Staff and service were great! Room was clean , breakfast was excellent and close to all main attractions. Only complaint my family and I have is the pool needed to be cleaned. Trash , bugs , leaves , toilet paper and a tampon were in the water. San Antonio is a great tourist spot and family friendly!

The location was on the edge of sketchy. So close to the River Walk and yet so far from cool. The room was very humid. I kept the air conditioner on, but it felt moist all of the time. Although it was recently updated, but very poorly designed. So much space, but a lot was unusable. The Kitchenette was handy, but there was no dining room table or sofa. The bathroom had a large counter that kept the door from being opened easily. A small modification in the shape of the counter would have kept my hip from being bruised. The staff were polite and efficient.

Mary and the staff were so nice and personable! My flight was early so they allowed me to check-in to my room early and they gave me an upgrade! The hotel is going through a minor remodel and it is very nice. You must get a suite when you come visit them!

The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Pretty sure this place has bed bugs. Only stayed one night and woke up with bug bites in several places on my skin. I'd skip this place if I were you. Better to be safe than sorry.

Building was under construction, mess everywhere. Elevator only worked half of the time and staff wouldn’t let us use the stairs because they were also under construction

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so there is construction within the hotel and less parking spaces due to the materials that are stored there. That makes for a tricky parking situation if you are driving and coming back later at night when the spaces are full (like I did). However, the front desk staff was super helpful. I arrived a couple of hours earlier than check in, but unfortunately the hotel was completely packed. Ms. Mary at the front desk was able to figure something out and I was able to get checked in and be ready for where I needed to be at 3 pm. I really appreciated that.

The breakfast was delicious. Lots of variety. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff is very friendly and personable especially Aracely! Our stay was terrific!

I had a great time staying at Holiday Inn Express. The room was clean and modern. Carlos was extra special while taking care of everyone at the desk. Even though he was very busy he made you feel special. He would take care of your every need. The breakfast had a variety of food and it tasted good. I would definitely recommend this hotel

The room was great. We were traveling with another couple so we got a 2 bed suite. The living area was comfortable enough for 4 adults to visit, watch tv and sip cocktails. It’s our favorite hotel when we are in town for the rodeo.

I stayed at this same location last year, and the hotel was “under construction” at that time. The hot tub did not work last year, still doesn’t. Parking lot is small and hard to get out of.

Staff was friendly, but the room was hot we had to go buy a fan. We put the AC to 66 which was lowest it would go but room was hot and when AC was running it was very loud and made a rattling noise.

Three different rooms in 3 nights. We were promised a discount for all the trouble but when we checked out they said that since we booked through hotels.com that they couldn’t refund us anything.

The front desk was very sweet. The walls looked like it needed new paint or a good cleaning (black smear marks on walls) and then the bathroom had a lot of rust. Also I don’t know if it’s because of the renovations they had recently or are ongoing but the rooms were very hot even with the AC on we had to request a fan.

Rode in on Amtrak and it's a very short walk from the Amtrak station to the holiday inn rivercenter. We came in around 11 pm but still felt safe waiting to check in. Very friendly staff and excellent clean and spacious rooms. We will definitely return when back in San Antonio

We were not impressed with the breakfast. We had a very warm room when we arrived and had to get management involved. They did “reset” the ac and it worked fine the remainder of the stay.

The room was amazing, better than I was accepting. It was only me and my 2 young kids. The room could easily hold 8 people.

Super spacious, separate seating area with little kitchenette, sink is outside the bathroom, amenities provided in bottles on the bathroom wall so you don’t have to bring any ( though we always bring Bec not all hotels provide well and I don’t like having to ask for stuffs)

Our stay was better than expected, loved our King Suite, bed and space was great. Carlos the manager, was very nice and helpful. We would recommend staying here for a short weekend.

Property is in a convenient location. Otherwise, I’d say pretty much avoid. Rooms were fairly clean, but the hotel drastically needs updating. There are homeless people walking through the parking lot and around the outside of the parking lot. My kids were nervous. Parking is very limited and at night it’s almost impossible to find a parking spot.

Loved the hotel, staff, bed, and free breakfast!! The area around the hotel wasn't so great, but not terrible. There's also a lot of food that seem to have meetings there, so it's safe.theres usually electric scooters out front that you can take down the road to the river walk also. That was super convenient!

This was a reasonably comfortable stay with the major bonus the close location to the train station (arrived in, and left San Antonio by train). The room was spacious. Room and bathroom were nice and clean. A comfortable king bed, nice and quiet and a good sleep. Kitchenette with microwave, sink, fridge, coffee. There was a guest laundry for $2.50 - change and detergent available at reception (detergent in shop). Breakfast included, but only average. Another bonus is the friendly and helpful staff. Convenient powerpoints in a hotel for a change. Convenience shop in reception. 10 min walk to Riverwalk and Alamo. No room safe. Would stay again.

Not confident that the cleaning staff is doing even the bare minimum. In order to get to the river walk, you have to walk and risk being blocked by a stopped train (happened to us) with no easy way to go around without a very long walk to avoid it and the area has a lot of homeless people so not a safe idea to venture through side streets. The parking was awful as there isn't very much room and some parking spaces barely fit small cars so our SUV was nearly on the line on both sides. If it was free, I wouldn't stay here again.

Perfect location- minutes away from everything somehow. Yummy continental breakfast with many options. Free, on-site parking was well lit; I felt comfortable (as a solo female) walking across at night. The room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay in again!

The one condition I did not feel comfortable with is that on Saturday, March 1 there was so much noise we could not sleep. 11am . I called the front desk and I was told there was renovations going on on the floor above our room. The charge for that room should have been discounted or we given the option to have another room at the onset of reservation.

The bathroom toliet in 209 was so short I actually felt I was squatting outside in the woods. You HAVE to replace them so us tall folks can feel more comfortable. Also, construction 2 floors above us was going on until 6:30, new years eve. Sort of put a damper on the night.

Everyone was great and very helpful

We liked this property. Free parking and easy walk to the river walk. If you dont want to pay the high prices “on the river walk “ this is a great choice. We will stay here again

Room service was lacking,I asked for washcloths,and a handtowel,2 days later,I went to the front desk to get them and toilet paper which we also needed by then.The front desk staff ,however,was wonderful,helpful,courteous. One of the staff even offered me her own umbrella to use for the day.

Older property with doe street noise but good for the price. Free parking was nice.

I have stayed at this hotel many times before and have never had a problem. I got a King Suite this time and it was the worst room I have been in. Shower did not work. Headboard was stained. Just felt nasty.

The elevator needs to get updated or add an additional one. I was stuck for about 2 minutes. Good thing cell service works in elevator and I had contact with my family.

i would never stay at this property again . they have bed bugs and i am all bite up. the front desk associate was horrible and she tried asking as if she was a manager.

Mary at the front desk was amazingly helpful. She povided directions, helpful information and accomodated my family.

It was an excellent location with excellent staff! Excellent breakfast!

The property itself was amazing besides people that didn’t know how to park and the train that stopped in the middle of Commerce for a long time until I found a way around it. The bed was sunken inimthe middle so I haven’t really slept well all weekend. Staff was great, breakfast was great, property was great.

Stayed here for a business conference. Building is dated and therefore, rooms are dated. Carpet inside room was gross. Bathroom cleaning needs significant improvement. Bathroom fixtures also needs to be upgraded. Bed was okay. I was too tired to care about the comfort, but personally, it was below par as compared to other Holiday Inn Express' I've stayed at. One consistent thing was, breakfast and service during breakfast. Good selection of breakfast items and was well replenished. Decent location of hotel. It's 12 mins walking to the Henry B. Gonzalez convention centre. I would look for other places to stay at, but would do this if nothing else is available.

The staff is very friendly, they greet you from the moment you come in and every time you head out. The only downside is that the rooms need some remodeling to be done and most of the buildings around the area look rundown and abandoned, which brings a lot of homeless being right outside the hotel making the place look unpleasant. Other than that everything else looks just like the pictures in yelp

Walking distance to the River Walk. We enjoyed our stay. The room was nice, clean, comfortable.

This was a good distance a way from the freeway but also perfect to walk to the river walk and Rivercenter

Staff was kind and welcoming. Expedia app showed checkout at 12 but it was actually 11. Staff was considerate and allowed us to do a late checkout.

It was amazing other than it did get hot at night. Unable to control temp.

All the employees were really nice and genuine. The guy who cleans at night always told us hello and to have a wonderful day. They definitely made our stay feel safe and comfortable.

The staff was AMAZING. The shower floor was broken it had a sticker covering it, I guess to keep water out of it. But other than that everything was great!

The staff were amazing at this facility but for the price the tub had huge soft spots to the point that it made us nervous felt that the floor would give out to room below us, there was huge spots of black mold all over the ceiling of the bathroom and the mini fridge and air conditioner did not get cold enough. Maintenance is definitely needed. If you are planning to walk to the river walk there is a sketchy area between there and the hotel and parking downtown is astronomically priced as in 25$ a hour!!!

Had a great night’s stay here. Check-in and check-out were both easy, The room Clean and well/appointed and The Breakfast Was Excellent with many choices. The only downside was the location, not in the best part of town, no restaurants near-by but with planning ahead would def stay here again

There was only one trash bin in the whole room. The bed was horribly uncomfortable
