The property is located right at the center of the river walk - excellent location, great rooms and overall nice upscale feel.

Don’t ever use a third party to book. They overbooked the rooms. Our first night was bumped to a conference room with a pull out couch. The staff really helped make it a great experience

I really enjoyed our stay, customer service was really good and enjoyed the complimentary drinks! Down part is the parking isn't included and it should be posted that is costs $66 dollars to park per night! There is parking walking distance about 5 mins for $10 but still. Location on the Riverwalk was excellent 👌!! Overall I give it 4 stars 🌟 room was clean.

I have stayed at this hotel before and have not been disappointed. This stay was equally satisfying. The room was excellent. It was modern, clean, and very nicely equipped! We had a view of the Alamo from our room window! The staff is extremely friendly, professional and accommodating! The self parking deck is literally right across the street and very convenient. It is worth spending the few extra bucks to stay at this hotel. It is money well spent!!

Great location, beautiful design and super friendly and helpful staff. I booked the corner room and didn’t realize it was referring to an inside corner. Only downside is you didn’t have an outside view only a window facing the interior of the hotel. Not terribly bad, but it would’ve been nice to know at the time of booking. 

Close to events on river walk. Everything was a little pricy. Uber to Alamodome dropped handicapped persons outside of the dome, you had to walk the rest of the way coming back uber would not come inside to pick up. 3 cancelled. Bad experience. We missed our dinner appt

Loved our stay, room was great, bed was comfy great shower, with water pressure and clean towels daily. This was our first visit to San Antonio and everyone was supper nice and helpful. The only recommendation is to ring in the timeshare sales. It was everywhere and within the hotel, it was a bit off putting.

Amazing lobby. Friendly and helpful staff. Right on the River Walk. We booked a River Walk view which it wasn't much of a view. Outside our window (Room 178) was a view of the roof top of the Rainforest Cafe. We could see a corner of the River Walk through the tree branches, but not what we expected.

The Hyatt Regency on the Riverwalk is a beautiful hotel and the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. The hotel location is located at a perfect location for walking to various locations such as the Alamo, restaurants, fast food and shopping without having to drive anywhere. Parking is across the street and had no issues getting quick access in and out when needing to drive. I would recommend staying here and will be back to this hotel when visiting San Antonio in the future.

Our room was moved from the original booking room. The room we were moved to was old and outdated, the beds were terrible, the bathroom tiny and we had to listen loud thumping music until after midnight from the bar downstairs. To enter our room we had to go through a large area that is used for convention gatherings requiring us to walk through all of the people that were having a pre dinner gathering. Worst hotel of our trip. Then upon checkout we weee charged a destination fee in addition to the overpriced parking fee. Beyond ridiculous

Parking was across the street but did not belong to the hotel. It’s a city service and it was pretty pricey. If you want a quieter stay recommend a room not connected and accessible to another room.

Everything about this hotel was top-notch.

Checking was very organized and very friendly. Breakfast was very nice, many choices. Elevators were busy, dominated by a large group checking in.

We were "upgraded" to a larger interior room, but it was an adjoining room that you could hear every word of someone in the next room. As it was "Fiesta week" they put a group of Gen Z's next to us who kept us up until 3am for 2 nights. After calling security "both nights", they finally checked out. One underage partier bragged about getting into bars the 2nd night because they didn't scrutinize her ID. Full disclosure, the hotel did credit me a $100 and a free breakfast for my "inconvenience". The room was clean, but "very basic"... no microwave (except a shared one in the hallway) and no dresser for a week's stay of clothes. The concierge desk was VERY persistent on getting you to go to a time share presentation. EVERYWHERE on the Riverwalk and the mall, hotels are pressuring people to sign up for a "presentation". They offer Visa cash cards, riverboat rides, carriage rides, SeaWorld tickets, free night stays... anything they can to hook you. The invitations are inundating and everywhere, so beware!

we reserve 2 rooms for a wedding, one for the bride and one for me as the groom, we arrived at 2am to check in and when we got to the bride's room the door wouldn't open, we went to the reception and they changed the key and when we got in it didn't work. security came to open it for us because the door was locked from the inside. in the end we got in even though the bride was already afraid to sleep in the room which had a locked door from the inside. it was 3am before the situation with the room was resolved. When we entered the room it smelled strongly of marijuana. we went back to the reception to ask for another room. from the 1st floor they sent us to the 11th floor. when we asked to compensate us for all the time lost they said we would be contacted by email, after a week no one contacted us.

They suggested we valet park our rental car. That was $66 a day! We could self-park in the lot across the street (which is where they valet park) for $55 a day. When we checked in, we asked if there was a cheaper lot close by, and they told us there was a lot for $35 a day which we went to. The next day we found out there was a lot equally close for $10 per day. We wished they had told us about that lot in the first place! That was the only negative about our stay.

Some of the amenities (i.e. bathroom shower and area) need updating. Our air conditioning didn’t cool our room well - always felt humid. Definitely a busy area and loud at night.

Very noisy first night with people screaming and running in and out of rooms. On return second day found our room door left open. Hotel were apologetic but we left early and moved to another hotel.

I thought the front desk clerk was kind of stale. Not very friendly. I was charged for parking twice and only credited once. Rooms were comfortable, but not as luxurious as I had hoped for. I think it’s a little overpriced.

Love the place and location and will stay again, but my bed was very uncomfortable and my TV didn’t work for about an hour. Great location

This hotel was exactly what we wanted. It is located right off the Riverwalk, which can be accessed via the property, The Alamo is a very short walk as well. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a little splurge when coming to San Antonio this hotel is highly recommend. Just note that you will need to pay for either self parking or valet. The valet is only about 10 dollars more than self park and it is well worth it. If checking in close to the check in time make note that getting into the hotel may be a little challenging as many are trying to do the same. Just be patient the valet staff move pretty quickly to allow folks to unload bags and either take the cars or have people move off to do self parking. The roof top pool is EVERYTHING. It overlooks San Antonio. You can sit in one of the pool chairs or lounge in the wicker dome cabana's and listen to music from the Riverwalk or look out at the beautiful view. The only negative was the street noise while sleeping. We were on the second floor on the street side (not Riverwalk side) and could hear a lot of street traffic when trying to sleep. If you are a light sleeper make sure to request a room higher up or bring noise cancelling ear buds/headphones.

Being just a couple of blocks from the Alamo as well as the property being situated along the Riverwalk, you can't go wrong with this property. Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms were very nice, updated and clean. The tiny fridge was my only real complaint.

Great hotel suite for a quick weekend family get away. The wife and two teenagers had lots fun! Very clean suite and had no issues with our stay. Lots of stuff to do nearby: Alamo, Riverwalk, shopping, and restaurants. Was easy to get to downtown and valet parking made everything a breeze.

I did not receive the room I booked and was only given a $20 per night credit for the issue. The room was extremely dusty with a thick layer of dust and hair under the bed and peoples garbage underneath it (we found vapes, other personal items). There were boogers crusted on the headboard. The street noise was abysmal. Never again.

If you’re looking for a hotel that combines convenience, comfort, and a great atmosphere, this is definitely the place to stay in San Antonio. I’ll definitely be back!

Everything was excellent! My Fiancé and I had a blast. We loved everything about it, starting from the look and cleanliness of the hotel to the close proximity that everything was to the hotel. Again, beautiful experience. I will definitely recommend the hotel and if I ever plan to go back to visit San Antonio, I know where I will be staying again. The hotel staff are very nice. This Hyatt classifies itself as a resort but it is not clear why. To us it just felt like a regular city hotel bit past its day. The Saturday night music in the atrium is a bit loud for sleeping in the lower rooms. The restaurant was slow service. The room was comfortable and atmosphere of hotel staff and fellow guests was very good. Great location for downtown attractions including the Alamo!

My two complaints about the hotel are the pocket doors to the bathroom in our room. Very noisy at night. And our toilet had issues. Called the front desk and someone came immediately to fix it. After an hour and leaving to get a part he said it was fixed. It was not. I understand issues happen but someone came to fix it and it want fixed. But the hotel is very nice with access to the riverwalk. Which is a plus.

If you want the River Walk experience, this is the spot. I’ve stayed here multiple times and keep coming back. The location is unbeatable, right on the River Walk and walking distance to everything. Staff is consistently great, the pool is a highlight, and it’s a nice touch that you can get poolside drinks delivered. Only minor downside is check-in can be slow, so plan for that if you're checking in on Saturdays.

Staff was excellent across the board. My only issue with the stay was not their fault had to do with kids that were there for an event for football and we're not part of the hotel guests or staff. A lot of motorcycle and car rubbing outside the hotel at late hours into the morning. The hotel staff calling the police and getting them to get them to leave would have been nice but they seem to be unwilling to do that. Other than that it was a fantastic day and again the staff was excellent

Microwaves available on mostly on floors near ice machines. Marie, our waitress from the QBar restaurant was amazing, informative and very nice and friendly! She deserves a raise Hyatt! Everyone at Hyatt Regency, staff and other hotel guests included, were super nice! The hotel was very clean and the environment as well as the atmosphere felt welcoming! We felt right at home! We will be going back later this year!

Just a great San Antonio Riverwalk staple!

Seeing this situation, we went out for dinner and shopping. When we returned to the front desk around 8:00 p.m., the staff told us that the room we booked was no longer available. I had booked a twin-bed river view room more than three weeks in advance, but they said it was no longer available and asked us to choose either a king-size river view room or another option. This made us feel very unhappy, especially since it was Christmas Eve, which seriously affected our mood. The front desk explained that because we booked through Expedia, they were unable to meet our original room request. Since it was already very late at night, we had no choice but to accept a non–river view twin-bed room. Even then, we had to wait another 45 minutes for the room to be cleaned before we could check in. The toothbrushes and slippers we requested were also not provided. Overall, the check-in experience was very poor, and it made our Christmas unpleasant.

Friendly welcoming staff,location was great, bar food and drinks were yummy,rooms were cleaned well, however the only 2 complaints i have is one the valet took out quarters from my car, and our bed was very uncomfortable. Worn out and dips on the bed caused restless nights and painful stiff back.

The building itself is beautiful and well located on the river walk. Great entrance and the lobby is very welcoming. Paid extra for river view, that’s not worth it, I promise. The windows outside are fairly dirty so light reflects off it when kids and wife tried to take pictures. The beds are lumpy but not over uncomfortable. Not really a complaint just an observation. Air conditioning is horrible, it was either too hot or too cold I changed the setting several times and it was either no air moving or a wind tunnel. The worst of the whole thing is the water pressure, it is literally nonexistent. It barely trickled out of the water head and took forever for us to get clean. Now hear me, it’s not just slow it wouldn’t even fill the entire water head. The restaurant was good, again very friendly staff. The valet’s were awesome and quick, everyone was very helpful. My main issue is that you pay almost double to stay here over some of the other similarly located hotels and they don’t warrant the cost in my opinion. Another couple heard my daughter complaining about the water pressure and said they asked to move rooms because of it but apparently it’s a wider issue. Thanks for listening!

They charge $30 that are not mentioned anywehere. I only saw that on my credit card after I check out I would have never stayed in this trashy Hotel if I knew that WiFi and Water have a fee of $30. Only nasty people would hide such a charge from any reservation or check-in details and then show it as a surprise after you leave

We arrived at six, but our room wasn’t ready, and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes before we could check in. When we finally got to the room and tried to take a shower, there was no hot water. We called for assistance, but it still didn’t work. On the second day, we had to call again, and they finally replaced it. Overall, this hotel was not worth the money we paid.

The room was advertised as riverfront, however, we had no view of the river whatsoever. This is false advertising.

River view disappointing

The room was very clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the thermostat. The room temperature got to 79 degrees in the middle of the night and I was unable to lower the temperature. The thermostat appeared to be locked. It resolved itself in the morning.

We were down with friends to enjoy the river walk. Hotel is in a great location and the bartenders were terrific. Only negative was on the hotel credit I was given daily that it didn’t count for breakfast. I was never told that.

Check in delayed, did not receive notice when informed would when room was ready. Room not fully set up: one facecloth, garbage bags resting beside bin, and warm refrigerator. Air conditioner was not working in room, hot to sleep in. Room very loud, could hear other guests yelling, running in hallways and above room, slamming doors at late and early hours, when paid extra for higher room level to avoid this. Have stayed here before as first pick for relaxation and comfort, unfortunately this was quite unsatisfactory this trip when traveling from afar.

Great place to stay, right on the Riverwalk. Everyone was friendly, property was so clean. Our room was perfect, pool was cool and inviting! Will definitely be visiting again.

Room was extremely clean and serviced was top notch. My room included free breakfast that was very good. Only complaint is there is a bar directly under the hotel and the loud music reached up to the 6th floor, it went on through the early morning hours. Not a great if you are a light sleeper and have a business meeting the next morning.

Our room was beautiful and clean. The hotel was excellent and conveniently located near shops and the Riverwalk. My only 1 complaint is the air conditioner didn’t do anything when we tried to make the room cooler.

Easy walking access to everything we were interested in. Extremely attentive staff, pool and fitness center were top notch! Will definitely stay again.

Walkable, 4 mins, to the cruise ticket booth and boarding dock. Walkable, 3 mins, to the Hardrock Cafe, Paesanos Italian café, and many other restaurants, lounges and clubs. Most clubs allow kid entries till about 10pm and are open to 2am. Definitely recommend this place.

Too many extra fees just to be there. Aside from taxes there are taxes just to have your car there ( taxes, city fees, tourism fee and more) and of course they are not upfront about it either.

Amazing

Our good-sized and thoughtfully appointed room overlooked the Alamo, which is just across the street. It was fun to have a glass of wine on the couch in front of the full wall of windows as the sun set over the Alamo and San Antonio. Its central location on the Riverwalk is excellent for both dining and entertainment. You have got to take the little riverboat ride! Highly recommended.

Staff was very pleasant and I loved that you just walk on to the riverwalk. What didn’t like for being a luxury hotel, they didn’t have parking for their guest, you had to pay for it.

If you are looking for a hotel with a full riverwalk view you will be disappointed. We wanted to enjoy a view, but this hotel only had partial views of the riverwalk which should have been disclosed.

Stayed for 1 night, always a great place to stay! Will be back in 2 weeks for 2 nights, only con is the construction right in front of hotel but the good thing is they don’t work on weekends so no extra noise or construction traffic.

There’s nothing such river view if your in high level and breakfast is buffet only on weekends and the valet parking is expensive almost 60$ per night!!!

It was a small room for such a premium price. Plus $47. nightly for valet or self parking.

Vacation stay. Didn’t find out until I arrived that the pool was closed and a significant portion of the hotel was undergoing renovations. I had really hoped to spend some time lounging by the pool!

We loved our stay. The upgrade to the suite was amazing.

Lots of construction around made the area not so fantastic or impressive but it was clean enough. The 3 lots of taxes per day added several hundred dollars to our stay that wasnt planned.

Perfect location and very clean and friendly. The only thing I can imagine that would make the property nicer is to have a little tikki bar or snacks readily available at the pool area. The pool was a nice way to cool off in the afternoon.

I was extremely disappointed in this so claimed high rated hotel. The pictures of the pool were completely misleading. The pool area was not adult friendly. Pool area was small and kids all over the place. Hotel rooms are small, bathroom area small, rooms outdated . Would not recommend or come back.

Decided on a quick trip to get away for the weekend and this hotel did not disappoint. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location is about as good as it gets, Riverwalk on one side and the Alamo on the other. 10/10 would recommend.

Food was good. Transportation access was spot on. Beds were comfortable. However, there were a couple of dust bunnies around the bed that did not get picked up prior to our stay.

We just visited the Hyatt Regency SA Riverwalk and it was great. We traveled with our two children and the location was very convenient. It was right on the Riverwalk with easy access to all the restaurants. A quick drive to other locations we visited and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommend staying here.

The staff was excellent! Very convenient location everything was very clean. The air-conditioning in our room was noisy and the biggest complaint was our bed it was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in very hard and super loud the box underneath would make loud popping noises every time you turned over or got up. So the other person would wake up every time you move. The parking was also too expensive.

Overall besides them charging for everything at a premium price, the stay was pleasant and nice, may stay again for a quick getaway

One corner of bed is peel off

Had to change rooms as soon as we check in due to the ac not working, phone not working and tv not working. 2nd room had missing hand soap and soap bowl(other room had it). A/c sucked and tech shrugged at us like we are crazy cause it wont go below 71 degrees. Oh and we leave the $45 parking a night garage the hotel key didnt work even after the front desk "updated" my check out. Its right on thr riverwalk so that was nice. Other then that just stay somewhere else.

The location was great, and the hotel was comfortable. The worst thing was the cost of valet parking. They advertise valet parking at $59 per day, but it was actually $ $96 per day. The itemized bill posted valet parking ay $59 plus a "Destination fee" of $25, a sales tax of $4.87 on the cost of the $59, then state, local and county taxes of $6.19. Totally misleading and deceptive advertising. If I had known this, I would have used the public garage parking across the street.

This was our first stay here at this hotel, and it won’t be our last! Great atmosphere all around, my family enjoyed it, a lot of nice options inside the hotel to get drinks or snacks and my daughter’s favorite was the caricature artist in the hotel. My favorite was the Alamo view thru the huge windows in the room and waking up to the sunrise was awesome!! The only small downside was the construction still going on in front of the hotel and just a reminder on the day your checking out keep your room card (if your self parking) until you leave the parking garage or you will have to pay to get out without your card (like I did $45) and there is a labeled drop box to put in your cards after you open the gate.

A great location that's super close to the Alamo and right on the Riverwalk. The hotel is always clean and even though it's in the heart of downtown, noise levels are very low. It's not a cheap stay at this property, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Excellent. In the heart of the Riverwalk. You can opt to adventure out and experience all that the Riverwalk has to offer or the amenities the Hyatt provides which is just as enjoyable. Live music at the bar/ restaurant every Thursday through Saturday indoors or step outdoors for more live music at the oyster bar and sit on the edge of the Riverwalk. Fabulous time. Highly recommend!

Got to hotel at 1:45 am Long check in line and didn’t check in until 2:05 am. They said reservation cancelled at 2 am Even though they had a ton of rooms - they would not give us a room. And we had told the front desk we would be late given flight delays. You must refund!

The location was absolutely perfect. We could walk right out the hotel door onto the Riverwalk, which was filled with restaurants, music places to sit a beautiful place to walk shopping pretty much everything. We loved the easy accessibility, and we never took an Uber until we left. It was really lovely.
