Good hotel with a spacious two-room suite, comfortable beds, and a good breakfast. The room was quiet, which made for a great night's sleep. The front desk receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The only issue we experienced was an unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioner in room 319.

The front desk staff on check out was great but the check-in staff was awful and very abrupt. Found 2 insects in our room. Aircon unit smells of mould. Carpet in the room was dirty. One of the bedside lampshades/lights is not working.

Worst hotel. Big rats outside, cracked bathroom wall. Cheap towels, dead lobby with white lights, no welcoming front desk, mold smell in the room. I am not sure how holiday inn is allowing this type of operation

The room and bathroom were clean. However, we had to request towels because although we were 6 we only had 3 towels in the room. Also, my son was on the sofa couch and there were no sheets or pillows for him to set it up and the mattress was definitely a sore to look at. The breakfast was ok nothing special but you have your basics pre made omelets, pancakes, oatmeal etc.

We were in room 310. The shower in that room has very little grip on the floor of the tub. I would highly recommend putting something on the floor of the tub because someone is going to take a hard fall. It's too slippery.

Overall it was okay for the price. The lady working the front desk was really nice and speedy with our check in process. The room was spacious which was great, but it could have been cleaner. The carpet looked dirty, sheets had stains, bes was super itchy, and the temp was uncomfortable even after adjusting the temp on AC. On another note... the restroom light switch was on the outside of the restroom which was weird.

The breakfast was not the best, but it was edible. The room was clean, gym equipment worked well. Staff was nice and friendly! I’d stay here again for sure. The riverwalk is 15-20 minute walk and 8-10 minute walk to the market. This hotel is family friendly. The parking is free and they have computer if you need it. They also have snacks in the lobby everything is $2 so that’s good.

Room phone was not working but we didn't need it. Refrigerator was not cold enough and had no way to adjust cooling. Room AC was good but not excellent.

It was a good location. It was a bit loud on our floor. Staff was very friendly.

Clean rooms, courteous staff, and house keeping was very attentive. The location was not close to shopping and restaurants. However, there were a couple of malls within 10-12 miles from the hotel.

The bed sheets were clean and was confortable. I booked two rooms, my room was really smelly and the carpet had food scraps, meaning that wasn't cleaned after the last guest, my coworkers was pretty much the same, he said there was vlod stain by the toilet

We slept great, the room was clean, the staff was very friendly and check in was the fastest I’ve ever experienced. The down side was the elevator was out but we didn’t have a problem with the stairs that were very conveniently located. There was also a lot of loud music outside that we could hear in our room but it was a Saturday night so I think that was why. It didn’t keep us from sleeping because we used white noise. We didn’t have time to eat breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

We used the fold out bed and the front desk would not supply extra pillows. We needed extra towels and they gave us one. Only ate there one time the fact it was located close to for the reason we in Dan Antonio The low toilets, I think all toilets should be higher due to people with bad knees and not on in a handicap room

I like that i didnt realized the presence of 3 walking roaches, size of approx 4cm each. I got video and picture if you want them. There was no one when i turned in my key cards so i wasnt able to show it to them. The bathroom door was not closing easily. The entrance door had chipped lamination as if someone had tried to force it open. Not a very safe feeling. The bathroom toilet paper holder was wobly and the screws were holding for dear life. I like the family suite convenience but the sofa bed is quite old and the mattress comfort is non existen so i slept with the sofa closed. I am 5 7 so i had to sleep with my knees bent. I like the friendly hardworker that assists us, she remember my name and situation with our handicapped special kid and how smart she was logistically placing us on the first floor. I liked the fact that there were not many people crowding the breakfast but i realized that plenty of people left without even looking at the breakfast bar. I like that they are remodeling the floor and trying to update the lobby. To find the roaches in the morning... what if they walked over my stuff during the evening? what if they were walking over my childs medications? I didnt like the condition of the door and the sofa bed or futton that kept me slightly uncomfortable since 11pm to 7am. I didnt like the smell of moisture or dampened or non vented as soon as you open the door on arrival to the room.

When I checked in the front desk employee was very helpful and courteous. Got everything I needed for my stay and was very happy because my daughter was getting married the next day. The room was huge and very clean and comfy. And the breakfast they had was amazing, the cooks really knew how to make everything so tasty. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. Thank you for allowing me the honor of staying in your fine establishment. Nothing everything was great.

I got this room for my kids for the Christmas holiday and it was a great stay according to them! Breakfast was good and free parking in a downtown that charges for parking just about everywhere! Would definitely book here again

We were not initially given the ADA accessible room we had booked online. However as soon as the desk clerk realized the error, it was corrected and room key exchanged quickly.

The hotel is nice. Our room was top notch clean, which is much appreciated. I will say though, the picture of the front of the hotel property is not exactly what the hotel looks like. The paint colors is only partially the same and there are no tall palm trees in front. The pic makes the outside of the hotel look nicer. You pull up and wonder if you are at the right hotel. But again, other than that, no issues. I would stay there again.

Loved the size of the suite and the cleanliness of the room and facilities. Breakfast was alright but free so no real complaints. The rooms were pretty dimly lit and that was my only slight issue. Overall, I’d stay again. I went with my fam to check out the riverwalk for a weekend trip.

This hotel was clean and well-taken care of! I really appreciated that and also the very courteous staff that I spoke with. Even though there was usually just one person present at the desk, she remained very patient and professional even when there was quite a few people present waiting to be served. The breakfast buffet was well-prepared and there was a variety of choices to chose from. They never ran out of food in the buffet either, which was great!

We were only allowed one parking sticker, our sink was stopped up despite numerous times telling them. Finally I attempted to unstop it myself with no luck. The elevator was horribly slow. Staff is super nice though!

We stayed at this property about 2 years ago which was fine. This year it wasn’t good at all. Staff was not helpful and rude. They gave us a room with a window facing the pool that was super loud. Since the room phone didn’t work we had to walk to the front desk to ask if they would address the party happening at the pool. They were rude when asked and went out about 10 or so minutes after that. We needed to use the washer & dryer but they only have one for all guests to utilize so that didn’t happen. Breakfast wasn’t great and just seems like the new owners are cutting costs wherever they can

The hotel is conveniently located, but is dated and unclean. Had I not pre-paid I would have walked. The couch cushions were not put back correctly and you could tell the cleaning staff wasn't thorough. The real kicker was after returning from dinner, I went to put away my leftovers in the refrigerator and there was old food in there that wasn't mine.

We planned on stay just one night and contacted Expedia to cancel the next night and management refused to provide a refund. It was a mess.

I was a little nervous about the location but other than that the people running the place were wonderful! The rooms were spotless. The breakfast was good. I would stay there agsin

The pool was dirty. I asked for an extra pillow and it smelled like sweat, the room smelled musty.

The hotel itself we fine, nothing to rave about. However, the stay was awful. We could not sleep due to a bar next door with loud music that played past 1am. We simply wanted to get a good night's rest but that was impossible at this hotel. We called the front desk and they were aware of the issue and said they'd call the police and make a complaint. Either way, I would not recommend staying here if you want to rest well.

Location was apt, very close to the Alamo, 2 minutes drive. The breakfast was awesome. Only downside is that the coffee maker in the room seems to be dormant so haboured insects. But in all, it was a great experience. The kids enjoyed the pool, the gym and all. I rate it a 4.8

I have no complaints. The stay was pleasant.

I was hoping our extended room was like pics posted i was expecting 3 queen beds and the sofa area

When we got to our room, we noticed an odd smell, probably due to the renovations that were underway. This caused us to check the room a little more closely. The bathtub had hair in it. The microwave was dusty and the in-room refrigerator did not work well enough to keep my wife’s insulin cool. We went to the pool, and there were some dirty clothes at poolside and a wad of hair in the pool. I received a text from the hotel asking about our satisfaction. I notified them that we were not happy and were considering checking out. No response. Totally disappointed.

Sanding and repairing going on during our stay, exacerbated breathing symptoms. Husband had to use nebulizer several times.

Property is under construction and rooms need a major paint job and deep clean.

The staff is incredible. Everyone we met is amicable, professional, helpful. The room and eating area were clean. The staff do a good job at keeping it clean. Now, the building needs lots of maintenance. It looks old, the carpet is old, and needs some TLC. The company needs to invest on remodeling. There's a lot of competition in SAT. Keep it up. Thank you

I had read previous reviews and had higher expectations for the property. The area wasn’t my favorite. I didn’t feel super comfortable trying to explore. The hotel is dated— it’s not falling apart by any means but just feels like it could use a good deep cleaning. The room was spacious with the exception of the bathroom which was tiny. The door kept getting stuck when you had it closed and tried to open it. The tub took a while to drain. The bed sheets didn’t look the best. Sunday evening music was blasting from the bar behind the hotel— not that hotels fault but just a heads up that could be part of your stay. The staff was very nice which I appreciate. Overall— just didn’t feel super comfortable or clean. Didn’t feel family friendly. I’d recommend exploring other options before booking.

The girl is receptionist was excellent. I didn't get her name was she was on top of it. It was a very busy week and she handled everything with a smile. TV was not working and had it serviced immediately. Great overall. We will definitely stay here again.

It was ok, just didnt luke the fact it wasnt pet friendly, also they need better optiins for breakfast, maybe donuts, donut holes, everything bagel, omlet

our room had a water leak on the ceiling and you can tell they tried to repair it. The walls had stuff on it not sure what it was.

Booking thru Expedia we saved on our room plus we can always count on the free breakfast saving us more money on our trip. There was a street biker bar behind the Hotel that played there music very loud until 10pm. A bit annoying trying to sleep however they did shut down at 10pm.and all was fine again. Make sire you book a room on the front of the hotel. Otherwise the hotel and staff was great.

Staff were good and had a good attitude. The breakfast was also good. The only problem is the hygiene which is poor. The bed had hair and stains and majority of things in the hotel room such as the couch were poor quality.

1.2 miles away approximately from the Riverwalk center area. Easy to walk to and from Market Square and the main downtown area near the Riverwalk.

The couch where we were sleeping in was very uncomfortable you could feel the wires. I was only given a sheet to put on mattress. When I asked for blanket they said no. Also the room smelled and was very humid.

This hotel definetly needs a upgrade. Everything looks old. Morning breakfast is not that good. AC was not working properly.Its not worth for 200$ per night stay.I will not recommend this hotel for a family stay

Staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Clean amenities and adequate breakfast. Very close to the Riverwalk, the Alamo, San Antonio Zoo, SeaWorld, and more! Would stay here again.

This Holiday Inn is a bit dated. The elevator is extremely slow, better to take the stairs. The room…The floor was a bit sticky and the room itself had a stale odor to it that was persistent. Don’t know if it was the carpet or the a/c filters but it was bad.

It wasnt great the carpet had a weird smell. The bathroom had mold and overall the hotel seemed to be falling apart.

Enjoyed the property. Very clean and polite staff.

This property is NOT at the river walk. It was dirty, the water did not get hot, the phone in the room didn’t even work to call the front desk and when I talked to someone they did nothing. Will never stay here again.

Thanks to the front desk I think she was from India, she was so sweet and nice too. We only have something that I know it depends the bank but we are still waiting for the deposit. We made the check out on Sunday 28, July but still nothing 😑

There was ticks all over the bed good thing I woke up and seen them at 3am. Very nasty, never staying at a holiday inn again. The pictures were documented by the front desk.

The only complaint about wash sink was bad 👎 very slowly water Sinking. Not only that the couch bed was very thin and uncomfortable.

The master bed room did not have a television. The room smelled like urine and the carpets were filthy, restroom walls were also dirty.

For the first time i booked this hotel, and will be the last, pathetic hotel i have ever stayed, nothing is good to tell about the room, room atmosphere, sofa bed, bathroom microwave, you name it i had very bad experience. Nothing is good. My vote is down.

Hotel is very outdated, needs a lot of maintenance, and smells very stale and dank. The pictures online and nightly rate was very deceiving! Makes you think it is a nice, new Holiday Inn. It is absolutely is not. The hotel is very old and has not been refurbished, there are so many updates and repairs needed. The hotel has a very old, stale smell and is an eyesore. Paint, flooring, carpet, and tile are all very old. The AC unit was ancient and the air filters were completely disgusting and dirty. The shower did not have a shower head, just a wand. And the flooring was cracked in the bathroom, every time it was stepped on, the tile shifted around. I laid a towel down so no one would cut our feet. The pull out sofa bed was so uncomfortable, it had a huge dip in the middle of it, because it was so old and worn out. The pancake machine was broken, kids were pretty upset about that. I would never stay here again and feel like I was swindled due to the rates they charge. Very frustrating stay.

This is an okay hotel but it is very old. Its okay clean but not the best

Perfect for what we needed: a clean, nice, big room where I felt comfortable. The breakfast was a hot mess, overcrowded in the tiny space with only one way in and out. The pancake machine stopped working right when my kid got to it. Luckily, we decided to leave for breakfast, but some people depend on eating breakfast there to save money, which is terrible.

Room was clean, and had very good air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and always had a smile on their faces. Made us feel welcomed. Only downside was the tub and bathroom ceiling was a bit moldy. The room telephone wasn’t working. We had a room above us that had kids stomping and jumping all night and morning. We called front desk so many times. However they were unable to control the guests above us and had to deal with the noise for two nights in a row.

Customer Service

The manager at the property was not very professional. Lacked customer service and very rude. I would not recommend staying here to anyone as long as this manager is still there.
