Hotel Indigo San Antonio Riverwalk by IHG

Great location, breakfast, and rooms.

First floor was a terrible floor to be on. Loud, dirty, messy, and disorganized. The premise was not kept clean at all. No one seemed to care at all. Even the cleaning staff was loud. Def not a place I would recommend or stay at again.

I Stayed here for 3 nights in June 2026. I found my room to be large but very dark, with an unclean floor, no hot water in my shower, and an unpleasant odor in my room. Lots of deferred maintenance is evident at the property with burnt out lights by the pool, crooked light posts, patio furniture missing cushions, etc. All in all, this property is well located to the Riverwalk attraction, and close to the Tobin Center, but it has not been well maintained or cleaned, making the rooms uncomfortable and the stay less pleasant than it could be.

The hotel is quiet and nice but lacks parking. Upon arrival you will be notified that if you are not a IHG Member you either valet for about $52 a night or use city streets or lots which still run between $42-36 a night. The hotel also only allows late check out for members as well. Thankfully these issues didn’t put too much of a damper on our stay. I did like the room size and the breakfast menu options. Also our room had a nice view from the balcony over looking the riverwalk and outdoor lounge area. So beside certain amenities only being for member who book exclusively through the hotels site I did enjoy my stay but wouldn’t stay there again due to those issues as well. I also would like others to know about these things since I wasn’t aware before my stay.

everything worked out really well… Our greeting from Sarai was warm and welcoming, and she even got us an early check-in. We were so tired we ordered room service and a gal named Alma could not have been nicer or more helpful. She delivered our food right to our door and tried to help us get the San Antonio Spurs game on the TV. It was so difficult. She had a maintenance guy come into our room and figure it out for us My brother lives 40 minutes outside of San Antonio. The next time we visit we will be staying at your hotel for two or three nights prior to our visit. Thanks so much Jeff and Michelle Capen. everything was great/the room was excellent!

got into hotel fairly quickly, valet was running hurredly since we got there at check-in time. Once we passed vehicle to valet, we were checked in quickly, efficiently room temps for two a/c units were set at 60, the room was a meat locker and impossible to get to a rational temp I personally do not like the duvet/bed covers in use. They are too heavy as a sleeping cover, yet the sheet below is too think to provide any warmth..... the tv system was a cable setup, had a bunch of channels, but NO ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX main media channels

The staff were so helpful! They were able to answer questions regarding the stay, without hesitation or attitude. I didn’t like that there was not a shuttle for the Mall. The parking is so horrible that a shuttle would be perfect, however not a deal breaker. Also, you do have to pay for parking at the hotel, however again it is not a deal breaker but booking.com does not advise of the extra charge.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in SA!

We were in town on a overnight trip for a concert at Tobin Center. The location was perfect for walking over. We utilized valet parking. Staff were all great and the stay was pleasant.

The room was clean and comfortable; the breakfast was good as it was made to order and not a buffet style so that was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful and the location was quiet. The hotel is a little outdated with some wear and tear. Half of the channels on the TV didn't work and my room did get a little humid at one point during the stay.

Very big rooms comfortable and a quiet location Staff were very unhelpfull and miserable having to pay $53 per day to have valet parking when the parking lot accross the road had ample space ( but was for members only ) and only costs $20 per night. The rooms were not cleaned to a high standard only the bed made and bins empted and the lighting was poor

It was a very convenient location and most everything was in walking distance less than a mile. The staff was great and their room was clean and cozy! Unfortunately, there are a lot of homeless people in San Antonio. One specifically stayed camped out below the backside of the hotel against the Riverwalk obviously high on something. Four days he saying loudly and during the night, he would scream all night. So we did not get to enjoy the balcony of our hotel room or the outside pool area without hearing this.

The front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and always ready to help with any questions or requests. Housekeeping maintained the room to the highest standard, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Even the concierge and support staff were consistently courteous, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. What sets this hotel apart is the level of care and dedication the staff show to their guests. Their positive attitudes and commitment to excellent service created a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for not just a great place to stay, but an unforgettable hospitality experience.

I left my card in the hotel by accident as I was rushing out of the hotel, and 3 days later I get about 10 transactions alerts from San Antonio, one of their staff memebers found the card and used it. I

Bar closed too early. Pool was lovely. Location a bit off the beaten path.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Drawers wouldn't close, paint chipping off on all cabinetry. There were no suitcase stands. No electrical outlets near the big mirror in the room or a mirror above the dresser that does have an outlet near.

Stay was friendly, but hotel was dirty, patio cushions ripped, tables dirty, elevators dirty. Not worth the price.

1.staff was rude and unhelpful/knowledgeable. 2. gate that leads from back of hotel to river walk gets locked at night and we were never told about it, requiring walking around the block to get back to hotel. 3rd parking too small and have 2 pay for it

The room was super big. The bathroom looked recently renovated, the shower had great pressure and the shampoo/conditioner/soap in the dispensers were top notch. It's a quick walk to the busy downtown part of the river walk. We also walked about a mile north along the less busy part of the river walk to the Pearl District. There are pretty sculptures and a few bars/restaurants to pop into along the way. A very pleasant walk. Pro tip: If you want to save a ton of money on parking and don't mind a less than half mile walk, skip the hotel parking and park in the St. Mary's Street garage. We paid $10/night at the garage compared to $33/night self park $50ish/night valet at the hotel. You don't have in and out privileges to get the $10/night fee, so it's best for those that plan to not use their vehicle once they get to San Antonio. The wifi was terrible in our room. My husband and I only ever were able to connect for like 5 minutes during our whole stay. I used my data while in the room for the entire trip. If you plan to do work, you may have to go into the common areas to connect to wifi. The wifi in the lobby/pool area was fine. The pool area is small but good enough. The pool itself was in need of a good cleaning. There were plenty of questionable blobs floating around that cut our time short in the pool.

Nothing at all That I was not informed about paying for damages up front and also was not informed about having to pay for parking (valet parking) I had booked for two rooms with king beds and river view but when I went to check in they gave me standard room and said it wasn’t guaranteed for the rooms so they blamed booking and told me I needed to discuss with booking so basically my first time staying there was not pleasant

I stayed for 4 nights and no one came to clean my room the entire stay. I even tried to coordinate cleaning time with the front desk several times. They kept saying the cleaners said there was a dnd song on my door when there was not. Overall okay stay but I wouldn’t stay again.

Make some up grades to the carpets and really spend some money on the door locks and the safety of your guest. I use to live this place but it has really let it self go not by much but it’s going there. The furniture was a little out dated. So the room we stayed in had the tv stand where the drawers wouldn’t stay closed and we had a room with the window that had the loud ac unit in it. House keepers did not look friendly or happy.

The property is on the newer extension of the riverwalk, far from the hub of the Riverwalk shops and restaurants. It is a long walk, pretty, but not much to see or do until you finally get to the original section. The street level area in front of the hotel is mostly boarded up and abandoned buildings.

My room was spacious and well-kept, with a great view and all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. I especially enjoyed the easy access to restaurants and attractions along the river, but it was also nice to come back to such a welcoming and quiet place at the end of the day. Highly recommend Hotel Indigo for anyone visiting San Antonio—you’ll get both comfort and convenience in one spot!

This is not the first time we stay at the Indigo Hotel San Antonio. So I have made this one of my favorite places to stay when visitong here. Nevetheless our only recommendation to the hotel would be to have more affortable parking so we could make Indigo Hotel the only hotel we would choose to stay here eim San Antonio.

All the blue (indigo)colors throughout made it unique. I was disappointed that it is now painted in different colors. Our room was very nice but again, not blue. That would have to be my biggest complaint, plus it was under some construction

The room had a foul smell, they sent maintenance to spray a cheap air freshener which made it worst. The room was adjoined and the guest next-door kept opening their side of the door beginning at 4:30 am throughout the next morning. I got no sleep due to this uncomfortable situation. Will not be coming back.

The room was adjoined and the guest next-door kept opening their side of the door beginning at 4:30 am throughout the next morning. I got no sleep due to this uncomfortable situation. Will not be coming back.

This was our first time at hotel indigo Riverwalk. The hotel was right on the river and you could walk everywhere so we took a taxi from the airport to the hotel and back again it was affordable and we really enjoyed ourselves. The bed was very comfortable and all of The employees from the front desk to the bartender to the waitresses were so nice and friendly and helpful. We surely would stay here again.

Have stated many times over the years and the hotel is showing signs of aging. Removing the center registration desk was a mistake in my opinion, it doesn’t look finished. I love the hotel, but it is not keeping up with the prices being charged.

It was way too expensive for the accommodations provided. I will never book again. Staff was kind with exception of valet. Don’t expect assistance with luggage. Front desk provided breakfast vouchers. We left first thing.

Very nice hotel on the riverwalk and great service. Only thing I was disappointed in was the unexpected parking fee of 45 a night per car. Cost us 270 just for parking.

At the evening, the valet drives the car for parking outside of Hotel parking zone. The same receptionist says it is management decision, management of Valet as if it is not supervised by front office management. Do not stay at the Hotel. Old, smells humidity, noisy air conditioning and so on ..

The only thing I didn't like was the options for parking. There was valet parking for $60 a night, that was pretty much your option. Parking on the street, or the lot across the street (which was full) are the only other options. Get some better parking.

We were extremely disappointed by our stay. 1st night room's AC wasn't working. We got to room late so went to bed and reported it the next morning. We were told it was fixed and it was not! Our room was HOT! It was late, they moved us to a new room. Toilet chain was broken in new room and we had to put our hand in tank to pull chain to flush. Then we were woken at 7:15 by a garbage truck outside of our window picking up trash from dumpster (on Sunday?). While in the elevator we saw fun coffees and drinks on wall. Went to get a latte and we were told they didn't make those kind of coffees. Just black coffee and creamer. We had valet take our car and when we picked it up, it had bird poop ALL OVER it. Not just a little...ALL over it. We were very disappointed by our stay and Sarahi said to contact you and they will request a refund. Marco Anderson 713-203-6345

My families from Houston San Antonio and Austin all met at your hotel Thursday afternoon. Your staff was very considerate making sure that our needs were met. There was a complimentary late check out for us Saturday morning so that was very helpful for us! We had a delightful evening Friday night watching the Christmas parade on the Riverwalk from your balcony on the third floor! We will be back again next year!

The Indigo was good overall. Nothing too fancy. The price was appropriate. The facility is older but well maintained. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The area had a lot of homeless so it felt like a necessary expense to valet instead of self park. But that is not the hotel's fault. The valet staff were great too. I would stay here again.

I hated that it was too far away from everything whole purpose of staying was not having to drive somewhere. Ridiculous that you have to pay to park your vehicle especially with the room price it is.

The room was not clean, the patio was dirty we couldn't even sit outside because of the chairs and tables were full of dust and dirt.

The staff was efficient and friendly. Facility was clean and quiet. Easy access to the quieter northern end of the Riverwalk. Most restaurants and attractions downtown were about a 15 min walk via the Riverwalk or surface streets. The self parking option did not include the actual Hotel parking lot which was filled by the valet service. Street parking is otherwise a poor option. We did use the valet service and they were friendly and responsive, but the service was expensive. Our room was oddly spacious like it was a small meeting room converted into a guest room. Not bad, but odd. It would have been a good room for and extra bed or someone needing wheelchair access. Overall a pleasant Hotel away from the noisier areas of the Riverwalk but within comfortable walking distance of the many restaurants and attractions of downtown.

I enjoyed my overnight stay at this beautiful hotel. I stayed in the king bed suite with a balcony! The view was amazing to wake up to and enjoy your breakfast and coffee. I would highly recommend this hotel for future visits and for my family and friends to stay in!

Stay was great, room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the river walk and city skyline. I liked the location being on the north end of the river, not smack dab in all the hustle, but close enough to walk to a lot of what downtown SA has to offer. I would for sure stay here again, the only thing I would not do is get the breakfast package--- it was just "ok".

A little distance from the shopping, but nice quiet and worth the stay. This is my 2nd time at this property and will stay again.

We went for one night only but the hotel was beautiful and had so much vibrant colors and looked amazing. The whole property was beautiful. The staff friendly and very helpful. Overall our stay was great!

First time to visit this Hotel. It’s on the none busy end of the Riverwalk which we liked. We will be booking again with a room with Riverwalk views!

I all around loved my stay but having to pay for parking after paying for my room is a little ridiculous. Was not happy when checking out.

The service was excellent. Hotel policies were flexible and Friendly. All amenities were available that I needed. The hotel was not as clean as I Expected but I think that is partly because The construction updates that were made to the hotel were sub par. The grout in the bathroom wasn't a very bad condition. The toilet was Old. Despite the cleaning staff coming and cleaning in front of me these things were not cleanable. Overall I had a wonderful experience the staff was wonderful and I had every amenity I wanted the location was convenient and I had a great time staying at this hotel.

the room was very dirty!! We are attempted to cancel and rebook somewhere else after the first night but.. they advised because we paid in full with Expedia we wouldn’t get our money back! Which was odd because that’s NEVER been the case anywhere else.. So we were forced to stay.. Staff was extremely lazyyy!!!!! And then the nerve to charge me for valet services i didn’t use!!! The manager even went so far as to say that i was a liar and that “ someone in my party must have used the service” even though it was only me, my husband and our dog!! I eventually got my money back.. but the simple fact that someone was able to submit a valet ticket under my room was insane!!

We had a wonderful experience here! Hotel Indigo is a very homey hotel. They pay thoughtful attention to little details that make it comfortable, inviting, and fun. You can walk right out to the river walk, or to restaurants, convince stores, and even the Alamo! Comfy beds, soap smells great, AC works amazingly well thank goodness!:)

Place smelled like urine. The room smelled and the bedsheets smelled. The room was so cold. If you tried adjust the ac the room would either be freezing or hot, no in between. There was no parking garage, so you either pay $50 for valet or drive around to park and pay down the street. The area surrounding the hotel was scary plus homeless people everywhere. I would never stay there again.
