Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk

It’s in the middle of my favorite city. And we got to enjoy the celebration for the SPURS winning the Western Conference Championship! We are big fans and loved the location and being able to be right in the middle of it all!

Great experience. My room was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Located in a great location for the convention center and the river walk. Walking distance to many good dining and entertainment spots on the river walk

Everything is on point ! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. And the restaurant was amazing! Are there several times , just simply delicious. Absolutely no complaints!!!

Front desk was not as expect in a Marriott hotel. Not helpful and not courteous as if we are annoying them. Asked for manager and she was on point with the customer service. The room was overpriced in my opinion. Overall was not pleased with the quality of customer service at front desk. The bell men and the room service staff were very pleasant. Just didn’t get a warm impression welcome from the front desk I expected more of the Marriott.

Overall, Good Experience. A bit dated compared to its Big Brother across the street. The staff was great, and Wendy in the bar is an asset.

Matthew was professional, kind and helpful. Room was clean except for floors in closet and bathroom, including a nail on bathroom floor. Balcony could also use some more detailed cleaning. Breakfast included we purchased and there was some confusion there that was sorted out after a few minutes but did put a damper on our first morning experience. Overall comfortable stay.

Everything was amazing from the valet staff to the front desk very pleasant and welcoming. I will definitely be choosing this hotel for my next trip to San Antonio.

The location was close to major venues of interest For a facility marketed as a Riverwalk site I was charged $25. to have a room that viewed the Riverwalk. On site parking expensive. No restaurant for dinner / food at the bar. Another better Marriott across the street.

I had a good stay at the Marriott Riverwalk. The location is perfect—right by the river, making it easy to enjoy the sights and access nearby restaurants and attractions. I especially loved the view from my room. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, the hotel looks nice and feels well-maintained. While the location and staff were great, there were several areas that could be improved. The room was just okay, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as expected—it had peeling paint in the bathtub and was dusty in several spots. The amenities also need attention; the pool table was old, and some of the cues were missing tips. Valet parking took longer than expected to bring the car, which was inconvenient. On top of that, I was charged unexpected fees that weren’t mentioned at the time of booking, leading to extra costs I hadn’t anticipated. This lack of transparency was disappointing and impacted my overall experience.

The location was excellent to the Riverwalk and the Alamo Dome. Pretty view of the Christmas lights/river. The toilet was a low-flow flush, and no matter how many times we flushed, there were still stains on the toilet that wouldn't clear. We had three people in our room and utilized the sofa bed. The mattress was hideous. Hardly folded flat and was VERY thin and uncomfortable.

Staff was great. Stayed here for new years and although the staff was extremely busy, they were very nice and our check in wait wasn't longer than 10 minutes. Valet was a bit pricy but it's not like other hotels that you pay for valet and parking which was nice. Our river view was excellent and more than I expected. Rooms were clean. River is at your feet literally. I will definitely be staying here for my next stay. It was worth every penny. The bar is open seating which isn't bad itself but we waited for more than 30 minutes and no one had even acknowledged us until I asked a waited. Still I left. It could have been because it was new years so I may give it a try next time

Fabulous location, stylish decor, restaurant and coffee shop are excellent, very clean, friendly/helpful staff, ample room size, lighting in rooms (warm-hued bulbs!). We asked for adjacent rooms and they gave us adjoining rooms, which was even better! In-room coffee service!!! I greatly dislike the paper coffee cups!! To pay top dollar and have everything be top notch, and then have only paper cups feels cheap — and is not sustainable. And, the service had only 2 packets of creamer in it — which is only enough for a single cup. So in order for both me and mom to have a single serving of coffee each, I had to ask for extra supplies. Why so chintzy? Just supply the rooms with enough for the number of people in the party and the length of the stay. Assume two cups of coffee per person per day. And please give us ceramic mugs! I also would have liked a microwave in our room, but that’s not so critical.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were wonderful and the hotel is in the perfect location for access to the river walk and everything else downtown.

I really enjoyed the water view room with balcony, and a fantastic view across the River Walk and downtown skyline. It was great to have full control of the air conditioner, and to adjust lighting with the window curtains. The housekeeping was excellent. I enjoyed the hotel bar and lounge with outdoor patio, with great food, and really appreciated that you had an excellent Texas brewed West Coast IPA on tap (Art Car IPA). I also appreciated the free tickets to local attractions, especially the River Walk boat tour. It was great to be able to walk right out of the hotel onto the River Walk. I was also happy to see your Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda, featuring a portrait of Flaco Jimenez. ¡Viva Flaco¡ Overall, this was a great experience, and I will be sure to return. On one occasion, there was a bit of slowness in service at the bar/lounge.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The young lady at the front desk upgraded our room when we told her that we were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. We didn't ask for the upgrade. That was impressive!

Location was great. staff was friendly. Property was clean. Maid service. Never got more cream or sugar for my coffee and one day the room was not cleaned even though I was gone for most of the day. Pool was ice cold.

My only complaint was the desk in my room didn’t work and I managed by setting up in the lobby. Come to find out no one had ever put the request into engineering to fix it. I had issues w no hot water even after I shared the issue. Also phone didn’t work in room & then tv quit! I felt like my room was jinxed. I moved to an upgraded room which was great. No issues in it.

The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean; the floorpans made sense. The hotel staff was accommodating and the hotel was conveniently located to the convention center; all I had to do is cross the street with no walking involved, it was so easy.

I usually stay at Marriott brand hotels but this time was exceptional. My favorite person was Ernest. He's the Bellman and took our luggage up but thoroughly explained the elevators, and a bunch of other things for us. Everyone we encountered on this trip was superb for real. Super nice and hospitable. We'll be staying there again for sure.

From the check-in to the departure, the staff was great! This hotel is in the perfect location to walk everywhere, is clean, has a great workout room, and great food options. We will definitely stay here again!

Only issue is we had to pay $60 a night for valet parking. They do not offer self parking. You can park in the convention center garage for $10 but there is no in and out. Also the garage becomes full fast.

I’ve always booked through Expedia and been given the room that I booked. I’ve never been told this before or had this happen so I’m super disappointed and most likely will not stay at the Marriot again.

The hotel had an awesome pool area for the kids with many games for us to play. The pool was not too big but just enough for what we needed. There was so much within walking distance. We were able to do a bunch of activities without spending a bunch of time trying to get there.

I booked two rooms at the property for October during their Day of the dead event weekend. Upon check in , there was no available parking for us as they were all taken by the visitors that came to see the riverwalk parade. We could not find any parking for about 30 minutes and then had to pay an additional fee for parking away from the property. I was also informed that I had to pay an additional $240 for both nights for both rooms together for an incidental fee. When I called ahead of time was told they did not have any additional fees. During check in the staff informed us we had a $25 attraction fee that could be used for any attraction of our desire. We were given a piece a paper and were told to take it the desired attraction we were going to go to. We chose the riverwalk boats, however were told we had to go back to the hotel and receive our tickets at the front desk. We still had to pay for the tickets. This was my first time staying at the marriott and will not return. The only good thing about this hotel was the fact housekeeping came during our stay and cleaned the room. For the price of this hotel, I would rather spend it somewhere else. Would not recommend.

This stay was for me and my 12 yr old for his birthday, we were local tourist and decided to enjoy 48hrs, the hotel was a welcomed rest stop with an amazing pool where he played an made new freinds and the restaurant was by far our favorite meal that weekend, the bourbon tres leche is to die for!!

Quick weekend getaway. I understand the security measures but the new " secure" elevator feature was EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. The rest if our group was on a different floor and we had to meet up in the lobby every time. Theres got to be a better way to ensure security and comfort TOGETHER

I love that the property was very well maintained. It was clean and it smelled nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I love the convenient location to my convention across the street and it's close to the riverwalk. My only critique was the door to the bathroom in my room. It did not close all the way. Great facility

I was in town for a conference, and the location of property was very convenient. I could walk to the Convention Center. Also there were many opportunities for dining and shopping within walking distance. Hotel was clean and neat. I ordered food from the bar and it was very good for a fair price. Overall my stay was comfortable and pleasant.
