Inn on the Riverwalk

The Inn has a wonderful staff, they are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend for a vacation from the main downtown area. Thank you Roland, Margaret and Vanessa.

The room was very old and it was hard to "climb" onto the bed that was very high up. Bathroom was small and overall, if you like an old house, this was the place for you. However, I didn't think it was good value for how much we paid for the stay.

The room was as described. I loved being on the River Walk, but away from the hustle and bustle. It was within perfect walking distance to the hustle and bustle. Everyone was so nice.

I absolutely love staying at Inn on the Riverwalk; it’s my home away from home. I enjoy seeing the staff and knowing that they will take good care of me during my stay. Everyone is so kind and friendly. I don’t like that they now charge for parking.

I did not like the feeling of being rushed at breakfast time. Food options were limited, Also, the air conditioner did not cool adequately and Jacuzzi tub did not work properly. When I complained, there was no real concern or offer to do anything about it or make any adjustments on my bill.

We had an issue with Door Dash attempting to deliver food to the Inn on the Riverwalk. We ended up having to go pick up the food.

We like the quiet that the place offered and the view of the San Ant River. The staff was especially friendly and very welcoming to us when we first arrived and throughout our stay. The breakfast each day was delicious. We walked along the river and even had lunch at the Texas River Bar, which was absolutely delicious. We're planning on coming back in October. We had an issue with Door Dash attempting to deliver food to the Inn on the Riverwalk. We ended up having to go pick up the food.

The location was perfect. Super close to the city center and it was an easy walk to get downtown. The staff was fantastic. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The bathroom was a little small and it was kind of hard to find a spot to plug in a flat iron to get ready in the morning.

Half a mile away from the Riverwalk, if you couldn’t walk it, you would have to drive and pay to park again. You have to pay to park at the B&B. Your room never ever gets dark. Looks like you have a light on all night long when don’t. Old creaky floors, so you can hear everybody walking around specially the people above you. And your breakfast was not made to order you got what they made.

Was a little noisy in kitchen while breakfast was being prepared. You'll awaken unless you're a sound sleeper.

We had a wonderful time at the Inn. The breakfast was very good and hand made just in time for every traveler. The person was very, very nice and worked very hard to please all guests. We normally get up early and she was already there at 6am to start preparing for the break-fast at 8:30. The room was very cozy though a second chair would have been nice. But on the other hand, there were plenty of chairs on the porch outside and I spent quite a bit of time there since it was so quiet and nice outside. The owner stopped by every morning during breakfast and talked with everyone which was also a very nice touch. The house outside could use a new coat of paint and a second chair in our room would have been also nice for the evenings. Everything else was very clean and very, very comfy with nice pictures, and other things. It felt like someones home and not a hotel.

The location was excellent, and the property was clean and tidy. Just felt a bit tired, but wouldn’t say that was a reason to dislike it at all.

The friendliest place we have ever stayed! This relaxed friendliness caused the guests to be the same and breakfast became an enjoyable social event which included the whole room. Oh and breakfast was freshly cooked for you and again one of the best. Our bathroom looked quite new. The place in general was old, all the furniture is old and rickety but it is spotlessly clean. When you approach for the first time, you may think you have made a bad choice to stay. The exterior looks uncared for and in desperate need of maintenance. (But persevere, this little hotel is a delight)

the fact I was charged 98.00 to park infront of the house is stayed at, was not aware of this fee until I checked in. The breakfast was lacking. The room I got was not comfortable, the bed was not comfortable, the room was HOT. and humid. I got a fan to help piah the air around from unit that was below the window (like you'd see in motel rooms) the bathroom is extremely small, the house is very old and I did not know it would be as hard to be below other guest. I kept being woken up by them scooting or slamming items on the floor. Very tight enterance to the door for the room. Yes, I booked through a 3rd party however that does not mean I should have a disappointing experience at a location I book a stay at. the area of the rover this is located is not where you want to be if you're wanting to enjoy the river walk. That was the whole reason I booked that location for my stay. Was greatly disappointed in the area.

Location and the quirkiness of the building. Good parking available as well. Clean room. Disappointed in the breakfast, no choice and the first morning there was no gluten free bread. No gluten free cereals either. Portions small. This was the most disappointing part. AC in the room was noisy but necessary!

There were no facial tissues in the room. One of the most important amenities advertised for this room, the corkscrew, was not provided. Such an amazing little bed and breakfast! My honey and I loved the location. It’s on the riverwalk but far enough away from the bars and restaurants that you don’t hear the noise. The room was comfortable and cool. Bathroom a tad bit small but I was expecting that. Overall it was one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed.

While not without charm, the inn is run down and faded - not what we expected for the steep price. Beat up furniture is not antique, just old.. stained upholstery on chairs.. bathroom tiny.. all polyester bedding.. The staff/owners were friendly and helpful. Quiet area and a short walk to the area on the Riverwalk with restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious and the owners were very pleasant and accommodating. The walk to the central part of the River Walk was about 10-15 minutes away.

Use of Lift Services was an excellent way to move around Houston. The second floor of the Main house has a great view of the city and the River Walk and a large balcony; if stairs are a challenge for you, try to avoid this Suite.

This property is quite unique and really a hidden treasure. It is in a peaceful area with easy access to the Riverwalk area. The Breakfast was always made to order and the staff was wonderful ... always asking if I needed anything or if they could do anything for me. I will definitely return.

It was amazing. Our room is really cute. The service from the front desk was amazing. The made to order breakfast was delicious. And we had a great time. The property is in a great location. The website needs to be updated with more accurate photos for the suite we were in. The facilities need some repair. It was an interesting property and I think the other suites connected to the main building would have been better.

We had a delightful stay at the Inn. Our room was clean and very comfortable, off a charming porch that overlooked the Riverwalk. We ate our dinner the night we left on that porch. Just delightful. More generally, the location of the Inn, on the Riverwalk just a bit south of the commercial/hotel/restaurant area, was ideal.

Excellent location on the River walk. Staff was exceptionally welcoming, helpful, responsive. Facilities perfectly adequate -- older home, comfortable. Unable to take advantage of breakfast, so they left big muffins and energy bars in our room for our long walking days.

We like that it was on the River Walk. It is a quite area of the River Walk. The breakfast was amazing. The room was clean and very cute. The staff was wonderful. The only two complaints I have is the bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom needs better lighting.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights for our little get away. The breakfast was wonderful and made to order. Their service was spot on! We couldn't have asked for a better host. Loved the Bed and Breakfast and the view and peacefulness. Not a bad walk to River Walk. Was a little disappointed about being charged for parking and for the bikes they offer you to ride, was not told about that up front and didn’t see it on their website! But overall it was a beautiful place and had a great time!

The location was perfect and our room beautiful and thoughtfully appointed. They were graciously willing to accommodate some special needs we had. I would certainly stay there again if we are in San Antonio and would recommend it to friends and family

I wish we could visit here every weekend! We stayed in the mockingbird suite which was in a separate house. It was fantastic to have our own patio and the room was spacious. The loaction is ideal as it is just steps from the riverwalk but far enough from the large crowds. There was a map in my room that had highlightsed areas of interest, that was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely, the ladies know how to cook! The owner made sure to check in on how we were doing and introduced my two small boys to the chickens and bunnies on the property. We're planning to come back soon

Owner and staff did everything possible to insure a great stay. The personal connection as well as the experience of staying in a Victorian on the banks of the San Antonio River made it more like visiting grandma. Soooo much better than a hotel. We'll be back.

Overall this place was fantastic. The room was clean and COLD when we arrived. Yes the AC worked great. The mattress was comfortable and linens were very clean. The fresh cooked breakfast in the morning was also great. The only downside if you can call it that is that it's about a 15-20 min walk to the main riverwalk area.

Quaint and personable. The staff were amazing and treated us like family. They gave us good suggestions for activities in the area. Can't go wrong here if you like B&B.

1st time ever staying at a B&D and my girlfriend and I enjoyed it. It's small but cozy. Didn't wake up early enough for breakfast, so I can't tell you much about that. We got in way after check in so it was so easy to get into our room with the personal code. I most definitely come back again. Thank you!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was gracious and helpful. We LOVED being away from a big, noisy, chain hotel!! We will definitely return!!

The breakfast was one scrambled egg with one slice off toast two small ling sausages and maybe two table spoons off hash browns. It was good but it wouldn't off been enough to fill my 8 year old granddaughter. Our room was so small they only had one chair to set in. There was a small desk that had a regular chair. The electrical outlet was way over loaded and when we got there there wasn't even a smoke alarm. But they did finely install one. There is no access.for the handicap to your room no ramp. There not putting any money in the up keep off the place its easy to see that. There is no one there after 3pm. So for when we chexked in at 2pm we had to wait untill 7pm for someone to come and fix the very small.tv so we could wait until it got cooler.to go out.for some reason the reviews were in the 4.5 and 5. I can't understand how. I give it a maybe 2 out off five. If yaw don't believe me then see for yourselves. I talked to both my neighbors and they had the same opinion . The people were very nice. I give them a 5 out off 5. . We had an emergency and tried to change our dates by two days because my mother in law had to go in for an emergency operation. They wouldnt and would charge another half the cost to change. Not right any other would off with no problem.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. It felt like home away from home. The breakfast was great. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. It was also nice to meet the owner of the bed and breakfast.

The entire staff is excellent. They are very helpful and gave us great ideas on where to go and which way to get there. Breakfast was very good. Cooked while we sat down and had coffee. It is right on the river, a great location.

Riverwalk are is very busy on the weekends, but, the Inn is nice and quiet.

The owner and staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. We appreciated the room upgrade after discovering a bee in our room. Thank you for taking great care of us. We will definitely stay again!

Inn on the Riverwalk was exceptional! This will definitely be our "regular" place when we visit San Antonio in the future.

Breakfast and coffee were excellent! The staff were very friendly and always greeted us :)

Inn was in a great area, able to walk to the Alamo and Tower of Americas. They had a nice parking lot and dining area. The rooms were a decent size, but the bathroom was really small. Not much room to setup any bathroom stuff. You can hear everyone move around, but we didn't have much of an issue with noise since we stayed in the middle of the week. Breakfast was decent. Overall a family of 4 had a good stay there.

We really enjoyed our stay. Easy to get to, parking lot for guests, great breakfast, and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Although the Inn is on a quiet section of the river, which we appreciated, many attractions are within walking distance.

Location was great. We stayed in the Mockingbird room. The room was good. The bathroom was awkward...sink out in main part of room and not really anywhere to put toiletries and makeup. Stairs we're a little steep for our age. Breakfast was great as was coctail (wine) hour.

Inn on the Riverwalk is located in a quieter area of the riverwalk. It's an easy walk to get to the area with all kinds of restaurants. The accommodations are very roomy and comfortable. The breakfast included is very nice. The owner, Roland, is there each morning to meet all of the guests as they are having breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.
