Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk/Downtown

Great location. Almost everything are within a walking distance, 15-20mins max. The rooms are a suite so it is spacious. Breakfast is also included.

Room was excellent, staff was helpful and kind. Only complaint is are that the breakfast was exactly the same for our 4 night stay.

The room stunk , they attempted to spray with air fresheners but didn’t help.

The only downside to the property is that the parking is 100% valet, but the valets were very good and attentive, I typically would request my vehicle when in my room and by the time I got downstairs my vehicle was being pulled up.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel this past week. The staff was courteous and helpful. We had an A/C issue when we first arrived, and they sent someone to fix it that same day. We enjoyed the location and the room was very clean and comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay at a nice hotel on the Riverwalk in San Antonio.

We took a family trip to Dan Antonio. The hotel is located only a couple blocks from the riverwalk restaurant district. The hotel was very accommodating. My daughter lived the rooftop pool. The downside was the $56 a night for parking but there are other options close by that are less than half of that a night.

The location was good and convenient for our needs. The front desk person seemed concerned and did what she could do from the front desk, as she stated she had no one to address our concerns. The valet personnel were really helpful, courteous and prompt.

The property was clean. I’d like to commend the maintenance man. He fixed a light in the room and was very respectful and kind. Keep it up. We had mixed experiences with the front desk. The lady at checkout was kind. Checking in was not a good expwrience.

Above everything, the entire staff was absolutely amazing! We were in town for my son’s graduation at Ft. Sam Houston, so we were a large crowd! We had a few bumps and hiccups along the way, as is expected for such a large group and each and every staff member that we dealt with went above and beyond to fix any concerns we had. We happened to be there during the Spurs Championship tournament, so our hotel, much like many others was packed! But that didn’t make us feel any less important. 100% recommend! Oh and since my son will miss the next few birthdays for his little brother, we had a pool party for him, as our trip was just before his birthday, and we loved the view from the pool on the roof! I do wished we could have been able to watch the sunrise from the pool area, but safety of the children is way more important, so we totally understand having certain hours that it is opened. So many things were just within walking distance of our hotel and that was very convenient. Some of our group valet parked and those guys were on the ball, especially as crazy as it was at check-out the next morning. The rest of us parked in the lot across the street and next to the parking garage. It was the best priced we found, at $20/day. The garage was $25 I believe and since we stayed 4 days, it definitely made a difference with 3 other vehicles. Also, it was easier to maneuver than the parking garage across from the hotel. We never had an issue with it being full during our stay.

Wonderful stay! Right on the Riverwalk and easily accessible to downtown for other attractions. The Front Desk staff were very helpful in providing information about the area and the best ways to see the city. Our toilet was plugged and the maintenance staff were extremely speedy in resolution. Affordable and comfortable.

Everything was very good... My only personal opinion is the Breakfast could have been a little better with either having pancakes or waffles or Biscuits/gravy.

The property was very clean and well maintained very organized. The breakfast was ok not the best but good. This is such a great property for families with children.

Location was good and the staff was friendly. Had to switch rooms because of the air conditioner not cooling off the entire room and it was slightly better in the second room but was still unpleasant to the point we had to check out at 3:30 am.

The floors were horrible and for a Hilton it did not measure up. On the web it looked pretty and nice but the look was deceiving.

The location is great. Easy access to everything. The outside was undergoing construction so the view to the Riverwalk wasnt that great. The price of the rooms were great compared to the area, especially if you have a big family because the suites are accommodating. Entering and exiting with a car is very difficult because the access to the garage and hotel is very small. The parking prices are very expensive, but everywhere is, $52 for the night. The breakfast is a typical breakfast and its great they offer it, because a lot of hotels on the Riverwalk don't not offer it. The inside of the hotel is pretty old and the lobby is kind of small and crowded during check in and at breakfast. The rooms offer a decent size fridge and microwave which is very convenient. Overall it is a decent, affordable place, thats accommodating to large families. I would not park or drive my vehicle near the hotel unless you want to wait. I would park at a nearby, cheap garage and walk in, if you are able with your bags.

the spur games and 1 of the office lady's was amazing trying to help us and make everything better well our room didn't have ac and when it did it was 75 and higher so we had to buy fans to make sure our family was ok to sleep and enjoy their stay. plus breakfest they had closed earlier then they were supposed to and rushed us when we were eating

I liked the room. It is my second time here and I really enjoy how close this place is to everything. I feel like the breakfast has gotten smaller, with fewer options from the first time I was there. Also I was tricked into signing in for the Hilton reward program. Just because I am smiling and being nice to receptionist doesn’t mean I can be tricked. But either than that I liked the experience.

I don’t recommend going on a night that the Stars play. When they win there is madness in the streets for hours into the night. Cars, motorcycles etc revving and yelling for hours!!!! Crazy loud if you’re in a room on that side of the hotel!

It was in a good location. The room smelled like a garbage disposal, there was a roach, the floor carpet was soaked through making my shoes wet, the TV never had signal, I couldn’t trust the cleanliness of the amenities.

This was the worst customer service, they had to move us two times and we still ended up with a broken air conditioner. A refund was definitely necessary. Do not stay at this hotel.

The staff was wonderful and the upgrade was spectacular. I loved that the pool was available all day long and the location in the middle of the Riverwalk put everything we wanted to do within walking distance.

Everything was great except the breakfast. Though they were working hard, The two ladies on staff could not keep the food trays full. I was there at 8:06 and there was meager offerings in the potatoe and pork carnitas, eggs were ok, no forks. By 9:08 all containers were full but that was a long time to wait to fill your plate. Bagels, waffles and toast were plentiful for those who like starches.

I loved how the breakfast menu rotated slightly each day and the options were varied. The food was also good and the eating area was pretty with views of the river. The room was a great size with plenty of space for our family. Everyone was kind and accommodating. We had a great time!

Yes minus the beginning while checking in they never told us we have to pay for vallet parking, the young guys drive the vehicles very bad so we decided not to go with that route. We did our own selt parking. The AC compresser was extremely very loud.

The room was very clean, but it did have a very strong smell like wet towels or maybe the rugs. We really enjoyed the scent of the lobby and hoped it would be in the room too. The breakfast was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way possible.

The only downside was one of the valet attendants, who came across as a bit rude. And there was no biscuits and gravy.

The property is nicely updated and the staff are friendly. Hot breakfast is a welcome amenity. The pool is tiny with no shade.

What me and my family didnt like was that once we got in the elevator from the lobby to go to our floor 2 girls came out of no where jumped in the elevator and im guessing they were a couple and they start touching each other infront of my family including kids.. Dont have nothing against same gender couples but doing it infront of kids thats just not right.

We loved Sonia. She checked us in and gave us all the important info that we needed. She was so positive, warm and friendly. She made us feel so welcome. Sonia also helped us get tickets for the river boat. Everytime we needed something she always remembered who we were and took care of us. For example, she took good care of our luggage when we checked in and when we needed to leave the luggage there due to a later plane flight. I liked everything!

Great experience. As a family of four we booked the double beds with the sofa couch. It was a spacious room and overlooked the river walk. Great breakfast. We definitely recommend!

They only offer valet, paid 176 for 1.5 nights which is ridiculous, and had a late check in since my room “wasn’t ready”

This was the worst stay I’ve ever had. We showed up at 645 and the rooms were supposed to be available at 4pm for checkin. The staff was rude and would not give any estimate of when we would have a room available. They just said we need to wait and recommended we go eat and come back later while we have our bags with us. They didn’t even apologize or say why it was delayed. My family waited in the lobby for over an hour and they didn’t even check in on us until I notified Hotels.com. Parking was terrible at 50 dollars a day. The hotel floors were muddy and the hotel smelled bad. I will not be booking here again. This was my first bad hotel experience. Breakfast was not good either.

Traveled with my little daughter who was on spring break, and with my 87 year old dad and 84 year old mom who celebrated her birthday Saturday night. Unknown to us while sleeping, my dad went down to the lobby to retrieve a luggage cart to prepare our luggages for checkout. As soon as we came out of the elevator in the morning, the lady at the front counter proceeded to mockingly clap and embarrass our entire group in front of everyone at the lobby, and in a loud voice let everybody know we were the culprits. I understood and apologized. My dad probably didn’t even know the hotel only had a limited number of carts at their disposal. Nonetheless, the public shaming we endured from this lady was uncalled for. Totallly ruined the vacation, my elderly parents did not deserve that public humiliation. Not to mention the hotel charges exorbitant rates for valet, but could not provide enough carts for guests.

The hotel did offer to shampoo the carpet again but rather than continue to deal with the smell, we chose to leave and book a room for one night at a hotel nearby. The front desk was nice and did try to help but overall, that urine smell was unbearable and we were told were not eligible for a refund or room switch. Location was good, easy access to the Riverwalk. Hotel was clean. Breakfast buffet was good but would have benefited from the addition of shredded cheese and salsa, this is Texas after all.

The suites were kept in great shape and the staff were very amicable, tending to your needs efficiently. The breakfast had a variety of options and they were very intentional about restocking complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby throughout the day. Thank you for the hospitality and grateful for the stay.

I always stay at this hotel when I come to San Antonio. I got one of the newly renovated rooms and was thrilled with how spacious it was.

Excellent experience

It was a nice and clean hotel. It was in a great location. The river walk is a very walkable district. The 2 room suite was very spacious, however the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The breakfast was your average hotel spread, nothing of note but gets the job done. The pool is on the roof, which has spectacular views, but the pool is very small. Staff was very friendly and the valet was always prompt and polite.

My stay was amazing. The only real issue was having to pay for parking but it's understandable considering it's in the heart of San Antonio and parking is scares. But I would have been nice is the hotel had their parking available for guest at no cost. However, it was still an excellent experience.

They dont offer self parking at their property, only valet. It was hard to find a go

Clean room except our bathroom outlet wasn’t working & we had to get ready for our concert. So we had to use a different outlet in the living room area till they showed up and tried to fix it. Then had us use an extension cord so we could get ready in front of the mirror in the bathroom. While the maintenance guy was intgeee as well trying to fix the outlet.

When we arrived, only one person was working at the front desk, and the check-in process felt unprofessional. We were told they were “low on keys,” and communication was poor. Our room looked nice, but the door lock was broken — it wouldn’t lock from the inside or outside. Maintenance came quickly and fixed it later that evening, but the front desk staff was rude and unhelpful throughout the process. To make matters worse, there was no hot water for showers. Overall, the location is the only positive. The customer service and maintenance issues made this stay disappointing. There are plenty of other hotels nearby that likely offer a better experience

$50 per night for parking is a little steep, but overall it was a very nice hotel.

Riverwalk is excellent. Hotel is close to the river and offers a great breakfast and comfortable rooms.

Victor customer service was outstanding very helpful and professional his restaurant suggestions were great, my food was delivered to the Westin Hotel next door By Grub Hub ( I Highly DONT RECOMMEND GRUB HUB FOR ANYTHING) Victor walked over and got my food order . My only complaint is there should be rooms for guest with animals so they don’t disturb other guests without animals. There was a huge stain on the carpet outside my door . But over all I was please

This place was the total package. Easy stroll to a number of excellent river walk restaurants, very close to the Alamo, hot breakfast which was fully stocked all morning, great customer service at the check-in counter and valet desk, and they deal directly with the river walk tour boat company so it’s hassle free to buy tickets. I would happily stay here on my next trip to San Antonio.

Our stay was not what we expected the parking was not explained when booking the room- which we had to get valet parking which was at a high rate. Had to get our room switched do to the restrooms having a water leak. Traveling with kids and having this issue when checking in was not something we needed

Really good stay would return the beds were comfy and had no issues.

It was close to everything the room actually got very cold I loved that.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast selections were identical each of the 4 days.

The front desk people were very accommodating and friendly. We requested a room on the same floor as my son and got one on the spot. The rooms on the second floor were very nice and clean. Overall a great experience.

The staff and location are what makes this property great. The room was okay. Ours had a strong river/fish smell. Breakfast was good for a continental as well.

Our suite was big it was a 1 bedroom queen and king bed and a pull out . Parking is valet only and 49 dollars . We parked across the street for 40 dollars a night . We did not access our car till we left San Antonio . Most of our time was spent at the Alamo and River walk It’s right on the river walk and very accessible.

We always stay at Homewood suits and this one was great except that the air conditioning in the king suit was not great. The bedroom would get cold but common area was hot. Also, the staff seemed short staffed and not very friendly. Mainly the front desk was the issue. I had to call and ask multiple times for towels and trash bags and I finally went to the front desk and collected them. Also, the valet parking was outrageously priced at $50 daily. We just parked across the street for a couple of the nights we were there because it was half the price. Other than that the location and everything else was great.

Good location, right on Riverwalk, but no direct access from hotel to Riverwalk. Nice spacious room, we have a 1 bedroom suite with a living room having sleeper sofa, kitchenette with microwave and fridge and dining area. Staff is good. Breakfast is reasonable, with egg/sausage/waffles/bread etc. Parking garage is across the street, a bout pricy but this is a tourist area.

No free parking on property except for valet which is very expensive.

It was amazing

The room was clean and spacious. Valet parking made it easy to get in and out of the hotel. Breakfasts was also good. Had a variety of options eggs, sausage, hash browns, cereal, bagels, and waffles in a cute Texas shape which the kids loved! Overall a good experience.

The room, was amazing with the pull out sofa. The service staff valet parking, desk people all very helpful! With 3 grandchildren your hotel made my stay enjoyable and the breakfast was delicious. Hotel was conveniently located on the river and I could walk or grab a quick, cheap ride share easily. Room was clean, spacious and updated. Loved the kitchen as I was there for several days.

Great location on the River Walk. Walking distance to most locations along The Riverwalk, The Alamo, and The Shops Rivercenter. Breakfast was served hot every morning with three Texas shaped waffle stations and coffee area available. Staff was very kind and helpful. The valet was also very organized and easy to leave and retrieve your vehicle. (10 min notice) The valet is around $50 a day. The hotel also places a hold for $175 accidental charge while at check-in. The room was so spacious, clean and modern. Hotel really was wonderful. I would recommend.

I stayed at this hotel recently and was disappointed with the experience. There was no extra hospitality staff available when needed, which made it hard to get help. The hotel structure feels old and in need of renovation, and the exhaust fans in the bathrooms were not working, which was quite uncomfortable. Overall, the stay could have been much better with some improvements.

Valet issues.

The hotel was very nice, breakfast was much better than I expected too. The staff were all amazing, front desk, breakfast staff, cleaning, everyone was incredibly friendly and professional. Would definitely visit again!

We were so impressed by all that we may start choosing this hotel fir our family instead of optimal riverwalk location hotels. Only downside was they did not offer late checkout but made it up by holding luggage while we went shopping.

the staff was very gracious, personable, hospitable and extended a genuine attitude to offer assistance when asked. The housekeeping staff did a tremendous job in maintaining the facility. My stay was very enjoyable. And we were impressed with the City of San Antonio.

They double charged me and this is the 2nd time they have done that. I called and they said they only show one charge so now I have to dispute the second charge again and wait another 14 business days for it to b e returned.. will never stay here again..

The man in charge of the breakfast in the mornings was wonderful. He kept everything clean, organized and stocked CONSISTENTLY.

We stayed in a suit with kitchen for two nights, AC was not working neither the dishwasher. No towels were there in the washroom when we asked they provided us. For AC they took whole night to send an electrician, and we slept without the AC for one whole night they just gave us the fan when we asked. Breakfast okay

We went down to San Antonio for a concert(s) that I wanted to attend. The venue was only two blocks away from The Hotel. The stay was pleasant. The breakfast was ok. One morning they were so behind and the servers did not have enough food prepared for the overwhelming visitors. The room was very comfortable. The only other issue we had was that there was no easy way to setup the PS5 to watch streaming shows. We had to personally call the IT and have them setup a safe path so we can be online to watch our Netflix, Hulu, Prime at night time.

We loved the location...it was a close walk to everything we wanted to do, their hospitality from needed extra towels to asking breakfast in the morning. We decided we might use the pull-out sofa late that night for one of our kids (to separate them), the sheets provided in the closet did not seem to be clean.

I was supposed to have suite for 6 people when I arrived at the hotel, I was told they didn’t have any more rooms for six people. I had to take a room for four people and two other people were given another room down the hall. I was very upset about this because this was a girlfriend’s weekend and we were all supposed to be in the same suite. I feel if the hotel had overbooked they should’ve contacted me before. I got down there to let me know what was going on.
