    We had a wonderful stay at The Hotel Contessa. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. We were in town for the NBA Finals. The free shuttle provided by the hotel to and from the game made for a smooth experience and our driver went above and beyond and was so friendly and helpful.

    The Contessa is the value of a Holiday Inn with the cost of an Intercontinental property. This is an old hotel with a small pool crammed onto the rooftop. You don't get a walk in shower like the photos show here on Orbitz and my wife didn't have hot water for her shower this morning, either. If you are a basketball hooligan that wants to get drunk and make a lot of noise, this is your place! But if you're a normal human looking to enjoy the Riverwalk, go over to the Hilton instead. The Ambler restaurant, however, had excellent food and exellent servers - they should move to a good hotel.

    The interior of the rooms are unique, and housekeeping staff are very nice. We had breakfast at the restraunt and staff made the experience pleasant. Location is convenient to experience downtown area.

    Do not stay here. Sheets and curtains were stained upon entry. Housekeeping did not come. Towels never brought to room even though I went down to the lobby to request them. Nicer hotels in the same area for the same price.

    There is simply no better place to stay in San Antonio near - practically on - the Riverwalk. The rooms at Hotel Contessa are spacious, modern and clean. All the usual amenities are available plus extras like luxury beddings. Our room came with a fantastic view of the river above marriage island. At night the little boats floated past with colored lights making it a peaceful and pleasant visual treat. By far and away the best part of this superb hotel were the people who delivered over the top service, friendliness and professionalism. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff all were way above average. But the group that was absolutely world class - as in I've never experienced this level of service from this part of a hotel was the Valet team. These fine men would hustle back and forth getting our car and do so the moment they saw us walk out the door. They were friendly, efficient and ran like a well oiled machine. When we had questions on directions they went out of their way to make sure we knew where we were going. Our rental car was kept spotless inside and out and everyone of them never hestitated to help with a bag or luggage. A finer group of people in this line of hospitality work you will not find anywhere. To top it all off the rate we paid was slightly less than hotels that did not have as good a location or spacious rooms offered at the Contessa. Without a doubt we will always stay here on future trips to San Antonio

    The pool was great, clean. The pool pictures make it appear newer, to me, but overall it was a great rooftop space, nice view of the city. Staff was great! Chris delivered a bottle of complimentary Bday champagne and was fabulous. Housekeeping kept the room neat and tidy. The hotel looks like the pictures. Nice and clean. Valet was always ready. There’s a bar directly across the street. The hotel’s location was located in a great spot right on the river, 10 min walk to the Alamo, and all the touristy things downtown. 10 min walk to the Towers of the Americas. 10 min drive from the airport. I would absolutely stay again.

    Check-in was smooth and quick, with a very friendly staff. Room service and food were top notch! The direct access to the River Walk was perfect and we used it all weekend. Same can be said about where on the the River Walk the hotel is located; restaurants, convenience shops, landmarks, nightlife etc. everything was within walking distance and we never had to take a ride-share. We will absolutely continue to book here when we visit San Antonio!

    We had dinner in the restaurant and ordered an appetizer and drinks as well as entrees. The food was very good and the drinks were great. The only mis step was that the server brought our entrees before we could get even half way through our appetizer and cocktails.

    It was nice having a separate hang out area and the view of the Riverwalk was so lovely! Parking is pricey but valet was pretty quick and always friendly. The hotel is in a prime location so you don’t need your car much anyway.

    Wonderful location on the Riverwalk and our room had a view of the river. Convenient location to lots of restaurants, shopping and site seeing opportunities. The room was very large with a separate seating area. Large bathroom as well. VERY comfortable beds and pillows. Nice staff. It was a little noisy being located on a high floor of large open atrium-style lobby above a busy bar. Exposed elevators were also a bit squeaky. I wasn’t bothered by it, but my husband needed to use earplugs the second night — which the hotel provided, so clearly it’s an on-going issue.

    The rooftop pool area was a highlight with great views of the city. The only minor issue was that the rooftop pool bar wasn’t staffed when we visited on a Saturday afternoon, and we couldn’t find any posted bar hours. Not a big deal, but something that could be improved. Overall, a wonderful experience and an easy recommendation for anyone visiting San Antonio.

    we booked a room that was supposed to accommodate three adults and paid the extra $40 on expedia. However, the room had one king bed and the living room area had a sofa that was not a sofa bed. This made for the third person to sleep very poorly. No extra sheets or pillows were readily available and had to be requests. Also we thought breakfast was included since in the Expedia search clicked on breakfast filter. Staff was nice and location was good. The pool and area was very small, not like the pictures show.

    This is a nice hotel. It is in a great location and it has a really nice Bar, lounge, restaurant at ground level right next to the river walk. They have no parking so you have to valet or park in a parking garage which was expensive. The hotel is not new, but they have renovated and updated.

    Hotel was beautiful, this is our second time there; however, the bathroom door in our room wouldn’t stay completely shut. As a family of 3 staying in the same room, privacy in the bathroom would be nice. That’s my only complaint.

    Each time we tried to use the pool there were no towels. We had to let the front desk know and eventually the towels would be replenished. Also the hot tub jets come on and off at random. There's not a button to activate them. You just have to take advantage of it while they happen to be going.

    Breakfast was decent. The waiter was very friendly. He was the only hotel staff who was friendly! I appreciate the early check in The reception staff both days were unfriendly and unwelcoming. When we arrived, they did not even greet us with a simple hello!! They barely make eye contact. When we ask any questions, they are evasive and look annoyed. We did not feel any professional warm welcome. I traveled in Texas, in the USA, Europe, Turkish, Egypt, and this was the worst reception staff ever! That spoiled our overall impression of the hotel experience. Room wise, it was nice. However, the bath tub was not clean. And when taking a shower, the water was not draining properly.

    Room was spacious and clean and quiet from any adjacent room noise. Beds were soft and comfortable but still supportive, felt premium. A few reviews had criticized the beds but I have a bad back and loved them. Location was very convenient on riverwalk next to Westin. Hotel Parking is only valet and expensive at $59/day with in and out privileges, there are nearby garages within 50 yards much cheaper but no in/out privileges. Staff was friendly.

    The room is actually a suite with living room like sitting area and separate TV. Excellent hotel. Will only stay there when I go to San Antonio. The only con was their restaurant but, there are lots of other places to eat on the Riverwalk. I used their valet parking but there is a public garage on West Market Street across from the Contessa.

    It was the perfect location. Very central to everything! For a “luxury” hotel certain aspects just weren’t met I found. For example there were no doormen to open the doors/valet was super understaffed, no bell boys it appeared, our towel bar fell down without any reason, there was mould in the shower and it looked like they hadn’t actually detail cleaned in a while. There was hair/dust/crumbs etc in all the corners of the mattresses and bed area. Just didn’t seem to be four star that’s all. The linens however were super clean. No lint/hair or stains noted.

    The service was terrible i never received any room service when requested and the room we originally had was gross and the toilets were clogged when we asked to move they offered us a plunger not a room they took our keys for the vehicle and the vellet cgarged us for a service we didnt ask for. When we checked out of the hotel we were charged hidden fees we asked for a refund due to the poor service they declined

The rooms are large and very comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out and their onsite restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices. Our room was fairly close to the elevators, which were extremely loud. Would definitely recommend asking for a room away from them. Also, our room had a bathtub rather than a walk in shower and was not equipped with grab bars, so be aware of this if that is important to you.

    Normally in the past my stay has been very good, but this time I'm disappointed. The hot water was not available for any extended period of time. Maintenence came to the room ran the water for 5 minutes before hot water became available. It was only 5 minutes after I was already running it for 5 minutes. We had to take quick showers because we never knew of the hot water was going to become cold. We had to plan our showers accordingly to make sure we didn't have to rush to be somewhere. We didn't want to change rooms because we thought we could deal with it, but it became harder to predict the hot water status. Also we didn't want a room near the elevators. They are very loud. I could hear them from my corner room. I hope this was a one off situation. The hotel is in a great location and is otherwise a good hotel to stay with.

    We had stayed here before and had a positive experience. This time the room was musty smelling and had a lot of street noise. The property is in a great location and room was big, but the moldy musty smell and noise were off putting. When next I am in San Antonio I will stay elsewhere

    Stayed at this hotel again after many years. Not well maintained. Carpet and rugs with many dirty stains all over. The bathroom appears to be in need of renovation. Toilet with calcium stains. Only 1 restaurant on property, drinks nor food very impressive for the cost. Parking is valet only, $60/day.

    Fantastic location right on the river walk. Suite was gigantic and the interaction with staff was very positive.     The lady at the check in counter when we first arrive was the only staff member we encountered that was not very pleasant.     Now, the second receptionist, bad customer service. No greeting, she seemed way more bothered than the first one. When I asked a question, she was on her phone and just looked up at me with an annoyed look and just nodded her head. No response, nothing. Overall, we paid too much for an outdated room. Receptionists need some customer service training. This time I give this hotel a 2.5 out of 5.

    Elevators made a lot of squeaking noises anytime they moved and, therefore, did not let us sleep. Staff was dismissive and unhelpful. Spa looked outdated, pool and gym also looked old and unkempt, don’t understand how this is a 4 star hotel.

    Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The property is clearly poorly maintained — the rooms are falling apart, the bathroom tubs are peeling, the AC vents had visible mold, the carpets were dirty, and the entire room had an awful smell. The pool area was chaotic, dirty, and far from relaxing. On top of that, the hotel staff was consistently rude, unhelpful, and seemed unwilling to assist guests with even basic concerns. The overall attitude from employees made the experience even worse. Valet parking was another nightmare. We waited approximately 45 minutes every time we needed our car, yet were still charged an outrageous $60 per day for the service. Overall, this was a horrible experience and absolutely not worth the money. I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

    Perfect location. Pool up on the rooftop was wonderful! Staff was pleasant! Beds are so comfortable. The toilet didn't flush well and 2 times people were sent up to fix it and it still didnt work. Shower also wouldn't drain. they seemed to resolve that issue. the shower also made very loud banging noises.

    Bed not the comfiest. Toilet always took at least 2 flushes. Shower did not drain well and had more than a bit of mold. Elevator intermittently went to my floor. Hot tub was nice but not so hot. Spa is not even close to a luxury spa in my experience! Extremely overpriced with mediocre massage at best and gratuity included whether you enjoy your massage or not.

    Room was very nice, bathroom could use a little extra on the grout cleaning. Towels were ok. Pool was very overcrowded but it was a Saturday. Pool was smaller than I thought it would be and bathroom was out of service outside of the pool area so had to gather belongings and take son back to our room for that. Called down for valet to bring car around and when I got down there they had no clue of me calling.

    The first room had such a strong smell of mold and mildew. The second room had mold surrounding the bathtub. Stained toilet. Old dingy sheets. Housekeeping gets a C- . Parking $65/day plus over $200 in hotel resort fees. Website asserted remodeled rooms, obviously we didn't they failed to say some remodeled rooms. Very disappointed. Far from a four-star hotel.

    Second time staying here. The location was perfect for our stay, most staff were nice. Luz, Eddie, AJ all amazing workers there. Eddie made sure my birthday was acknowledged and sent us some goodies to our room, which was great. Love the size of the room and bathroom along with the amenities (body wash hand soap etc) they offer in the room. Asked for fresh towels and linen and got it with no hassle. As much as we love this property and location of it, they lacked in areas this go around for us. Front desk staff attempted to charge me for my room after I paid in advance. She asked for my confirmation but never looked at it and brushed it off saying it wasn’t set up on their end. Followed by a dry apology while smacking on cheez-itz. At peak times valet is so unorganized. Got skipped (4 women did actually) by an older valet gentleman, who looked over us to asked a guy who’d just walk up if he needed his vehicle. The guy had integrity and respect and let the valet guy know we were waiting in line first. Considering it wasn’t just a 10-15 min wait, and valet is $60 made this situation a bit more frustrating. Wish the rooms had a microwave. So much space is available in the room including a sofa, I’m surprised there is no microwave. There was a stain on our comforter so had to request new sheets after the first night.

    It was a clean facility The staff was never helpful. If you pick this hotel be ready to be ignored. Also, they will keep a portion of your deposit and refuse to tell you why. I needed to use the computer area to complete an assignment and the staff brush me off like I was a piece of trash! I paid almost $1000 dollars for 3 days and was treated like a rag doll!

The only issue for us was that we were on the street side and the Spurs won there game and for 2 hours the yelling, horns honking woke us up and prevented us from going back to sleep.     Location was excellent, amenities were great and the staff were very professional and responsive The room temperature was extremely cold on arrival and near 66 degrees. We attempted to warm the room with thermostat’s Heat setting and it would not respond. Called the front desk to notify staff of the issue. An engineer arrived shortly after the call to front desk, after sometime, they indicated that due to the age of the air handling system that there would not be a significant change to controlling heat but had made some minor adjustments to help. Heated air never did reach our room and so we simply turned off the thermostat controller. This made for two nights of uncomfortable sleep and really kept us from enjoying the room.

    For the price per night, I truly think it is overrated. There is nothing luxurious about it and I was very disappointed with the rooftop pool. In addition, I paid for a river view not to get a corner half street and half river. Overall, I will choose different hotel next visit.

    The room was clean, the check-in process was easy, and the location was perfect! The room and the bed were very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. We didn't use the pool but it was heated and could've been used even in late spring weather. With the location we were also concerned it would be loud, but it was actually pretty quiet! No noise from the Riverwalk got into the room.

    The hotel is charming, art fills the walls, the staff is very freindly and the views are gorgeous. Its located along the river walk within walking distance to great restaurants, pubs, the mercado, the Alamo, etc. The Mariachi's perform on Friday evenings, everyone seems to be having a fabulous time. The pool at top is a nice refreshing break with views of the city. we had an issue with house keeping but the staff addressed it.

    One thing to be aware of is parking. The hotel only offers valet, and it’s about $60 per night. That was a bit of an unexpected downside. If you want to avoid that cost, you’ll need to find parking at a nearby garage and walk. Aside from that, it was a decent stay and they enjoyed their time. Just plan ahead for parking so there are no surprises.

    This hotel was not what I would.think of as luxury Breakfast is nonexistent. On the menu on the TV they advertise french toast but it isn't an item they have. The elevators take forever. The pool closes at random times. The bed was too soft and worn out. There are no microwaves. In all the rooms were small the pool was small and the luxury was just not there.

    First, the air conditioning vent in the room was extremely dirty, with visible buildup of dust and what appeared to be mold. This was circulating through the room and left me dealing with a sore throat and sinus irritation. The bathroom also had multiple maintenance concerns. The sink stopper was missing, there was missing trim around the bathtub, and the tub stopper was not installed and instead sitting on the side. Additionally, there was visible mold in the tub, and it was clogged—causing water to pool up to about four inches deep while draining, along with an unpleasant odor. There were also issues with basic functionality and safety. At one point, the key card would not register in the elevator, which left me stuck inside for approximately 10 minutes. This was very concerning. The condition of the bedding was also below expectations. The sheets and pillowcases appeared worn, shedding, and torn. Additionally, the in-room entertainment system was not working properly. We were unable to stream or use Google Cast, even after a technician came to assist us, but the issue was never resolved. This prevented us from watching an important game we had planned to enjoy during our stay. Finally, valet took nearly an hour.

    Valet was $70/night and it was a MESS. We were unable to call to get our car pulled around, and were required to come downstairs, along with the entire rest of the hotel checking out. The lobby was packed and we had to wait 40 minutes to even get our vehicle. It wasn't what I would have expected from a hotel priced at this price point.

    I travel a lot and I have to say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time. The hotel is run down. The AC was not working in the room we got and it was 89 degrees. We requested a different room, and was moved to a room without a river view but we were not reimbursed. The new room's shower head was broken; and the soap dispenser did not work. When I tried to call reception to ask for help, I discovered the phone did not work. There was a private event downstairs and with the acoustics it was very loud in the room till 11pm. I will definately not stay in the hotel again and hope that Expedia will refund the difference between river view room that we lost. It was horrible.

    Hotel is beautiful but the restaurant is expensive with the food bland and limited. The staff were mostly friendly but slow to respond. The valet service was excellent. Our toilet overflowed one morning and the coffee maker in the room only spit out grounds in the coffee. It took several hours and several phone calls to get the toilet looked after and the bathroom floor mopped. The maid was rude and blamed us for putting toilet paper in the toilet instead of in the one small trash can in the suite. We have stayed here before multiple times. This had not happened. I did not appreciate this and her reluctance to clean it up. If this is the case why were we not told about this before and why is there only one small trash receptacle in the suite. Most importantly why is the expensive price charged for this type of facility. The TV cable is very limited and doesn’t always work. The bottles of hand soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner maybe in boutique looking bottles but the quality of product was very poor. Good thing we had brought some along with us. We have loved this hotel and the location but will not select it again after this.

    All the staff were very friendly. Stay was for a birthday and a complimentary charcuterie board and bottle of wine was left in our room that day. Room overlooked the riverwalk and the bed was very comfortable. Ambler restaurant had great food and cocktails. Rooftop pool area could use a good refresh though. Many of the cushions had stains on them. Overall a great experience.

    Overall, good experience. Wonderful and walkable location. Room was very spacious and nice. Friendly, helpful staff. Two areas for improvement: 1. The pool set up on the roof was great but could really use more attention to cleanliness. There weren't always clean towels out, and trash (including a bandaid and gum) was left out on the deck for multiple days. Water appeared cloudy and not the cleanest - I removed two giant floating hairballs. 2. Why don't you use fitted sheets on the beds? They kept getting untucked when we slept and feet were touching bare mattress. Unpleasant. Despite these problems, would still recommend. Fix those two areas, and it's basically perfect.

    The staff was amaxing. Fast Eddie made our stay feel special. He was so helpful and always offered a smile and a happy gesture. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar was a great place to grabe a drink and listen to some music and even a Mariachi band that was fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel will stay there again if we ever return to the San Antonio Riverwalk.

    Every interaction from beginning to end was amazing! I took my girlfriend out to San Antonio for her birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the location (right on the Riverwalk!), the restaurants breakfast was amazing, the staff was professional and kind..     The room was spacious and quiet and the temperature was comfortable. The building is showing its age with some peeling paint and scuffs. Lighting in the room a bit awkward with inconveniently placed light switches in the sitting area that led to several run ins with a knee-level coffee table. The fitness center is small and in need of maintenance. Both peloton bikes were malfunctioning and the water dispenser was out of order. The pool is nice but very small and best visited early in the morning if you intend to use it to relax. In hotel restaurant was fine food wise. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Location is excellent.

    We were on the 7th floor, upon arriving the keys wouldn’t work. It took us 3 trips up and down before she would send someone up to help to realize the battery in the door lock wasn’t working. The only reason we deducted a star is for the dated bathtub that definetly needs a regrout and we lot hot water the night before we letf.     The hotel restaurant was okay but overpriced for what it offers. We ended up having breakfast at a place about a block away called Shiloh’s, which had very good food at much more reasonable prices. One downside of our stay was the front desk experience. I didn’t feel very acknowledged by the staff, and check-in felt rushed and impersonal. We were simply handed the key cards without any welcome, explanation, or even being told our room number. Overall, it’s a good place to stay, but based on our experience, I would probably try a different hotel next time.

    We didn’t have a meal at the hotel. We have always stayed at this property when in SA but this time wasn’t special. There were a stack of linens sitting on table in room. There was a ring in the bathtub. A piece of the TP hanger was hanging loose. Small things but things that make us wonder if quality is slipping.     Well first was a disaster they put me in a room that the ac wasn’t working after unpacking and then someone went to check the ac after they told me the motor and that they was going to put me in another room smh after packing and unpacking again they gave me a room that is for handicap the room smelled bad carpet so dirty it was a nasty and ugly room and there again I told my husband to go and say something cause it was ridiculous and after he spoked someone at the front he told them look we tired driving I don’t think you want to come to the hotel and get rooms that one the ac wasn’t working and then the other was nasty. So they gave him an upgraded room nice room and an $60 credit not a lot for the trouble and the bad experience we went through.and the rest of the stay it was okay and the staff very nice ppl.

    My stay at this hotel was fantastic. The room was very comfortable, and the hotel’s location right in the heart of the San Antonio River Walk made everything incredibly convenient. Despite being in such a busy area, the hotel itself was peaceful and quiet, which made for a very relaxing stay. Shopping and dining options were just a short walk away, giving us plenty to explore without needing to drive anywhere. Even with the Thanksgiving weekend crowds, getting in and out of the area was surprisingly easy. Overall, an excellent experience, I would absolutely stay here again.

    The room was very nice but lighting was extremely poor. The Riverwalk view was unremarkable as the hotel is located at the end of the Riverwalk, the windows are very small and there are no balconies. The staff does the absolute minimum not to get fired. The vibe we got from everyone of the staff was we were a bother to them and just wanted to be done with us. Valte staff was very nice though. I guess unless you're specifically trying to work for a tip at this hotel, you don't want to be there.

    This is our second time staying. We enjoy the location which is on the river walk but is far enough away from the central area that is busy. More quiet by hotel contessa. The valet and bell hops are so polite and maje sure you are prepared and get the help you need.

    The hotel itself is a nice place with a great river view, but the service fell far below expectations. The spa was extremely overpriced for the quality we received—you could honestly get better service at a mall. The front desk was the biggest reason we will not return. Not a single staff member smiled, and on two separate occasions we requested extra blankets and bottled water, neither of which were ever delivered. The bar was also subpar. The bartenders didn’t seem to know their liquor selection and were not attentive at all. What saved our stay was the room’s river view and the Thanksgiving feast—both were excellent. The meal was delicious, and the staff working the event were friendly and provided great service. We will definitely come back for the food, but not for the hotel stay.

    Fire alarms going off multiple times. The entire hallway had an extremely strong smell of marijuana. Then before checkout I found another 11 dollar bill due. This is for all their hidden fees such as the pool, the WiFi and so on. I will not be staying in this hotel again. Very disappointed

    Clean room, very spacious. Our initial room was above a large exterior A/C unit that was making a very loud clanking noise constantly. The stay was very accommodating and moved us to a different room away from it that was perfect. Quiet and same layout. You are right on Riverwalk to go exploring. Rooms have everything you need are ours had a very large living space that we enjoyed.

    On a good note, the room was spacious and quiet. The tv's were great quality (samsung) and you can connect your apps through your devices so that made it much easier than the normal having to log in into everything.

    Room did not have working AC. Bathroom was dated. We choose a river view, but the room was in a corner and had a direct view into a hallway huge window so we could not keep the curtains open. It was a very disappointing and a waste of money. I won’t be back.

    The room phone was unplugged, which caused me to miss a time-sensitive delivery and pay a fee — but more importantly, it meant I had no way to reach help in an emergency. That is a direct safety hazard. When I asked for management to see these issues firsthand, he refused to come to the room. Instead, he spoke over me, dismissed every concern, and offered only a late checkout and waived valet. No apology. No remediation. Nothing addressing the health, safety, or sanitation failures. This was supposed to be a relaxing girls’ staycation. Instead, it felt like paying luxury pricing for conditions I’d expect in an abandoned property. I left feeling upset, unheard, and genuinely concerned for the next guest.

    Felt like a 2 star, leak in toilet, whole in bathtub, stain on carpet, poor caulking, cheap shampoo. Parking $7. The location was great though and the bed was comfy. I upstaged to a bigger room. The couch was nice to have. Wouldn't stay again though.

    Room was dusty, send shreds didn’t have elastic so they would move easily and expose the mattress underneath. Our shower was leaking into our bedroom in room 412, so the carpet in the bedroom was soaked a maintenance had to come up to fix it. We had to advise the front desk twice before anything was done about it. We had an excellent stay here last year but after this year we may jus choose a different hotel for our next stay

    Nice place right on river walk they are suites mine didn’t have a balcony. I had called to make sure they had a hot tub so I can unwind my last day in San Antonio they said yes so I booked. When I arrived they said hot tub was broken that was disappointing. They have valet unless you want to self park further down it’s cheaper. I was traveling with luggage & fam so paid the $60 valet but there was only 1 person working so took along time. They had happy hour drinks the tequila one was good!

    The room was large and in 2 sections which i liked a lot. Love the art and the general cool boutique vibe. The lobby is a bit scented, like too much cologne but maybe that was just when we were there. Overall, a great stay on the Riverwalk and right near where we needed to be.

    We enjoyed the hotel. It was beautiful and the room was well appointed. The concierge upgraded our room which we appreciated. However, I was less than impressed by the service. The valet area was busy and the valet team did not approach us to help. We unloaded our car and had to go over to one team member for help. Valet is $53 per night and I would expect a 4star hotel experience. Also, we requested a late check out (12 PM) the night before. However, housekeeping knocked on our door THREE times between 9 and 11:30. The last time asking when we were leaving. We did not get to enjoy our morning and ended up just leaving because we felt rushed. I was very disappointed by this. If service matched the hotel space, we would have rated this 5 stars. But great service is so important.

    This was a really nice property centrally located to some great places. First day I even woke up to a violinist and laying outside my window! I would say the only downside is the wifi and reception. Not the hotel’s fault but Rome is just awful with reception and wifi. If you’re coming, order a MiFi hotspot that you can pick up from the airport on arrival. You should always have good reception with it. Great hotel!
