex process with our insurance and, presumably, theirs, we are met with a frustrating and unacceptable lack of communication from management. A final, unequivocal warning to future guests: PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK. The security of your vehicle cannot be assured here. What began as a stylish retreat has ended in a logistical nightmare, and the hotel's response has been sorely lacking in both responsibility and care.

There was a lot of construction when I stayed and inconvenient parking. Hotel also charged me $358 and is expected to give me a refund for the error but has not yet followed through. It’s been 4 months now! I will not be going there again.

It took over 30 minutes to pull in the check in. Buses were parked on both sides of the road and blocking guests from entering and leaving. Then when we went to check in we had been moved to the kimpton instead. The staff at the plaza was very nice but not at the kimpton. We were treated rudely

My wife & I chose this hotel for my birthday staycation. The staff was very welcoming. We were even upgraded to a better garden view room. The room was very comfortable & quiet. Modern finishes. There was no free breakfast, but we did order breakfast to the room which arrived very quickly. It was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel.

He asked for medium well and got scrambled. 😩😩overall we were pleased with valet, checkin, and hotel. Need a few fire pits in the winter. Thanks. Would stay here again.

No feeling of upscale accommodation here. All the staff were great. They made the stay much more pleasurable than it would’ve been. We called ahead to get a porter to come to our room because we both have a disability so we needed help. After 30 minutes they never came and then more than 30 min to get the car after paying $59 a day valet. Won’t stay again.

We had no clue we were going to be charged $150 deposit after I already paid for my room, then I was given a $25 card “COMPLIMENTARY” for something at the cafe and ended up having to pay for what I ordered plus another $25 “destination fee” whatever that means. This hotel poked our eyes out left and right with over charges & staff giving false information and about of miscommunication from the moment we stepped foot in the hotel.

Beautiful property. Excellent bar and restaurant on site. Clerk at check in was very short with us and a bit snobby. Room was gorgeous. Mostly clean but had a towel smeared with makeup. Robes need updating, very rough. Valet parking is $59. Not ideal but expected at this kind of property. A bit of a walk if staying on further end from elevators.

The customer service at this hotel is unmatched and that is from everyone we came into contact with. Rather the valet, front desk, the bellhop, and the restaurant staff everyone wanted to ensure we were satisfied. This was an extremely busy weekend with a concert in town and they could have been overwhelmed with the demands but not here. Kudos to the leadership setting the right expectations and the amazing staff for delivering. Hotel was extremely clean and well kept. We highly recommend!

Great place to stay and easy to get to food and river walk. Only thing to be aware of is don’t velvet park. $60 a day and they park under trees and bird poop. Also didn’t lock our car.

Second year staying here for a quick weekend getaway. Ticks the boxes for my husband and I and really convenient distance from Yamagata park and splash pad for our toddler.

First: Hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The scent floating through the vents is very relaxing. The food and drinks are pretty good. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The amenities are really good. Although I wish the pool chairs were a little cleaner. But when you have pool parties over the weekend, they are probably hard to maintain day to day. Drawbacks: upon checkin, I was given a room with no balcony and no view. Nobody should ever get that room. I think it was because I booked through Hotels.com, and maybe they give the snicklefritz to Hotels.com customers. But I asked to move rooms and was immediately accommodated. The 2nd morning I was there, there was a roach in my room. I understand they can’t control things like this all the time but, I have a serious fear of roaches and it disturbed my comfort level. Another thing, the pool bar had sooo many bee’s. I got stung! But the staff had tweezers and ointment which helped tremendously. But maybe investing in some bug zappers or something could have helped. Lastly, I had breakfast one morning, asked for decaf, and was served caffeinated coffee from a decaf pot. The only reason why I am complaining about this is because I am highly sensitive to caffeine and the side effects ruined my whole day. But I was comped breakfast. I highly appreciate the staff for being so accommodating. This is really the only place I stay in SA.

This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Food was incredible. Staff was amazing. Everything at the hotel was clean and felt luxurious. Without a doubt I’d stay here again.

The hotel was great! We came for my boyfriend's birthday and when we were leaving he mentioned that they had the best hospitality of any place we have ever stayed. The parking was a concern of mine because I seen that it was $60 per night, but there is a lot that you can rent out that is walking distance from the hotel. It is literally right in front of where they valet cars. PMC is the company's name that owns the lot. The perks to using this lot vs valet is that you can walk to and from your vehicle with no problem, and you can extend the parking from your phone. It was $25 for 10 hours. The River Walk was in walking distance of the hotel. There is a lot of construction going on, but there is construction all over downtown San Antonio so that's not the hotels fault. Overall it was a great weekend for us!

The room was beautiful and clean. We were disappointed with how hot the room was. We tried to turn down the AC but it wouldn’t work all night. The pool water was very murky, I didn’t want to let the kids swim in it, so that was disappointing as we were only staying one night. We went to dinner and the drink I ordered “texas sunset” I think, was watered down. They did switch it out for a wine that was delicious though. My kids got their food and finished before my husband and I even got ours. The service was slow, but the food was pretty good. We also got charged a $150 maintenance fee each day, even though we were only staying 1 night. Didn’t expect that $300 charge, although they said it should fall off my account, we’ll see. 3 out 5. I don’t think I’ll stay here again.

They need to inform you of prices for valet parking 60 is a bit much. Also no handicap parking so you have no option unless you want to walk 10 minutes to get to self parking. They charge for everything. So while hotel is nice its not worth it to have to pay 150 hold fee plus 60 for valet parking on top of roo. Prices

This is our third stay at The Plaza, but our first stay since it was remodeled. It is an oasis in the city. The Plaza stands out from other hotels in that it has a wonderful staff that goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and a fabulous courtyard with outdoor amenities that make moments with loved ones priceless.

As a newly renovated property, the Plaza San Antonio proved to be a relaxing, comfortable, fun and satisfying stay! The king room is beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. The outdoor areas, including two bars, seating areas and a spectacular pool made the stay all the more perfect! It’s also close to many great restaurants and attractions!

Loved our stay over all it was modern and clean all around, downside was the bartender was rude when we claimed our voucher he was still even upset after we opened a tab & stayed for a few drinks and last downside was received random unexplained charges from the hotel after checking out.

A+++!! We ended up at the Plaza San Antonio due to another hotel’s booking was cancelled by mistake during a conference week. We frantically looked for another hotel within a walking distance to the convention center, for a reasonable price. We got the jackpot! Everyone at the Plaza San Antonio was so kind and helpful. The hotel was spotless and luxurious! We had NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER!! We will come back for sure!

Everything you would expect if you’re looking for a modern clean hotel with friendly staff. The $25 day per diem and the complementary drinks you get to compensate for your daily fee more than makes up for the cost and they were very organized about. It was not an issue at checkout at all.

The hotel overall is very nice. Especially love the pool and cabana area. Very disappointed in the Corine bar service. The bar staff members were not friendly, not attentive, acted as if they made world class drinks but delivered below average results. I waited at the bar for over half an hour before an acknowledgement most times when getting new drinks. Was ready to rack up a big bar tab to celebrate my birthday with family. Their loss

We did a staycation and loved every minute of it. The food was excellent and we love the pool area!

Room and bathroom were spotless. We dined at the restaurant Corinne and we were also pleased with our meal. The street surrounding the hotel is under construction but it didn’t prevent us from walking around. When the construction is finished though, it will be a really nice, well located area to enjoy. It seems that more restaurants and entertainment are coming up soon.

I’m giving 3 stars because the piped-in nonstop music throughout the property drove me crazy. I found this techno-pseudo electronic A.I. written corporate “pop” to be way too loud and Stress-inducing. You can hear this “Muzak” at the pool, in the entrance area, in the patio areas, in the elevators, everywhere. Whose idea was this? One other thing—there is NO LOBBY or no Ave to sit and chill with friends other than the bar. Again, great staff, super attentive, but this particular corporate resort model, not for me.

The hotel was nice staff very friendly only downside was valet took over an hour to get our vehicle and no microwave in none of the rooms.

This was a beautiful hotel near the Riverwalk but with peace and quiet when needed. The hotel had wonderful dining spaces (indoor, open air, shaded outdoor, and poolside. The pool was lovely too with plenty of room and both sunny and shady areas. Everyone on staff was extremely friendly including front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, and wait staff. Extremely! They made our stay very enjoyable and I would highly recommend this when you stay in San Antonio.

Service, Service, Service - outstanding! From Ian and the front desk who checked us in and gave us the property scoop, Louis our Bellman and Ray with valet - could not have delivered better service. Sometimes it’s the staff that make your stay and they delivered as well as Kat poolside. Would definitely stay there again. The only negative was the bartender in Corrine - not friendly at all - not even a good morning. Clearly he was put out with my free coffee and lost out on a nice tip.

We stayed three nights. Our room was spotlessly clean, very quiet and comfortable. The restaurant is lovely and the food was great (a must is the Navajo Fry Bread!). But the staff were the most wonderful part of our experience. Special thanks to Tracy in the restaurant and Jorge in the bar for their excellent service.

We had not been to the Plaza since after the renovations, and we were so pleasantly surprised. The entire facility got a facelift and it is quite a unique and magnificent gem of a hotel. We came from out of town for a weekend of relaxation and this hotel does not disappoint. The gardens are beautiful and bursting with color. The food was excellent and we slept peacefully with minimal noise. The staff went by out of their way to make our stay memorable. We will definitely be coming back!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was walking distance to Riverwalk and the Alamo. The onsite restaurant was very good also. It was a nice option when we were too tired to walk to eat !

We came to the Plaza for a quick one night birthday getaway and were so pleased with our whole experience. It was an Oasis and felt like we were at a destination resort. It was the perfect place to go and get away from everything. Very relaxing- wonderful attentive staff- fun atmosphere- delicious food- beautiful facilities. I highly recommend!

As for the hotel restaurant, the ambiance was nice and the servers were friendly, which we appreciated. However, the wait times for food were extremely long. We dined there three times during our stay, and each time we waited at least an hour for our meals. This might be understandable if the restaurant had been busy, but there were never more than two parties dining at the same time. We hope management takes a look at this, as it really impacted the dining experience. Aside from that, we enjoyed our time at the hotel.

Overall I’d be back, a great location. We loved renting the bikes!

It was such a beautiful stay! The hotel was absolutely stunning and extremely clean. The elegance and charm make it look like something out of a movie! Definitely coming back! Service is top notch as well! Didn't get to use the complimentary voucher provided but it was such a nice gesture!

I stayed here with my family. We had two pre-teen boys and it was a great experience for all ages. The staff were amazing. My server out at the pool bar, Jessica was a true gem all weekend and the spa experience was a 10/10. We will be back!

The property is a little oasis - private and luxurious feeling right in the middle of everything. Accommodations were pleasant. Dining offered a great menu and quality on site, as well as top-notch restaurants off site nearby. Many great areas to relax inside and out. Altogether a great stay!

They accidentally gave us a room that one of their employees was painting. When we went back down to get a different room they were so apologetic to us. It really wasn’t a big deal. They gave us an upgraded room, the front desk clerk apologized, the manager allied us in the room to apologize, they then sent us a piece of cheesecake and then after we got back from the concert we went to we got a hand written apology note. They went above and beyond to make our one night stay fantastic.

This property is great, my only issue was noise level. To be fair I live in the country and I haven’t stayed in the city in a.whole but I could hear every noise from cars at 1am to little ones in the hallway.Over all this property is great.

Plaza San Antonio was absolutely wonderful. We were there for an intense work conference and the property was a haven to return to in the evening. Food and drinks at all of the restaurants were great. I was there with four colleagues, and we were all sad to leave. Would 100% stay again.

I arrived early and wanted to pre-register so when i came back at 9 PM i could just go to my room. Well i was surprised when they told me there was a fee for that. Not at all happy so i didnt. No place on the property to park. Manditory valet parking. However, the room was very comfortable and clean. Strange though, that you enter into the room through the bathroom. Still, it was a nice room. Would prefer coffee instead of expresso in the room but all in all, it was a nice experience but i think i will go elsewhere next time im in town
